Speaker 1 (00:00):
One of the things that they talked about on WWEE unreal.
I just did a review for the series on the
podcast today. One of the things they talked about on
there was how hard it is to keep a secret
in wrestling these days because everybody knows everything. You know,
if there's even a hint of something right, everybody knows,

(00:21):
Oh there's a talk of this, this person might come back,
this person was spotted at the airport, and all this stuff,
and it's very hard to keep a surprise. And I
don't know that very many people were necessarily surprised by
Seth Rollins not actually being hurt and cashing in his
money in the bank last night on Night one. But
one thing I can tell you is that I did

(00:41):
not hear a fucking thing about brock Lesner being back
in WWE at Summer Slim this weekend. So I will
at least, if nothing else, I will at least, you know,
if I was wearing a hat, I would tip my
cap to them that they were at least able to
keep this under wraps. But boy, now we know, don't

(01:02):
we Now we know why they have shit canned the
post show media scrubs that they had been doing for
quite some time, and why it just so happens for
Summer Slam this weekend that they're not doing that. They're
just doing their or a little post show panel that
they're doing. Now it becomes very clear why they're no
longer doing them. This main event tonight, I don't even

(01:24):
know where to begin with this, but let's start with
this main event, John Cena and Cody Rhoades for the
WWE Championship. This main event tonight was light years better
than WrestleMania, and it is very interesting that we went
from having legitimately one of the worst matches of the
entire year, especially when you take into consideration the fact

(01:47):
that it was the WrestleMania main event, one of the
worst most disappointing matches of the entire year in April,
and you take those same two people and you put
them in the ring tonight and they end up with
a match of the year Cander. I mean, you talk
about doing a one tot eighty, you talk about night
and fucking day with John Cena and Cody Rhodes, and

(02:08):
it's actually too bad. It's too bad that as great
of a match as those two guys went out there
and had tonight. All of the discourse and all of
the talk coming out of this show here is going
to be about what happened when the match was over,
and there's a lot of good and a lot of bad.
There's a lot of people who are going to be

(02:28):
excited by what happened, and there are going to be
a lot of people who are going to be repulsed
and disappointed by what happened. And that really is going
to become the conversation here coming out of this show.
I thought it was very weird the way the WWE
just seemed to retcon the John Cena heel turned on
Friday night. I was not convinced that he had actually
gone back to being a babyface. I thought that it

(02:50):
was all just a big swerve. This is like the
old Stone Cold in two thousand and one, right, he
wants everybody to believe the old John Cena is back
and then we'll get some kind of a swerve here
on this show. And in fact, it appears that is
not the case. John Cena is back to being John Cena.
He is back to being a babyface, and it's like, well,

(03:10):
why do it? Forty eight hours before the rematch at SummerSlam,
and based on what they did tonight, now we know
why he had to go back to being Babyface for
them to set up the postmatch angle on the show tonight.
I'd be very curious to know when all of this
came about, when they made the decision to turn John

(03:32):
Cena back babyface, when they did, When did this all
come together? And I'm sure these details will leak in
due time and it'll come out. There was no Travis Scott,
there was no Rock. What we had was two guys
who went out there. John Cena turned back the hands
of time. This was the best John Cena match since
he came back. It may end up being the best

(03:55):
John Cena match of this entire retirement tour. I don't
know that we're going to get a better one than
the one that we got tonight with and Cody Rhods.
The street fight stipulation was something that they needed. They
needed the smoke and mirrors because the match they had
at WrestleMania was no good. They needed to have the
access to the tables and the chairs and fighting in
the crowd, and it helped the match immensely. And these

(04:16):
two guys went out there for almost forty minutes tonight,
and they tore it up and they had a classic
main event, and when it was over, John Cena was
left all alone in the ring. Cody Rhodes gave him
the ring and they turned the music off and it
was just the fans applauding and giving John Cena his
flowers and giving John Cena a standing ovation. And had

(04:37):
they gone off the air that way, that would have
been a very appropriate ending in his final Summer Slam
for John Cena after losing the WWE Championship, which he
did tonight, and Cody Rhodes once again is the WWE Champion,
which is the way it should be. But after losing
the WWE title, for John Cena to be able to
soak up the cheers and the adulation of the crowd

(04:58):
and walk off into the sunset in his final Summer
Slam appearance, but then we hear brock Lesner's theme song,
and of course people lose their minds because nobody was
expecting it. Brock Lesner has not been visible, he has
not been seen. He's barely been mentioned maybe here and
there on WWE television for two years. The last time

(05:20):
we saw brock Lesner was two years ago on this
very show he wrestled Cody Rhoades. And if you're wondering, well,
why has it been so long since we've seen Brock Lesner, Well,
there's a very good reason for that. Unless you've been
living under a fucking rock, you probably have a pretty
good idea of why we have not seen Brock Lesner. Now,
I want to clear up some stuff here because it's
gonna be a lot of questions about, you know, what's

(05:43):
the deal with Brock and what came out about Brock
and all this. Just to sum it up real quick, okay,
In the Janelle Grant lawsuit, the sex trafficking lawsuit against
Vince McMahon. In the original suit, there was a mention
made of a talent WWE and I think it even
said like former UFC fighter. Brock's name was not mentioned,

(06:06):
but it was very clear who she was referring to
in this suit. And again, I'm not gonna I would
have the suit in front of me, and I'm just
you know, paraphrasing here basically, but the claim is that
Vince McMahon basically offered her to him for sex in
twenty twenty one when he was trying to negotiate a

(06:26):
new contract to bring Brock back to WWE. He wanted
to extend Brock's deal or sign him to a new one.
And so allegedly he basically offered her to him as
like a plaything, okay, essentially, and he also allegedly demanded
that she create sexualized content. We'll just say sexualized content. Okay,

(06:49):
let's let's leave it at that. We don't have to
get into the specifics, but to create sexualized content that
he could then share with Brock. And you know what
I'm orri if you read the suit, you know what
I referred to. Now, there was supposed to be some
sort of meeting. I think he might have even allegedly
flown Brock into Connecticut to actually meet with her. They

(07:09):
never met. Okay, so she never met Brocklesner. They never
had any sort of relationship or interaction in person or
anything like that. And these are the allegations that were
all laid out. Now. She amended her complaint earlier this year,
and the amended complaint was accepted by the court. And
so now we know that the name was in fact Brocklesner.

