SPEAKER_01 (00:00):
Ready?
Ready.
Hey everyone.
Welcome back to the latestepisode of Snitchin.
It's your host, Kristen.
And Britney, get ready for thebest part of your day.
It's Monday.
We're back with another week ofgreat episodes.
How was your weekend, Britt?

SPEAKER_00 (00:16):
Uh, it was good.
I felt like it was short.
I low-key did a lot of walking.
I feel like I have that likeanxiety of like you're not going
to be able to go outside soon tolike get outside as much as you
possibly humanly can.
Uh, Steph was visiting Gina, sowe hung out with Steph.
I hung out with Steph onSaturday night with the full
gang.
And then we also went to brunchon Sunday, which was fun.

(00:38):
But yeah, otherwise, I meanpretty standard weekend,
honestly.
Nice.
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (00:42):
Snitch did you know Steph?
She was on our book club episodefor Untamed, where we talked um
about our girl Glennon's book, which I feel like ever since
that book club, we have broughtwe bring up our girl Glenn
fairly often.
Yeah.
I mean, I think about her allthe time.
Glennon is living rent-free inour minds.
Yeah, I know.
So great to see her.
So that was really fun.

(01:03):
We went to this awesomerestaurant called Elsie's Table.
The cutest.
Great cocktails, great food.

SPEAKER_00 (01:11):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (01:11):
I have to say, like, I'm someone when I go and order
a cocktail, it can be very hitor miss for me because oh yeah.
What I see is a valuablecocktail is like quantity.
I am not someone who's gonna bethrilled if I get it, could be
the most delicious, and this islike, you know, whatever.

(01:32):
This is my own thing, but itcould be the most delicious
cocktail.
If it's in like one of thoselittle gimlet glasses, that's
like oh yeah, you know, littlemartini glass.
Ugh, immediately disappointedfrom the jump.

SPEAKER_00 (01:45):
Yeah, you gotta get your money's worth when it comes
to cocktails, especially whenthey cost like$17 now.

SPEAKER_01 (01:50):
So I know exactly.
That's what it is.
Is it's so expensive.
And this place had a great pour.
It doesn't go unnoticed overhere.
Agree.
It's not cheap, but they make upfor it, I guess, in other ways.
Yeah, they make up for it inother ways.
Yeah, but yeah, no, that wasreally fun.
It was great to see her.
I know it was a nice, likeSunday, especially was nice far.

(02:14):
Yeah.
Take it old today.
Take it while we can get it.
I know.
I saw that it was like 30 orlike maybe like 39 degrees, but
felt like 18, and I was like,woof.
No, just so hard.
So I know we're all we're all init with you guys.
It's tough.
Yeah, I don't really have any uhoh, I went to um, I went to the

(02:37):
snowport, which is this verycute like outdoor winter market
in downtown Boston.
My sister and I went.
It was so fun.
The line, the pro tip is if youwant to go, you can buy advanced
tickets to skip the line.
It's$15, well worth your money.
The lines around there arecrazy.

(02:58):
Yeah, yeah.
So save yourself some time.
Get the advanced ticket.
They had a lot of cute vendorsand really just like good stuff
to shop.
Christmassy, very Christmassy.
I got my grab gift already formy family Yankee swap.
That's normally like a week ofpurchase.

(03:18):
Oh, I love that.
Getting ahead.
It's great.
Oh my god.
Yes.
So many cute ornaments.
Like if you're, you know, we'redoing an ornament snop, uh,
ornament snob.
We're doing an ornament swap, got that taken care of.
Oh, nice.
Yeah.
Have you gotten your ornamentfor our swap?

SPEAKER_00 (03:34):
I haven't.
I looked, I was at the paperstore this week and I looked,
but I didn't see anything good.
So TBD.
TBD.

SPEAKER_01 (03:42):
But yeah, let's get into it.
We have some stories for today.
Big topic for Monday isBravoCon.
BravoCon 2025 was this past weekin Las Vegas.
So all of our favorite Bravoliberties were out there, and
there were some, you know, solidheadlines that came out of
BravoCon.
Okay, so starting with numberone, this isn't necessarily a

(04:04):
headline, but I do know that ourJersey Housewives fans will
probably be excited to hearabout this.
I am not a Jersey Housewivesgal.
I have dabbled enough over theyears to know the major players.
I know that you're you're youhave seen some of the
Housewives, but like withJersey.

SPEAKER_00 (04:23):
Yeah.
I've I've watched them.
I don't watch any currently, butyeah, I like I know Jersey a
little bit.
Is like Teresa still on it?
So this has to do with Teresa, yes.

SPEAKER_01 (04:31):
So Teresa's whole headline the past few years, I
guess, has been like her feudwith her sister-in-law Melissa
Gorga and her brother, Joe.
Yep.
And there was footage fromBravoCon of Joe and Teresa
hugging it out.

SPEAKER_00 (04:45):
Oh.

