SPEAKER_00 (00:00):
Ready?
Ready?
Hey everyone.
Welcome back to the latestepisode of Snitchin.
It's your host, Kristen.
And Brittany, get ready for thebest part of your day.
We're back with another week, anew episode.
Happy Monday, Britt.
How was your weekend?
SPEAKER_02 (00:15):
Um, it was good.
A little boring.
I mean, didn't do a whole lot.
We had the boys started hockeyand then we went with like Matt
and Tay, Gina and Bill, and thefull boy gang to this like
restaurant arcade thing, whichwas fun.
But those little boys were likefrickin' ants in the arcade.
It was a little scary.
But actually, you know what theone interesting thing about my
(00:37):
weekend was is we had myparents' dog, Callie.
So it's a little test of havinga dog.
Oh, how was it?
Yeah.
I feel like I actually likedhaving a I mean, it's not that
surprising, but I actually kindof liked it.
Really?
I mean, I love animals.
No, yeah, of course.
I love I love walks.
(00:59):
It's a perfect excuse for awalk.
SPEAKER_00 (01:01):
This is true.
SPEAKER_02 (01:02):
And I mean, the big
thing about dogs, like, I mean,
you guys, like, people in mylife are lucky I don't have a
dog because I would bring itliterally everywhere.
Like the thought of being ableto have like an animal that I
love with me at all times, thatlike that makes me very happy.
That would make me very happy.
SPEAKER_00 (01:20):
Oh, that's right.
Yeah, you can't bring your catswith you.
That's actually a good point,like pro dog.
Yeah.
Oh, that's like the biggest one.
SPEAKER_02 (01:29):
Did you bring the
dog anywhere?
Uh no, because my parents' dogsare not trained and like they're
shit dogs.
But if I had my own dog and likecould I would have to train it
so that it would I could bringit everywhere and it would be a
well-behaved dog.
But yeah, I mean, it's easy forme to put my time and energy
into animals.
SPEAKER_00 (01:47):
That's true.
Yeah.
I guess I just have never onceheard you say that you would I
feel like you're always indefense of cats because people,
like when we do the, you know, when people say, like, uh, I
feel like people are more likelyto hate on cats than dogs, I
guess is my point.
Oh, yeah.
And so I feel like you're alwayson, you know, the defense, and
you're, you know, you gottastick up for your kitties, which
I get.
So I've never heard you once saythat you would get a dog.
(02:09):
So this is a little surprisingfor me, but I totally get what
you mean.
You're an animal lover, so Iguess it's not that surprising.
Um, what kind of dog would youget?
Well, that's the thing.
SPEAKER_02 (02:19):
I feel like the dog
I want is like a Samoan.
Like Samoy's.
So cute.
I'm obsessed with them.
But that's like a real dog.
It's like big and very fluffy,so it's like not an easy dog.
SPEAKER_00 (02:31):
Yeah, for our
listeners, Samoyans are huge
white fluff balls.
They're they're like the size oflabs, if not bigger.
Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (02:40):
But they're supposed
to be like a great family dog,
and like their nature is likethey were like raised to be like
very cuddly because like theylike lived in really cold
places, and like their wholething was like they would help
people that were like saved tolike warm up and stuff in the
cold.
So they're like just so cute.
I know, and they're like reallycuddly and like happy.
SPEAKER_00 (03:01):
What an interesting
backstory.
I like learning that.
SPEAKER_02 (03:04):
I know.
Yeah, that yeah, Vicky told methat.
And then like, um, yeah, it'slike Newfoundlands.
My my grandparents always hadNewfoundlands, and they were
always like trained, or not eventrained, it's like instinctual
that they would go if we wouldlike pretend we were drowning in
like the pool or the pond orsomething, and they would jump
right in, like get get theperson on his back, paddle you
(03:25):
in, they'd be like looking backto make sure he's still there.
One time they like got this bigreed and like put that in its
mouth to like drag people uh in.
It's like so cool.
Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00 (03:34):
Yeah.
Amazing.
Yeah, okay.
So you need to get a Samoyan.
Well, right now my house is toosmall.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Oh, that's a good point, though.
How did they get along with thecats?
Or how did Callie get along withthe cats?
SPEAKER_02 (03:47):
Yeah, that was not
great.
I but I feel like we could makeit work, like, especially if it
was like a young cat.
Like, I feel like I would haveto wait until my current cats
are you know, not here, not withus anymore.
Um, and get like a new, like aif I feel like if I got a kitten
with a dog, it would be okay.
SPEAKER_00 (04:07):
Yeah, okay, yeah,
yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (04:09):
They like grow up
together.
Yeah.
But I mean, I'm still don't getme wrong, I am still teen cat.
And like my whole theory is thatpeople that like there are more
dog lovers, there are morepeople that love dogs, but the
people that have cats fuckinglove their cats.
Yeah.
Dog affinity for cat.
Yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (04:28):
I mean, also, yeah,
it's it's but like in general,
dogs are dogs are the favorite,I would say, for the greater
population.
So the cat lovers, like to yourpoint, are they intensely love
their cats.
And we're okay with being in theminority, you know.
I don't need everyone.
Yeah.
I feel like that's how cats arein general.
Like they are kind of like asuperior animal.
(04:50):
Like dogs literally will likeeat anything you put in front of
them.
They're just so happy, go lucky, whatever, whatever.
Cats are strategic, they'resmart, you know?
unknown (05:00):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (05:01):
And so I don't think
that they want everyone to love
them.
Like they're good with theirpeople and respect.
No, respect all the way.
Respect all the way.
It's like if you have an artistthat you really love and not
everyone knows them or lovesthem, but like the people who do
know them love them.
It's a similar vibe.
And they just are they're okaywith that.
(05:21):
Yes, exactly.
SPEAKER_02 (05:22):
Exactly.
Yeah, I get it.
So we'll see.
But yeah, I probably won't get adog for a while, but I was like,
oh, I actually kind of like thismore than I thought I would.
Um, but the cats definitely hadCallie in a corner a few times.
Like they hit like one time, Iwas like, Where's Callie?
And he's like backed into thebathroom with like Eddie's
standing.
I was like, Good job, Kitty.
So this is your home.
SPEAKER_00 (05:44):
Yeah, totally.
How was Lake George?
Yeah, Lake George was so great.
Piece of cake to get out there.
I don't know if it's because Ijust came off the Penn State
eight-hour trek, but I was likethree and four, three and a
half, four hours, nothing.
You can't like I flew.
So getting out there and gettingback was easy peasy, which was
great.
(06:05):
Lake George is beautiful, it'scrystal clear.
Um, you can like see, you know, through the water at the shore.
It's so great.
And surrounded by mountains.
