How Pornography Can Lead to Sexual Violence with Dr. John Foubert

We are excited to introduce todays guest on Smart Talks, Dr. John Foubert! Dr. Foubert brings decades of experience and research in the areas of pornography and sexual violence. He served for 5 years as the Highly Qualified Expert for Sexual Assault Prevention for the U.S. Army. He also founded the national nonprofit organization, One in Four, an organization that worked for 20 years to apply research to rape prevention programs on college campuses and in the military. Dr. Foubert serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Center on Sexual Exploitation, one of the nation’s leading organizations working to end sexual exploitation. He is an interdisciplinary scholar with over 50 peer-reviewed publications. The author of 11 books, he has also testified before Congress and has been called upon by the White House and all 4 branches of the military for his expertise. He has been featured in media including CNN, NPR, The New York Times, The Atlantic, World Magazine, The Washington Post, and U.S. News and World Report. Welcome, Dr. Foubert!
