SPEAKER_02 (00:01):
Ready?
Ready.
Hey everyone.
Welcome back to the latestepisode of Snitchin'.
It's your host, Kristen.
And Brittany, get ready for thebest part of your day.
We're really excited todaybecause Britney and I are seeing
each other later.
We are going to see Hamiltonwith Gina tonight.

SPEAKER_01 (00:18):
Hamilton.
Hamilton.
I'm wearing my Hamilton sweater.
Oh girl.
But I will explain it for youguys listening.
Um, for people that like know ordon't know the Hamilton like
logo is a big star withHamilton.
Well, I think it's Lynn ManuelMiranda dressed as Hamilton on
the top.

(00:39):
I do have the shirt, but findinga specific black shirt in my
drawer is like finding a needlein a haystack.
Um I couldn't find the shirt.
So I was like rushing to getready.
So I wore my sweater though, butit's got a big star.
And that's I've worn that topass Hamilton shows.

SPEAKER_02 (00:56):
I love it.
I actually have a Hamiltont-shirt now that you say that,
and it says rise up on it withthat same logo.
But I didn't even think aboutwearing it tonight.
Uh it's so casual though.
Yeah, that's okay.
I don't know.
I had a whole casualty.
Yeah.
Ugh, uh, now I have to thinkabout that because I had a whole
outfit out uh idea planned.
But who knows?

(01:17):
Um, we Gina and I love to makefun of Britney for Hamilton
because Brittany, maybe settingthe stage, we should say that
growing up, Gina and I bothdanced from a young age.
Gina's definitely more of themusical theater person.
She went to college rightoutside of New York.
She's seen so so many.

(01:38):
Family's really into it.
Family super into it.
But I will say, yeah, growingup, we both danced.
I also loved musical theaterfrom a young age.
And Britney went to Hamilton.
Brittany did not dance when shewas younger.
You've always loved music, but Iwouldn't say that you were like
a musical theater person, wouldyou, when we were little?
Like pre-college.

SPEAKER_01 (01:56):
Um, I mean, I don't think I would say I was a
musical theater person, but Idid actually go to like some
theater stuff with mygrandmother.
Oh, that's true.
That is true.

SPEAKER_02 (02:05):
Um, okay, fair point.
Either way, though, Brittany'spersonality changed when she
went to Hamilton for the firsttime.

SPEAKER_01 (02:14):
Yeah, yeah.
I think I just hadn't seen likea Broadway musical in like 10
years, and I was just like, Holyshit, this is so good.

SPEAKER_02 (02:22):
She comes back and we're going to a different show,
me, her, and G, because we do doshows together.
And she's like, Oh, I can'tremember exactly what you said,
but we we were like walking upto the seats, and she's like,
Oh, I mean, I don't know if youguys know, but like at Broadway,
they don't do it like this.

SPEAKER_01 (02:35):
There was like a really long line, like to get
into the ticket box.
I was like, Oh, guys, don'tworry, this goes really fast.
I've been in this.

SPEAKER_02 (02:43):
Yeah, exactly.
Me and Gina are looking at eachother like, oh, oh, Britt, um,
have you been to Broadway?
We didn't get that from what youwere saying all day, like all
night.
It was just hilarious.
Cause like obviously I know theleast.
Right.

SPEAKER_01 (02:57):
So and was acting like the expert.

SPEAKER_02 (02:59):
But hey, you love, I mean, you love you're our I
think the biggest Hamiltonstand.
Oh, for sure.

SPEAKER_01 (03:04):
I know all the words.

SPEAKER_02 (03:06):
Yeah, you know all the words.
But yeah, no, we love to rag onher about that now when we say,
Oh, Brittany, Brittany's been toBroadway.
I've been to Broadway.

SPEAKER_01 (03:14):
Yeah.
It's gonna be such a theprosecco's like 18 bucks.

SPEAKER_02 (03:20):
Yeah, Broadway has Broadway has expensive booze.
But so does every every event, though.
Like you can't go to a Patriotsgame, you can't go to any
sporting event, anything at thegarden without like your
cocktail.
Like a high noon is$15.
Easy.
Yeah, oh yeah, easy.
Easy.
Where was I?
I was just at a small venue.

(03:41):
Um, oh, when Katie and I went tosee Dalton and the Sheriffs, and
I think she got like an Aperolspritz or something, which I
love an Aperol spritz.
It was in a um mason jar,$24.

SPEAKER_00 (03:53):
What?

SPEAKER_01 (03:54):
I know.
Oh, oh, I got one.
I went to was it the Bruinsgame?
I don't know.
I don't know.
It was at the garden.
Oh, it was Art Church.
And they there's like this likearea in the garden where you can
like eat.
I love it because like there'sno like it just scans your
credit card like from yourpocket, so there's no like
cashier.
So like I think that's so cool.
You just walk in and walk out.

(04:15):
Um, but the tall boy like highnoon, so it is like a bigger
one,$30.
Stop a tall boy high noon.
I literally in the store, I waslike,$30.
I am not spending this.
That is insane.

SPEAKER_02 (04:29):
You feel self-ashame when you're like, Am I really
gonna spend 30 bucks on thislike one drink, even though it's
a tall boy?
But people do it.
I mean, obviously.
Yeah, if you're desperateenough, I guess.
Yeah, it's crazy stuff.
I hope the prosecco's not toobad.
Um I'm already thinking aboutit.
Broadway more affordable.

SPEAKER_01 (04:47):
That is like my problem with Broadway, though.
It's not affordable.

SPEAKER_02 (04:51):
Yeah.
But I mean, that's like everythink about any concert now.
Like literally every concert iscrazy expensive nowadays.
More in the last few years.

SPEAKER_01 (05:01):
But you know what you're going to see.
Like a lot of times withBroadway, I mean, not always,
but if you want to see like anew show that you've never seen
before, you might be paying 200bucks and going in blind.

SPEAKER_02 (05:12):
Yeah, I know.
But I feel like for some people,it's like they, I mean, for the
those real musical theater likenerds, they love it, you know.
And I feel like I feel likeSteph doesn't mind paying for
that type of show because she'sjust such like a fan of the
genre.

