Speaker 1 (00:01):
Ready, ready.
Hey everyone, welcome back toyour latest episode of Snitchin'
.
It's your host, kristen andBrittany.
Get ready for the best part ofyour day.
Hey, britt, how was yourweekend?
We didn't chat at all thisweekend.
What'd you get up to?

Speaker 2 (00:16):
It was good.
I actually was off Thursday.
Friday we did a little familytrip down to Scituate, which was
fun, but it ended up mostlybeing me like watching the two
kids while chris worked onthursday and then golfed on
friday.
So it was okay.
But I do have a story that Iactually hate, but I feel like I
should tell it for awareness.
Oh, my god, so we it wassaturday morning at like 4 15.

(00:40):
So actually, to take a stepback, chris and connor were
sleeping in a room, okay, tylerwas sleeping in a room and I.
Chris and Connor were sleepingin a room.
Okay, tyler was sleeping in aroom and I was sleeping in the
room in a room.
Okay, separate rooms.
At 415.
On Saturday morning, chriswakes me up and is like there's
a bird flying around our room, like what?

Speaker 1 (00:55):
do, I do.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
And I was like what?
And no, it wasn't a bird, itwas a fucking bat, no, flying
around their room.
No, so gross.
I was like you woke up thewrong person here.
First of all, I was just, Ijust ran away.
I was just like, oh, I wouldhave flipped out with a bat,

(01:20):
like at all you're supposed toget rabies shots?
Because bats can carry rabies,I guess I.
It is less than one percent, soI'll caveat that, but it's like
well, I shouldn't say it'scommon, but bats can carry
rabies.
And I guess bats can like oh,this is so gross, I hate even
saying it like they can likebite or like scratch you like

(01:43):
when you're sleeping, and youwouldn't even know yeah, like
bats are so sick.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
It reminds me, first off, of that office episode
where there's a bat that getsinto the office and dwight,
covers meredith with a trash bagand traps the bat with with her
in the bag.
Oh, oh, my god.
But also, yeah, first thing Ithought about no, bats are gross
, dude.
And even it's like the 1% sureit's a 1% chance, but you're

(02:10):
obviously going to get therabies thing because, like, how
many people do you know are incontact with a bat?

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Well, I know Well, so it's a whole thing though.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Or maybe it's not obvious.
Are you not doing?

Speaker 2 (02:20):
it doing it.
Well, no, I mean, so it's we.
We think it got in through thewindow the window was like a
little bit open in chris andconnor's room so we were, like
you know, basically 100, surethat it got in and out through
that that way.
So chris and connor got shots, but like so the shots are
extensive, it's like four roundsof shots like one day, three
days later, seven days later, 14days later, and you have to get

(02:42):
like multiple, so like one'slike the vaccine to present,
prevent it, and then one's like,I guess, the one that would
like tackle any like rabiesantibodies that were like in you
, and you have to go to an ER.
You can't go to a doctor, soit's a whole thing and it's I
mean, it's expensive, like it'sa couple hundred bucks,
insurance doesn't cover it, andit's like a lot to put in your

(03:03):
body.
So, yeah, so Chris and Connordefinitely went.
Tyler, me, kyle and Sammy weredebating it, but yeah, I don't
think I'm going to get onebecause I'm sure that it didn't
get in my room.
I didn't wake up, yeah, and Ichecked.
I mean Tyler's room was likethe door was shut, the windows

(03:34):
were shut, every single thingwas shut, like I don't know how
the bat would have gotten in,yeah, now, so, but it's still
kind of haunting me, more forTyler than for me, but I'm like
I also don't want to get himvaccinated with all these shots,
like if he doesn't need it likeit's not an anti-vaxxer but,
like I'm, not someone who likejumps to put chemicals in your
body.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Well, no, I feel like if Tyler was never in the room,
then I, of course you're goingto feel like whatever.
What if, like, I feel likethere's no way.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
Yeah, I'm like what if he like climbed in through a
little crack in the closet, totally so.
I called the doctor.
I called Tyler's doctor thismorning to get their opinion and
they were like if he wasn't inthe room he doesn't need it done
.
If the bat didn't get in theroom, yeah, so I mean, but I'm
obviously still worrying aboutit.
Oh, and the other thing is likeyou don't show symptoms for one
to three months, stop and thenyou die, like if you get rabies,

