Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome back to another edition of s
m B.

by one until every episode is done. Saddle up, partner,
But I need you to do one thing for me.
I need you to put away all your distractions. I
need you to put away your fears, and I need

(00:41):
you to put it down, because we're going about to
put it down right now into Poundtown. No there's not
going to be a Poundtown, but we're putting it down
here on this week's edition of SMBA South Park Review,
as we review south Park Season twenty one, episode number two.
Buckle up, buckaroo for putting it down. Thanks for joining

(01:05):
us here live each and every week, whether it be
now or later on the podcast. We appreciate you downloading, sharing,
giving your feedback, giving us reviews. We would love to
read them for you. This has put it down. It's
the second episode of season twenty one and the two
hundred and seventy ninth overall episode of south Park, first

(01:28):
airing on September twentieth, two thousand and seventeen seventeen.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Now we're getting so close.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
We are we are because these these seasons just keeps shortening,
shortening down. I mean last year, well there was only
six episodes something like that. Five episode, Yeah, six episodes
for the last season.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
Closer, getting closer and closer to Bite My Shiny Metal Podcast.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Yeah, the brand new Futurama podcast coming to you in
the future, Bite my Shiny Metal Podcast.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Joe says he loves the animation and several deaths that
happened during this episode. Well, thanks for the heads up too,
because we might want to show all that. Oh that's right,
the kids like the car crash. Yeah, that's not funny,
but it's it is funny.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
I know it's funny. Humor get used to it both.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 5 (02:30):
Yeah, it's because it's so like as we're going to
get into it right now, like it's so vivid, like
the like the animation is Joe's talking about the.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
The kid just.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
Like it's like did any of you guys watch those
like red Pavement videos and Driver's Head.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
When they hit the red pavement like from not paying
attention with the dummies and stuff like that.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
No, no, where, it's like actual crash scene footage and
stuff and is read with it like.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
They showed us the dummy videos where it was like
car crashes and then the dummies would be floating around
and you know, coming out of their seatbrow type bullshit.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
So like you remember that episode of Archer where Lana
like hits the brakes and Archer goes through the windshield
and his light polar it. That's what these videos were like.
But they weren't animated.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
Yeah we we They showed like some shit like local
crashes of trunk drivers of different accidents, like real ship. Yeah,
the average early two thousands.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
Yeah, they trauma tized the fuck out of us.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
Right, like we even class, Like, dude, I'm gonna walk
for a good while right.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
Now, right, No, like your parents are like you want
to drive around? No, I'm good. You know, I had
a night quill last night. I think I'm all right.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Well, what's up? Read? Thanks for joining us here in
the live chat room. We appreciate you. We're getting now
into put it down. So that's not the only story
that's going on here with the car crashes. The main
storyline here is that Tweet gets caught up in the
middle of a petty conflict and it drives with his
relationship with Craig to the brink. So it starts out

(04:34):
here where a concert is being held in South Park
Elementary PC principal announces or he is giving a speech
as Tweet goes up to perform a song about the
recent events with North Korea, kind of has a little
bit of a meltdown, smashing the piano, screaming, says that
North Korea has gonna bomb in the United States, runs
off stage, screaming some more, followed up by a kindergartener

(04:55):
who tries to sing whales on the bus but is
unable to sing properly after watching tweaks display of madness. Furthermore,
the south Park South Park Cafeteria, the boys are talking
to Craig about Tweak's behavior and Craig says Tweak would
not listen to him. Heidi comes over to Cartman and
his mood changes. Cartman says he wanted to give Heidi
another chance because she said she would n't hisself, guys,

(05:18):
she said he would add alverrf guys. All right, it
doesn't matter what you said it, but you know, yeah, yeah,
crazy stuff. All right, So let's get into the first
clip here. So, oh, go ahead, scoop.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
If we're not telling someone to do it, and we're
just quoting the show, can we not?

Speaker 2 (05:38):
No, No, they don't like.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
It, that's the line I don't want to dance.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Yeah, So I figure saying it once won't be a
big deal, but if we repeat it, it definitely will
be a big deal.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
Damn Cartman's song is gonna suck, then, well.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
Cartman can sing it. That's the thing. We can't say it,
but we can play part of the music. And I
mean we can't play all of it. There's still going
to be copyright, right, but like we can play part
of it, and I can also, Yeah, I've played stuff
like that before. I mean the quote from mister Mathi,
I will you know grape you in your fee mouth? Right,

(06:14):
So like, yeah, he says the full thing. We've played
that and we you know it's still up or something
like it.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
I feel like if document it, if we're documenting it,
that's one.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
Thing, yeah, but repeating it is another.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
Like even like I've been watching a bunch of well
we were talking about it earlier, I'm watching a bunch
of crimjew videos on YouTube, and like theyn't censor out
everything even though they're using it in the factual and
scientific sense. So it's it's just easier to dance on

(06:49):
the side of caution.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
Yeah, so let's dance here into the theater with PC principle.

Speaker 6 (06:57):
Today we're going to one of our students has written
a song.

Speaker 7 (07:01):
The song is about his feelings towards the current political
climate with North Korea.

Speaker 6 (07:06):
Put your hands together for Tweak.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
Think sits down at the piano.

Speaker 4 (07:18):
Perfect.

Speaker 3 (07:19):
I'm gonna say that's a very accurate depiction of relations
with North Korea.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
North Korea.

Speaker 8 (07:33):
Why are you.

Speaker 9 (07:38):
Because it's North Korea, all right.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
And the only reason back at that time that I
thought he was overreacting was because he was over reacting
about North Korea. Like, yeah, I'm talking about we're talking
about a defense force that as recently as last month
couldn't even launch a ship properly without the thing capsizing.
So like if he had been like Yo, China's coming

(08:15):
after us, if this had been like a recap of
the China problem like ten years later, like I'd be like,
all right, Tweak, you got something there, But like to
be tripping over North Korea, it just like, you know,
like anything they've put up in this guy has been
like either inert or taken out by some special defense force,

(08:40):
either ours or someone else's.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
Like perpetuity, Reesay is looking back at how the world
is right now. Though Tweak's reaction is so valid.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
And I'm not saying it's not. It's a very valid
reaction for every It just like if I were a
betting man and I am like, it's she's putting money
on North Korea being the reason it all goes to
ship as a sucker bad.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
No, I get what you're saying. Maybe it's more the
context of just Tweak having a meltdown, you know what
I mean.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
Like totally, totally yes, no, and that's what I'm That's
what I agree with. So I'm just sorry, Like, bro,
it ain't gonna be Korea. Calm down.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Uh So after that PC principle, we're rendition of wheels
on the bus. Wheels on the bus. Now this girl
is tripping, all right. So next day in the cafeteria here,
as I mentioned, this is where the boys are gonna

(09:46):
talk to Craig about Tweak. They're like, dude, something's going
on on Tweet.