SPEAKER_01 (05:30):
Yeah, but like how do they grow their audience?

SPEAKER_02 (05:33):
Yeah, I don't know.
Me and my sister talk about allthe time how we went with a
large group.
We went with all of hersister-in-laws and their kids.
She has three sister-in-laws,and between her and her three
sister-in-laws, they have atleast at the time that we went,
four girls, and then our friendsJen and Sarah came.
So we get all these people to goto a Broadway show of Anastasia,

(05:58):
Broadway in Boston.
This might have been like threeyears ago.
The worst Broadway show I haveever seen.
Oh.
Ever.
So you never hear that.
Oh, it was so slow moving.
It was so long.
The music was not.
It's almost like, do youremember when we used to have to
go to the Nutcracker in Bostonfor I will see it once?

(06:20):
Thank you.

SPEAKER_01 (06:21):
We saw it like every single year.
It was like the science museum.

SPEAKER_02 (06:25):
You only need to see it once.
It is, it's like that.
Like the the dancing was justlike it wasn't that
entertaining.
So everyone was bored.
I think people two people mighthave fallen asleep.
Like it was just terrible.
Um, and ever since, like some ofthe people that we went with
don't really go to musicals andwere like, no, like that, it's

(06:45):
it's the one in a million, youknow.
Yeah, 90% of them are amazing.

SPEAKER_01 (06:51):
You should have picked one like like the Carol
King one that I saw or the TinaTurner one that like you know,
you know the songs.

SPEAKER_02 (06:58):
I know.
Well, we were saying thatbecause I think part of it was
that we wanted to go to one thatwas good for all ages, and we
figured Anastasia would be goodfor younger kids too, since you
know it's that movie.
No, it was just a big fat no.
Um, but yeah, like I feel likeif I were to take people now,
and if they had to be younger, Iwould probably do Lion King.

SPEAKER_01 (07:19):
Do you know the music?
I've seen Lion King.
Me too.

SPEAKER_02 (07:22):
I saw that one right after Broadway reopened.
I remember I cried in thetheater because it was just so
like emotional after COVID thatpeople could be back there.
I was surprised I cried.
Yeah, it was emotional.
Love that that one or Aladdin.
Aladdin is six.
Also, the music, yeah, and thesets are insane.

SPEAKER_01 (07:40):
Yeah, I feel like one that I don't like is Lay
Miz.
Have you ever seen Lay Miz?
Only seen the movie.
I saw it with my grandmotherwhen I was a little not good.
But yeah, we'll see.
The thing I love about Broadwaytoo is that some people are
dressed like they're going onthe Titanic, and some people are
dressed like they just rolledout of bed.

SPEAKER_02 (07:57):
A mixed bag.
The mixed bag.
So you never know what you'regonna get.
Oh, I'm so excited.
Yeah, so that's what we're doingtonight.
I don't really have much else toshare from the week.
I'm trying to think.
Nothing like to report.
Yeah, pretty boring week.
Yeah.
Should we just jump into it?

SPEAKER_01 (08:14):
Yeah, let's do it.

SPEAKER_02 (08:15):
Let's do it.

SPEAKER_01 (08:16):
Well, first up, we're talking about the royals
again.
I think I don't we talked aboutthe royals recently.
I can't remember exactly when.
But for people who uh um haven'tseen Prince Andrew, there's new
drama surrounding Prince Andrewand King Charles and apparently
Prince William are forcing himto give up his royal titles and

(08:36):
trying to get him evicted fromhis royal lodge home, which is
let me just say it's a 30,30-room mansion.
Um, so yeah, I think the queenhad, after like the Jeff Jeffrey
Epstein scandal, the queen hadlike kind of shunned him from
public life, but now she's gone, and it sounds like Charles and
William are like hellbent ongetting them out officially.

(09:02):
So yeah, they're relinquishingtheir titles, which I Googled
and it doesn't really meananything.
Not that surprising.

SPEAKER_00 (09:08):
Yeah, not that surprising.

SPEAKER_01 (09:10):
But oh, and the other thing I thought I found
was interesting, so that his30-room Windsor Mansion Royal
Lodge, he's occupied for twodecades, and he's never paid.
I guess like normally they paylike a a little bit of rent.
Oh, and he's never paid hisrent.

SPEAKER_02 (09:28):
Wow, what a bad tenant.
I mean, I'm shocked that theyhave to pay rent.
That's news.
But I mean, this guy's a loser.
So what's his relation to is heKing Charles' brother?
Yeah, I know.

SPEAKER_01 (09:40):
So he's the queen's son.

SPEAKER_02 (09:43):
Okay, I'm not trying to bring everything that we talk
about back to birth order, butI'm just saying, like, this is
classic.
The elder son, you know, has allthe responsibility and then has
to like the while and outyounger one to just keep them in
line.
Like, yeah, yeah.
I mean, I don't know anythingabout Prince Andrew, but
obviously the only time you everhear him is in connection with

(10:06):
Jeffrey Epstein.
So, like, he seems like a baddude.

SPEAKER_01 (10:10):
Yeah.
And his daughters, you mightknow his daughters, it's like
Beatrice and someone else.
They're like their cousins, theyusually wear like big hats and
stuff.
Um, but yeah, I guess likePrince William was like going in
on the cousins, being like, Yougotta tell your dad to get out,
and he doesn't want to.
So I oh, another thing that Ididn't realize.

(10:30):
So did you know there was like abook, there's a memoir about
Jeffrey Epstein coming out byaccuser, Virginia?
I don't know how to say her lastname, Goo Goof.
Okay.
Um, but it's coming out in, orit might have just come out in
October, but she allegedly diedby suicide in April 2025.

(10:51):
Oh, really?
And her apparently yeah, it'slike she was like one of the
main girls.
I think she was in thedocumentary.
I don't know if you watch thedocumentary.
I watched the documentary.
I think she was like one of themain people in it and was like
one of the main perpetratorssaying, like, this is what these
guys did to me.
Like I was sexually abused andlike naming names and stuff like
that.

SPEAKER_02 (11:11):
Her book's still getting published.

SPEAKER_01 (11:13):
Yeah, well, yeah, they can't take that away.

