Speaker 2 (00:08):
Get ready for the
best part of your day, and we
have a very special guest andshe needs no other intro than
her name is Taylor and she isborn in 1989.
I'm so jealous, I've alwayswanted to say that and I'm
always so jealous of that.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
Hello, happy to be
here, very excited.
I've never done a podcastbefore, so we'll see how this
goes.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
We are so excited to
have her.
We're keeping it in the fam.
It's Brittany's cousin, taylor,born in 1989.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
And my initials
before I got married were T-A-S.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
Oh yeah, T-A-S too.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
Taylor, wait, like do
you feel like lucky that, that
that you have that, like I wouldfeel blessed.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
Same.
Yeah, I mean, there's an albumnamed after my birth year, so of
course, Of course.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Oh, so great.
Also, never forget, taylorwrote this Um, do you remember?
For Brittany's wedding youwrote this like taylor swift
inspired poem.
I like still think about thatpoem.
That's like the best thing I'veever read.
It was so clever.
It had every single like whatwas.
It was like every you worked inall the album.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
I worked in all the
different songs.
I mean I even include boots inthere, because booty was trouble
when he walked in britney'sall-time favorite cat.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
Yeah, I feel like
that's your secret talent,
taylor, is like poem making poemwriting.
It could be yeah, cool, allright.
Well, let's get into it.
We're going to talk about likethree kind of topics.
We'll get to know Taylor.
She actually works at the PGAspoiler alert, so we're going to
get some inside scoop on that.
We're going to talk about beinga new mom.
(01:44):
Taylor has a daughter, olivia.
What is she like?
Eight months old now.
She'll be eight months nextweek.
Yeah, crazy, yeah, such a goodage.
I'm jealous.
And then we're going to talkTaylor, because Taylor is also a
big Swifty, just like us.
Cool, all right, let's get intoit.
Question number one where areyou from and where do you live
now?
Speaker 3 (02:05):
I'm originally from
Winchester Mass, just north of
Boston, and I currently live inJacksonville, florida, which is
where the PGA Tour is based, sothat's why I'm down here.
Nice, Tell us about your family.
My husband, alex.
We've been married for almostthree years now, but we've been
(02:27):
dating.
We started dating in like 2013.
So we dated for a long timebefore we got married and, like
you said, I have a baby girl, olivia, who is going to be eight
months next week, and then Ihave two cats, jax and Rory.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
They're so cute.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
Okay, so we should
maybe say Brittany and Taylor
are related through their moms, their sisters.
This family is not just a catfamily, they are the cat family,
the cat family.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
There's actually a
cat in my lap right now.
Yeah, eddie, how many cats.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Do you think there
are between you?
Speaker 2 (03:07):
girl, or just like
all the uh cousins on that side,
I don't even know over 10.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
I mean lizzie has two
, we have two, you have three,
davis has one, emma has one, davis yeah yeah, so you guys get
.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Then that's not even
including the moms, yeah also I
have to say taylor.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
I love the name
olivia, it's so pretty you too.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
That was one of my
top girl news yeah, we were.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
We were pretty much
set on that.
We didn't tell anybody beforewe named her.
But it goes well with our lastname and, yeah, it's a normal
name, so good, I'm glad you guyslike it we do.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
What do you like and
dislike about living in florida?
Speaker 3 (03:44):
florida.
Uh, the beaches are great here, you know, just white sand.
We're close to cities likesavannah and miami.
If you want to take a littlelike weekend trip up to savannah
, it's a two-hour drive, sothat's always great.
I love savannah always great.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
Savannah.
You have that I love.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
Savannah.
The weather from like Septemberto April 1st is obviously
amazing.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
Oh, kristen, I feel
like you'll like this.
When I visited Taylor, she toldme a fun fact about
Jacksonville that it's what thebiggest city land wise right In
the US or something yeah.
Speaker 3 (04:23):
In terms of like land
area, the city land wise right
in the us or something in terms.
