SPEAKER_00 (00:00):
Ready?
Ready?
Hey everyone.
Welcome back to the latestepisode of Snitchin.
It's your host, Kristen.
SPEAKER_01 (00:07):
And Britney, get
ready for the best part of your
day.
SPEAKER_00 (00:10):
It's another week.
We're into November.
Happy November, snitches.
Yes.
November.
It's a tough time of yearbecause we just had daylight
savings yesterday.
It's just, you know what it is?
The end of the season is of thewinter season is very difficult.
Like the beginning of November,it's getting into holidays,
(00:31):
which is great, but it's alsolike a very stark reminder at
this time of year that we'rejust at the beginning.
SPEAKER_01 (00:37):
Oh, yeah.
I have a special, a specialhatred for this time of year
when I have to bring my coatout.
When you have to bring your coatout, yes.
Yeah.
It's like you're starting towear sweaters.
Like I feel like you're likereally transitioning into
winter.
And I'm like, I'm freezing cold,I'm freezing cold.
And then I look at my phone,it's like 40 degrees out.
And I'm like, wow, you got along way to go, girl.
You got a long way to go.
SPEAKER_00 (00:57):
That's what it is.
Stand down that dark tunnel.
We're at the start of themarathon.
So that's what's difficult.
But then it's like you getthrough, you know, the holidays.
And then it's like Januarysucks, but I feel like February
is particularly brutal becausenow it's like you're not at the
starting line, but you've beenhere for so long.
And it's still at least a monthaway till you're starting to
(01:21):
even consider spring weather.
So it's, you know, if anyoneelse out there is struggling
this week with seasonaldepression is real.
You're not alone.
You missed it last year.
SPEAKER_01 (01:34):
So I wonder if
you'll have less seasonal
depression, or maybe you'll havemore.
SPEAKER_00 (01:38):
I know.
I don't know.
We're gonna see.
Yeah.
I mean, I was I was literallygone for the entire January
through April.
So you picked a great winter tomiss.
SPEAKER_01 (01:47):
Last winter was so
terrible.
That's what I heard.
Oh my god, it was so it was socold.
You know, why was December wasso cold, and then it just felt
like the winter was just like somuch longer.
SPEAKER_00 (01:57):
Yeah, no complaints
over here.
Yeah.
I'm hoping that this this winterisn't as bad.
But even with that, you know, wehad a great Halloween weekend.
Um we did.
Yeah, let's talk about it.
How was your weekend, Britt?
SPEAKER_01 (02:15):
Mine was good.
I mean, obviously, we hadHalloween on Friday night.
That was really fun.
Otherwise, I didn't do a tonelse.
I've been reading the fourthBoys of Tomin book, the Joey and
Afa, and I like literally can'tput it down.
It's very, very good.
Yeah.
It's what and it's it's cool, like because you and you kind of
do have to read like the firsttwo books, even though those
ones like aren't as good thatthat couple, because it it like
(02:37):
now the part I'm at, theirstories are kind of
intertwining.
So you're hearing about like thesame thing that happened from
someone else's perspective, andyou're like, you know, some of
the things that happen in thefuture from but you don't like
know exactly how they get there.
I don't know, it's just likereally it's different.
I've never read a book likethat, but it's good.
SPEAKER_00 (02:54):
I've heard that that
couple's storyline, Joey.
How do you pronounce her name?
Eva.
Eva.
I've heard that's the best ofthe Boys of Tom and couples.
My sisters told me that I wasactually at my nephew's um
championship Super Bowl flagfootball game yesterday, which
they did, it was very cute.
They did end up losing.
(03:15):
There might have been sometears.
Okay, we're moving on.
Yeah, we're moving on.
But one of the moms there alsoreads the series, and we were
talking about that.
And it was um mutually agreedupon between her and my sister
that Gibsy's storyline, eventhough she did say Gibbs is her
favorite character, that thatcouple is her least favorite
(03:35):
couple in the books, but thatJoey and Eva are by far the
best.
So this is like a veryconsistent thing, I'm hearing.
SPEAKER_01 (03:43):
Yeah, that's kind of
what Sammy said too.
She said Gibsy and Claire's booklike actually isn't that good.
Because I'm like, I feel like Istill feel like I would be a
Gipsy girl.
Me too.
Joey's a little too dark for me.
Me too.
Johnny's a little too blah forme.
SPEAKER_00 (03:58):
Johnny's last on the
list.
I don't need the I don't know.
Johnny, yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (04:04):
I like him so much
better in in these books.
I guess a supporting character.
SPEAKER_00 (04:08):
Oh, really?
SPEAKER_01 (04:09):
Much more likable.
Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (04:11):
Yeah.