(07:30):
So it's not like, oh, maybe it wasn't Brock. No,
it was Brock. Okay, Brock was the one that was
being named in there. And that's it. That's all we know.
Now you can make of that what you will. People
are gonna have a lot of different opinions about this. Oh, well,
he didn't do anything wrong. What did brock Lesnar do wrong?
He never met the woman, he never had sex with
the woman. He as far as we know, he never

(07:50):
did anything with Janelle Gray. Sure, but if you are
to believe these allegations, it is obviously disgusting, and it
is obviously very troubling. And I look at it again
with a pri I I look at this and I say,
there's good reason that TKO and WWE would not want
to be associated with Brocklesner until this entire situation is

(08:13):
cleared up, right, because this case is still ongoing. It's
a civil matter, it's not a criminal matter. And again,
he's not a defendant. Brocklesner is not a name defendant
in the suit. All of that is true. But the
fact that he is roped into all of this stuff
and in the matter that he is obviously is pretty
fucking gross. That's why we have not seen or heard

(08:33):
from Brocklesner in two years. Do you honestly believe were
it not for the Janelle Grant stuff, that it would
be two years before WWE broke the emergency glass to
bring back brock Lesner. He would have been back a
long time ago. Now. I don't know what went into
the thought process here to bring him back now, but
I do know that him and John Cena have a

(08:55):
long history together. This is John Cena's retirement year. He's
done at the end of this year. I don't know
if this was something that WWE went to Brock. I
don't know if Brock reached out to WWE. I don't
know if John Cena floated the idea of, hey, let
me work with Brock. I don't think that happened. John
Cena is on record as saying that he hasn't lobby

(09:17):
for anything. He's never lobbied for an opponent or for
a match in his entire career. He basically shows up
to work and does what he's told. So again, I
would love to know the why now aspect of this
story because there's going to be a lot of people.
This is going to be a very controversial thing, and
if you're someone who was going to just kind of

(09:37):
poop poo it and say, oh, these people are just
being soft and these people have He's not an like.
You have to understand the situation. It's a very disgusting situation. Right.
There are other people also who were either kind of
named or alluded to in the suit. I think Michael
Hayes was one of them, I believe in the complaint
who also there was Content Cuoreo sexualized content career for him,

(10:00):
and he's all over this fucking WWE unreal show. Okay,
this is a company that is going to have to
address these issues at some point because WWE is a
name defendant in that suit. It's not just Vince McMahon.
It's Vince McMahon and WWE. And there are people who
work for or have worked for WWE who are also
roped into that whole thing. They have made the choice that,

(10:24):
you know what, it's just allegations. We want to work
with Brock, we want to be in the Brock Lesnar business.
And there's more in it for us to bring him
back than to not do business with him at all. Right,
It's not like they were in jeopardy of losing Brock
to aw or somebody else. Brock's been sitting on his
fucking ranch. He's been milking cows, He's been slaughtering animals
and doing whatever he does, twiddling his thumbs. He's got

(10:45):
more money than he'll ever be able to spend in
his entire life. But they made the decision that, you
know what, before John Cena is done, we want one
more match between Brock Lesner and John Cena. Their history
goes back many, many years. Their history goes all the
way back to two thousand and three. That was the
first time they wrestled in a pay per view match
in WWE, and it was very eerie the way they

(11:07):
did his return tonight, because Brock comes out as a surprise.
And I was there in Miami the night that brock
Lesner came back to WWE in twenty twelve. It was
the raw after WrestleMania Okay, that first Rock Sena match,
and at the very end of the show, Brock came
out and he circled the ring like a shark, just

(11:27):
like he did tonight. John Cena standing in the middle
of the ring, shocked brock Lesner slowly walking around the ring,
slowly getting into the ring. He gets into the ring
and tonight, as he did in twenty twelve, he picks
up John Cena and delivers in F five one F five,
He leaves him laying in the ring. They hit his
music and he leaves, and that is how Summer Slam

(11:49):
went off the air tonight, leading one to believe that
we are about to get one last match, possibly in
Paris at the end of this month, between brock Lesner
and John Cena. I don't know too many people who
have been clamoring for the return of brock Lesner. If
Brocklesner's last WWE appearance was putting over Cody Rhodes, who

(12:10):
was the heir apparent, right, Cody was on his way
to beating Roman Reigns at WrestleMania last year. If the
last brock Lesnar appearance was him putting over Cody Roads
at Summersalem two years ago, that would have been a
fine way for him to ride off into the sunset.
He's done everything there is to do. He's won every championship,
He's wrestled all the top names. Right, A lot of

(12:30):
his matches don't go very long. But if that was
his last appearance, okay, great, Right At least they got
something out of it. Now he's back. Is he back
full time? Is he back just to wrestle with John Cena?
Are we going to see him on television, you know,
on a regular basis? Are we going to see him
you know, once every three months. We don't know a

(12:51):
lot of questions about this, but there will be a
lot of discussion about this, and a lot of people
very upset about WWE bringing him back and doing business
with brock Lesner, And I just think it's important for
people to understand why. And I don't fault those people
for feeling that way. They have every right to feel
that way. There's a lot of very icky, very disgusting

(13:13):
aspects to this story. And WWE can cancel all their
press scrums and they can go hide under a fucking
rock if that's what they want to do. These are
questions that are going to have to be answered at
some point. Triple H is going to be out there
doing interviews. He's going to be asked about this, and
I would hope, okay, for his sake and for WWE's sake,

(13:35):
that he is smart enough to huddle together with their
team and come up with a real good answer. Because
the questions are going to come. And I just think
back to when he was first answering questions about the
Vince McMahon stuff, and how fucking awful, how fucking awful
he was at answering questions about this, And I understand
it puts him in a very difficult spot when people

(13:56):
ask him about Vince, because he's got that, you know,
personal relationship with him and he's his father in law
and blah blah blah. I get that, but his answers
when he would address this, even recently, I think he
gave an answer just the other day, and I'm just
I'm floored by how awful some of these answers are.
So for his sake and for their sake, I hope
they're prepared for these questions because these questions are going

(14:19):
to come. But they obviously feel like being in the
Brock Lesnar business is worth it for ww A. The
fans certainly cheered for him. They were happy as shit
see brock Lesner back on TV tonight. There is certain
value that Brock brings to the product. Brock brings a
certain authenticity that a lot of people do not have.
And it's been two years, right, so we haven't seen

(14:41):
him in a long time. If he's around, if he's
gonna stick around for a while, there's a lot of
people beyond John Cena that we have never seen brock
Lesnar work with before that he could step into the
ring with, you know, brock Lesner getting into the ring
with a fucking bron Breaker or a Jacob Fatu or
people like that, right and start fantasy booking all kinds
of matches for Brocklesner. But right now it's about Brocklesner

(15:03):
and John Cena, and when that match takes place, I
don't necessarily think he's going to be seen as retirement
opponent in December. I think they're going to have to
do something, you know, obviously a little before that, you know.
But it is interesting to note Fightful had a report
about John Cena's schedule, just so people are aware of this.

