A sudden power shift ripples through Denver as Blake Carrington faces financial collapse, forcing him to humble himself before his ex-wife Alexis. The moment is electric—Blake squirming uncomfortably while Alexis, draped in chocolate brown with luxurious chinchilla accents, savors every second of his discomfort. After years of him keeping her from her children, the tables have dramatically turned. Meanwhile, the Carrington mansion erupts in chaos as Sammy Jo makes her grand return, boom box blasting Michael Jackson's "Thriller," determined to reclaim her place and her son. Her unexpected announcement that she's staying indefinitely throws Krystal into a panic as the delicate family balance threatens to collapse. When Steven discovers her modeling career was a complete fabrication, the stage is set for a potentially explosive custody battle. The episode's most intriguing development arrives in cream-colored elegance at La Mirage. The mysterious Ms. Devereaux, played by the legendary Diane Carroll, makes an unforgettable entrance with mountains of designer luggage and an imperious attitude. Her cryptic meeting with Alexis delivers some of Dynasty's most quotable lines ("I didn't invite you, I sent for you") while establishing her as someone with intimate knowledge of Alexis's past—and potentially dangerous intentions. Elsewhere, Fallon's wedding preparations are interrupted by the return of troubling symptoms from her concussion, coinciding with sudden doubts about marrying Jeff. Tracy Kendall dramatically quits after revealing she's been spying for Dex, and Kirby's increasingly erratic behavior culminates in a disturbing scene with a gun. As the penultimate episode of the season, "New Lady in Town" masterfully sets up multiple cliffhangers while delivering the glamour, scheming, and emotional confrontations that make Dynasty an enduring television classic. Don't miss this pivotal episode that promises to change the power dynamics of Denver's elite forever.

I am breaking protocol a littlebit today.
I started started watching this10 minutes in.
I can't keep my mouth shut.
Surprise, surprise.
So we're going to deep diveinto this episode of Dynasty
because the questions arealready mounting and, like I

(01:13):
said, we are 600 seconds intothe show.
How are you doing?
Enough about me?
How are you doing?
How's your day shaping up?
Enough about me?
How are you doing?
How's your day shaping up?
Mine is actually going prettywell.
I have some exciting, just funthings that have come through
email, some wonderful tidbitsthat I found out.

(01:37):
We're going to do that on thenext episode because I did not
come prepared today, but I dohope you'll stick around for
that.
Go ahead and pour yourself upsomething bubbly and bright.
We're going to jump back intoDynasty.
This is season four, episode 26.
New Lady in Town.
Oh Lord, I didn't even see that.
I went ahead and started thisepisode and you can just kind of

(01:59):
push pause and it'll tell you.
New Lady in Town.
I was like who?
Oh oh, you think it's Kirby'smom.
Oh shoot, I've kind of been one.
Okay, before we get into that, normally when it gets towards
the end of a season I startgoing through the soap opera
playbook.
But time has changed.

(02:20):
Season four seems to be on itsown trajectory.
Of course I'm not on seasonfour, I'm not slanding it, but
season four seems to be doingwhatever it wants to do new
characters being introduced orreintroduced, rather.
So I would think the new ladyin town would have to be
somebody we've already talkedabout, like we have the Dexter
episode, we have the Tracyepisode.

(02:41):
They introduced everybody atthe beginning.
I hadn't noticed anyone elseknew.
So I would think, unless it'sgosh now I'm thinking there's
Matthew's mom has already poppedup.
We didn't know she was coming.
They've talked about Kirby'smom.
Maybe it's that weird lady fromthe cemetery.

(03:02):
Let me shut up and get into it.
Y'all Pour up something bubblyand bright.
Season 4, episode 26,.
New lady in town of Dynasty.
So at the top of the show we seeCrystal in her bedroom taking
spider bites of her breakfast.
She's not feeling great.
She looks amazing in yetanother couture robe, while
Blake is getting dressed for theday.

(03:23):
He's about to go ride horseswith Jeff and let Jeff know that
the money ain't coming the waythey thought it was coming.
So they're going to have tothink of something else to do.
But they give a little advice, they give a little background of
what's going on.
So I suppose it's been a fewdays.
It's been a little bit of timesince Mark happened.
Blake says to Crystal listen,I'm going to go ride with Jeff,

(03:46):
I want to tell him the bad newsabout the loan extension not
happening.
And Crystal says gosh, we'vehad our share of bad news,
alexis, and what she's doing toyou, which I don't know what the
heck Alexis is doing to him, because they don't know that
she's behind that.
What does she say?
And then, mark, she just can'tget over mark.
She's like I just can't believehe would try to kill himself.

(04:07):
Blake says well, I mean that'swhat the cop said.
Why would you believe anythingelse?
She goes well, I was married tohim.
I mean sure he had his ups anddown, but that don't even sound
like him.
That doesn't sound likesomething he would do.
Blake goes well, I mean, listen,he was a womanizer.
He couldn't keep a good job andyou know he liked to drink, he
liked that sippy poo, poo.
And she's like damn, like he'sbeen dead 15 seconds.

(04:29):
Could you please not?
That's why I'm sorry.
I didn't mean to upset you, butI'm just saying maybe those
things mounted up, maybesomething was going on, and
she's like no, the last time Isaw him, world, he even said I'm
on top of the world.
But I know somebody who'd liketo push me off.
Now.
I had forgotten.

(04:51):
He said that and I sat out loudand said Crystal, he sure did,
he sure did say that, he suredid.
I heard him say that, but Imean it was such a throwaway
line I didn't think twice aboutit.
But yeah, it's probably thatMcVeigh guy, because he's the
one who followed.
Remember, he followed him tothe bank.
He knew he had that new money.
Alexis doesn't really seem tocare.
She wouldn't mind if he was ontop of the world or not.
There's that.
So Jeff and Blake go ridinghorses out in their beautiful

(05:14):
stable and vineyard or whatever,or all that open land.
Blake tells Jeff what's goingon but he says could you please
keep it from Fallon?
She's really happy.
She's got a few weeks to thewedding.
I don't want to say anything toupset her.
Jeff says no, I'm not going todo that.
First off, she's a grown woman.
You got to stop treating herlike she's a little girl.
Plus, I'm not going to lie toher like that.

(05:35):
You're asking me to lie bykeeping this big secret.
I'm not going to do that inbusiness and I'm certainly not
going to do that to my futurewife.
Jeff goes promptly home and wecan see Fallon in her beige
bedroom I hate everything aboutthis bedroom.
And Jeff enters with a tray offood and he's back in his denim
on denim.
He's pulling out that Billings, whatever, whatever got him

(05:58):
lucky in billing.
He's wearing that.
So he is quite literally thedenim doormat, crawls into bed
with her kisses, her awake, andshe's like oh, just promise me,
promise.
All these damn promises.
All of a sudden, promise meyou'll wake me up every morning
as your wife with a kiss.
I what's the over under on that?

(06:21):
I guess it would be cheating ifyou were an og.
You already know all us newbies.
Come on, I give it to what isthis?
Season four in the season?
Girl, boy, children who arelistening and don't have no
business listening.
I give this relationship untilepisode seven, season five, tops
.
Episode seven, season five,tops.

