Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome back to another edition of SMB
A South Park Reviewer. Each and ever, we like to
break out South Park you in linear fashion, one by
one until every episode is done and reviewed. We're back, baby,
because when this drops, it's January first, so you know
what that means. It means, ladies and gentlemen, we now

(00:24):
begin year number six of this podcast because we have
officially done it for five years, from twenty nineteen of
December to twenty forty four of December May, five years.
So now we start the sixty year, the sixth and
might some might say the final year for a while,
because after this year we will be caught up. We

(00:48):
are now coming to the end here season eighteen, which
means as we get shorter and shorter seasons, we're going
to be knocking this out this year. So that who
don't we gotta have.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Less than fifty episodes left?

Speaker 1 (01:05):
We do, we do, we do, We're getting We're at
two sixty and they're at at least what like three ten,
three fourteen or something like that. We're like, we're like
right there, We're gonna finish by the end of this year. Yeah,
So thanks for coming along. On the ride with us.
That's Joe Vernola's You're here and there the twenty twenty
two Red Rocks. They won south Park Trivia God the

(01:28):
Trivia Champion. What's up, Joe?

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Oh noo?

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Help lot.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Just chilling here in Vegas. I am not going not
going anywhere near that bad that saw the strip though, Vegas.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
Baby, No, you don't want to do that. Like actually,
like I had thought about going to New York. But
then my friend Big Ray who lives in Queens, which
I'm gonna go see him next month for we're doing
he's doing like a Royal rumble party. He was like,
do not come here. He was like, it is insanity.
And then he sent me a video he was like
look and it was like from some guy on Instagram.
He's like, hey, yo, this is fucking stopid. And then

(02:03):
like it goes to a video of like these people
lined up in Times Square from like five am this morning.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Yeah, just to say, just to.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Try and get a good spot for the ball to drop,
and you could just see the New York guys. This
is fucking dumb. Like you don't even have to go there.
You could like hang out down the street and you
could see the ball drop. It's fucking big.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
It's like, that's pretty good York.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Yeah, you know. I was like, okay, that makes sense.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
The thing is fucking huge.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
The thing is fucking huge. With the you can't see it.
He's probably right, that thing is probably pretty big. I
don't know, yeah exactly, it's probably pretty bad. Well, Ladies
in general, New Year knew me. Make your resolutions. Drop
them in the comments below. What do you want to
see to improve in your life? As we close out? Here?
Happy holograms? Here? Which is the two hundred and fifty

(02:56):
seventh overall episode of South Park as it first aired
on December the t twenty fourteen. Again, we will drop
this on January first, twenty twenty five. You mean, that's
kind of weird to say twenty twenty five. We're now
like a quarter of a way through the century, right right.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
And like I'm still gonna write twenty twenty four on
things for like the next month. It'll be one slash
whatever day And like, wait, no, you know, because I've
been doing it since grade school? Why stop now?

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Why stop? Now? Why would you ever break that? That
break that habit? Well, the habit is going to be
tried to be broken or brought back here in this episode, Joe,
and that's to get back in front of the TV,
get back with the family for the holidays, as happy hologram.
As I mentioned the tenth and final episode of season eighteen,
two hundred and fifty seventh overall episode, which makes this
two hundred and sixty s MB number two hundred and

(03:51):
sixty ARS two hundred and sixtieth review. So Cartman Brah
is trending as the country prepares to watch the biggest
Holidays spectacular ever. Right, So, this episode starts out with
Kyle narrating what has been happening recently trends commentators and
now his family is scattered and how the living room

(04:12):
is dying, so he starts a new tread hashtag save
the living Room. Then Bill Cosby comes in to see
Kyle and he plans to use this trend on a
big holiday special airing this weekend. Kyle grease, but as
soon as he closes the door, Bill Cosby is revealed
to be a hologram. So, like, I thought this was
funny initially in the first scene because it was like,

(04:36):
you know, a trending thing where people were like doing
these hashtags save the whales, save the dolphins, save the
living room, right, save this person, save that person's career,
Save this show, save this whatever, help this country, save
this culture. I don't know, you know what I mean.
That's when it kind of was starting to take off.
So I thought this was a synerical that South Park

(04:58):
was right on end. They were like hashtags save the
living room. There are more important things we could be
fighting about. But you know what, say the living room, Joe,
it totally needs saving. I would agree holdheartedly. So all right,
let's jump into some clips here on another edition of
SMB a South Park Review.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
It's the holiday season, but the good times are ending
because what matters most isn't what's good, it's what's trending.
This younger generation, with their eyes and ears glued, what's
trending to them as trenders who trend on YouTube?

Speaker 4 (05:34):
How's it going? Rest?

Speaker 5 (05:34):
Is this gott.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
How they got out of this guy? Yeah, it's already starting.
It's already annoying.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
Comments on commentators. It's all changing so fast. Playing Xbox
with your brothers just a thing of the past. Now
with mom on her iPad and dad trending or trying
all the family is scattered and the living room's dying
because it wasn't the outdoors or church or even trips
to go ski. What brought families together most was a

(06:07):
good old TV. Now we watch things by ourselves and
just tweet what we saw, and if you try to complain,
you get called a whampie.

Speaker 4 (06:16):
I'm not a crampas, but now let.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
Me tweet this.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
The more connected we get, the more alone we become.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
If you want change like I do and feel the
same gloom, then please follow this trend hashtag save the
living room.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
Bro.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Bro, if that was your diatribe that you put on
social media, I'm sorry. Now I don't Who reads all that?

Speaker 2 (06:48):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Who reads all that?

Speaker 5 (06:52):
What do you think?

Speaker 4 (06:55):
It's kind of death? Really?

Speaker 3 (06:57):
I mean having an all rammaged death. You know, I
was really going for gay. That was more going for wholesome.
Well gay whosome, but it's gotta be perfect. We're trending well,
but we need to attract more followers and what good
old family values?

Speaker 4 (07:10):
Kyle Bill Cosby is here to see here? Bill Cosby, Yes,
is here to see me? Yes up?

Speaker 1 (07:24):
Darn Harry, are you knew our Bill and arm Bill
and together. We are Bill. I love the bills. The
bills are nice. Get it the bill, Bill like Buffalo. Okay, boy,
all right, So, as I mentioned, Bill Cosby comes in

(07:44):
to see Kyle Lancy uses his trend on a big
holiday special airing that weekend. Kyle grees, but as soon
as he closed the door, it's gonna hear fil that
Bill Cosby is in fact a Halla grant. Hello, hello, son,
You're safe.

