Speaker 1 (00:19):
Ready, ready.
Well, thanks to everyone whotuned in and listened.
How did it go?

Speaker 2 (00:24):
It was good.
Yeah, I feel like I will saythat episode got me all ready
for the draft, all ready forfootball.
I watched last night, but Ithink my draft went pretty well.
I think I was like the sixthpick out of either eight or 10.
And I got Joe Burrow as myquarterback.
Let's go.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
I got CeeDee.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Lamb was my first pick.
He played last night.
He got like 18 points, so thatwas good.
But then I.
My second pick was AJ Brown, who I've had before.
He's on the Eagles and hedidn't do well.
I love AJ Brown he is, so I dotoo.
I've had him on fantasy for afew years.
I get like attached to myfantasy players.
You do.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Actually I have a lot of repeats, but he's the guy
who wore his pink cleats acouple seasons, seasons ago, so
his daughter would recognize whohe was and his kind of stuff.
That's so cute, I didn't knowthat.
Yes, and he's a huge mentalhealth advocate Huge.
You'll see him on the sidelinesreading, literally reading
self-help books and stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Wow, yes, I feel like that takes a real man to do
that as a football player on afootball field.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Preach sister.
Yeah, so we root for him.
So I'm happy you got him onyour team.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
Okay, well, that makes me feel better about him
only getting 1.8 points lastnight.
Yeah, I mean, could be betterthere.
But the team I was playing, mycousin's team and she had Jalen
Hurts, oh yeah, he had a goodgame.
So, yeah, things aren't lookingwell for me.
He got like 25 points, but yeah, I was totally like, oh yeah,
is Jalen Hurts like a legitquarterback, chris?

(02:00):
Or did his defense carry him?
Yeah, oh, my God, you'resounding like the storylines are
just coming in already.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Just you know rolling off the tongue with ease.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
I feel like I need to report that kyle drafted.
Josh allen is his quarterbackbecause he's clearly a bills
lover secret or not, I don'tknow but I mean that's a good
bill.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
The bills.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
All you want, baby K.
Well, who else did he get?
Let's see, oh he got Jay Connor.
Chris always makes fun of mebecause I never know their names
, like I'm like.
Jay Connor James, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
I hate.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
James Connor.
He got Justin Jefferson.
He's good.
I don't know Kyle always likepicks weird players that I don't
know and then he like stillends up like winning.
He's like a savant.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
That's why he's our new NFL correspondent.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Exactly.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
Exactly, there's also a Clemson running back on the
Eagles offense Will Shipley.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Oh, so you are that?
Yeah, so you're probablystarting to like the eagles yeah
, the eagles are kind ofclimbing up the ranks.
Oh, and I like jason kelsey andhe was on the eagles.
Yeah, yeah, totally.
What do you think of the game?

Speaker 1 (03:16):
oh, I mean, I thought it was a good game.
I thought the first.
Well, I only watched up untilthe rain.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Delay there was a rain delay.
I only watched.
Yeah, I only watched the firsthalf.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Yeah, so but apparently, I guess, delay,
there was a rain delay.
I only watched, yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
I only watched the first half.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Yeah so, but apparently I guess like there
was really no points scored inthe second half.
It was like all defense.
So I'm glad I watched the firsthalf, which was a lot of action
, a lot of touchdowns.
I thought Jalen Hurts playedreally well.
I felt like he like was runningand scrambling.
He scored two touchdowns and itwas fun.
It was a.
What about the guy that spit in?