(04:17):
you die.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Oh, my god, okay, well, yeah, intense, but I mean
smart for you to call the doctorand if the doctor said it
didn't get in the room, likeyou're good, literally I
guarantee that the bat did notget in the room.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Yeah, no, like, I'm like 99.99999% sure that the bat
didn't leave Chris and Connor'sroom, but actually my dad's
having an exterminator come overon Thursday to like really
check it.
Smart If they, like Iator, comeover on Thursday to like really
check it Smart.
So, like, if they like I'mgoing to ask them to like check
those two rooms and if theyconfirm that like there was no
way the bat could have got inwith the door shut, then I'll

(04:53):
feel fine.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Yeah, no, oh my God though, what a dude I.
That's gross, that's brutal.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
And I never would have known that.
About bats, Chris had likeheard the story he heard of like
our upstairs neighbor inSouthie once having to do that.
Like he heard the same story,so that's how he knew.
But like he called the doctorand they were like oh my God,
yeah, you have to go to the ERnow.
Like oh, it's a whole thing.
This happens all the time thistime of year.
Like any.
I was like what?

Speaker 1 (05:21):
I didn't know that.
I have literally never heardthat in my life.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Psa, everyone Close your windows, like if we'd never
heard that from a randomSouthie neighbor, like we would
have never known.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
I've never heard that in my life.
That's terrifying.
So did Chris just like wake upto like the sound.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Yeah, Like flapping around its room.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Ew, oh no oh, no, so gross.
How's connor is he like?
Was he scared or was he?

Speaker 2 (05:48):
just didn't even know what was going on.
He was scared.
He didn't wake up at first, butthen, like chris turned on the
light and like put him on theground and he started crying.
But then I was like okay, well,I'm just gonna take connor in
my room and shut the door yeah, totally so that's what I did.
I was like that's your problem, yeah, so I think chris ended up
like opening the window andthen just shutting the door and
it like eventually flew out.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Oh dude, but I was like so scared to open the door
the next day.
I was like if there's a deadbat in there, or it's like
hanging upside down somewhere, like I mean I'm probably never
going in that room again, I'mdefinitely never sleeping in it.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
I mean totally understandable.
I I hate birds.
To begin a bat next level, noyeah.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
No.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
I'm sorry that you had to deal with that and I
didn't realize it was such anextensive process to get Baby
shots Like that's.
That's not an you know, that'sa whole thing.
So that's super annoying.
But I mean you, I'm sure you'retotally fine, and like if your
doctor said you're fine, then Ithink most people would do what
you did.
And I know you're stilldeciding, but yeah, yeah, I mean

(06:51):
yeah, we'll see.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
The exterminator is the last check.
If he confirms, then we're good.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
I think that's a that's a good idea.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
Were your parents like freaking out too, or were
they just yeah, I mean everyonewas freaking out too, or were
they just?
Yeah, I mean everyone wasfreaking out.
Yeah, right, right, we all likewoke up and everyone was.
I was like trying to get thedogs to chase it away, because
actually the dogs get rabiesshots so they would have been
fine.
Oh, frank, I mean frank, finleyand callie oh, finley and

(07:19):
callie.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
Well, yeah, that's.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
That's an update, for sure not what I was expecting a
weekend, I know, I know well, Imean no bats were involved.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
Hopefully better.
Yeah, I mean, mine was great.
I, my sister and some of ourfriends came over.
We have a book club on Fridaythat I totally didn't read the
book for oh yeah, what was the?
Book I spaced it first lie wins.
I think it was a ReeseWitherspoon book yeah, oh yeah
yeah, but so, yeah, but it.
They came over, we had dinnerand then, oh, saturday, you'll
like this, so, or maybe this wasSunday, yeah, sunday.

(07:52):
So Gina and her parents cameinto the Bay and Bill brought
the kids to a little bit later.
They were having like a familyevent and so I went down and met
them for a couple of hours.
We walked over to this brewerythat's down, you know, close to
in the Marina, where I live, basically, and it's a very
family friendly brewery, so youwalk in.
There's always dogs, becausethey were doing like an actual

(08:14):
event.
Literally, the place waslittered with children, littered
.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
Like all those millennials, are looking for
shit to do with their kids.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
All of business opportunities to be made.
I know you've been saying that, for you've been calling that.
Well, the funny part about itis that mo and rico were like
floored.
They were truly floored.
They were like this is insane, like how many babies are in this
brewery?
And then we were just talkingabout and they actually said
because they listened to the podand they were like you need to
bring this up in the pod, soshout, so shout out.