(15:24):
He's got nine dates left in his career coming out
of the Summer Slam show. That's it. He's got nine
dates left. Three more SmackDown appearances this month. Remember they
have those overseas shows, so there's gonna be some early
I don't know about raws, but at least smackdowns. There's
gonna be some early shows again, just like there were
back in March, because they got an international tour coming

(15:46):
up in the next few weeks. So he's going to
be in Montreal, He's going to be in Dublin, Ireland,
and Scene is going to be in Leon, France. At
this moment, unless he adds more, he only has I
believe three is a three, three, four, four more US
dates to his career. He's got four more dates in
this country before he wraps it up and says I'm

(16:10):
done again. He could always add more, but at this moment,
that's all he has left, and I think three more
PLS clash in Paris Perth. They're gonna be in Perth
for Crown Jewel in October, possibly Survivor series rights, and
that's it. So it's not a lot left for John

(16:30):
Cena to do one of those matches. At least one
is going to be with Brock. I remember when they
had that match in twenty twelve at Extreme Rules. I
love that match. It was so unique and different than
anything else that you were seeing on WWE television at
the time. It felt like a real battle. It felt

(16:52):
like a real fight between those two and there was
blood at a time when you really weren't seeing blood
in WWE. So that match they had at extreme rules.
I don't know what John Cena is going to go
out there in twenty twenty five and do with Brocklesner.
I don't know what that match looks like. That match
does not look like the match we saw tonight. I
can tell you that Brocklesner and John Cena are not

(17:14):
going to go out there and have a thirty seven
minute match the way that he did tonight with Cody Rubbs.
So for old times sake, okay, sure, you know there's
people who will get nostalgic about seeing Brocklesner and John
Cena back in the ring. But again, I don't know
quality wise what that match is going to look like,

(17:35):
you know, when that time comes. But the idea that
they they retcon the heel turn, to me is an
admission that they realize they really fucked up with this
heel turn, and I think that also needs to get
some attention as well. They effectively wasted months, like a
good four to five months of John Cena's final year

(17:58):
with an idea that was a last minute idea they
came up with, and they were practically tripping over each
other and who would take credit for it? On that
unreal show? Who came up with the idea for the
John Cena heel turn? And they did it at WrestleMania,
and there was a lot or elimination chamber and there
was a lot of excitement for it. I was one
of those people. I was like, man, this could be

(18:18):
something really special, and unfortunately that turned out not to
be the case. Here we are now in August. At
least they had enough sense to say this isn't working.
We want to go in a different direction with this.
But time will not be kind to WWE when it
comes to looking back on this final year for John
Cena and the decision to turn him heel and not

(18:40):
have any real follow up plan for it. I just
think that's awful for one of the biggest stars in
the history of your company and for all that he
has given this company. He went along with it, I mean,
he was obviously excited to try it, but the fact
that they really just had no real grand plan for it.
Of all people, you would think that he like knowing

(19:00):
that you got him for one final year, they would
have a really good plan for it, and they didn't,
I think is shameful, but thankfully it's over now because
it just for me anyway, it was not connecting, it
was not working, so better to leave it in the
past and not drag this out any longer. And so
now we go on from here. That main event tonight

(19:22):
was tremendous. It was also a very heel heavy night
in terms of finishes, Like we were more than halfway
through this show, and I'm sitting here going, what the
fuck is with these finishes tonight? My god? I mean, look,
we had Naomi defending the Women's World Championship, right. I

(19:44):
had no expectation that Naomi, so it was her first
title defense, Like, I had no expectation she was actually
losing the championship, right, So you knew coming in that
Naomi was going to retain, and she did, and we
had an unbelievable amount of just insanity in the tables, ladders,
and chairs match. I don't know what the wyats are
supposed to be. Would they count as heels, would they

(20:06):
count as baby faces? I guess they're kind of baby faces,
but I don't even know what they're supposed to be.
And so they retain their championships. In the TLC match,
we have Becky Lynch and Lyra of Valkyria Women's Intercontinental Title.
This seam poised for Lyra to get that big win
back over Becky and win that championship back because she
cannot challenge for it ever again, so long as Becky

(20:27):
is champion. And what happens, Becky Lynch retains still the
Intercontinental Champion, Solo Sokoa still the United States Champion. One
of the most boring cage matches that I have seen
in years. Jacob's in there, Jacob's doing what he can,
but I mean, my god, I'm talking just about like

(20:48):
the performances of the talent in the match. I'm talking
about just the match itself, the booking, and here comes
the MFTs. Who gives a flying fuck? I hated that match.
Then you had the Intercontinental Championship on the line. AJ
Styles and Dominique Mysterio with a kind of a clever
spot there near the finish with the boot which we'll

(21:09):
get into. Dom retains another heel win, So Dom wins,
Becky wins, Solo wins, Naomi wins, and it all made
way for this great main event. But like you look
at this show, and like it was so heel heavy
and so many deflating finishes. I'm like, who booked this?
Who thought this was a good idea? Up and down

(21:31):
the car tonight with this shit? I didn't understand that.
But I think that Night too is a lot like
Night one. If you remember when I came on here
last night, I said, man, going into the main event,
Night one, to me on the whole was a C
plus maybe a B minus, and then the main event
stuff bumped it up to a bee. I feel the

(21:51):
exact same way sitting here now that I did twenty
four hours ago. This show to me was a C
plus maybe a B minus going into the event. That
main event was excellent, and then they had the big shock,
you know, return there, the big shock angle at the end.
But when it was all said and done, I looked
at the show and said, you know what, this feels
like a bee. I really wouldn't go higher than that.

(22:14):
I mean, it's virtually identical between the two nights. But
I look at this and I go, did this show
really need to be two nights? Could we have shaved
some stuff off and just kind of condensed it into one? Probably,
but the two night format is not going anywhere. They're
doing two nights again next year, and I promise you
it will be two nights again the year after that,
and the year after that and the year after that, because,

(22:37):
as they said, they had over one hundred and thirteen
thousand people that they put in met Life Stadium between
these two nights. They're not giving up that kind of business.
They're not going to suddenly go back to one night
and run a show in front of fifty thousand people
when they can double or more than double that number
and make even more money off of that. So the

(22:58):
two night format is not going anyway where. We're gonna
go through this entire show. We'll talk about the big
return at the end and everything in between. This is
your Summer Slam twenty twenty five review Night number two.
It is Sunday, August third, twenty twenty five. I am
the Solemn Monster. Hit that subscribe button if you are
new here. I know some of you are hit that

(23:19):
like button as well. We're looking for minimum four hundred
actually you know what fuck that. We're looking for minimum
five hundred likes on this video. We have a little
segment at the end called be the Booker that we
will do if we hit that goal. We have another
goal going with the superchats in the chat, so if
we hit that one, we'll do double. Be the booker,
I'll double it. But yeah, superchats are open. You will
see them popping up as we go along here. Let

(23:42):
us get into this. There is much to get into.
Triple H was already at ringside and he was introduced
into the ring to kick things off, and he welcomed
everyone to the biggest Summer Slam in history. No Cardi
b Apparently she was only the host for one night.
She was not seen at all tonight. And then they