Speaker 6 (07:59):
The living room has dag is getting a lot of attention,
and we think it's great. I'm just a small part
of a big epic holiday special which is gonna air
this weekend. It's a shame how families don't gather in
the living room like they used to, and we think
a big holidays special, it's just a day America deeds there.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
Well.

Speaker 6 (08:20):
The producers of the show, so how much your idea
is trending and thought we should get your hashtag on.

Speaker 5 (08:25):
Board with ours.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
I'd love to great.

Speaker 6 (08:28):
I'll go right now and tell them you're on board.
We gotta do this quickly, Okay, no problem.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
As I mentioned, now, Bill Cosby, he's gonna walk out
the door and then as soon as Kyle leaves, it
revealed to be a hologram.

Speaker 5 (08:40):
Ho today's special is gonna bring families.

Speaker 6 (08:42):
Together again, have your holiday. As he glitches out there, Marsh,
forgive me if I say your story sounds a little
far fetched. You're saying that these people who want you
killed are entertainment producers.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
That's a little little teaser there on what's the next
scene about here? Joe, So, Randy and Shearon are talking
there with damn Flying copp there Harrison Yates about copying
other people, and he reveals to the whole police station
that he is Lord. This, of course makes Adam burst
into the room, telling the Yates that they arrested the

(09:21):
Michael Jackson hologram who was snooping around the Jefferson's estate.
The cops have a hard time believing that the hologram
was a black guy, so they're, you know, rehashing from
that episode from season sixteen, as they rehashed more and
more episode. No, I'm sorry, not that episode, but you

(09:41):
know what I mean, Billy May's here that one I
see Dad celebrities. So that's what's going on in the
police station. So let's kick it back over to dark.

Speaker 6 (09:53):
Yes, they made a copy of me, and they don't
want me around anymore. They're about to do something big
and they need famous artists to be he controlled for it.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
Who's the famous artist?

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Me?

Speaker 6 (10:03):
Oh right, I forgot to tell you that part. I'm
actually Lord your lord.

Speaker 4 (10:08):
The nineteen year old female pop star. It's true, that's him.

Speaker 5 (10:11):
You mean the girl who just showed her asshole on
Jimmy Fallon.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
Thing.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
Okay, this part, this part, I forgot it didn't Yeah,
I just came up and I remembered it right away.
This guy says the most ridiculous thing, but it's his.

Speaker 5 (10:30):
I jacked off to.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
Is you.

Speaker 6 (10:33):
Look, I don't know what they're up to, but these
people have something much darker.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
P O white what?

Speaker 1 (10:41):
Oh your lord? Yeah? The thing I jacked up to?
That was it?

Speaker 2 (10:48):
Yah yah.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
Back now at the neighborhood, Stan is trying to find
his dad, who was supposed to take him to the
board game store, when Kyle then tells him that stand
that the network has picked up his hashtag and that
he is trending. So they start to turn the TV
on and they've come across a commercial and the commercial
is titled the quote Washington Redskins Go Fuck Yourself Holiday

(11:15):
Special But everythingthing seems fine until they see the special
features and one of them is Cartman Brass Live commentary.
Kyle is angry about Cartman, who is involved with the special.
The special South of Washington Redskins Go Fuck Yourself will
feature various celebrities, hologram of deceased celebrities, and lp commentary

(11:36):
by you Guessed It Cartman. The special and title are
revealed to be the brainchild of Randy's ex producer and Cartman,
whom the producer employs for his youthful perspective as a
way to connect with the younger generation. The producer staff, however, feel,
as you know, they kind of may be given too
much power to Cartman, whose popularity is growing at a

(11:57):
accelerated rate. And it's a result now in his commentary
window not only appearing on computers and other devices, but
in the air in living room's corridors throughout the episode.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
So well, and then it happened at the end of
the last episode two, hadn't it right?

Speaker 1 (12:12):
When they when he was in the car exactly with
that guy? And then when Cartman was commentating on his
friends outside, here's my friends standing so stupid? He he
agrees that anything has his and.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
Then Kyle's like he's he's commentating real light or whatever
he said.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
Yeah. So, upon seeing a TV commercial for the special,
Kyle is angered that his idea has been turned into
a social media project, while his best friend Stan Marsh
is upset because he thinks his father Randy is performing
once again as Lord.

Speaker 6 (12:43):
Planned to take a Paris. Sure, we've got a problem.
What is it, Adams? We've arrested a black man who
was snooping around the old Jeffer Fines state. Did you
choke him yes? Did you shoot him?

Speaker 2 (12:55):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (12:56):
So what's the problem. Hey, appears to be just a hologram, Sir.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
No, didn't it. You don't understand.

Speaker 7 (13:02):
We have to stop them.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
Oh my god. If he's a hologram, how do they
hold his arms in his hands?

Speaker 2 (13:11):
Well, I mean Bill Cosby wiped us off the TV earlier.
You're right, there are there are some definite metaphysical properties
to these holograms.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
Yeah. I think we might have discussed this before. How
like the hands can be like used or something for
whatever reason. That's right, I remember because Michael Jackson then Tupac.
I guess maybe his penis.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
Was a carrying it. He was carrying a gun.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
I thought he was carrying a gun, and maybe he
was also carrying a real gun in his pants. Whoa,
that's how he gave it to share it? All right, Sharon,
I'll see you later. Are you sure that hologram is back? Stupid?

Speaker 2 (13:52):
All right?

Speaker 3 (13:52):
So here's trying to find my dad. He's supposed to
take me to the board game store.

Speaker 4 (13:55):
They picked up my ass text in I'm trending. We're
just making up Coliny Special. They had me on to.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
Video for commercial they're about to air Awesome and they wanted.

Speaker 4 (14:05):
To promote it. That's a little strange, isn't it.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
No, it's great. It's just what this country needs right now.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
All right.

Speaker 6 (14:11):
So Kyle from the producers of Women of Rock Live
and the Rockefeller Tree Lighting Ceremony, it's the holiday television
event of the season, with appearances by Al Pacino, Iggy Azellia,
J J. Watt, Miley Cyrus, you too, Angelina, Joe Lee,
Bill Taylor Swift, a hologram of Elvis Presley Cobain's did

(14:33):
you catch some of those things?

Speaker 2 (14:35):
Ca?

Speaker 1 (14:36):
Okay, so we gotta we gotta go back.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
What Williams one is?

Speaker 1 (14:42):
With appearances by Okay, so we got appearances by al Pacino,
al Pacino, Iggyazela where the snowman is made out of
her bum. Yes.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
J J.