Yeah, in terms of like landarea, the city of jacksonville
is the biggest in the in thecountry, so like you think la
crazy huge and like so spreadout, but jacksonville is
actually even bigger than thatthat is something I would like.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
I love a geography
fun fact I really do.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
I would have given
you love any fun fact no,
totally like.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
Yeah, I feel like in
another life I should have been
a trivia announcer, but that isa good one.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
All right, cool.
So, speaking of Jacksonville, Iguess tell us about your job.
How long have you been doing?
Speaker 1 (04:55):
it.
Yeah, I'm so curious about yourjob Working at the PGA.
That's so unique.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
Yeah, so I've been
there for a little over five
years now.
I currently work on ourchampions tour, so it's our,
it's our senior tour.
So players 50 and over who youknow had successful careers
playing on the PGA tour, likeVijay Singh, ernie Els, jim
Pyrrhic I don't know if any ofthose names ring bells, but they
(05:22):
played right around Tiger whenhe was in his prime.
I was going to say would Tiger?
be in that he turns 50 thisDecember, so he would be
eligible for Champions Tour.
No one really knows what he'sdoing so I can't.
It's hard to predict what he'lldo, especially with his
injuries.
What he'll do, especially withhis injuries.
(05:42):
So I work in our competitionsplayer relations team doing our.
You know our fields each week, what players are committing and
withdrawing, and then makingsure our rules officials know
who are on site.
You know what players are, youknow coming and going and then
you know we do credentials forevery single player and their
(06:04):
family, making sure that you canget into the places you need to
get into on site.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
There are so many
logistics with golf tournaments
I feel like I've learned thatfrom the one that Chris is in
every year but it's so manylogistics and the scoring and
all that, so props, I'm sure ittakes a lot of people, oh my
gosh, coordinating somethingthat big.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
In preparation for
your episode, Taylor, I started
watching a couple episodes ofFull Swing, have you seen?
Speaker 3 (06:32):
this?
Yes, I have Okay, did you watch?
Speaker 2 (06:36):
the latest, the
latest season.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
Me.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
Me yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
No, I've only watched
a couple episodes of season one
, but I already have I havestrong opinions.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
I actually kind of
fell off halfway through the
third season.
Speaker 1 (06:52):
But so that's good.
I feel like the first seasonwas the best one.
Yeah, what do you?
Okay, can I just ask a couplenot to like derail, but I do
want to know, between some ofthe golfers featured on the
first season, who do we like themost?
Taylor, cause, I need, I needto know who I'm rooting for for
the rest of the season.
Um, we had Jordan Spieth, justin Thomas, brooks, kepka
those are the three that arecoming to mind Spieth and JT are
(07:14):
yeah, they're two guys you canobviously root for.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
Kepka is on the other
league that I'm not going to
name, but he left the PGA Tour.
Oh we did.
So root for him if you want to,but he's not playing the PGA
Tour.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
No, that answers that
.
I'm glad I asked you haven'tgone there, yet he's in the
majors.
No, they introduced the otherleague, but I didn't know that
he had left yet.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
No, they don't admit
to anything in season one.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
yet I can't remember
they yet?
no, they don't admit to anythingin season one.
Yet they like remember, theylike allude to it, they say like
they start to bring it up, butthey don't really get into it
too much.
But where I'm at, he hasbasically like he was on fire.
He won four majors right, that's the title in one year and
then he was like going foranother one, but he didn't even
so.
I didn't even know this.
(08:04):
You have to, I guess, in atournament and Taylor, let me
know what I'm saying wrong here, cause I'm sure I am but like in
a tournament, you have tobasically like make it through
the first half to even get paidor you walk away with nothing.
And the episode I see, hewalked away with nothing, he
like totally tanks.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
Yeah, that's correct.
So a typical professional golftournament is four days,
thursday through sunday, andthere's a cut after the friday
round.
So, um, the pga tour it's top65 players and ties, so usually
75 ish guys might make theweekend and so when you make the
weekend you do get a paycheck.