I think it was like maybe too.
I mean, we've said this before.
Like, he's too much like theRyan.
Um, what's Ryan in the OCL name?
Atwood.
He's too much of the Ryan RyanAtwood.
He's too brooding.
Like, where's the lightness?
Where's the sense of humor?
I need to make a joke once in awhile.
I want to smile.
I mean, I know obviously theirwhole relationship was dark and
(04:33):
very tough.
That's what I'm talking about.
SPEAKER_01 (04:37):
No, but Joey and
Ifa's relationship is way darker
and way harder.
SPEAKER_00 (04:41):
Oh, interesting.
Okay.
I mean, uh, I just need to getthrough the second one.
I've I've totally stalled.
I mean, totally stalled.
SPEAKER_01 (04:50):
I know.
I know it's tough.
And I liked the third one, butfourth one, I think, is a lot
better than third.
SPEAKER_00 (04:55):
Okay.
Well, I mean, it's giving memotivation to push through.
I wonder, they really do need tomake this a series of some sort.
Oh, I know.
For sure.
It's not a movie.
They need to do a series, theyneed to Bridgerton this up.
Oh, yeah.
Let's get Sean.
They should.
I mean, they have so manyseasons already plotted out.
(05:17):
They already have a huge fanbase.
And like, I mean, you can thisis literally textbooks.
They could go on and on and on.
It's textbook Bridgerton.
You know, like they just makeevery season a book.
SPEAKER_01 (05:27):
And like they, yeah,
they could go on for days.
They could just start talkingabout other characters.
SPEAKER_00 (05:31):
Like, yeah, totally.
SPEAKER_01 (05:34):
They need that.
But how's your weekend?
SPEAKER_00 (05:37):
It was good.
Um, yeah, I had a lot of funtrick-or-treating.
So I went over to Brittany's onFriday night.
We had some friends come overwith their kiddos.
It was very cute.
And we were actually talkingabout like I think the entire
time.
I mean, granted, you know, wehad pizza before.
They came over, everyone cameover.
We were probably hanging out atthe house for like 30 minutes to
(05:58):
an hour before we left.
The entirety of being outside, what do you I think 40 minutes?
45 minutes?
SPEAKER_01 (06:06):
Yeah.
Yeah, probably.
Yeah.
Felt like longer.
SPEAKER_00 (06:09):
Well, in my mind,
this is what's so funny about
like being a kid versus versusan adult, because I have
memories of going outtrick-or-treating and feeling
like I had literally been outthere for hours.
Like, oh yeah, yeah.
All night.
I asked my father yesterday, I'mlike, how long?
Because he used to be the onereally to take me
trick-or-treating.
And I'd be like, like, how longwould we be out?
And he was like, I don't know, maybe, maybe an hour.
(06:31):
And I'm like, that's crazy.
I because it just feels so long.
I feel like the boys were likeliving life and probably felt
that they had beentrick-or-treating for hours on
end.
SPEAKER_01 (06:42):
Oh, they definitely
did.
Yeah.
It was like Disney World forthem.
I feel like I have a newappreciation for Halloween.
Or maybe not that.
I feel like I've always kind ofliked Halloween, but like
sometimes I'm like, is thatweird?
I don't know.
But I actually think it's notweird.
It's fun because I like candyand I like walking outside.
And I like that it's like youcan do it with your friends.
And yeah, it's fun dressing up.
(07:04):
Yeah, no.
SPEAKER_00 (07:06):
I like it too.
It's fun.
I like seeing all the littlekids.
And I do think social media ishonestly great around Halloween
because there were so many funnycostumes I saw online.
Okay, one guy.
I saw this one TikTok.
This guy went, I would have lostit if I saw this dude in person.
He went as an actual wordleboard.
SPEAKER_01 (07:29):
Whoa.
He had you like play?
SPEAKER_00 (07:33):
Yes.
SPEAKER_01 (07:34):
Wow.
That's your man.
SPEAKER_00 (07:36):
Oh my god, right?
Yes.
No, who is this man?
Is he single?
Like literally the best thingI've ever seen.
It was a white board, justposter board that he had.
It was on a chain around hisneck.
And he had almost um flashcardstyle for each letter.
And so you would flip over tothe letter that you wanted to
play, and he would go around andlike just ask people to play the
(07:59):
next word.
And then, you know.
SPEAKER_01 (08:00):
Oh, oh, what a great
way to like get talking to
people too.
SPEAKER_00 (08:04):
Oh my God.
I mean, I think it was the bestone that I saw online.
But I also did see one of he, myfriend, and he sent me one of a
person who was like, I mean, itwas massive, like uh the White
House, but with the East Wingdestroyed, which I thought was
it was very detailed and veryfunny.