Speaker 8 (09:50):
Dude, Craig, you gotta get tweaked to get ahold of yourself.
He's freaking everybody out. What am I supposed to do?
He's your boyfriend, dude, He's not gonna listen to be
he never he does when he's emotional.

Speaker 10 (10:01):
Creg Let me.

Speaker 8 (10:02):
Tell you about relationship. Okay, if you don't have some,
you're not gonna get anywhere. Doesn't matter if they're gay
bows and ray. Boss, if you don't take in troub
your tide of relationship, you'll get walked all over.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
He shows up.

Speaker 8 (10:12):
Oh hey, baby, what's going on?

Speaker 11 (10:16):
We're still on the recess.

Speaker 8 (10:18):
Yep, Bobby, then k babe, love you? That's how you shay?
You broke up with hebby. I decided to give her
one more chance. But you said she was mentally abusive.
She is mentally abusive.

Speaker 10 (10:29):
L take him back.

Speaker 8 (10:31):
She said she was getting kill herself. All right, guys
there I broke up with her.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
Literally everything he told her.

Speaker 8 (10:39):
Is crazy to do.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
The chick is crazy. What is he supposed to do?
That's I mean, that's all he could say.

Speaker 4 (10:52):
There.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
So dumb, He is so dumb, dude. Tweak is at
his locker now, muttering. Craig approaches him and tells him
to calm down. He pulls out his phone and starts
freaking out about the President's tweet, even Craig suggesting him
the North Korea. Craig suggests that he sends North Korea
some cupcakes, and then, while while that's going on at
Stan's locker room, Heid he approaches him and reveals, as

(11:17):
you mentioned, Joe, that Cartman has said himself that he
was going to underlive himself and that if she did
not take him back, or if she did not take
him back that is, and Hei details Stan she will
send him the voicemail Cartman left her, which all leads
to the boys laughing about it in the bathroom.

Speaker 3 (11:35):
Oh yeah, we've all left one of those.

Speaker 4 (11:41):
Ray if we were to go back in time to
our our time at our age, right, and one of
our homies did something like that and we found out
and we heard the voicemail. Bro tell me, we wouldn't
be roasting the fall a out of that.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
Boy.

Speaker 4 (11:58):
Yeah, Bro, here's like twelve, what are you doing.

Speaker 3 (12:05):
You're like to tell even now? Bro?

Speaker 12 (12:10):
Bro Bro.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
Uh, while that's going on, Kim Jong is going to
get the cupcakes, the frosted white cupcakes. So yeah, if
Tweak follows through with that, which leads to eventually like
Tweak having cupcake batter all over him in his kitchen
as he looks through his phone and he sees an
article about the cupcakes in North Korea which says that

(12:34):
North Korean's are delighted by his act. But then a
notification comes through that the US president has responded to
the cupcakes. But we'll get to that down the line.
So here's the very next scene. Tweak at his locker
as I.

Speaker 8 (12:49):
Mentioned, wait, dude, come on, you gotta settle down.

Speaker 10 (12:56):
We're gonna die.

Speaker 8 (12:57):
We're not all gonna die. You're overreacting. Everything's fine, okay.

Speaker 10 (13:03):
Okay, the president attack gonna think we all agree with
the president.

Speaker 8 (13:11):
Okay, So how about you write your congress bet a letter?

Speaker 3 (13:15):
How many they?

Speaker 8 (13:17):
Okay, so write a letter to the North Koreans.

Speaker 10 (13:19):
I did write Korean and the anyway.

Speaker 8 (13:22):
Okay, Well, then why don't you just send something nice
to the North Korean make you feel better, Mabe? Send
something I don't know, like make up through croissance or something.

Speaker 10 (13:32):
I don't know how to make croissance.

Speaker 8 (13:34):
Well, what do you know how to make many?

Speaker 13 (13:42):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (13:45):
I just yeah, I just want to say how much
I love these twos growing and blossoming, beautiful relationship honey
and babe, And.

Speaker 3 (13:58):
Well, what do you think we should do? Like crazy
being the voice of a reason.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
And look, I'm not saying Scoop.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
Is right, we must hold tweaking Craig with highest honor.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
I'm just saying, Okay, look, I'm gonna go. I will
say it here. I'm not opposed to the relationship itself.
I think it is cute. I don't I still don't
agree with how it happened it came to be. They
basically just made them gay for the sake of being gay. Yeah,
so I'd never agree with that aspect, but it is funny.

(14:34):
But I mean, they do have a real relationship thereafter.
So I don't know what to say. Does that mean
they're actually gay or is it just they were told
they're gay, so that's why they're being gay.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
Right, that's kind of a like do they know stuwiek
and talk thing?

Speaker 2 (14:51):
Right? That's true? That is true. So back at Stan's locker, now, wait,
they I want to.

Speaker 11 (15:00):
Make sure he's all right.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
The dog.

Speaker 11 (15:02):
I don't even know if I should be saying this.

Speaker 10 (15:04):
But Eric said he was thinking.

Speaker 11 (15:05):
About killing himself.

Speaker 10 (15:07):
What we broke up and he called.

Speaker 11 (15:09):
Saying he was about to do it. I'm still really
scared for him.

Speaker 8 (15:13):
Wait, Carton said he was gonna kill himself.

Speaker 11 (15:15):
I'll send you the voicemail if you promise to keep
it private.

Speaker 13 (15:18):
Right, I'm gonna killy.

Speaker 8 (15:35):
Klinka really cool ismails.

Speaker 10 (15:41):
You sound like a dying pig suicide.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
Okay, So now as we mentioned North Korea, so uh,
I don't know this song is copyright. I'm gonna say
it's not because they did take him from North Korea.
I don't think that matters.

Speaker 4 (16:16):
Kind of a jam.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
That did slap, didn't it?

Speaker 4 (16:37):
Yeah, buddy.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
So back at South Park Elementary now, Cartman walks into
PC Principal's office. Up set, Cartman says kids at school
are not taking suicide seriously. Out of the school needs
to raise awareness on the issue. PC Principal explains that
this week is distracted driving prevention. Cartman argues that more
lives are at stake with his charitable effort, if you

(16:59):
want to, I mean themselves. Uh, and then we, like
I said, were I tweaks residents when he is looking
at the cupcakes, and then Miss Garris saying well, he's gonna,
he's gonna mister Donald Trump Garrison, that's gonna fight back.
Here's Cartman Dowin's PC Principal's office.

Speaker 6 (17:17):
Yes, sir, how can I help you?

Speaker 8 (17:18):
I don't think kids that they scu takes suicide seriously
enough and we need to raise the rent.