(08:43):
But if you don't, then you, youwalk away with nothing.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
That's where I left
off.
He walked away with nothing, sowe're not into him.
My personal favorite right now.
I'm all about JT, yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
Yeah.
I was going to say, I feel likeyou would love Spieth and JT
because they're like buddies andbesties too.
Oh my God.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
I love those fellas
busties too.
Oh my god, I love those fellas.
Love those fellas.
They're out there just likeplaying each other for, oh,
they're so cute, like, just forlike prop bets.
I was all about them.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
I'm rooting for those
two and if you watch, if you do
watch, happy go more too.
They both have cameos in itdoes that movie good?
I feel like I've heard it wasnot good I think you have to
take it with a grain of salt, but I think it was better.
I probably had very lowexpectations, so I think it was
better.
I probably had very lowexpectations, so I think it was
better than I thought it was.
And they have, like Alex, something is like 65 different
(09:29):
cameos in it.
Alex Earl is actually, I think,in it briefly.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
Oh damn, and you
talked about it last week or
last episode.
Yeah, yeah, I'm more and moreinclined to watch it the more I
hear about it and now that Iknow that my guy, my main man,
jt, justin Thomas because Iwatch golf now is in it, like
say less in there.
Speaker 2 (09:47):
Yeah, and Taylor told
us to watch it.
So Taylor Swift.
Speaker 1 (09:51):
We have two Taylors
born in 1989 telling us to watch
this, so we can't refuse.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
Yeah, exactly, it
gets a little confusing too
who's your favorite golfer.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
I mean I like Rory
McIlroy.
When he won Augusta this yearfor the masters, it was just
like yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
I was happy for him.
Speaker 3 (10:11):
Like I was, like I
almost got tears in my eyes just
because of, like seeing thatrelief on his face.
He worked so hard to toaccomplish that.
I love, I love.
I've always loved speed toothough.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
Well, what was Rory's
deal?
I knew it was a big deal thathe won.
Speaker 3 (10:28):
There's four majors
in professional golf, and when
you win all four, you'vecompleted the Grand Slam.
That needs a better name um, he,rory had so much success in
(10:52):
their like 2010 through 2015.
He won.
He won three out of those fourmajors then and then he just had
this 11 year gap where he couldnot win augusta to complete
that, that foursome.
So this is the year when hefinally did it, and there's I I
should know this, but I forgetthe number but there's like only
four or five other players inthe history of golf who have the
grand slam tiger woods, yes gorory, yeah I know I was, and
(11:20):
rory is, uh, the namesake oftaylor's kitty, rory, and he's
ir Irish.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
I mean, we love the
Irish.
I know well, so you haven't gotto.
There's like the Ryder Cup partand he's on the European team.
There's like the US team, theEuropean team.
I thought that was the bestpart of the documentary oh no, I
definitely like it had meinterested.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
I didn't.
I learned so much about golf.
I didn't realize just how crazylike it can change from one day
to the other.
Speaker 3 (11:46):
No, I know that's why
full swing is great, because it
gets a non-golfer like you, kristen and Brittany too you
don't golf, but interested inwho these players are.
So I think that was one of thereasons why it's been on for
three seasons now.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
Totally.
What advice would you givesomeone trying to get into
sports marketing?
Very difficult.
Speaker 3 (12:11):
Oh, the normal, like
definitely networking.
I hate, hate to say that, butit is such a small.
It is such a small industrywith, like it's so competitive
that if you do know that oneperson who can maybe get help
you, get you know your resume infront of the right people, that
obviously helps and that's, Iwould think, with any other, any
(12:33):
other job that's competitive.
The other thing I would say ismake sure you like what you,
what you're doing for your job,not just that it's in sports but
on a day to day basis.
Do you actually like what you'redoing?
Because otherwise you know it'syou're going to be like.
I hate this.
I don't care that it's in.