(06:45):
Anyway.
He's like hey, uh, your daddytold me not to tell you, but I
need to tell you.
He didn't get that loan deal,so I may be going broke.
Do you think you'd still beable to be married to a pauper?
Ladies and gentlemen, this iswhen I decided to push record
because I'm like are you kiddingme?
Right now, there's nothing lessendearing than someone trying

(07:08):
to wear the veil of, or wear thethe mantle of poverty when it
when they've never experiencedthat Poor people can pretend to
be rich.
You know what I'm saying.
It's kind of easy to do.
There's enough evidence.
You can.
You could probably fool otherpoor people into thinking you're
somewhat wealthy, but wealthypeople are going to be able to

(07:28):
clock that right away, sir apopper, don't you?
You own a whole nother company, the number one company.
So come on.
This scene is really annoying.
Oh she's.
She tells him Jeff, I'm notmarrying you for your money, as
if she don't own a whole asshotel herself.
Can we stop?
Can we stop?

(07:48):
All of his eggs are notinvested into Denver Carrington
anyway, but foreclosure is onthe horizon.
If they can't think ofsomething else, why Jeff doesn't
offer to put up some money?
I'm sure I don't know.
You know why?
No, actually I do know, becauseJeff has options.
But yeah, they're the poorlittle couple that got back

(08:13):
together despite love being keptfrom them, and now they're not
confused.
They have a beautiful son, butthey may lose all their money.
Y'all shut up, shut up up.
Sell some of these vases andand all this jewelry.
That's jaja ring she's wearingout of cover at least six

(08:33):
million.
They quickly decide that if allthe money goes down the toilet
with blake, they'll just liveoff of alexis for a little bit.
As they're making out, itliterally looks like he's about
to vomit.
Oh my God, oh my God.
This is amazing.

(08:54):
This is amazing.
Okay, blake is at his office.
We got to get to that first.
Blake is at his office withlawyer Andrew going over all the
things they can put up for saleso they can raise his money the
plaza, the football team, youknow other stuff.
Andrew mentions the mansion.
He's like that's, it's worth asmall fortune on its own 48

(09:17):
bedroom or 48 rooms.
I swear it was in the 50sbefore I know it was like 56, 57
, something like that, somethingoutrageous.
Blake's like okay, I guess if Ihave to put up a mortgage on
the house, fine, andrew goeswell, um, we can also sell
crystal stuff.
Why are you gonna sell crystals?
Crystal can't possibly havethat many things.

(09:37):
Blake gives fully upset,absolutely not.
I'm not gonna make her sellthings that I've already given
her.
I tend to agree with andrew.
I don't think Crystal's allthat attached to her stuff.
Plus, she probably grew up in atin can.
She's not really tripping and Imean she's only been married to
him.
What Three, four seasons?
That's at least $500,000 worthof clothes.

(09:58):
She didn't have enough stuff.
She has a bunch of scammerjewels.
She's got an incredible robecollection, but I don't know, I
don't think that would be muchof an impact.
But you know what is?
I'm sitting here and I hearorgan music, but it's.
I know that.
Ain't Mike, not Mike Jackson?

(10:19):
Y'all y'all?
Samantha Hoodrat Jones or SammyJo, I don't know what.
Samantha's?
What's her last name?
Is it Crystal's original name?
I can't remember.
Now Sammy Jo shows up in redleather on leather, on leather

(10:40):
knee boots and a boom box baby.
She got it on her shoulder, blasting Michael Jackson
thriller through the hallway.
I had to press pause and cackleleather knee boots and a boom
box baby.
She got it on her shoulder, blasted michael jackson thriller
through the hallway.
I had to press pause and cackle.
I better see a dance number.
This episode.
She is disrupting the stuffyold macho.
I'm kind of here for it.
That video used to scare the ishout of me.

(11:01):
My mama was a jackson fivestand, so you know.
When Michael came out sheadored Michael.
My sister was also a Michaelfan.
I didn't know what washappening.
This video had been out severalyears at this point.
By the time I sat down andwatched it I was up all night.
I could not believe.
Good, mike, who I sang toalmost every day of my life, was
in here, turning out dead andstuff.

(11:21):
It's terrifying.
What the heck guys?
Okay, I'm laughing, I'm kicking.
I'm having a wonderful timebecause sammy joe's country
behind is just doing theabsolute most.
She comes out in this workoutoutfit that is so cute.
To me, actually, it's like hotpink tights and a hot pink shirt

(11:43):
, but her leotard, or whateverit's called, is lavender.
And then all the other accentsare lavender her shoes, her leg
warmers, which is so 80s herhead man.
But she's having her good oldtime.
Crystal came in the room waslike listen, I need you to be
sweet.
Why are you here?
Sammy joe says I'm gonna besweet, auntie, I'm, you're
pregnant.
I'm not trying to upset yourlife in any way.

(12:04):
I'm gonna keep playing mikejackson super loud, but I'm
gonna be sweet, auntie, you'repregnant.
I'm not trying to upset yourlife in any way.
I'm gonna keep playing MikeJackson super loud, but I'm
gonna be cute.
Well, then she comes out in alittle workout outfit and she,
she slides down the banister andI can't say I blame her.
How could you not?
It's a sweeping staircase.
Okay, I was not warned and I'mgoing to need some tea.

(12:25):
This would be a good time forme to remind you that you can
always text me.
I love hearing from you guys.
If you're listening on yourmobile device.
Just check the show notes ofthis show and there's a link
that says send me a text.
Or you could send me an emailSoapLorePodcast at gmailcom.
That'sS-O-A-P-L-O-R-E-P-O-D-C-A-S-T at

(12:48):
gmailcom.
I love hearing from you and Iwill always respond back.
I can't respond back in text.
I'll mention you in the air,but I need y'all to email me.
Okay, I'm trying to keep itcute.
I don't think I can, so I needyou to keep it cute.

(13:10):
I don't think I can, so I needyou to watch the show.
I'm 11 minutes in.
Go back to like 1045.
Watch Sammy Jo fall down thesteps.
It's a whole thing.
She slides down the banister.
She gets off a little too soon.
The momentum's too much.
She ends up tumbling down thelast few stairs, splatter, tat,
tat on the carpeted floor.
But as she's falling, you knowshe lands in a semi-compromising
position.

(13:31):
Someone is walking down thehallway.
We can see some Adidas Also.
I don't think I've ever seenthis version of Adidas.
Adidas and a pair of very, veryshort gray workout shorts, and
it's 1984.
Very short gray workout shorts,and it's 1984.
So it's all fine.
I can't stress to you how shortthese are.
I don't even you know what I'msaying.

(13:52):
You know what I'm saying?
It's Adam and the rest of thisscene.
She is giggling.
I think she's giggling Probablythe same reason I'm gagged
right now.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys andgirls, go watch the scene and
y'all email me.
I don't.
Oh, my God, did nobody tell menothing?

(14:13):
Ok, y'all listen the shorts thelength back in the day.
I'm all for a little man thigh.
There's man thigh.
One and two episodes here.
How do I say this delicately?
So there was an incident at thelast Olympics.

(14:33):
There's like a pole vaulter,there's a couple of swimmers.
I'll say it like this Sometimesthe uniform, sometimes you
might need to alter your ownuniform.
That's all I'll say.
Sometimes you might need toalter your own uniform so that
it can be the most comfortablefor you, because this is a

(14:56):
television program and this isseason four and this is almost a
finale and Adam is totallytopless.
Also, I have to believe thiswas a choice, a rather
distracting choice.
I am shocked.
Okay, let me get through this.
I didn't know, that's all I'msaying.