Speaker 7 (17:22):
It well, Unfortunately, this week is Distracted Driving Awareness week
at school, so you might have a hard time distracted
driving that a lot of people. There's more dust now
because the people on their phones while driving than ever before, Principal,
someone's life is at stake if I have to compete
with distracted driving, and that's what I.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
Was doing, That's how I did. It is true. There
are a lot of distracted drivers out on the road now.
It's ridiculous.

Speaker 4 (17:48):
Ah, I fucking hate it. It's like, come on, bro,
put it down.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
Put it down.

Speaker 4 (17:53):
If you like being the president today.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
Put it, put it down, put it When you become
a president, you gotta put it down. Yeah, you gotta
put it down. Here's tweak Now. First, he's gonna sing,
he's gonna he's gonna be happy. North Korea able to
reach your town. North Korea delighted by cupcakes.

Speaker 6 (18:12):
A young homosexual boy.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
Important parts, just like that's part of the story.

Speaker 4 (18:21):
Like, yeah, well, you know.

Speaker 6 (18:26):
North Korean government.

Speaker 7 (18:28):
Little Rascal apparently made a dent with a North Korean
dictator who is said to have loved the cupcakes so
much that he started to make his own.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
And then all of a suddencakes.

Speaker 6 (18:42):
The human interest cupcake story has apparently been heard by
the President. Just moments ago, the President tweeted that kid tweak,
he's with you North Korea. I'll bet he took a dump.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
I know that kid, he's fucking with you.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
Uh so, uh let's see here.

Speaker 1 (19:14):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
Being on Tumblr the night this episode premiere was so fun, says,
and then Scooper spawned. I never knew about tumbler till
it was too late. It was too late.

Speaker 4 (19:23):
It was too late, is it. I don't.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
Listen.

Speaker 4 (19:30):
I was dumb.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
I didn't know how to google Tumblr. Yeah, I don't know.
I never really used it myself. What's it used for?
Like a blog site?

Speaker 4 (19:41):
I think it was like pre it was like Reddit
before read it?

Speaker 2 (19:48):
Whoa interesting, Joe? Did you know what tumblr was?

Speaker 3 (19:54):
No?

Speaker 2 (19:55):
Okay, yeah.

Speaker 4 (20:00):
Right, just too fucking old.

Speaker 2 (20:03):
Yeah, I know, it's hard to keep up with new
social media stuff. I mean, I'm doing a pretty good
job on Blue Sky, but that's about it. But I've
kind of slowed down, but I still have like five
or five thousand followers. So that's pretty core.

Speaker 4 (20:17):
Micro blogging social media platform where users can share short
form content including text, photos of videos.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
Audio, and more.

Speaker 4 (20:26):
Oh okay, so yeah, it looks like it was Reddit
before Reddit was Reddit.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
Re says it's basically now for fangirls and shippers. So
there you go, shippers and shippers. Yeah, exactly. Well, let's
talk about this relationship treaking Craig against Craig walks in.

Speaker 8 (20:46):
So I went and got you something to make things better.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
Fidget spinner.

Speaker 8 (20:49):
Fidget spinner. It's supposed to help with anxiety. See.

Speaker 14 (20:56):
The President of the United States just tweeted again, this
time saying I hope all children of America will stand
with tweak and saying go ahead and bomb us Kim
Jong Dong.

Speaker 8 (21:08):
We dare you.

Speaker 3 (21:14):
The tweets are really accurate.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
Oh my gosh, so you saw all that. Now at
South Park and elementary group of kids are handing out
flyers in an attempt to educate kids on distracted driving.
When Carmon goes over at the intercom talking about suicide prevention.
Cartman who's dressed in a black hoodie comes into a
video and starts singing to the tune of seven three
eighty two fifty five. I'm not sure what that is.

Speaker 3 (21:42):
Let's have a logic song. The number is the suicide
hotlines before it became nine to eight eight. Gotcha, and
Logic turned the number into a song basically mental health advocacy, like.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
Oh, okay, that's why you're the trivia god. He walks
around the school doing this claim that he's gonna unalli himself,
and he goes over to distract the driving kids and
drop some microphone in front of them. Go ahead, scoop.

Speaker 4 (22:10):
So I googled when Tumblr came out, it says, I
was like, as Tumblr, did Tumblr come out before read It?
And it's like, yes, Tumblr came out before read It.
Tumbler was launched in February two thousand and seven. Read It,
on the other hand, was launched in June two thousand
and five.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
Reddit's older, right, Yeah, I guess.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
So fucking ai I did. We're talking about something that
called Ernie Johnson a black guy. That's true, I mean,
which was like, which was like one of the funniest
things I'd seen in a long while, and like Charles
Barkley's reaction to it was great.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
All right, So back at school, Hey, guys.

Speaker 10 (22:55):
Take a minute to read about distracted driving.

Speaker 11 (22:57):
You know that's staying off the mobile devices when they
get behind We all, hey.

Speaker 8 (23:00):
Guys, got a second to help stop distracted driving.

Speaker 15 (23:03):
Thanks.

Speaker 2 (23:03):
Thanks.

Speaker 3 (23:06):
She's sitting there playing and restored her talk.

Speaker 15 (23:08):
About suicide preventionion.

Speaker 8 (23:10):
There's coming someone right now and this school thinking about
killing himself, and it's not funny. You better take it
serious or he might actually do it. I've been feeling, said,
I've been beeing, said, can't talk to my mom, don't
even have a dad, I can't go out.

Speaker 10 (23:23):
But its living foot but hot, screams. I don't want
to live.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
No, no, we don't want to die.

Speaker 11 (23:32):
We don't want to.

Speaker 4 (23:37):
Go.

Speaker 3 (23:38):
It goes so hard. Yes, every department is a great musician.

Speaker 8 (23:43):
We met, Yeah, you guess, dance with my girlfriend and like,
I'm living a quick sand complicting.

Speaker 6 (23:50):
I need a better So this is great.

Speaker 8 (23:52):
She's like, she's like.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
Playing the back of the track for him and.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
He's just this, all right, let's finish off this scene
with the song.

Speaker 10 (24:08):
Anybody, we don't want you to die. Oh god no,
but it's so hard. Eric, we don't want you to die.

Speaker 8 (24:16):
Only you guys can make a difference. I don't care
if you're black, white, gay, straight, or transit. I am
going to kill myself. I'm like, you are not taking it,
jerryth Eric, Please don't die.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
Eric, it's a great though. Now he walks back up
to the distracted people and he just drops the bike
in front.

Speaker 8 (24:38):
Of their face, distracted driving my atoe.

Speaker 2 (24:47):
Oh that's funny, that is that is great all right.
So at the Tweak residence, Tweak is playing with his
fidget spinner. When Richard approaches, Tweaks panics. He'll only panics more.
When a rocket is hurt outside. Tweak runs outside to
find a North Korean missile flying over his house. He
runs a turn on TV, which reports the launch. Newscast

(25:09):
cuts to reading tune he from Casey TV, who is
speaking in Korean, and it cuts back to the American
reporter who shows a new tweet from the President says,
you really think Tweak is scared? Tweak, Well, okay, you
know what, I will go ahead and just play it
because it's better. Yeah, it's better when mister Donald John
Harrison says it. Tweak now playing with this fidget spinner.