Speaker 5 (14:54):
Watt, J J.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
Watt, Miley, Miley Cyrus, Yeah yeah. Writing a wrecking ball
ornament and doing the I forget how you pronounce it,
like the agra whatever with the tongue sticking out or
something like that. I had to look I had to
look it up one day because I saw somebody do

(15:15):
it at the con and I was like, what are
these anime girls doing?

Speaker 2 (15:19):
Hi?

Speaker 1 (15:20):
You too, Angelina, Angelina Joli. This is great. She scratches
her thing, because that's where the life still are.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
We've been here for generations.

Speaker 1 (15:30):
Generations now never just dooed. We made it. Hope we
made it.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
Made it, we made it. Hope we made it.

Speaker 5 (15:40):
Kenny Kelly, Bill Cosby and Taylor Swift.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
Oh he's trying to roofy here.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
This is bad. Bill Cosby trying to give Taylor Swift
a drink like baby it's cold outside song or something
like that.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
And Family then Family Guy and Hannibal Burrs for trying
to warn us for so long.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 5 (16:09):
A hologram of Elvis Presley K.

Speaker 6 (16:11):
Cobain's hologram looking.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
Like yeah, and then the hologram of Robin Williams. That's it.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
We've only been dead for a couple of months. By that,
I know, Tom.

Speaker 8 (16:25):
Hanks Lord consulting Mistletoe.

Speaker 5 (16:36):
First Lady Michelle Obama and Michael Jackson.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
That was pretty graphic for make Machilla Obama lick the
candy cane like that. Oh and here's Michael Jackson as Peter.

Speaker 5 (16:48):
Pan's hologram as Peter Pat I'm blind.

Speaker 6 (16:53):
And featuring live commentary the entire show by Cartman Brock.

Speaker 4 (16:58):
Did you check out any guy?

Speaker 5 (16:59):
I think he did?

Speaker 2 (17:00):
You do?

Speaker 9 (17:01):
There's something for every generation to bring families together.

Speaker 3 (17:12):
Please tune in and help get America's families back in
the living room.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
He said to de Bag, I think I gotta put
that on my board of just cartmon just say.

Speaker 6 (17:29):
He said, all live, and it's all magical. It's the
Washington Redskins cop Yourself Holiday Special.

Speaker 4 (17:37):
Yeah we're tugging.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
Yeah, we're tagging. I got cartmen ready to go. Kyle,
that son of a.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
Bitch, that's self promoting, asshole. Why would he do this?
Because my dad's an idiot, not your dad.

Speaker 4 (17:55):
Carmon, what your dad got to do with this? Nothing? Nothing? Hey,
I's a gone bright.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
It kind man.

Speaker 7 (18:03):
And it looks like we're in the producers obviously in
Los Angeles. Now, so far the holiday Specialist trying, but
it appears that the Michael heavily tweeted advice.

Speaker 6 (18:13):
And we still have no idea where the damn autogram
is not yet, but Tufak is close to hunting them down.

Speaker 7 (18:19):
Look at that guy, he's like forty, but he's got
a jetin bieber hair.

Speaker 5 (18:21):
Guy. We've got one shot at this people.

Speaker 6 (18:24):
This has to be the holiday special to end all
holiday specials.

Speaker 5 (18:27):
Sir.

Speaker 6 (18:28):
I get that you brought this YouTube commentator in because
he's popular with the younger kids, but now he's trying
to tell us what the show should be called.

Speaker 5 (18:34):
He's got his finger on the pulse of young America.

Speaker 2 (18:37):
Sir.

Speaker 6 (18:37):
I'm pretty sure that Washington Redskins Go Yourself Holiday Special
is not a good name.

Speaker 4 (18:43):
Now it's not good, Sir.

Speaker 5 (18:47):
I think you're giving this kid a little too much power.

Speaker 4 (18:49):
I can hear you do.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
No trying to do here.

Speaker 6 (18:53):
We're trying to finally create entertainment that reaches the younger
generation that unites the young with the old means being
hit being Now.

Speaker 4 (19:02):
These guys are such blunk catchers.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
I'm not gonna you didn't know what that means.

Speaker 1 (19:12):
I was gonna say, I'm not gonna lie. But back
in the day I did go ahead, and I looked
it up right, and it's.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
Uh so, it's right up there with blueberry waffles.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
Okay, so Urban Dictionary says it, the receiver of the
warm brownie is a blumpkin manajat trow, which eliminates the
need for a shitter. Hey, honey, your friend Eric would
make a great bump blumpkin catcher. It eliminates the need

(19:48):
for a toilet when receiving a blumpkin that's shouty over
there is a blumkin catcher. Basically, it means that that
person is a piece of shit kind of thing, or
they they take ship in, so they are the receiver
of ship So that's a blunken catcher.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
The blunkin when you go off in the back end
and then that person ships out.

Speaker 1 (20:18):
Yeah, it means you receive oral sex from a male
or female while taking a crap taking shit.

Speaker 2 (20:23):
Okay, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
So so basically, if you're a blumpkin.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
You're you're catching that, You're catching toilet.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
You're the toilet of the blumpkin catcher. That's what I'm saying.
You're taking the in your mouth.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
Vince. You are Vince thick Man's favorite part of the.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
Boy. Wow, I can't believe you said that, Joe WHOA. Okay,
so I'm just saying, we don't want to get ourselves
in trouble.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
Here sixty seven pages worth of allegedly allegedly.

Speaker 1 (21:00):
Sixty seven pages. I'm just saying, you know, but you know,
Cartman would argue something different, right, He'd be like, what's it?

Speaker 2 (21:07):
What's it?

Speaker 4 (21:08):
Crept on your desk?

Speaker 1 (21:09):
Deuga, you know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (21:12):
So some vinced thick Man would be such good shit.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
Okay, back to the episode. You even know what that means.

Speaker 5 (21:21):
This kid is our way to connect with.

Speaker 6 (21:23):
The youth of America, and I'm gonna give him all
the power he needs.

Speaker 4 (21:27):
Great, Great, Great Greg Gred.

Speaker 6 (21:30):
What about this service art, Sienna. He's not a native American,
damn it, that's obvious.

Speaker 1 (21:36):
I'll put so he was saying, great great Gray Greg,
Greg Grey just saying great really fast in a weird way. Great, great,
great Grey they're still looking to find uh, you know,
Michael Jackson, and they're trying to figure out if Michael
Jackson hologround is black or white, because if he's black,

(21:56):
they can get him. If he's white, they have to
leave him alone. I guess that's the rules of South
Park and Co.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
And it is. But I mean, if Michael proved anything
in the Black or White video, it's stud he's a
shape shifter.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
Well, I would also say if Cartman proved anything in
uh two Days Before the Day, I'm sorry, the episode
where he plays Tom Cruise movie World War Zimmerman.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
Oh yes, yes, yeah, why black?