(03:45):
Dak Prescott's face, oh I know,I know that was crazy.
The fuck that was crazy.
Yeah, so there was a defensedefensive lineman for the Eagles
who like first one of the bestplayers on the defense, which
that's really interesting, causethat actually probably bit them
in the ass in the second halfdefinitely that's what the like
announcers were saying oh really, yeah, I mean yeah, he was

(04:08):
ejected for that.
You can't do that good yeah, Idon't.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
I don't give him any sympathy.
Like what the fuck are youdoing, dude?
You're in the national footballleague, you're playing football
professionally, for a lot ofmoney and you're spitting in
people's faces totally likecontrol yourself, yeah yeah if I
was I, if I would have kickedhim right out of the game yeah,
no, that was crazy.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Yeah, I, I that's embarrassing, honestly, like he
should be embarrassed.
And yeah, no excuse, I agreewith you, get him out of there.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Yeah, the eagles should be too I know that
they're that's like a heatedrivalry, but still, oh, I didn't
even know that that was a realheated rivalry, but still, oh, I
didn't even know that that wasa real rivalry, yeah, cause like
they're in like the samedivision and everything.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Oh, makes sense, yeah , but anyway, speaking of
football, did you see?
This happened like a week ago,but we need to talk about this
Cause I actually think it'shilarious.
Bill Belichick's girlfriend,jordan Hudson.
She trademarked the phrase golddigger because apparently, like
her company, tce rightsmanagement submitted an
application last month totrademark the name to use for

(05:13):
like jewelry and like merch andthat's what.
And I guess, like they alsotrademarked a bunch of other
things that like are related toBelichick, like chapel bill, the
Belichick way, just like abunch of phrases that they're
probably going to be using forlike merch and everything.
But what do you think of that?
Her trademarking the word, theterm, gold digger.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
I don't know.
I'm honestly a little torn.
I feel like it's like I getthat.
She's kind of like leaning intoit and it's like almost
sarcastic you know like she'slike like yeah, I don't know,
clapping back, I guess, atpeople that are calling her a
gold digger.
But it's also like I mean, itjust makes you look like a gold
digger, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
Well, I feel like we often like when people lean into
their stuff, yeah, like ifyou're going to do it, own it.
Like Sabrina, yeah, yeah, yeah, but like I get what you're
saying, because I still am justalso not on board with this
relationship.
She is 24 and he is 73.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
Yeah, it's like not something I would want to lean
in on.
Yeah, I mean, but I appreciatethe confidence or something like
the willingness to do it.
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
But I also wonder if, like this, this kind of makes
me think that she's like maybenot doing doing this to be with
him for like the long haul, butmore so doing this to like make
a bunch of money through her owncompany and then like leave him
.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
You know what I mean, like I could see that.
Yeah, I mean that's probablylike a real, that's a real
strategy today.
Today, because all you need tomake a lot of money these days
is like a lot of followers and15 minutes of fame.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
Like she could just literally do like a flash sale
and, if the stuff's good, likeshe could be good to go for for
you know, I don't know for life, but like she could have a
lucrative business at 24 yeah, easy, easy.
But then you gotta like sleepwith belt check no, honestly,
every time I see a photo of themtogether, like it's just like

(07:07):
imagine sleeping with him.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
No no.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Like ew, ew.
I just I can't get over thefact that when she was like five
years old, he was like50-something.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
Yeah, I mean, he could be her dad by far.
He could probably almost be hergrandfather.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Oh, oh, definitely, it's so gross.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
Yeah, I wonder what he thinks.
I mean, it's giving gold digger, she's using him.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Yeah, I mean, did you see the headlines?
This was back in April.
They did a.
They did an interview with CBSand someone asked about cause he
was coming out with a book andthe interviewer asked Belichick
about like the origin story ofhow him and Jordan met.
And she was kind of sittingbehind the interviewer and she
was like we're not talking aboutthat and kind of interrupted.