SPEAKER_00 (11:17):
But yeah, isn't that kind of scary?

SPEAKER_02 (11:19):
Do you are you insinuating that like she got
murdered?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay, I was just I was justdouble-checking.
That's really crazy.
Like, I don't know, at thispoint, here's the thing I feel
like there's been a big swing inlike at least Trump's supporter
base, not to make it political, but because people want to know,
like, why won't they release thefiles?

(11:39):
What's happening?
But part of me just thinks, like, obviously, they've already
kind of incriminated themselves, like, obviously, they are
involved, otherwise, they wouldhave just released them, right?

SPEAKER_01 (11:48):
Like, I don't know.
I think the theory is likethere's more.

SPEAKER_02 (11:52):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (11:52):
Probably what do you think about it?
I mean, I definitely think it'strue, and it's very scary.
I think Prince Andrew is gross.
Um, I mean, I guess because likehe's the king's son, he
shouldn't just be stranded bythe wayside, but I feel like he
basically should be.

(12:13):
I read that he liked blondes andballerinas.

SPEAKER_02 (12:17):
Oh, gross, gross.
Ugh.
I feel bad for um the his kids,Beatrix.
I know.
Yeah, that's a tough position.
Um, Princess Kate must must belike, what is happening over
here, you guys?
We've got Harry and Megan in adifferent continent doing God
knows what, putting out newinterviews left and right, like
doing a new reality show everyother day.

(12:38):
Prince Andrew is a pedophile.
Like, what is happening?

SPEAKER_01 (12:42):
The royals are well, when you think about it, like
what if they do I don't knowwhat they do all day, especially
someone like Prince Andrew.

SPEAKER_02 (12:50):
I don't know.
I don't know.

SPEAKER_01 (12:51):
No wonder they're all fucked.

SPEAKER_02 (12:53):
You have the royal title, you have kind of the
magnifying glass on you, but yetyou don't have any real power,
or I would think maybe I wouldhave a little bit of like like
what's my purpose, you know?
Yeah, like that anxiety.

SPEAKER_01 (13:11):
That was like a big storyline in the crown.
Um, I mean, I think it's like abig thing with all like royal
families, but Princess Margaret, who is Elizabeth's younger
sister, it's just the two ofthem, so similar to like William
and and um Harry, like she waslike considered like kind of off
the rails and stuff.
Like she drank a lot, like shepartied a lot and stuff like

(13:33):
that.
But like they would show herlike she just like sat in her
bedroom all day.
Like she literally, like theycan't really leave the palace
without getting like mobbed orwhatever.

SPEAKER_02 (13:42):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (13:42):
And they can't like you know, they try to stay away
if they're partying from likethe pr the paparazzi and
whatnot.
But yeah, I feel like when youthink about it that way, I can
see how you'd go kind of crazy.
Still don't see how you can uhmolest younger women though.

SPEAKER_02 (13:58):
Oh, 1,000.
No, totally, like, yeah, you itthey're totally different
things.
You can't be molesting youngwomen.
Um, but no, I definitely haveempathy for the royals.
I feel like that would be areally hard life.
But I mean, honestly, who was itthat I think it was when the
queen died?
When did the queen die?
Was it recently years ago?

(14:20):
Yeah, you know, actually, I knowthis.
I was in Ireland when thathappened.
Anyway, um, yeah, so wheneverthe queen died, I was like
looking more into because youknow, as you know, I'm not
really big into the royals, butI was looking up her sibling,
Anne, I think, was her hersister.
And I guess like Anne likecrushed it, and she was in the
same position as Andrew.
Like she was out there, she haslike the most engagements of

(14:41):
like any royal or something.
I think that's her name.

SPEAKER_01 (14:44):
I love Anne.
Yes.
Anne is Anne is Charles'ssister.
Yeah, oh Charles' sister, myshe's also queen, so she's
Prince Andrew's sister too.
Yes, yes, exactly.
Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02 (14:55):
And yeah, she's like out there, she's doing all of
the service work, she's likeshe's out and about making
engages, like making herselfuseful.
Like Andrew, do better, be likeAnne.

SPEAKER_01 (15:06):
Yeah, yeah.
I forgot about Ian, and a G.
Anta G.
I think she's the only girl.
Yeah, well, now the other guy'sname.

SPEAKER_02 (15:13):
The women are holding it down.
So seriously, seriously.
Honestly, maybe that's a part ofthe problem with the royals.
Like the queen was amazing, everyone loved her, no problems.
Obviously, she's no longer withus.
Rest in peace.
Diana, no longer with us.
Princess Kate, crushing it.
It's I feel excavated.

(15:34):
Yeah, again, yeah.
Well, she's also an American.

SPEAKER_01 (15:37):
Um, no, isn't she Canadian?
Oh no, she's American.

SPEAKER_02 (15:41):
Okay, yeah, I always get that screwed up.
But yeah, it's just all theseguys over there trying to run
stuff and they're just having ahard time.

SPEAKER_01 (15:48):
Yeah, it's such a weird dynamic.
Truly.
Like you're like, oh, that lifeseems so hard and terrible, but
then it also you're like, butyou don't do anything.

SPEAKER_02 (15:57):
I know.

SPEAKER_01 (15:58):
Like Prince Andrew's never had to work a day in his
life.

SPEAKER_02 (16:01):
Yeah, but I think that it's like a different type
of unhappiness because it'syeah, you know, boredom, but
they no freedom.
No freedom.

SPEAKER_01 (16:11):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_02 (16:11):
I don't know.
I don't think I would choosethat life.

SPEAKER_01 (16:14):
Yeah.
I would hate to have to like beall like do all their etiquette
and stuff.

SPEAKER_02 (16:19):
Yeah.
Like you remember when we wereyounger.

SPEAKER_01 (16:20):
You have to take classes and that, like how to
fold napkins and shit.

SPEAKER_02 (16:24):
Ugh.
Like what remember when we wereyounger and we were forced to go
to like church or CCD orsomething?
Yes.
It's that times 20.
Yeah.
I have such empathy for kidswhen they have to go to church.
I'm and I mean, like, I havenothing against organized
religion, but I'm not, Iwouldn't say I'm religious
myself.