(24:04):
opened with the match that coming into this show I
was looking forward to the most which was the triple
threat match for the Women's World Championship. It was Naomi
defending against Ria Ripley an EO Sky. The triple threat
match of WrestleMania, which had Ria, EO and Bianca is
one of my favorite matches of the entire year. That
match was fucking awesome. The match with Ria in EO

(24:28):
at Evolution was fucking awesome. Just having Ria in EO
back in the ring, I said, I'm sold. And Naomi
has had a nice run for herself as a heel
this year first title defense. Okay, let you drop her
in the mix and see what happens here. So I
was looking forward to this match a lot. Naomi was

(24:48):
played to the rain. Oh wait. She was played to
the ring by the Learning Trip always seven hundred. Fuck that.
I didn't realize. Okay, you know what. We're gonna up
that goal. We're gonna have that goal to a minimum
one thousand likes for Be the booker. We need at

(25:08):
least one thousand likes for Be the Booker. I didn't know.
I didn't realize we're already over seven hundred. Naomi was
played to the ring by her father. I had no
idea that her father was a guitarist in a band. His
name is Sean McCrae. He was out there on stage.
She came out. She was kind of jamming with him
there for a little bit, nice little father daughter moment.

(25:31):
So Naomi exited the ring as soon as the bell rang.
She went to the floor and Rhea is looking outside,
EO's looking outside. They've got their eyes locked on her. Right.
Riea goes outside and blocks her from going this way.
Naomi tries to go the other way, and now EO
was out there and EO is blocking her path. So

(25:53):
they get her in the ring and they took turns
punching her. Naomi did take control. She hit a top
ro blockbuster on Rhea for a two count. Eo got
back into the ring. Naomi cleared her very quickly with
a boot to the face. Ripley came back got the
better of Naomi, who got blasted by a springboard dropkick
by EO. Ripley started applodding and she joined in on

(26:16):
EO's little bit where she pointed herself Ripley and EO.
They went at it. She got EO in an electric
chair position, dropped her face first on the mat. Ripley
set up for riptide, but EO countered into a pin
for a two count. EO caught Ria with a poison
RNA and then EO covered Naomi, though returned to break
up the pin. So there was a springboard moon salt

(26:38):
on the outside by EO that wiped out both women.
Back inside, she doled out the bullet train knees in
the corner, Meteora to Rha in one corner, Meteora to
Naomi in the other. EO went to the ropes to
set up for something. I don't know what it was,
but Rhea cut her off. Naomi attacked Rhea from behind

(27:00):
and hit her split legged moonsalt. She had Ria covered,
but Eo came flying off the top with her Genius
of the Sky moon Salt to break it up, but
Naomi moved and so she landed on Riha instead. Naomi
took out Eo with a running knee strike knocked her
right out of the ring. Ripley, though caught Naomi with
riptide she had the title one. EO jumped back into

(27:22):
the ring just in time to break up the cut.
I mean just in time to break up the cover.
So it was back to Ria and EO all alone
in the ring. Eo dump Ria to the apron and
then came charging in. Ripley booted her out or booted
her down to the mat I should say so. Ria
took out Naomi on the floor with a cannonball right

(27:43):
wipes out the champion. She climbs back up on the apron. Eo,
though dove through the ropes, grabbed a hold of Rhea
on the way down as she was going for a
sunset bomb. Rhea held on but then she let go
and then EO power bomb Rhea on top of Naomi
who was laying on the ground. Ria and Eo they
ended up back inside and on the ropes. Ria got

(28:04):
Eo in position for an avalanche riptide from the middle rope.
She dropped her and again she had the title one.
This was her match to lose, just like an evolution, right,
she got that visual pin right, there was no referee.
Naomi at that moment. Jump back into the rings. She
schoolboyed Rhea while holding on to Ria's gear, her belt,

(28:26):
whatever it was for added leverage, and she pinned Rhea
ripley to retain the title. When this was over, my
first thought was, well, it was not WrestleMania, and it
was hard to not yet you don't want to compare,
but you know, again, it's hard not to. Two of
the three women in this match were in the triple

(28:46):
Threat match at WrestleMania, and here we are yet another
triple threat match for the women's world title. So it's
hard not to have, you know, certain expectations coming into this.
This was not WrestleMania. It was still a fun match.
It could not recapture the magic that those three women
had back in April. That's not what this was, or

(29:09):
even the greatness of the match between Riha and Eo
at Evolution. This was not as good as that match either.
You know, if I had to rate it, I would
go as solid three and a half out of five
for this match here, unlike it WrestleMania, you know, because Bianca.
This was not the case with Bianca with Naomi, because
she was the lone heel in this match. What she

(29:31):
was trying to do was actively trying to avoid these
two women wherever she could, and she would sneak in
at the most you know, opportune moment. So the psychology
here was a little bit different. And also the fact
that Rhea Ripley had this match one more than once
and yet again had the championship potentially taken away from her,

(29:52):
and that was the story they were trying to get
over on commentary as well. So now we know that
Naomi is defending that title against Stephanie vicer a clash
in Paris at the end of this month. No surprise there.
I mean again, we had to know this, Like nobody
reasonably would have expected Naomi to lose the championship in
her first defense. Why would she so I mean that

(30:15):
she's going on to wrestle Stephanie is not really much
of a surprise. What I'm wondering is what is the
next direction here for Ria Ripley. Now they have that
show coming up in October in Perth. You would think
that Rhea is going to be going for the championship
in Perth. Why wouldn't she? Well, Perth is still two

(30:36):
months away, so you know, what does she do in
the meantime and how do they get there? Are they
doing the same thing they did at the last Crown
Jewel in Saudi when they did Champion against Champion, Because
if they do that, Ria wouldn't be getting a title
match on that show. The Raw after the Crown Jewel
show is also in Perth, right, the Perth show is

(30:57):
on October eleventh. They have Raw in Perth, Australia on
October thirteenth. Maybe Riho Ripley gets a championship match on
Raw and not at Crown Jewels, so that has to
be the destination for her. What she does in the meantime,
I don't know. I'm a little more worried about Eo Sky.
Rhea Ripley is going to be just fine. Like Rhea

(31:17):
Ripley will always be in the mix because Rhea Ripley
is one of the most popular stars they have on
that roster. I'm worried that Eo Sky is going to
sort of fall between the cracks and just end up
in the mid card somewhere, not doing anything particularly special.
I hope that doesn't happen, or at least not for
very long. If that means that they want to move

(31:38):
her and shift her over to SmackDown, I'm all for that.
She is one of the best they have in the
entire company. I don't want to see her fall through
the cracks. I don't want to see her have to
go to the back of the line. So I really hope,
even more than Rhea, Eo is the one who I
really hope you know they have a solid plan for
coming out of this, because I mean, just be a