SPEAKER_01 (04:46):
And headlines have come out that Melissa did say at
BravoCon that her, Teresa, andJoe, Joe, Louie, the whole gang
are trying to work it out offcamera.
They're trying to reconcile offcamera to not make it like for
the show, but really, you know, get tight again.
And this is like breaking news,I think, for Bravo fans.

(05:07):
I mean, like our New JerseyHousewives fans way in here
because from what I I from myunderstanding, this is like a
huge deal.
No one ever thought that thesetwo would get along again.

SPEAKER_00 (05:18):
Yeah.
I mean, I feel like I was stillwatching it when Melissa and her
brothers, Joe.
So Joe's Theresa's brother,right?
Yes, is married.
I they've been fighting then atleast for like 10 years.
I mean, it's probably good thatthey're not doing it on the
camera.
I mean, I understand like it'sgood for the show and like good

(05:39):
for content and stuff, but ifthey actually want to make
amends, probably should do itoff camera anyway.

SPEAKER_01 (05:44):
I I agree.
Okay, so this is saying thatMelissa and Teresa officially
stopped talking following theconclusion of season 13, which
aired in 2023, but theirrelationship has been tumultuous
for years.
Oh, but I guess there was it wasthe feud was escalated because
there was a cheating rumor aboutMelissa that was spread by
Teresa and her husband Louie.
Oh.

(06:04):
And that's why Melissa and Joedidn't attend Teresa's August
2022 wedding.

SPEAKER_00 (06:11):
Oh, so she did.
Yeah, I was gonna say she's anew new husband.

SPEAKER_01 (06:14):
Yeah, she has a new husband who I guess is like, I
don't think that people reallylike him very much.
He kind of, well, there was a Isaw a headline about her a while
ago that like Teresa, as we allknow, she was kind of infamous
because her and her husband werecaught like cheating on their
taxes or something, so they wentto jail.
And I guess she's been she'slike been in hot water since
again for the same thing.

(06:36):
This time with Louie.
And it's like some point, it'slike you're the problem, you
know?

SPEAKER_00 (06:42):
Well, and I feel like her whole thing with her
ex-husband was like, she waslike, he was doing it, and I
didn't know that much, you know, like she's technically
responsible, but she said shelike didn't know about it.
But that doesn't back her caseup well.
Yeah, totally.

SPEAKER_01 (06:58):
Yeah, so I mean, interesting.
So that was definitely aheadline that came out.
So another thing that came outwas that the new Housewives of
Rhode Island trailer wasreleased.

SPEAKER_00 (07:07):
I watched it.
Tell me, what'd you think?
Um, I mean, they definitely areexaggerating significantly about
Rhode Island.

SPEAKER_01 (07:17):
Could not agree more.

SPEAKER_00 (07:18):
Like when in the beginning the girl was like,
Yeah, where people from RhodeIsland just like think it's
weird to like be from any otherstate.
I was like, what?

SPEAKER_01 (07:27):
No, 1000%.
Rhode Island's like barely astate.
It makes it seem like RhodeIsland is this like mafioso,
like you know, Italian, everyoneknows each other, you know, big
money ring.
And it's like, no, what?

SPEAKER_00 (07:43):
I don't even know.
I didn't know like there was abig, you know, area of wealth, I
guess, like that in RhodeIsland.
I mean Newport.
Yeah.
Watch Hill, where Taylor is,obviously.

SPEAKER_01 (07:56):
Yeah.
But I looked at one of the castmembers and they live in
Cranston.

SPEAKER_00 (08:00):
Oh, ew.

SPEAKER_01 (08:02):
Like, not what what are we doing here?
Oh, also, I guess one of thehousewives, her the reason like
they're so wealthy is becauseher her and her husband own the
biggest dispensary in RhodeIsland.
I mean, respect, not what I wasexpecting for Housewives
franchise.

SPEAKER_00 (08:20):
They just jumped on that bandwagon, I guess, as soon
as it became legal.

SPEAKER_01 (08:23):
I guess so.
But I know, but is this here'sthe thing like, is this our
opportunity to enter into theBravo verse?
Because we can get into a new Idon't like joining franchises
that are like 10 years in themaking.
I don't know the players, Idon't know the backstory.

SPEAKER_00 (08:38):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (08:39):
Do we give this a shot as a new show to watch?

SPEAKER_00 (08:44):
Uh I mean we could, but I'm probably gonna hate all
of them.

SPEAKER_01 (08:51):
Yeah, that's fair.
You know what we should do?
We should have like a Bravoround table.
We should get some of our Bravofriends on and really get some
intel on what they think aboutsome of this.
Yeah, like Mish.
Heather.
Yeah, Mish, Heather, Jill.
Yeah, yeah.
They know they know you'rethere's stuff there.
But I'm excited that there's onethat's coming to Rhode Island
because even still, like I justremember when we went to so

(09:12):
Britt, Gina, and I and Britt'smom went to LA uh I don't know
2019, 2019, I think.
Yeah, and I had been to LA oncebefore, had a good time, but I
wasn't really impressed with it.
This time we did it right.
We went to all of the placesthat only like we wanted to see,

(09:34):
and that included all of theVanderpump Rules restaurants.
Yes, so fun.
So fun.
Dana was our waitress.