Speaker 1 (22:26):
Why is all right? Like that's how's going with.

Speaker 2 (22:31):
Live Together?

Speaker 1 (22:33):
Everybody say O, White people say whoa whoa? Black people
say hey, hey, Black people say white people say whoa whoa?
Black people say hey, that's really necessary. Okay, anyway, put it.

Speaker 6 (22:47):
In the report he's Mayla Brown. That isn't even close.
We have to be able to prove that hologram is
a light skinned black guy. Mister Jackson, it's me Lord
who Lord?

Speaker 2 (22:58):
So? Uh?

Speaker 1 (23:00):
Randy and the Jackson Hologram learn about the television special
and its intent and agree to work together to stop
it when Tupaksha Core Holograms, sent by the Cintec Hologram
company comes to capture the Jackson hologram and appears at
the police station itself. The Marsh's and the Jackson hologram
flee to the Marshall home. Randy Lynn learns that Stan
and Kyle have been taken hostage by his ex producer

(23:23):
and is confronted by the Shakoor hologram, who appears in
his home. Moving forward, here's please, do you know what's
going on here? What are the producers trying to do?

Speaker 5 (23:35):
They're going to make a big holiday special.

Speaker 8 (23:37):
They've got holograms and YouTube commentators and live tweeting.

Speaker 5 (23:40):
And it's ignorant. It's going to be the most ignorant
holiday special ever, a holiday special. Oh my god, it's
directed it children. We have to stop him.

Speaker 6 (23:49):
How about we say he's mixed race. As long as
Adams only choked the black half. I think it's okay.

Speaker 5 (23:54):
I should have known.

Speaker 6 (23:56):
Pastor's always talked about it. Today with social media and
entertainment would be fused as one.

Speaker 5 (24:00):
I didn't know they meant a Christmas special?

Speaker 1 (24:03):
Can you help me stop them?

Speaker 5 (24:04):
Yes, we have to reach the children, it's our only hope.
Then we'll do it together. I love children just as
much as you do. Allegedly, that was a civil suit
and there was no evidence, ignorant boom.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
That wasn't even my drop. That was from the episode.
Ladies and gentlemen, let's take it back and we'll actually
show the clips.

Speaker 5 (24:25):
Then we'll do it together. I love children just as
much as you do. Allegedly, that was a civil suit
and there was no evidence.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
Ignorant, ignorant, They're just I was like, what h classic
moment in South Park? Okay, next scene here?

Speaker 4 (24:44):
You are no longer to watch that stupid little YouTube
plugging asshole? Do you understand you can't kids?

Speaker 3 (24:49):
Following these YouTube commentators is bad enough, but I will
not have them invading my living room.

Speaker 10 (24:53):
Oh people are so funny. They really just don't dare
and they say so beautiful.

Speaker 4 (25:00):
We are not old people. You guys are just into lame,
vulgar crap and it needs to be sucked. Chancel, Grandpa,
you right, crap here the pegs we're not paying rapa Yeah,
damn kids.

Speaker 6 (25:13):
Okay, Okay, so we're agreeing the hologram is black. So
the question is if he's black, then how come we
couldn't choke him.

Speaker 1 (25:25):
Because he's a hologram?

Speaker 2 (25:28):
Dane killed him. We couldn't choke him.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
So stupid. All right, here's what I mentioned about Tupac's
chakor from the Sintech company looking for the Michael Jackson hologram.

Speaker 5 (25:44):
Can I help you? Excuse me? Can I help you?

Speaker 1 (25:50):
Tupac, Sir?

Speaker 5 (25:54):
A black guy walked into the police station.

Speaker 1 (25:56):
Yeah, ah, I'm only laughing at how stupid Officer Yates
is and the rest of these people are. I'm not
laughing at what he perceives is a joke, but that's
what he thinks the joke is. Uh oh, then go ahead, yeah,
go ahead, Hey, get in here, get in here, go ahead.
Story to start over, start over, And all he's saying

(26:20):
is a black guy walked into a police station.

Speaker 5 (26:22):
But a black guy walked into the police station. Yeah wait, Mitchell,
listen to this one.

Speaker 1 (26:26):
Start over. What's the setup.

Speaker 5 (26:28):
There's this black guy walked into the police station. Oh yeah,
I think I've heard him.

Speaker 1 (26:32):
But go ahead, no, really, a black.

Speaker 5 (26:34):
Guy walked in Yeah yeah, yeah, we said who free, No, no,
a black guy literally walked into the police station.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
Oh, it's a new one buck shit.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
Look out.

Speaker 1 (26:49):
No black guy literally walked into the police station. That's
what I'm saying. It was Tupac Shakur's hologram.

Speaker 2 (26:54):
There.

Speaker 5 (26:55):
It's a black guy.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
Chalk him, shoot him, shoot him, and then talk him.
Of course they shoot him. They can't choke him. He's
a holograd. Run until they escape out the window as
they're being shot at. In two Fox being shot at.
Now Stan and Kyle.

Speaker 7 (27:14):
Carvin open the store right now, Look at cow Browns.
He's not pissed off. I know, what the hell are
you doing? What does it look like I'm doing. I'm trending. Calm,
I'm trending more than ever thought possible.

Speaker 4 (27:26):
Come out here and talk to me, face to face.

Speaker 5 (27:28):
Open the door.

Speaker 7 (27:29):
How do you even know I'm here in my room
because you just said here in my room. Very impressive, cam.
But the holiday especially is beginning soon. I'm afraid I
can't let there be any distractions. You will find if
my door has been sealed with a three quarter inch
plywood and polymer metal alloy secured with drywall screws.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
Hartman, Please, yes, you can see it's clearly not It's
just funny. Like he's very I don't know. He definitely
could tell a lie, that's for sure. We know that
for a fact. Three quarter inch Hollmer screws. He's just
like dropping like hardware knowledge on these people.

Speaker 5 (28:06):
To stop this show.

Speaker 4 (28:07):
Lord is gonna do something horrible and corrupt little girls everywhere.
Why did that matter? Because Lord is my dad?

Speaker 2 (28:12):
All right? Oh?

Speaker 5 (28:16):
Lord is my dad?

Speaker 2 (28:18):
Right?

Speaker 4 (28:19):
What are you talking about?

Speaker 1 (28:20):
Stan?

Speaker 7 (28:21):
He does it all with computers and processors. He got
discovered on the internet. He's like the beauty pie of music.
Then he played live last week, rubbed his client and
started trending more than ever. I thought he'd learned his lesson,
But it's like he doesn't care, doesn't care. Sorry, guys,
I gotta go. The world needs Cartman Brath.