SPEAKER_01 (08:23):
That sounds how do
you make that a costume?
SPEAKER_00 (08:26):
Yeah, Brittany, I'll
send you the photo.
It was, I mean, maybe we shouldpost the photos.
I it was intense, like it wascrazy.
And then there was also one of anewborn baby, or maybe not
newborn, but couldn't, I mean,definitely not walking.
So under I don't know how oldnine months or something.
Really bald baby.
They put a turban on its head, and the mom drew Voldemort on
(08:47):
the back of the baby's head.
SPEAKER_01 (08:49):
So he was-done that
with Tyler last year.
SPEAKER_00 (08:52):
It was really good.
That's funny.
SPEAKER_01 (08:55):
That's funny.
Love the Harry Potter costume.
SPEAKER_00 (08:58):
But that, yeah, so
that was good.
And then I also saw somethingthat was like a British person
who lives in Boston, and shewent to Back Bay and Beacon Hill
to see all of the housesdecorated.
And she said something like, I'min the best city in America to
celebrate Halloween.
Huh.
What do you think of that?
SPEAKER_01 (09:18):
I am surprised to
hear that.
I mean, maybe because it's old,but honestly, if anything, I
felt like when I was inCharleston, I mean, I wonder if
you think this too.
When I was in Charleston, theywere going all out on Halloween.
Like all the houses decorated, all the restaurants.
I was like, wow, they reallylike Halloween down here.
I would have said Charleston.
SPEAKER_00 (09:37):
That's not what I
would have thought of, but I
could so see it.
I kind of think any very old, historic, spooky town qualifies
as a good place.
Charleston, 1000%.
If we're on that same track, Iwould say New Orleans.
They always have ghost tours, kind of haunted houses.
I think people just seem funthere.
They seem into that.
(09:58):
1000%.
I do see her point about Boston, though, when I got to thinking
about it, because New England isknown for its foliage.
The witch trials.
The witch trials.
We have Salem.
That's probably the number oneHalloween town in this in the
country.
SPEAKER_01 (10:16):
Yeah.
Yeah.
Do you are you a big Hocus Pocusfan?
Yeah.
I watched it with Connor.
Well, yeah, I was like kind ofwatching it with Connor earlier
this week.
And it's supposed to be inSalem, right?
Yeah.
It's definitely not shot inSalem.
Looks maybe I just don't knowSalem.
SPEAKER_00 (10:35):
Yeah, the some of
them it is.
So like Allison's house is inSalem.
You can go by it.
Yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (10:39):
I knew that.
I knew that.
SPEAKER_00 (10:40):
Their house, um,
like Zachary Banks' house, where
they break the roof.
That's in Salem.
I've gone by there.
They've shot they did shoot likesome of it.
SPEAKER_01 (10:49):
Oh.
Wait, what makes you thinkthough you just don't know
Salem?
Well, no, I just picture Salemas more of like a like a beachy
town.
Like it's like not beachy, butit's like on the water, right?
Yeah.
Like I picture it to be kind oflike Gloucester.
SPEAKER_00 (11:02):
No, it's definitely
it's on the water for sure.
I mean, I took a sea, I took aferry there.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, I mean, I think it's justlike part of the downtown is,
but then there's like theneighborhoods that are you can't
see the water from there.
But yeah.
I mean, Salem.
I I went to Salem a few weeksago.
I might have talked about it onthe pod.
It was really fun, but it'sreally, it's really intense.
(11:24):
It's really, really crowded.
And it's also like, I feel likea place where not just, you
know, families and people cometo be festive.
That's the key.
You got like the Wiccans outthere, and that's a tough group.
People that are really intoHalloween.
Yeah.
But I did kind of think, oh,that's an interesting take from
a foreign person.
SPEAKER_01 (11:45):
Interesting take.
SPEAKER_00 (11:45):
I love that.
With all the foliage, with theold New England, you know,
houses, with Salem.
I I actually do think Bostoncould be in like a top five
contention for best cities to bein during Halloween.
SPEAKER_01 (11:59):
I could see that.
Yeah, me too.
Okay, is this a dumb question?
Do they celebrate Halloween inother countries?
SPEAKER_00 (12:05):
Yeah, I think so.
That's not a dumb question.
I let me actually double checkthat.
SPEAKER_01 (12:10):
They do on Bluey,
which is in Australia, but I
don't know if that's justbecause it's kid show.
SPEAKER_00 (12:18):
Okay.
Is Halloween celebratedworldwide?
Hold please, hold please.
No.
Okay.
Well, so AI is telling us.
No, Halloween is not celebrateduniversally, but it is
celebrated in some form in manycountries.