SPEAKER_00 (09:43):
Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (09:44):
Totally saw Guillermo, had the goat cheese
balls, like had the wholeexperience.
This could be that East Coast, true.
It would be a lot easier for usto do that.
We could just drive down oneafternoon and hit some of these
spots.

SPEAKER_00 (09:58):
Yeah, I mean, they gotta sell me a little bit more
than that trailer, though.

SPEAKER_01 (10:02):
Yeah, I mean, my favorite one is Ashley Eye
Kennedy because she her and herhusband, Jared, met on The
Bachelor, and I love them.
And she's kind of the one in thetrailer who's like not from
there.
So she's like the new girl.
So I'm kind of hoping that she'snot cast out, you know, or not
really a good Yeah, like one oflike the main people.
Yeah, like I'm kind of worriedshe's just not gonna be involved
in like any of the drama andtherefore probably not gonna be

(10:25):
the best housewife, you know?

SPEAKER_00 (10:27):
Or they'll just probably gang up on her.
Yeah, or that poor thing.

SPEAKER_01 (10:32):
Poor thing.
Hopefully, she she does well, but I'm intrigued.
I'm definitely gonna give it atleast I'm gonna give it a shot.

SPEAKER_00 (10:38):
Do you think like what they were saying, they were
like everyone knows everyone inRhode Island?
Like, I could see that beingtrue.
I do think that is kind of likea northeast thing that like
everyone kind of knows everyone.
Yeah.
Like if you think about thatrumor that Taylor Swift getting
married on June 13th in RhodeIsland, like everyone was
spilling that rumor.
If you haven't heard, it's thatnow I'm starting to think it was

(11:00):
fake.
I think they planted it, butthere is a rumor that someone
was supposed to get married onJune 13th in Rhode Island, right
next to Taylor's house.
I forget the name of the place.
Oh, Lara actually mentioned iton her episode.
And the like rumor is everyonehas a friend of a friend who was
supposed to get married thatday, but then someone came and

(11:20):
said that they would likebasically pay for their whole
wedding and honeymoon if theygave up their date, which like
who wouldn't do that?
But yeah, I like I heard it andI was like, oh my god, that's so
true.
Like, that's definitelybelievable.
And then all like a week later, like everyone's talking about
it.
It's just like everyone knowseveryone.
So yeah, that kind of backs thatup.
But otherwise, I thought thattrailer, you gotta sell me a lot

(11:41):
more on Rhode Island.

SPEAKER_01 (11:43):
Yeah, I hear that.
I will say the other thing thatcame out that I was excited
about in terms of like newseasons is The Valley.
They have made a castingannouncement.
They have two new cast membersfrom Vanderpump Rules.
So Lala Kent and Tom Schwartzare joining the next season of
The Valley.
I personally think this is agreat move.

(12:03):
Yeah, agree.
Is Sheena on it already?
Good question.
I don't think Sheena is on theValley.
No.
Oh, I mean she's surprised.
She's been on episodes as aguest, but I don't believe is
Sheena Shea cast in the newseason of The Valley.
I don't believe that she is afull-time cast member, but I am
surprised by that as well.
Yeah, shocked by that.

(12:24):
No, Sheena Shea, according toAI, Sheena Shea is not cast in
the new season of The Valley.
It said that she declined theoffer.
She confirmed this on herpodcast, explaining that she and
the show's producers went backand forth, but she decided it
wasn't the right next step forher.
Wow.
I'm actually shocked that Sheenaturned it down.
Shocked.
Shocked.
Shocked.
Yeah.
I thought she would have beenthe first one on the list.

(12:45):
Oh my God, 1000%.
I mean, she did just come outwith that book.
Right.
Well, actually, so I would thinkthat would give her more reason
to want to promote the book.

SPEAKER_00 (12:54):
True.
And like you, I feel like TheValley, I mean, I've only
watched like one episode or two, maybe, but like from what I
gather, it's a little bit moreabout like their families, and
they probably like show theirkids and stuff a little bit more
than they did in Vanderpomp.

SPEAKER_01 (13:09):
Yeah.
I watched full season one andpart of season two.

SPEAKER_00 (13:13):
Okay, yeah.
So is that true?

SPEAKER_01 (13:14):
They do, they do.
Like you see, you do see Cruz,Jax and Britney's son.
You see one of the couples, uhNia and Danny's children, but
not that much, but it definitelyis about like their families.
The I think the criticism thatthey got last season was that
the show was very dark.
Like there was a lot of heavytopics that they were talking

(13:36):
about, primarily being Britneyand Jax's divorce.
And like the fights that wereshown were really not good.
Like they were ugly.
So I think a lot of cast membersjust were like, this is too
heavy.
Like, we need something that's alittle bit more
Vanderpump-esque, that's likelight and fun, and people are
drinking and whatever.
So they were asked about that.

