Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ready, ready.
Hey everyone, welcome back tothe latest episode of Snitchin'
it's your host, kristen.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
And Brittany, get ready for the best part of your
day.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
Brand new week.
Happy birthday to my sisterMelissa.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
It's her birthday today, so shout out I was like
818.
I know this is someone'sbirthday, but I couldn't
remember who.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
How was your weekend, Britt?

Speaker 2 (00:26):
It was good.
My kids were a little tough.
This weekend Well, actuallySaturday we went to the North
End and did this Taste of Italytour for my mother-in-law's
birthday.
Yeah, so me and Chris and thenmy brother and sister-in-law and
we brought Tyler.
We sent Connor to Scituatebecause I was like, oh, like,
just in a bunch of restaurantsthat seems like a nightmare.

(00:47):
We were very wrong and Tylerwas an absolute nightmare.
It was like he was just so bad.
It was funny, like you couldn't, there was nothing we could do.
We were just like, I mean, it'sjust one of those days, he's
two.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
I could see why you would think that Tyler would
thrive, because Tyler's favoritething to do in the world is to
eat.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Exactly.
I was like, oh, he'll just loveall the eating and like, if
he's, you know, acting up, I canjust take him on a little walk.
But you know that didn't.
It was like he didn't want togo on the stroller.
You don't want to be healthy, you want to sit in your lap, you
didn't want to walk.
Blah, blah, blah.
It was a nightmare with him, sowe left a little bit early, but
the tour was actually awesomeand I feel like you would really

(01:29):
like it.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Ooh, tell me more.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Yeah, I was like Kristen would love this.
So yeah, it was by.
I think there's a bunch ofdifferent similar tours in the
North End, but it was just this, this one girl who I think she'd
like grown up there, and shetook us to.
So it was $90.
And we went to like first wewent to the oldest liquor store
in the North End and we had likelimoncello shots, and then we

(01:53):
went to a place where they hadlike we learned about olive oil,
and then we had some like meatand cheese and they gave
everyone like a little delisandwich.
So we had a sandwich and thenwe went to a pizza place, had a
little pizza and then we went toa restaurant had a little pasta
.
That was when we left.

(02:14):
We had to make the quick exit, but then they went to like a
gelato and like coffee place, but the whole time, like the
girl was telling us, like allthese cool facts and stuff about
little Italy, like in the Northend, and so I missed, I will
say, probably 75% of thediscussion, the tour, sure, but
the few things that I got, Ifeel like we're good, I want to
go back.
So what did they say?
They said she said that, oh,the thing I found most

(02:36):
interesting.
I'm wondering if you know this.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Okay and we should say we should say you already
said it, but just for any, for, like the couple of non-Bostonian
listeners, we have the NorthEnd is like our little Italy.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Yeah, oh, which actually that reminds me of one
I didn't realize the BostonNorth End is the biggest little
Italy in the country, biggerthan New York, wow, yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
I never knew that Boston way to go Number one.
I know I never knew that thatnumber one I know.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
I never knew that.
That is a fun fact.
Yeah, no, I'm interested toknow if you know this one,
because your family is likestraight off the boat from Italy
.
So she said that like I guess.
So first of all, italy became acountry after America.
Technically, italy as a countryis younger than America.
It became a country in like1860 or something like that,
like middle of the 1800s.

(03:39):
That's crazy.
There was a lot of this goingon and like they were starting
to try to like unify the Italystates to make a country,
because they were like we'restronger together, blah, blah,
blah.
But when they did that, I guessthe northern Italy people saw
the southern Italy people aslike peasants and like killed
them.
I guess that's what you did backthen when people were poor, I

(04:02):
don't know, but they were all, like, really persecuted.
And so all the people thatbasically came, all the American
Italians today, 99% of them arefrom South Italy.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
That's so interesting Cause, yeah, my, so, my dad is
the only one of his siblings whowas born in America, born like
in the North end, um, but therest of his family all
immigrated here and, yeah, theywere, they're from Sicily.
So I mean, like you know, asSouth as you can get, that's so
interesting.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
Same with me, my little Italian from Sicily.
Yeah, and there was like otherpeople were there.
They're like oh yeah, mine'sfrom like Southern Italy too.
I was like, wow, I never knewthat.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Naples or something.
Oh, okay, wait, I'm reallygoing to like that fact.
I have to remember that.
Or I can just listen to this, since this is recorded, and tell
Bobby, but he'll love that.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
I know, I know.
Well, yeah, you guys should doit.
Let me hold on.
I got to plug this girl becauseshe was really good.
Her tour to our handful oflisteners here.
What was it called Off the EtonPath?