(15:16):
I had no idea.
Adam is also so sleazy, oh mygosh.
So he picks her up.
She's obviously like whoa, hey,oh hi, and he like pretends to
dust her off, which is cute, butshe's, hey, remember me.
Thank you so much for callingme samantha.
Sammy joe, I sure hope I have afriend in the house.

(15:37):
And he was like, yeah, Ipromised I would make you as
welcome as possible.
So she's giggling like, oh,okay, well, I'm gonna go to the
gym.
It's down this way, right?
He's like yeah, I warmed it upfor you, adam, adam, adam.
I didn't rewind it because of aperp.
Rewind it because somethingcaught my eye.

(15:58):
Something else caught my eye.
It's clearly a stunt double.
When sammy joe rolls into thefloor and you can just kind of
see the um, you can see thelower half of adam walking down
the hallway, would they?
Would that have been a stuntdouble too?
Because it almost seems comical.

(16:21):
It almost seems comical.
I don't know if I, I don't.
Okay, it caught my eye becausethey're short shorts, but I had
to pause it to give you guys, like, the time stamp.
Um, is it like?
Was this a joke?
All of you dynasty aficionadosis what?
Did they play pranks on eachother?
Is that why they're laughing?
I don't know.

(16:41):
Okay, okay, we're gonna move on.
We're gonna move on.
It also occurred to me thatsammy joe is the new lady in
town.
She's not new.
I mean, she would be the newlady in town I.
I suppose Corrections are inorder.
The next scene is Alexa'slooking downright downtrodden at

(17:03):
her house.
She's looking over the balcony.
She's obviously very upset Inwalks, dexter, she didn't even
have the energy to be like fullysurprised.
What are you doing here?
You can tell she's just reallylow on it.
He tells her I heard aboutJennings, what happened to him
last night, so I wanted to comeand check on you.
So it hasn't been a week, it'sjust been a night.

(17:24):
Okay, crystal, first of all, Idon't know what she said, but it
made me.
It led me to believe it hadbeen like a week.
I swear she said that, butneither here nor there.
Dex wants to comfort her, butthen he starts talking to her.
He said when I bumped intoJennings in Hong Kong, he was
all like into you.
He was always asking mequestions about you.

(17:44):
I want to know what sort ofthing he offered you Like are
you in some sort of trouble?
She said I'm not in trouble, Iwant to be by myself.
And if I didn't want to be bymyself, I could call one of my
three kids.
And he's like no, no, no, theydon't know what I know.
That's when he tells her aboutJennings.
But eventually she just tellshim to leave, like maybe he came
on to me, maybe he didn't, itreally doesn't matter.

(18:05):
I want you to leave, dex.
Dex used the term.
He was pumping me about you.
He tried something on you, onyou.
He rejected.
He's trying to get to thebottom of the scheme and I can't
for the life of me reallyremember the length, like the
depth and length, of thatconversation they had in Hong
Kong.
So you might get with sort offleeting and I think, if memory

(18:27):
serves me correctly, all Marktold him was that Alexis is over
here shopping.
She's not doing anything weird, she's not trying to destroy
your company, she's just not inthe mood.
He, dex, is trying to rebuildsomething.
He's making it very clear thathe's not going to go away.
He's like you know what?
We used to be, lovers andfriends.
Why can't we at least still befriends?
She's like no, we were neverfriends.
I need you to leave.

(18:48):
So the next day at work, alexisis stressed.
There's about eight litcigarettes in her ashtray.
This must be Monday morning, because Tracy apologizes for
whatever happened on the weekend.
Alexis is like don't even trip.
What's up with Avril Dawson, the banker guy?
I need you to tell me what'sgoing on with Blake.
So Tracy says, in a word, nothing.

(19:09):
In two words, nothing.
Yet I have not had theopportunity to speak with Mr
Dawson, so I don't really haveanything on Blake.
Alexis is clearly annoyed.
Like dude, you have one job, tracy.
This is all Tracy can take.
She's like listen, I'm so muchmore than what is twints in my
legs.
I'm getting real sick of youpeople thinking I'm just going

(19:30):
to sleep my way to the top.
And Alexis is like well, who doyou mean?
You people?
Tracy has had enough.
Tracy has had all the ish she'sever going to take.
She's like you know what?
Let me let you know something.
I told Dex the same thing.
I ain't sleeping with nobodyfor information anymore.
I don't do that anymore.
Having to hitch a ride homefrom Hong Kong is more than
enough for me.
She lets Alexis know everything.

(19:51):
I have been sleeping with Dex.
Dex paid me good money to comeover here and spy on you.
Matter of fact, he's so hung upon you it makes me sick to my
stomach.
Both of y'all's trifling behinddeserve each other.
I want nothing to do with this.
I'm out.
By the way, before you tell meyou'll fire Ms Kendall, I quit.

(20:12):
God, that must have felt good.
That must have felt amazing.
And you know what she can do.
That because she really is goodat her job, never mind the
extracurricular activities.
Yeah, she sleeps her way to thetop, so what?
She could probably work her waya little too.
So she's good either way andshe's already collected two
checks, two salaries, so I'msure she's fine.

(20:33):
And she got a severance packetfrom blake.
She's good.
It is a little bit distractingbecause Alexis is wearing this
beautiful coral number, so youreyes are on her.
But if you look in thebackground you can see Adam's
headshot.
It's just a little bit smallerin a frame you can tell all the
kids are in.
That Looks like it could be hissenior picture, but we know

(20:54):
well enough she would not havethat now, would she?
She only met Adam a year or soago, but in an even larger, much
better frame is her headshot orwhatever.
Tracy Kendall, in cream dressedlike the golden girl, says
she's had it up to here andshe's not going to take it

(21:14):
anymore.
She walks out of the door pastbrand new male secretary, no
doubt and out of her way.
Now, speaking of cream, the nextscene is at La Mirage.
We see a whole bunch of guyscoming in with all this fly
luggage and then you see creamshoes, cream pants.
It's all shot kind of low tothe ground so you can see the

(21:36):
like, the caravan of people it'staking to bring in all this
stuff.
She's got her fur somebodywalking like they got big
business to attend to and I'mlike who the hell?
But then then I see the sideprofile.
I was like, oh my god, I forgot.
I totally forgot, I've been socaught up.

(21:57):
Backstory If you are new tothis hi, my name is Jet.
I'm watching these soap operasfor the first time.
I'm an elder millennial whodidn't experience this in real
time and knew very little aboutthis.
Coming into it With Dynasty, Idid know that Diane Carroll was
going to be on here.
I was really looking for herseasons one and two.

(22:18):
I really hadn't thought aboutit.
Three or four, I kind of forgot.
But when I caught the sideprofile I said that's a sister.
Is that my girl?
Okay, so she's an all cream.
She's got on this reallybeautiful brooch, that hair.
She's such a stunning woman.
I just have to wax poetic abouther for a little bit.
I remember seeing her in a fewthings growing up and I always

(22:39):
thought she was so elegant, sobeautiful.
Don't know a lot about her onthis show.
Totally, I can't believe Iforgot about that.
I think she's one of the firstBlack actresses to have her own
show, julia or something I usedto watch a lot of Lifetime
Intimate Portrait and plus Ihave, you know, clearly I have
the taste of an eight-year-oldwoman.
So these people are in my orbita little bit.