(13:57):
Brittany Cartwright said thatthis season is much lighter than
last season.
So they did address that.
I could definitely see like TomSchwartz and La coming in and
being, you know, like funadditions.
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (14:10):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (14:11):
I hate to say it because I do feel like Schwartz
was like up Sandoval's butt, butI am excited to see him back on
my TV screen.

SPEAKER_00 (14:20):
Oh, I love Schwartz.
Yeah.
It'll be interesting though tosee him without any of his other
like guy friends.
I feel like he's always justlike stuck with his, you know,
either Sandoval, Jax, whoever,Katie.
Obviously, he's not withanymore.
Is he the new number one guy inthe group?
I think I think he's always beenthe number one guy in the group,
if you ask me.

(14:40):
He's the number one guy to yesfor us in our group.
In our group.
Yes.
Our Vanderpump group.
I wish James was gonna be backon.
Like what's going on, James andAllie?

SPEAKER_01 (14:51):
Well, they broke up.

SPEAKER_00 (14:52):
Oh, they did?

SPEAKER_01 (14:53):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (14:54):
Oh, damn.
Yeah, they broke up.

SPEAKER_01 (14:56):
I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
I know.
I'm I'm not on the James train.
I just think he's funny.
No, I I see that.
I yeah.
I actually kind of forgot abouthim.
I just think, yeah, I think helike wants to do well, but I
think that all of those boys,Jax, Tom, I mean, I guess

(15:18):
Schwartzy, but not as muchSchwartz.
But Jax, Tom, James, they're alljust given such a long leash.
And it's like, okay, let's justcut it.
Like you, you know what, James, like get it together.
Yeah.
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (15:31):
Stop calling people fat.

SPEAKER_01 (15:33):
Yeah, stop calling people fat.
Like, I mean, the worm with themustache was hilarious and it
was warranted because Tom's aloser.
But yeah, I don't know.
I just feel like after him andAllie breaking up, like I could
see some.
I think that they they said thatthere was like a lot of yelling,
and I'm sure that maybe therewas like some drinking involved.
I don't know.
I'm just kind of over him.

(15:53):
Yeah, I get that.

unknown (15:54):
I get that.

SPEAKER_01 (15:55):
Yeah.
Lisa Vanderpump was at Bravo ConBravoCon too.
And she did say that she is nothappy with Sheena Shea.
Wow.
Yes.
So she said that she wasinterviewed and she said that
she keeps up with a lot of theVanderpump crew, Stasi
primarily.
Stasi made an appearance on hershow, Vanderpump Villa.
She said that she keeps up withSchwartz, with Sandoval.

(16:17):
If she saw Ariana, she wouldgive her a hug.
And the interviewer said, Oh,not Sheena.
And she was like, No, notSheena.
Sheena wrote in her book thatLisa Vanderpump knew, like
basically said that Lisa being aproducer, that producers kind of
let them know things ahead oftime, maybe feed them
information.
And Lisa didn't deny that.
She said, Yeah, as a producer, you do know things and sometimes

(16:39):
you do give the cast a heads up.
But Sheena implied that way backwhen, when Sheena first came on
the scene, that Lisa essentiallylike orchestrated kind of a
run-in between her, Sheena, andBrandy Glanville, who Sheena was
sleeping with her husband.
And Lisa like vehementvehemently denied it and was
like, I think that anyone who'smaking up lies to sell a book I

(17:01):
don't have respect for.
So essentially, like slammed it.
And I thought this was prettyfunny.
She goes, I thought her book wasa scratch and sniff book.

SPEAKER_00 (17:09):
Honestly, it's pretty it's pretty butter.
Yeah.
I mean, it's not one that'sgonna make you smarter to read.
Just say that.
Yeah, I I oh that I feel likethat's weak.
I mean, of course, it wasorchestrated that they would all
have her run in.
That was like how the show kindof like started.
I know.
Is like Sheena was the waitressat Lisa's restaurant and she was

(17:31):
cheating on the other housewife,Brandy's husband, like was
cheating, was sleeping with herhusband who was married.
Of course, that there was likelike did do people not think
that Bravo is like partiallyscripted?
I don't know.
Yeah, I don't know.

SPEAKER_01 (17:47):
Like also, I it it feels kind of like that was so
long ago.
Yeah, move on years ago, evenyeah.
Why even bring it up?
Yeah, yeah, that's so strange.
There's gotta be something elsethere.
Yeah, I don't know.
But she also, you know, talkedabout let's not forget, Lisa
brought up that there's a newVanderpump rules cast, and

(18:09):
that's gonna be premiering, sothat's very exciting.
Do they work at Sur?
They yes, they work at Sur.
Some of them have worked therefor a while.
She said the interviewer asked, like, how does it compare to the
first season?
She said it's like marriages,like they're different.
You can't compare them.
The first one was great.
We had a lot of success with it,but this is like a new group,

(18:30):
but it's a lot of fun.
So excited about that.
And then another new TV showthat's been announced was the
spin-off that we knew aboutthis, but it was confirmed at
BravoCon that Summer House starsLindsay Hubbard and Kyle and
Amanda Cook will be the stars ofIn the City, the new spin-off
for Summer House.