And there was still somefoliage.
It's definitely November foliagewhere it's not quite as vibrant,
but it's there.
It's like a burnt orange, youknow, instead of yeah.
Um, so it was it was really fun.
(06:27):
We went to Lake George.
We stayed like 20 minutes southof Lake George.
So we went up there on Saturdaymorning and we got great
weather, luckily.
It was warm enough that we couldwalk around.
So we did.
And um very like log cabin-y.
Every restaurant around there islike the log cabin vibe.
Yeah.
So, you know, and our where westayed was very, you know, in
(06:51):
theme with that, which was nice.
And then we ended up goingthough to Saratoga Springs,
which you've been to, right?
Oh, where like the horse racingis, yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (06:59):
Oh, I didn't realize
those were so close.
SPEAKER_00 (07:02):
30 minutes away.
But you've been there, right?
I have been to the horse thehorse track, but that's it.
Okay.
So we went in the afternoonbecause it was restaurant week
there, which we had no idea, sowe totally got and we yeah, went
over there.
Great shopping, Brittany.
Oh, I've heard that, like in thedowntown.
(07:22):
Yes, yeah, I need that.
The exact type of shopping thatwe like, Charleston level
shopping.
Yeah, I've heard that.
All like boutiques, really cutestuff.
I really had to use someself-control because I was like,
I don't need any of this.
Um, but it was just like sogood.
So that was really fun.
(07:43):
And yeah, it was great.
It was, I love Jill.
Like, yeah, you know, it's justgreat to catch up with her.
Um and yeah, it was a goodweekend.
And what was great is I got homein time to, I listened to some
of the Pat's game on the wayhome, but I was I got home in
time to see pretty much most ofthe second half.
Nice.
I like I'm just so in on thisteam.
(08:07):
Like Bengals who?
I mean, they they suck anyway, but like I am just so in on this
team.
I am so happy they won.
Big game against the Buccaneers.
People kept saying this was thereal test.
Our schedule was trash.
The only team we played is theBills and the Bucks was gonna
really be the test of if we werelegit or not.
Well, guess where we're legit?
(08:29):
We're legit.
Yeah, no, no one can tell usnothing.
Yeah.
So yeah, I'm just so on it, soall in.
I love Mike Frayball.
I think he is like the best.
He was out there.
A ton of people were gettinghurt left and right, which was
scary because we already havepeople that are out, but he was
out there, he's like holding theplayer's hand on the field as
he's getting checked out.
(08:50):
Like he's just he's just in withthis team.
He was like a uh an assistantcoach with Belichick, right?
No, he was a he was alinebacker.
SPEAKER_02 (08:59):
Oh, okay.
But I knew he was like in hislike he co he was under his like
team or whatever.
SPEAKER_00 (09:06):
He was a linebacker,
like with like the Teddy
Brewski, like the first.
That makes sense.
And then he was uh he was acoach, he was the head coach of
the Titans.
Yeah, okay, yeah, I knew that.
Oh, I love that even more.
I know.
And I didn't really realize thisuntil like yesterday because I
guess three of the touchdownsthat were scored were from
rookies.
And so I'm kind of thinking, like, damn, we have a lot of
(09:27):
rookies.
11 people on our roster.
There's only like 50-somethingpeople on the roster.
11 of them are rookies.
Wow.
I mean, not surprising.
But like, here's where I'm like, this is why I love the team.
Because now I'm now I'm likewriting the novel.
Now I'm like in the locker room.
Yeah, I'm like, you know, thesenew guys are coming in and they
they have a real shot.
(09:47):
I mean, they're definitelymaking the playoffs at this
point, but like people aretalking about them as Super Bowl
contenders.
Can you imagine that 22-year-oldwho's drafted with all these
other rookies with a new headcoach?
And and this is the seasonyou're having.
SPEAKER_02 (10:01):
It's honestly kind
of the ideal scenario for a
rookie because like a lot oftimes it's like if they go to
one of the best teams, they'reprobably never playing.
And if they go to one of theworst teams, like everyone
around them is trash and thecoach is trash.
So I feel like it's actuallykind of an ideal situation if
you're a rookie.
And it's like a good, a good uhlike football community too, you
(10:22):
know.
Yeah, oh totally like franchise.
So yeah.
unknown (10:27):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (10:27):
Good for them.
SPEAKER_00 (10:28):
Uh, it's just so
great.
And they have their own littlelike celebration dance now.
And I'm just uh seven straight.
I'm so excited.
Jets on Thursday.
We're gonna smoke the Jets, butuh, I'm just I'm really it's fun
to watch the P the Pats again, and I'm happy that we're back
here.
SPEAKER_02 (10:44):
Oh, well, maybe I'll
get to actually watch it on
Thursday because my kids will bein bed.
Well, and by watch, I mean watchlike the first quarter and then
go to bed.
But there you go, girl.
Take what you can get.
unknown (10:55):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (10:55):
It's so hard.
Connor wouldn't let me watch ityesterday.
It was so annoying.
SPEAKER_00 (10:59):
Yeah.
I mean, that's fair.
You have little ones.
Yeah.
Um, so but yeah, we'll just I'llkeep you abreast of what's going
on because it's very excitingand we are absolutely crushing
it, and I'm all in on this team.
And I actually did see like apiece of celebrity news um with
one of our players, StefanDiggs.
He did you see this last week itcame out.
(11:21):
He um, well, so he's obviouslywe as we talked about Cardi B is
his girlfriend.
She was sitting with RobertKraft.
Dave Portnoy was sitting withRobert Kraft this week.
SPEAKER_02 (11:31):
That I feel like
makes a little more sense,
honestly.
SPEAKER_00 (11:34):
Well, I mean, I
think both make sense.
Yeah, yeah.
But um, well, so as so as weknow, Cardi B is with Stefan
Diggs.
She's pregnant with her fourthkid with him, and she's three
with her ex offset.
He, I guess it came out lastweek, is have had another baby
with a girl with a model.
I don't know her name.
(11:55):
Last week.
Yeah.
So, and it just came to lightbecause I guess she the baby was
born, I want to say, I don'tknow, at some point like early
this year, but last December iswhen she first said that Stefan
Diggs was the the father.
Yeah, he like I guess questionedthe paternity, and so they had
(12:16):
to do paternity tests andwhatever.
And now it's just come to lightthat he you are the father,
Stefan Diggs.
SPEAKER_02 (12:24):
I just took a DNA
test.
Turns out he's the father.
He's the father.
Um, ooh, that's tough, StefanDiggs.
But I mean, at least he hasmoney, he can pay for it, he's
got resources.
So hopefully he gives that girlsome cash and help.
