Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ready, ready.
Hey, everyone, welcome back tothe latest episode of Snitchin'
it's your host, kristen, andBrittany, get ready for the best
part of your day Happy.
Friday snitches we made itanother week down.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Another week down.
How was your?

Speaker 1 (00:20):
week, britt, last couple days.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
I mean, not much has happened since Wednesday.
I did one little funny story.
I went to the office yesterdayand it was like cute I was, I
was on a train, I get on atSouth Station, so I was waiting
on the train to like go and gohome and like this, two moms and
like probably four or fivelittle girls came on and they
were all like probably ages likeyou know, seven to 10 or

(00:45):
whatever, and like I was sittingin a seat and I was like oh, do
you want me to move Becausethere was like so many of them.
The moms were like we have beentalking about who is going to
sit where on this train home theentire day, like if they have
it all figured out.
I was like that is such afemale thing, oh, my God, that
screams yes, such a female thing.

(01:08):
Such a female thing and like, yeah, there was one girl who was
next to me and her mom and shewas all upset, blah, blah, blah,
and it was just like I was like, wow, sometimes that's when I'm
like, oh God, I don't have todeal with that with boys.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Oh yeah, they don't, they do not care.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Boys don't do that.
Yeah, hilarious, it was funny, but then, yeah, but then I just
blasted my music and I waslistening to Megan's playlist
and it is so good.
Have you listened?
Yeah, I've listened to a littlebit, but not enough.
Well, everyone should listenbecause it's just a great mix.
It's a ton of artists.
I feel like it's like a lot ofsongs, I know.

(01:42):
Like you know, you don't want aplaylist where you don't know
any songs, right.
So I know like a lot of thesongs, but then it's also like a
lot of artists, I know, butlike songs I don't know and like
, yeah, like there were some.
I was like like Halsey.
I was like, oh, I never reallylistened to her, she's good.
Or like Lady Gaga, I'm like, wow, making, making a playlist
is a skill, so props, megan.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Honestly, that makes me so happy.
Shout out, cousin, she'sdefinitely going to hear this.
I'm seeing her later todayactually, but she is.
I mean, that's what I told you.
She knows so much music, justlike naturally.
Yeah, and it's funny.
I had a feeling when I told her, when I texted her to make that
playlist, that she would loveit and literally like an hour
later she's like I'm loving this.

(02:24):
She has like 17 questions.
She's like okay, so what do wewant for?
Da-da-da-da?
I'm like girl, you do you?
Literally?

Speaker 2 (02:30):
whatever you want.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
There's no rules, no rules, no rules here.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
But how was your day?
How was the?

Speaker 1 (02:36):
concert.
Yeah, speaking of music, I went, which I mean, like Dizzy Up
the Girl, I think that came outlate 90s.
That album, oh man, I listenedto that so much when I was
younger.
Yeah, it did not disappoint.
So Slide is probably myfavorite Goo Goo Doll song, or
it's like the one that I alwaysdefault to and, not gonna lie,
like that wasn't the best one.

(02:57):
He was trying to really, I knowit was a little bit of a
disappointment, but it's okay.
He was almost trying to likemake it unique live, like he was
not singing it in the same likecadence that it is on the on
the record and like sometimes Ilike when artists do that they
try to switch it up and, youknow, do a little different live
version, but it depends on theartist.

(03:19):
Yeah, and the song and the song.
But this is what we weretalking about when we talked
about how we went to the 98degreesegrees Dream Ryan Cabrera
O-Town concert and how it wasepic.
They didn't do that, like theyknow what the people want.
They want to see oh, they didn'tsing the songs that people want
.
No, they did.
I'm just saying, like the slide, they like changed it, you know

(03:39):
.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Oh, oh yeah, and they people what they?