Yeah, it's not as good as itprobably seems Like this is
(12:55):
boring or, yeah, this is not fun.
So those are probably the twothings I would say.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
When did you first
start playing golf?
I don't think I even knew,because I knew you played when
you were younger.
But when did you start start?
Speaker 3 (13:07):
my dad started having
me take lessons at like the age
of six or seven just with ourat our local club, and then the
club I grew up on has a littlenine hole course.
So that was like actually hugeand making me kind of like it
more because you were playingmini holes and more tailored to,
(13:29):
obviously, kids.
So, yeah, it made that muchmore likable because I wasn't
taking like seven shots to getto the green, it was normal like
two or three so Taylor's dadmight be slightly more obsessed
with golf even than my dad, kristen, which will kind of
surprise you honestly for yeah, knowing that is, but that's
awesome uh oh, and you just wona championship, didn't you?
Speaker 2 (13:51):
Was it the
father-daughter?
I know you've won the clubchampionship at your course.
Yeah, no, the women's clubchampionship.
Speaker 3 (13:57):
My dad and I just won
the father-daughter up at
Winchester.
We won it last year too.
We just won again.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
Let's go, I love that
, but we're going to go next
year.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
Fun 18 holes.
Taylor sent a picture of herand her dad.
Or maybe it was your mom, Idon't know, but your dad, like I
, have never seen him, lookedhappier.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
He just loves winning
everyone at the club just will
like congratulate him and talkto him about it, and he's like I
mean, yeah, it's because Taylorcan hit the ball really well,
so I'm in positions that I amnever in in a good way.
Yeah, he likes it.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
Cool, I feel like
we've done most of our golf
questions.
I guess my only other questionabout golf is like what's like?
Will you just give us like alittle like spiel of like what's
going on in the world of golfright now?
That will make us sound smartto boys.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
No, oh my God, yes.
Now that will make us soundsmart to boys.
No, oh my God, yes.
Like what can we bring back?
Yes?
Speaker 3 (14:53):
I need this.
So the first thing is so there'sa difference between so I work
at the PGA tour, which is likethe tour of professional
tournaments for our professionalmembers.
But then there's also the PGAof America, which is based in
Dallas, texas, and they are likethe organization that
(15:14):
represents like your local golfgolfer, teaching professionals.
So if you went to a you knowclub and needed lessons like,
that teacher is probably a PGAprofessional and he's been
certified, you know, atdifferent levels to teach the
game of golf to you.
So a lot of people always getthat confused.
(15:36):
It's the PGA Tour and then thePGA of America.
So now tour players can bemembers of the PGA of America,
but you won't see many PGA ofAmerica professionals playing on
our tour unless they get aspecial exemption or something.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
So the tour is where
you want to be.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
The tour is all the,
all the big names that you know,
like they're the ones they'replaying on tour.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
So we should ask like
oh, are they on tour?
Like if someone's a golfer,we'd be like oh, are they on?
Speaker 3 (16:05):
tour, yeah, or how.
How are they doing?
How are they doing on tour thisseason, or something?
Because, they probably.
Yeah, if they're a bigger name,are there?
Any more big majors no nomajors are done this season yeah
, that was my second thing therider cup, which you are
watching about season season oneof full swing is coming up.
(16:26):
Uh, september 26th through the28th, that's the usa versus
europe.
Um you'll like that one held atbeth page black, which is in new
york this year, so you canimagine what the crowds are
going to be like.
Yeah, and the rider cup happensevery two years in 2020 and it
flip-flops between a us site anda european site.
(16:47):
So in 20, it's actually beingheld in Adair Manor in Ireland,
which is like a beautiful coursefrom what I've seen Like
gorgeous, basically like acastle for like a clubhouse.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
Damn.
Speaker 3 (17:02):
Yeah, imagine that.
And the US has not done toowell in the past couple of Ryder
Cups.
They've only won two of thelast seven.
What?