SPEAKER_00 (12:42):
Yeah, I guess it's
come out that he is going to
like take financialresponsibility.
I was kind of curious if likeany reporters or anything were
gonna ask him about it at thegame.
I didn't see any questions comehis way about that.
SPEAKER_02 (12:53):
So they might not be
able to.
They might say no, no questionsabout whatever.
SPEAKER_00 (12:58):
Oh, that's a good
point.
Maybe they have somejurisdiction over what they can
be asked.
Yeah.
Especially if it doesn't relateto the game.
Right.
Yeah, that's fair.
Okay, okay.
Do you remember when Maury, like, and it's so crazy.
Like, I feel like if like Mauryand Jerry Springer show was on
today.
Oh, my mom used to watch thattrash.
SPEAKER_02 (13:21):
It's on in like the
middle of the day.
It's like on Wednesday at like 2p.m.
SPEAKER_00 (13:25):
It's truly it's like
sandwiched between the prices
right and like soap operas.
Yeah.
And Judge Judy.
Oh, was she a big Judge Judier?
My mom, yeah, yeah, yeah.
My mom was a big soap opera gal.
Really onto General Hospital andDays of Our Lives, you know,
consistent fan.
(13:46):
I don't think she really gotinto the Jerry Springer or Maury
of it all, but your girl, when Iwas younger, listen, my dad was
traveling every week.
My mom worked full-time.
My sister was six years olderthan me.
And you know, by the time I waslike eight, she's in high
school.
Your girl was watching stuffthat she shouldn't have been
watching.
SPEAKER_02 (14:08):
Oh yeah, we can go
down a whole rabbit hole with
this.
Going on the internet too.
SPEAKER_00 (14:16):
Oh, oh, I was yes, I
was very curious.
And oh yeah, I watched so muchof that trash.
Like, so much.
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (14:25):
I mean, you don't
know any different when you're
low.
SPEAKER_00 (14:27):
Oh I mean, it's it
was fascinating.
And like, even though everysingle, you know, episode was
pretty much the same setup.
I mean, every single time theguy denied, pretty much most of
the time, I would say thefather.
You are, but I did love on therare occasion where it was a
fake out, and he'd be like, Youare not the father.
SPEAKER_01 (14:50):
You know, and then
there is something about it that
is funny.
So great.
And then who's celebrating?
SPEAKER_00 (14:56):
Oh, I used to love
the celebration dances.
Like, yes.
Oh my god, the celebrationdances.
SPEAKER_02 (15:02):
I wonder where those
kids are now.
They should do like a reunion, like uh what's his name?
Jerry Springer.
Oh, they should do a reunion.
He's dead.
Yeah.
So Maury.
Maury, Maury.
Is Maury alive?
Let's look.
Um, they should do a Mauryreunion with like as many kids
as they can get that wereconfirmed.
Their par paternity wasconfirmed on the show.
SPEAKER_00 (15:25):
That's a great
Brittany.
That is such a good idea.
I would tune in.
I would tune in so quick.
SPEAKER_02 (15:31):
Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (15:32):
I would too,
honestly.
Maury Povich, he is alive.
However, he's 86.
SPEAKER_02 (15:39):
Oh well, they better
hurry up.
Time's a ticket, Maury.
SPEAKER_00 (15:43):
I mean, you probably
only have, yeah.
So we already got one host out,so yeah, it's really up to him
to make this reunion happen.
What a great idea.
I would love to know like whatthey're what those kids are up
to now.
I know.
I wonder if there's like anylike trends, you know.
Yeah, yeah, definitely.
Like, yeah.
And then obviously there wasalways the person who like ran
(16:04):
backstage crying, and like thatwas the whole thing.
Yeah, like the backstagecameras, yeah.
Oh, the backstage cameras.
Yeah.
Oh my god.
Primetime TV.
Why don't we have that anymore?
That was great.
Yeah, it was it.
SPEAKER_02 (16:20):
Yeah.
Okay.
Now we just had the shortversion on TikTok.
SPEAKER_00 (16:26):
Yeah, that's true.
I mean, now we do also just havelike so much good reality trash
TV.
Yeah.
There's so much to talk about.
But man, that was really whereit started.
Also, let's not forget the gemof a reality show that was Blind
Date.
Anyone?
Anyone?
Oh, was that on MTV?
(16:47):
Pretty.
This was we watched this.
We watched this.
No, it wasn't like next.
It was it was Blind Date waslike oh, I'm thinking of next.
Yeah, it was like UPN 38.
It was like, it was it was likelate night, like third wheel.
SPEAKER_02 (17:00):
Oh, yeah.
Okay.
I know I don't know, but I canimagine.
SPEAKER_00 (17:05):
Well, all right.
If you know, you know.
The people who know know.
If you know, yeah.
Anyway.
Um, should we get into ourstories for today?
Well, we really, it's really amusic-heavy episode because
we're gonna talk Grammynominations, and we are also
going to talk Hillary Duff's newsingle correction from last
(17:27):
week.
We thought, or I thought, thatan album was being dropped on
Friday.
That is not true.
It was a single called Maturewith a new album coming sometime
in 2026.
So my bad, my bad.
SPEAKER_02 (17:40):
I mean, I didn't
notice either.
I tried to Google it and I musthave just done out, like,
skimmed the AI thing.
I was like, where's this album?
unknown (17:47):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (17:47):
Yeah, that would be
annoying to release a single and
then be like, oh, it's gonnacome out sometime in the next
year.
SPEAKER_00 (17:53):
I know.
I wish, I know.
I mean, I'm thinking it has tobe like January, February.
I feel like it's way too earlyto release a single with an
album coming like five monthslater.
That feels yeah, strange.
So hopefully it's what do youthink of the single?
I okay, so here's the thing.
I like the concept of thesingle.
I like I like what she's tryingto say.
(18:14):
Basically, it's called mature, and she's saying like that the
boy she's referencing in thesong is going for a younger
version of her, and the wholechorus is like she must love it
when you tell her that she's somature.
Yeah, it's basically like thatshe fell for the same thing and
that this guy's a player.
I like the concept.
When she's singing the chorus, all I can think is like, oh,
(18:37):
there's Liz McGuire or likeHillary Duff Metamorphosis, like
that that 16-year-old who's LizMcGuire singing.
Like, I she doesn't have apowerhouse voice.
So I felt like the chorus kindof like fell flat for me, and I
was just like, oh, I feel likeI'm listening to, you know, like
a teeny bop.
Like, I just I wasn't I wasn'tloving it.
It's not very artistic and deep.
(18:58):
I don't know if I would say Ijust it was more her voice for
me.
It was like the only criticism Ihave is like her voice just I
don't know, it brings me back tolike 15-year-old me, and I just
can't really get past it.