Speaker 1 (03:41):
want.
Yeah, like, let's give it theoriginal version.
That's what I'm here for.
I want to sing along.
So that was the only likeblemish, I would say.
But the rest of the show wasawesome.
They sounded really, reallygood and like just so many
bangers um broadway.
Do you remember broadway?
Yep, oh, broadway.
I hadn't heard that in so long.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Black Balloon I think my favorite is oh yeah, black
Balloon's good.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Name I like Iris.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Name, I like name, I like Iris.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
So good and he did like an acoustic name, so that
was, that was cool, so yeah, sothat was great.
But then also I didn't realizethat the opener was Dashboard
Confessional.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Wait, that's unreal.
I saw that on Instagram and Iwas like you didn't tell me that
I didn't even know.
That's like just as good.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
I know.
Do you remember when we went tosee them in high school, we
went to Rhode Island.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Yeah, we went to Rhode Island, I don't remember
where.
I remember it was like a littletheater.
It was like a little theaterSomeone got engaged.
Someone got engaged during oneof the songs, like one of the
big songs, I forget which one.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
I will tell you which one Brittany, because I was
brought right back to thatmoment, stolen.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Oh, I love Stolen.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Oh, my God, I forgot about that song.
I know, I know the nostalgiawas next level.
The drive back the next day wasa top tier drive back.
I was sending it because, like, okay, I'm just gonna read you
off some of the songs that youprobably forgot about, or at
least I forgot about I know I'mlooking at dashboard on my
spotify right now while you're,so go ahead stolen um that one
vindicated oh, love that one.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
It was on the spider-man soundtrack yeah, I
know that one from theSpider-Man soundtrack because
Connor likes that movie.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
Great taste Hands down.
That's like the classic.
We know that one.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
I feel like that was like their biggest right, that
was their biggest.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Also.
That was, like I think, theirfirst.
I looked up when that, becausewhen I was listening to it in
the car I looked up when thatalbum came out.
It was 2003.
So cost of middle school, highschool for us, but then also
screaming infidelities, yeah, that was a big one.
I totally spaced that one.
So when they played that I waslike, wow, there was also a few

(05:55):
that they played like ghost of agood thing was one I recognized
, but some like I just you.
It was weird how that thinghappens where you just
automatically start singingbecause you know the song.
You know like when you andyou're like, oh, I know this,
and you're singing the lyricsand I'm like what song is that?
That happened so much.
But okay, I know that you knewthis one.
When we were younger, on theway home they didn't play this,

(06:16):
but do you remember the song aslovers go?

Speaker 2 (06:19):
I feel like I know the name now, but I feel like I
need to listen to it.
How does it go Sing?

Speaker 1 (06:24):
it.
It's like this is easy aslovers go, so don't complicate
it by hesitating no, okay, no,no, well, okay, run, don't walk
after this to go listen to aslovers go.
It's so good.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
Oh, yay, I know Megan's got me all into.
Like the artists, I know newsongs vibe so yeah, that's right
on track.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
It's right on track.
So yeah, it's going to be amusical weekend.
But I was thinking, like theguy from Dashboard he's 50 years
old and he looked Wow, I know, and he sounded really good and
he was doing the full screaming, you know lyrics thing.
I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
I mean they're probably hanging on.
I don't know if they've comeout with new music since 2007.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
I don't think so.
But I was saying to Apoorva I'mlike this is honestly the best.
This must be like the most funtour of their lives, because
it's like a victory lap.
You know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
Like they kind of know that they're on the back
half of their career, likethey're just it's fun.
Now, yeah, that must be fun.
I feel like that's a good gigtoo, cause they're probably just
like can kind of do what theywant and just travel around and
have fun Totally.
Wait, that's sick.
I can't believe.
You saw dashboard, I know itwas it was.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
It was so great, um, but speaking of music, another
thing that we have to talk aboutand I know that you, because
you texted me that you watchedit last night oh, uconn, yes, so
justin bieber's new uh musicvideo for uconn is out and it's
featuring his family, baby, baby, jack and Jack and Haley.
What did you think?

(08:05):
I thought it was boring as fuck.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
I was like the song is only like it's a short song,
it's only like three minutes, and like halfway in I was like
holy shit, I'm only halfwaythrough this, like is it over
yet?

Speaker 1 (08:19):
No, honestly same.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
Like I mean, and I like that song song.
It's right after daisy, so likeI listen to it a lot and I like
the song, um, but like when hewas on the boat by himself doing
like that those dance moves, they were like kind of
intentionally bad.
But I was like justin, what areyou doing?
You're like a great dancer, that's like one of your biggest
strengths, but you're dancinglike a.

(08:42):
What are you doing, dude?
He's like dancing like an idiot.
I'm just like what are youdoing?
I don't know.
I mean, and like the thingabout like showing the kid.
It's like I get it ifcelebrities like obviously you
know we want to see thecelebrities kid, but like I get
it that they want to hide them, whatever.
But like I feel like it's likethen don't put them in the video

(09:02):
at all, like don't put him inbut have like blatantly like his
face covered, like the partwhere, like hayley's holding him
, there's like rain on thecamera in front of his face.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
It's like, not like tease but you know what I mean.
I do know what you mean.
I like I love a music video,but I want a production, a high
quality production music videowhere there's like a plot and a
storyline.
Yeah, music videos that justare showing the singer singing
it and like basically what thisis, because so it's like black
and white, they're on a yachtand yeah, it's like him dancing

(09:34):
by himself in front of like thecamera, but it's not like full
dance moves, it's like littlemovements that are just kind of
like whatever.
And then, yeah, like shots ofbaby Jack's like body, but not
his face, like Brittany said andHaley, but yeah, it's like
there's no, like you're notfollowing along to anything, so
it just gets old quick.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
Yeah, and I feel like it's like the video should kind
of help you understand the songmore.
Yeah, and it didn't.
Yeah, like what is that songabout?
No clue.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
I know, well, it's so funny.
You say that because I waslistening to it and I'm like
what is that about?
I think it's like a love song,because he's saying, like what
would I do if I didn't have you?
You know, yeah, but yeah, Iagree, not not my favorite video
.
I probably will never watch itagain.
That song is also interestingbecause the first time I heard
it like it's one of those songswhere the voice is so obviously
edited, not like well, is it him?
That's what I'm saying like Ithink so, I think so.