Um, North America and Canada isfamous for Halloween traditions
like trick-or-treating, butthere's other countries that
(12:39):
have their own unique customs.
So it says like United Kingdom, there's a mix of ancient and
modern traditions, includingcostume wearing, pumpkin fairs,
ghost tours, Ireland.
Oh, that's bigger.
It says here, again, Google, Idon't know, but it says
Ireland's considered thebirthplace of Halloween.
(13:00):
Really?
unknown (13:01):
Hmm.
SPEAKER_00 (13:02):
Yes.
It says from the ancient Celticfestival or Celtic.
Is it Celtic or Celtic?
So it's with the C.
Um, Festival of Samheim, which Idon't know if I'm pronouncing
that correctly.
But yeah, no, it seems likethere's a lot of countries that
like do celebrate it, but maybeit's more so that we are the
only ones that dotrick-or-treating.
SPEAKER_01 (13:22):
That makes sense.
That makes sense.
unknown (13:23):
Hmm.
SPEAKER_01 (13:24):
Well, they should
get on board because
trick-or-treating is fun.
SPEAKER_00 (13:26):
Yeah, so that was
really fun seeing them.
And I think they had a greattime.
I think all the kids had a greattime.
I mean, Tyler was that littlepig, was just loving his little
life, eating all that candy.
SPEAKER_01 (13:36):
His costume, yeah,
his costume was very fitting
because he ended up with likenothing in his basket because he
would just go to a house andthen eat what he got and then go
to the next house and then eatwhat he got.
So he didn't get as much candyas the others, but I think he
was fine.
SPEAKER_00 (13:54):
Should we maybe
pivot to we don't really have, I
would say, like topicsnecessarily for today.
We are gonna come to with asnitch session, but a lot of the
news that we've been seeing overthe weekend is really just
related to Halloween costumes.
So we're gonna talk through someof the big ones that made
headlines.
Okay, cool.
Um, starting off with the onethat I would say is maybe the
(14:17):
most controversial, Julia Fox ismaking headlines for a very
controversial outfit where shedressed as Jackie Kennedy right
after JFK's assassination, whereshe has blood on her pink suit.
This, you know, spurred a lot ofoutrage.
JFK's grandson came out and saidthat basically it was disgusting
(14:38):
and that she's glorifyingpolitical violence.
What do you think?
SPEAKER_01 (14:44):
I don't know.
I mean, I feel like it's like,is Halloween always the time to
make a big political statement?
I don't know.
But like, I don't think it'sthat bad.
SPEAKER_00 (14:53):
I mean, it's
definitely a bold choice, but
also Julia Fox, she's one ofthose people that does gimmicks
to get headlines.
That changes my opinion.
Well, what else is she reallyknown?
Like, what else does she knowfrom?
SPEAKER_01 (15:05):
She's mad men, she's
mad men, right?
I don't think so.
Isn't she the main guy'sgirlfriend in Mad Men?
No, she looks just like her.
It was like his secretary, heleft his wife for her.
She's like younger, and thenthey end up divorcing too.
SPEAKER_00 (15:20):
I couldn't tell you.
All I know from her was she isan actress, and she was in that
movie Uncut Gems.
Do you remember she like hadthat little viral moment where
she was like uncut gems?
She was the one who kind of saidit funny, and so people like
dubbed the audio and made it athing.
Oh no.
Okay.
It's probably a thing I missedon TikTok.
(15:41):
Yeah, it was kind of like it.
She did have a moment, it waslike a little cultural moment,
but she also was known fordating Kanye.
That's when I first heard hername.
Oh, yeah.
So I don't know.
I I feel like she's kind ofknown for doing things that are
out there to get attention.
So I guess that's all to saythat I'm not shocked that she
(16:03):
would do something like this.
SPEAKER_01 (16:06):
Yeah.
If that's the case, then like,ew, I don't know.
I think that's a bad look.
SPEAKER_00 (16:12):
She defended her
costume choice, though.
She said that her, that JackieKennedy's decision to not change
outfits, even after beingencouraged to on the day of her
husband's assassination, was anact of extraordinary bravery.
It was performance, protest, andmourning all at once, a woman
weaponizing image and grace toexpose brutality.
It's about trauma, power, andhow femininity itself is a form
(16:34):
of resistance.
So I mean, she yeah.
I think she knew that when shedid this, it was gonna get a lot
of backlash.
You don't put a costume on likethis, you know, without being
able to take the brunt of somecriticism.
I think it did the job ofgetting people's attention,
whether it really did what shewanted it to do, to be an act,
(16:55):
like to represent, you know, astatement of symbolism and like
feminine resistance.
That's weak.