It makes the song feel immatureto me because of that.
SPEAKER_02 (19:11):
Yeah.
I don't know if I just likehaven't listened to Hilary Duff
in a while, but like at first Iwas like, is this her singing?
Like it sounds nothing like herin the beginning.
Okay.
Like literally nothing like her.
It's like Yukon.
SPEAKER_00 (19:23):
Oh, wait, hold on.
Let's put I, you know what?
No one's gonna copyright us.
We let's do it first.
Yeah, whatever.
Let's do the first um like 20seconds.
Pulling it up.
SPEAKER_02 (19:44):
That doesn't sound
like her.
She sounds like a chapel roanwannabe.
Okay.
All right.
That's like not her voice.
You can't convince me that's hervoice.
SPEAKER_00 (19:55):
I it's I did not
have that thought didn't cross
my mind.
SPEAKER_02 (19:59):
Oh.
SPEAKER_00 (20:00):
I get, I kind of get
what you're saying.
I do get it a little bit, but Idon't I'm not totally on board.
SPEAKER_02 (20:05):
Yeah, but like to
your point, she's doesn't have
like a powerhouse voice, so theyhave to like auto-tune the shit
out of it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (20:12):
I just, yeah, I
don't know.
See, I think the problem was Ifelt like it sounded too much
like her.
Like it was like I again, like Ifelt like I was 15.
Like I'm like, oh, this is justweird.
Like I feel like Yeah.
I'm listening to Metamorphosis.
Like I just, it's weird.
SPEAKER_02 (20:26):
Yeah, yeah, that's
fair.
I like the picture.
I thought she looked great inthe like the visual uh part of
it.
But I yeah, and honestly, thesong was kind of making my air
ears bleed.
It's like right there with swagtwo.
Like, never gonna listen to itagain.
SPEAKER_00 (20:42):
Swag two, shout out.
Um yeah, I it's a one and done.
I don't see myself listening toit ever again, yeah.
I mean, maybe, like I could sayit may be growing on me because
I like the idea of it, like Ilike the lyrics of it.
Yeah, but I just yeah, it didn'tblow me away.
(21:05):
Yeah, not that good.
I'm still gonna listen to heralbum though.
SPEAKER_02 (21:09):
Yeah, there's still
hope for the album.
The first single is not alwaysthe best one.
SPEAKER_00 (21:13):
Yeah, exactly.
You know what?
That's a good point.
If there's anything that we'velearned from being Taylor fans,
the first single is not alwaysthe best one.
We've gotta give it a shot.
Yeah.
Did you watch the music video?
SPEAKER_02 (21:25):
No.
Was it good?
SPEAKER_00 (21:26):
Nah, it's like her
performing, but it's nothing.
There's no like story to it.
It's just kind of her singing indifferent sets.
SPEAKER_02 (21:34):
Yeah, yeah.
Honestly, I listened to it likeone time in the car and I was
like, I'm never listening tothat again.
SPEAKER_00 (21:39):
So um, but yeah,
well, I am curious though, she
basically gave a little teaserabout what the album's about,
and she does reference that it'sabout like just adult themes,
divorce, kids, family drama.
And there was an article thatwas put on page six about there
was no more detail to it, butbasically resurfacing the fact
(22:02):
that when she says that it couldbe about family drama, it could
be about her sister Haley, whichoh, yep.
What happened with them?
Right?
Haley wasn't around for aminute.
SPEAKER_02 (22:12):
Haley had some jams.
Haley, what was oh no, nope.
I'm thinking of Ashley Simpson.
I'm thinking of Ashley.
SPEAKER_00 (22:18):
Oh, okay.
Well, great call though.
Ashley had some jams.
SPEAKER_02 (22:21):
Yeah, Haley, no
jams.
SPEAKER_00 (22:24):
Haley, no jams, but
they she was like a little bit
in the spotlight.
They I think they did a movietogether.
Like they were, she was around.
People had yeah, yeah, for sure.
Yeah, and then she just fell outof the spotlight, and I totally
forgot about her.
Yeah, same.
So what what's going on withher?
Well, I think that we'll maybeget a little glimpse into what
(22:44):
their relationship is like inalbums and yeah, the new album
and the docuseries, yeah, because they haven't been
photographed together since2019.
Weird.
Like Haley hasn't postedanything about Hillary's new
music, they don't like eachother's social posts.
That's so weird.
SPEAKER_02 (23:02):
And I feel like they
were like tight.
SPEAKER_00 (23:05):
I know.
SPEAKER_02 (23:06):
I mean, Haley was
older, right?
Two years older, yeah.
Yeah, so I feel like there wasprobably always like a little
resentment.
SPEAKER_00 (23:14):
Oh, I mean, I'm I'm
sure, like, especially at that
age, your teenage to young 20s.
Oh my gosh.
There must have been in thatindustry too, like, yeah.
Huge.
So there was a rumor that it wassomething along the lines, like
something to do with thehusbands.
Oh.
(23:35):
That Hilary Duff's husbanddidn't get along with Haley's
husband or something.
That's that's a rumor.
I don't know what how true thatis, but I wouldn't be
surprising.
But you're you made a reallygood point.
Like there has to be someunderlying animosity, jealousy,
envy, all of the sins.
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (23:54):
I mean you know poor
girl.
You can't not.
SPEAKER_00 (23:57):
You can't.
It's you're only human, Haley.
We get it.
Yeah, yeah, it's tough.
I guess we'll find out more.
I guess we'll find out more.
So yeah.
That's that's what's going onwith that.
I think what would what would wegive it?
Like a I'd give it like a 6.5.
SPEAKER_02 (24:12):
Oh, I would give it
like a one.
Oh, you really didn't like it.
No, it was very bad.
I like I I agree with you, andlike I like the concept and
stuff, but it was just so bad.
Like the the sound of it.
I was like, who put this out?
Who who okay this?
SPEAKER_00 (24:29):
Like I I definitely
was not blown away, but I didn't
hate it.
I didn't have like as you know,but I I see your point.
I don't think it was superstrong.
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (24:38):
When you're used to
Taylor, it's hard.
The bar is high for every otherartist.
SPEAKER_00 (24:42):
So I'll just say we
will say, I mean, we were just
saying last week, life of ashowgirl.
unknown (24:47):
Oh, I know.
SPEAKER_02 (24:49):
I hate oh, and I was
talking to Gina about that this
weekend.
She was saying the same exactthings as us.
Like which are, which are.
I just feel like I'm not as likedrawn to it as I normally am.
Like, usually when Taylor comesout with a new album, it's like
I'm like an addict, you know.
Like, I want to listen to it.
It's the only thing I want tolisten to.
But like I don't feel like that,and I don't really know why.