(10:31):
I just think that theyliterally have like filtered the
voice, so it's different.
Yeah, on apple music.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
It would say if there was another vocalist, hold on
because, yeah, like there's noone else like credited, like I
feel like there's other songswhere it's like featuring
so-and-so, featuring so-and-soso like I would think they would
say featuring so-and-so, but.
And the other thing is, it'slike if that's another person
like justin bieber is barely inthat song well, no, it says okay

(10:57):
.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
So apple music performing artists.
Oh, this is interesting.
So justin bieber is vocals.
Guess who is background vocalscredited on this song?
It's an artist, two Chains,what.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
Random, so random.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
Oh, you know what, Also, now that we're looking at
it okay, I had seen this beforeand I just forgot about it.
I was looking at the producerson this album and Marshall
Mathers, aka Eminem, is creditedfor being a producer on this
song.
Oh, wow, I know, I looked it up.
I think it's because they used.
It was almost like rememberwhen Olivia Rodrigo kind of

(11:35):
sampled some of Taylor andParamore's things.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
Any Year's Day.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
Yeah, I think it was a similar situation.
I don't think he actually hadany involvement in the true
production, but that they justcredited him.
But yeah, wow, two chainsdidn't have that on my bingo
card.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
So it seems like he is singing.
It's just like auto-tuned.
Yeah Weird, he sounds like agirl it's.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
I had the same thought.
I was like this.
And then I thought, well, thesame thought, I was like this.
And then I thought what wouldthat sound like live?
Oh true, yeah.
How would they even sing itlive?
I feel like he wouldn't be ableto.
I don't know, but I will say.
When I was watching this video,it is so apparent to me, these
two, their love language, likejustin bieber's love language,
is physical touch.
Every time that I see these twoin the public, they're just

(12:25):
like touching each other.
24 7.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
Yeah, yeah, I mean, I guess.
So, yeah, no, it's 100.
Yeah, it makes sense, it makessense yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
So now that you've like, we've had swag the album
for a while, do you have anylike?
I feel like when we firsttalked about it, we both said we
like da.
We first talked about it, weboth said we like daisies.
Um, I remember we both said welike 405.
I don't really listen to thatone anymore.
I don't listen to that one asmuch either.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
Yeah, but I still listen to it what would you?

Speaker 1 (12:55):
are there any like new favorites, that you've had
some time with the album, orlike what?
What are some of the top onesnow that we've had a few weeks?

Speaker 2 (13:04):
I feel like butterflies has emerged for me.
Britney, that one.
Oh, you like that one too.
Let's same girl.
Same girl, let's go um.
I still love daisies.
Same um.
Oh, I like the way it is.
That's just the way it is.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
You know that one so you know what actually, I don't
love that one.
That's a skip for me yeah, it'sa little more like rappy yeah
um, and I like the first onestill, and I, I like Yukon yeah,
I would say right now, likeDaisies is my first I go to,
sometimes like so the first oneon the album all I can take.
I still like it, but, like alot of times, I just go straight

(13:41):
to Daisies and then I'll listento Yukon Butterflies and then
the other one that I love.
It might be my top.
I like it more than Yukon isfirst place.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
Yeah oh yeah, I like that one too.
I always forget about that one.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
It's kind of like squished in the middle.
Yeah, it's so fun, it's so funto dance to, yeah, so I think
the album is good.
Oh, yeah, me too, I think II've been like it's been in my
rotation, like it hasn't reallyleft since it yeah it's stuck
around?

Speaker 2 (14:11):
yeah, for sure.
But yeah, make better videos, justin, just like more effort
here.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
Yeah, it took you four years to do this album.
Let's you know, let's get someproduction value on these music
videos we want to see Likewhat's?
I can't remember any of his oldones.
Oh well, sorry, obviously Sorry.
Iconic, yeah, iconic, just dothat.
He's not even in it, he's noteven in it.

Speaker 2 (14:33):
Yeah, you don't even have to do anything, justin,
where's the choreographer?
Yeah, seriously, get thosegirls back, oh my God, get.
Imagine if he did like another, like another one with them.
That would be so good, oh myGod.

