Tuesday Announcements 7/22: Pie & Beer Day at Kiitos, Pioneer Day Celebrations, More Stickers, and This Week's Cider Guest

Ready to dive into all things Utah this Pioneer Day? We've packed this Tuesday update with everything you need to know about celebrating the holiday in style, whether you prefer the traditional approach or the more spirited "Pie and Beer Day" alternative.

Tomorrow's the big day! Join us at Kiito's Brewing for our Pie and Beer Day celebration featuring sweet treats from Pie Fight and savory options from Bum Bakes. Beyond the delicious pies and craft beer, we're giving away some serious concert swag. Scan a QR code and you could win seated tickets (not grass passes!) to see Russ and Big Sean at Utah First Amphitheater on August 8th. The Days of 47 Parade kicks off at 9am from South Temple and State Street, This is the Place Heritage Park hosts special events from 10:30am to 5pm, and both the Salt Lake Bees and Real Salt Lake will cap their games with fireworks displays. But I'm most excited about this weekend's upcoming episode featuring Brendan and Carly Coyle of Dendrick Estate, Utah's newest cidery. I recorded on their beautiful property in Camas where they grow all the fruits for their craft ciders and are building what promises to be an exceptional tasting room experience. It is me, eric Nielsen, thehost of the Small Lake City
podcast, and let's jump into itbecause there's a lot of stuff
coming up.

23rd, we have the Pie and BeerDay party at Keto's Brewing.

Also, on the topic of PioneerDay, or Pie and Beer Day, there
are definitely a lot of thingsgoing on.
So, number one, the Hallmarkevent, the Days of 47 Parade,
will be kicking off at 9 am, soit begins at South Temple and
State Street and goes south fromthere, so make sure to go see
some floats and cheer on somepeople.

There's also Pioneer Day at.

Which is it?
This is the place.
Up in Foothill, starting at 1030 am, going all the way to 5 pm
, the Salt Lake Bees are playingthe Albuquerque Isotopes, and
the best part about the games onthe 24th of July is there are
fireworks after as well as it'son the 26th, but we have Real
Salt Lake versus the San JoseEarthquakes that are going to

have some fireworks as well.
Then there's all.
Oh, actually that's not untillater.
But lastly, I want to introducethis week's guest.
So a few months ago, when I wasat an opening for a hotel, I
had someone come up to me andsay that they appreciated the
podcast and that they werebuilding on something that they
wanted to come onto the showwith.
Fast forward a few months laterand there I am recording with

Brendan and Carly Coyle on theirproperty, which has now become
Dendrick Estate.
Now Dendrick Estate is thenewest cidery to enter Utah, but
the fun thing about them is notonly is it located up in Camas,
but they grow all of the fruitsto make their cider.
They're building out a tastingroom and truly building an
empire of cider up there ontheir own land in our own state.

We recorded on the property andit's gorgeous, and I can't wait
to share this one with you.