(18:51):
Oh, I didn't know that.
Yes.
So very exciting stuff there aswell.
And it was like very much notedthat Lindsay and Carl were on
speaking terms at BravoCon.
Oh, good.
I know.
I really like I loved them asfriends.
I liked them as a couple.
I kind of wanted them to workout.
I mean, it was never gonna workout, but I was happy to see

(19:11):
this.

SPEAKER_00 (19:12):
Yeah, I mean, I I still can't get behind her.
I feel like I don't have all thehistory that you did coming in
at this season when she like puther life-size baby print or
whatever that's called, theultra sonogram on the mantle
place.
I was like, oh, I forgot aboutthat.
We're starting off on the wrongfoot here, girl.

SPEAKER_01 (19:35):
I mean, yeah, Lindsay is a like we've said,
she's a very polarizingcharacter.
Yeah, yeah.
I am definitely team Lindsay, but like I could not understand
more why people maybe aren't.
Yeah.
But she said that like she didgo support him with his launch
of soft bar, and I saw some ofher outfits.
I thought she was best dressed, she looked phenomenal.

(19:57):
Like Lindsay is drop dead.
Really?
I think so.
Yes.
Her baby, I actually just sawthis because I was like reading
through stuff.
Her baby's about to be a yearold.
She's not with the husband orthe father.
Oh, that's the least surprisingthing of all time.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (20:14):
She does look good.

SPEAKER_01 (20:15):
Right?
She looked so good.

SPEAKER_00 (20:17):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (20:18):
So yeah, I'm excited about that.
Like, I'm actually reallyexcited for all of the new Bravo
shows.
I will say, like, this got meready to like jump back into
Bravo.
Yeah.
And there was a rumor.
I know I'm just like spewing abunch of stuff right now, but
Carl and Vanita from SouthernCharm rumors of them potentially
being like flirtatious.

(20:39):
Wow.
Yes.
And they both addressed it.
They didn't like deny it.
They said they haven't gone outon a date, but they know each
other.
They're like said good, nicethings about each other, and
like they seemed open to it.

SPEAKER_00 (20:49):
I like that.
I feel like it's kind of likegood when they like show there's
a crossover.

SPEAKER_01 (20:55):
I know.
I know.
Me too.
And I think the thing is, Carland Vanita both in their own
ways are kind of a littleawkward.
Like they're a little Carldefinitely is awkward.
Carl definitely is awkward.

SPEAKER_00 (21:09):
I think Carl's so hot.
I wonder how his soft bar isgoing.

SPEAKER_01 (21:15):
I don't know.
I don't know.
Yeah.
I've seen like people review it,and every time I see TikTok or
something, it's always empty inthere.
Oh, really?
And he's like a celebrity.
So I know.
Well, here's the thing.
I mean, I kind of do understandlike the sober, curious, the

(21:35):
sober movement.
Yeah.
But I almost wonder if it's likea little late to the game in the
sense that now just so manyrestaurants offer sober options.
Is it necessary to have a soberbar?
I don't know.

SPEAKER_00 (21:48):
Yeah.
No, right.
Like I understand the sentiment.
And like I do think that that'strue.
You know, it's harder to besober and like go out places,
but a sober bar just feels alittle, a little bit of a reach.

SPEAKER_01 (21:59):
Yeah, I don't know.
Especially like, I mean, if theyhad a good coffee bar there,
which I think they do, I wouldhave to see.
I would be open to going.
I would I would want to check itout.
It's in Brooklyn, right?
It's in Brooklyn, yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (22:10):
I've never been to Brooklyn, so I would go to check
out Brooklyn.

SPEAKER_01 (22:13):
Oh my God.
Girl, say less.
Let's go to New York.
Let's do it.
Yeah.
But yeah.
The other Summerhouse stuff?
Nothing really on Summerhouse,no.
Just that this announcement ofthe spinoff in the city.
I mean, Kyle Cook is like he wasdefending him and Amanda's
marriage per usual.
That's like that's all they dois defend their marriage.

(22:34):
Yes.
Why?
Kyle, he was always such apartier.
And I think early days, like shewanted to move out of the city
and settle down and get a houseand start a family.
And it kind of felt like he wasso invested in his company,
Loverboy, and like he didn'twant to leave the city.
So it seemed like they were justlike misaligned.
But then this past season, shesat him down for dinner and it

(22:56):
was a weird scene.
She said to him, you know, Idon't know if I want to have
kids anymore.
And it was like out of leftfield for him.
It was just weird.
Like, yeah, I don't know.
It feels like they're ondifferent pages.
But I just feel like everysingle time that they're about
to tease Summerhouse orwhatever, it's like they're
always talking having to defendthemselves, that they're doing

(23:18):
well and that they're likestaying strong.
But I guess that could also justbe part of like being in the
spotlight.
They it feels to me that theyare under fire more than other
Bravo couples.