(25:10):
Like, I like all the songs.
There aren't any skips, but likeGina made a good point, and I
was like, Yes, this is like whenyou go to listen to it, I'm
like, what do I put on first?
I don't know.
I'm always like, oh, I don'tknow.
Where do I start?
I don't know.
There's just something about itI can't put my finger on.
It might be that she overhypedit.
I don't know.
But there's just something Ican't put my finger on it that's
making me like not love it asmuch as I normally love a new
(25:32):
album, like a month or so out.
SPEAKER_00 (25:35):
Yeah, I'm at the
same place.
I think I just kind of like burnthrough it too quick.
Like maybe not too quick, butlike the only ones I'll go turn
on are Opalite and even Fate ofOphelia.
I'm like a little like whatever, but really Opalite's the only
one that's like still holdingstrong.
SPEAKER_02 (25:52):
Yeah, yeah.
I feel like that's my wish list.
Um, Ruin the Friendship, I feellike has like snuck its way into
one of my favorites.
SPEAKER_00 (26:01):
Oh, okay, yeah.
Ruin the Friendship, I'm intotoo.
But yeah, no, I'm with you.
I'm kind of like the lyrics justaren't that like deep.
SPEAKER_02 (26:08):
I don't know.
Maybe we're just coming off TTPDthat was 31 songs, but I don't
think that's it.
I don't know.
SPEAKER_00 (26:16):
Just might not be
our favorite album.
I felt this way about Midnights.
Sorry, Tay.
Sorry, Tay.
But I still love it.
That's a good point though.
It might be expectations versusreality.
Like that it was so hyped.
Um that yeah, I think I expectedI yeah, I just didn't expect to
not feel like I not feel youknow compelled to listen to it
(26:39):
so often.
Yeah, yeah.
So that's interesting that Gthought that too.
If anyone else feels that way,we'd be curious.
Comment on this episode.
We want to know.
SPEAKER_02 (26:48):
Yeah, seriously.
SPEAKER_00 (26:50):
Um, should we talk
about the Grammys?
Let's talk about the Grammys.
Grammy nominations came out lastweek.
Where should let's start withmaybe we just go through some of
the like big four categories, like best song, record album,
and best new artist?
Yeah.
Okay, let's do it.
All right, Grammy nominations2026.
(27:10):
Um, pretty much the samenominations for song and record.
So maybe we can start there.
I did look up because I couldn'tremember what the difference
between record of the year andsong of the year are.
And basically the difference isthat record of the year is more
about the production level andthis like overall sound of the
(27:31):
song, whereas song of the yearis more uh geared toward the
lyrics and the songwriters.
Yeah, that makes sense.
SPEAKER_02 (27:38):
This year, though,
they're all the same for the
most part.
SPEAKER_00 (27:40):
For the most part,
yeah.
So record of the year, we haveBad Bunny, DTMF, Billy Eilish,
Wildflower, Chapel Roan, TheSubway, Dochi, Anxiety, Kendrick
Lamar, and Sizza, Luther, LadyGaga, Abracadabra, um Ro.
I can't remember if it's Rose orRose.
(28:01):
I think it's Rose and BrunoMars, um, Apata and Sabrina.
Well, the songs are like APT.
Or maybe it's APT.
No, I mean, honestly, that's myleast favorite one on this list.
I can't I hate that song.
I find that song so annoying.
Like, I don't get how it's sopopular.
(28:24):
Yeah.
I don't did you say all of them?
And then Sabrina Carpenter, ManChild.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (28:29):
Yeah, I don't love
that APT song.
I it's like kind of catchy.
The chorus is okay, but yeah, otherwise I'm like, meh, this
song's like not that good.
I just I hate it.
SPEAKER_00 (28:40):
It's a little too
like electronic.
I just don't like it.
I hope that doesn't win.
I hope that doesn't win either.
Is there one that's standing outto you?
I love Luther, Kendrick Lamar, and Sisza.
I like their album.
SPEAKER_02 (28:54):
Love it.
So is that your pick?
Um, I well, so I really like TheSubway by Chapel Roan.
It sounds like a 90s song, whichis crazy.
Um, but like I like that one.
But I I don't know.
To me, part of it is like, Ifeel like for the Grammys, it
should kind of be like peopledoing like new things, and that
song just doesn't really feelvery like new to me.
(29:15):
Okay.
Okay, I can hear you.
Um that song Anxiety, I hate thethe background.
What is it?
I somebody I used to know, Ifucking hate that song, so I
automatically that one's out forme.
Um Wildflower.
Billy I there's only one BillieEilish song to me, and it is
Birds of a Feather or Die.
So not Wildflower.
(29:37):
I'm not a huge fan of Man Child.
I think that could be the thevideo of the year.
The song I think is just okay.
Sorry.
Um, and then the Lady Gaga one,I don't really like that.
I I'm like I respect Lady Gagaand I see why people like her,
but like her music just doesn't.
Usually, like every artist, there's like one or two songs
(29:58):
that I'm like obsessed with, youknow, like There's like one,
yeah.
But I feel like I'm never intoany of her songs, so I'm a
little kind of biased.
Okay.
SPEAKER_00 (30:07):
I mean, whatever,
girl, that's her taste.
Yeah.
What do you think?
So I didn't know a lot, like Iknew them, but not really.
It's when I thought about likethe production being the thing
that they're looking at, likeBillie Eilish Wildflower, I was
very whatever about.
Bad Bunny, I could see that thatwinning, but I mean, obviously,
(30:29):
I don't speak Spanish.
I don't know what the song'sabout.
I'm like a little less in likeinterested in it, but I like the
sound of it.
Yeah.
I do like Man Child, but I don'tthink Man Child should win.
I actually, it's funny that yousay I love talking like this
stuff with you because I feellike we all often have different
opinions.
So the anxiety song I only knewthrough TikTok.
(30:51):
And I only knew that like one30-second part.
Um I listened to the full songthrough.
I actually was surprised by howmuch I liked it.
SPEAKER_02 (31:01):
Yeah, I could see
why you would like it.
I I feel like she did a goodlike the rapping in it is good
and stuff.
SPEAKER_00 (31:08):
So I think I'm gonna
go with Doji Anxiety or Lady
Gaga Abracadabra.
Again, just for with that likein mind, but yeah, I think I
think I'm gonna pick pick DojiAnxiety is what I would put my
bet on.
SPEAKER_02 (31:21):
Oh, I thought you
were gonna say the subway.
No, yeah.
But Doji Anxiety, I would saylike the anxiety song, that is
like like what I was sayingearlier.
Like, I feel like it should besomeone who's doing something
like a little new.
That is like new and fresh.
SPEAKER_00 (31:38):
Great point.