Speaker 2 (17:11):
Oh damn, hopefully
B&B will help them.
Speaker 3 (17:13):
This year, keegan
Bradley is the captain and he's
the one who gets to pick sixmore players in addition to six
auto qualifiers.
Oh, and the question thateveryone's talking about is is
he going to be a playing captain?
So will he be a captain, butwill he also play?
(17:37):
Oh, and he gets to decide thathe picks, he gets to decide yeah
, if he feels like he's reallyplaying well enough and he can
also kind of do captaincy duties, then he'll play, which will
create some controversy, asshould he have chosen another
player who might be, you know,on a hot streak and can help
contribute.
So we'll see.
It's coming.
The decision is definitelycoming up very soon.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
That's definitely
going to be on the next, the
next season.
That's definitely gonna be abig storyline.
Speaker 1 (18:02):
That's a storyline
for sure.
First off, love the name Keegan.
Second, why?
How did this man get to becaptain if he's not even like
auto-qualified to play?
Speaker 3 (18:19):
They usually choose
somebody who has experience you
know has been on a previous teambefore.
You know was he a vice captainin previous years Somebody who
you know the players will listento.
Yeah, it's like a veteran.
Speaker 2 (18:27):
They talk about it on
the show, like how they pick
them yeah, a veteran.
They talk about it on the showlike how they pick.
Speaker 3 (18:29):
Yeah, a veteran guy
and he.
He may have been a little bitof a surprise pick by some, but
you know, I don't think anybodyreally knew how well he was
actually going to do this season, so that he's suddenly in this
position to possibly play, can'tpredict who's the european?
Captain luke donald.
He's a european player.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
Yeah, okay, snitches.
So another little snippet here.
You can say oh, who's keeganchoosing to play on the rider
cop team is he gonna play or ishe not?
Right, right, right, is heplaying, is he not?
Yeah, totally okay, got itnailed it.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
Yeah, wait yeah so
those are my two, my two things
I think that you can talk about.
Speaker 2 (19:08):
I love that for us.
Yeah, kristen, you should keepwatching full swing because I
now that I'm like thinking aboutit, my two things I think that
you can talk about.
I love that for us.
Yeah, kristen, you should keepwatching full swing because I
now that I'm like thinking aboutit, you'll like it.
The rider part, the rider cuppart, is the best.
I think that's why I fell offin season three, cause like
there wasn't anything like that.
But like all the guys like lovebeing on it, because it's like
a team, like it's the only timethey get to compete as a team
and like you know, there's likethe rivalry Europe and the US
(19:31):
and like obviously they get toplay at like the sickest courses
.
So it's like the tournament.
I mean, at least I think Taylor, you can correct me if I'm
wrong but it's like the one thatthey all want to be a part of.
Speaker 3 (19:42):
Yeah, I mean anyone.
Anyone who has a Ryder cupattached to their name, you know
, in the history of golf has hassome cred to them.
So I think it's definitelyanother, along with winning a
major.
I think being on the Ryder Cupis something that players always
aspire to, aspire to do.
Speaker 1 (19:58):
Wait, this might be
like the perfect intro to golf.
I'm going to watch full swingand then, once the Ryder Cup
comes along, I'm going to betotally ready and I'm obviously
rooting America.
And now we'll know who theplayers are and who's on the
team.
Oh my God, I'm so excited aboutthis.
Yeah, okay, great, stay tuned.
Late September, I will betexting you, taylor, because I'm
full in.
(20:18):
I'm full in.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
September 26th, right
26th through the 28th Yep.
Speaker 3 (20:24):
Mark your calendar
stitches.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
All right, let's move
on to our next little section
parenting.
What have you found mostchallenging about being?
Speaker 3 (20:33):
a first time parent
Figuring out what she wants when
she cries, that's for sure.
Now she's such a good baby, I'mnot complaining.
She, like, rarely cries.
Even the teachers at herdaycare are like she never cries
.
So when she does, you know thatsomething is bothering her.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
but what is that like
?