Speaker 1 (28:40):
The word needs Cara. I mean, I don't know about that,
but Cartman definitely thinks. So all right, Kyle continues his speech.
Here will listen in.

Speaker 4 (28:49):
Why didn't you tell me? Stan? I would have helped.

Speaker 3 (28:52):
It just all seemed so stupid. I'll call the producers
of the show. They'll help you find your dad.

Speaker 6 (29:00):
See if it started, we don't really use this thing anymore.
It hasn't started yet. All right, Sharon, get on your
computer upstairs. Mister Jackson, you can take the one in
my son's room. We've got to tell people the truth.

Speaker 4 (29:10):
Randy, what about Shelley?

Speaker 5 (29:13):
Oh my god, Shelley. Who's Shelley? That's ignorant?

Speaker 1 (29:16):
My daughter.

Speaker 5 (29:21):
Immediately, Oh'm Shelley's Sherry.

Speaker 6 (29:29):
She has no idea that I'm Lord. I can't let
her find out from the internet. I have to tell
her the truth before we all tell the world.

Speaker 4 (29:38):
How are you going to tell her that the singer
she's idolized has been you?

Speaker 6 (29:43):
I guess one step at a time, Shelley, I'm Lord.
All the music you've really been into has been me.
Nobody in the family knew except for your mother and
your brother and your grandpa. But Michael Jackson's hologram is here,
and we're going to set the orstra. Okay, I love you, d.

Speaker 2 (30:06):
So just quick and dismissed.

Speaker 1 (30:10):
Oh man, right. He didn't even come in and try
to like be soft about it, and he just straight
up ripped it off like a band aid. I'm Lord,
everything you've be listening to is me. I know you
love me. Yeah, So we're gonna go right now. We're gonna.
I'm here with Michael Jackons Holgrind. We're just at that
record train. Okay, bye bye, love you, Shelly.

Speaker 2 (30:29):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
He's really kind of tortured Shelley if you think about it,
which is why she hates him, right, like, not only.

Speaker 2 (30:37):
Is she just a hormonal thirteen year old.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
And look even if we go back and we think
about the wow wow as wicky wack wick wow wow
wow ass episode, like all the way back then having
to watch Eric Cartman putting that on someone in general,
that's not cool, and they put that on Shelley, okay,
and then we take it up another notch and Shelley
her boyfriend gets killed. It's by Spider Man because he

(31:04):
wasn't wearing a life vest because of all the water whatever.
And then now here and then it's going to continue
on even more. I hate that's a oh. In the
Blockbuster episode, go back to being crazy. Yeah, just burning
down the He's put it through a lot, He's put
it through, burning down the Blockbusterer, Go back to being crazy,

(31:28):

Speaker 4 (31:29):
It was hard Randy, it started.

Speaker 6 (31:35):
And now Labisco and Donnie Madison present the Washington Redskins.

Speaker 5 (31:40):

as Kirk Obain is singing, this is when people first
started doing like tweets below the artists while they're on specials.
So we're we're you know, we're reading off the tweets,
even though these aren't like tweets. This is more like
a duck maybe these are more like quacks or something
like that. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (33:12):
Me while Copain is loading a shotgun.

Speaker 1 (33:17):
Never heard of him? What's a Kurt Cobain? Hashtag I

some click. Uh.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
No, we deceived you. We deceived you audience. He didn't
kill himself. He just shits a flag out the gun. No,

producers here.

Speaker 4 (34:39):

about his dad.

Speaker 5 (34:43):

wouldn't know what I know now.

Speaker 7 (34:48):

I want to try and stop him from making an
ass of himself again.

Speaker 1 (34:53):
It's me.

Speaker 6 (34:54):
I've got something you might be interested in. I don't
think so, you, son of a bitch. I've got your

Speaker 1 (35:13):
That's got my son up. Two PC now shows up
while the cops show up here and that's all pointed
at his house.

Speaker 6 (35:21):
All right, listen out where the black people are so
we can't choke them or shoot them.

Speaker 5 (35:28):
So stand by until we figure.

Speaker 1 (35:29):
Out what the hell to do. Sir, you better see this.

Speaker 6 (35:32):
There's something new trending hashtag cops can't go around choking
black people.

Speaker 1 (35:36):
We know we can't, but we're trying to. Jesus tell
them we're working on it.

Speaker 6 (35:40):
No, sir, I think they mean we shouldn't like we're
racist or something. What We're not racist, sir. We've got confirmation.
There's two black guys in the upstairs of the house.
Go ahead, two black guys. One of them is threatening
the other one. Yeah, hang on, Midge. Two black guys
in the upstairs in the house. One of them is
threatening the other one. Okay, go ahead and now together

(36:02):
at last, Iggy is yeah.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
And el miss.

Speaker 11 (36:09):
This now it feels like the holidays.

Speaker 5 (36:23):
It's incredible.

Speaker 1 (36:24):
I've never seen trending like this week. Bro so week.

Speaker 2 (36:30):
I just love the heat watching this right now, right
exactly so.

Speaker 1 (36:35):
He saw that Randy learned that Stand and Kyle were
taken hostage by his ex producer and they threatened to
kill the kids and uh. Also, he was confronted by
the Shakoor hologram which appears in his home. While this
is going on back with the producer. Kyle then asks
the producer, Hey, like, why are you doing this? And
the producer explains that when he became a grandfather five

(36:57):
years ago, he intended to show his grandson everything about
the entertainment industry. Then one day, when he asked his
grandson who his favorite celebrity was, his grandson said it
was an online video commentator named Hughtie Pie. Bewildered that
his grandson worshiped an insignificant internet personality from Sweden and
was unimpressed with any of the artists to whom he

(37:18):
had introduced him to. The producer says that with the
television special, he will assimilate the younger generation's culture into
his own and foster an appreciation for real entertainment. Stan
is astonished as the producer is quote, such a grandpa.
H That being the joke throughout the last two episodes,
you are such a grandpa. All right, let's jump back

(37:39):
in here into the episode. Here, more clips, more washing
along on this episode of that.

Speaker 6 (37:43):
Well, we're barely trending at all, but hashtag I hate
Cartman Bruhs trending off the charts. He's right, I hate
Cartman brus trending at ninety six percent of climbing.

Speaker 5 (37:54):
That's impossible.

Speaker 4 (37:57):
So now, how can you be willing to kill people
for a holiday. What's wrong with you?