Speaker 1 (14:46):
Our heads would explode.
You took the words out of mymouth.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
Like our heads would explode.
That that would be so fun yeah, okay.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
So I was sick on monday, like we recorded on
monday, and then that rest ofthat afternoon I was just like
out for the count, um, andtuesday I was still kind of like
recovering too, and I feel likeI've just been chronically
online more than normal.
I'm already online all the time.
Yeah, I have I.
Just I there's a few things Ineed to say and then we can go

(15:16):
into it.
So I have a new coupleobsession.
Oh boy, I just need to haveeveryone else be aware of this.
If you're looking for a goodnew like scroll, look up Alison
Brie and Dave Franco.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
Do you know who they are?
I know Dave Franco.
He is so cute.
Wait, I'm going to look them upright now.
I don't know her.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
Okay, so she's an actress.
You would know her face.
She was in Mad Men, she was inCommunity.
I don't know if she's done anycrazy movie.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
Oh, I know she was in Mad Men.
I don't see her.
Mad Men's not coming up on herlike movies and shows.
Oh wait, no, it is.
Yeah, I was gonna say likepositive um, but who was she?
I?
Uh, trudy campbell, I onlywatched the first oh, I feel
like that's not a big characterbut yeah mad men's like one of

(16:14):
those shows that's not that goodtoday, like it was good for the
time but don't watch it today.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
I feel like the first season was really good because
it was just fun to see like whatlife was like at that time.
You know like 50s.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
Yeah, they do a great job of like a period.
It's a period piece for sure.
Yeah, that that's the best partabout the show.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
Yeah but I think she was on it for a while like she
was on the full eight years orsomething, but yeah, anywho.
Oh, and then she was in thatshow on netflix glow.
Do you remember that?
It was like the wrestling show.
Wrestling it was, yeah, but itwas a.
It was a fictional show.
It was like she played a femalewrestler, but it wasn't like
true wwe or anything.

(16:53):
And you watched this.
I watched the first season.
It was like it had some legs.
People talked about it.
Um, but anyway, whatever floatsyour boat, I guess so okay, well
, the reason that they're likethe algorithm is showing me them
, is they're promoting this newmovie together, called together.

(17:13):
I think it's's called Togetherand it's like a horror film,
they're in it, they're both init.
Yeah, they play this codependentcouple that it's I mean, it's a
horror movie.
So their bodies, like they likemeet each other and then like
eventually they start likefusing together.
I don't know, it's not a movieyou and I would watch, doesn't
sound like it?
No, definitely not.

(17:37):
But although they have said onI've heard them say this like a
couple of times that a lot ofpeople who are watching it are
like thinking kind of say thatit's a gateway movie into the
genre because it's for horrorjunkies it's got what you want
there, but that it's also verymuch like a rom-com, kind of
like it's about this couplethat's in love.
So you know that's a pitchthat's got me you know, that's a

(17:57):
pitch that's got me.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
I'm like halfway I might watch it.
Yeah, I mean I can.
I can respect like a horrormovie that has like a good you
know mystery to it or somethingsure, yeah, we'll see.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
For me I, if you're gonna say it's like a rom-com,
I'm already, oh yeah, 40 percentmore invested.
Um, yeah, that helps, thathelps even more 1000.
But they're doing a lot ofpress together and I just gotta
say they are so in love, Likethis couple is so in love Every
single time that they're talkingabout one another.
It is so like loving.

(18:25):
And then also he went on, DaveFranco went on Call Her Daddy,
which I listen to, and he wasjust like every single time he
brought her up I was just likemelting.
So he said that like, um, howpeople.
He's like I hate when peopleask me, like, how do you work
with your wife?
He's like because I loveworking with my life.
And he's like I will spin outwhen I'm like.

(18:46):
He's like I wish I could workwith her and everything, Because
, like, if I'm directing or fromacting, it's so easy to like
get insecure and spin out.
And, like every time I'mworking with her, she just like
helps me and reassures me.
I know that's awesome.
Alex Cooper was like who wouldyou put in your blunt rotation?
Like, who would you want tosmoke weed with?
And he's like I hate to say it.
He's like I love smoking weedwith my wife.

(19:07):
He's like that's awesome.
You wouldn't know it becauseshe seems pretty normal.
But he's like every time wesmoke weed, everything I do is
just the best thing that she'sever seen.
I'm just a husband, I'm justthe best.
This he's like it's the bestthing ever, and then you'll,
you'll love this.
He said that when they met.