SPEAKER_01 (17:02):
Yeah, I don't
resistance.
Oh, I think because like shewouldn't take the the blood
stained thing off or somethinglike Jackie Kennedy.
But that's like so niche.
SPEAKER_00 (17:11):
Yeah, that's what
she said.
She said when her husband wasassassinated, she refused to
change out of her bloodstainedclothes, saying, I want them to
see what they've done.
So the image of the delicatepink suit splattered with blood
is one of the most hauntingjuxtapositions in modern
history.
So that and that's when she wenton to say like her decision to
not change clothes after e afterbeing encouraged to was an act
of extraordinary bravery, wasperformance protest and
(17:33):
mourning.
Um interesting.
Yeah.
I just think that like maybe hermessage was lost, you know.
Yeah.
I don't know if people wouldhave necessarily gotten that
from seeing it.
Yeah.
But I do, I mean, I kind ofunderstand what she's saying
about like make them look atwhat they've done, especially
like in the scheme of thepolitical climate.
(17:54):
Yeah.
But yeah, that's she seems justthirsty.
SPEAKER_01 (17:59):
Now I think she's
just thirsty.
SPEAKER_00 (18:00):
Me too.
I think that she's someone whojust wants to get a headline.
So mission accomplished, ifthat's the case.
SPEAKER_01 (18:06):
Yeah, we're talking
about her now.
SPEAKER_00 (18:08):
So we're the other
one that I saw that made some
headlines was Travis Kelsey'sex, actually, Kayla Nicole.
Oh, yeah.
She went as Tony Braxton and sheput on an Instagram, you know,
video on her page of herdancing.
She looked like killer.
I mean, her body is insane.
Yeah, she looked good.
Yeah, it's a very risque outfit.
(18:30):
Um, but the the main reasonpeople are talking about this is
because they think it's a dig atTravis.
She was singing Tony's song, HeWasn't Man Enough.
SPEAKER_01 (18:39):
So I feel like
that's a weak correlation.
But the fact that, like, I sawthat people were like her
friends and stuff werecommenting, making comments,
like suggesting that it was kindof like a a dig at Taylor and
Travis.
So maybe she meant for it to be,and it just was supposed to be
really subtle.
But I don't know.
(19:00):
How do you know that that's whatshe was doing?
Like, was she really trying tolike throw shade at Travis?
SPEAKER_00 (19:05):
Oh, I see what
you're saying.
So you think that people sayingthat it's a dig at Travis is
weak.
Yeah.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
I'm fair with that.
Like, maybe she just wanted tolook, maybe she just wanted to
look good and likes TonyBraxton.
SPEAKER_01 (19:19):
Right.
Yeah.
Like, I don't think that I mean,yeah.
How long ago do they date?
SPEAKER_00 (19:25):
I mean, her Taylor
and Travis have been together
for two and a half years.
So maybe like at the least thatamount.
SPEAKER_01 (19:32):
Yeah, it's like, why
do you still care?
SPEAKER_00 (19:34):
Unless it's like one
of those things also where she's
trying to stay relevant by justgetting a headline attached to
her name, which is definitely beit.
But I like giving her thebenefit of the doubt where it's
like maybe she's not becauseit's not really a good look to
be like throwing shade at yourex of you know, over two and a
half years.
So I kind of like what whatyou're saying of like that could
be weak.
(19:55):
Maybe she just wanted to lookkiller and like Sony Braxton and
did that for Halloween, andthat's where it ends.
SPEAKER_01 (20:01):
Yeah, I don't know.
I mean, I don't know.
Part of me thinks that she waskind of trying to dig at them,
but like not enough that wouldit would be like obvious.
SPEAKER_00 (20:10):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (20:11):
Like she kind of
chickened out a little.
SPEAKER_00 (20:13):
I thought that also
she's famous for.
I don't really think she'sfamous for anything other than
just having dated Travis.
She went on the reality TV showSpecial Forces.
Other than that, I really don'tknow if she has, I don't, I just
don't know enough about her, butI don't think she was famous for
anything.
SPEAKER_01 (20:31):
Weird.
Well, apparently she likes herphone.
And I hate people that arealways on their phones, so I
think that's a fair shot.
SPEAKER_00 (20:40):
There you go.
Some other ones that made news,Heidi Clume, obviously the Queen
of Halloween.
She went as Medusa.
It was cool.
It's great.
Yeah, I mean, it was great.
SPEAKER_01 (20:51):
It was just like
clearly you just had like a shit
ton of makeup on and spent a lotof money on this costume and
then wore it.
It's not that impressive.
I don't know.
SPEAKER_00 (21:00):
Again, yeah, I
thought it was like, it was
good, it was fine.