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Okay, off the Eton Path.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
That's the name of the tour.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
That's a great idea.
I bet they would love that.
I think because of like theromans, you think of the romans
is, you know, the first realcivilization that I would never
have believed.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Italy was an actual country after america I know, I
know it's crazy, but justtechnically, technically, yeah,
but still yeah, but but stillyeah.
But I was thinking like that'sprobably why I remember like in
Vienna we were like surprised byall the Italians there, yeah,
and all like the Italy stuff.
That's because it's nearsouthern Italy.
You had a very educationalSaturday, yeah, well, and you

(05:36):
wouldn't?
I only heard like 25% of it.
So there were probably a lotmore fun facts to learn about,
facts to learn about.
So I would highly recommend.
But don't bring kids,especially a two-year-old.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Yeah, did Julie like it?
Yeah, she loved it.
Yeah, good, good, the photo wascute of her, chris and Tyler.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Oh yeah, someone posted that.
I didn't even know, but yeah, that was a cute picture.
Yeah, instagram verse reality.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
Wait, no, that's so true, Tyler's like.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Tyler's smiling perfectly, he was not.
That was like we caught him inthe right moment.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
He was really thrashing to get out of Chris's
arms.
That is so awesome.
Yeah, because I had the thought.
I was like, oh, what a cutephoto.
Tyler looks so great.
They must be having the besttime and I mean it sounds like
he did, but that's hilarious.
Instagram first reality Baby'sgonna baby.
Well, speaking of babies, I sawsome friends that I worked with
Friday night.
I hadn't seen them in maybelike a year.
We went out to dinner and theyare pregnant, due in December,

(06:36):
which is very exciting, and theymet actually at the company we
all worked at.
But I've said forever that hewould be like the best girl dad.
He's just such like a yeah,it's a girl, it's a girl.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
I was.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
I couldn't handle it.
I was so excited, flipped out.
Literally they were like, wow,we wish you could, we could have
seen your reaction to likeeverything, Cause I just I
couldn't handle it.
But they told the name.
I love the name, I.
Oh, what is it?
Evelyn?
Oh, I like that, yeah, but itbrought up the question that
we've talked about and I thoughtit'd be a good thing to talk
about here.
If, like you know just how doyou feel about sharing baby

(07:11):
names.
I feel like it's a verypolarizing subject.
People feel strongly one way orthe other.
I know you didn't share thenames.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
Yeah, I feel strongly don't tell the name because I
don't know.
I feel like it's weird to callit a name before it's born.
Oh, and like number one, like Idon't know, I just feel like
that's weird.
And then number two, I I likeit to be like a surprise.
Yeah, like when I'm like youknow, when it's like my you know

(07:39):
, sister, sister-in-law orwhoever who's pregnant, like
it's kind of nice to have, likeyou find out the sex, like in
the beginning of the pregnancy, and then, like once they have
the baby, it's like you know thesex and like a lot of time, you
know, you know what, when it'scoming, basically.
So it's nice to have like alittle surprise.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Yeah, I feel that it's so crazy to me and I've
seen this happen like with myown two eyes, where even my
sister, when she was talkingabout her kids, names.
So my sister has two girls andthen twin boys and the boys are
named after my father and thenher husband's father.
So it was very easy to decidethat and tell everyone.

(08:15):
But for the girls names shewould tell people and just the
reactions that she would get thefact that people feel
emboldened enough to criticize aname.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
That is so weird.
I would never do that.
If someone told me a name Ididn't like, I'd be like oh
interesting, I bet there aren'tmany of those.
Keep it to yourself.
I would never be like that's abad name.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Or like yes, or like oh really, or just like a
non-enthusiastic response.
It's like, okay, it's not ahypothetical that this could be
the name.
This is the name.
Get on board.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
People think they can literally say whatever they
want to pregnant women.
It's mind-blowing.
They want to touch your stomach.
They're like, oh, you'regetting big.
It's like, well, you're gettingbig, let me see your stomach.
That's weird.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
Oh, my God, no.
Um, our friend told me recentlythat she, like, after she had
her baby, um, you know she'sstill losing the baby, uh, the
baby weight, whatever thatpeople she works in like a
hospital setting, that men, shesaid, always men and older men
would always like ask her like,oh, having another baby, or like
having a baby, another baby?
Um, they didn't know she hadhad the baby, so scratch that.
But men, like specificallyolder men, would ask her like,

(09:24):
oh, having another baby, or likehaving a baby, another baby.
They didn't know she had hadthe baby, so scratch that.
But men, like specificallyolder men, would ask her like,
oh, are you pregnant?