Great point, yeah.
I just hate that song.
Yeah, yeah.
The subway I hadn't heard beforewe decided to, you know, do
this.
So I listened to it.
And I'm a big chapel fan.
I loved that album that had likePink Pony Club, and that whole
thing was so great.
Um, I think because I liked thatalbum so much, I was
underwhelmed by that song.
(31:59):
I was kind of like, whatever,it's good, it's fine.
SPEAKER_02 (32:02):
But that's kind of
how I felt.
Yeah, I was like, it's good.
I would listen to it, but notgoing out of my way.
It is crazy though.
I feel like this year, everyyear, it's more and more like
like I used to like know all thesongs in the top, the in the top
like records of the year orsongs of the year, or at least
like if I put them on Spotify,I'd be like, Oh yeah, I know the
song immediately.
But like I did not have thatexperience.
(32:23):
Like I knew probably half ofthem.
And then half of them, I waslike, Oh, I actually like don't
really know the song.
SPEAKER_00 (32:30):
Yeah.
I'm not great with finding newmusic.
I tend to be a creature ofhabit.
I like the songs I like.
I'm not really one who's gonnago on like Apple Music and be
like new music Friday.
Yeah.
So I'm not really good aboutfinding new stuff.
I mean, uh, you know, like ifit's artists, we know.
I mean, we did the album reviewfor Bieber for Sabrina, but I
don't think we would have donethat had we if we weren't doing
(32:52):
the pod.
Like I wouldn't have listened tothe full album.
Yeah, yeah.
Agreed.
Yeah.
So I mean that's been kind ofnice.
Because I will say there aresome songs on both Bieber and
Sabrina.
I probably would have listenedto Sabrina's full album, but on
Bieber's album that I still goback and listen to sometimes.
So yeah.
Same.
Um the only so Song of the Yearis the same exact nominees, with
(33:14):
the exception of it's adding, Iwas so excited about this from
K-pop Demon Hunters, the bandHunter X, Golden.
SPEAKER_02 (33:23):
Why are you so
excited about that?
SPEAKER_00 (33:25):
Because I want this
song to win.
Oh, I don't like that song.
SPEAKER_02 (33:30):
You think APT is
worse than that song?
One 1000% like lay on my grave, yes.
Oh, I think the K-pop soundsjust like it's a song for
13-year-olds.
SPEAKER_00 (33:45):
Oh my god, it's so
catchy.
I listened to Golden on the Red.
I don't.
Well, I think it's so catchy.
Um, I was so happy that likeit's so unusual that a song from
an animated kids' movie ismaking a Grammy nomination.
(34:05):
Like that shows that's cool howmuch this movie, but also mainly
the soundtrack, has likeinfiltrated pop culture.
Yeah.
It's everywhere.
SPEAKER_02 (34:14):
Yeah.
And I feel like that is animportant piece of the Grammys.
But oh, actually, I was like, Iuh looked up like the surprises
and the snubs, and one of thelike big surprises with that
song is in it, is like nominatedfor a Grammy.
SPEAKER_00 (34:28):
I was shocked.
I mean, you never see that.
Like maybe Frozen Let It Go.
I wonder if that was nominatedfor a Grammy.
Um I'm gonna look it up.
But yeah, and in general, I waslike, dang.
SPEAKER_02 (34:42):
Yeah, the other, oh,
the Wicked movie duet, that was
like a surprise.
Did you see that one's in it?
SPEAKER_00 (34:48):
No, I didn't, but
Let It Go was nominated and won
a Grammy Award.
So that's good.
Good job, Academy.
Good job, Academy.
Uh, what were you saying?
SPEAKER_02 (34:57):
Um did you see like
Wicked's nominated?
That was another surprise thatwas like similar.
I didn't see that.
No, I love that for like the duoone.
Best duo?
It's like, I don't know if it'spop duo or performing duo.
There's also there's also aSizza and Kendrick Lamar song.
I think it's like 3030, that Ifeel like is so good.
(35:18):
I kind of want that to win.
But it's well, part of me isjust like, I feel like they're
singing an existing song thateveryone knows is great.
I it's not as impressive to meas like making your own song.
SPEAKER_00 (35:28):
Yeah, it's like just
the vocals.
That's fair.
There's so many categories.
My God, I'm scrolling throughthis.
And remember, we were talkingabout there was like new
categories that were added.
Do you remember that?
We talked about it.
I want to say maybe it was oh,yeah, most best traditional
country and best contemporarycountry.
SPEAKER_02 (35:46):
I don't listen to
country.
SPEAKER_00 (35:48):
Yeah.
I mean, I'm looking at the thenominees, traditionals like
Willie Nelson.
I don't know the other names, but like contemporaries, like
the people we know.
Jelly Roll, Kelsey Ballerini,Miranda Lambert, Ty, Tyler
Childers, Eric Church.
I like Kelsey Ballerini.
That tracks.
Me too.
Yeah.
I think she's coming out withlike a new sixth single uh thing
(36:12):
she's dropping called MountPleasant, which is a suburb of
like Charleston, South Carolina.
So that kind of piqued myinterest.
SPEAKER_02 (36:20):
Interesting.
Yeah, that makes sense.
SPEAKER_00 (36:22):
We didn't pull it as
a story, but I did see a
headline.
Um, and we never talked aboutit, that her and Chase Stokes
broke up a few months ago andthey were spotted together over
the weekend, or they werespotted last week together.
So they are they might berekindling the romance.
SPEAKER_02 (36:37):
Yeah, I bet that
little six-track album is
probably about him.
I mean, they probably spent timein South Carolina.
SPEAKER_00 (36:44):
I think that's a
good bet.
Oh, yeah, that's where he films.
SPEAKER_02 (36:48):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (36:49):
Yeah.
Um Do you want to hear some ofthe snubs?
SPEAKER_02 (36:52):
I do want to hear
some of the snubs, yes.
Okay.
The weekend was completely shutout, receiving no nominations
after I guess he in in the pasthas like boycotted the awards,
but like I get they hadseemingly repaired the
relationship.
He got none.
But I think the weekend's musicis trash.
Sorry.
So yeah, I I don't care aboutthe weekend.
(37:13):
Um, Lorde.
Lord got no nominations, eventhough apparently her album
Virgin was a semi-hit.
And Gracie Abrams.
Oh.
And Tate McCray.
SPEAKER_00 (37:26):
The Gracie Abrams
surprises me.
SPEAKER_02 (37:29):
I know.
I that surprised me too.
I feel like I'm I feel like Iwould actually like Gracie
Abrams if I actually listened toher.
I don't know, something to me.
She's just like a Taylor Swiftcopycat.