(19:27):
So they've been together.
I think they said 13 years.
Um damn, apparently he's a hugecat, guy Brittany.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
I love that Wait.
Oh my God, I wonder if James istoo Talk about knowing your
audience.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
I saved that nugget for last.
He said when they met, he hadtwo cats.
When they met, they were huge.
He said that they weren't likeoverfed, they were just
disproportionately large cats.
He said 18-pound cats.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
Whoa See, I don't know anything about if that's a
big cat.
Actually, I think Harry's likeprobably like 16 pounds.

Speaker 1 (20:03):
Yeah, it's going to be pretty big.
Harry's big.
But he said that when theystarted to date he spent a lot
of time at her house and thecats were getting neglected and
he couldn't have that.
So then he had to ask her youknow, can I bring the?

Speaker 2 (20:21):
cats with me to your house so that we could spend
time together.
I knew it, I knew it Okay, I'mwatching the movie I am in now
Sold.
Yes, I knew it.
Yeah, any person that like anycat guy, especially guy like I'm
all for it.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
Yeah, oh, my gosh, all right.
Well, I'm not going to sayanything further.
So go and look up Dave Francoand Alison Brie.
I hope you guys get married andare together forever.
You are so stinking cute andobsessed.

Speaker 2 (20:44):
I wait.
But one thing I just Googledhim Cause I was trying to see
like, what other stuff he's in.
He's 40.
I know she's 42.
Oh, I thought he was likeyounger than us.
I would have thought James waslike 40 and he was like maybe
our age.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
Well, how old is like Jonah Hill.
Look him up.
Oh, I also found out on thatepisode that his best friend is
McLovin in real life.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
Oh my God, I love that even more.
I'm telling you, oh, okay, jonah Hill is 41.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
I feel like that holds how old's James.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
I love all those guys .
I think they're so funny.

Speaker 1 (21:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
I had a big crush 47.
Damn Wow, pushing 50,.
James Franco, he looks good.

Speaker 1 (21:29):
He looks good, but I feel like he does not have a
great reputation.

Speaker 2 (21:32):
No, I feel like I've heard that too.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
I can't remember, like, why doesn't he have like
drunk driving and stuff?
I thought that it was somethingalong the lines of when he was,
like, um, an NYU professor, that there might've been some
like misconduct happening withstudents.
I just know that, seth.
Rogen was his big timecollaborator.
They don't.
They don't work togetheranymore and I feel like they've
distanced themselves.
I remember at one point that'ssketchy.
Yeah, I had looked into it atone point.

(22:01):
I can't remember exactly whathappened, but I feel like he's
had a bit of a fall from grace.
But Dave Franco is pulling theweight for the Franco family
because this boy is so sweet.
I'm obsessed, yeah.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
Yeah, I feel like he's like a cuter, sweeter
version of James 1000%.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
Okay, Two more quick things.
So I just want to say I sawLindsay Lohan is also on the
internet a lot right now becauseshe's promoting the new Freaky
Friday movie.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
Oh yeah, and I she looks so good, she's got a lot
of Botox going on, but otherthan that, a lot.

Speaker 1 (22:32):
Okay, yeah, no for sure, like her face doesn't move
a lot.
But other than that, OK, yeah,no for sure, like her face
doesn't move a lot.
But she looks so good and Ijust want to say like as a girl
who was raised on Parent Trapand honestly mean girls, I'm
happy to see it.
Yeah, she is like aquintessential millennial
quintessential millennial whohad a fall from grace.

(22:54):
Yeah, let's not like amandabines, but she recovered she's
doing so well and I'm so happyabout it, and she lives in dubai
, and oh well, I wonder why shesaid part of the reason she
loves living in dubai is becauseit's illegal to take photos of
someone, anyone that you have toget their permission Like you

(23:17):
cannot just take a photo ofsomebody, so she never has to
deal with paparazzi or privacy.
How do they enforce?

Speaker 2 (23:22):
that.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
I don't know.
Well, you know what, though, when I was in Kenya um they my
tour guide when they picked meup from the airport, they said
like don't take photos on thestreet.
Like if you take certain photosof like government buildings,
or even if you don't even knowwhat you're taking a picture of,
but if it's in the background, like people will come up to you
and you can't do that.
So it's just a cultural thing Ithink Interesting, yeah, so I

(23:45):
saw that.
And then the last thing I saw,and then I'm done, but and then
I'm done, but this feels good.
I mean, I've been holding thisin.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
Wait, I don't get why we had to go through so fast.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
Well, I don't have much else to say about her other
than I'm just so happy for her.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
She didn't have a relationship.

Speaker 1 (24:01):
I forget yeah she's a kid, oh she's married.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
Yeah, oh, she's a kid .
Yes, she's like fully thriving,oh yeah, thriving, oh yeah.
Children, one who's her?
I, I didn't even know she had akid do you remember?