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Like, don't ask a woman if she is pregnant, just
don't do it.
Even if they're like ninemonths pregnant.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
don't do it, Just don't comment on, yeah, and
don't don't, please everyone outthere, don't just like touch
pregnant women's bellies, pleasedon't.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
Please and thank you, and please don't comment on
pregnant women's bodiesconstantly, every time you see
them no one likes that but yayfor them, that's exciting.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
I know, I know, um, well, we have a great episode
for you.
Tv heavy episode.
Um, and just like that, thefinale.
The finale aired, I think, likelast week.
So we're going to talk a littlebit about how our favorite Sex
and the City characters wrappedup their character storylines.
Victoria Beckham has anupcoming documentary that we're

(10:17):
going to talk a little bit aboutVery excited about that.
Sophie Turner also is going tobe starring in a new movie with
her Game of Thrones brother, kitHarington, and we're going to
finish with our Summer I TurnPretty recap.
So a TV heavy episode for youall this week.
And kicking off with, and JustLike that, the finale aired.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
And I know you said you watched season one and two,
right, I haven't watched it yet,but I I looked up what happened
in the finale.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
I.
So I like, on the flip, didn'treally watch.
I watched season one, didn'twatch season two, didn't watch
any of season three, but I didwatch the finale.
It was oh, you watched it.
I did just to kind of, yeah, just to you know it was.
The thing is it's like it's a 30minute episode show and that's,
I know, game changer game.
If it was an hour, probably somuch harder, can't do it, can't

(11:07):
commit.
Yeah, it was a and it was easy, you know, because, like, I
still do love those characters.
Well, I guess we can start withCarrie.
So, like, the part that waspretty interesting, or the one
of the parts of the episode thatI want to talk about, is it
opens and she's dining byherself in a restaurant and it's
definitely showing thedifference between, like when
they used to dine out, versusnow, because like a robot passes
by with the orders, it's like aself-ordering tablet.

(11:29):
She's confused, yeah, but thewhole kind of like arc, the
whole kind of theme of herstoryline in this episode, is
like her accepting the fact thatshe might be on her own for the
rest of her life and so openingby her dining by herself, and
then the waitress comes over andbrings this like stuffed animal
tomato and puts it in the seatacross from her and they call it

(11:53):
Tommy tomato and she's like oh,we're putting this here so that
you don't have to eat alone.
What Like that's weird.
I know that's like what startsher thinking about being alone.
I, as a single woman who hasdined by herself.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
I take offense, offense.
That's like why they.
That's why they like fucked upthis like new series, like stuff
like that.
It's like okay, yeah, we get it.
Like there's like self-orderingkiosks now and there wasn't in
the 90s when this was made, butlike we don't need to like make
that whole.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
You don't have to make that whole thing, I know.
No, you know it was veryintentionally placed there and I
was like, okay, we get it.
And then the tommy tomato thing.
I was like if first off thatcould never, I don't really
think that could ever happen inan actual restaurant the reviews
that that restaurant wouldreceive, yeah, no, no one wants
to be called out like that.
No one wants to be called outlike that with a big stuffed

(12:48):
tomato especially post COVID.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
Everyone's like more solo.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
That's a good point.
Yeah, it was just like it wasan outrageous scene and I was
like that is crazy and if thatever did happen, like that
restaurant I feel like would beshut down within or or just
would have bad press within likea month.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
That's a perfect example of how they fucked up
the show.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
Well, you want to know.
There's another moment likethat.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Oh boy.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
It's funny you say that because, um, so just to put
a pin on Carrie, basically likethis the show ends with her
like putting music on in herapartment and she's dancing
around after Thanksgiving andshe writes the epilogue, Um, and
it says she found out shewasn't alone, she's just on her
own.
So I think it was supposed tobe this like empowering finish.
So that's Carrie, but thenSteven Miranda.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
So oh wait, no, but sorry.
Can we talk about Carrie for asecond though?
What happened with Aiden?
I like the summary I read saidthat they were kind of on and
off and he like asked her towait for him.
And I remember this from thelast season, like he wanted her
to wait five years for somethinghe had to do with his kids, and
then it sounds like he justlike ghosted her.
Is that what happened?