(16:45):
But when we were younger, youknow, our family was Catholic.
Yeah.
And I remember how an hour inchurch when you're like six
years old, so painful.
Truly felt like a lifetime.

SPEAKER_01 (16:58):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_02 (16:59):
Awful.

SPEAKER_01 (17:00):
I think that's why I don't go to church today.
I mean, well, part of the reasonbecause it's like the second I'm
in that church, it's like I'msix years old and I have no idea
what's going on.
Like I'm not paying attention.
I'm just sitting in my own head.
Like I'm not listening toanything.

SPEAKER_02 (17:14):
Girl, no, I feel you.
The only time I think I reallyenjoyed church was in college.
I went to this one Catholicchurch.
Me and Mish went.
And we didn't go often, but wewould go maybe like once a
month, once every other month.
And the priest there was so hewas an older guy.
Yeah.
Um, but he was so good at hislike homilies.
He would make them so relatable,so just things that college kids

(17:35):
or teenagers care about.
And like I remember leavingthere feeling, you know, like
you just heard something reallyinspirational.
Other than that, I'm with you1000%.
And now, like if I see my niecesand nephews have to go for, I
don't know, like a confirmationor whatever, communion, I'm
like, oh, I feel for you guysbecause you're you hate those
right now.

(17:55):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (17:56):
I know.
I'm so torn about like religion.
If I'll send my kids to CCD.
If I do, it would solely bebecause like I just want them to
learn about religion in someway.
Sure.
Like be exposed to religion.
It would not be because I like Iwent to C C D and I think that
and you know that's the thing todo.
But yeah, but at the same time,I'm like, how much can you

(18:19):
really get out of it in a C C Dsetting when you're like 10?
I don't know.

SPEAKER_02 (18:24):
What do you do you think your parents would care?

SPEAKER_01 (18:26):
No.
Oh, good.
Well, that's good.
Grand grandmother would care,but yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, even if my parentscared, I wouldn't care.
They don't go to church.

SPEAKER_02 (18:36):
Heard, heard, hurt.
But that's good though.
Like one less point of pressureon it, you know.
Um, no, I feel you.
That's like I mean, it's a harddecision.
Like, I've even said to myMelissa about her kids.
I'm like, you don't even careabout church, you know.
Like, why are you putting them?
Whatever.

SPEAKER_01 (18:52):
I learned nothing in church.

SPEAKER_02 (18:54):
Yeah.
I I had like a period in highschool where I was really into
church, but it was more for thethe like community of it all
rather than I would say thelessons of Catholicism.

SPEAKER_01 (19:05):
On I will say untamed the book.
So like Glenn and Doyle, she haslike a Christian background and
stuff.
So that's like a big part of herbook because she like you know
shuns a lot of the like shedoesn't agree, obviously, with a
lot of Christianity, like beingagainst like gay people and
marriage and stuff like that.
But she does like still believein God and still believe in like

(19:28):
religion in some way.
So it it's interesting.
We'll talk more tomorrow, but itis interesting how she like
approaches it.

SPEAKER_02 (19:33):
Yeah, that's actually a really good point.
That is interesting because Iwouldn't say I think you and I
are aligned in the sense thatwe're not religious, but I mean
we both like very much believe, you know, in the in signs from
the afterlife.
Like if someone passes on thatthey're still with us, so like
there is something.

SPEAKER_01 (19:53):
I just I just feel like religions are all like ways
to for like old white guys tocontrol people.

SPEAKER_02 (19:59):
Sure.

SPEAKER_01 (20:00):
I believe there you can be spiritual and there's
like there doesn't have to be somany rules around it or like
guilt.

SPEAKER_02 (20:06):
Yeah, heard.
Well, we'll definitely talk moreabout all of that tomorrow for
book club.
I'm excited about it.
It's a quick read, which is yeahnice.
Yeah, but next you know, topic,I don't think, I mean, unless
there's anything else we havefor the Royals.
No, uh Justin Trudeau and KatyPerry, they are officially

(20:28):
together.
We talked about them back inJuly when they were first
spotted together.
They were seen out to dinner, and then um they weren't seen
together for a little whileafter that.
That she he went to her concert.
Like there was a few times inJuly they were spotted together.
Um, but they have reconnectedthis month.
Earlier this month, they were onher yacht, and her birthday was

(20:49):
on Saturday.
She threw a big party um at theCrazy Horse Cabaret in Paris,
and her and Trudeau were holdinghands, they left the party
together.
So it is officially confirmedthat they are together.
Um I liked her outfit.

SPEAKER_01 (21:06):
Oh, sorry.

SPEAKER_02 (21:07):
Oh no, you're good.
I liked it too, the red dress.

SPEAKER_01 (21:10):
Yeah.
I feel like I like Katy Perry'sstyle.

SPEAKER_02 (21:13):
I yeah, okay.
I mean, I like street style.
Street style.
Sure, sure.
Well, that's kind of funny thatyou say that because I feel like
what I think about when I thinkof her, I kind of think not as
gaga as gaga, but kind of liketheatrical in that way.
Like she has like the cottoncandy hair and she has this
really colorful, colorful, yeah.

(21:33):
Lots of colors.
Yeah.
1,000.
So it's kind of interestingseeing a performer like that,
you know, being with a primeminister.
Like they they definitely feellike an opposites attract
situation.

SPEAKER_01 (21:46):
Yeah, I feel like they're not gonna last.
Sorry.

SPEAKER_02 (21:49):
No, I'm with you.
I don't think they're gonna lastvery long either.

SPEAKER_01 (21:52):
But is he he's not in government, I don't think
anymore, right?
Like, is he still in office?

SPEAKER_02 (21:56):
No, he was the prime minister for nine years, and
then he was in some other bigrole, I don't know what it was,
for two years before that, buthe resigned as prime minister in
January.
So it was this year, and then healso recently, not recently, but
in uh it was 2023, August.
In August 2023, he separatedfrom his wife of 18 years.

(22:17):
So Oh wow, yeah, like definitelybeen a couple of years of big
changes for him.
Um, but yeah, no, no, her wife.
It's that's tough.
That's tough.