SPEAKER_00 (37:41):
I like her.
She's much more like sloweddown.
Um there's some songs.
I listened to she has a fewalbums out.
Um, the most recent one, Iwonder if that's the one I'm
thinking of.
I listen to front to back.
And oh yeah, The Secret of Us,I've listened to fully.
It's good.
You'd like it.
It's um, there's a few.
I'll send you like my top five.
(38:02):
But a lot of them are like dosound kind of similar, but there
are some really good ones onthere.
Yeah, she's not as pop asTaylor, she hasn't used as much
production.
SPEAKER_02 (38:10):
Yeah, no.
I mean, definitely like oldschool Taylor.
Yeah.
Um, but yeah, again, I just feellike she's just nothing new to
me.
SPEAKER_00 (38:18):
I think you'd like
her.
SPEAKER_02 (38:19):
I know, I probably
would.
SPEAKER_00 (38:21):
I don't know.
I I thought the same thingthough about well, I mean, you
like some of the Sabrina stuff.
SPEAKER_02 (38:26):
Yeah, I don't think
Sabrina is as much of a copycat.
I don't think she's like I don'tI wouldn't say she's a copycat.
SPEAKER_00 (38:32):
No, yeah.
No, Gracie.
SPEAKER_02 (38:35):
I don't know.
SPEAKER_00 (38:36):
Is it do you just
feel that way or is there a song
that makes you think that?
SPEAKER_02 (38:40):
No, I just feel the
her whole thing, like her whole
aesthetic, like her songs, everything, I feel like is so
like, you know, early Taylorcareer.
unknown (38:48):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (38:49):
But I mean, it's not
really a fair way to judge, it's
just kind of how I feel.
I didn't love her like when wesaw her on the Eras tour.
Like, I was like, meh, she'sfine.
SPEAKER_00 (38:56):
Um, so what do you
think about Album of the Year?
The nominees for that are BadBunny, Clips, Push a T, and
Malice.
I don't know what that is.
It's a trio of people.
Their album is called Let GodSword Them Out.
Justin Bieber Swag, KendrickLamar, GNX, Lady Gaga, Mayhem,
(39:18):
Leon Thomas, Mutt, SabrinaCarpenter, Man's Best Friend,
and Tyler the Creator,Chromacopia.
Chromacopia, excuse me.
Um, what do you got?
SPEAKER_02 (39:29):
I mean, I love I
love swag.
I do.
I think it's like album of theyear.
Probably not.
Yeah.
Maybe the Kendrick Lamar one.
I like that album.
He's won a lot, though.
I don't know the Lady Gaga one.
And yeah, I feel like I don'treally know the other ones.
What about you?
SPEAKER_00 (39:47):
I don't know these
albums very well.
I've only listened to fullyJustin Bieber swag and Sabrina
Carpenter Man's Best Friend.
SPEAKER_02 (39:54):
Yeah, Sabrina
Carpenter, yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (39:56):
Um, so I don't know.
I think I could see Sabrinamaybe being in contention.
I don't think either of them aregonna win, though.
So I really don't know.
I'm just gonna go for um shoutout to Megan because when she
came on, she told us a lot aboutLady Gaga's mayhem.
I've listened to maybe like aquarter of it.
It's very gaga, you know.
(40:18):
And I I did listen to, I didread some of like her, you know
how on Apple Music, when theyput them um put out a new album,
there's like written excerptsfrom the artist sometimes
explaining more about the album.
Yeah, yeah.
So I read some of that.
And like for Abricadabra, forinstance, she said that she had
been very avoidant on creating asong like that because it was so
um, like so much of a throwbackand like in the same vein of her
(40:40):
early, early stuff.
And she wanted with each albumto kind of evolve, but she like
did go back and do a song likethat, and she was just kind of
talking about like the album asa whole, and I thought that was
kind of interesting.
Um, and the songs that I didlisten to, I did like.
So I'm just gonna go on a limband I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go
gaga.
SPEAKER_02 (40:58):
Yeah, I feel like
she has a good shot.
Um, I wonder if she's won greatalbum of the year before.
Probably not.
SPEAKER_00 (41:05):
Great question.
You know what?
We can find out.
No, she's never won album of theyear.
She deserves that.
She was nominated for the awardfive times.
Whoa.
And she, yeah, she's never won.
She's won 14 Grammys, though.
She's won like best pop dancealbum, best pop duo, but I think
she deserves that.
SPEAKER_02 (41:25):
Yeah, yeah, I agree.
She's put in the time.
SPEAKER_00 (41:28):
She's put in the
time.
SPEAKER_02 (41:30):
Um, yeah, I don't
think Man's Best Friend is is
good enough either.
Um, I will say about Bad Bunny, the the song that's I like don't
know the names of any of hisstuff because it's in like
Spanish.
Um I like the his song of theyear that's nominated, and I he
tracks with my like thing thatlike doing something new, but I
was also looking like I Googlelike what language is he, where
(41:53):
like what's his ethnicity andstuff.
And I he's he it's he speaks hesings in Spanish and
specifically like PortugueseSpanish, like that's his
background.
Um, but it was interesting, itsaid like he speaks fluent
English, but he likes to sing inhis like native tongue because
it's like more like I don'tknow, like germane to the to the
(42:13):
songs and the music and likepart of the culture, and like he
like sticks to that, he feelsmore comfortable and stuff.
I was like, oh, I actually kindof like that.
That like I don't love that it'sin a different language because
I can't sing along and I lovesinging, but I can respect that
he makes that musical choice.
SPEAKER_00 (42:29):
Yeah, no, one
thousand respect without one
thousand percent respect.
Someone was telling me about himum recently.
Uh I want to say someone Iworked with who spoke Spanish,
big bad bunny fan, and they werelike singing his praises.
They were saying that hespecifically wasn't touring in
the US, he was doing all of hisshows in Puerto Rico.
That's I think where he's from.
(42:50):
Yeah.
And he was doing it specificallyto like raise money, to bring
awareness, to spotlight PuertoRico.
And everyone had to go there.
And I was like, honestly, like, hell yeah, I love that.
SPEAKER_02 (43:01):
Yeah, same.
Yeah, I know.
Well, when I was reading aboutit, a lot of I think he like has
a lot of control over like themusic and like influence.
Like he he like directed thecover art for his stuff and
stuff like that.
And yeah, I was saying that he'sa big activist for Puerto Rico
and like speaks out a lot aboutlike the government and stuff
like that.
So I think that's cool.
SPEAKER_00 (43:20):
You're a bad man,
bad bunny.
We love that.
SPEAKER_02 (43:23):
Yeah, I think he's
legit.
SPEAKER_00 (43:24):
Last like category
we have to cover as best new
artist.