Speaker 6 (38:02):
It was five years ago that I became a grandpa.
At first it was wonderful. I wanted to show my
grandson everything, teach him all about the entertainment business. One day,
I asked him, who's your favorite celebrity.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
You know what he said to me? He said beautiful.

Speaker 6 (38:25):
I had no idea who he was talking about, so
I looked it up and here was this insignificant little
game blogger from Sweden who my grandson thought was a god.

Speaker 5 (38:36):
No matter who else I tried to impress him with,
he would just say, Nah.

Speaker 6 (38:41):
To men, what the hell is wrong with these kids today?
With this special, we will assimilate this younger generation's culture
into ours, make them appreciate real entertainment.

Speaker 4 (38:53):
Dammit, Stand now, dude, you're such a grandpa.

Speaker 5 (38:58):
I'm not a.

Speaker 1 (39:04):
I am not a gramba oh boy. All right. So, now,
as this is going on, as the Washington Redskins Special
is going to continue, the Chakur Hologram and the Jackson
Hologram decide to team up against the producer. This is
when Cartman's window appears before the producer. He tries to
have him shut down, but Cartman is trending so much,
and he's grown so powerful that he has reached quote

(39:26):
transcendants or transcendence. I'm sorry, just like Johnny Dett but cute.
As Cartman continues to appear on all screens around the world,
he states that he is now transgender and therefore he
must be given his own bathroom, which was his motivation
for being involved in this whole plan.

Speaker 2 (39:43):
Apparently it all goes back.

Speaker 1 (39:46):
To the bathroom yeah to him being transgender. So the
Kourn Jackson holograms appear at the restaurant where the producer
is hiding with the hostages a Jackson. As Jackson fatally
shoots the producer, Kyle realizes that everyone on the planet
can see everyone else on their computers, so he speaks
out to his brother Ike, committing and apologizing for being
a grandpa. He accepts that he will Ike will develop

(40:07):
his own generational interest and admits that he will merely
that he was merely sore that Ike was a fan
of Cartman. In particular, he says that he just wants
to be a family again. Ike and his friends resolved
to get the public to believe again and create a
new trend with the hashtag we believe in you, which
Kyle breaking the fourth wall urges the home audience of
being us to spread it and respondse Pautie Pie's a

(40:29):
window appears, and his commentary is so powerful that Cartman's
window is eliminated. So let's jump into some more clips.

Speaker 2 (40:38):
Here.

Speaker 1 (40:38):
Here's the Washington Redskins Go f yourself Holiday Special?

Speaker 6 (40:47):
Well, I guess it's time to leave, but it's snowing
out there, and I need to get home.

Speaker 5 (40:52):
But it's snowing out there. I really should go. What's
the hurry?

Speaker 2 (40:56):
Say?

Speaker 1 (40:57):
What's in this drink?

Speaker 5 (40:59):
Forever Holidays? This is the hoddest holiday special I've ever seen?

Speaker 1 (41:04):
What's in this drink?

Speaker 7 (41:05):
That is j E?

Speaker 1 (41:10):
Why are we in somebody's living room?

Speaker 10 (41:11):
Now?

Speaker 1 (41:11):
Hashtag I hate Cartman Bro?

Speaker 4 (41:14):
Maybe we should turn it off?

Speaker 2 (41:16):
Well? Were we? Now?

Speaker 5 (41:17):
Guys? They think pretty stupid?

Speaker 2 (41:19):
What the.

Speaker 1 (41:21):
Cartman bro just showed up outside the TV? Hashtag I
hate Cartman Bro? This damn TV?

Speaker 5 (41:26):
What is that window doing outside? The Holiday special?

Speaker 4 (41:29):
Call customer service?

Speaker 1 (41:31):
Oh? Got the reservis you know? How can I help you?
The customer service? How can I help you get We've
got a commentary window in our living room? How do
I get rid of that. Oh yes, yes, yes, yes,
many people are calling about this.

Speaker 5 (41:45):
We have no idea what's going on? Questions in a
timely manner, and a timely manner.

Speaker 1 (41:54):
Now Cartman Brouugh appears at the call center.

Speaker 7 (41:56):
It looks like we've reached cut to my sabbath brus.
Now we can truly be everywhere.

Speaker 1 (42:00):
This isn't part of the holiday special? What are they
doing now? We're in a control room? Lame hashtag I
hate Carmen rauh.

Speaker 2 (42:08):
Like.

Speaker 1 (42:09):
I would say this is pretty accurate. I mean, they
know what a control room looks like, but this is
pretty accurate to a control room, especially because I see
them all the time at work, ending more than we
ever thought possible.

Speaker 4 (42:19):
Yes, with every passing second I become more powerful.

Speaker 1 (42:24):
These cops here are still not laughing about the joke
was never a joke, Okay, right, okay, okay, stupid.

Speaker 8 (42:34):
So then the first black guy said to the second
black guy, don't shoot me.

Speaker 1 (42:40):
I'm on your side.

Speaker 8 (42:42):
Okay, okay, okay, okay, go ahead. And then that that
the tattooed black guy says to him.

Speaker 1 (42:51):
Stupid, I ain't gonna kill you man.

Speaker 5 (42:54):
You're the king of pop let's go cap that whitey producer.

Speaker 11 (42:59):
Guess I love it is like what.

Speaker 2 (43:05):
They get to a point, like wait, what they're getting
to a white bed?

Speaker 7 (43:09):
Happy holiday, debbieone, enjoy the rest of your Carmen Brad,
damn it, you're ruining the show.

Speaker 5 (43:15):
Of course, I am. This isn't about you.

Speaker 4 (43:18):
This is about Cartman Brown. Brad, I am so confused.

Speaker 1 (43:21):
Shut him down.

Speaker 7 (43:23):
We count I am trending so much that soon I
will reach transcendent like Johnny Depp.

Speaker 5 (43:30):
But kid, I'm confused. What is holiday special and what
isn't it's.

Speaker 7 (43:33):
Dog Cartman Brown? Now, I am trending into something more
than human. I am becoming transgender. Now they will have
to give me my own bathroom.

Speaker 9 (43:44):
This is not what I heard.

Speaker 1 (43:47):
Now they were happening to get me in my own
bath as he mentioned, he's continued. The president executive producer
is still trying to shut this down here too far.
I control talent. Dammit, there you Tupacsha Corn.

Speaker 5 (44:00):
Now, this is crazy and everyone is watching everything.

Speaker 4 (44:05):
Everyone is watching everything.

Speaker 3 (44:09):

I thought you.

Speaker 1 (44:37):
Should just because Michael Taxi while Kyle's giving this very
good motivational speech, heartfelt and then all Michael Jackson.