(23:02):
Well, she comes in and she iskind of arguing with a guy from
front desk because he goes oh,here's a junior suite, she needs
two bedrooms.
She says she don't sleep in herclothes and she doesn't sleep
with her clothes.
She needs a whole room for herclothes.
I have never been called poorin 4K before, not me sleeping in

(23:22):
a room with my clothes.
Does a closet count as a suite?
She's not having that.
Well, okay, right about thistime Fallon overhears this and
she's like oh, that's not aproblem, we can get you in a
bigger suite.
She says hi, I'm Fallon Colby,I'm the owner of La Mirage.
Her name is Devereaux.
That reminds me of um.
Why am I thinking of designingwomen?

(23:46):
I feel like I've heard thatname before.
Okay, well, miss Devereaux saysColby, you must be Alexis
Colby's daughter.
She's like yes, I am, alexis ismy mother.
So while her bags are going upto the Dorado suite, there's a
little chatter, chatter, chit,chit.
Apparently, this woman has readabout her in an English
magazine.
God, you're so beautiful.

(24:07):
It's a lovely name for a lovelyyoung woman.
This is such a classyconversation.
I love this.
She's also read about them.
So I don't know if she's readabout.
Well, I don't know.
She might've read about Blake.
I don't know where she wouldhave read about Alexis from.
You know they exchanged alittle pleasantries.
All right, I don't say this toput a damper on anything, but it

(24:28):
is no.
I've always noticed this in theeighties.
They don't quite understand howto put brown curls and brown
makeup.
It's always a little bit ashy.
Hers looks really good.
I hope fashion fair steps in atsome point.
Meanwhile, back at the mansion, sammy Jo is waiting to ride a
horse Topless.
Tony comes out almost didn'trecognize him.

(24:51):
He's got on a full shirt.
He brings the wrong horse.
He's like oh, I would reallylike to ride Snowflake.
I really like riding him and Ilived here.
I may never get to ride himagain, Do you mind?
He's like not a problem, let mego ahead and get him saddled up
.
I did read something aboutTopless Tony and it broke my
heart A few episodes back.
I thought he was on anothershow.

(25:12):
I was like, oh, I thought onFalcon Crest, oh, I fought on
Falcon Crest.
I was like, let me make sure,is that Topless Tony from
Dynasty?
So I went to go look it up,look up the IMBD or whatever for
Tony, and found that this actor, bless his beautiful, beautiful
heart.
He died like the day before his33rd birthday.

(25:33):
It happened super quick.
It's like, oh my God, no, Ialways hate when you go to look
at an actor's page and they'rereally really young.
That either means they'rereally really old now or that
they didn't make it, and thatjust breaks my heart.
He's a young guy.
Rip to Tony.
So I'm going to enjoy everyscene he's in, and it was nice
to see him with his shirt on.

(25:54):
Anyway, tony goes to get thehorse.
So Sammy Jo has no choice butto kind of linger around for a
little bit and she hears Adamand Kirby pull up.
Adam pulls up in a Monte Carlo.
God, I ain't seen a Monte Carloin a long time, not like that.
He pulls up to tell Kirby, who's getting ready to ride
horses, that Blake is sendinghim to Las Vegas for the

(26:18):
afternoon to see if they couldsell the plaza.
And he's like, hey, why don'tyou come with me?
And then, when I'm done, maybewe can get married.
And she's like, oh, I hateNevada.
You know I hate Nevada and I'mnot getting married in Vegas
again.
Last time I did that, it was awhole sham.
He's like I'm sorry, that was alittle insensitive of me, but
okay, it didn't have to be Vegas.
But I feel like every time Imake plans for our future you

(26:39):
act like you're disgusted bythem.
I'm starting to think thiswedding isn't going to happen.
I am too.
I don't know why Kirby got anattitude all of a sudden.
Maybe, oh, she's irritated thathis mother is still alive.
Number one, number two shemight still be a little sweet on
Jeff, I don't know.
I'm about halfway through theshow.
I think Sammy Jo was earhustling from the horse stall,

(27:01):
so she knows Adam and Kirby arehaving problems.
She was supposed to leave thatday.
I'm assuming she has decidednot to leave because of this
incident.
We see Alexis talking to Stephen.
She's like Stephen, I need youto go to New York tonight.
There's a whole issue.
I need you to take care of.
Bad news though.
Someone else in the companytook the plane this morning.

(27:21):
He's like ew, I have to flycommercial Gross.
I don't know why he couldn'tjust ask his dad like hey, can I
borrow the plane?
That has to be par for thecourse.
If you're going to have allyour children living under one
roof and you know they work fordifferent companies you won't to
let that fly sometimes and theybetter enjoy that plane while
they have it.
Steven says you know sammy doeis flying back to new york

(27:43):
tonight, so let me go ahead andcall ahead, see what flight
she's on and make sure I'm noton that one.
And they just kind of laughabout it.
But meanwhile, back at themansion, samantha is walking
around her oversized bedroom.
She has the best bedroom on theshow.
Crystal comes in in an allsequin skirt suit, black sequins
where she goes.
Hey, we're about to go out toeat, but I wanted to make sure

(28:05):
you were ready.
I'm going to have thechauffeurs take you to the
airport.
What time is your flight?
Samantha, or Sammy Jo, says oh,it's canceled.
Well, I'm not taking it tonight.
Turns out the ad campaigndoesn't need me right away.
It was canceled, so I'm goingto stick around Denver for a
little bit.
Crystal looks like her stomachjust dropped Like they just like
somebody walked over her grave.
Oh, my, oh, how long is alittle?

(28:27):
While Sammy looks over hershoulders.
That's why I don't know.
Listen, if it's going to be aproblem with me staying here,
I'll just take my son and goback to La Mirage.
Crystal's like no, no, no, no,no, no, no, it's okay, you can
stay here.
Let me tell the family.
Samantha has what we callleverage.

(28:48):
Now I can't imagine that Blakewould take his own son to court
to secure custody of this baby.
Stephen is awarded custody andthey did nothing to secure this
baby from.
Samantha Seems like she shouldhave been totally out of the
picture, but she's not and sheis leveraging that kid.
I don't know what she hasplanned, but Crystal is kind of
punked.
She has to leave the room.
Sammy Jo puts on her music andit's girls just want to have fun

(29:11):
and you can barely hear someonesinging over it.
I guess they didn't quite havethe licensing, but I bet they
could play maybe 10 seconds ofit without getting in trouble,
as long as it's not the realvoice.
Whoever singing the song didn'tknow the words, and it's the
chorus I'm like dang.
So the next scene we see MissDeborah bro eating breakfast and
cream, which is very impressivebecause you're drinking, like

(29:33):
this, orange juice.
But again, I'm just not used tothese sorts of things.
She sees Fallon and she's likeoh my gosh, have a little
breakfast with me.
Do you want to sit down with me?
Fallon's like of course, areyou enjoying your stay?
I am loving my stay.
Thank you so much.
Is this your first time inDenver, mrs Devereaux?
As a matter of fact, it is.
I grew up loving the wild, wildwest.