(08:43):
Mo and Rico, I know you'regoing to listen to this episode,
but anyway, they were just likeI can't believe that there's
all these families in here.
You know, when we were growinglike when we were raising our
kids, you would never bring yourbabies into like a brewery or
into any type of bar.
And I was like remember thatsweet home Alabama scene where
Reese Witherspoon says to likeher the other character, like

(09:04):
the hometown Alabama friend, she's like you have a baby in a
bar.
You remember that?
Anyway, it was totally.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
It reminded me of that, but so it was kind of
funny yeah, I mean I understandthe sentiment, but I'm like,
what did people do like that?
I mean not that you need todrink to have fun, but I'm like
sorry for being selfish and likewanting to do something that is
like fun for me and them, because it's so easy to please
them, like if they just havelike a couple board games at a
place, like they're fine, orthere's like a jungle gym or

(09:34):
something like it's all good,I'm with you but I mean they do
a good job because they havelike, yeah, they have like a
basketball game, a ski ball, have like this giant, jenga
giant, connect, for they haveboard games.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
So it's like, and, like I said, it's very family
friendly.
So kids are just running aroundor they're looking at the boats
or whatever, but it was a funnyanecdote.
And then later that day I wentover and did an escape room with
my two nieces and my dad, andthen my nieces slept over last
night.
So that was really fun.
We had a nice little sleepoverbefore they go back to school
this week.
So the last-.
When's their first day?

(10:06):
It's Wednesday.
I don't know why they do this, because they have two days
Wednesday and Thursday and thenthey have for Labor Day, friday
off and Monday.
I don't know why they justdon't push another week.
That's weird, I don't know.
I mean, obviously there's areason behind it gonna be in the

(10:27):
Walpole school system.
Yeah, I know I was talking to mysister.
I think she is sadder about itthan she maybe even thought she
would be.
She's.
The girls went back to schoolshopping and I guess they like
didn't tell her and she was verysad.
She was like, oh, you know,it's the last one, and all that.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
So but but yeah, you can still go back to school
shopping in college?

Speaker 1 (10:51):
Yeah, totally.
I just think that everythingprobably in the beginning for
this year is going to be a lotof like the last you know, last,
first day, last, whatever, sothere's probably going to be a
lot of that.
We were talking actually aboutthat also at the brewery,
because right now there's a bigdebate in that house about once
Ava moves out.
So Ava has a room, sophia hasroom, the twins, the boys share

(11:14):
a room and Ava is very much notwanting to give up her room
right away and wants to keep ither room for the first few
months and John is literallyitching to move into that room
is like asking when can he getthat room?
And I was talking to Mo and Ricoabout it because obviously they
had four kids and went throughthat whole process and I do
think it is a rite of passagewhere the younger one gets to

(11:37):
move into the older siblingsroom once they go to college.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
Yeah, I mean, you can't like hosier room, you
can't that, you're not going tosleep in.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
You're not going to sleep in.
You've gotten the first pick ofthe room, the first pick of
everything your whole life,right.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
The younger ones get a choice, yep, so that's my
personal preference, but they'reactively working that out.
Does Ava have a new room shewould go into?

Speaker 1 (12:00):
I don't really know what they would do.
I think actually she wouldprobably go into, like there's a
bedroom down in the basement.
There's like a separate bedroom.
Actually, I think they got ridof the bed down there because
when I used to sleep over, Iwould sleep there, but I there
is a room she could go into.
Oh, so it's not like she's gonnabe on the couch yeah, I know
totally, but I feel like that iswhat did you guys well, because
you each had a room, so itwasn't an issue yeah, I mean I

(12:23):
also.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
Yeah, it was me and two boys.
So yeah, my brother shared aroom for a little bit, but then
they except, I always have myown room.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
Yeah.
So I mean, that is a nice thingabout being the only girl, yeah
.
But so, yeah, that was myweekend and we have a great
episode for you.
Per usual, we're actually goingto do something a little bit
off the cuff.
So, as we all know, swifties, taylor nation is doing another
countdown.
Trust us, we don't have ourhopes up.
We said it on the pod last weekwe don't like the countdowns,

(12:52):
but because we're recording thisone, this episode, a little bit
later than we normally do onMonday, we're actually going to
be recording live at 4 PM whenthe countdown ends on Taylor
nation.
So we're going to do a livereaction to whatever the news is
at 4 PM.
Eight minutes now first we'regoing to talk a couple of
stories in the news and then weare also, at the end of the