SPEAKER_00 (22:28):
That's tough.

SPEAKER_01 (22:29):
I w yeah, I wonder what she thinks of all this.
If you divorce someone after 18years and then they went to be
dating a A-less celebrity, yeah,yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's a tough gallery sucks.

SPEAKER_02 (22:40):
I hope, I hope it was her fault that they broke
up.
I mean, yeah, who knows?
I don't know, but yeah, I wishhim well.
I mean, no, like I I agree withyou, I don't see it lasting
super long.
She definitely to me feels likea relationship gal.
I don't think it was that longago that she was with Orlando
Bloom.

SPEAKER_01 (23:01):
Yeah, no, I feel like they broke up, wasn't it in
the last year?
I don't know.

SPEAKER_02 (23:05):
See, like, I don't know.
I don't know when that happened, but I think it was recent.
And before that, I think she waswith, you know, she was married
to Russell Brand.
She was obviously with JohnMayer.
So it definitely feels likeshe's a gal who likes to be
wifed up.
I also 2025.

SPEAKER_01 (23:21):
2025, okay.
July, July 2025.
Dang.
Yeah.
Oh, and then she was alreadyokay, yeah, and she was already
spotted out uh with the Canadianguy in July.
Yeah.
Well, I'm glad it lasted, Iguess.
I don't know.

SPEAKER_02 (23:37):
I think she needs a little bit of like good juju or
like good press because she'sbeen kind of ripped to shreds
after the whole space thing.
She just really, I don't know, Idon't even know why, but she
really like took a hit duringthat whole and kind of became
this like laughing stock almost.

SPEAKER_01 (23:54):
Yeah.
I feel like her music's alsolike not that good.
I just don't really listen toher.
Like, she just seems like thequintessential like pop pop
princess who like you knowdoesn't write her own music and
like doesn't really like theopposite of Taylor, who like has
control and influence over everysingle thing.
Like, I feel like Katy Perryjust kind of like walks in and

(24:15):
does what they tell her.

SPEAKER_02 (24:17):
Heard.
But yeah, he's cute.
Wish him the best.
He's cute.
Yeah, same.
Uh anything else for them?

SPEAKER_01 (24:24):
No, let's talk dancing with the stars.

SPEAKER_02 (24:26):
Dancing with the stars.
Yes, our recap is coming earlythis week since we're doing book
club on Friday.
Last night was Halloween night.
What'd you think, Brett?

SPEAKER_01 (24:35):
I loved Halloween night.
I think Halloween night was myfavorite night so far.
Oh, really?
Okay.
Yeah.
I uh loved the uh like spookytheme.
And I felt like it was like alot of people were kind of like
outside their comfort zone, which was cool.
Um, and yeah, I liked the musicand stuff.
What'd you think?

SPEAKER_02 (24:56):
Halloween night was not my favorite night.
I actually think that overall Iwas really underwhelmed with the
dances.
So damn, I know.
I like I noticed on every dance,I was kind of like, I mean, it's
fine, it's good.
Like even Alex's, which I thinkwas probably the best one of the
night.
Uh it wasn't my favorite ofhers.

SPEAKER_01 (25:15):
Um, I loved it.
I loved Alex's.

SPEAKER_02 (25:19):
I thought it was good.
I I feel like she's beencrushing it all season.
I'm happy for them.
Deserve those tens, butpersonally, it just wasn't my
favorite dance of hers.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't even know if I couldpinpoint wide.
It just felt like she was kindof not that sharp, just kind of
like throwing her arms around.
But obviously I was wrongbecause everyone like everyone

(25:39):
loved it.
I will say, I think the week thethe night was tainted like from
the jump because within thefirst five minutes, uh, this was
so sad that you find out.
My girl Elaine, she she didn'tdance last night.
So Elaine and Alan, the bestcouple, weren't dancing last
night because she got hurt inrehearsal earlier that day and

(26:01):
was in the hospital.
Made me so sad immediately.
I voted for them 10 times.
Immediately.
I think I I voted for them too.
I voted for the first time lastnight.
Let's go.
It didn't hurt as much once youfound out that you did get to at
least watch the rehearsal.
So we got to see what the dancewould have kind of felt like.
Yeah.
To me, I think if she hadperformed it, it would have been

(26:23):
my favorite of the night.

SPEAKER_01 (26:24):
Yeah, it it did seem like it was a sick dance.
And like I thought for sure whenthey were like, oh, we're just
gonna have to show her last likeI thought she wasn't even gonna
be able to get through it orlike was gonna be like marking
stuff or something, but like shewas doing it.
She did the whole thing.
Um, so I was glad for that forher sake.
And they gave her all eightsbecause I think they wanted her

(26:45):
to do well.

SPEAKER_00 (26:46):
Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (26:47):
I voted for her.
I felt bad for her.
What's what's her partner'sname?

SPEAKER_02 (26:50):
Alan.

SPEAKER_01 (26:51):
Alan, it was so sad when he's standing up there
alone.

SPEAKER_02 (26:54):
I know, I know.
Yeah, so I was really happy thatthey made it through.
The big news of the night wasthat Andy Richter did not get
eliminated again.
Him and Emma made it throughanother week, and the couple
that was eliminated, spoiler, spoiler alert if you haven't
watched it yet.

(27:15):
Um, but the couple that waseliminated was Jen and Jan.
What do you think of theirdance?
And girl, I have thoughts, butwhat I want to hear what you
have to say about it becausethey they dance Taylor.

SPEAKER_01 (27:27):
I know.
Well, okay.
Well, first of all, I have alegitimate, this is a serious
question.
Do they always like cut thesongs around like that?
Or and I just don't noticebecause I know look what you
made me do, or like the songs.
Okay, so yeah, I guess I justnever noticed that.
Um yeah, I thought it was good.
I I mean, I wished it was alittle bit more like Taylor

(27:50):
inspired.
Like I wish she kind of did someof the moves from the tour, like
when she goes down on her knees, like you know, she's like, oh
Taylor can't come to the phoneright now on her knees.
I was like, oh, do that.

SPEAKER_00 (28:00):
But she did it.