(29:54):
I've always wanted to come toDenver.
Fallon's's like oh well, it'snot wild anymore.
According to the city, you know, it's booming and it's just
covered with wealth and whatnot.
Deborah is kind of weird.
She's like oh well, speaking ofwealth, isn't your mom the
wealthiest woman in Denver, maybe even the world?
I love that we get this historylesson.
This is so dynasty, this ispeak, typical dynasty to give us

(30:17):
an entire backstory we didn'tknow we needed.
So Deborah Rose is like yeah, isn't your mother the wealthiest
woman in Denver, possibly theworld?
It's like damn that rich.
So Kobe Co is that big?
Okay, fallon's like I mean, she's up there, she does all
right.
Well, tell me about your mother.
I know she was born in Englandand then she went to school in

(30:44):
Switzerland and then she was inthis and this.
She married Blake Carringtonwhen she was 17 years old.
She bore him three beautifulchildren.
Like.
It's a little off-putting onceyou consider that this wouldn't
have been in the paper.
This sounds like maybe you hada PI or you've been stalking me
for a really long time.
Also, there's no internet.
So how the hell does she?

(31:05):
I mean, I guess this might becommon knowledge.
You'd have to.
You'd have to focus in on it,though.
You know what I'm saying.
It isn't like you'd meetsomebody or read a magazine
about some wealthy woman acrossthe globe, unless she had her
own book or something.
This seems like personalinformation that would be very
easy to find on a Wikipedia pagein 2025, but not 1985.
Fallon feels the same way.
She's like okay, hold up.

(31:25):
So who are you really?
Are you a reporter?
Why do you know so much aboutmy mom?
You definitely didn't read thatin a magazine.
What's really going on?
Who are you and what do youwant?
I love it, fall.
What's really going on?
Who are you?
What do you want?
I love it.
Fallon plays no games.
I'm actually liking her thisepisode.
Somebody's sitting right withfallon and she's like are you a
society columnist from new yorkor somewhere?
Is that why you look sofamiliar to me?

(31:47):
Dev devoro, excuse me, devorosays that's very amusing
columnist.
No, she goes, but if we everdid meet before, it's your job
to remember me, not the otherway around.
Fallon's had enough.
She's like listen, let me justput you up on game.
My mom is not one to be tussledwith.
She is as tough as nail.
So if you want to start some, you pick the right one on the

(32:08):
wrong day.
Then Fallon gets up to leave.
She tells the wait staff missDeva Rose, I have closed caption
.
On.
I have to say miss Deva Rose, breakfast is on the house.
On.
I have to say Ms Deva Rose, breakfast is on the house.
That is so classy to be wealthyenough to be like.
You know what.
Enjoy your free meal you justgot from me, because that's all
you're going to get.
But you know, enjoy theamenities.
Here we go.
It is trifle, lynn Lord.

(32:30):
She is disrupting the fabric ofthe home.
Claudia in a much betterwardrobe.
Who's bullied into that, by theway, by Alexis.
Listen, it's paying off.
The woman knows she talkingabout Claudia's hair is no
longer crispy.
She looks like a respectable, wealthy woman.
She's sitting in the door whileSammy Joe comes in saying hey,

(32:51):
nurse, nervous, nelly, go aheadand put the baby in something
warm.
I'm gonna take him outside.
And the nanny's like well, I, I, mrs Carrington told me not to,
because he's coming down with acold, like he's not really
feeling great.
I don't care what she said, I'mMrs Carrington too.
I'm the only one that matters,I'm his real mother.
Put him in a coat and then sendhim outside.
Claudia comes in to make thelunch arrangements for the baby.

(33:13):
She's like make sure he gets abaked apple.
And then she's like Sammy, didyou notice that yesterday he was
super irritable.
That's how he acts when he'sabout to be sick.
See, claudia would know thatbecause she's with the baby all
the time.
Sammy Dell was like nah, Ididn't notice because when he
was with me he was having onehell of a good time.
We had us a time.
So maybe he just acts like thataround you because you're a

(33:35):
fake phony fraud.
He knows you're not his realmother, like me.
Claudia's like okay, as absurdas that is, I understand that
you and I aren't ever going tobe friends, but please put the
kid first.
Like, could you please thinkabout him?
Don't use him just as like this, this weapon to get what you
want.
Samantha's like girl, like Isaid, that's my baby.
I will do what I want when Iplease Storm's out.

(33:57):
She is wreaking havoc.
Y'all gonna have to.
I'm not saying put a hit out onher, but y'all gonna have to do
something.
It's gonna have to be extremetoo.
Don't take the baby outside.
That's my thing.
Let her fight.
She can't just walk off withhim.
She can't.
Somebody has had about enough.
And she picks up the phonesaying she wants to make a
person to Mr Stephen Carrington.

(34:19):
I don't understand what thatmeans.
What other she called theoperator?
I don't understand what thatmeans.
A person to person call.
Where the hell else would it be, even if?
Okay, I'll look it up.
See, there used to be a timewhen a man knew how to put a
woman in a place.
Sammy Jo is running amok, butyou know who's not?

(34:44):
Not anymore Alexis.
Well, if you recall, accordingto Lord, blake put a stop to her
foolishness when he felt likeshe wasn't being an appropriate
mother to his children.
He iced her out without asecond thought because he
thought he was doing what hecould or he thought he had the
power to do so.
Well, this next scene is alittle bit uncomfortable,

(35:04):
knowing that backstory if you'rehim.
So he and Andrew were in hisoffice and Andrew was telling
Blake that Crystal was more thanwilling to sell that horse that
Peter the filibuster gave heror stole and gave her, and
whatever the coke horse, right, she's willing to sell it.
And Blake just can't believe it.
Like, really, she would partwith that Andrew's like.

(35:25):
She's way more practical thanyou would think.
Again, she comes from abackground where she didn't have
all this opulence, so I'm sureshe would be perfectly happy in
like a three bedroom house, niceneighborhood.
She'd probably be okay withworking again.
She ain't really tripping onthe horses and all that stuff.
It's nice, but it's definitelynot like her personality.
So Blake is humbled by this act.

(35:47):
And he says you know what, could you do me a favor?
Make an appointment with Alexis.
I don't care how busy sheclaims to be, call my baby mama,
I want to meet with her.
And I gasped.
I'm thinking, oh my god, he'swilling to sell the company just
like that.
Well, no, earlier in the showthey talked very briefly about
this shale oil extraction.

(36:08):
I guess Blake has some sort oftechnology that makes it
possible and Alexis has thesehuge shale oil fields with
Dexter.
So he wants to sell thetechnology to her.
She don't know that.
So when he shows up at heroffice, I'm telling you the
technology to her.
She don't know that.
So when he shows up at heroffice, I'm telling you.
The man looks uncomfortable, helooks like he is lactose

(36:28):
intolerant.
He just ate two pounds ofcheesecake.
He's squirming, he's sweaty, hehas to eat crow and humble
himself in front of his babymother, who has been patiently
waiting for this day to come.
She's been patiently waitingsince the day he snatched her
from her kids.
We weren't there, we don't knowhow it really went down, but
that's how she felt.

(36:49):
You kept my kids away from me.
I didn't get to know my kids.
So they were full grown and Icould only show up when you
killed somebody.
So I mean, I feel a way aboutit.
I've been being cool all thistime, but I definitely feel a
way about it.
And she's dressing like thischocolate brown skirt suit with
huge chinchilla cuffs on the arm.
She's got a matching hat, thisbig, huge chinchilla muff hat,

(37:12):
and he presents the offer.
She's like oh so, here you go,blake.
I knew it was only a matter oftime.
Baby, you need that loan.
He's like no, I'm not here toborrow, I'm here to sell.
He goes in about the littleshell thing.
She's like listen, I don't knowif you know, the audience knows
now I am rich, rich, I am her,I am that chick.
I could plant daisies on thosefields.
If I feel like it, I don't needthat.