(32:00):
fucking waste if they didn't. That they showed Tyrese Haliburton
in the crowd and the Indiana Pacers and they mentioned
that he had just had surgery for its foreign achilles tendon.
I do remember that injury. I think we all do.
If you were watching the NBA Finals, Nick Hogan and

(32:22):
his wife were also back again as they were last night.
For Night one, they showed Michelle McCool and her daughter,
her and Undertaker's daughter in the crowd, and in celebration
of this being twenty five years since the very first
TLC match at SummerSlam, they cut to the Dudley Boys

(32:45):
in the crowd, Bubba Ray and Devon, and then in
a different part of the crowd they cut to the
Hardy Boys and they plugged the fact that they were
about to have one more match together at the TNA
Bound for Glory pay per view just coming up in October.
I of course looking at Bubbaret and I'm saying, wait
a minute, that's Bully Ray, the House of Glory Crown

(33:05):
Jewel Champion. I was kind of hoping he would have
the belt with him, but he didn't. I know he
had it at the he had it at Wrestle Khan.
That would have been something if he was flashing that
hog title here on the Summerslim. But no such luck.
But that led into the tables, ladders and chairs match.
Twenty five years later, we have another TLC match, and

(33:28):
this time it is double the size of the first one.
First one had three teams this one had six. It
was the Wyat six defending the tag team titles against
the Street Profits, DIY, MotorCity machine Guns, Phraxium, and the
team of Andrade and Ray Phoenix. Tables, ladders, and chairs

(33:49):
were set up all around ringside, and you had to
know coming into this match, this is going to be insanity.
You have twelve men there, okay, Like, that's a lot
of arms and legs, that's a lot of tables and
chairs and ladders laying around. There's just so much that
could go wrong. But you had to know coming in

(34:12):
that this was going to be pure insanity, and that's
exactly what it was. Now. The Wyats got the last
entrance coming out. No lights out for this because they
were outdoors and it was still light outside, and from
the opening bell, all of the other teams immediately ganged
up on Dexter Loomis and Joe Gacy. So there was
a spot early on here where the Prophets attempted to

(34:32):
backdrop Gasey onto a ladder that was leaning against the
top rope in the center of the ring, but he
missed the ladder and he rolled to the floor, and
so montes Ford went outside. He threw him back into
the ring and then he and Angelo Dawkins repeated the spot,
and this time Gasey landed on the ladder and that
got a pop from the crowd. The crowd had quite

(34:55):
the reaction when they saw Ray Phoenix jump up on
Androde's shoulders at one point and he almost I mean
he got his hands on the titles like he was
he didn't see a ladder. He was standing on this
man's shoulders and almost was able to pull down the titles,
but wasn't able to. He got close, but he wasn't
able to do it. The street profits cut him off
and Phoenix and Androde then delivered three amigos so tomaso champa.

(35:20):
He tried to throw Montes forward into a table in
the corner. Instead, Montes did his crazy flip dive over
the ring post onto the pile of bodies on the
floor outside. Johnny Gargano put Joe Gacy through a table
with a DDT off the ropes. Dexter Loomis then hit
this wild just fucking diving splash off the top rope

(35:41):
onto Montes, who was laid out on a table on
the floor outside. So he put him through the table
Phoenix did a crazy top rope frog splash over the
ring post to put Nathan Fraser through a table that
he was laid across. Then Angelo Dawkins is like, well, shit,
I don't want to be left out here, so he

(36:02):
climbs to the top rope and he's got evil intentions.
He's gonna do the same thing to Tamaso Champa. Champa
is laying on a table outside, just accepting his fate
right ready for whatever is about to come. Instead, Axiom
cuts off Angelo Dawkins on the ropes, and Axiom then

(36:23):
puts not just Angelo Dawkins but himself through that table
down below, and thankfully for Tomaso Champa, he got up
off the table just in time. So Shampa dives out
of the way and Axiom and Dawkins come flying off
with a Spanish fly and they come crashing through the table.
This was the spot of the night right here, Like

(36:45):
there's so much that could have gone wrong. And at
first I thought that maybe Axium's leg, which I think
did hit the barricade, but it like hit it in
such a way where it's like, I hope he didn't
break his leg. But they seem to be Okay, after
the spot, I'm just, dude, I'm watching this. I'm just
I'm watching this, and I'm thinking somebody's going to get killed,

(37:07):
because it was like boom, boom boom. It was these
rapid fire spots. Everybody's doing dives and the ringside areas
getting all cluttered up with bodies and debris, and you know,
at that point you start worrying about like, I just
hope nobody kills themselves. By the way, I don't know
how many people notice this. They have those stupid branded
slim gym tables. I don't know if they're all like this,

(37:30):
but some of the tables they were stacking them on
the outside of one point the street profits were they
had holes drilled into the tables, so all they had
to do was take one table and when they stack
it on the other, it actually fits into the holes.
Like they're making it very easy for these people. So

(37:52):
the first time I've ever noticed that that they're actually
drilling holes now into these tables so that you can
very gently fit another table into the slim on the
first one. So Candace lay runs out, of course, she's
with Diy and she tries to climb the ladder, but
so too does Beefab, who's with the street profits. She's like,

(38:13):
I don't think so, so she runs down. She pulls
Candace off. Bfab tries to climb, so then Nicky Cross,
who was out there with the Wyatt six. Nicky Cross
gets into the ring. She gave Beefab a back suplex
off the ladder. Candas then went back to the ladder.
She's bound and determined to climb this thing, and Johnny
Gargano was holding it steady for her. But montez Ford

(38:37):
comes over and he shoves Gargano into the ladder, which
causes Missus Gargano to go flying off the ladder and
she goes crashing through a ladder bridge outside the ring.
And it was actually a hell of a bump that
she took, and she, you know, took it like a champ.
The ladder broke. I don't know what these fucking ladders

(38:58):
are made of. It says like it painted would basically,
these are the fucking wooden ladders here that they paint silver.
But she went right through the ladder, and you know what,
this was the second craziest, right if the Spanish fly
was the craziest bump of the night. Then this was
the second craziest one. And you know what, probably not

(39:19):
even the craziest bump that Candace Lray has ever taken
in WWE, probably, but in her career, not even the
craziest bump that Candace has ever taken. So she'll she'll
be fine. So the referees went over to go check
on Candace, and Johnny is looking outside and he sees
his wife is in distress, right, he doesn't even know

(39:42):
if his wife. His wife is barely alive out there,
but he's just like looking outside to make sure. I
guess that she's moving in that she's breathing, and gives
her thumbs up before turning his attention back to the match.
He opted to continue the match without even going outside
to check on his wife. He chose the titles over