Speaker 1 (14:02):
Well, so they Aiden's not a part of the season, the
series finale.
He wasn't even like.
He was mentioned once, when shewas talking to Charlotte Cause,
she said, you know, after bigdied in the devastation, even in
the back of my mind there waslike a part of me that was like
maybe Aiden, but that's the onlyreference to him.
I think that they broke up.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
I feel like I saw a headline that they like broke it
off yeah, that's like you can'tresurrect, like relationships
like this for a viewer and thenjust bail on it again.
I'm sorry I think aiden shouldnever have been brought back
right if he was, if they weren'tgonna like be together, then
yeah, no, I agree he was, do youremember?

Speaker 1 (14:36):
because we only watched the sex in the city
movie.
The second movie like what?

Speaker 2 (14:41):
once or twice.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
He was brought back in that movie too, and it's just
like it is not.
Do you remember that?
I thought he was there, I'mpretty sure I don't remember
that movie at all well, but likeit's the same kind of idea of
like, can we just stop bringingback aiden as like a you know
last resort whenever we need astoryline for Carrie.

Speaker 2 (14:59):
He's not like yeah, like he's not that much of like
a fan favorite or like, yeah, Idon't know Someone that
everyone's really like hopingcomes back, I feel like.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
I know, I don't know, but yeah, that's all I know
about it.

Speaker 2 (15:12):
Interesting, but yeah , so what about Miranda and
Steve?

Speaker 1 (15:17):
Well, so, okay.
So Miranda and Steve are goingthrough it, but I will say, the
first scene with Miranda in thisepisode it's with her and Steve
having dinner, just the two ofthem, and I just it like pains
me because it just reminds mehow much I love them.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
They fucked everything up in that show.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
Oh my God, like, yes, they were like.
They were just so natural andit felt so like real.
But anywho, they're talkingbecause Brady is pregnant with a
girlfriend that like hatesMiranda.
They're at odds and Miranda andBrady are barely talking.
I guess Steve and Brady arebarely talking, so they're at
dinner talking about this.

(15:52):
So that's that scene.
Miranda then cuts to the nextscene with Miranda is it's
Thanksgiving day and she'shosting and Brady is bringing
this girlfriend and a couple ofthe girlfriend's friends.
And this is where they lost mein the wokeness.
Miranda has to run out becauseher new girlfriend has an
emergency and she's gone for acouple of hours and she comes

(16:13):
back while she's gone.
The friends are just like sorude.
They are blasting music, they're like dancing.
They won't eat any of the foodthey're only eating, like you
know vegetarian, vegan, likeseaweed sandwiches yes.
Yes, and they're like just, ohmy God, just being so just rude

(16:36):
and it's gone way too far, andyou could tell they were trying
to kind of like show the newgeneration or whatever.
And I'm like people don'tbehave this way.
Even the rudest people aren'tlike blatantly showing up to
someone's home and being like,oh, is that the mom?
She doesn't seem rude, it'sjust crazy, yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
Yeah, that's definitely not realistic.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
It was the worst I was just like.
This is you're just paintingthis stereotype.
That's so not how people intheir 20s behave.
It's crazy.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
I feel like the creator of the show thinks they
have like such a handle on likeAmerican culture and stuff, but
they actually don't, they do not, no, they don't.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
So, yeah, so that happened.
It ended up being with Miranda.
It seems like her and Brady arekind of mending fences, and so
Steven Brady and it ends withher, her new girlfriend, showing
up to support her at the end ofthe day.
So you kind of are left offthinking like Miranda is in a
new relationship that'ssupportive and loving and like
she'll be fine, and thenCharlotte finishes her share.
Charlotte really wasn't in thisepisode very much.

(17:37):
New relationship that'ssupportive and loving and like
she'll be fine, and thencharlotte finishes her share.
Charlotte really wasn't in thisepisode very much, but the big
thing for her is that harry hadchemo and he has like his sex.
His sex drive is basically goneand so at thanksgiving he like
gets a sex drive back in themiddle of like lunch or
something and they aren't likesitting down and eating, but

(18:01):
she's like making the turkey andhe's like honey, like I'm ew,
yeah, you know.
So they go off and have sex.
But the part that was so cringe, brit, is that carrie drops off
a pie and charlotte and harry'sdaughter opens the door I think
it's a lily and she's like oh,mom and dad, can't you know
trade like she can't give youthe stuffing she made to bring
to miranda's because they'redoing it in the back like what

(18:22):
the fuck what I was like what?