(13:14):
episode, going to do our Summer.
I Turned Pretty recap.
This is for episode four andthis was I mean episode seven,
excuse me and this was such agood episode, so we're excited
for this one.
But the first story for thisweek some romance news.
Austin Butler and Zoe Kravitz.
Their romance rumors have beenheating up but as of today, zoe

(13:37):
was seen out with Harry Stylesin Rome.
So this is kind of what we knowBasically.
Austin Butler and Zoe Kravitz.
They were caught kind ofcanoodling in Paris.
They are starring in a new filmtogether that premieres this
week and they were at thepremiere in Paris on Thursday
and there was photos that wereobtained by Page Six where they
were at this dimly lit barcalled the Dragon Bar and it

(14:00):
seemed like at one point theywere leaning in, they were
having an affectionate embrace.
An insider told the Daily Mailthat there's definitely
chemistry between them andthey're loving spending time
together promoting their film.
So that's been like kind of therumor mill for a while.
But then so that was Thursdaynight.
Then Sunday Harry and Zoe wereseen walking like arm in arm.

(14:23):
She was holding onto his arm ona stroll in Rome and a fan
captured the video and shared itto Twitter, slash X and it
definitely looked like I mean itwas, she was definitely holding
on to his arm.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
So, yeah, it did right, I mean the the austin
butler.
Honestly, I feel like more andmore movies do that now, like
for publicity, like try to makeeveryone talk about the two main
couple, like the two peopledating in real life, which is
annoying, that's a really greatcall.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
I know like the sydney sweeney glenn powell I
think that was definitely oneyeah, um I agree they definitely
try to to like pump it up forthe publicity.
But like I don't really careabout austin butler he, he dated
I don't like him.
What, what don't you like abouthim?

Speaker 2 (15:08):
I don't know, I don't think he's a very good actor
and I just think he seems likeone of those guys that's like
really cocky.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
Yeah, I feel like after the Elvis movie I know
that he was like in characterfor Elvis for years, but then he
kind of kept on that accent.
That was like a little bizarre.
Yeah, he didn't do it for me.
I think he kind of came to famea little bit after, like, I
think he was on some of thosenickelodeon shows that were kind
of right after our time, like Icould see if we, if he was on

(15:39):
like liz mcguire or something,we would have maybe liked him
more.
But I want to say it was likemaybe zoe 101 or one of those
shows that he was big on.
I don't know that I'm prettysure.
Yeah.
So yeah, I just don't reallycare about him.
But what do you think about?
I do care about Harry Styles.
What do you think about her?
Obviously, her and Harry.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
I mean I love Harry.
I don't know that I see himwith a serious relationship.
I mean I guess he was withOlivia Wilde for a little bit.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't love Zoe Kravitz either.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
Really.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
Yeah, I mean, maybe it's just because I didn't
really like her character in BigLittle Lies and that's like
really the only thing I've seenher in.
But I feel like she's like nota good actor and kind of just
like an Epo baby, but she'sbeautiful.

Speaker 1 (16:22):
She is beautiful.
I don't have any opinion abouther, like I.
I just I've never really seenanything she was in.
I will say I mean it seems likeshe's been with some high
profile people.
She was with Penn Badgley for acouple of years, the guy from
Gossip Girl, he's very funny, channing Tatum, yep, channing
Tatum for a few years and heseems funny.
I mean she's also tight withTaylor.

(16:43):
She's already listened to thealbum.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
She said it was like a no skip album album.
Oh, I forgot about that.
Oh, she's taylor.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
Okay, that makes me like her more but it's also kind
of an interesting topic becauseeven though harry and taylor
dated briefly, like 10 years ago, I mean, it is still one of her
exes.
So I wonder what?
Like I would love to be a flyon the wall for that
conversation, you know yeah,yeah.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
So I mean, I feel like harry and taylor are very
much done.
Oh yeah, me too I wouldn't besurprised if she didn't care.
But I mean, I feel like Harryand Taylor are very much done.
Oh yeah, me too I wouldn't besurprised if she didn't care.
But yeah, I bet the Swiftiesare all getting all stirred up.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
Yeah, for sure.
But yeah, I mean, stay tuned.
I definitely would be like somejuicy news and go Zoe, she's,
she's all over.
I mean, I will say actually, now that I'm talking about it,
she did star in a couple ofepisodes of the new Seth Rogen
Apple TV show, the studio andshe plays herself in it and she