SPEAKER_00 (23:27):
Yeah, which, you know, the rumors might be true
then.
I know.
I mean, it has to come fromsomewhere, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm definitely gonna watchSummer House this year.
Yay! I'm excited for that.

SPEAKER_01 (23:38):
I would love to go to the Hamptons, although I feel
like the Hamptons probably arejust like Icod.

SPEAKER_00 (23:42):
Yeah, I have I think I've been to the Hamptons.
It's I mean it's just a very fardrive, like down Long Island,
New York.
It's very far.
Yeah, I mean, yeah, I think it'sa lot like the Cape.

SPEAKER_01 (23:52):
I wonder if you could get a boat from like
Connecticut or Rhode Island.
I feel like that would beeasier.
Probably.
I don't know.
Anyway, anything else for thatbefore we go on to Harry Potter?

SPEAKER_00 (24:03):
No, let's chat HP.

SPEAKER_01 (24:05):
Let's get into HP.
Tom Felton, aka Draco Malfoy, inthe Harry Potter movie series.
He made his Broadway debutplaying Draco Malfoy, uh, which
is very exciting.
So he has returned to thewizarding world.
He's reprised the role whilemaking his Broadway debut in
Harry Potter in The CursedChild, which we just saw.

SPEAKER_00 (24:26):
We just saw.
Yep.

SPEAKER_01 (24:28):
Great.

SPEAKER_00 (24:28):
Very good.

SPEAKER_01 (24:29):
Very good.
He took the stage for the firsttime on Tuesday.
There is a clip circulatingwhere he comes out to say his
first line, and then theaudience erupted for like 30
seconds and just like a ton ofapplause, which was so great.
I love that.

SPEAKER_00 (24:45):
And that like goes a long way because normally in
Broadway you're supposed to bequiet.

SPEAKER_01 (24:49):
Well, I think that that's I know that was kind of
the thing.
Like you could tell he's tryingto stay in character.
He didn't break character, sohe's just waiting and waiting
and waiting.
But it was so much applause.
And then he said his next line.
But yeah, he comes out and saysPotter and everyone freaked out,
which obviously you're going to.
I would have too.

SPEAKER_00 (25:03):
Yeah, that's so cool.
I was gonna say for a second, you said he was Drake O'Malfo.
I was like, wait, he was playinga kid, but then I forgot he's
like an adult in that one, andthen like his kid is in it.

SPEAKER_01 (25:11):
So for people who haven't seen it, yeah, it's like
Harry Potter's son isn't thisgreat, great wizard.
He's obviously having a hardtime living up to his dad and
befriends Draco Malfoy's son.
Do you remember like when themovies first came out?
Tom Felton was a babe.

SPEAKER_00 (25:28):
Yeah, I mean, he they make him look like a little
spoiled little rich kid.
They do.
I see what you're saying.

SPEAKER_01 (25:34):
Oh my god.
Back in middle school, Idefinitely was like, oh, Tom
Felton, he's cute.
Have you heard the lore betweenlike him and Emma Watson?
Yeah, I know that they're likeBFF, right?
Yeah, BFF.
And when like when they werefirst shooting, she has now said
that she had such a crush on himthat she knew where he was on
the call sheet, and like if hewas coming in and shooting, she

(25:56):
knew it was gonna be a greatday.
And she, yeah, she had a bigcrush on him during the first
and second movie.
Wow.

SPEAKER_00 (26:02):
And they never got together.

SPEAKER_01 (26:04):
They never got together, they're just besties,
and they still have a greatrelationship.
I would love for them to gettogether.

SPEAKER_00 (26:10):
Oh my god, I know.
I forget.
Is she married?

SPEAKER_01 (26:13):
No.

SPEAKER_00 (26:14):
Is he married?
I don't know.

SPEAKER_01 (26:15):
I think he has a girlfriend.
I know, I know.
Could happen.
Yeah, he's dating Roxanne Dania, got together September 2024.

SPEAKER_00 (26:25):
Oh, so not that long.

SPEAKER_01 (26:28):
So bad that we're like, Emma, you got a shot.

SPEAKER_00 (26:30):
Yeah, we're like, oh, this might work.

SPEAKER_01 (26:33):
I just I just loved them and I love him, and I was
so happy for him that he got theflowers that he deserves.

SPEAKER_00 (26:40):
Yeah, I uh wish that more of them would come back in.
It's like crazy.
What are they all doing?

SPEAKER_01 (26:45):
I don't know.
Part of me wonders if I was if Iwas like a Neville Longbottom.
Like, do I just want to live ininfamy as Neville Longbottom?
I mean, you probably made a tonof money.
Oh yeah, I know.
I know.
Like, I don't know.
Like it's almost like best ofboth worlds.
You live in infamy as this likecharacter in this iconic movie
series.
You're set for life.
Yeah.

(27:06):
I could see like just go doingtheater or something.

SPEAKER_00 (27:09):
Yeah, no, totally.
I feel like if I was a celebrityand like made a ton of money, I
would probably like take a goodlong break too.
Oh, I actually don't like whenother people do that.
I'd be like, oh, I started HarryPotter.
Like, I'm good for life.
I don't need to work anymore.