Speaker 2 (18:29):
like over my dead body.
I mean I, yeah, I, there are nowords.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
I it's so glad that charlotte and harry are like
banging again and that their, their children, seem okay with
it I don't know again, you don't.
They just don't understand, they're trying to understand
they think they understand, butthey don't, they don't, they're
missing the mark.
So, yeah, that's that's how ourstoryline ended up.
I still love the clothes Greatclothes and last thing I noted

(19:01):
that you would appreciate isthat Carrie has a cat now.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
Oh, I love that.
Oh yeah, I think she got a catin the last season.
I think she got a cat in thelast season.
I forgot about that.
Oh well, I probably won't watchthe third season.
I think that's fair.

Speaker 1 (19:23):
I would say they fucked it up.
They should have just ended itafter the first movie.
Yeah, they should have ended itthen, agreed.
But anyway, our next topic.
Well, I guess let's skip to theSophie Turner one.
So quick update.
Sophie Turner she played SansaStark in Game of Thrones.
She's going to star in a newmovie opposite her Game of
Thrones brother, kit Harington, aka Jon Snow, as her love
interest.
The pair are set to star toplay lovers in the upcoming
gothic horror, the Dreadful.

(19:44):
It follows outsider Anne, whowas played by Sophie Turner, as
her life is turned upside downafter the arrival of a
mysterious man from her past.
Sophie Turner went on Late Nightwith Seth Meyers and she said I
got the script from for thisamazing got the car horror and I
was reading through all thecharacters and she's also a
producer.
So the director asked her whodo you think would be good for
the role?
And she said I immediatelythought of kit.

(20:06):
She sent him the script andeverything.
And then she said he sent me amessage back and was like I'd
love to, but this is going to bereally fucking weird, sophie.
And she realized that, like asshe was reading the script,
she's like, oh yeah, it will beweird because it's like kiss,
kiss sex, kiss sex.
You know, and that's my brother, yeah, um, she not noticed that
, I know, but and she said thatwhen they were filming it like

(20:29):
the first kissing scene, shesaid it was like truly vile,
that they were both likeretching after the fact which,
ew.
But I am excited to see both ofthem on the big screen because
I mean, I love Kit Harington,jon Snow.

Speaker 2 (20:43):
Yeah, he's cute.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
He was my favorite Game of Thrones character.

Speaker 2 (20:47):
I feel like he was everyone's.

Speaker 1 (20:48):
Yeah, I was going to say who were some of your
favorites.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
Oh God, I put that show out of my mind, my memory
RIPp.
I'll never watch you again.
Game of thrones um, I thinkthat this is weird, though I
feel like well, at first I waslike are they?
Is whoever's making this movietrying trying to get buzz?
Like you know, people like usare talking about it now because
they're both in this movie, butlike we never would have talked
about this gothic horror filmotherwise.

(21:13):
So maybe I thought it was likefor, but it sounds like it's not
even for publicity.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
I think it's probably .
I mean, it's a smart move forpublicity, because, yeah, that's
like the reason I would go tosee a gothic horror, yeah, to
see these two.
But no, I think that she justyeah, I mean, it seems like she
just thought he'd be good for it, but you know, I feel like
that's cringy.

Speaker 2 (21:37):
I mean yeah, especially because, like, if
they feel awkward, I feel likethat will come through.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
Yeah, I know, Well, I really want to see the kissing
scenes, just to see what that'slike.
Yeah, but I will say like, eventhough Game of Thrones had such
a fall from grace I was justtalking about this with my
cousin Megan yesterday.
We went and played tennis andwe were saying how, like,
there's not really a song ofwhat we were talking about, how

(22:04):
there's not really like a songon summer, and so they're
talking about how there's likeit's kind of sad because not
everyone's listening to the samething.
We don't have one, like youknow, talking point that
everyone can kind of relate to.
And we were saying for TV, likethat is something that I
definitely feel like is sodifferent from when we were
younger where you had to like, you know, if we were watching
loss, we had to be watching lossat 9 PM on Thursday night and

(22:27):
if you missed it, you missed it.
And it was like just thebeginning of TiVo and like
recording.
And I was saying I feel likethe last time that we kind of
had that moment where everyonewas watching something on the
same, like same day, same time, was game of thrones yeah, no,
honestly, that's true, everyonedid for like eight years or
whatever, and even if you missedit like, and you recorded it

(22:49):
like it was almost as if onmonday you missed it, you missed
out like too bad for you.
We're gonna talk about yeah,drones.