(17:42):
was really funny, like the twoof my favorite episodes of that
series where she was starring init and she was hilarious.
So we'll see.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
Yeah, we'll see, I guess.
But yeah, we got three minutes,so this countdown is up.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
Well, the only maybe.
I do have like a quick tip thatthat is Taylor related.
Before we do this, Okay, theDancing with the Stars cast was
the pro cast was announced, which I know.
You don't watch that show, butfor anyone who does, Mark Ballas
is back and that is like mynumber one for all time.
I'm so excited that he's back.
I literally can't wait.
Also, Alan Bernstein, I hope.
I just hope he has a greatpartner.

(18:13):
He was with Alona Mar last year.
They're so awesome.
But you're going to care aboutthis because Jan I don't know
his last name but Taylor'sError's Tour Dancer, Jan.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
Oh wait, which one's that?
Let me.
I got to look at it Rumored tobe a new pro.
I'd love that.
Yep, so I knew.
Okay, yeah, I know which one.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
That one is yeah.
So oh, and you know that, youknow that it's going to be
referenced in his like intro andall of that.
So who knows, maybe we get alittle behind the scenes tea
about what it was like to be onaristore oh true, i't even think
about that.
I was like, maybe they'll playmore Taylor songs.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
Who knows, is that show on once a week or is it
like four times a week?

Speaker 1 (18:57):
Once a week.
No, it's not like Big Brother.
It's once a week, but it's twohours.
Oh yeah, that's a lot.
It is a two hour show, but itis.
I mean, it is really good.
Yeah, I would like it.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
I would like it if I watched it.

Speaker 1 (19:10):
I've always just thought it's for old people, but
it seems like it's had a youngresurgence lately yeah, my
nieces were telling me that theythey're gonna watch it and
they're gonna tune in, and theywatched last season, so I think
it has had a resurgence.
They've definitely like gone tothe influencer crowd, like alex
earl being the new being on thecast now.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
So yeah, we talked about this?

Speaker 1 (19:30):
yeah, they're leaning into that, but should we do our
countdown?
Do you want to go on to taylor?
What do we got?

Speaker 2 (19:36):
oh, we have 15 seconds, let's go.
Better not be another fuckingvinyl.
After the first one, I didn'teven pay attention to the second
one.
I was like I'm not, I'm not notgetting too excited about this.

Speaker 1 (19:51):
Yeah, I hear you All right, here we go, here we go.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
And a new vinyl.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
Life of a.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
Showgirl.
The tiny bubbles in champagnecollection, all right, whatever.
Yeah, taylor Nation, don't dothat, don't do it.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
There's no way Countdowns are not for merch
Like.
There's no way they're gettinga good fan reaction.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
Right, I'm like I don't understand.
Why are they doing?

Speaker 1 (20:17):
this?
Yeah, I don't either.
I like the photo though, butyeah, I didn't even look at it.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
I just exited out, yeah, whatever.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
Anywho, one piece of news before we get to our summer
.
I turn pretty recap.
Just another dating update.
Brittany Cartwright fromVanderpump Rules, fame and the
Valley she has a new man in herlife.
Kristen Doty confirmed topeople on August 21st.
She has someone in her life.
That's really amazing and I'mhead over heels, for she's dated
people during her single yearssince her ex-husband and I have

(20:45):
not approved of them.
They've been fine but notwonderful.
This person is very wonderfuland very cool, very family
feeling.
She said he's also a parent.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
Wait, she's dated multiple people since her and
Jack's broke up.
Is that what you're?

Speaker 1 (20:58):
saying, yeah, kristen Doty confirmed that she's been
dating.
But, yeah, it seems like shefound someone that Kristen
really likes also is a kid.
But then there was also aheadline that I saw for this,
where it's rumored to be thisman named Brandon Hanson I think
he's like a no name.
But there's a woman namedJacinda Stanko again no name who

(21:22):
like wrote on a Tik TOK postthat he was, that it quote, he's
my husband and then added inanother comment that that man is
married.
So I don't know.
But you know what?
Here's the thing with like.
I feel like reality TV starsare, quote unquote, like B-list,
c-list celebs.
Anyone's going to come out ofthe woodwork to try to just get

(21:42):
their head line.
So, like, who knows really, yeah, you know, no, that's true.