(08:00):
And Belichick later came outand defended her because he was
just, like we had said to CBSbeforehand, like we're not going
to talk about Jordan, we'rejust going to talk about the
book.
She was just making sure thatthe interview stayed on track.
But then a lot of people kindof came out and were like what's
going on here?
Like little miss, you know, youcould see in a relationship like
that where he has the money, hehas the fame, he's older, that

(08:20):
the power dynamic would be likehim.
You know him having the power.
But that interview kind offlipped it where people were
like is she like controlling himtype of thing, maybe, maybe, I
don't know it was.
It was weird, but apparently hesays that in his book I read
this today on people that he is,quote never been happier and he

(08:44):
called her his muse and her inhis new book muse yeah isn't
that like who you make art about.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Yeah, I don't think that's the right use of that
word.
I mean, like what is he makingfootball plays on behalf of her?
I don't get it, I'm dead.
I mean seriously, I don't thinkthat's the right word.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
That's hilarious.
Yeah, it's so true.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I mean like, obviously any73-year-old that can get with a
very attractive 24-year-old isgoing to be like taken with her.
Call it a muse, call it a bootycall.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
Oh wow, so right, yes , she, yeah, she's local.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
She's from the area.
Yeah, she went to Bridgewaterstate, she was a cheerleader and
they met on a plane in 2021,which I don't like because that
was four years ago, so she was20 at that time.
She wasn't even legally able todrink alcohol.
Let's just put that inperspective.
Yeah, but they met on a flightfrom Boston to Florida.
They sat next to each other.
Ew, Isn't that just crazy,though?

(09:56):
Like think about just thecircumstance that has to happen,
where you just randomly see thenext to Bill Belichick.
You have like a three-hourflight.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
And all of a sudden you know the course of his life,
like they're dating three yearslater or two years later or
whatever.
I mean, was it coincidence, though I feel like I've read
enough of these psychogirlfriend books to not.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
Oh, maybe she planned it.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
Maybe she wow, that's some like, that's some like I
mean, that's a perfect way.
Yeah, exactly, that's like aperfect way to like meet someone
and be able to spend a goodamount of time with them with no
distractions.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
Wow, brittany Yesney.
Yes, that's so true.
Like he can't be on his phone,he can't be doing any work.
Yeah, oh, I don't like that.
I hope that's not the case.
I like it better thinking thatthey just like.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
You know it's like happenstance, but if she planned
that damn but then it's like hewas like 50 and like preying on
like a college girl, like Iknow the whole thing's just
gross.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
The whole thing's like icky that's the word I
think of is just icky.
But I don't, I don't know.
But now, since they're alreadytogether, part of me doesn't
hate this whole gold dig like.
I kind of giggled when I read itbecause I was like you know, if
you're gonna do it like I guessI do it, maybe she's at least
she's not a victim to me.
It feels like I'd rather her bekind of I mean, I don't know,

(11:18):
I'm kind of just like talkingoff the cuff here, I don't know,
but I feel like I'd rather haveher be like smart and savvy
than be a victim of like totally.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
It could be like, if she's masterminding the whole
thing at at least like you gotto give her credit.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
Yeah, that's the perfect way to say it.
And I guess there's going to belike a, a Hulu docu-series
about Bella checks, debut seasonat UNC, and I'm curious if
she's going.
It's supposed to be about theplayers and putting like the
football program together, butI'm curious if she's going to
make an appearance on it.
I feel like she will.
If that, I feel like she will,oh, probably, I'm sure she.
If this is like, if she's themastermind that we think she is,

(11:54):
I'm sure she's getting her wayin there and getting some screen
time.
Yeah, yeah For sure.
But anyhow.
Yeah, we'll see.
We'll see what happens.
Well, the big news that we havefor today, our big kind of
story, is some dating newsSydney Sweeney and.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
Scooter Braun are dating.
I can't believe that.
Isn't that crazy?

Speaker 1 (12:23):
When you texted me that my jaw literally dropped.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
I was like what I don't know.
I just feel like that came outof nowhere.
I mean, he's also like 20 yearsolder than her.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
Yeah, I was going to say it's another big age gap.
She's 27.
He's 44.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
And I liked her.
I feel like she seemed like shewas cool gap she's 27.
He's 44.
And, like she, I liked her.
I feel like she seemed like shewas like cool and clearly she's
not.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
No, I don't know.
See, here's the thing.
Well, maybe just because we'retalking about a 50 year age gap,
a 17 year one now to me feelslike nothing, and I know it's
definitely not nearly as bad.
No, and I mean, I know people inmy personal life who have
married people who are 20 yearsolder and they are very happy,
so like yeah, but so, age gapaside, I guess there's okay.