Speaker 1 (24:16):
do you remember the poker scene from the parent trap
?

Speaker 2 (24:20):
yeah, wait, I was that.
It was at camp, right, yes, when they do the yeah, yeah yeah
, and then they pierced her earsand then they pierced her ears
and the camp counter that thecamp counselor was janice from
friends.
Oh shit wait, I didn't evenlike I didn't even know that.

Speaker 1 (24:38):
So that's her only other role yeah, but I feel like
our generation saw that movieand like it made me want to go
to camp.
It made me a twin be a twinplay poker.
I thought it was so cool thatthese girls were like having a
poker face off they had thathandshake.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
Oh, it was like with the butler or whatever.

Speaker 1 (24:59):
Yeah, that was a cool handshake yes, do you like, if
you could have picked the londonlife or the napa life, which
one, hayley or I can't rememberthe other girl, ally?
I think that's hard, maybelondon, I think I'm going napa
yeah, but oh, that's hard topick.
Yeah, it's a hard, it's a hard,hard pick yeah, and I mean also

(25:22):
this is bringing it back towhat we talked about the other
day with liam neeson, becausehis late wife, natasha
richardson, was the mom oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (25:31):
so yeah, an iconic movie and yeah, mean Girls is
iconic.
Freaky Friday I feel like Iwasn't as into, but I remember
it being like big.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
Yeah, I definitely saw it, I definitely saw it yeah
, I definitely saw it.
Chad Michael Murray was in it.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
Oh yeah, I feel like there was a song I liked in it.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
Oh yeah, wait, no, that's so true.
Hold on on, because that's kindof when she was in her like
music era oh, ultimate, oh yeah, that's it.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
You're the ultimate, you wow, haven't thought about
that song in over a decade wait,I'm definitely definitely
listening to that later today.

Speaker 1 (26:13):
Hilarious, put it on megan's playlist yes, for sure
um, so what's the next thing?
Okay, well, the next thing it'sa taylor topic.
So jake shane he hosts thepodcast therapist.
He kind of became big on tiktok.
I love him.
He's hilarious, um, but he's ahuge like Taylor stan.
And he had Selena Gomez on anepisode of his podcast this week

(26:38):
.
She told a story about how herand Taylor they met because they
dated Jonah's brother.
Selena was dating Nick, yeah, yeah yeah, I saw that.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
It was cute.

Speaker 1 (26:47):
It was cute.
The best thing they got out oftheir relationship was each
other.
But then I also thought it wasinteresting.
She said that um, she rememberswhen they first started hanging
out like they were in a hotelroom and um Taylor played her,
her new single, and it was lovestory oh yeah, I know I loved
that.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
I love that.
Yeah, she like really, I meanSelena is definitely like the OG
.
Oh yeah, like, yeah, yeah, yeah, her best friend.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
Yeah, for sure, but it was really cute.
She's been there from thebeginning.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
We were there too for the record.

Speaker 1 (27:19):
Oh, 100%, we were paying attention to her then,
and Joe Jonas, I mean, he didget some great jams like Forever
and Always, Last Kiss.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
And now she sends his baby's presents Yep.

Speaker 1 (27:30):
But yeah, I know.

Speaker 2 (27:31):
I, and now she sends his baby's presents, yep, so
that's it.
I know I thought that was socute.
I didn't realize that theybecame friends through the Jonas
Brothers.
I didn't know that, but yeah, Isaw it was a video and it
almost seemed like she wasgetting a little emotional, like
talking about their friendship.
It was so beautiful.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
I love that.
Yeah, so that's the internetroundup, and I thank you for
letting me speak on all that, because yeah, anytime.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
That's what we're here for.

Speaker 1 (27:57):
That's what we're here for, but we do have
actually like two topics, topicsto talk about, Okay, Okay.
First one is MatthewMcConaughey came out with a well
, I guess actually it was takenfrom an excerpt of a Titanic
producer's memoir, so it wasJohn Landau's memoir, the Bigger
Picture and he talked aboutMcConaughey's audition for the

(28:17):
role.
He said quote we brought him into do a scene with Kate.
You want to check for chemistry, not just how they look on film
, but how they interact.
He said Kate was taken withMatthew, his presence, his charm
.
He did the scene with a drawl.
No, Sorry, no, it's okay.
Because according to the book, after he completed the scene in
the Texas accent, James Cameronsaid like that's great, but

(28:41):
let's do it a different way.
And then apparently the actorresponded like no, that was good
, Thanks.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
What.
He wouldn't do it without theSouthern drawl.
I mean Jack Dawson's supposedto be from like wisconsin or
something I know, chippewa falls, chippewa falls.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
Oh yeah, right, chippewa falls that's what.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
Over yourself, matthew mcconaughey.
Get over yourself.
I'm sorry, but even like atthat movie, like people knew
when they were making the movieit was going to be huge.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
You know what I mean they were putting.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
It was a huge director, huge cast, they were
putting a ton of money into itand it's aged well.
So who do you think you arebeing like?
Yeah, no, james Cameron, I onlydo a Southern accent, fuck off.