Speaker 2 (21:48):
That's true.
Is Ariana still with her guythat she was like she got
together with like right afterthe Sandoval?

Speaker 1 (21:53):
breakup.
Yeah, daniel, wow, I knowSurprised.
She seems like a relationshipgirl to me.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
I can't stand Ariana.
I like Ariana.
I think she's better thaneveryone else.
It annoys me.

Speaker 1 (22:09):
Yeah, no, I mean that's that's fair.
But I am like I mean we'vetalked about the Valley on the
show.
The Valley was really hard towatch at the end of the series
this season.
So I'm actually really excitedto like have a season with
Brittany being single and justlive in her life and dating and
not having all of the fightingwith Jack's Like yeah, I didn't.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
I watched like one episode of that and then I was
like I'm not into this.
Yeah, um, but yeah, I meanwe're over her and jack's
fighting.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
Yeah we're over it.
You know they're not gettingback together.
She said that theirrelationship is like legit
horrible.
There's no trust oh yeah, andhe's not coming back to the new
season of the valley, so I hopeit's a fresh slate for her,
because I like britney I do too.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
I wish the best for her, for sure.
Yeah, wow.

Speaker 1 (22:55):
I know it's crazy.
And I guess their divorce isset to go through.
They're not, like, fullydivorced yet.
Their divorce is set to gothrough in October, but yeah
that's an update for her.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
It's crazy.
It makes you feel like theyreally were just like acting on
the show the whole time.

Speaker 1 (23:09):
Well, I don't know.
I feel like they were in love.
I feel like she was just verynaive when she first got with
him.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
Yeah, not after like 10 years.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
Yeah, like by the end of Vanderpump.
Yeah, I feel like her reasonsprobably for staying with him is
like partly pride, because Ifeel like people warned her
about him, for sure.
Yeah, and she just, you know, obviously wanted to prove them
wrong and then they did have akid.
So you know, there's that.
Yeah, I mean it feels likeshe's seen the light, like she,
she has no problem just bashinghim publicly now.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
So I wonder if Jax will do anything.

Speaker 1 (23:44):
I know I could see him like starting a podcast or
something like that.
Yeah, I could see, I could seethat for sure.
Yeah, he's going to want tostay relevant.
But okay, last and not least, our summer, I turned pretty
episode seven recap.
This might have been myfavorite episode of the season
so far, Same same.
I watched it twice.
Oh my God, Tell.
Okay, what first thoughts Like?

(24:05):
What do you think Firstthoughts?

Speaker 2 (24:07):
belly's a bitch and she doesn't deserve Conrad and
Taylor is friend of the year.
She's like the best friend ever, like I feel like she was
exactly what Belly needed andlike Belly didn't even have.
She was just like, oh, you know, I picture my wedding.
It wasn't anything like thisand, like you know, it was like
with Conrad and like immediatelyTaylor knew she didn't have to
say it.
You know, she was like oh no,yeah, 1000.

(24:30):
But I feel like, yeah, she dida good job of like being there
for her, but not, like you know, telling her what to do.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
Yeah, no, I agree.
I mean in terms of like theTaylor storyline also in this
episode, like it's just I feellike everyone kind of knows what
Taylor's doing right, like, andyou just hate to see it.
She's trying to play it like socool and like her pride is like

(24:57):
like her mom, you know, andit's it's just like you know
that game.
When it's like you you aretrying to act like you don't
care so much, that you're almostlike pushing them to be
together and it's like no,taylor, what are you doing?
Don't tell Denise to callSteven.
Like.
Don't tell Steven you'll be hiswingman, like wing woman, like
what.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
Yeah, that's weird and like weird and like it.
How I can't believe denisedidn't know that steven liked
her.
I thought they like alreadykind of had a little thing going
.

Speaker 1 (25:21):
Maybe she just didn't want to like believe it or
think that he did, or I don'tknow.
Yeah, I mean, I was so happywhen the mom like saved the day
by being drunk at the end, likego, go Resenda.

Speaker 2 (25:33):
Yeah, yeah, that was great.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
Yeah, that was great, although I did feel so bad,
like it was.
Taylor's conversation with herwas super harsh when she was
just like I don't, I'm not goingto beg someone to be with me or
whatever, I'm not going to belike you and be pathetic.
It was like ouch you know, notideal.
Not ideal, Although I literallyhad to look away, avert my eyes

(26:00):
from the screen when taylorbelly and their friend annika
were doing their like receptiondance.
I kind of liked the dance.
Oh my god, brittany, I trulyhad to turn away, did you?