SPEAKER_01 (28:01):
Um, so I was a little disappointed about that.
But otherwise, I thought, Imean, I thought it was great.
It seemed like they it's more,it's less her and it's more Jan.
Yeah.

SPEAKER_02 (28:11):
I was disappointed that they were eliminated.
I feel so bad for this couple, they cannot catch a break on
this show.
And it's both of them.

unknown (28:21):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_02 (28:21):
Like the so another piece of information that's
relevant is that Max uhSchmerkovsky, who is Alex Earl,
his her, you know, her partnerVal.
So he has an older brother, Max,who was a pro on the show for
years, year, like before Val.
Um, I think he came on in seasontwo and was there for like 15

(28:42):
seasons or something.
Damn.
Kind of known for being anasshole.
Like he's very direct.
That's just his personality,it's always been like that.
So he has a podcast with hiswife, Pita, who is also a pro on
the show.
And Max, this week it came out,was said on that podcast, said
that Jan has like no businessbeing a pro, that they need to
only have pros who are ballroomcertified because they're

(29:03):
teaching ballroom.
And Jan isn't ballroomcertified.
He's done other styles, but hehasn't done, you know, like
foxtrot, beanies walls, allthose.
So he was saying that like Jen'sjust at a disadvantage because
the pro never got any likeactual training in those styles.
And so, how can he be expectedto train someone else?
It wasn't like I understood whathe was saying, but that was

(29:27):
definitely in the mix becauseJan like responded to the
comments, I guess.
I don't really know what hesaid, but so he was getting a
lot of hate.
And he had said on in hisinterviews and even like during
the show, he's like, it's hardto ignore the hate.
You're getting so much of it.
So I just obviously he's seenit, and I just felt like that's
so hurtful.
Like, I feel so bad for him.
It's his first time on the show.

(29:48):
I actually think that he's doinggreat choreography.
I don't think it's that muchworse.
I think the judges are just likefor some reason overlooking them
as a couple, which is suchbullshit.
And, you know, I just feel badfor.
I feel bad for both of them.
And I was sad that they wereeliminated because I really wish
that they had like one more weekto try to get at least like a
nine or have some type ofpositivity going their way

(30:09):
because it just felt like thewhole show was just kind of
negative for them.

SPEAKER_01 (30:12):
Yeah.
My job was literally droppedwhen the judges were all like, I
was like, Well, and okay, firstof all, all those haters who are
hating on Jan, like not havingtechnical ballroom dancing,
like, where are they about likethe Jordan Childs of it all?
Like, how can you put heragainst Andy, whatever his last
name is, or even Alex Earl?
Like when she did that harnessthing, I was like, come on,

(30:34):
guys, like this is like she's anOlympic gymnast.

SPEAKER_02 (30:39):
I think the reason I have I don't feel the same way
specifically about Jordan isbecause they've had so many
Olympians come through.
Like they had Simone Biles, theyhad Ali Raisman, they had like
they've had Sean Johnson.
It's not her for me.
It's like that it's like it'sjust not fair.

SPEAKER_01 (30:54):
Um, but yeah, that was that is the only couple that
I voted for 10 times.

SPEAKER_02 (30:59):
Oh, good.
Uh we support.

SPEAKER_01 (31:01):
Yeah.
Well, because I felt so bad.
I don't love Jen.
I really didn't like how she waslike touting uh being like just
eight weeks postpartum orwhatever.
Like, I feel like that's not agood message for women, and that
I don't agree with that.
Um, so that did put a little badtaste in my mouth about her.
But otherwise, like since then,I feel like she's been good and

(31:22):
I feel like she's gotten better.
Like she does the same tricksthat everyone else does.
So that's why, yeah, I was like,it's gotta be him.
But then I'm like, what thefuck?

SPEAKER_02 (31:30):
I know I just I don't know.
Like, I feel like sometimes thejudges just kind of have play
favorites, and I feel like theywere constantly underscored.
I think that they were betterthan you know, I think she's
just as good as like DanielleFischle or like Topanga.

SPEAKER_01 (31:48):
Dylan, Dylan Ephron.
Dylan Efron.
Like, I see them as completeopposites, like they are always
raving about Dylan Ephron.
Yes, and like I don't think hedeserves it that much.
Like he they act like he's thesame as like Robert Irwin, and
he's not totally it's like theopposite, Jen.
They like shit all over, eventhough like she doesn't deserve
it.

SPEAKER_02 (32:07):
I know, I know.
I I feel for her, I feel likethat must be so much to be
dealing with, especially sinceshe is, and I get your point
about not like romanticizing, you know, doing all this stuff
right after you've had a babythat's not realistic for most
women, or you know, we shouldn'tmaybe be glorifying that.
Like, I get that point 100.
But since she is in it, like itmust be so hard to be doing all

(32:28):
of that and like the emotionaltoll of dealing with knowing
that you're not at the top, andlike it doesn't seem like I just
I'm I don't know.
I'm yeah, I hope that shedoesn't have any like issues
after the show from because ofit or negative feelings about
herself.
And I hope that Jan comes back.
I think he needs a redemptionseason.
I really hope that he doesn't,it's not like a one and done for

(32:49):
him because I think he is a goodpro.
Um, yeah, it was just too badthat they left.
But she he did a dancechoreographed with him and Jenna
Johnson, like in between thedances.
Did you see it?
It was to cancel.
Oh, canceled.
Sick.
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (33:03):
Yeah, that was really good.
I would have never known that hedidn't have the same like
training or technical trainingas the other ones.

SPEAKER_02 (33:10):
Yeah.
Well, I do think also like theearly seasons, they were much
more strict on the ballroom ofit all.
Like if you at one point theysomeone, I think it was Cheryl
Burke, who was a pro on the showfor again, like same time frame
as Max early on, season like twoor something, and she was on for
a really long time.
She made a comment to one of thecouples, I can't remember who, I

(33:32):
think it might have been Alexand Val, and she didn't give
them a 10 because during thetango, they broke cold.
Yeah, that type of shit wouldget called out constantly on
like the early seasons.
Like it was very much, yeah.
I think now they're going forlike just stage value, fans, not
as much of like the technicalthis is how you ballroom dance.