Speaker 6 (25:36):
Hi, Tweak, how's it going with the fidget spinner? You
seem a lot less anxious?

Speaker 2 (25:42):
Things are finally turning around for my little homosexual son.

Speaker 4 (25:46):
Geez Okay, now I kind of get sure how you
cannot kind of get not like it.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
Yeah, it's like they're forcing it to be.

Speaker 4 (25:54):
Yeah, it's forced, since you pointed out what definitely see it.

Speaker 3 (26:01):
But I think that may more. I think that was
always kind of a commentary on media just suddenly like
it's a little right wingy, but like media is just
like suddenly the quote unquote suddenly putting gay gay relationships

(26:22):
in where they don't necessarily need to be or whatever.
And I'm not saying I agree with it or anything
like that. I'm just saying I think this was that
was like kind of they're taking a stab or a
joke at just like relations relationships randomly popping up, I guess,

(26:45):
or for forcing something that isn't there to be there.

Speaker 2 (26:51):
Right moving along here, as I mentioned, Tweak is tripping
out now after that, and he goes turn the TV
on the parties involved.

Speaker 16 (27:02):
Breaking news now out of Colorado, where the North Koreans
appear to have fired a missile over Tweaks House week.
Of course, the young boy who got the attention of
Kim John Munn last week.

Speaker 6 (27:12):
The news media in North Korea is calling the missile
test of victory for its people.

Speaker 14 (27:18):
Today, the great country of North Korea has proven its
determination and fortitude by successfully firing a missile over Tweaks House, perhaps.

Speaker 3 (27:30):
The way.

Speaker 17 (27:32):
In response to the Donald Trump, Harrison United States has
just tweeted this statement, you really think Tweak is scared?
Tweak will single handedly go to North Korea and follow
you slanmy eyed bitches doggy style.

Speaker 3 (27:49):
Dead dead.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
That's bad though, you know what I'm saying. So Tweak
of course freaks out once again. And then there's also
another breaking news. Here's another tweet from the President.

Speaker 6 (28:07):
I even think.

Speaker 17 (28:08):
Tweak is worried about a bunch of dipshit poor ass
third world rice pickers on.

Speaker 3 (28:15):

Speaker 6 (28:16):
Calm down, you know.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
I wasn't far enough.

Speaker 4 (28:20):
They went in for the joking.

Speaker 6 (28:28):
Focus on the.

Speaker 2 (28:31):
Focus on your fidget spin son, focus on his fidget spinner.
Uh So the next day, now at South Park itself. Uh,
there is This is where we start to get to
the scene of you need to put it down. So
because a couple are shown driving on their cell phones
driving discuss some of the present tweeting. The child Gary
Borkovec is in the shown in the street and the

(28:53):
women yells of the car smashes into him and he
is shown in the street dead. So we will show
right up until the act, but then after that. I
don't think I can show it on YouTube.

Speaker 3 (29:04):
I just saw Dan Weldon's.

Speaker 6 (29:08):
I'm on Drudge. You see what the President tweeted about it?

Speaker 2 (29:11):
Now, what do you say?

Speaker 6 (29:12):
President tweeted North Korea.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
They didn't like when we showed the blood baths of
the guard for the They didn't like when we showed
the blood baths from the.

Speaker 3 (29:23):
No I know, Oh my god, look on the kid's face.

Speaker 2 (29:27):
It's just, oh my god, that's horrible. Here as they
get out here they go to check. Oh my god,
it was mad. That's a quick flash. I'll be okay,
Oh my gosh, that was Oh that kid got taken out.

Speaker 3 (29:44):
Get that kid some whist to shear sauce was just.

Speaker 4 (29:49):
Ome on. He not coming down, you know.

Speaker 2 (29:51):
Coming down.

Speaker 4 (29:55):
Oh ship.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
So because of this, because of that child dying, South
Park Elementary, the mood is somber. Everybody's holding candles. Cartman
walks in, looking around. He approaches the voice to explain
him what happened with Gary. Cartman says he's going to
talk to PC principal. PC Principal, who's lifting weights in
his office as Carton knocks and enters, says Gary is
dead and that they cannot do anything for him, but

(30:18):
continues to focus on his awareness campaign, saying he should
bring it into the streets. That being PRAC principal saying,
you should go to the streets and talk about this, bro,
If it's that important to you, You know what I'm.

Speaker 3 (30:30):
Saying, right, I did just get out of my school ass.

Speaker 2 (30:38):
Then we go back to the Tucker residence where Tweat
bursts in with another tweet from the president, and then we,
as suggested by PC Principal, Cartman and Heidi, end up
outside of a supermarket handing out flyers preventing trying to
prevent Eric from on alive in himself, and Heidi ends
up saying that many people respond on their website saying

(30:59):
they feel the same way if Carton says it's about him,
not about anyone else. Cartman rants about Heidi talking to
other boys online and that she is the reason why
he is, you know, trying to inlive himself. A couple
of driving in the parking lot on the phones when
they slam and they run into a toddler in a
shopping cart because they were distracted while they were driving.

(31:22):
Everyone's sad. Now Cartman locks him.

Speaker 10 (31:29):
I know, I know, it's so sad.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
Carmen thinks it is about him at first.

Speaker 8 (31:35):
How nice, it's a little more like it. Well, guys,
what happened? Change of heart? Yeah, you didn't hear. Gary
Borkovic got ran over by a distracted driver. What Gary Borkievek?

Speaker 12 (31:45):
Is he dead?

Speaker 8 (31:46):
Yeah, dude, he's dead. Oh that son of a bitch.
Put down the candle, Kenny, like you ever gave a
shit about Gary Porkivek race suicide awareness. But everyone's preoccupied
with this. Don't be on your phone when driving, crap.

Speaker 6 (32:05):
Garry Borkovic was a good student.

Speaker 7 (32:07):
He didn't deserve to be taking away from someone not
paying attention to the road.

Speaker 8 (32:10):
Yes, but Gary Borki is already dead. There's nothing we
can do for him, students need to focus on people
thinking about dying.

Speaker 6 (32:17):
I don't know what more you want from me, bro,
I can't just get.

Speaker 8 (32:19):
People to care with a stupid rap song. I need
a full orchestra, woodwinds, strings, I need black people in
white ropes. White people in black ropes had a thousand
jobs to release into the air.

Speaker 6 (32:29):
I can give you two student volunteers and one pigeon.

Speaker 2 (32:36):
You know that's not a bad offer, though, right like.