Speaker 2 (26:07):
did for the boys one too.
Yes, I hated it.
Wow, I hated it.
Yeah, I wrote in my notes thatI love the dancing part.
It's so modern and current.

Speaker 1 (26:16):
Okay, that's fair, it is so modern, yeah, but I just
hated it.
I was just like no, it justmaybe because they weren't.
I just didn't think they werethat great of dancers, I don't
know.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
I was just like I can't watch this, I mean it's
definitely cringy, but yeah, Ifeel like that's more of a thing
.
Everyone loves a choreographeddance, even if it doesn't really
like totally make sense.
Yeah, I feel like people love achoreographed dance.
I mean, I know I do, that'strue, um, but I wonder, yeah, I
wonder, if they're supposed tobe like doing it all out at the
wedding.
We'll see, I guess we'll see.
We'll see if, if this weddingactually, you know if it does

(26:47):
take place I was cringing sohard at the part when they were
like the boys were like out atthe bar singing jeremiah is a
bulldog, bullfrog.
Jeremiah was a bullfrog, right,right.
I was like, oh my god, I can'twatch this no, that's yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:03):
That's so true.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
I don't even know where to start with the conrad
of it all, like he just crushedit, this episode yeah, yeah, I'm
looking back at my notes and Ithink I accidentally wrote twice
that I saw like he looksexactly like jack dawson.
There was like so many, so manypoints where he was like yes
yeah, just like his look.

Speaker 1 (27:23):
It's so classic, it's so hot.
Like it's just, he's like theultimate gentleman.
I feel like jenny han is justtrying to make this man like the
man of our, of everyone'sdreams, like the yearning, the
moral compass he has.
Even when he was telling Steven, when he was like are you
really going to go for Denise?
In front of Taylor, I was like, yes, conrad, like let's, let's,

(27:46):
you know I love that.
And he like tried to put onsuch a brave face for his
brother.
Like when Jeremiah got therefor the bachelor party and he
was like you know, he said hewas just like, oh, the party's
beginning, and like you couldtell he was just trying to do
his best to like be there forhim.
And I was just like, oh, conrad, I just love you so much I know
.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
And the part when jeremiah was like what did he?
He made like some littlecomment to him that was like a
jerk.
He was like, oh, thanks fortaking my care of my girl over
the summer.
I was like what?

Speaker 1 (28:14):
oh, I know you little dweeb and it's just like it's
just, he's the worst.
Like no, no compassion for hisbrother at all.
It's so annoying.
I felt like the scene wherethey had belly and jeremiah like
hook up was kind of necessary.
I hated that part.
I forgot about that.
I didn't like it either, but Idid feel like they kind of

(28:35):
needed to like, yeah,re-establish, why are these two
even getting together like okay, yeah, wait, I remember I don't
even remember what conrad did tobelly like why did he deserve
that?

Speaker 2 (28:47):
I was like shocked.
I I don't know if that ithappened in the book where he
like professed his love likethis and she said no, oh really,
um, yeah, yeah, I can'tremember, but I don't think it
did.
But I was like shocked that shewas just like a jerk to him
back.
I was like what did he even do?
That was so bad.

Speaker 1 (29:02):
I can't even remember what he left her at prom or
something, I think like okay, season one, he like told her he
kind of liked her and then tookit back and then kind of like
said he liked her again andasked her to go to the dying.
I know, I know, but I think itwas like five years ago, yeah,
yep and well.
And then to your point, lastseason I think, because his mom

(29:26):
took a turn and he was likereally struggling, he was like
pulling away and then he brokeup with her at prom.
I know it's like belly's theworst, she's, she.
Literally I didn't even realizethat Jeremiah cheating on her
happened three months ago.
I don't think.
Oh yeah, I know, I do not think.
I like clocked that.
And when Conrad was professinghis love at the beach and is

(29:48):
like I never looked at anothergirl when we were together and
she's like you were way you did,you know way worse, blah, blah,
blah, I was like what are youtalking about?

Speaker 2 (29:55):
Like his mom.
Yeah, I was like what?

Speaker 1 (30:03):
what's worse, what I know, he never cheated on her.
He never cheated on her.
He was clearly like mentallystruggling because his mother
died.
Like yeah, give the kid a break.
I know, I know, and it's like,oh, okay, you're saying that as
Jeremiah stands you up and letsyou down yet again because he
didn't meet you at the beach, because he got wasted with his
friends and who's here?

