Jesus taught that marriage is meant to be permanent, saying, "What God has joined together, let no man separate" (Matthew 19:6). This commitment is not bound by fleeting emotions or circumstances but by a covenant of love, faithfulness, and mutual sacrifice.
The Apostle Paul further emphasizes this truth in Ephesians 5:25, instructing husbands to love their wives as Christ loves the Church, giving Himself up for her. Such love is enduring and sacrificial, going beyond mere convenience or temporary satisfaction. A marriage that lasts "till death do you part" reflects this selfless, enduring love.
This sermon challenges Christians to reconsider the true meaning of marital commitment. In a world that often treats relationships as disposable, God calls believers to honor the covenant of marriage with perseverance, forgiveness, and grace.