Speaker 3 (32:40):
He was ready to negotiate too.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
I give you two student volunteers and one pigeon. First off,
how's he gonna get that pigeon? Or if he already
has that pigeon, why does he have that pigeon? You
know what I'm saying. These are questions.

Speaker 3 (32:53):
Mike Tyson has pigeons?

Speaker 2 (32:55):
He does?

Speaker 4 (32:56):
Yeah? Oh yeah, dude, yeah, dude, dude.

Speaker 3 (33:00):
That's see how he's discovered that he could beat the
fuck out of people. Was someone killed one of his
pigeons and he turned around and fucking beat the ship
out of the kid.

Speaker 2 (33:10):
Damn.

Speaker 3 (33:11):
Then yeah, and then they just like kind of channeled
that to box.

Speaker 4 (33:16):
Yeah the rest is history.

Speaker 2 (33:18):
Yeah, interesting, I did not know that.

Speaker 3 (33:21):
Yeah, that that's a fun rabbit hole to go there.

Speaker 8 (33:24):
I thought, I cannot believe the lack of concern.

Speaker 10 (33:26):
At this ski.

Speaker 8 (33:27):
Maybe I should just take the awareness of my suicide
out to the public on the streets.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
Maybe you should, Maybe you should, Maybe I will, Maybe
you should, maybe you did, maybe you should. All right,
So now Craig is sleeping sombrely. Here his Tweak bursts in.
It's funny, he's all quiet.

Speaker 8 (33:46):
First, and then wow, ete week, look at what the
president tweeted. Now, what time is it?

Speaker 4 (33:54):
Dude? Read it?

Speaker 8 (33:57):
North Korea doesn't have the ball to attack, Tweak, They
little tidy rice ball gonna get me.

Speaker 16 (34:03):
Look at that, Kyle of President's tweets have certainly caught
the attention of North Korea, who've been spending the possible
targets for a nuclear strike if war were to break out.

Speaker 3 (34:18):
They're dropping anvil.

Speaker 8 (34:22):
Wait tweet, Let's think this through. Logically, North Korea isn't
going to attack anyone. Okay, they're not going to start
a war. They can't win. Okay, Drag, you have to
stop it.

Speaker 2 (34:33):
So he tries to come from him and calm him down.
Let's see here, and then outside of the supermarket, cartman
and heid here now are gonna be handing out those
flyers as I mentioned, So let's jump ahead to that
scene suit.

Speaker 8 (34:46):
That as serious. Help tell people like cow it's.

Speaker 4 (34:48):
Not a joke.

Speaker 6 (34:49):
Good for you guys trying to help.

Speaker 8 (34:51):
Yeah, make sure everyone you know.

Speaker 11 (34:54):
We're getting a lot of attention, Eric, Our website is
already full of kids saying they feel the same way
as you and want to get help.

Speaker 8 (35:00):
They want to get help for what.

Speaker 11 (35:02):
For wanting to take their own life?

Speaker 8 (35:05):
No, this is about me killing my child, but.

Speaker 11 (35:08):
Made there's a lot of kids who feel the same
way you do.

Speaker 8 (35:10):
They're full of shit, Heidie, They're just trying to get attention.
What are you actually talking online to these ass wipes?

Speaker 11 (35:16):
I thought this was an amazing awareness and helping people.

Speaker 8 (35:19):
So you're just gonna email with every guy who has
a dick and a death wish?

Speaker 10 (35:22):
Are we just your type?

Speaker 3 (35:23):
Eric?

Speaker 8 (35:24):
Come on, No, look, Heidie, I'm sorry, but you're the
one who started all this by telling everybody.

Speaker 10 (35:28):
That I was suicidal.

Speaker 8 (35:29):
Okay, Now I'm under a lot of pressure to do it,
so the only option I have is to make sure
that suicide prevention becomes this entire town's number one priority.

Speaker 10 (35:38):
Oh, John, did you see what the president said about you?

Speaker 2 (35:40):
And then once again, this lady runs over a toddler
in a shopping car.

Speaker 18 (35:48):
This is excuse me, especially aftermath there, this is the
perfect time where or this is sorry, this is where
Cartan and finally lets go of Eric.

Speaker 4 (36:03):
It goes completely to the dark side because you know
it's full of people looking saying that feel the same
way as even looking for help.

Speaker 9 (36:13):
What do you mean?

Speaker 3 (36:14):
And this put his cross over to the dark side.
Not beating a dude his.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
Parents, Well, were the conversation we've been having though, like
lately is like with there was two sides to this boy.
As he started being hi, right, there was Eric the
nice kid, and then I think what Scoop is saying
now as he's crossing back over to being Cartman once again.

Speaker 4 (36:36):
Okay, okay, So so Cartman killed the parents, samana me
eat him?

Speaker 3 (36:42):
That was okay, it's a high thing. Yeah yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (36:48):
And so when they destroyed all of his ship and everything,
that's when he reverted back to Cartman as like Eric sorry,
as like a defense mechanism. And then as time wore
on as as it would with or Eric, it wore
him down and then Cartman started to come back up
because it's just too easy.

Speaker 2 (37:06):
For Okay, good point, their good point. So thank you, yeah,
thank you. Now at the amusement park, tweaking Craiger. There
they're trying to, you know, release some stress, and we'll
see them getting on.

Speaker 8 (37:22):
Are going here, Craig, We're gonna get your mind off
politics and have some fun. Now, what's your favorite ride?

Speaker 2 (37:32):
So they get on this ferris.

Speaker 4 (37:33):
Will just look at that view, Joe, I will say
Disneyland's ferris wheel with the with the swinging swinging carriages,
California Adventures.

Speaker 3 (37:53):
So that's like the one with the giant face and
Mickey on it, right, I think.

Speaker 2 (37:58):
So we didn't actually go on it. Yeah, we didn't
actually go on it. But like, there was two styles
to the ferris wheel. There was one where the cabinet,
the cab itself doesn't move, it's just stays in place.
And then there's one where it's on a rail system
and it swings back and forth and comes down and
when the when the wheel turns and then it swings again.

Speaker 4 (38:19):
Yeah, it's it's pretty nuts.

Speaker 2 (38:22):
It looked nuts. I don't know if I would do that,
I would do the regular ferris wheel.

Speaker 4 (38:25):
That sounds regular one, yeah, but it was like when
we walked by it, it was it said it was
like forty eight minutes, and then when we walked past
it back from the bathroom, it was up to like
an hour.

Speaker 2 (38:37):
Like that would have been a good one for a picture.
And if we had done that one, like because then
we could go taking a picture of the park. So uh, well,
the kids are continuing on here as well, mister Donald Trump,
President Garrison, it's not done.

Speaker 10 (38:55):
Another come on, why.

Speaker 11 (39:01):
Tweet is so not scared?

Speaker 10 (39:02):
He's at an amusement.