(13:01):
So when I thought about it,like I was shocked too, just
because there, I just neverwould have even thought that
they would be in the samecircles.
But I actually am not thatsurprised.
I feel Sydney Sweeney peopledon't know this about her
because she's such like a sexsymbol.
I feel like she is incrediblysmart and like business savvy.
She was valedictorian of herhigh school.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
Oh, I believe it.
She's really good at acting, she's a great actress yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
She's legit for sure.
She went to USC, the universityof Southern California, to for
a business degree.
I guess she didn't finish, butshe has been interviewed saying
that she was studying businesssolely so that she was able to
read her own contracts, so thatshe wouldn't get screwed over
because so many people take cutsand like with the fact that
like streaming isn't it's likenow the thing, so they don't get

(13:48):
like residuals.
That's solely why she went.
She said, is to like be able.
She's been acting since she waslike little To be able to like
read and, you know, do all ofher business stuff, which I
respect the hell out of that.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
Same.
Yeah, I do too.
This is like another time, though, when I feel like I don't
know if my sense of reality isjust a little clouded with
Taylor, but, like to me, I feellike everyone hates Scooter
Braun, so like, if you're seeingScooter Braun, like everyone's
going to hate you too.

Speaker 1 (14:14):
Well, I definitely think I mean before the whole
Taylor of it all, like I thinkhis reputation was pretty good,
like I mean he just, he just hewell, he discovered Justin
Bieber.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
Yeah, I mean, that's doesn't mean he's a good person.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
No, no, I know, but I don't think anyone knew
anything about his personal lifebefore the Taylor thing.
But like I think his reputationwas he was super smart, like he
managed, he found Bieber, hemanaged Ariana Grande, forever
Kanye West when before Kanye wascrazy.
Yeah, I'm not saying he's notlegit a really great business

(14:50):
person and manager and all that.
It doesn't surprise me that shewould be attracted to that.
I guess it's like the wholeroundabout way of like, if she's
so business savvy, I could seesomeone of that caliber and
having that much money and thatmuch success, I could see why
she might like him.
That's a good point.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
That's true.
I could see why they wouldclick.
I don't know, though, wouldn'tyou just be worried that
everyone would hate you?

Speaker 1 (15:12):
I don't know she gets so much hate.
Anyway, she does.
Yeah, she gets a lot of hateand she was just under like fire
for the American Eagle thingyeah, did you hear about that?

Speaker 2 (15:25):
Yeah, I feel like for some reason we didn't talk
about it.

Speaker 1 (15:27):
But yeah, I heard about that, I watched it.
Do you want to give like thelowdown?

Speaker 2 (15:29):
Oh, yeah, sure, If you didn't watch it.
I mean, this happened probablylike a month ago.
She was in an American Eagle adand she was wearing jeans and I
don't remember exactly what shesaid, but something like your
jeans like determine your haircolor and your skin color and
your eye color, and my jeans areblue and like puts on her jeans
and people are saying it's likea nod to like Hitler and like

(15:52):
white supremacy, yeah, yougenetics or something which,
like I mean I can see, but atthe same time, like I work in
advertising, they.
It's crazy when people missthis stuff, because when I'm
like I kid you not, they'll gothrough hundreds of rounds of
review on a commercial that isso wild, like so many people

(16:14):
will weigh in so many times.
It's crazy when they miss thatstuff.
I mean I don't know that Iwould have picked up on it
immediately, but I don't know.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
I don't know if I would have, necessarily.
When I first heard about it Ididn't think, looking at that ad
, that it was like whitesupremacy ad.
I same she, her in and ofherself.
She's a sex symbol.
I didn't know that she saidlike oh, your jeans to turn.
I just thought that the taglinewas like Sydney Sweeney has
great jeans, and then that I,that's all I knew about it.