Speaker 2 (30:18):
Right, he's past their drunken bed.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
Yeah, it's just like ugh.
I know.

Speaker 2 (30:23):
Conrad made a comment about it and she was like oh my
God, it's his bachelor party.
Relax.
I was like you.
Relax, Belly, I know, I knowyou don't deserve.

Speaker 1 (30:32):
She doesn't deserve Conrad.
She doesn't deserve Conrad.
And when he was like, when hisvoice was like breaking, when he
was talking about, like how wetalk, like we used to, and then
we, you know, you look at melike we used to.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
I was just like, oh my God, Conrad, I know and I
didn't realize that he didn'tknow that Jeremiah cheated too.
He totally thought she didn'tknow.

Speaker 1 (30:52):
Well, I appreciated how Conrad like literally said
to her, like you know, and thenhe was like that happened three
months ago, belly Like what thefuck?
Yeah, like I was happy that hewas kind of mad about it and
like dissed Jer.
But I also thought like one ofmy favorite parts, I think, of
the whole show outside of forConrad outside of, when he like
professed his love at the end,was when they did run into each
other kind of mid bachelorbachelorette party and she asked

(31:14):
him did you convince my mom tocome to the bridal shower?
And you can tell he's trying tokind of avoid it at first, and
then he finally admits that hedid it and he's like why do you
think I did it?
Cause it's important to you.
And I was just like, oh my God,this man is too good for anyone
.
But you're right, especiallyher.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
Yeah, like I kind of want her to end up with Jeremiah
now, because she doesn'tdeserve Conrad.

Speaker 1 (31:36):
That's yeah, I mean that's not.
I feel like a lot of peoplehave that same take but I mean
we want ultimately want whatConrad wants.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
So I guess I want them to be together.
But how many more episodes areleft in the season?
I've been meaning to Googlethat I think 11.
11.
So it's four more.
That sounds right.

Speaker 1 (31:59):
Yeah, I mean I don't really know how much more they
can do when the wedding'ssupposed to be like that week.

Speaker 2 (32:04):
I could see them doing.
I feel like a lot of shows nowwill do like the big scene, like
almost like the Game of Thronesthing, like the second to last
episode is like a big episode, and then they do like another
episode that's just kind of likekeeps you lingering there.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
I don't hate that approach yeah, I don't hate that
approach.
Only other thing I wanted tosay was just like another as
always great episode of music.
I loved that they opened withjuno.
I love that song yeah I thoughtthe week uh, we can't be
friends, like dance scene, theariana grande, like we can't be,
oh my like dance scene theAriana Grande.

Speaker 2 (32:35):
Like we can't be friends, oh my God.
Yeah, I love that part Allthose flashbacks, yeah, so good.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
Yeah, I love that part and the L-O-M-L at the end,
the Taylor like was perfect.
I felt like that was such agreat song to put there.

Speaker 2 (32:49):
I had like such opposite reactions to the two
Taylor songs in it.
Oh really, like Robin in thatpart and I don't hate Robin.
I know that's kind of like adeep cut, but I don't hate that
song, but I hated it in thatscene.
I felt like it was weird, but Ithought Lommel was spot on.
Yeah, me too, spot on.

Speaker 1 (33:10):
Right when it started playing, I was like damn well
done, jenny.

Speaker 2 (33:15):
Yeah, I actually saw online I wonder if you saw this
that Jenny Han admitted that shereally wanted to have Taylor's
songs be a part of the show, because when she was writing the
books a lot of her music wasinspiration and stuff.
I love that More, like theearlier, so it was important to
her that she really wantedTaylor's music in the show.
And Taylor is obviously someone.

(33:36):
It's really hard to get hermusic on your show.
It's expensive or I don't know.
They just don't give out therights very much.
I don't think Taylor gives outthe rights very much.
So Jenny Han wrote ahandwritten letter to her, to
Taylor, and that's how she gotaccess to the songs for the show
.
I love that.

Speaker 1 (33:53):
That's a real Swifty right there.
Yeah, a real Swifty would knowthat Taylor would like a
handwritten letter too Totallyso, yeah, we can't wait for the
next episode this season'sserving.
I feel like this is my favoriteseason.
I look forward to every episode, and this last one was 10 out
of 10.