Speaker 2 (44:47):

Speaker 1 (44:49):

show him balancing like I gotta get out of here.

Speaker 4 (44:54):

you to watch him. I just I just want to
be your family again. Oh, I feel bad for the
little guy. There's nothing sadder than an old man crying.

Speaker 1 (45:07):
Maybe we should.

Speaker 10 (45:08):
Help, Yeah, okay, oh how can you help? It's the
holiday season. We just need to get everyone to believe again. Yeah,

Speaker 4 (46:46):
No, you can't do this.

Speaker 1 (46:47):
So now Pauty Pie takes over as I mentioned, and
he starts playing Call of Duty. Cartman still upset here
in the background, play some of the audio. Oh yeah,
this is more like a bros.

Speaker 4 (46:58):
God damn it. The hell do you think I like that?

Speaker 2 (47:01):
Right now?

Speaker 5 (47:01):
Okay, that little fat kid is getting annoying. Let's get
rid of him.

Speaker 1 (47:04):
So now Pewdy Pie gets rid of Cartman here.

Speaker 5 (47:08):
Yeah, oh yeah, way better, bro, this is time we
did it in Sweden. Boom d shot, boom d shot.

Speaker 1 (47:18):
All right, so let's talk about the ending here of
this episode. So Kyle says he's finally managed to get
the family to use the living room again for at
least an hour each night. Those stand is still confused
over all the events that have just concluded, and there
seems to be no lesson itself. Kyle suggests that perhaps
they're not going to understand it, and that is the lesson.

(47:39):
They have just witnessed the beginning of a new art form.
He further says, at least YouTube celebrities are authentic and
have not been marketed to the public by corporations. They
need to realize that this is a new generation of entertainment.
Paudy Pie's window then appears and he thinks South Park
for being on the show. So obviously there was something
meta in there. Right with Kyle saying that YouTube celebrities

(48:01):
are authentic and they have not been marketed to the
public by corporations, that is not correct. Now, in twenty
twenty four five, when some of those people become commercial ambassadors,
whether it's Gillette or T Mobile or a Chicken McDonald's
sandwich and stuff like that, I see a lot of
these online streamers and twitch influencers and stuff like that

(48:22):
getting commercials because of their big following on their own platform.
So let's go to hear the epilogue here with Kyle
and stan.

Speaker 2 (48:37):
Well.

Speaker 3 (48:38):
I finally got my family to use the living room
for an hour each night. I'm still really confused, dude,
I have no idea what that was about. And I
guess that's the point. I don't think we're gonna understand.
Maybe this is all the beginning of a new art form.
YouTube celebrities are only getting bigger, and what's great is
that these people are inventing themselves instead of being marketed
and shove down our throats. Yeah, no matter what we think,

(48:59):
it's just a passing tread. We need to realize that
the new generation of entertainment is here. And I think
that's great. Yeah, I think that's great too. All Right, bros,
it looks like we'll have to end it there. I
want to thank south Park for being in my show.
I hope you bros enjoyed watching NS always stay awesome.
That said pros show's over all right, Well, ladies and gentlemen,

(49:21):

and thank you for listening. Well, Ladies and gentlemen. This
man is a doctor of thugonomics, polyphonics, punkinomics, and Scubanomics.
This man is the twenty fifth anniversary South Park Red

(51:00):
Rocks Day one trivia Champion on this podcast. He is
affectionately known as a trivia.

Speaker 2 (51:11):
God.

Speaker 1 (51:13):
Joe Vernola Joe take it away with some trivia.

Speaker 2 (51:15):
This is the first Christmas special in ten seasons. The
last one was season's eight Woodland Critter Christmas, which is
the best Christmas special ever, and I don't mean south
Park Christmas. It is the best Christmas special ever. The

(51:40):
police making racist jokes, bullying and telling each other to
choke it and shoot people are referring to the shooting
of Michael Brown and the choking death of Eric Gardner,
which we're both very big in the news in twenty fourteen. Wow.
Kenny does not appear in this episode, and this finishes

(52:04):
another season in which Kenny does not die. According to
the south Park Live tweet, the staff had to debate
on how to make this episode, whether to make it
two episodes or as a two parter, leaving Pewdiepi, EA
and Activision kind of waiting in the wings for some

(52:27):
time because EA and Activision did actually provide footage for
the game ahead of release and everything along those.

Speaker 1 (52:37):
Lines, and ladies and gentlemen that it's your trivia, and
now it's time for a guy who I am not
the digital marketing pain guy. I do not bring the
pain in the digital marketing game. I don't solicit your
picks to get your click clicks. I'm a writer though
I produced stuff, I've directed stuff, and I am on screen,

(53:00):
so I am a talent there. But ladies and gentlemen,
I want to read you have some pop cutcher. So
in this episode, Miley Cyrus is seen swinging on an ornament.
As pointed out by Joe, that's a reference to her
popular song Wrecking Ball. Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga performed
together as a reference to their collaborative album Cheek to Cheek,

(53:21):
which was released three months prior to the episode's original airing.
The hologram of Kurt Cobain loads a shot kind of
briefly holds it up to his mouth, which refers to
how the real life Kurt Cobain was killed. Hold on,
I had sorry, I was bored. I had a guest there.
How the real life Kurt Cobain unlived himself. It's more facts, Okay, allegedly,

(53:44):
we don't know. So during Kurt Cobain's segment on The
Christmas Show, a live tweet from Dave underscore grole as
you mentioned, was pointed out, said I miss you Kurt
so much. Courtney did it This is a reference to
Cobain's former band member and founding member of The Food Fighters,
Dave Grohl, and the popular theory is Joe alluded to
that Cobain's wife, Courtney Love unlived him following Dave Girl's tweet.