Speaker 2 (22:55):
no, I know everyone at work.
I remember it was like everyoneat work would talk about it
1000% and if you didn't watch it.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
You had to be like I didn't watch it, yeah Right.
And it was like sorry, man, that's on you Go.
You know, go to the bathroom.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
I don kills me.
It's so bad.
Yeah, it's so, so much workwatching that show.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
I know, yeah, that's a good point, it was work,
that's what it was.
It was like so much work youhad to remember all these
characters and these weird names, blah, blah, blah, and then
they just fucked us all over inthe end, so true so anyway, but
that's what's going on overthere.

Speaker 1 (23:34):
When's it coming out?
I don't I.

Speaker 2 (23:36):
They didn't say I don't know, so probably like
next year or something.

Speaker 1 (23:39):
Yeah, probably, but what is coming out in September?
And this is just like a quickupdate and then we'll get into
our summer.
I turned pretty recap, but itcame out that Victoria Beckham
is shooting a new, or she has anew documentary that's coming
out on Netflix next month andit's going to focus on her
transition from posh spice to afashion and beauty mogul.

(24:01):
And the part that I think I'mreally curious about is it said
it's going to talk a lot about, like the source of her body
image and food issues, and she's, I guess, going to really talk
and hit on that, which I thinkit will be interesting.
And it's supposed to feature allof her family members, but I
don't think that brooklyn, heroldest son, is going to be
making appearance because theyare very publicly feuding with

(24:23):
him and his, his new wife.
So oh, I didn't know that.
Yeah, brooklyn and his wifenicola pelts, I believe, is her
name had a falling out withdavid and victoria.
I think they said it kind ofstarted at their wedding a few
years ago.
Interesting, and the rumor Isaw is that well, she's also

(24:44):
from like a billionaire family.
I mean she like has her ownfamily.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
They got married like young Weren't, they only like
20 or something.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
That's a good question.
I'm not sure how old they were, but I might.
I might misremember a littlebit of this story, but I think
what happened was at thereception.
There was a famous singer whowas set to perform at the
reception and they got on themic and said something along the
lines of like shout out, thissong is dedicated to the most

(25:15):
beautiful woman in the room, andit was Victoria, oh, weird.
So rumor has it that Nicolalike ran out crying and there's
been some tension ever since, and I'm sure that that's just an
example of like I don't knowsomething that's deeper within

(25:35):
the surface and that's justsomething that like maybe
brought it out publicly, but butyeah, so wait, the wife ran out
of the wedding because theymade a song about his mom like
there was a singer that wasperforming.
Hold on, give me two seconds,we'll just storycom wedding.
Um, so, basicallya source tellspeople, so this is peoplecom.

(25:57):
Brooklyn and his wife, nicolapeltz, were hurt after
brooklyn's mother allegedlyhijacked a dance at the wedding.
So, um, okay, mark anthony.
So is mark anthony, who's afriend of the beckhams, offered
to perform as a gift at thewedding.
Before the song began, markAnthony asked Brooklyn to come
to the stage and then announcedthe most beautiful woman in the

(26:18):
room tonight come on up,victoria Beckham.
And the source claims thatNicola felt that Victoria ruined
her wedding and couldn'tunderstand why.
And it was a jaw-droppingmoment that left the whole room
in shock and you could hear apin drop.
I guess like Victoriaoria andbrooklyn started dancing and

(26:40):
nicola ran from the room cryingand she felt like, on purpose,
well, and that's what I'm sayinglike I feel like there's no way
that could be the source of thefeud, has to be something else.

Speaker 2 (26:48):
Oh yeah, you know must mean yeah, it's probably
things like that.
I mean that girl seems tapped, like let it go probably.
Like wasn't even thinking.
Like when you're talking abouta A-list celebrity, that's
beautiful, of course, you'regoing to be like, oh, the most
beautiful woman.
Like he probably wasn't eventhinking.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
Yeah, no, totally, totally Like when I first read
it.
I agree with you.
When I read it I was likethat's a bit of an overreaction.
Get over yourself, Get over it.
But yeah, no, they are notspeaking.
David Beckham had a 50thbirthday party I think, I don't
know a month ago.
Two months ago.
They weren't there, they didn'tgo.
They're definitely at odds.

