L’histoire de la famille Roset commence à Montagnieu dans l’Ain. En 1860, Antoine, le fondateur, monte une petite fabrique de cannes pour ombrelles. Après la guerre, c’est son fils Jean qui reprend l'entreprise et développe du mobilier pour les collectivités, avant de se passionner courant 1970 pour le mobilier contemporain avec toutes ses nouvelles formes libres et créatives.
Dans cet épisode, on s’installe un petit moment dans la maison de Jean pour discuter en famille avec Pierre et Michel et leurs deux fils Antoine et Olivier. Ils forment un quatuor pères-fils qui assurent la transmission d’une culture familiale et d’une marque qui évolue sans cesse avec son temps.
« Sofa » est une série qui explore la fabrique du design, et donne la parole à celles et ceux qui font des meubles Ligne Roset des pièces intemporelles : directeurs, couturiers.ières, designers, tapissiers.ières et bien sûr ces fans qui voient la vie en Roset.