(37:34):
Blake's like don't, you took mefrom my kids.
I was begging to see them.
I never forgot that.
Now you're going to feel how Ifeel.
You can tell.
It just feels so good.
She's been waiting in her.
She was exiled by him.
She was tired of living herentire life at his mercy.

(37:56):
Now the tables have turned, you're going to feel me.
This whole scene is made allthe more entertaining by her
outfit.
It sucks to eat crow.
It sucks to eat crow withsomeone you have, I mean,
damaged in some way.
It sucks even more when theyare dressed in the biggest,

(38:18):
furriest hat ever with cuffs andshe's killing it.
She look at like, damn, I'mgonna make you suffer blake.
I guarantee you, finna sufferblake period.
Meanwhile, in new york, I guesssteven makes a stop before he
goes to take care of whateverbusiness and he stops at this
bar, probably his old stompinggrounds, and he runs into one of

(38:38):
his old harvard buddies andhe's like hey, how, you doing?
What's up with you?
Um, his homeboy's like yeah,I'm just out here trying to be
an actor.
You know what I'm saying, justyou know struggling.
Hey, I'm sorry to hear aboutted.
I knew you guys were happytogether and stuff.
And he's like yeah, Iappreciate that.
He's like I also read aboutyour divorce.
Like, are you good, are you inanother relationship?

(38:59):
And steven's like yeah, I am,I'm married, it's going real
good.
He's like, all right, bet, well, why don't you look me up in
the phone book while you're here?
We go to dinner, hang out orsomething.
Stephen, you know they were justkind of chatting when all of a
sudden Calvin Jimmy comes up.
Yes, that Calvin Jimmy, the onewho backhanded Sammy Joe into

(39:24):
Ohio.
Well, stephen, I guess, reachedout to him.
I don't know how he knew.
Oh, I know why he knew.
He knew him because let me backup a little bit Calvin Jimmy is
under the impression thatStephen has come to start
trouble because of Sammy Joe.
Stephen is under the impressionthat he can get some answers

(39:44):
from Calvin Jimmy about whenthis whole ad campaign is
supposed to kick off so he canfigure out how long he has to
put up with Sammy.
Well, calvin starts talking.
He's like listen, I don't wantany trouble.
Samantha left, you know, she'skind of got up, I don't want any
trouble.
He's probably thinking Stephenknows that he smacked her up,
flipped her, didn't rub her down.
Steven is like hey, hey, hey, let's be very clear.

(40:05):
I don't care what you do ordon't do with Samantha.
I was trying to figure out whenyour campaign is going to start
shooting.
Calvin Jimmy's very confused.
What campaign?
You know, the makeup campaign, the one that she's on?
Calvin's like oh, she didn't.
Sir, let me tell you about yourgirl.
That's not happening.
That whole thing was scratched.

(40:26):
It was never going to happen.
She got real upset about it.
She told me she was sick in NewYork.
She left me with all the rentto pay, as if he's not keeping
up his side check.
She left me with all the rent.
She told me she was down in NewYork.
She ain't never coming back.
Steven looks like somebodywalked over his grave.
He's like wait what?
Yeah, she says she ain't nevercoming back.

(40:49):
She went to Denver.
She's done.
I was like oh my God.
I said at the last episodeAlexis needs some sort of
security system.
She needs a lock on the door, code code, something, any and
everybody is always up in herapartment.
She comes home riding the highof humiliating Blake or having
him grovel at her feet as muchas he would grovel.

(41:09):
Dave Boyce says it's adetective and a cop.
They're in Mark Jennings' room, kind of looking over everything
.
She's like okay, cool, you needanything, just let me know.
And the detective's like well, well, yeah, I still have a few
questions.
She goes, really, I told youliterally everything I know.
He goes.
Well, walk me through it again.
Okay, cool.
I came home, mark jennings wasdrunk.

(41:31):
I went upstairs to get dressed.
I came back down, he was gone.
I went down to the car, went tothe party.
The officer says well, you saidyou heard the ambulance and
stuff when you got down to thecar.
She's like yeah, I did, he goes.
Well, that means that he wouldhave fallen while he was up here
.
You didn't hear anything.
You didn't hear any arguing, you didn't hear any scream, no,

(41:53):
nothing.
I literally didn't hearanything.
I went and got in my car.
He just wasn't around.
We as the audience know that sheis very used to sending Mark to
his room and he's always got abucket of something to drink or
a snack.
So no, she would not have beenlooking for him.
Well, the officer has done somedigging and he wants to know.
He said well, you know, thechambermaids and La Mirage said

(42:16):
that you used to visit his roomseveral months ago.
You used to go in his roomquite often.
Actually, she goes well, he'smy bodyguard.
But back, I mean initially, early on, it was a little bit of
a personal nature.
The detective wants to know whyshe didn't mention that she goes
well, it didn't really haveanything to do with anything, it
was several months ago.
Like I said, I mean I don'treally see what it has to do.

(42:38):
I didn't find it important.
So it's clear that they'restarting to look at her as a
suspect, kind of building thisstory of her being a lover.
She goes well for someone whoyou used to visit.
You didn't think it was weirdthat he wasn't out when you came
downstairs.
She goes listen, I paid him, hewas my bodyguard, not the other
way around.

(42:58):
I don't know why she has tokeep telling people this I don't
check on the help, the helpchecks on me.
I had to go to a party Ialready said this Like I don't
understand what you don'tunderstand and the detective's
like man.
That sure is weird.
It's really weird.
You didn't bring that up.
She tries to offer him a drinkand he says he can't drink.
On the job Side note, I boughtthat exact crystal cup today 'm

(43:25):
so happy glasses she's drinkingout of today, really building a
collection or a set.
My goal is to at least have aset.
Anyway, he goes.
I just can't believe you didn'ttell me about the relationships
he goes.
I didn't have to, it wasshort-lived.
He says, like your friend markjennings oh how tacky.
Oh, my god, I don't know whatthe heck's wrong with these
people.
This episode.
She's very upset now.
Then he goes I'll take a raincheck on that drink.

(43:47):
You already told her no, thereain't.
No damn rain check.
You ain't coming back.
Okay, it's official.
The wardrobe department hatesKirby.
They're being sarcastic thistime.
Adam comes home from Vegas hesees Sammy Joe trying to force
feed baby Danny.
He don't know her like that.
He's not going to eat that food.
She's struggling but she's goton like a cute robe or whatever.

(44:07):
He chuckles, obviously thinkingabout what it's going to be
like to have a little family ofhis own, goes upstairs and he
gently rat-a-tat-tats on thedoor.
I guess he and Kirby aren'tsharing a room, or maybe he's
just being polite, I don'treally know.
Maybe he's going to counseling.
Maybe he's understanding thatyou can't just rage, hug people.
You got to be gentle.

(44:28):
You know what I'm saying.
So he's knocking on the door.
Kirby, I'm home.
I really want to talk to you.
She's all snippy inside.
You can't see her.
It's from behind the door.
Adam, I'm about to jump in theshower, so he leaves.
Corvitheus is not about to jumpin the shower.
Matter of fact, she probablyjust took one of those old basin
baths from a bowl on some sortof stool with some rag cloth,

(44:54):
keeping it very sepia toned.
She has on an old maid gown, full ruffles.
It is a hundred percent fromthe 18th century, but it is silk
.
I'll give her that it is silk,it's not cotton, it's not the
poor ones.
But she's sitting in her LizzieBorden hat and axe gown, cobalt
blue, petting her gun, herpistola, to sleep.