Speaker 3 (20:48):
that is yeah, um, and
then you know just doing
everything for her that sheneeds, you know feeding her,
changing her, doing her lawn, like everything that just needs
to be done when you have a babybecause she can't do anything
herself.
Speaker 1 (21:05):
Yeah, and also trying
to balance that with what you
need too did, I would just hearbritney say you're their slave
no, you literally are.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
I'm still connor
entire slave.
We call connor his majestybecause he's like mama, get me
juice, get me juice, get me this.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
He's adorable
hilarious yeah, but his favorite
thing to do is order peoplearound I've heard, like you get
to almost a place, you guys feellike this, that you almost
start to differentiate theircries, like you can.
Like I've heard some people saythis that sometimes they, like
babies, have different cries fordifferent things, or is that
just like a myth to me?
Speaker 3 (21:45):
that's a myth yeah,
at least when they're really
little a cry is a cry.
Yeah, cry is a cry.
I mean, if olivia's crying, she's either hungry she probably
needs to burp, or she might betired, I guess.
But yeah, I don't think Ireally differentiate her cries
that's actually like a relief tohear.
I feel like that would be a lotyeah, no, you already think
(22:06):
about way too much.
Don't try to.
Yeah, no, you're alreadythinking about way too much.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
Don't try to analyze
a two-month-old's cry.
Totally, yeah, I feel like itis crazy and I think your mom
said this to me, taylor.
It's crazy how much you get toknow them.
You know them so well.
I have a freaking doctorate inConnor and Tyler.
You know what I mean.
It's crazy just from spendingtime with them or, yeah, they'll
say words Connor used to sayhopaa and people will be like
(22:31):
what's that?
I'm like football, like I justunderstand his language, like I
just know him.
Tyler calls fruit snacks nana.
So if Tyler starts saying nana, nana, that means fruit snack,
things like that.
Speaker 3 (22:45):
So that's fun.
I'm not there yet.
She's just starting to babblesaying like that, that, that,
that, so that's fun, I'm notthere yet.
She's just starting to babblesaying like that, that, that,
that.
So we'll see what her firstword is oh, that's exciting.
She's so cute yeah, she's agood, she's a really good baby
and she's she's moving up to hernext like classroom on monday.
She's going wow one to infanttwo.
(23:08):
Let's go girl, go girl, goOlivia.
I peeked in the window of theclassroom two weeks ago or
something.
Oh my God, chaos, because allthe babies can move around now.
Her current one everyone justsits there nicely in their
little seats and then listens.
Oh my God, the next one chaos.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
Oh yeah she's gonna
be like trying to walk.
Yeah, she sees all the otherkids there's.
Speaker 3 (23:33):
You know it's gonna
be like nine, nine month olds
are there who could definitelycrawl and are probably half
standing and stuff.
So yeah, and there she is.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
She'll just be like
sitting there, good as gold yeah
, I've definitely said this toyou brit like once your kiddos
start going to like daycare, preschool, whatever you're like,
oh my God, what do they do?
They're living their own littlelives in the world.
How are they doing, how arethey managing on their own?
I mean literally aneight-month-old, it's a little
different, but I feel like onceyou start hitting preschool, I'm
(24:01):
like, oh my gosh, how are theyhandling the world on their own?
It's so weird yeah.
Speaker 2 (24:07):
I always tell people
Chris has a friend from college
and they live in New York Citybut their daycare, I'm sure it's
extremely expensive, but theyhave like a camera on the kids
so the parents can just go onand watch this live feed.
It's like the Big Brother thingyou watch, kristen, it's like a
live feed of daycare.
I was like I would literallywatch it all day long.
(24:27):
I wouldn't do any work.
Speaker 3 (24:29):
Oh, that'd be
stressful for me.
We just get up like a picture aday or something.
Oh my God, a video would be sostressful.
I'd be like she's crying, goget her.
Or like, yeah, that's good, like feed her more food or
something I don't know.