(27:30):
And apparently he's not makingan appearance on the new
documentary.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
Wow, yeah, that's too bad.
It is too bad, but I aminterested to hear about the
documentary.
I feel like it's giving me likethe Britney Spears documentary
vibes.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
Yeah, no, totally.
I mean, did you watch Beckhamtheir documentary?
That they did, I thought thatwas great.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
Yeah, I thought that was good too.
I didn't realize they were likesuch a big deal.
I mean not like thinking afterI heard it and like thinking
about it.
I guess it makes sense.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
But we were kind of young, I think, when they got
together and I feel like thedocumentary like really showed
you how like they kind of justblew up when they started dating
Totally and I think, like thedocumentary that they did, I
think probably why she's willingto do this one is because they
were well-received in thatBeckham documentary and there

(28:16):
was that clip that was goingviral of David calling her out
for saying that her family waslike a working class family,
even though she was going toschool in a Rolls Royce.
So it showed their like banterand that she's actually pretty
funny.
So I'm sure that it'll be thesame.
It's a three-part series andthe page six article about it
says when you look back athindsight, at when you look back
in hindsight at the mediaenvironment in the nineties, it

(28:37):
was super hard.
We've talked about that Um.
So she talks a lot about likethere was a huge scrutiny on her
appearance, her weight, um, andthe audience will have an
understanding of what she wentthrough.
And then Victoria said that sheeven admitted that she cries in
the footage.
So yeah, I'm really curious tosee what she talks about,
because it was so harsh backthen and you're in a group of

(29:00):
five girls and she's supposed tokind of be like her labels posh
.
I felt like it was kind of likea sexy one and she didn't
really do a ton of the vocals.
I don't know if she so that waskind of her.
Like what she brought to thegroup a little bit was that
image.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
Yeah, I feel like everyone's favorite Spice Girls
were baby and sporty.
Oh and Ginger, though.
Oh and Ginger, yeah.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
So Well, great, when's that coming out?
September?
Oh, let's go.

Speaker 1 (29:28):
Yeah, so we'll definitely be talking about it
next month Cool.
And so we'll definitely betalking about it next month Cool
.
And last and certainly notleast, every Monday we always we
can't wait for this part.
It's our summer.
I turned pretty recap and wehad a pretty great moment with
belly and Conrad, so, yeah, Iwas pretty happy about that.
What are your takeaways fromthe episode?

Speaker 2 (29:49):
I thought it was good .
Yeah, I thought the scene atthe end, like when when she was
like cleaning up his cut orwhatever and they almost kissed
was way better than the peachscene.

Speaker 1 (29:58):
Oh, oh good.

Speaker 2 (29:59):
I'm glad you thought that.
Yeah, I thought that was waybetter, yeah, so I thought that
was good.
I'm trying to remember whatelse happened.
Jeremiah was like being more ofa bridezilla, right.

Speaker 1 (30:14):
Well, yeah, but I mean I will say, just to go back
to that scene, um, did you notfeel?
I know I always compare conradto jack dawson, but did you not
feel like in the part where hekind of like looks up at her and
it's like a, it's a um close-inof his face, it was a very jack
dawson drawing scene coded ohmy god, I have to watch it again
.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
I mean I, now that you say that, I feel like I, I
know exactly, I, like I know theexact part you're talking about
in.
Titanic yeah.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
I know, it's just a matter of watching the Summer.

Speaker 2 (30:38):
I Turned Pretty again , but I can imagine it.

Speaker 1 (30:43):
And then when the False God came up, which is a
throwback- to season one theyhad a scene with False God.
Okay, I thought that I thoughtthat they almost like kissed out
on their little dock orwhatever and false god played um
.
So they played that again.
Yeah, there was a lot oftension and I was glad that she
was like she realized it waslike on her that time belly.

(31:04):
It wasn't on conrad, but alsojust like on the conrad
discussion, like the scene withhim and Laurel when he goes and
meets the mom yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
And the diner.
So sweet, yeah, that was sweet.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
I just like it's just so, they're doing a really good
job of like making it soevident that Conrad, like she,
he notices she's not eating.
He makes her food.
He notices that she's so sadbecause her mom's not around.
He goes talks to her mom.
He notices that she'soverwhelmed with like the
flowers.
He goes to Michael's like he'sjust ah, it's just so clear that
he actually takes care of her.