Speaker 8 (39:03):
Park in then for right now?

Speaker 2 (39:04):
Yeah, we got get out of hair.

Speaker 8 (39:08):
Wait wait, use your brain. North Korea isn't going to
attack an amusement park. You're safer here than anywhere.

Speaker 6 (39:17):
Oh jesus.

Speaker 2 (39:18):
Now it happens again. This time they're distracted driving what's
supposed to be Yeah, a tracked and then it happens
again at bumper cars. She hits a bunch of kids tweaking. Craig.

Speaker 8 (39:42):
Now it's probably nothing. Everything's side.

Speaker 13 (39:47):
Will you please not say that I can't take it.

Speaker 8 (39:49):
I'm trying to make you feel better. Well, maybe I
don't want to feel better right now, Okay, but think
about that. That actually doesn't make any sense.

Speaker 10 (39:57):
Why do you have to be so logical? I don't
problem solve all the time I need them.

Speaker 4 (40:03):
I don't know.

Speaker 8 (40:03):
Wait, honey, all week you've been freaking out, and I've
been the one force to deal with it.

Speaker 10 (40:08):
You haven't been dealing with it. You've been trying to
make you.

Speaker 8 (40:10):
Go a right because my almost.

Speaker 2 (40:14):
It's all happenings in the background.

Speaker 8 (40:15):
North Korea isn't bombing anyone. They would lose the support
of China and that would be go Again't stop preaking
fastin me.

Speaker 10 (40:21):
It's not what I need.

Speaker 2 (40:22):
True.

Speaker 10 (40:23):
Well, I'm sorry, but I'm.

Speaker 8 (40:24):
Actually control of my goddamn emotions.

Speaker 10 (40:26):
Your baby.

Speaker 8 (40:27):
Oh see now, you baby lose control of my emotions.
God damn it.

Speaker 3 (40:32):
What a little bit of das lighting there, Craig limiting.

Speaker 2 (40:35):
Yeah, lie, and but tweak is right, like in his
current situation. Sometimes you don't need someone to like logically
give you the answer. You just need to elect your emotions, like.

Speaker 3 (40:46):
I just need someone it's gonna be okay.

Speaker 2 (40:49):
Yeah, exactly. Just accept my emotions for what they are
right now and let me work through them and know
that most likely they're not targeted towards you, so like,
don't take it personal, you know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (41:02):
Yeah, sometimes you just need you know, like, hey, do
you mind if I kind of just let some shit
out on you real quick? Yeah, And if it's like
you know, if someone's not if if there's you know,
not a good time for them, you know, hopefully you
share that kind of consent where it's like bro a
fucking list, like ah, fuck, can you you have like

(41:25):
a minute? It's like nah, dude, that's a good time,
you know, Or it's like lay it on me, brother,
that kind of went.

Speaker 3 (41:33):
Off, and I just I just try to dump without warning.

Speaker 2 (41:38):
That's fine.

Speaker 4 (41:39):
Oh you know, you know that's fine. Sometimes you can't
help it.

Speaker 2 (41:43):
Sometimes you gotta do it. Sometimes you gotta do it,
all right. So back at South Park Elementary School, the
boys ask why Tweak is not in the school. Henry
goes over the mic to announce a memorial service for
the people lost from distracted driving Cartman, Butson announcing a
he was out of wearing his potluck. Heidi grabs a
mic from Henry and tries to get him to stop,

(42:04):
but Craig is seen walking away as Cartman runs off
Tweak is in his room. Four fidget spinners are in
his and Craig walks in and tries reasoning with him
and asking him about his feelings as they both talk
about Tweet talks about how he feels, saying I have
no control over my life, like I'm just a pawn
in a big game, and then he feels trapped but

(42:25):
like completely unable to move, and then they start finding
ways to solve the situation. Twink basically thanks Craig as
they both give each other a smile, and then claims
he knows what to do now. And what we're going
to see in the scene is Craig finally understands how
to help Tweak, and that's not by telling him what
he should do, but by asking questions to help him

(42:45):
lead to that answer. You know what I mean, Like
guiding him along with the thought process itself so that
way Tweat can come to a solution versus having a
manic breakdown. All right now, back in the day elementary.

Speaker 8 (43:00):
School, how should I know? Oh, troubling Paradise doesn't want help, Okay,
he just wants to overreact. Hey, guys, can we have
your attention tomorrow night?

Speaker 14 (43:11):
We'll be having a memorial service for all the students
we've lost to distractive driving.

Speaker 8 (43:14):
We hope you can all bring your families.

Speaker 10 (43:16):
Hell yeah, hey guys.

Speaker 15 (43:17):
And there's also gonna be a suicide were the potluck
at seven thirty to morow night in the school gymnasium.
We're gonna have lots of games and face painting and
what are you.

Speaker 8 (43:23):
Guys gonna have. We're gonna have some guest speakers and
also provide grievance counselors for those who need it. Yeah,
grievance counseling.

Speaker 15 (43:30):
That sounds super fun. Listen, guys, there's a very real
chance I might actually do it right in front of everyone.
To Mouse. You don't want to miss this suicide prevention Podlock.

Speaker 8 (43:37):
Everybody, Eric, you need to stop.

Speaker 10 (43:39):
What they're doing is important.

Speaker 15 (43:40):
They're doing a memorial service with speeches in crime.

Speaker 8 (43:43):
What's that gonna solve? It's not about problem solving, Carrock,
It's about people getting together and feeling.

Speaker 10 (43:47):
What they need to feel.

Speaker 2 (43:49):
Craig understands help.

Speaker 11 (43:50):
Sorting out their emotions sometimes, and the best thing isn't
always quick answers, but just being there, supporting each other
and talking through those feelings.

Speaker 8 (43:58):
You are so up and down. I don't know what
you walk from the id.

Speaker 10 (44:01):
Come on, there has to be away.

Speaker 11 (44:02):
We can all work together here.

Speaker 8 (44:04):
So now you're on the Oh my god, Eric, oh.

Speaker 2 (44:13):
Gosh, uh oh, it's the wire. So here's Tweak now
in his room. As you can see, he's playing with
four fidget spinners. And then Craig is gonna walk in.

Speaker 10 (44:29):
What's going on now?

Speaker 2 (44:30):
Craig leads them on with the questions that's been going on?

Speaker 8 (44:34):
Nothing's gotten any better? Oh my god, how does that
make you feel?

Speaker 10 (44:38):
I feel scared, I feel alone.

Speaker 8 (44:41):
That must be horrible to feel that way. It must
be hard for you to even think it is.

Speaker 13 (44:45):
It's terrible.

Speaker 8 (44:46):
I bet it's terrible. What else are you feeling.

Speaker 4 (44:50):
Like?

Speaker 8 (44:50):
I have no control over my life.

Speaker 10 (44:52):
I can't just a pun and a big game.

