NFIB’s research shows a labor shortage continues to be an issue, with small business owners reporting little success filling their many job openings. NFIB members Jesus Arriola and Brandi Pine own small businesses in the staffing industry and discuss best practices and challenges in hiring. They highlight how they have diversified the ways they recruit, the reasons they have noticed businesses struggling to find skilled workers, and tips employers can keep in mind when trying to recruit and retain employees.
TAKE ACTION: Make your voice heard on labor and workforce issues such as workplace regulations, and hiring or working as an independent contractor.
More information: NFIB Research Center releases a monthly Small Business Economic Trends report with more information on labor shortages and small business uncertainty.