(16:48):
So I was like oh, no, okay, that I mean that then changes my
opinion, cause originally I waslike people are getting worked
up over.
I don't think that's that bigof a deal just because like
great jeans, like she's just sohot, like in and of herself even
if she wasn't a white woman, you know white blonde woman.
But that's interesting now that, like you're saying that, that
she's saying oh, all thesethings, so like they're hard

(17:21):
leaning into it, yeah, and shesays it in like this, like sexy
voice.
She's like my jeans are blue.
Well, I mean, yeah, it's on herbecause she is putting her face
out there to see it.
But I agree with you, like ifit's been vetted by hundreds of
rounds of execs yeah, no, it'son american eagle.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
It's on american Eagle.
Yeah, yeah, but that sucks.
They probably spent likemillions of dollars on that.
Well, no, but they said thewindow.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
No, I guess they said , though they reported that it's
like her their sale, likeeverything's their sales and
everything are doing really well.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
They're going to do it.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
They're doing another one with us.
Oh really, they're going againwith her.
Yeah, they're leaning into it,but, but and she but.
The thing is also she likeleaning into her sexuality stuff
.
She sold her own bath water, this like a year.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Yeah, I remember that that was gross.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
It's gross, but like people buy it, people buy.
So I just don't think she givesa fuck.
I really don't.
I don't think she's.
Yeah, she cares if people thinkthat her with Scooter Braun is
he's a bad dude which I canrespect.
Yeah, I actually same.
I respect it too, but I don'twant happiness for him.
Yeah, oh, totally.
I mean, you know, like he'sTaylor's archenemy, so we stand

(18:27):
with Taylor, obviously.
But anyway they were.
This whole thing startedbecause they were invited to
Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez'swedding in June.
They were kind of seen together.
People think maybe that's wherethey met and then they were
spotted together over Labor Dayweekend in Lake Tahoe.
So to put a pin on this one,Sidney started.

(18:47):
She's only really beensignificantly linked to her
ex-fiance, Jonathan DeVino.
They were together in 2018.
They were engaged in 2022.
There's a lot of headlinesaround her and Glenn Powell when
they were promoting the movie.
Anyone but.
You which she was a producer on.
They broke up I think this year, last year, and then Scooter
Braun.
He was married for, I think, almost 10 years.

(19:09):
He has three children with hisex-wife and they separated in
2024.
Oh, I have news for you.
I have like hot piping tea.
That's kind of related toScooter Braun, but not oh spill,
yeah, okay, so that's SydneySweeney and Scooter Braun.
We'll see what happens there.
But Scooter Braun, as we havealready said, he discovered and

(19:31):
managed Bieber.
And did you see I literally sawit like maybe 30 minutes this
morning before we startedpodcasting Did you see that
Bieber dropped another album?
Swag too.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
What no?

Speaker 1 (19:45):
Yeah, this morning, are you kidding me?
No, it's another 23 songs 23songs.

Speaker 2 (19:52):
Yeah, I mean, his first one was like sneaky short,
so the whole album now is likeover two hours long.
Wow, ttpd All over again.
Totally Listen to any of it, isit good?
I wonder if there are more ofthose like talking tracks.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
Oh yeah, that's a good point.
Yeah, honestly, no, I mean, like I just saw it this morning,
I knew we had to say it and I Itried to read like one article
before I guess no one.
This was like a surprise drop.
So he teased it on socialyesterday.
He had like a bunch of, he puta bunch of like you know, posts
up, whatever, and then hedropped it early, early this

(20:30):
morning and like the, thebackground's all like light pink
.
So I've only listened to thefirst one, but I really liked
the first song.
Shoot, I don't even rememberwhat it's called now, but speed
demon, yeah, speed demon, yeah, that was really catchy.
But I haven't listened to therest of it yet, just because I
haven't even had a chance.
But oh, yay, I'm excited.

(20:52):
I know me too, honestly, likeswag I.
I really liked his album.
Like the longer it's been out,the more I'm like I really that
was a good album.
So same.