Speaker 8 (44:54):
Oh that's a terrifying thought. You must feel trapped, yes.

Speaker 10 (44:57):
Like trapped, but like completely unable even move.

Speaker 8 (45:01):
Jesus, it's like there's no solution to any of this.

Speaker 10 (45:03):
What are you gotta do? What can you do?

Speaker 4 (45:05):
I don't know.

Speaker 8 (45:06):
It's maybe maybe I have to find a way to
feel a little in charge of me again. That sounds
so insurmountable though, how would you even start this speech?
I gotta do something about this.

Speaker 10 (45:19):
There's gotta be a way I can.

Speaker 4 (45:22):
This is a key moment.

Speaker 2 (45:25):
Thanks chills out, Thank you, Greg.

Speaker 4 (45:33):
I've got it.

Speaker 10 (45:34):
People aren't focused on the right thing.

Speaker 11 (45:36):
I know what I should do.

Speaker 2 (45:39):
Ah. That was that was good. That was like definitely
the right way you talked to someone who's man. I
kind of loved it. I help them, not try to
tell them what to do.

Speaker 4 (45:50):
That's why this is like such a good, solid episode
that resonates me with something you know.

Speaker 2 (45:56):
Yeah, no, it is so now. Finally, at the South
Park Elementary Theater, PC Principle welcomes the audience. Tweak comes
up and starts playing the piano. Craig joins and singing,
a group of boys and girls joining in the back
of the room. Townspeople join in the audience as well.
Various people are shown saying they will take the pledge, like,
including Hillary Clinton to put it down. The chorus says

(46:18):
no one cares after she does so, though, a man
inside a restaurant says he was elected president and he
puts his phone down. A couple driving holding their phones
are shown. She puts her phone down. After being elected President,
Carbon comes out starts rapping about taking his life again.
People who are killed by President on their phone are
shown tweaking Craig, who are holding hands smiling along the

(46:40):
choir are shown one last time and it lights him
to show tweaking Craig with Carbon announcing that he is
not going on alive himself this time, that they did it.
They did it all right, So next day now, PC principal.
Last couple of minutes here on this review a.

Speaker 7 (46:58):
Very important issue. It's a song about how there are
certain times to not be on your phone. I hope
you all listen carefully.

Speaker 2 (47:08):
Tweak walking up to the piano.

Speaker 10 (47:15):
Yeah, people are dying.

Speaker 3 (47:19):
The vault is our own.

Speaker 8 (47:21):
You can do lots of damage when you're on your phone.
We all have to agree to change it somehow.

Speaker 2 (47:32):
Let's all make a pledge to end it right now,

(47:57):
and then there's different montages. If any point you become president,
make a pledge to put it down. And this song,
this song continues on for the last ninety seconds.

Speaker 8 (48:07):
Because I know that you don't member so much, and
Bob's gone, and all the voices every day I hear them.

Speaker 10 (48:12):
Brolls Eric don't do it.

Speaker 3 (48:13):
Don't do it.

Speaker 2 (48:16):
All he did have bars in that wrap for.

Speaker 4 (48:27):
Jinny.

Speaker 3 (48:30):
They're signing it.

Speaker 2 (48:34):
Sign language.

Speaker 4 (48:35):
Yeah, where's he?

Speaker 7 (48:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (48:39):
Oh he was dead.

Speaker 2 (48:40):
Now he's dead. Finally they showed him. Yeah, we can
go back and see if you want.

Speaker 3 (48:45):
No, they don't show it on screen. They just put
him in the bar page.

Speaker 10 (48:49):
Eric, don't do it.

Speaker 3 (48:50):
Don't do it.

Speaker 2 (48:51):
N Yeah, right there. Endless fatality is one. So and
then the show ends after the sign language people, as
Joe mentions, and then Eric comes back out and he says,

(49:14):
I'm not gonna do it.

Speaker 8 (49:15):
You guys, it worked.

Speaker 10 (49:17):
I'm not gonna do it.

Speaker 2 (49:21):

and of course.

Speaker 11 (51:14):
Scuperphonics.

Speaker 2 (51:15):
You know what this guy is? The twenty twenty two
South Park Red Rocks Day one trivia Champion. He's affectionately
known on this podcast.

Speaker 6 (51:28):
As a trivia.

Speaker 2 (51:32):
God, Joe Vernola, Joe take it Away.

Speaker 3 (51:36):
This episode was a nominated Poor and Emmy Poor Most
Outstanding Animated Program. During the put It Down song, Principal
Victoria can be seen. Despite being a very large part
of the episode, the name mister Garrison has never actually

(51:58):
said that. He is always referred to as the President.
He also does not make a physical appearance in this episode.
Only his profile photo, a white version of David Rodriguez
can be spotted at the auditorium while Tweak is warning
the other kids. It is unknown if he rode his

(52:22):
piecclecta to school that day or not. There was a
working title for this episode that is basically telling someone
to unalive or turn themselves off. And I'm sure you
can figure out where I'm going with that. Yeah. According

(52:44):
to original storyboards, it was supposed to be Kenny that
got hit by a car instead of Gary. That would
have been a lot funnier too, where Carman's just like
fuck any Despite having a speaking role in the episode,
Jimmy Vallmer is not in the choir of children. The

(53:07):
same goes for Timmy Birch. This is very ablest and
it's probably because of their speech impedience. Yeah, that's super
fucking ablest.

Speaker 4 (53:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (53:19):
And the exterior of Heidi's house has changed significantly. It
is now a purplish color instead of the normal red.
The tree that was in the front yard is no
longer there, and there is now a front porch, though
that porch was noticeable in the last episode.

Speaker 2 (53:39):
And ladies and gentlemen, that is your trivia with Joe
for Nola And now.

Speaker 12 (53:47):
It's that s to the c that double OPI. It's
going to read us up some Bob Coultree. It's going
to take you on a ride, on a journey self
reflection and suggestion.

Speaker 2 (54:01):
Dakenaways.

Speaker 5 (54:02):
What what?

Speaker 4 (54:07):
The episode is a commentary on North Korean nuclear crisis
twenty seventeen, a bizarre period during which President Donald Trump
posted increasingly unhinged inflammatory comments on Twitter, escalating political tensions
with the newly nuclear capable of North Korea. Clips of
North Korean newsreader right hint re Chun He appear describing

(54:34):
tweaks provocations. The Cartopia Amusement Ride is a reference to Autotopia,
located at Disneylands. In went on that, We went on
that Yeah, either Hong Kong and Paris. Carmen's song Give
Life a Try is a parody of Logics one eight
hundred two seven three eight two five five, which also

(54:56):
deals with suicide prevention. Carmon's speech at the end of
Give Life a Try is also a parody of logic
speech at the end of his performance of The Number
That You Call Again during the twenty m TVVM aye.