SPEAKER_01 (27:22):
Yeah, until the HBO series comes out and like really
just you know just places them.
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (27:28):
Have you seen the like any of the other castings?

SPEAKER_01 (27:30):
No.

SPEAKER_00 (27:31):
I was looking it up before.
The person, the Harry Potterlooks exactly like the original
Harry Potter.
Seems like they similarly to themovies, they like really
prioritize casting based on liketheir looks.
Okay to the calendar, thecharacter.
Ron is Ron looks a lot like himtoo.
Hermione, not as much, but shehas like a similar vibe.

(27:51):
I actually really likedProfessor McGonagall too.
So that is Janet McTear.
You'd know her if you saw her.

SPEAKER_01 (27:58):
Oh yeah, she I do.
I do.
Yep.

SPEAKER_00 (28:01):
Yeah, and I love McGonagall.
So that that's a harbor.
That's a high bar for me.
And oh, Dumbledore is good too.
John Lithgow.

SPEAKER_01 (28:09):
Yes.
He's oh, he's I mean, he's beenaround forever.

SPEAKER_00 (28:12):
Yeah.
He's like pretty famous.

SPEAKER_01 (28:14):
I'm looking it up too.
Oh wow, yes.
Harry Potter, definitely.
Oh my god, little Ron Weasley.
I'm dead.

unknown (28:20):
I know.

SPEAKER_01 (28:21):
So cute.
How cute.
Alistair Stout.
Oh, oh my God.
That's so oh wow.
Hermione Granger, Granger.

SPEAKER_00 (28:28):
She's such a cutie.
I know.
She like looks kind ofdifferent, but also kind of
similar.

SPEAKER_01 (28:33):
Yeah.
Okay.
So she was on Matilda.
She was Matilda in Matilda'smusical on the West End.

unknown (28:37):
Oh.

SPEAKER_01 (28:39):
Okay.
So here's the thing.
Like, obviously, we can't relateto what it would be like to be
cast at that age in such a bigseries.
Yeah.
But like, what if that was yourkid?
What if in five years Connorfalls in love with acting, he
gets cast in a major thing?
I'd be so happy.
Like when you're younger, maybeyou have aspirations or dreams

(29:00):
to be famous or whatever, butlike that's for yourself.
You never really think aboutthat for your kid.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, I would definitely tryto befriend the other parents, I
think.

SPEAKER_00 (29:09):
Yeah, I would too.
I mean, I feel like you'dunfortunately have to stay real
close because we know sketchyshit goes on with kids on movie
sets.

SPEAKER_01 (29:19):
Yeah.
Well, we our eyes have beenopened in recent years.
We trust no one uh nowadays.
Yeah.
Right.
They must have like consultantsthat come in for parents that
are raising young actors.

SPEAKER_00 (29:31):
They must.
Especially like it's crazy too.
Like, you know, the Harry PotterTV series, it's gonna be huge.
Everyone's gonna know who youare as soon as it launches.

SPEAKER_01 (29:41):
One thousand.
I mean, it's gonna be Game ofThrones level.
Yeah.
I'm so excited for that.
I know, I cannot wait.
But yeah, it'd be kind of crazyto like go through that.
This yeah, these kids' lives arechanged forever.
Like they will forever befamous.
So kind of crazy to think about.
But we're happy to see that theYeah, the original cast, Tom
Felton, is still getting somelove for his role of Draco.

(30:04):
We love him.
Yeah.
Agree.
Last but not least, should we doour snitch session?
Yeah, let's do it.
Okay.
Do you want to read it or I canread it?
If you have it up, you can readit.
Okay.
This one has to this is has todo with money.
This is an awkward one.
Okay.
Friend with growing debt.
So, dear snitches, my closefriend has been struggling
financially for a while now.

(30:26):
She did get a new job, which isa good step, but she keeps
asking me for money.
It started small,$50 here,$100there, but now she owes me over
$2,000.
I've reached the point where I'muncomfortable loaning her
anything else, as it's startingto affect my own savings goals.
The thought of losing this largesum of money is stressful, but
the thought of losing my oldestfriend over money is even worse.
Every time I ask her aboutrepaying me, she says she'll be

(30:46):
able to pay me back soon, butshe can't pay anything back yet.
What do I do in this situation?
Yikes.

SPEAKER_00 (30:53):
Yeah.
I mean, you gotta stop loaningthe girl money.
Agreed.
I mean, I don't know like whatthings you're paying for.
I feel like that does kind ofmake a difference.
Like if it's like they owe youbecause you went on a
bachelorette party and like theynever paid, then I could see how
you would kind of get duped inthat situation.
Like that sucks for you.

(31:13):
Sure.
But like if it's like every nowand I need 50 bucks so that I
can do this or whatever, I wouldbe like, no.