Speaker 2 (21:01):
I mean, I'm not going to lie, I started my week
listening to Sabrina Carpenter, but I just, I feel like I just
don't love the album that much.

Speaker 1 (21:18):
Yeah, and now I have swag too.
Now you have swag too.
So yeah, breaking hot teaBieber with a new album.
So hopefully, hopefully, itdelivers, like swag did.
I'm with you on Sabrina I.
There's two songs I havelistening a lot.
I haven't touched the rest ofthe album.
It's go go juice and house tourand that's it, yeah.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
But yeah, I'm excited for this.
I feel like all the artists aretrying to get their their
albums released before Taylor.
Totally Smart.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
I wonder if Olivia Rodrigo will.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
I'm hoping she comes out with a new album soon.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
Yeah, I would be.
I haven't listened to that.
Wow, you know what I mightlisten to that a little bit this
this week.
I liked her.
I loved Pretty Isn't Pretty.
That's probably my favoritesong.
On Guts yeah On Guts yeah.
That was her second one, right.

Speaker 2 (21:59):
Yeah, but yeah, love is Embarrassing.

Speaker 1 (22:01):
Oh wait, no, scratch that.
Love is Embarrassing is myfavorite song on that album.
That's such a good one.
And Get Him Back.
That one's good If you haven'tlistened.
If you have had anyembarrassing dating moments,
which your girl has had many itis such a good song to scream in
your car because love isembarrassing.

(22:23):
And she just gets it.

Speaker 2 (22:25):
It's such a good one.
She's funny too, she's funny.

Speaker 1 (22:27):
Yeah no, Olivia Rodrigo's solid and she's got a
great voice.
I'm going to look at that albumreally, really quick.
Oh yeah, Actually it's likevampire vampire, oh all american
bitch american.
Yeah, I like that one.
This one also bad idea, rightis pretty funny.
Yeah, that one's funny.
Oh, I haven't even heard likethe deluxe.

(22:50):
There's a few on these thatI've never even heard before.
Stranger, scared of my guitargirl I've always been.
I've never listened to any ofthese.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
I think maybe I listened to those like once, I
don't know.
I don't remember Great, butyeah, she usually is like two
every two years right aroundSeptember, so we'll see Okay,
Last story Anna Wintour isretiring from Vogue.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
She's no longer going to be the Vogue editor and she
has.
She has named her replacement.
I might butcher this last name, but her name is Chloe Malley.
I believe she's 39 years old.
Oh wow, good for her.
I know Right, and shepreviously she's been with Vogue
.
She was the editor of Voguecom,so she was overseeing their
digital content for the website.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
She also hosted a podcast, so we, like that,
support our platform.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
She kind of looks like her.
I just Googled her.
Yeah, yeah, well, she's a Nepobaby.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
Oh, she is.

Speaker 1 (23:47):
She is the daughter of Candace Bergen, who you know
if you Google just put her namein.
She was on Miss Congeniality.
She's like the pageant directoryou would know her.
I think she got her start in.
Oh yeah, yeah, I know herPageant director, yep, yep.
And I want to say she was on aTV show Murphy Brown for like a
long time in, like the 80s or90s.
There's also kind of a funnylittle roundabout way.

(24:22):
So, yeah, this is impressive,39 years old, becoming the
editor to replace anna wintour.
But here's the thing.
What do you like?
Well, I guess, what are yourthoughts on this?

Speaker 2 (24:30):
just in general wait, I have a question.
Didn't anna wintour like kindof get pushed out?
I don't know, I have no idea oh, I thought this was announced a
while ago, like she wasretiring or she was like leaving
, I don't know.
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
I mean, I don't really care that much about
magazines, so britney words outexactly how I feel, like I kind
of was like I know it's aprestigious title and anna
wintour like anna wintour to meis like bigger than vogue, even
like I just feel like, yeah, almost simultaneous, like the

(25:10):
two of them go together vogue onits own, maybe, because I'm not
a fashionista, but I don't knowa single person in my life
who's who reads vogue I don'tknow a single person well, maybe
my mom who reads magazines, butyeah, I know.

