Many people incorrectly interpret Daniel's dream from Daniel Chapter 7 to mean the same thing as Nebuchadnezzar's dream from Daniel Chapter 2. They believe that the beasts represent nations that existed in the day and age of Daniel.

However, this is incorrect. Daniel's beasts cannot be nations of that age because his dream stated that they were nations of the future. Therefore, there is no way that they could represen...

The beasts that Daniel saw in the dream he wrote about in Daniel Chapter 7 represent modern nations of the 21st century. How can this be? There are several reasons that we will examine in today's message. The main points are that we know the dream was a vision of the future. Therefore, it could not represent any nations that were in existence while Daniel was alive.

In addition, Daniel didn't understand the dream. There...

It is great to have plans for your life. God is a planner and you should be as well. God has everything planned down to the tiniest detail. Everything that happens is part of God's great plan and he will use everything for the good of those who love him.

That being said, you can have plans for your life. However, it is very important to plan according to what God wants for your life. If you try to oppose him, things will not w...

Remember that God gave His only son as a sacrifice for your sins. Now, think about what that meant for Jesus. He came to earth with a purpose. He was on a rescue mission. Jesus came to save YOU.

He died for you. Jesus was willing to go through perhaps the most brutal form of execution in history. He was crucified and died so that you would be able to live in heaven.

You have been given a gift of grace. One that you definitely do...

You know the saying: "practice makes perfect". The unfortunate truth is that we can never be perfect. Therefore, it should really say: "practice makes almost perfect". That being said, how much practice do we need to be "almost perfect"?

A very common answer to this is 10,000 hours according to Malcolm Gladwell. That is a lot of time to spend working on learning a skill. However, there is a lot of truth to ...

Last week you learned about how many animals were really on the ark. A lot more than 2 of each kind of clean animal. Think about how large the ark had to be in order to house all of those animals for about a year.

It was huge. How huge? Grab your Bible and follow along as we examine the size of the ark and compare it to some modern-day vessels to give you a good reference.

Ever wonder why people lived to be so old back in the Old Testament? Well, it's because it is the "Old" Testament. Not really. The reason people, and animals like dinosaurs, lived to be so old and so large was because the world in which they lived was very different than the world in which we live today.

The environment back then was much better suited to sustain human life. In addition, reptiles that never stop growin...

Imagine what people thought the first time they experienced rain on the earth. For decades, they laughed and made fun of Noah as he and his family built the ark preparing for a flood. Then, one day, the heavens opened up and it rained as it had never rained before!

This first rain served many purposes and catastrophically changed our world. Of course, it assisted in flooding the earth to reset the population. In addition, it did m...

Ever wonder why people in the Bible lived to be so old? Methuselah, the oldest man recorded in the Bible was 969 years old! People back then lived a lot longer than they do today. The reason is that our world went through a catastrophic environmental change.

This change ended long life for humans and animals like dinosaurs. After all, you don't see huge lizards walking around today as you would have 5,000 years ago. (Not a ty...

Today we begin a 7-part sermon series about the state of the world during the time of Noah. Today's message is about how our earth is young. Yes, since life on earth began, our earth is only thousands of years old. Not millions.

If you believe the Bible, then there is no argument for this fact. However, if you have an issue with this, then you should definitely do a little more research into the Bible timeline and genealogy.

Jesus spent his entire life helping other people. We need to be more like Jesus and use our time to help others as much as possible. There are a few steps that can make this process easier and James tells us about them.

We need to be quick to listen to other people's requests. That doesn't mean responding right away. Sometimes, we need to be slow to speak and think about what the person is requesting. We can't always g...