Speaker 3 (55:13):
The song that It's so much easier to remember is
nine eight eight now like well done, well done to
whoever made that happen? In Congress?

Speaker 2 (55:26):
Hell yeah.

Speaker 4 (55:28):
The song that plays during the young scene is North
Korean pop song.

Speaker 2 (55:33):
With All That.

Speaker 4 (55:35):
It is a real song.

Speaker 3 (55:39):
Yeah we did this?

Speaker 4 (55:42):
Yeah, what the fuck are they going to do? Suck
a dick, North Korea? Inside I Know That Kid Inside
Craig's Room is a poster for Space with NDG, which
is a reference to American astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson and

(56:02):
his twenty fourteen documentary series Cosmos a Spacetime Odyssey, which
is amazing. Tweak tweak is seen playing with the fidget spinner,
which is a toy that had become popular among children
and teens during the summer of twenty seventeen, with claims
that it could treat various neurological disorders.

Speaker 3 (56:22):
It didn't treat anything. It was an awesome distraction though.

Speaker 4 (56:26):
Yeah, yeah, it was fun to play with. The song
put It Down is a parody of Cyndi Lauper's nineteen
eighty six song True Colors and Sam Smith's twenty fourteen
song stay with.

Speaker 2 (56:41):
Me and Ladies and Gentlemen. That is your pop culture
with that s to the c that double ope, and
now mister Joe Vernola himself is going to read us
up some storyline continuity as well. Go ahead, Joe, take

(57:03):
it away.

Speaker 3 (57:05):
Obviously, tweakend Craig are still dating. That has carried over
from Tweak and Greg from a few seasons ago. Cartman
and Heidi are back together after breaking up in the
previous episode. This is at one point Tokien mentions that
Tolkien mentions that Cartman said that Heidi was mentally abusive,

(57:28):
which is something Cartman stated in the previous episode as well.
The gender war from season twenty seems to have cooled
down a bit, as the boys and girls are shown
singing put It Down Together. In the large shot of
the town, the South Park Mall is under construction and
the koop of Keith Tower can be seen in Cartman's backyard.

(57:51):
Both are events from the Stick of Truth. Member berries
can be seen in someone's shopping cart when Carmon and
Heidi are arguing. This episode marks Kenny's first step in
four years. His last one was in Titties and Dragons.
Kenny was originally meant to be the first victim, as

(58:12):
we said earlier, but he was replaced by Gary Borkovec.
It is not said why. When Twe turns on the TV,
a red dragon and sentient cupcake can briefly be seen
on the television before Eachangees channel. Both of these characters
first appeared as residents of Imagination Land in the Imagination

(58:36):
Land trilogy.

Speaker 2 (58:38):
All Right, and ladies and gentlemen, that is your continuity,
your pop culture, your trivia. Joe Vernola, Scoop Jackson, I'll
start with you, Scoop, what did you like or dislike
about this episode?

Speaker 4 (58:50):
This episode, in my opinion, is a pretty big banger
for this season, even with you know how it started
kind of on it, dud. I mean it wasn't the
episode was the best. This is where, yeah, this is
where we have Cartman fully letting go of Eric and
like embracing Cartman again. The I love the touching of

(59:17):
not taking the news at the time as seriously as
they should have, and that super powerful moment between Tweak
and Craig while they're in Tweak's room. Is this kind
of like Matt and Trey telling each other that maybe
we both shouldn't take the news as seriously and this
is gonna help us with that? Or do we want

(59:40):
them to, you know, keep taking the news seriously and
keep freaking out about it and making episodes like this.
I don't know, but I like it. So yeah, that's
my takeaway from this episode.

Speaker 2 (59:55):
Jouvinla, what do you.

Speaker 4 (59:56):
Think there is?

Speaker 3 (59:59):
Stefan a lot to like about the episode and I
Did's something that I didn't initially recognize on the first
watch through, but it was definitely something I've picked up
on subsequent watch throughs in the eight years since this

(01:00:20):
episode has.

Speaker 11 (01:00:21):
Aired, in that it is.

Speaker 3 (01:00:26):
Going after like Cartman. Cartman's reason for prevention is completely disingenuous,
and it's an attempt to get the attention thrust upon him.

(01:00:46):
And I think that this was Matt and Trey's way
of calling those people out.

Speaker 4 (01:00:53):
Like in a way, you know.

Speaker 3 (01:00:58):
I like that, And there was there was something else,
and this is probably me looking a little too deeply
into it. I think it was trying to make a

(01:01:20):
point that people being performative like Cartman was is a
big reason why people who may legitimately be feeling that
way are not taken as seriously as they should be sometimes.

Speaker 2 (01:01:45):
Okay, Oh yeah, I love that point.

Speaker 4 (01:01:48):
I love that you made that point because yeah, as
being someone that has suffered through like severe mental issues, yeah,
and never taken seriously as we should be. And thank
you for Thank you for that, Joe. Love that.

Speaker 2 (01:02:04):
Well, ladies and gentlemen, Hold up.

Speaker 3 (01:02:07):
Hold up?

Speaker 4 (01:02:07):
What did you think about this episode? My boy?

Speaker 2 (01:02:11):
I thought this episode was good. I thought you guys
pretty much covered it all though, so I don't really
have much to add. I mean, I liked all the
same things you guys liked. The speech between Craig and
Tweak in his room I liked. I thought it was funny.
Mister Garrison's tweets and Donald Trump's squeaked all the different
insults that he led with as well as like, you know,

(01:02:33):
calling him out. Tweag said, the tweak's so not scared.
He's at the amusement park right now.

Speaker 3 (01:02:39):
Which I love that. It was like almost spot on
Elitch Gardens, it looked.

Speaker 2 (01:02:46):
And I thought that was of course relevant because at
the time, I mean, I don't know if he's much now,
but he was definitely the president. Donald Trump was tweeting
as a lot, so like I found that to be
relevant as well. So I thought that was funny. But
all the other stuff you guys talked about, you know,
as far as the development of calling people out, about

(01:03:06):
the awareness and stuff like that, I definitely agree with you. So,
ladies and gentlemen, that's gonna do it for a of
SMBMB South Park coming up next week. It's holiday special,
That's right, It's a holiday special. What happens when a

(01:03:27):
white man falls in love with another Native American man?
What happens when Christopher Columbus Day gets canceled at school?
And what happens when Cartman Lay is one of the
most precious lines I've ever heard. That's in fourteen and
ninety two Columbus got us a day aft Skiki. It's

(01:03:48):
all coming up next week on another edition of SMB
South Park.

Speaker 4 (01:04:01):
If you're still there, thank you for coming out. I
love you.

Speaker 3 (01:04:07):
Thanks for stopping by. Yeah, you'll stay classy, and you
stay classy, but mostly thanks for stopping by. No, mostly
stay classy.