I expect her now to go so bigthat it's like almost, yeah, you
can't even tell who it is.
Um, and yeah, it was it wasfine.
My personal favorite of thewhole weekend in terms of
celebrities was Justin and HaleyBieber's kiddos jazz.
SPEAKER_01 (21:15):
Me too.
Me too.
Do you want to tell him?
So cute.
Well, yeah, that he dressed uplike a little beeber.
SPEAKER_00 (21:21):
He was so sweet.
His outfit, I think it's fromthe one one less lonely girl,
one less lonely girl era.
I don't know if it was a baby.
Maybe it was baby.
Yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (21:31):
Even baby.
It was like the jean jacket withthe purple hood, right?
SPEAKER_00 (21:35):
Yep.
White jean jacket, purple hood.
It was so cute.
SPEAKER_01 (21:39):
I hate how they I
mean, I I totally understand if
they don't want to show hisface, but I hate when they like
show only the back of their heador something.
It's like just don't show themat all.
SPEAKER_00 (21:48):
Oh, really?
See that like that's literallysomething that wouldn't even
cross my mind.
SPEAKER_01 (21:52):
Really?
I just think it's like a tease.
It's like annoying.
Like if you want to hide yourkid, then hide him.
SPEAKER_00 (21:57):
Okay.
I see your point.
Again, just like literally thatthought never would have even
like entered my brain.
It just wasn't there.
Yeah, it was it was the baby.
I think it's baby.
So as Belbers will remember, thebaby singer often wore white
jeans with a white jacket over apurple hoodie.
Oh, it's during his tour.
It was like an outfit he woreduring his my world tour.
SPEAKER_01 (22:19):
Yeah, when he opened
for Taylor for Fearless.
SPEAKER_00 (22:23):
It was his own world
tour.
SPEAKER_01 (22:25):
Yeah, but that was
like right around the same time.
Because remember, he was like,he opened for Taylor.
I think it was Fearless.
And I remember when I went atthat point, he was like almost
pretty much like just as big asher.
And then he I think I don't knowif he left early or something,
but he dropped right like rightat the end.
He started his own tour.
SPEAKER_00 (22:42):
Okay, that's good to
know.
Um, yeah, I'm seeing 2010 is anarticle saying that the My World
Tour is going to be held atAugust 15th.
So yeah, that would have beenlike right around that time.
Good call.
Right after.
Yeah, it was so cute.
I absolutely loved it.
That was my favorite celebcostume of the weekend.
SPEAKER_01 (23:00):
Yeah, that was my
favorite too.
I'm trying to think if I sawanyone else's.
I feel like not really.
I mean, a lot of celebrities,it's like they just have a lot
of money to like buy aridiculous costume.
Yeah.
Oh, I did see though.
Did you see uh the Kardashians?
I think it was Chloe, had like ahuge Halloween party for the
kids.
(23:21):
Oh, fun.
No, I didn't see that.
Yeah, it was like all deckedout.
I mean, honestly, I didn't knowhow I felt about it because I
was like, this is kind ofwasteful.
Like, you should have seen allthe shit there.
It was like every single colorpaint, every single color
pencil, a bunch, like all thesecrafts, like this gigantic craft
table.
Like it just seemed a littleexcessive, but yeah, it seemed
(23:42):
fun.
I'm sure Chloe puts on a goodparty.
SPEAKER_00 (23:44):
I mean, that's like
so their brand.
They go so over the top foreverything.
I feel like their Christmas Eveparties are like famous for
being just over the topopulence, extravagance, all the
crazy stuff.
SPEAKER_01 (23:57):
There's so many
people in the world who who need
money and who are suffering.
I just feel like that's I don'tlike that look.
SPEAKER_00 (24:04):
Yeah.
Oh, sister.
I mean, I could go on a wholeother tangent about that.
But yeah, no, I get thattotally.
Um, I do think it's very muchhow they are, and so it doesn't
surprise me.
But I get what you're saying forsure.
Yeah.
unknown (24:16):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (24:16):
Yeah.
I would say the only other thingthat maybe to shout out before
we get into our snitch sessionto wrap up our episode is the
Patriots won yesterday atGillette.
Wasn't our best win.
It it was a good game.
I felt like we were doing reallywell in the first half and then
just, I don't know, like lostconfidence in the second half.
It was very it was it was agritty win, but we won.
(24:39):
We won.
We'll take it.
A win is a win.
SPEAKER_01 (24:41):
I only watched the
end when it was like 23 to 24.
SPEAKER_00 (24:44):
I know.
I mean, we really did get luckywith them missing an extra
point.
So that obviously was big, butwe did end up, you know, doing
what we needed to do to be ableto like hold on to the ball,
close out the game, whatever.