Speaker 2 (25:25):
I mean, I feel like there is like a premiumness,
like a clout to the name.
It's like time or like forbes, yeah.
Yeah is like a an element oflike the name, like vanity fair
or something that makes it morelegit.
But I just feel like that'skind of like the old days now.
I feel like the way people getpopular is like if they're good

(25:47):
and like on their talent, likeif the content's good, people
will read it.
It's not as much about like thename.

Speaker 1 (25:53):
Yeah, I, I agree, but I just, I just think in general
, like editorials, magazineslike they're, they're on the way
out.
You know, like back in the dayI would buy magazines, we would
go, I mean, when we were younger, when we were teenagers, we
would go and buy magazines atlike CVS or you would read them,
you know, like a doctor'soffice.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
I would always read them at the gym and they're like
the elliptical.

Speaker 1 (26:16):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Now I just feel like people goon their phone if they're in
like a waiting room so theydon't even read them, then you
know, I just it's a waste ofpaper.
It's a waste of paper.
I wonder if she's going toreally to bring it into a more
modern platform, you know, rather than just the magazine.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
She's coming into a tough role.
I wouldn't want to be like.
I feel like publish, publishingin general, is getting like
torn apart by AI.
Oh my gosh, Because like thinkof it now, when you Google, like
it will just answer yourquestion right in Google.
You don't like click to anotherwebsite and like that's how,
like publications like Vogue orlike any of the other ones, got
website traffic is becausepeople would search and then

(27:01):
click to their website.
And now like people just findthe answer right there, so it's
like it's kind of killing them.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
That's actually I did .
There was this like SupremeCourt ruling that just happened
this week against Google, likeabout that.
Like I guess there was a bigantitrust lawsuit that google
needed to, that they were toobig of a monopoly that they need
to, like you know, share theirdata and whatever.
But but they the court ruled infavor of google because they
talked about ai.

(27:29):
They were like people arereplacing google with you know
google, something with justsearched on AI and like chat,
gpt is like more used thanGoogle Gemini, which you know.
So it's kind of interestingwith that.
Like people are so quicklymoving away from just the search
engine.
I'm not there yet, I stillGoogle everything, but I could
see it happening in like a well,no, I still Google, but I just

(27:51):
get my answers right there.

Speaker 2 (27:52):
Yeah Right, I don't go anywhere else and like surf
around, but no, I still Google, but I just get my answers right
there.
Yeah right, I don't go anywhereelse and surf around, but no,
well, they were slow to AIbecause they make a lot of money
off of regular search, traditional search ads.
So that's why they weren't bigon AI, and now they're kind of
changing their tune.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
But also back to the story Vogue, but also like back
to the, you know the the story.

Speaker 2 (28:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
I feel like the thing with that to your point about
it's a tough role to step into,is if the website, if it goes
down, like I feel like she willbe associated with that, with
like it's demise, but she's kindof stepping into like it's a no
win, like she could, I mean Iguess she could revive it.

Speaker 2 (28:39):
And.
But if it doesn't work out, then it's kind of like blamed on
her, which is not really thatfair, because I feel like vogue
in and of itself is kind of onthe decline.
Anyway, yeah, I mean it's verymuch like the landscape, yeah,
but yeah, I wouldn't want thatjob.
Good luck, chloe.
I mean good luck, chloe yeah wewish you the best.
Get taylor on the met Galaagain.
Do a good Met Gala theme.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
Yeah, do a good Met Gala.
Yeah, we'd love to see Taylorthere.

Speaker 2 (28:59):
Oh, Travis would love that.
That's the only Vogue thing Icare about.
Yeah, I feel like he would.

Speaker 1 (29:03):
Oh yeah, of course.
Well, that's all the time wehave for today.
We hope everyone has awonderful weekend.