Speaker 1 (29:28):
Well, yeah, I was surprised when I read that too.
I feel like that's a bold thingto say when you're auditioning
for anything, and I guess he'scome out.
Matthew McConaughey has spokenabout that audition.
I didn't even realize that.
He was like so far along in theprocess I had no idea.
And, um, he said on to Rob Loweduring his podcast in 2021, he

(29:50):
said that the audition he quotethought he really thought it was
going to happen.
And he says quote.
So I read, I went in and readwith Kate Winslet and it was not
one of the auditions like holdon.
So he said quote.
So I went in and read with KateWinslet.
They filmed it.
So it was like like into screentest time.
And then he said after we leftyou know, it was one of those

(30:11):
where they were like followingme and we got outside and they
were like that went great.
I mean kind of like hugs.
I really thought it was goingto happen, but it did not.
He was never offered the role, thank god, yeah but I also thank
god, no, I heard a similarstory though we'll have to check
this that, like jack, that leodidn't, almost didn't audition,
like almost refused to auditionat all.
He was like you want me toaudition?

Speaker 2 (30:33):
I saw something that said that he was like he
wouldn't read, like, uh, jamescameron wanted him to like read
the script or like read a part, and he was like, oh, I don't do
that, which like doesn't reallymake sense.
Like, how do you auditionwithout reading the script?
I don't know, that's ahollywood thing, I don't know.
But he ended up doing it.
Yeah, he did do it, totally, totally.

(30:55):
Yeah, he's like I'm not abigger deal than this producer
in this movie.
Like I, this is my job, I'mgonna be professional right, I
mean, thank goodness he didn'tget the part.

Speaker 1 (31:06):
I, like matthew mcconaughey, I don't, I don't
like matthew mcconaughey?

Speaker 2 (31:09):
oh you don't why.
Matthew McConaughey, oh youdon't why.
No, he's too manly and just no,he's just not my vibe.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
Not at all.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
He's not my vibe.
Yeah too, like you know?

Speaker 1 (31:30):
Yeah, totally.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
I mean I liked him in how to lose a guy in 10 days
yeah, well, that was like prebefore he became all manly, like
that was when he was like inhis rom-com days.
But then once he did truedetective he was like you know,
people thought he was so legit, which I mean I guess he was
whatever, but like not your man, yeah, oh my god I just thank

(31:54):
goodness he did not get jackdawson's role.

Speaker 1 (31:56):
I mean that like and I guess kate winstead's even
said, like I loved, loved myaudition, but thank goodness it
didn't happen, because obviouslywe wouldn't be where we are
today yeah, yeah, I mean thechemistry is a very important
part.

Speaker 2 (32:11):
I feel like people underestimate how important like
the chemistry between the maincouple is, because I've there's
been plenty of shows where I'vebeen like I don't like this
couple, like they just don'thave good chemistry the actors-
yeah, oh, that's so true.

Speaker 1 (32:24):
I'm trying to think of like, oh, you know, perfect
example of that.
I mean now we know they hatedeach other, but it ends with us,
um, justin baldoni and blakelively.
It ends with us that movie.

Speaker 2 (32:35):
Their chemistry was horrible oh, oh, yeah, yeah,
yeah, wait, I was mixing thatwith something else.
Yeah, yeah, I agree, trash, um,I'm trying to think of other
ones.
I feel like there was like oneI oh, bridgerton, the first
season of bridgerton.
Oh, you hated that couple.
I didn't like her.
Did Delilah or Daphne?

(32:56):
I didn't like that season.

Speaker 1 (32:58):
Oh okay, I, I mean, it's definitely my least
favorite season, for sure.

Speaker 2 (33:04):
Yeah, I didn't love the main couple in that.

Speaker 1 (33:08):
I I liked them.
I just didn't love thestoryline because they got
together I don't know.
I felt like I was into it thefirst half of that season and
then kind of fell off, whereaslike seasons two and three, I
mean honestly season two is thebest season.
Like, yeah, anthony, bridgerton.
Anthony, I always say Anthonybecause that's how they
pronounce it, but he's just thebest Bridgerton boy.

(33:31):
Yeah, he's so attractive.

Speaker 2 (33:34):
Donathan bailey, love him yeah, um well, yeah, thank
god for us.
I wonder if that movie would Imean, probably still would have
been really big, but who knows?