But the big news outside of thewin, which, you know, let's go
patz, is Cardi B was inattendance and sat next to
Robert Kraft during the game.
SPEAKER_01 (25:06):
Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (25:06):
So weird.
Oh my god, Britt.
What I would have been given tobe a fly on that wall.
SPEAKER_01 (25:12):
Yeah, because she
dates Stefan Diggs, right?
SPEAKER_00 (25:15):
Yeah, she's pregnant
with his baby.
SPEAKER_01 (25:17):
Yeah, okay, right.
Yeah, I like him.
And I'm all about it.
Bring the celebrities, bringthem on.
SPEAKER_00 (25:23):
Bring them on, yeah.
No, definitely.
And she did the like celebrationdance.
That's like the new Patcelebration dance.
It was really cute.
She looked great.
She had this maroon, likesnakeskin.
It looked like jacket on.
But I was just, it was just, Iwas giggling, you know, looking
at them.
Like, what do you think thatthey're talking about up there?
Yeah.
For real.
SPEAKER_01 (25:43):
Maybe Stefan.
I don't know.
I don't know.
But I also think Robert Kraft isa little ick.
You think?
Like, I could see him liking totalk to people like that.
SPEAKER_00 (25:52):
Like famous people?
SPEAKER_01 (25:54):
I don't know.
Yeah.
Just like women.
SPEAKER_00 (25:57):
Yeah.
I loved seeing her there.
I hope we see her more.
I like seeing her together.
SPEAKER_01 (26:02):
I like her songs.
SPEAKER_00 (26:03):
Yeah.
And it's, you know, like our ownlittle NFL wag like Taylor's
version.
It's like the Bills have HaleySteinfeld, Chiefs have Taylor.
Pats are gonna have Cardi B.
SPEAKER_01 (26:13):
Yeah.
I love it.
Bring on all the slabs.
SPEAKER_00 (26:16):
Bring on all the
slabs.
So that was a fun little moment.
And yeah, go Pats.
We're crushing it.
Yeah.
I wonder what Bill Bolichukthinks.
Oh my God, he's he's in a holeright now.
Him and Jordan.
I mean, we are totally movingon.
We're in a new era.
He's he's old news, like, andhe's ruined his legacy.
SPEAKER_01 (26:36):
What has he not been
the coach for two years, maybe
too?
I feel like it happened kind ofovernight.
Like they didn't really havethat many bad seasons without
him.
I mean, who knows?
This they might just be gettinglucky this year.
But so far it's a good season.
SPEAKER_00 (26:48):
It's definitely the
coaching, it's definitely the
quarterback.
Like they have a way betteroffense.
They're like it's a way betterteam.
It's it's and I think it is alot to do with like Vrabel.
I mean, even him when Drake Maywas he Drake May didn't have a
great game.
And like Vrabel was over theretalking to him.
Like, I've all I hear about thiscoach is that he's in the locker
room, putting pads on, runningthe plays with the players.
(27:11):
I just feel like Bill, likeeverything you hear about when
Bill was here, like I just heardthat he was like an ass
discipline and discipline.
SPEAKER_01 (27:18):
He was discipline.
Seems kind of old school.
SPEAKER_00 (27:21):
Yeah, old school,
discipline.
And I just don't think withoutthe Brady magic, it worked.
And then like they just didn'thave a very good team either.
I mean, I remember last yeartoo, when like Drake May, I
remember this being like, let'snot play him because we don't
have an offensive line goodenough to protect him.
He's gonna get hurt, like ourteam sucks.
And so, like this year they gotWill Campbell, like they've
gotten a whole better offense.
So I think it's all of it.
SPEAKER_01 (27:42):
Yeah, maybe it
really was Brady just carrying
him.
SPEAKER_00 (27:46):
Yeah, I mean, it's
definitely made me think more so
that it was him.
SPEAKER_01 (27:49):
Yeah, agreed.
SPEAKER_00 (27:51):
But um, but yeah,
our last session or our last um
segment for today.
Last little part.
Yeah, last little part for thisepisode.
We have a snitch session.
We're so excited.
Um, so let's get into it.
Snitch session.
This one has to do withfriendship.
So here we go.
Um, dear snitches, I have a goodfriend who I've known since
(28:13):
middle school.
We've always been close, butlately I feel like our
friendship has become completelyone-sided.
She only reaches out to me whenshe needs something, a ride at
the airport, a shoulder to cryon after a bad date, or someone
to help her move.
She'll talk for hours about herown problems, but doesn't take
any time to ask me about mylife.
We haven't spent as much timetogether lately, and I'm tired
of feeling like her emotionalsupport system.