We have eight people nominated.
We have Addison Ray.
Honestly, that's a big get forAddison Ray.
Yeah, I didn't know she was thatlegit.
She had a song called Diet Pepsithat I think was pretty popular,
but I don't I've never listenedto it.
But like she is someone thatcould easily be, you know,
tossed aside as this likereality, whatever too.
(43:48):
Yeah, she must have been amped.
Um, Alex Warren, he had thatsong Ordinary, taking me out of
the ordinary.
Oh yeah.
Um, yep.
Cat's eye, Leon Thomas, LolaYoung.
She sings that song Messi.
Um the Ma the Maria's, theMaria's.
I was gonna say the Maria's.
(44:09):
Uh Olivia Dean, that's who I'mgoing for, and Somber.
SPEAKER_02 (44:12):
Yeah, I would agree
with Olivia Dean.
I like that.
What is it?
Like something about man.
What's her song?
Man I need.
What is it?
Man I need.
Yeah, yeah.
I like that one.
SPEAKER_00 (44:22):
Okay.
I was actually gonna bring thisup on another episode, but I
just never did.
We always talk about this.
I feel like we bring this uplike every few episodes about
how there was no collective songof the summer.
I was gonna say that song, Man INeed, was like the song of the
fall.
Yeah, we could see that.
Ever that was on every Instagrampost, every TikTok post, like
everywhere I went, I heard thatsong.
SPEAKER_02 (44:44):
Yeah, yeah.
I know.
Well, when I was like, wait,Olivia Dean, I feel like I knew
her.
And then I went on Spotify andwas listening, and it there was
like three songs I knew.
I was like, oh yeah, I feel likethis is in a movie or a show or
something.
Like, she's definitely prettypopular, and she's got a great
voice and a good sound.
SPEAKER_00 (44:59):
Such a good voice.
She's very like um kind of NoraJonesy.
Yeah, but like more RB almost.
Yeah, I could see that.
I hope she wins.
I hope she wins.
Yeah, me too.
That's the one I'm pulling for.
So so we'll see.
Grammys are slated to air, Ithink February 1st.
(45:19):
I think then.
February 1st.
So we'll be tuning in to see whowins.
SPEAKER_02 (45:26):
Um, all right, cool.
Should we do our snitch thash?
Let's do it.
All right.
Roommate who became a guest.
Dear snitches.
My best friend and I have livedtogether happily for two years,
but since she started dating herboyfriend, our living situation
has become unfair.
This is classic.
He is here almost every nightand weekend, he doesn't pay
(45:47):
rent, use our utilities, or dochores, he eats the food I buy.
I feel like I'm paying half therent to live with a couple.
When I brought it up, myroommate got defensive, saying
he's barely here.
This is causing seriousresentment and financial strain.
How do I set a clear boundaryabout him contributing or
limiting his time here withoutdestroying our friendship?
This is tough.
(46:07):
What do you think?
Oof, I don't know.
I mean, I would say, like, number one, you're you probably
think it's worse than it is.
Like it annoys you a lot.
So, like, but it's surprisingthough that she has like no idea
and it's like, oh, uh, he'snever even around.
That that's like a something'soff there.
(46:28):
Um, yeah, I don't know.
This is like a tough one.
I feel like you just have to beupfront about the roommate.
And if it's really botheringyou, like get some new hobbies,
go in your room and watch TV andsee how your roommate reacts.
Um, but you might just have towait it out until that lease is
up.
Yeah, girl.
SPEAKER_00 (46:47):
Agreed.
I think also, yeah, you might.
I mean, worst case scenario, there's an end date, you know, a
lease does end.
So worst case is you maybeyou're in a tough situation for
a year.
But yeah, if it's really bad,you know, and you have to spend
time in your room, like thatsucks.
But I would probably go first, yeah.
I think the weirdest part aboutthe story is that she says that
the he's never there.
That's really strange if he'sthere every single day.
(47:10):
So, I mean, not to be like, Ifeel like people don't always
respond super well when you dothis, but just kind of like, I
mean, the evidence, like take aweek and be like, you know, he
was here Monday, Tuesday,Wednesday, Friday night.
He's here a lot.
Yeah.
And just lay it out, lay thefacts out.
But I would probably more sohone in on the fact that he ate
your food.
(47:30):
That's totally unacceptable.
That's yeah, I would, I mean, Ithat's not okay.
Um, so I would probably just tryto win that fight.
Like, if anything, if he's ifshe's not open to and is very
defensive, I would just try tobring that up again.
If he eats anything that'syours, like bring it to her
first thing and just say this iswhat I'm talking about.
(47:51):
Can you please just ask him?
It's not if you're not askinganything crazy.
You bought the food, he's notyour boyfriend, so you're
totally in the right.
Um, maybe just start with thatand try to win that fight first.
Yeah, that's a good idea.
That's a good point.
SPEAKER_02 (48:06):
But that's tough.
So I mean, you should definitelysay something and try to like,
but yeah, it's surprising thatthe roommate has no idea because
I would think maybe they wouldbe like, Oh, I'm so sorry, I
didn't even realize it was thatbig of a deal.
Yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (48:20):
And if you guys had
a great relationship before, I
mean, it's always a good idea tobring it back to why this, why
this, why you care about this, you know, the fact that you
don't want to lose herfriendship, that she was a good
friend, that you, you know, careabout her and you want, you
know, you're you are happy forher.
Make it clear you're happy forher that she's in a happy
relationship.
Right.
You don't, I think it's reallyeasy for people to point to envy
(48:43):
or jealousy, like, oh, she'sjust jealous that she doesn't
have this.
Yeah.
So, you know, let her know youcare, that there's a reason why
you're bringing it up, but alsolike, hey, stop eating my food.
unknown (48:53):
What the fuck?
SPEAKER_00 (48:54):
Yeah, like you can't
be a pushover.
But yeah, I am I'm a crazyperson.
If like I would not that wouldnot do, I would not do well with
that.
SPEAKER_02 (49:04):
Yeah, I wouldn't
like that either.
Cause it's like I have to go outof my way to get that food,
prepare that food.
Oh my god, I'm banking on that.
SPEAKER_00 (49:13):
I hate the grace the
grocery store.
If you make me go back to thegrocery store, oh, you're on my
shit list.
Definitely.
Yeah.
Not okay.
Not cool.
Not cool, not cool, roommate, not cool, boyfriend.
SPEAKER_02 (49:26):
Yeah, not cool.
Not cool.
I feel like unfortunately, though, this situation does
happen.
But hopefully you can find likea good middle ground.
SPEAKER_00 (49:34):
Yeah, yeah.
Try to win the battle before youwin the war.
But good luck.
We're wishing you well.