(40:04):
his own wife, Eric Rowan, who is not a legal
competitor in this match. But I mean, I guess it
doesn't matter. None of these fucking people are Candace is not.
BFAB is not. But there's no rules, right, so anybody
could get involved here. He gets into the ring and
attacks the street profits, but then they fight him off

(40:26):
with chairs. They put him through a table, that was
propped up in the corner with a shoulder tackle. Champa
climbed the ladder and grabbed the harness. They have that
harness that the titles hang for whatever it's called, that
golden piece that the title bells hang from, and say
he grabbed a hold of it. MotorCity machine Guns. Though,
they get underneath the ladder and they pull the ladder

(40:49):
away slowly. So now Shampa is hanging from the cable, right,
He's just dangling there in the air, and Nathan Fraser
climbs up on a ladder on the ladder which has
now been moved away. But he climbs up on the
ladder and he is getting ready to do a spear

(41:10):
off the ladder. He's doing the edge and Jeff Hardy
spot from WrestleMania x seven, or at least that was
his intent. Champa, though, managed to use his legs to
somehow pull himself up on the cable, so now he
was hanging upside down, and Fraser missed him and he

(41:31):
crashed and burned. And I'm just I'm looking at Tomaso
Champan now I'm afraid of heights. I'm looking at Tomaso
ch and so is Devon, by the way, I always
get a kick out of it when Devon Dudley talks
about all the TLC matches he was in and he's
still to this day like deathly afraid of heights. But
I'm watching Tomaso Champa, you know, just hanging there like that.

(41:52):
I'd probably pass out if that were me. But to
hang up there like that, upside down, like when he
got his legs up there and he's basically hanging upside
down like I would, I would shit myself. And the
problem is if I'm hanging upside down like I would
shit myself and it would come right back down on
top of me, Like I feel, it would be a
really bad situation if that would be hanging from that cable.

(42:16):
I'm just saying. So. Moments later, a few teams scrambled
up separate ladders to grab the belts. Incomes Uncle Howdy
and he knocks everybody down, and that includes pushing the
ladder over that had Diy on it. And there goes
Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Champo and they go flying out

(42:36):
of the ring and through the stacked slim gym tables outside.
So that was the end of diy. We did not
see them again. Uncle Howdy bo Dallas whatever Michael Cole
called him by both names, also not a legal competitor.
In this match, he's climbing the ladder. Nathan Fraser races
up the ladder. Uncle Howdy applies the mandible claw and

(42:59):
he lets free your fall off to his doom. Here
comes Androte. He does a sunset bomb that sends Uncle
Howdy backwards, crashing onto a ladder bridge and so that's
the end of Uncle Howdy. He rolls out to the floor. Eventually,
Dexter Loomis and Joe Gasey hit their double team finish
on Phoenix and Loomis. He kind of stood guard while

(43:21):
Joe Gacy climbed the ladder and he pulled the titles down,
and you could hear fans audibly booing and groaning. It
wasn't like the entire stadium, but enough of them that
you could you could pick up on it like they
were disappointed. They were hoping somebody else was gonna win
this match and we would have a title change. But
you know, once he actually pulled the titles down, yeah,
people gave polite applause and they cheered. So he ended

(43:45):
up getting a nice reaction. This was pure insanity. This
was pure insanity from start to finish. They work this
match like twelve men who in most cases were less
off the Wrestle Media Card this year. That's why they
had to do a TLC match on TV I think

(44:06):
the following week. I think it was right that Friday.
That's why, because they had no room for them on
the Wrestle Media card. Well, now they're on SummerSlam in
a stadium with sixty thousand people, and their only goal
now is to go out there and steal the show.
And that's what it felt like. They were out there

(44:26):
to do all these crazy dives and spots and really
try to steal the show. There's not a lot of
psychology to be found, you know, in a match like this,
especially when you have six teams. If you have two
teams or even three teams, it's a little bit easier,
but when you have that many bodies out there, again,

(44:46):
there's really not much in the way of story that
you could tell. There's not a lot of selling that
you can do. You're out there to do spots. You know,
match like this is designed to be a spot fest,
So if you're a fan of those types of matches,
the spotfest matches, the big multiperson ladder matches. Then this
is right up your alley, and as those types of

(45:08):
matches go, I thought this was this was an excellent one,
but that you kind of know going into this that
that's what you're gonna get. I'm glad they all got
a chance to be on the show. They deserved it.
The SmackDown Tag Team Division has been killing it now
for months and they were overdue for a big pl match,
Like at some point you have to put them on
a major show. So I'm glad they were able to

(45:30):
get almost every team. I mean, I think the only
two teams that were missing were Los Garza, who were
on SmackDown Friday and pretty Deadly, and I think Elton
Prince is out hurt. Everybody else was accounted for in
this match, but it was just one crazy, dangerous spot
after another. They pulled it off, hopefully with minimal bumps
and bruises and no injuries. I could just see them all.

(45:52):
I want the scene on the next season of Unreal
where they walk back through the curtain into the gorilla
position and they're just like, there's like a big dish
sitting there and it's like painkillers for everyone, and they
just go like one by one, they just they grab
a fucking fistfall as they walk back through the curtain.
I don't know how you get through a match like
this without taking something when you're done. Today's episode is

sponsored by mint Mobile. Summer kicked in again this week

Mobile for details. Thank you, by the way for all
of you hanging out with me here on a Saturday
now or a Saturday. I don't even know a fucking
day of the week it is. There's been so many shows.
That was last night, Sunday night, hanging out with me
on a Sunday night for SummerSlam. As we get into
this next match here, which was for the Women's Intercontinental Championship,

(48:43):
it was Becky Lynch defending against Lyra Valkyria. This was
no count out, no disqualification. Becky Lynch has a new
theme song. I told you guys about this earlier today
on SoundOff episode nine to twenty three. She has been
teasing it on social media. There's been talk that she

(49:05):
was getting a brand new song. It is by the
pop punk band called The Wonder Years, also a fine
television show back in the day. So she debuted her
new music tonight, and from what I could hear of it,
it sounds pretty badass. I'm waiting for the Spotify drop
so that i can listen to it, you know, in
proper form. Anything not Deaf Rebel is okay with me,

(49:28):
so it gets a thumbs up from me. Now, Becky
grabbed the kendo stick, and this was right at the
beginning of the match, and she was shocked to see
Lyra pull up with a crowbar. So Valkyrias smashed the
kendo stick out of Becky's hand and tried to kill
her with the crowbar, and Becky avoided it, and then

(49:49):
she yelled at Lyra for trying to murder her with
the crowbar. So after this, there was a funny spot
where Valkyria tried tossing Becky into the barricade and instead
shoved her into a cameraman who unsuspecting cameraman who was
not expecting this to happen, and the cameraman acted like