But the thought of ending thefriendship after so long is
(28:34):
devastating.
Is it worth confronting her?
Ooh, I would cut this girlloose.
I think it's like, I think a lotof people struggle with this,
especially as you get intoadulthood, 20s, and 30s.
Like just because you've knownsomeone for a really long time
doesn't necessarily mean thattheir friendship is worth more.
Like the history doesn't equal amore valuable friendship.
(28:58):
Totally agree.
Yeah.
unknown (29:00):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (29:00):
I mean, I feel like
maybe because of all the like
the history, like the years thatthey've been friends, maybe it's
worth like trying to have aconversation and saying, like,
this is how I feel, whatever.
But if they don't reciprocate, Iwould just move on and find new
friends.
People change.
Sadly.
People change.
SPEAKER_00 (29:19):
Yeah.
I mean, I definitely thinkthat's a good point.
Like, it just, I don't feel likeyou should feel pressure or
guilty or bad about yourself ifyou do choose to end the
friendship.
Like, it's not saying thatyou're a bad friend or that you,
you know, there's anything likewrong with you by doing that.
But I do think, you know, everyone has their blind spots.
Like, no, no one can seethemselves perfectly.
She might not know that she'sbeing really one sided or like,
(29:41):
I don't know, maybe she's goingthrough it or whatever.
But I definitely think it'sworth it if you've been friends
with her for so long to at leastlike give her the chance to
explain herself or just like lether know that this is bothering
you and see if her behaviorchanges.
So I do think that you shouldtalk to her about it.
SPEAKER_01 (29:58):
Yeah.
Yeah.
But you know what?
Our girl Glennon, what would shesay?
What would do what's right foryou?
SPEAKER_00 (30:06):
Worst case scenario,
it doesn't go well, and you do
lose that friendship.
But like it sounds like theother option that you're
weighing is not confronting herand just kind of not really
continuing to make any kind oftotally.
So, like either way, worst casescenario, you don't end up, you
know, keeping this friendship, but at least like you can not
(30:27):
have that feeling of like, did Ido enough on my end?
So I would, I think it is.
I would probably try to point tosome of these like specifics
that you're mentioning here.
Like, try to make it more likehere's what, like
evidence-based.
Like, here are the reasons why Ifeel this way.
You know, you asked me for aride to the airport, you asked
me to help you move, you askedme, you know, like you called me
(30:50):
when you needed help.
Like, I want to do all thosethings, but you've never once
asked me like about if I needanything, if I need help.
That's the worst part.
SPEAKER_01 (30:59):
Yeah.
Is to like not be reciprocating,I feel like.
SPEAKER_00 (31:04):
Yeah.
But I mean, also though, don'tyou think there's some people
who like I I only bring this upbecause I feel like I've learned
this about myself is a badtendency.
Like, if I'm frustrated, I tendto kind of go silent.
I'm not that great atcommunicating my frustrations.
And I kind of expect otherpeople to just know how I'm
feeling about it.
And not all the time, but like Idefinitely have a tendency to
(31:27):
want to do that.
So she might like literally likebe acting as if everything is
totally peachy keen normal.
And her girlfriend might havemight be so in the dark about
all this.
SPEAKER_01 (31:37):
True, true.
Yeah.
I know.
I wonder too if you started likebeing like, hey, can you drive
me here?
Can you drive me here?
Like asking the same of her whatshe would do.
I bet she wouldn't do it.
But yeah, I would also just say, like, like to your point, I feel
like a lot of times people thinklike because they've been
friends for a certain number ofyears, that makes them like
(31:57):
better friends than other peoplethat maybe they haven't been as
friends with for as long of atime.
But like, you know, if you'velived together, you just have
like a you click better.
I don't yeah, I don't think justbecause like you the number of
years shouldn't make adifference.
Yeah, you can find otherfriends.
People change, sadly.
It sucks.
It's not fun.
SPEAKER_00 (32:17):
Yeah.
So good luck.
I uh I I think we're alignedlike cut this girl loose if you
feel like it's not right foryou.
I do think you should talk toher about it and see if she can
change her ways.
But if not, you know, people aremeant to be in your life for a
certain period.
Yeah, move on.
Yeah.
But thanks for writing in.
(32:38):
Good luck.
Thanks to whoever wrote that.
Good luck.
Um, and that's all the time wehave for today.
We're gonna be back onWednesday.
We have a great episode for youall lined up.

(32:59):
She also has a reallyinteresting job as a pediatric
nurse, as a ketamine nurse.
So we're gonna talk about that.
Um, and she also was engagedprior to meeting Bon, and she
did end up calling off thatengagement.
So we're gonna be talking aboutwhat that was like for her as