(45:16):
Lord, this girl.
Is that why she's so irritated?
She really wants to pop a capin a lexus and it's just not
coming to fruition.
So now she's starting a trip.
I hope she don't have anypremonitions and I hope there's
not an axe nearby.
I'm not joking about that gown,oh, and fallon it.
I guess her headaches are back.
She was getting a fitting forher dress.
I'm so dumb, I'm so silly.
The the scene opens up with, like this, drawing of somebody

(45:41):
in a gown.
I was like who's goopy butt isthat?
Oh yeah, I totally forgot.
I knew she was getting married.
It never once crossed my mindthat she would be wearing a
wedding dress.
I was genuinely confused, likewho the hell's getting?
Why?
They're a dress shop.
Oh yeah, that's right.

(46:01):
I guess she does need that, doesn't she?
Well, she's getting fitting andthere's some sort of
construction around the buildingand the women are really
apologetic.
The ladies in the shop, the sayyes to the dress ladies are
saying I'm so sorry they'reextending this building out.
And it's just god, it's so loud, so sorry.
Well, that sound stops andcrystal starts to go on about

(46:22):
how my waist is getting bigger.
I know you can't tell Crystal.
First off, nobody on this showhas a waistline, none of the
women.
They don't exist.
I don't know when peoplestarted to get chubby.
It certainly was not in 1984.
Crystal started to tell her howhappy she is and then Fallon
hears you hear it through, fallon that incessant sort of

(46:43):
drilling sounds like ajackhammer.
Again she goes oh my God, Iwish they'd stop.
I thought they stopped.
And Crystal's like girl, whatare you talking about?
Fallon's like you don't hearthat.
Crystal's like no, I don't hearthat.
So I guess that sound hasagitated her coma, or her excuse
me, not her coma her headachesagain, concussion, that's what I
meant to say has aggravated herconcussion to the point where

(47:04):
she was like I can't, I can't dothis fitting, just take me out
of this.
I'll figure it out tomorrow.
So a little later on I guessshe's playing.
She and Blake made a plan toplay pool together.
He mentioned that.
He's like hey, crystal told mewhen you were out today that you
weren't feeling well.
She's like I'm good, I thoughtI heard something, but I'm cool.
They start talking about youknow, the money issue.

(47:24):
She's like no, I'm not evenworried about it, dad, I know
you can take care of anybody oranything.
Tell me why the axe murderermusic comes on.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys andgirls, I swear to you on
everything I love, I literallydon't look at these ahead of
time.
That's a funny coincidence.
Why did they pick that music, the knife music, I guess too.

(47:48):
Okay, now that I say it outloud, I guess they want you to
understand the piercing feeling, cause I got that as soon as
they played it.
She almost drops the pulse.
They're like oh my God.
Blake said what's wrong?
Nothing, daddy, nothing.
He's like man, don't nothing.

(48:09):
Me, come on now.
What's wrong?
I don't know.
There's a lot going on.
I feel like I might be making amistake.
She didn't say anything aboutthe weird sound she just heard
and the piercing headache shejust got.
And he goes a mistake.
What do you mean?
I don't know if marrying Jeff'sa mistake.
I've made a lot of mistakes inmy life and I hurt him so bad
the last time.
Here we go.
So you're telling me that Jeffwell, jeff is a cause of your

(48:29):
headache.
He absolutely pushed her infront of that car.
I will never be convincedotherwise.
So, yeah, it is low key, hisfault.
Although I'm not going to, Ihave selective outrage.
I recognize my hypocrisy.
I understand.
I'm not saying it's okay, butI'm saying I could see how he

(48:51):
might come to the conclusionthat, hey, this might be my only
opportunity.
Let me go and push her out infront of this car to see what
happens.
To see what happens.
Now she's having secondthoughts.
So I wonder.
I thought it was the sound ofthe jackhammer that was making
her feel nauseous.
Is it the wedding?
Does she not have the bridegene, like Carrie Bradshaw?
I don't know, okay.

(49:11):
So at the 40 minute mark we seeSammy Jo coming out of her
bathroom in her suite, big giantroom.
Somebody's rat-a-tat-tatting onthe door.
Suite, big giant room.
Somebody's rat-a-tat-tatting onthe door.
She's wearing nothing but ateal towel.
It's steven.
He's mad because he just sawkelvin jimmy, so when he opens
the door he sees that she's inthat, or when she opens the door
, he sees that she's in a towel.
He's like I'll come back withyour dress.

(49:32):
He's still pissed, but he'slike I mean, last thing he need
to be caught up in is a housewith this woman who used to ring
his bell for one reason oranother.
So she's like well, come on in.
You've seen me in a whole lotless than this.
How do you think we made a baby?
He's like speaking of babies.
He goes ahead and he comes inthe room and he shuts the door
and I'm like oh, you shouldn'tshut the door, you should have
left it wide open.
You told me you was coming hereto see him for the weekend.

(49:55):
Samantha, my god, she is one ofthose people.
Okay, when she first came onthe show, I was really excited,
like, oh, she's gonna be a badgirl.
Then she disappeared, so Iassumed she was gone forever and
ever.
She has caused more trouble inthis one episode than most

(50:15):
people the entire season.
I love it.
She's so trifling.
She pulls open her towel andshe does like a little hoochie
dance.
She's like I know, steven, Ican hear you, you don't have to
shout.
And she's shimmying her ladybits at him.
You know, when Alexis rolled upthe window in the last episode,

(50:39):
she maintained eye contact.
I've never been able to do that.
I hadn't been approached mywindow too many times but there
was this homeless gentleman, this one time that I would see
around town.
It's not funny that he'shomeless, but or maybe he lived
nearby.
I kind of think he had a housenearby.
He just didn't like being athome.
He stopped me for a couplebucks and I gave it and then he

(51:02):
kind of walked off.
So I was in my car about toleave but when I turned back he
was like smiling, this wide, toothless grin he was.
He did like a little hoochiecoo.
He opened his coat he was fullydressed by the way.
It like wiggled his pelvis anddid a little hoochie coochie
dance.
It looked exactly like her.

(51:23):
I'm like, my God, they're goingto crack me up every time.
Get out of here, go home.
She drops the towel on theground and I swear I only press
pause because I'm like don'ttell me she was in there with
pantyhose on.
I think this might be the eraof the spray on tan, or maybe
she went tanning before, but Idon't know.

(51:44):
Kind of looked like she had onpantyhose Girl.
You were not in that showerwith a full pair of pantyhose on
.
I don't know, guys, I think shemight be wearing.
That's the thing that stood outto me, not even her nakedness.
It was a hoochie coochiedancing Girl.
Are you wearing nylons?
Steven ain't trying to havethat.
You're not going to shimmy infront of me with nylons on.

(52:04):
We here to talk about my son.
And when you finna get up outof here, so he walks over to a
chair and he throws a silk robeat her, she puts it on.
She's like all right, cool.
Who did you talk to in New York?
The guy's real name is she'slike all right, all right.
So what?
So what?
I told a little lie, he's likea little lie.
You think that's a little lie.
You told me you were this model, telling me you're gg, hadid or

(52:28):
somebody.
And now I find out you're not.
You're like an ig model.
Barely samantha says.
I call it what I want, as inthe little lie okay, okay, she's
like.
You know what I really hadintended.
I had intended on coming herefor the weekend, spending a
couple hours with the kid andthen going back to New York to

(52:49):
get back on my grind.
But you know what?
I'm sitting there, I'm enjoyingthis life and I think you know
what.
No, I love that baby.
I want him back, so I'm gonnastay, and Stephen's like stay,
where he is really focused onher, not being around him, which
I respect, but he's like whatyou mean?
Stay here, here, here, where,where.