Speaker 1 (33:45):
who knows, um, for me it wouldn't have been as big.
Oh, definitely not.
No, I, I can say that withconfidence.

Speaker 2 (33:52):
I mean like same yeah like 50 of the reason I like
that movie is because ofleonardo dicaprio yeah, no for
sure it wouldn't have been.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
It wouldn't have been the same.
It's just interesting to eventhink about putting him in those
shoes, but absolutely not yeah,go away, matthew mcconaughey
for sure um, okay, last piece ofnews and then we'll wrap up for
the weekend.
Um, some sad news.
Kelly clarkson's ex-husband,brandon blackstock, died 48 from

(34:22):
cancer.
He had been.
He died on august 7th.
He had been privately facingcancer, uh, for three years, and
a source tells people thatkelly is devastated for her two
children she has.
She shares two children withhim um, river, her daughter,
who's 11, and then Remington,her son, who's nine.
Um, they so they were togetherbut then divorced in 2020 after

(34:46):
seven years of marriage and, from what I always saw on the
news, like it seemed like areally, a really nasty split.
It's.
It seemed like um yeah, okay, that's what I thought.

Speaker 2 (34:55):
I remembered.

Speaker 1 (34:56):
Yeah, like I don't have any like you know quotes or
whatever, but I I definitelyknow, um, that there has been
like a lot set between the twoand I think there was like a big
money battle.
Obviously, now it feels likelike when I was looking it up
online, like there's nothingreally talking.
There's nothing about that inthe news, obviously.
But I do think that they hadlike a contentious relationship

(35:17):
for a while, but she said, quotethat she always wanted her kids
to have the best relationshippossible with her dad and that
she's, you know, devastated forthem.
Also, I didn't realize this,but he's Reba McEntire's stepson
.

Speaker 2 (35:28):
Oh, that's random.
Yeah yeah, mcintyre's stepson.
Oh, that's random.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
Yeah, yeah, but this kind of makes sense because she
so she postponed her Vegasresidency this year to be with
her kids.
But there had been rumorsearlier in this year that were
like around March ish, that likesomething was up with her
because she took two weeks offof her show.
They were saying like she mightbe moving to Los Angeles and

(35:51):
like quitting her show.
Her contracts up next year.
So people are kind of likewondering what's going on, like
why, you know why.
Now there seemed to be likesome secrecy about it.
But you know, now it seems likewe know.
Obviously she was helpingsupport, like her family and her
kid's dad.
So sad news.
Um, you know, sorry to KellyClarkson and obviously rip

(36:14):
brandon blackstock, but yeah, yeah oh, so it was like people
didn't know he had cancer thatjust came out, just yeah, no one
knew.
And so and like yeah, she's cameout I think I'm pretty sure it
was march and she was like I'mstruggling, like there was and
you know the show, like we mightsomething's going on with the
show.
So people were kind of likewhat's going on with her, you
know?
Um, I don't think it makestotal sense total sense and I

(36:36):
don't think anyone likesuspected this.
But yeah, um, I just I lovekelly clarkson.

Speaker 2 (36:42):
I feel like she's uh, she may be a snitch oh, she
could totally be a snitch.
Oh, oh, she would, we could, wecould gab with her yeah, well,
no, I mean, remember she likeposted about something right
after we talked about it,something very niche the tattoo,
tattoo video yeah, and thenshe's saying it I know kelly

(37:04):
oaky um yeah so that's a bummeryeah I wonder if taylor would
ever do a vegas residency um,maybe one day I could see that
it just seems like that's whatall like the biggest artists do,
like it must be really easy, orthey make a ton of money or
something you know what theyshould do like?

Speaker 1 (37:24):
why is it that vegas is the only place that has the
residencies?
She should do a nashvilleresidency.
Yeah, that would be cool.
That'd be sick, like if shejust played the same arena every
single night.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
Yeah, I mean, I don't know if Nashville could hold
like the demand for that, though.

Speaker 1 (37:42):
Honestly, there should be a some other city
planner or something shouldthink about this, like could you
get a residency in your, inyour city?
I bet it would bring somepeople in like who like, okay,
definitely like if boston wereto do it, if we could get a
residency for, like who's aboston-based singer, that people
would just like always come outand see like a james taylor yes

(38:11):
, ken Chesney, that's perfect.
Like, if he just like posted upand did a residency here, he
would probably still sell it out, like yeah.

Speaker 2 (38:19):
Yeah, I mean people would go for the drinking more
than the music, but yeah, forsure.

Speaker 1 (38:24):
But you know, some of them think about food for
thought.
Yeah Well, that's all the timewe have for today.
Thanks, yeah Well, that's allthe time we have for today.
Thanks everyone for snitchingwith us.

Speaker 2 (38:33):