SPEAKER_01 (33:55):
Yeah, I didn't really like that judge.
What's her name?
Cheryl.
Cheryl Burke.
Yeah, she seemed kind of pitchy.

SPEAKER_02 (34:02):
So I actually liked her.
I thought she gave like somegood feedback.
She didn't look great.
I hate commenting on her looks, but she looked, she just didn't
look great.
I don't know.

SPEAKER_01 (34:11):
I just felt like she also kept being like, This was
your best dance of the season.
This was the best of the season.
I was like, Bet you're acelebrity judge.
You're like a you're not in andyou're not in every episode.

SPEAKER_02 (34:22):
Totally.
Um, I do think they watched themthough, because like the old
pros like do a lot of likeTikTok reviews on it.
Oh, really?
Yes.
But that's so much pressure.
I know.
Also, though, can we talk aboutthe fact that Derek Huff, like
if we're talking about thejudges, Derek Huff was on one
last night.

SPEAKER_01 (34:43):
Wait, did he?
Okay, so I went to bed likeafter the last dance, and I was
like, I'll just look up who whogot out in the morning or when I
wake up in the middle of thenight.
Did he actually shave his head?

SPEAKER_02 (34:54):
Oh, I don't know.

SPEAKER_01 (34:56):
Um, he got out of it, didn't he?

SPEAKER_02 (34:59):
That's a great call.
I forgot that they did that.
They're a cuff shave.

SPEAKER_01 (35:02):
I mean, probably not if you didn't see it.

SPEAKER_02 (35:05):
Yeah, I didn't see it.
Um, but maybe they didn't after?
No, did not shave his head.

SPEAKER_01 (35:10):
No, they totally like ambushed him on live
television and were like, yousaid this.
I forget what exactly it was,but they were like, there they
played a video of him saying, like, if the if what this
happens, I'll shave my head.
And it happened.
And then he was like, nah, no,they totally ambushed him.

SPEAKER_02 (35:31):
You I do not think that Derek Huff is sexiest
40-year-old alive.
He is not does not do it for me.
Also, he was just like, firstoff, he's just up Mark Ballas's
butt.
Like, I get that they'rebesties, they grew up together,
whatever.
Oh, they are.
So Derek and his sister Juliannewent to live in England with

(35:52):
Mark and his parents when he was11, when they were 11, because
Mark Ballas' parents are likethe best dance teachers in the
world.
So they like grew up together, but I just feel like they he's
just like so over the top aboutMark's choreography.
It's just like roll your eyes.
And then, like, when he brokehis paddle during Andy's dance

(36:13):
and was like, Oh yeah, no moresixes, the drama.
And then he was like insultingCarrie Ann during it, being
like, I don't get any time totalk.
Like, then Carrie Ann do that.

SPEAKER_01 (36:27):
He definitely is like the type, like, I'm the
number one guy.
Oh, that's his vibe.

SPEAKER_02 (36:32):
Brittany, right?

SPEAKER_01 (36:34):
He's like I'm the number one judge.

SPEAKER_02 (36:36):
He's the number one guy in the group.
Oh my god.
Yes, it's a great time.
I was like, oh my god, Derek, relax, dude.
Like, you'll get your time totalk, chill.
You seem really dumb.

SPEAKER_01 (36:49):
Yeah.
And honestly, I feel like I kindof like Julianne Huff less after
watching this too.
But yeah, I think it's thatmight be more because it's just
like the network TV-ness of itall is so cringy to me, but and
like she kind of is like in thecenter of that.
But I also like if you look ather face, it literally doesn't
move.

SPEAKER_02 (37:08):
Oh, I'm gonna definitely check that out now.

SPEAKER_01 (37:10):
Yeah, she's got a shit ton of Bob Talks.

SPEAKER_02 (37:13):
But yeah, I would say to me, like for the rest of
the dances, nothing really stoodout.
I don't think I really had afavorite.
Like Alex and Vals were good.
I didn't love Robert, Robert,and Whitney's.
Like, I thought it was funny.
I did fine.

SPEAKER_01 (37:24):
Oh, I liked theirs.
Yeah, that was good.
Oh no, I don't rememberTapangas.
I feel like hers was meh.

SPEAKER_02 (37:30):
Hers was kind of meh.
Yeah, like they she needsanother big breakout week, I
think.
Hers had the cool storylinethough, where she was like, they
were dancing, and then you findout like mid mid-dance that he
murdered her and she kind of hadlike fake blood.
And so that was cool.
The effects.

SPEAKER_01 (37:46):
Oh, I didn't get that.
Yeah, I didn't get that.
I didn't I thought the songchoice was bad.
I didn't like the song choice ofhers.

SPEAKER_02 (37:53):
Yeah, I can't remember what it was.

SPEAKER_01 (37:56):
It was like I think it's called Die with a Smile.
It was like, Oh, yeah, I didn'tlove theirs.
Um, I thought Whitney's andMarks was really good.
I liked theirs, but I feel likeI'm for some reason not rooting
for them.

SPEAKER_02 (38:08):
Yeah, I thought her intro package was like good for
them.
She needs to be a little bitmore relatable.
I loved the song.
The Green Day song was sick.
Yeah.
I didn't love that dance either.
I thought that they were like alittle out of sync, and I didn't
love like the floppy zombiehands they kept doing.

(38:29):
I it was throwing me off.
I was like, I get it, but I justdidn't like it.
I don't know.
It was distracting.
I also agreed, hate to say itbecause I'm not, she's my least
favorite judge probably, butCarrie Ann's comment about
Jordan and Ezra's harness beingdistracting.
I could not agree with it more.
The when I'm watching it, I'mlike, I don't know if I even
like this.
I'm just distracted by theirharness.

(38:49):
And it seemed like her movesweren't as like sharp because of
it.

SPEAKER_01 (38:53):
Like that one, I just I mean, I still just can't
get over it.
That dance, I was like, she'sdoing gymnastics on the stage.
Like, how can anyone elsecompete with her?
Yeah, no, like the at the endwhen he held her and she was
like in a handstand, like on hishands.
I was like, come on.
No, that's true.