(53:10):
Here I'm gonna get an apartment, I'm gonna get a job and then
the baby will be with me all thetime.
Lord, have mercy on tv, on tv,on tv.
Higher heaven on tv, on tv, ontv.
This reminds me like an episodeof maury or something, or jerry
springer, one of those wherethey do the paternity test and
then when the daddy finds outthat's not his or it is his, I

(53:31):
want the kid, I want full, because you don't want full
custody, you just don't want topay child support.
Make her pay child support, youguys.
Oh my god.
Okay, 43 minutes into the show, there's only four minutes left.
Deborah shows up and she's goton like white, blue, slash gray.
She kind of looks like she's onstar trek with this

(53:54):
asymmetrical.
I have never seen anasymmetrical cape until now.
That's kind of dope, asymmetrical cape fur lined.
It's white.
She's in a muted kind of dope, asymmetrical cape, fur lined.
It's white.
She's in a muted kind of alight coloring, is what I'm
saying.
She comes in and Alexis is inthis sort of what's the word I'm
looking for?
I want to say paper mache, butthat's not what I mean.
Kind of floral Think about howa flower opens organza, is that

(54:19):
the word I'm looking for.
Alexis was wearing black andgold is dope too.
They both look fantastic.
But as they start talking Irealize I have heard this scene.
I've seen people mimic thisscene, like on TikTok, but I
didn't.
I've never actually seen thescene scene.
I recognize the sound bite.

(54:41):
Oh my gosh, I feel so sillyright now.
I didn't realize this wasDynasty.
I think she's going to talkabout burned champagne.
I've definitely heard this.
Debra Rose was like thank youso much for inviting me, alexis,
and she goes.
I didn't invite you, I sent foryou.
Okay, I've heard this onHousewife memes.

(55:01):
I've seen this all over theplace.
I am so embarrassed I didn'trealize that this came from the
show.
Okay, let me enjoy this.
I feel a lot less silly as theepisode as it goes on.
These are soundbites.
I've heard soundbites.
I've seen memes.
Now I know it's Alexis andshe's holding receipts.

(55:22):
I've got the receipts.
I've seen memes.
Now I know it's Alexis andshe's holding receipts.
I've got the receipts.
I see that meme.
But yeah, this scene wasdefinitely a clip I sent for you
.
There's a whole notherconversation going on all in
between this.
Alexis must have been called byFallon or something at some
point because she invitedDevereux over.
Devereux Excuse me, I keepsaying Devereux.

(55:43):
She invited her over and shegoes.
I don't like you.
I think I've heard that toobefore.
I don't know why I don't likeyou.
I don't generally don't likepeople.
I don't know.
And Alexis says you know, it'sjust kind of in poor taste.
A good reporter should alwaysgo to the source.
Ms Devereux says baby clock thejewels, see the hair.

(56:04):
You see it.
You see the outfit.
Does this look like a reportercould afford this?
And Alexa's like I don't know.
I don't know if you rent therunway or not.
You can rent anything nowadays.
Did not know you could rentthings in the 80s.
I don't know if that's true.
She's being insulting.
But Ms Devereaux says but youknow what you can can't rent
intelligence b and I'm a smartcookie, I'm a very intelligent

(56:27):
woman, but you wouldn't knowthat because you don't know me
like that.
Okay, she's giving me thecreeps a little bit.
The hell, she's just kind ofgoing down the list.
You don't know me, but I know alot about you.
Alexa's like okay, well, whatdo you want to know?
Nothing for now.
I've heard.
I just wanted to see if it wastrue.
I heard that you're one of theworld's most natural beauties.
I'll give you that.

(56:47):
You cute or whatever.
I heard you live in thisfabulous penthouse.
It is quite exquisite, I'llgive you that.
Then she starts reading justrandom facts like yep, you get
seasick on yachts.
Alexa's like only little ones.
You studied abroad.
You got expelled at this school.
You're weak when it comes toyour children.
You're ruthless againsteveryone else.

(57:07):
It's.
She's definitely been spying onher, but why, I don't know.
It's mad creepy.
And Alexis was getting more andmore pissed off as she hears it
.
She's like yeah, I heard youwere a model in some part,
gustav, something like that.
Hear just like yeah, I heardyou were a model in some part,
gustav, something like that.
Alexa's like no, no, no, youhave that wrong.
It was in brussels.
I was an art model, I guess anudie model, which I don't think

(57:28):
she would care if the worldknew that.
Yeah, this is weird.
I'm thinking okay, she ownsanother company or she's about
to own another company, why elsewould she give us?
I mean, who cares?
But she's not really sayinganything about the cup.
Let me listen more.
Okay, I think they probably hadas much fun doing that as I had
watching that, because whenDevereaux makes her way, okay,

(57:49):
she does say the whole line, which we've all heard oh, the
champagne is burned.
And then she says the caviar isnot really up to her taste.
And so Alexa's like okay, whoare you for real?
Who are you?
You'll find out very, very soon.
Ciao, for now.
We've all heard that.
I love it so much.
But when she gets to theelevator, she's looking back at

(58:09):
Alexis and it kind of looks likeshe wants to bust out laughing
a little bit.
The door closes and you look atAlexis and she looks like she
wants to laugh a bit too.
Interesting, interesting.
So okay, okay, we got more thanone new lady in town.
Sammy Joseph is a squatter.

(58:30):
She is holding the Carrington'shostage by way of baby Danny.
I need to get on the interwebsand figure out what a
face-to-face call is and who isthis lady?
I'm going back over what shesaid.
She knows that alexis is rich, that she's pretty and that she,
so it must be, it must be anenemy, because she she said to

(58:51):
alexis you're weak when it comesto your kids, but ruthless when
it comes to enemies andsomething, something I'm
paraphrasing.
You definitely have a lot ofthose.
So I wonder if it's someone shewould have screwed over Again.
She's not really sayinganything about business.
So I mean, is that Rush?
Oh well, no, because she seemsto be American.

(59:14):
I don't know.
Diane Carroll has that wholetransatlantic accent and I want
to say Alexis kind of soundslike she does too.
I know she's British, but it'snot a heavy British accent.
It's kind of that transatlanticaccent, little bit of
mid-century residue left over ontheir voices.

(59:35):
I love it, by the way, but itmakes it really difficult to
tell she seems American.
So I would think, think, okay, maybe that was rashida meds
lover or something, that was hiswife or something at that point
I don't know.
Well, he's okay.
Well, we gonna find out.
I think the next episode is thefinale, so I'm gonna have to

(59:56):
chill.
Yep, the next one is a finale,so we will see what will be
revealed on that.
I don't really have a lot ofhigh hopes for that because
dynasty has been leaving us on acliffhanger.
So I mean we'll figure out atthe premiere.
Damn damn, now that I'm athousand percent invested.
Bravo, dynasty, very, veryinteresting.

(01:00:17):
Wasn't expecting a buzzerbeater entry, but we'll just
have to wait and see.