SPEAKER_01 (31:21):
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think we need like morecontext for this.
Like, is this friend goingthrough a really tough time?
I mean, obviously, like yousaid, she didn't have a job.
Now it seems like she got a newjob.
So that's good.
But is she supporting someoneelse?
Like, does she have some type ofproblem?
Maybe, maybe even like asubstance problem.

(31:41):
Like, why is she needing those?
Like, what's what's the purposeof the money?
Why does she need it?
I think that's a really goodcall out.
I but I definitely agree withyou.
I think that you can just say,and it's nothing against her,
like, you know, I'm I'm sorry,but I just can't afford to, you
know, loan out any more money.
Like, yeah, obviously I'm herefor you, like for whatever you

(32:02):
need emotionally, or like, youknow, offer to be a support.
But I'm wondering if she hasmaybe any family members that
she could reach out to.
Maybe she's trying to avoidasking her family.
Like, that's because when Ifirst read that, I was like, oh,
that's interesting.
Like, is there no family memberthat they could go to?
And maybe not.
A lot of people don't have thatsituation.

SPEAKER_00 (32:19):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (32:20):
But if so, like maybe they're ashamed to ask
their family for money.
I don't know.

SPEAKER_00 (32:25):
Yeah.
I don't know.
It also would be like, allright, I feel like my limit
would be like if you owe me athousand dollars, I'm not paying
you.
I'm not gonna keep giving youmoney.
Like, especially if like in thissituation, she's clearly getting
taken advantage of.
If there was like a legitimatereason, that's fine.
Yeah.
But yeah, I but if it got abovelike a thousand dollars and now
they're at two thousand, I'd belike, yeah, I just unfortunately

(32:47):
I can't give you any more money.
Like, you're gonna have to asksomeone else or change your
situation because I feel likeyou're not doing any doing this
person any favors by likeprolonging it, you know, they're
just kicking the can down theroad of like figuring out a
solution.

SPEAKER_01 (33:01):
Yeah, 100%.
That's totally it.
Like you're not actually helpinghelping them.
This could be an enablingsituation.
So yeah, you're not and likehonestly, the more, the more
instances where you give moneyto someone, it's more of a
reminder that you're frustrated, that you feel like you're
getting taken advantage of.
So, like, just stop that there.
No, and know that the worst casescenario, and I often think this

(33:21):
way of like, what's the worstcase scenario?
Worst case scenario is that youlose a friendship, which is
awful.
But on a financial level, likethe worst case scenario is that
you lose this$2,000, whichagain, awful, but like that's
the worst it can get.
So, like, just stop it now, youknow?
That's true.
Yeah.
And maybe even offer, like, clearly, this is someone who

(33:42):
probably has a hard timemanaging their money.
Like, maybe even suggest to themor offer to help them build a
budget, like just go and excel.

SPEAKER_00 (33:50):
Right.
Like how to do like basicfinancial planning.

SPEAKER_01 (33:53):
Yeah.
Like, where are you spending?
Where can we like there's somany apps that you can go on and
just figure out like where areyou spending more money than
not?
Yeah.
So I think that's a good placeto start.
But yeah, number one, cut offany more loans.
Maybe see if there's someoneelse that they can reach out to,
maybe offer to try to help withthe budget or learn a little bit

(34:14):
more about what the issues are.
Don't give them any more money, though, I would say for now.
That sucks though.
But like we said in our lastepisode, our last snitch
session, like sometimes peopleoutgrow each other, and like
maybe this isn't a friend thatyou want to have.
I don't know.
Yeah, it sucks.

SPEAKER_00 (34:31):
But it happens.
I mean, people grow apart orthings happen and they're not
friends anymore, but you makenew friends.
Yeah.
And yeah, it might seem likeit's the end of the world right
now, but you know, five yearsfrom now, you probably won't
even be on your mind unless youkeep enabling them in there and
you're both broke or something.

(34:52):
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, I hate money, moneyproblems with this money
conversations.
It sucks.

SPEAKER_01 (34:58):
I for some reason my mind went right to the Sex in
the City episode where Carrie isasking for money for her
apartment, and Charlotte's like,I just can't talk about money
with friends.
And do you remember she like wasmad at Charlotte for not giving
her like$30,000?

SPEAKER_00 (35:12):
Oh yeah.
Wait, yeah, what the fuck?

SPEAKER_01 (35:14):
That was a crazy episode.
No, honestly, like that episodewas insane.
Yeah.
Who is mad at their friend forlike not loaning like$35,000?
I don't get it.
Yeah,$35,000?
Like you kidding?
Like, Carrie, sell your shoes orwhatever,$15,000.

SPEAKER_00 (35:30):
I don't know how much it was, but like, oh yeah,
especially when you're buyinglike$700 shoes.
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (35:36):
Carrie is so suspect sometimes.

SPEAKER_00 (35:38):
Yeah, agree.

SPEAKER_01 (35:40):
But anywho, that's all we got for you today, folks.
So we'll be back on Wednesdaywith another guest episode.
My sister Melissa will bejoining us.
It's gonna be one not to miss.
And we'll be back on Fridayalso.