(54:08):
A tweet from Seed Love's Whole reads Smashing Pumpkins were better.
I hate Cartman Brau. This is also referring to Courtney
Love and her band Whole. It's also a reference to
the band The Smashing Pumpkins, whose lead singer Billy Corgan
had been involved with Courtney Love before and after Coe
Baines passing a lot there, Michael Jackson dressed up as

(54:29):
Peter Pan as a reference to the televised musical production
Peter Pan Live, which aired one month prior to the
original airdate of that episode. This hologram plot, of course,
references the nineteen eighty four film The Terminator Tubac entering
the police station to kill Michael Jackson and causing the
police to shoot him, and references The Terminator airing Sorry
arriving at the LAPD station to take out Sarah Connor

(54:52):
leading to a massive shootout. The theme music when Tubac
appears in the scene parodies the main theme from the
film Cartman references Johnny Depp and the movie Transcendence. Cartman
eventually taking over the monitors and Times Square also parodies
the film itself. Pautie Pie, a YouTube celebrity, makes a

(55:12):
major interacting appearance in this episode. During the live tweet,
it was revealed that the idea of the episode came
as Trey Parker's step son loves watching Peutie Pie instead
of playing with him his you know, his father, sutz Father.
Peutypie was on vacation Japan when his scenes were filmed.
His comment, he comments that he was sick at the
moment and that all his lines were shouted on a

(55:32):
phone call with Trey Parker. Footage of Call of Duty
Advanced Warfare and Dragon Age Inquisition or seen in this episode.
Both games came out a month before the episode originally aired,
and as you mentioned, according to the live tweet, activision
at EA, the respective publishers of the game, we're excited
to work with South Park Studios and have their games
featured in the episode. Now, I find that a little

(55:53):
bit interesting. When they did a whole episode about EA
Sports get the fuck out of my building. Well, and
fuck you to Piz and Joves. It's very interesting.

Speaker 2 (56:05):
Imitation. Is this serious form of flattery?

Speaker 1 (56:08):
That's fair? Comedian actor Bill Cosby trying to trying to
take Taylor Swift's clothes in an unfashionable way during the
holiday special refers to the sexual allegations on Cosby which
occurred during the time around the making of this episode.
I think I can say sexual assault. Actually that's fine.
Jaylor Swift's outfit is based on Esther Williams appearance when
she performs baby It's Cold Outside with Ricardo Montabynte Beelin

(56:34):
montal in the film Neptune's Daughter. Continuing on a lot
of pop culture, the scene also parodies the controversy surrounding
this here song's lyrics, which has actually kind of been
taken off the air in the last couple of years,
as some feminists believed the lyrics encourage sexual harassment and
date assault. During the scene, a tweet from Joe Joe

(56:58):
Underscore Dough reads, it's what you mentioned ow Fat Albert Forever,
hashtag mushmouth, hashtag I hate cartman bra in reference to
the cartoon series Fat Albert, for which Cosby created, produced
and starred as the character James Mushmouth Mush. After she
asks him what's in the drink, he spells out Jewlo
in reference to the pudding in which he was the

(57:19):
ambassador for two decades. An announcer mentions it the special
sponsored by Domisco, Nabisco and Dolly Madison, both the real
life snack food companies, and Ron the man in the
leather jacket is based on Ron Perry, a music executive
and CEO of Columbia Records, and Ladies and Gentlemen. That
is your pop culture Joe ver Nola take it away

(57:40):
with some more storyline continuity.

Speaker 2 (57:43):
This episode references many plots and characters from all of
season eighteen and kind of ties it all in one
nice little package. The episode Go fund Yourself is of
course right for by the holiday specials name the Washington
Redskins Go Fuck Yours Holiday Special. Gluten Free Ebola is

(58:04):
referenced on the live Twitter feed of the special. One
of the user names is at gluten Kills. The Cissy
is brought up when Carbon mentors he is becoming transgender
and that they will have to give him his own bathroom.
This whole season, in fact, was the giant scheme for

(58:26):
him to get his own bathroom. Also on the live feed,
one of the user names is at six gender one.
The Magic Bush is referred to in the twitter feed
at full Bush, grow grounded Vindaloop. Steve from Customer Service
makes an appearance cock Magic on the live twitter feed.

(58:48):
One of the user names is cock Magic for life
and rehash as. This is a direct continuation of the
last one. Officer at this mentions a black man snooping
around the old Jefferson Escape. This, of course is the
reference to another season eight episode, The Jeffersons. Some more

(59:10):
of the Twitter handles also reference characters from the show.
At Dragon Underscore Chaser, the fictional video game heroin hero
at Hankey's nugget is mister Hankey. At shake Weight Fan
is the shake Weight from Kaream Fresh, I'm Flying Underscore

(59:32):
sham own Michael Jackson. Stan's mom is Sharon Marsh. At
Chee Stout is a reference to Major Bootage, Shelley's mom
is Sharon Marsh and honestly, I would argue that Che's
stout is is Gerald Bruffelowski. Okay, Shelley's mom is obviously

(59:54):
Sharon Marsh. Free Fan is more than one Randy Marsh
but it's from the kream Phrase episode, and Billy Jeans
is another reference to Michael Jackson and Jelina and jo
Lee appears in the trailer for the special where she

(01:00:15):
scratches her courage. As we already pointed to, this references
to season eleven Lyce capades, and when Randy reveals to
Shelley that he is actually Lord, he mentions that, but
no one in the family knows except your brother and
your brother.

Speaker 1 (01:00:38):
And Grandpa. Love you, Love you, ladies and gentlemen. That
is your continuity with Jover. No, all right, let's wrap
up this episode. Joe, tell me what you liked or
disliked about this episode.

Speaker 2 (01:00:57):
The live tweet, the quote unquote tweets during the special,
make this whole episode. It Just as I've said before,
this is probably the weakest of the season ending duologies

(01:01:18):
or trilogies that they had been doing quite a bit
of at this point, and.

Speaker 6 (01:01:24):
It just.

Speaker 2 (01:01:27):
STI a lot of it is still confusing. And then
like Stance says, Oh, there's nothing really resolved here.

Speaker 1 (01:01:34):
There's no resolution, right, And well, I mean and I
like that though too, like his message there, like sometimes
there is no resolution that is the moral of the
story though too right, like that, sometimes as we go
through life there is no lesson to be learned. Sometimes
that's that's just the way it is.

Speaker 2 (01:01:51):
And I understand that, but like, and I like my
works of fiction to have resolution.

Speaker 1 (01:01:57):
Well, I get it. But you know, obviously South Park
makes well. That's what makes those South Park storylines kind
of meta, right because they technically reset every week. So
sometimes there isn't a lesson, and there was none in
this episode at all. Really, I mean, the only lesson
maybe you could take away from it is don't let
somebody get enough power from a social media perspective in

(01:02:18):
which they can dictate to everybody on a global scale. Right,
that would be well, I guess if you do that,
you might end up winning the presidency of your country. Well,
ladies and gentlemen, that's gonna do it. For another edition
of SMB South Park for you, coming up next week.

(01:02:40):
It's Stunning and Brave what happens when Caitlin Jenner comes
to South Park. Everyone's excited except for Kyle Broth l Alesky.
He doesn't get what's going on. He doesn't understand what
makes her stunning and brave it's.

Speaker 6 (01:02:55):
All coming up next week on another Indigen SMB that's
South Part review. No no no, no, no no no
no no

Speaker 2 (01:03:18):
No no no no