So yeah, that's a lot.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
My screen time would
be through the frigging roof.
With that, I would have thatthing on all the time.
Speaker 2 (24:47):
Yeah, I would just
want to know, like if they had
friends who they were playingwith.
Yeah, all right, our nextparent question what's the most
rewarding thing about being afirst time parent?
Speaker 3 (24:56):
Definitely just
watching her like learn new
things.
Yeah, love to make her laugh, love when she laughs.
And I love getting her up inthe morning, like no matter how
bad the night was before.
If it was, I mean, she sleptthrough the night last night.
But you know, if we have a bad,you know if we have a bad night
(25:17):
still got to get her up at 7,7.15 and get her ready for
school and she'll just look atyou and smile and just be so
happy to see you, and that'swhen I have the most energy.
So I'm like, yay, a new day, ready to get it started, and,
yeah, I just love waking her up.
That's a good one.
Speaker 1 (25:38):
Stassi Schroeder said
once she was like my two
favorite parts of the day arelike putting the kids to bed,
but then also like getting themup.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
I love putting Olivia
to bed so that I can just
Netflix and chill, but I alsolove getting up in the morning
yeah, it is nice getting them upin the morning, but it's so
great putting them to bed.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
um, all right, let's
get to the fun stuff Taylor.
So top three Taylor songs andfavorite albums.
I guess this is a multitude ofquestions.
Speaker 3 (26:08):
Okay, my top three
songs, I would say, are I Knew
you Were Trouble Really.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
Yes, I always think
of you for that one.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
I've been obsessed
with that song since it came out
.
Speaker 1 (26:18):
Yes, okay, style
Number one on my list Respect.
Speaker 3 (26:28):
I really like Daddy,
daddy, I love him.
Oh, I do too.
That's.
And then fave albums, 1989 andrep.
Solid, so solid.
What are your favoriteperformances?
So don't blame me from the reptour.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
And Eras and Eras.
Speaker 3 (26:44):
But like when you
first saw it on the Rep Tour.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
Yeah, it's a little
longer too.
Speaker 3 (26:48):
So cool.
I really like, just like yourcousin Kristen, look what you
Made Me Do on the Eras Tour.
Yes, I feel like really likebased it up and made it so much
like heavier or something.
Yes, yeah, I really liked thatone and then okay.
So this is like kind of outthere.
But when she did the victoria'ssecret fashion show and saying
(27:13):
she's in trouble.
Speaker 2 (27:14):
Oh trouble she had,
like the.
It wasn't that carly cost with.
Speaker 3 (27:18):
She walks with carly
navy and fallout boy yes, oh
yeah with her and she was in thebritish flag like dress.
Oh my god, she's amazing.
Wait what a pick.
Yes, yes, that's what we want.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
Really like that one
yes, I forgot about that one.
That outfit was so sick.
Oh, she looks so good, so goodall right.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
Last but not least,
tell us about your draft picks.
Tell us what you would draft.
I guess it's not totally fairbecause there's not actually a
draft, but yeah, I assumed I'mnot gonna get like style all too
well 10.
Speaker 3 (27:54):
You know all those
top ones together so I did uh
trouble.
I did out of the woods.
Cornelia Love, I can do it witha broken heart.
Love that one Daylight.
I really like daylight whenever.
Speaker 1 (28:10):
I'm here.
I love daylight too.
There's like a certain part ofdaylight that's just such a bop,
it's like when she's startingto do the like I once believed
love would be.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
Yes, you know that
part is so sick it's burning.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
Oobrit, oobrit, it's
burning, ubre, ubre.
Hit that note, girl.
Speaker 3 (28:27):
I hear you the
talking part at the end is weird
, though I don't know if I likethat part 100% agree, that's how
she ends the album.
I'm like okay.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
Daddy, I love him.
Speaker 3 (28:38):
Midnight.
Speaker 1 (28:39):
Rain.
I love that one.