(50:10):
nothing happened and just walked to the other side of
the barricade. So Valkyrias set up a table, and the
crowd didn't even give a shit because we had just
seen a bunch of tables in the match prior. Now,
I'll get into this in my postmatch comments here, but
nobody really cared. So Becky grabbed her from behind by
wrapping a chain around Lyra's mouth. Becky shoved her into

(50:34):
the steel steps and then attacked her repeatedly with a
candow stick. The crowd sounded very bored by all of this.
Becky used the kendo stick like a golf club, a
little nod to her role and happy gilmore too. She
continued the beat down. She used a steel chair, she
used a toolbox. Becky then zip tied Lyra's hands together

(50:54):
and attacked her with a wrench. This all sounds so ridiculous,
like this is the antithesis of what I loved about
all of the matches that these two women had previously,
And this is what I was worried that this would
degenerate into. We have kendo sticks, we have zip ties,
we have wrenches, we have crowbars, we have all kinds

(51:16):
of bullshit here. Becky followed with some exploders suplexes. Then
she trapped Lyra hands first over the ring post and
attacked her repeatedly with the kendo sticks. So, if you're
looking for the visual here, this was taken right out
of the I Quit match at Breaking Point in two

(51:36):
thousand and nine between John Cena and Randy Jorton. And
if you've never seen the match, you may have seen
that image of seen it with his hands cuffed. I
think it was handcuffs, not zip ties over the ring post, helpless,
and Orton was just I mean blasting him with kendo
stick shots to the ribs. So that's the spot that

(51:57):
they did here, that's what they were going for here.
Great match, by the way, if you've never seen it before,
that I Quit match. Actually, if it's not the best,
one of the best John Seen and Randy Orton matches
they've ever had is that Breaking Point match. So Lyra
managed to hit a belly to belly supplex even with
her hands still tied together, so the landing did not
look very fun for Becky Lynch. Valkyria fought back with

(52:21):
a leaping drop kick off some chairs. Valkyria managed a
moon salt off the middle rope with her hands still tied.
She untied one of the turnbuckle pads. Becky, though, drove
her into the ring post. So Valkyria then disappeared underneath
the ring and when Becky went after her, Valkyria sprayed
her with a fire extinguish her. So Lyra now is

(52:43):
trying to use the fire extinguish her handle to break
the zip tie. She's trying to free herself and she's
having a bitch of a time, and the fans again
are just very bored waiting for this woman to try
to free herself. She couldn't get them off, so she
crawls underneath the ring. She disappears. I would like to
think that they have a person underneath the ring that's

(53:07):
just hanging out under there. And Lyra goes underneath and
is like, hey, I need your help, and he's like,
oh sure, and he just cuts her loose. Because when
she re emerged she was free. The zip ties were
magically off, and she attacked Becky with a kendostick until
it shattered. She dropped, kicked a chair into Becky's head,
and then hit her nightwing finish off the second step

(53:30):
of the ring steps onto the floor in the ring,
Valkyrie had tried a corner charge. Becky, though moved and
Lyra crashed into the exposed turnbuckle. Becky followed with a
man handle slam onto two chairs for a close near fall.
Becky trapped Lyra into a chair and then drove her
into the announced desk and then back into the ring post.

(53:52):
And so with Lyra still trapped in the chair was
basically wrapped around her, Becky kind of leaped off the
table and stomp the chair. So Becky was about to
kill Lyra with the crowbar. This was it, This is
going to be the kill shot. All of a sudden,
Bailey appears from out of nowhere, out of the crowd.
I guess Bailey is there. She stops her and Becky

(54:16):
is trying to reason with Bailey and tries talking her
into hitting Lyra. You know, you hit her, and Bailey
couldn't bring herself to do it, so Becky tried to
attack her with a steel chain. Bailey attacked Becky instead.
Becky avoided a charge and Bailey she came charging in
and Bailey flies over the barricade into the first row.

(54:39):
Lynch tried using a slim gym table to get back
up to her feet. She's kind of like sprawled on it,
just trying to, you know, get herself vertical again. And
this was great because they had such a tight camera
shot that you couldn't see anything but Becky and the table,
and so all of a sudden, Lyra Valkyria just comes
flying into the shot with like a leaping leg drop.

(55:02):
I guess off the apron. I assumed she didn't climb
to the top, and so she dives off the apron
and she puts Becky through the table with a flying
leg drop. It's like a jump scare in a horror movie.
So back in the ring, Becky slipped out of a
night wing attempt. Valkyriea countered out of a manhandle slam
with an arm drag. Becky is standing near the ropes.

(55:24):
Bailey is now up on the apron and she takes
a swing at Becky. Becky ducks and Bailey ends up
hitting Lyra by accident, and Becky finally hits the man
handle slam and she scores the pin to retain the
Intercontinental title, which means that Lyra Valkyria can never again

(55:45):
challenge for this championship so long as Becky Lynch has
that title. Let me just say this, these two women,
they worked hard, they did, they took some they took
some pretty stiff bumps in this match, and they work
their asses off. This just didn't work. This didn't work
for me. First of all, this match went twenty five minutes.

(56:07):
There was no reason for this match to go twenty
five minutes. They gave these women almost ten minutes longer
than Naomi, Rhea and EO got for the opening triple
threat match. That is ridiculous. I'm sorry. A Women's World
Championship triple threat gets fifteen or sixteen minutes. This one

(56:31):
gets twenty five. So that was mistake number one. The
other mistake they made here was this came right after
the TLC match. Now, it was almost unavoidable because this
was the night of gimmick matches. You had a street
fight in the main event. Had this was basically a
fucking street fight, no DQ, no count. Now, what would

(56:52):
you call it now that you've watched this match? How
is this not a street fight? They basically had two
street fights. They had a cage match, they had a
TLC match. The triple threat technically is no DQ. The
only straight singles match of the entire card tonight was
aj Styles in Dominic Mysterio. Every other match had some

(57:13):
sort of gimmick or stipulation weapons galore tonight. So I
don't know that there really was a good place on
the card for this match, But to put this right
after the TLC match, when we saw how many tables
broken in that match, how many weapons were used chairs
in that match, and then you coming, you do this

(57:34):
and it's not nearly as exciting right as the car
crash we all just saw on the previous match. So
putting this on after the TLC match that was another mistake.
But they just they did too much. They were trying
to do all these different things. And I get the
logic behind them wanting to do the zip tie stuff
with Lyra, right, they wanted her to work from underneath
and make the heroic come back and you know, put

(57:56):
sympathy on Lyra Valcarrier for being handicapped and having to
work without the use of her hands and all that.
It didn't work. It didn't work in the way that
they intended. My issue with this, the biggest one is
I loved every match that these two women had coming
into this show, going back to their NXT match two
years ago. They always have excellent matches. The match they

(58:17):
had at Money in the Bank was even better than
the one they had at Backlash. Now you put them
in the ring and you give it basically the street
fight stipulation, and it's like every other fucking extreme rules
match that we get in WWA. We got to use
kendo sticks, we got to use wrenches, we got to
use crowbars, we got to use zip ties. How can