Speaker 2 (31:41):
And.

Speaker 1 (31:41):
Jeremiah is just like a little baby back bitch who
just can't like cares too muchabout the cake.
And now, like he just wants toimpress his dad so much that
they're doing it at the club, this woman, kaylee, is like
catering it Like he, oh.
And then when they found outthat they cheated right, found
out that they cheated, oh.
And then when they go and goapartment hunting and Jeremiah

(32:04):
has like no credit, oh yeah, andjust like springs it on her in
front of the like realtor,whatever.

Speaker 2 (32:11):
It's like dude, dude, fucking idiot.

Speaker 1 (32:15):
you're too young to be leasing an apartment if you
know not, if you don't know notto do that I know like, uh, I
don't know, it's just another, you know ding on team jeremiah,
even though I like jeremiah.
But you know, this is justobviously like a disaster.
And he is way too young.
The part when she's going tothe club and she's talking to

(32:39):
the planner and she's like, oh,can you serve lobster rolls?
That's what we were going toserve.
And the girl's like we can'treally get a caterer this last
minute and they don't servesandwiches.
It's just like.

Speaker 2 (32:50):
You know, they're just so out of their league,
like, and they started out, theywere like going to elope I know
they're like demanding lobsterrolls I know um, yeah, I feel
like this episode was kind of aturning point in that like it's
clear to the viewers now that, like conrad is like the guy for
her.
You know what I mean.
Like I feel like the audiencenow it's like they're trying to

(33:13):
make it obvious that you wanther with Conrad 1,000.

Speaker 1 (33:17):
And I think the part where she was at the bridal
shower and she's arguing withSteven about like the origin
story of them getting that dogRosie, and she was so convinced
that it was Jeremiah and thenwhen she talks to Jeremiah and
she realizes that she was wrong,it's like very symbolic of like
she thought she knew what shewas doing and like I think that
was a moment for her where she'slike shoot, am I really, do I

(33:38):
really know this guy the waythat I think I know him?
Or like can I really trust myown judgment here?
So agreed.
Turning point for sure.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
Yeah, and the mom came back.
I can't remember what happenedwith that in the book.
I thought maybe she went to thebridal shower in the book, but
she still was like protestingthe wedding, but it seemed like
she was kind of like fine in theshow.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
Yeah, I think she well, I think she realized, like
what Conrad said, like it'sgoing to happen either way, so
she's she can be there or not,but it's not going to like stop
it.
So I think she's.
That's kind of what I took fromit.
So, yeah, we'll see.
We'll see on Wednesday this new.
You know what's going to happennext.
But I do think this was like agood turning point episode to
your point.
And, per usual, I just have tosay my girl Taylor, holding down

(34:26):
the comedic timing of thiswhole series.
She's just so good and I lovethe relationship between her and
her mom.
I love that they're showing hermom a lot this season because
they're just like me too, yeah, very funny and also great
friends.
That was a very cute bridalshower.

Speaker 2 (34:42):
Yeah, it was really cute.
It's so frustrating, though, the whole Steven storyline.

Speaker 1 (34:47):
I know that.
I know you so clearly want themtogether, but I actually do
kind of like the developmentwith him and Denise, his
coworker, about them going intobusiness together.
I mean, to me it's so obviousthat Taylor and Steven will end
up together.
There's no way that doesn'thappen.
Yeah, I'm just waiting for that.

Speaker 2 (35:07):
Yeah, that's when you got to give the viewer what
they want.
No more trying to be mysteriousand secretive.
Yeah, give us what they want,no more like trying to be
mysterious and like secretive, yeah, give us what we want, give
us what we want.

Speaker 1 (35:16):
But it was weird that he was at the bridal shower.

Speaker 2 (35:20):
Yeah, that was weird, yeah, that was weird.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
But yeah, another great episode.
Stay in here, stay in stat forit, as always.
Hashtag Team Conrad.

Speaker 2 (35:32):
Team Conrad Snitchesitches yeah.

Speaker 1 (35:35):
Brittany hates the hashtag sorry, I yeah, hashtags
are for losers, sorry well, that's all we have for you today
, and thanks, as always, forsnitching with us.

(36:10):

because we had to talk Taylor onFriday.
Yes, yes, so stay tuned forthat.