Speaker 3 (28:40):
Her performance on
Erector was cool how she changed
into the new outfit, last Kiss.
Last Kiss always reminds me ofit was when I was studying
abroad in Madrid, and I wasalways listening to the album
when I commuted on the subway tomy class.
So somehow Last Kiss wouldalways come on right as I was
(29:01):
walking to the class and it wasjust, I don't't know.
It's like that period of time.
Yeah, it reminds me of that.
Uh, tears ricochet solelybecause it was eras tour
performance like yeah, I likedit before, but totally changed
the song for me.
Speaker 1 (29:18):
You're not sorry,
throwback wow yeah, that's one
of my favorites now thatyou're're saying these like,
yeah, I can.
That's what a top one to singin the car.
Speaker 3 (29:29):
Yeah, oh it's.
If you just need, yeah, something to just be sad about
and just yell at, or?
Speaker 2 (29:36):
whatever You're not,
and the Taylor's version is
really good.
I feel like it's like betterthan the first version.
Speaker 3 (29:43):
Is it over now?
Speaker 1 (29:45):
Oh yeah, oh, we love
that one that made my list.
Speaker 2 (29:48):
Yeah, we love that
one.
Speaker 3 (29:49):
Down Bad.
Speaker 2 (29:51):
That's my jam.
Speaker 3 (29:52):
Yeah, and I really
like Red.
Speaker 1 (29:57):
Yeah, oh, solid.
I have a very flashbulb memoryof listening to Red for the
first time in the Manconi'shouse on the couch, like I have
a very, very vivid of listeningto that for the first time,
being like, oh wow, this is likedifferent for her because it
was like the first time that shewent away from country.
Speaker 3 (30:12):
yeah, um, yeah, maybe
that's why I like trouble so
much too is because it was likeso the first three songs on red
are, like you know, still kindof have that country vibe.
But then you just yeah troubleand it's like, oh okay, this is
pop now um can I?
ask you.
I want to ask you guys onequestion too.
Oh yeah, okay, so we obviouslydid the whole eras tour for a
(30:36):
year and a half, but that kindof came about because, uh, kind
of covid hit, and so would yourather have had the Eris tour,
like we did, or have individualconcerts for each album, like
she was doing previously, likeevery two and a half years?
What?
Speaker 1 (30:56):
a great time, so like
Lover.
Speaker 3 (30:57):
Folklore, evermore
Midnights, and then TTPD now.
Speaker 1 (31:03):
Okay.
So I think I would say I'mgonna stick with eras solely
because I feel like she wouldn'thave even come out with
folklore and evermore, had itnot been for covid, like she
would have just done the loverfest thing.
I feel like we wouldn't havehad the amount of music that she
gave us in that time, so I'mgonna stick with Arras for that
reason, however, would I haveloved to see more shows for sure
(31:27):
.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
Yeah um, I would say
I'm greedy and I would like to
have more shows.
I think she is happy that shedid the Arras tour, so I'm happy
for her for that.
But yeah, I mean I would liketo have more shows and but the
Arras tour I mean the Arras touris awesome.
It also became like I feel likemade it become like cool to be
a swifty it was a culturalmoment, like it?
(31:48):
yeah, like it was like a lotbroader, like her fan base grew
a ton because of that.
But like, to me that's like notall a positive thing.
I mean it's positive in thesense for taylor she totally
deserves it.
Speaker 3 (31:59):
But like the ticket
prices, come on yeah and now
we're never going to be able toget tickets again for her
concerts, right?
It's like everyone wants to goyeah, I.
Speaker 1 (32:10):
What do you think,
taylor?
What do you think on theheiress tour thing?
Speaker 3 (32:12):
well, I, I would
choose the heiress tour.
Speaker 1 (32:14):
I think oh my god, I
love that you asked us a
question yeah, that was a goodone wait, this was so much fun,
taylor.
Thank you so much for coming onthe pod, did you like?
Speaker 3 (32:23):