SPEAKER_02 (39:07):
The end pose was crazy.
That's fair, that's totallyfair.
The only other one we haven'ttalked about was, I mean, Andy
and Emma, I don't think I thinkexpectations are low and he did
fine.
Would you agree?
Oh, yeah.
I voted for them.
I didn't vote for them, but Ithink that he did fine.

SPEAKER_01 (39:25):
And I just think I think they're likable.

SPEAKER_02 (39:28):
Yeah, I think they're likable too.
But I'm ready, I don't likewatching him dance anymore.
I'm like ready for him to go.
Yeah, I like him.
I think he's gotten a lot out ofthis experience, it feels yeah,
and has made it longer than hethought he would, but I'm just
yeah, I don't know.
I feel like when they go todance, I'm like, oh, okay, here
we go.
But I'm not like excited for thedance.

SPEAKER_01 (39:48):
Yeah, I could also see like if a woman was in his
position, people wouldn't bevoting for her.

SPEAKER_02 (39:54):
Hmm, interesting.
I could totally see that.
Yeah, I did think that theDaniela and or yeah, Daniela and
Dylan, like the fact that shewas um blindfolded was pretty
cool.

SPEAKER_01 (40:06):
Oh, yeah, that must be so hard.

SPEAKER_02 (40:08):
So hard.
And the fact that he picked aromant, like a romanticy
influence.
I think he said in an interviewafter that it was Horde of Thorn
and Roses.
Oh, really?
I love that.
I was like, okay, Dylan, likeWayda not have any you know,

(40:29):
true hesitation, yeah, not beworried about like man being
manly.

SPEAKER_01 (40:32):
Yeah, that's true.
I feel like it fits for himthough.
I thought it was so awkward whenthey were like, Oh, Dylan, by
the way, you won like sexiestmen under 40 with an arm tattoo
or something.
I was like, what the fuck ispeople like associated with ABC
now?
I don't know.

SPEAKER_02 (40:49):
Yeah, that's hilarious.
I don't know, or maybe they justshouted, you know, shouted it
out because they were both onit, but yeah, like I said, I
think he's just the opposite ofJen.

SPEAKER_01 (40:58):
I feel like he gets like way too much credit than he
deserves.

SPEAKER_02 (41:02):
Agreed.
I think I'm hoping Andy goesnext week, and then I think it's
gonna be either uh Danielle orDylan.
Danielle, yeah, yeah.
And then I think after that it'slike the top, I feel like the
top three.
I can't remember how many peoplemake the finale, but Andy,
Danielle.
They said there's four episodesleft.
Okay.

(41:23):
So that's gotta mean there'sfour people that make finale,
right?

SPEAKER_01 (41:26):
Yeah, and the finale's three hours.

SPEAKER_02 (41:28):
Okay, so for the four, if I were to bet four
people to make finale, Idefinitely think it's like Alex
and Val, Whitney and Mark, andthen Robert and Whitney, I are
are shoe-ins.
I think the fourth spot is gonnabe either Jordan and Ezra or
Elaine and Alan.
I do think Elaine and Alan havefan, a fan base.

SPEAKER_01 (41:48):
No, I agree.
And I feel like she's like comea long way, and I feel like
she's really like, you know, being out of her comfort zone
more so than Jordan, obviously.

SPEAKER_00 (41:57):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (41:58):
Um, and I feel like she's more likable.
Me too.
But I do worry, I'm like, areyou doing stuff that's too hard
for you?
Like she's like, Oh, I'm 55 andI can do all this.
Blah blah blah.
It's like, can you?

SPEAKER_02 (42:08):
I know, and she was like, I feel like my rib is
twisted, I feel like my muscleslike twisted under my rib.
I was like, ow, are you?
Yeah, and then you see whatthey're doing.
And I like one of the flips thathe had for her in that dance, I
was like, Whoa, you're doingthat when you're hurt with a rib
injury?
Like that feels yeah dangerous.

SPEAKER_01 (42:25):
Yeah, yeah.
I know.
Well, that like I said, I wassurprised they even got through
it.
Yeah, so um, but yeah, I hope Ihope she makes it far.

SPEAKER_02 (42:32):
Me too.

SPEAKER_01 (42:33):
I think did you watch they had like a dance off
or something at the end?
I missed that.

SPEAKER_02 (42:38):
Yeah, they did.
I don't love when they do thatbecause you get extra points if
you win.
So, like, yeah.
So like Elaine and Allencouldn't get any points, but
then and then like Andy and Emmawere first out, which wasn't a
surprise.
So they got one extra point, butthen the winners get five extra
points, which like when the maxyou can get is 30.
That makes a pretty bigdifference.

SPEAKER_01 (42:58):
Um are they all like doing the same dance?
How did it work?

SPEAKER_02 (43:01):
Yeah, they're all doing like the same genre, and
then they have to choreographtheir own within these little
squares.
I mean, Mark and Whitney won.
I don't, of course.
So I don't know if they shouldhave.
I don't know.
It's hard for me to like, Idon't like those things because
I don't you have to you can'twatch everyone at once.
Yeah, and it feels I don't know.

SPEAKER_01 (43:21):
Yeah, for the amount of effort they have to put in to
get their points, like theirmain points.
It seems like they don't have todo a lot to get these bonus
points.

SPEAKER_02 (43:29):
But also, as like an audience viewer, it's like
sometimes they'll do like danceoff, so there'll be two couples
facing off, and then the couplethat wins gets like an extra two
points.
That's better because you can atleast like kind of watch both
couples at the same time andmake it make a judgment.
But when there's nine of themgoing, it's like I don't even
know what you know.

SPEAKER_01 (43:46):
Yeah, I'm not surprised Whitney and Mark won.
I'm I feel like I'm not rootingfor them.

SPEAKER_02 (43:51):
Yeah, agreed.
Um, but it's gonna be a goodepisode.
I mean, it's been a good season,so excited to see what happens.

SPEAKER_00 (43:58):
What's next week, did they say?

SPEAKER_02 (44:00):
Rock and roll hall of fame.

SPEAKER_00 (44:02):
Rock and roll.
That's next.
That's next.

SPEAKER_02 (44:05):
Oh, um, yeah, it's gonna be great.
That's all the time we have foryou guys.