(58:38):
we use this? How can we do that? They got
away from what makes this feud work. They got away
from the chemistry that these two women have because they're
really good wrestlers and they go out there and they've
had really good wrestling matches, and that's not what tonight
was about. Tonight was about everything but the wrestling. So
it's no surprise to me having seen this, that I

(58:58):
would rank this dead last of all the matches these
two have had. I just did not like this match
as much as I liked all their previous matches. And
that's it's too bad, because they work really well together.
But I just could not get into this. I thought
that Bailey was gonna go heal. Instead they did the
accidental spot where she hit Lyra by accident, So that

(59:21):
continues the issues now with Bailey and Lyra. I guess
that's what Lira will be doing since she can't challenge
for the championship anymore. What else is she gonna do.
She's gonna feud with Bailey now some more. I'm surprised
Becky won, though, I really thought this was gonna be
the payoff where Lyra gets that win back, wins the
championship back, and maybe maybe they even move Becky. I

(59:44):
really I still feel that way. I still feel SmackDown
can really use Becky Lynch. Maybe they move somebody else,
Maybe they move Rhea, maybe they move Eo. You know,
maybe they call up a Jordan Grace to smack Down,
because SmackDown really could use someone right now, someone more
in that division. But yeah, I just I wish I

(01:00:07):
could tell you that, man, this was as great as
there were other matches, But I'd be a fucking liar.
This went way too long and it was in the
exact wrong spot on this show. They did these women
no favors, and then from this, to prove my point,
we went into a fucking cage match immediately after this.
First though they showed Jelly Roll in the crowd, they

(01:00:31):
showed Metro Boomen, who was wearing over his shoulder an
old school WCW United States Championship replica. My man, I
always liked that title. I liked that title a lot.
And they showed Giants quarterback Russell Wilson with his kid

(01:00:51):
in the crowd, and then it was time the steel
cage match. This was the fifth cage match in Summer
Sligh history, and if you can believe it, the first
steel cage match in twenty four years. That's how far
back you'd have to go for just a traditional steel
cage match. Tonight it was Solo Soka defending the United

(01:01:12):
States Championship against Jacob Fatu, and I was thinking, you know,
they mentioned that this is the fifth one, and the
four previous cage matches Ultimate Warrior and Rick Rude nineteen
ninety Brett Hart and Owen Hart nineteen ninety four, Triple

(01:01:33):
H and Mankind nineteen ninety seven, and the last one
was two thousand and one Undertaker and Kin destroying DDP
and Canyon. That was the last time we had a
cage match on this show, not not helen a cell
or elimination chamber or anything like that. So you can
win this match by pinfall, submission, or escaping the cage.

(01:01:55):
Michael Cole tried to put over Solo Socoa tried being
the keyword here. He mentioned that Solo Socoa has not
been pinned since losing to Roman Reigns on the Netflix debut. Right,
that was the Was it tribal combat? I know it
was for the ula fall. I don't remember if it
was tribal combat. So he hasn't lost, or at least

(01:02:18):
not a singles match since then. And I checked on
this Solo Socoa has had something like three or four
wins in fifteen matches so far this year. So no
matter how hard they have, Michael Cole try on commentary,
you will never be able to convince me that Solo
Socoa is any kind of threat to be taken seriously

(01:02:39):
on this show. I don't give a shit how hard
you try. Look, I find him very entertain He's a
funny guy. He can be entertaining. But you will not
convince me that Solo Socoa is any kind of real
threat to Jacob Fatu or most anybody else on this show.
Solo used the cage as a weapon or early. Fatu

(01:03:02):
fought back, and when Solo tried driving him into the
cage again, Fatu no sold it. Jacob hit a running
hip attack and consecutive moon salts only got a near
fall out of it, and it didn't take long for
the MFTs to make their way out. There really is
nothing else to describe that these two did in this

(01:03:23):
match that was of any real note. Before Solo's crew
meandered their way down to the ring, we had j. C. Matteo,
we had the great Tonga Loa, and we had Tallatanga.
They make their way out and they're surrounding the ring.
Now we hear Jimmy USO's music and they're bracing for

(01:03:43):
his entrance. But he appears at ringside. He goes on
the attack until Talatanga drives him into the cage and
then tosses him over the announced desk. Now Fa Tu
had the chance here to escape the cage. He could
have won the United States Championship. He had the opportunity
to do so. He tells the referee to close the

(01:04:06):
door because it was all gas time. All he did
here was prove that Solo Socoa was correct when he
said all gas, no brains. He just proved him right,
often not to win the match. FA two turned around
and Solo hit him with a Samoan spike for a
near fall. So they followed the zip ties in the

(01:04:31):
previous match with handcuffs in this match, I was just like,
what are we gonna have in the match after this?
Perhaps we'll have some rope, maybe we'll have some duct tape,
what else? What else can we tie up people with?
So they they introduce handcuffs into the match. Tallatanga handcuffs

(01:04:52):
Jacob fought to to the top part of the cage.
Jac Matteo opened the door and it looks like Solo
Soco is going to crawl out of the cave. Fatu
manages to break free from the handcuffs. They showed a
replay of it. I don't even I still don't even
know what he did. He just basically went like this,
that was it, the shittiest handcuffs ever made. And he

(01:05:12):
jumps down and he stops Solo from escaping the cage.
So Fatu smashes the door into j. C. Matteo, but
Tallatanga smashes the door into Fatu's head and Solo Socoa
then slips out the door and he very casually falls
to the ground and wins. That's how he wins the

(01:05:32):
cage match. Wasn't that? Basically the outcome of the cage
match between Punk and Rollins and Madison Square Garden. A
few months ago, Roman Reins came out right, he came
back and he pulled Rollins out to the floor, Like,
what is what these cage match finishes? I mean, at
least there you have the return of Roman Reigns and

(01:05:53):
people went nuts for it. This this was I mean,
this was fucking awful. So he pulls him to the
floor and he retains the US Championship. After the match
is over, and after Solo and Tallatanga made their way
up the ramp, Jimmy super Kick j C. Matteo and
he threw him inside the cage with Fatu and Tongalo
and Fatu looks up and I told you this was

(01:06:15):
coming right. And when I did the preview and predictions,
I said, you know that Jacob Fatu is going to
go to the top of the cage. This was the
entire reason for doing this. He's going to go to
the top of the cage and he's going to do
his mighty moon salt. The match is over, but he
looks up and sure enough, he scales the cage and
he hits a moon salt off the top of the

(01:06:37):
cage onto both men and to be more accurate. Poor Tongaloa.
Tongaloa took like ninety five percent of this. He got
destroyed on the landing and he looked like he was
out of it as he was laying on the mat. Yeah,
I hated this. I hated this. It doesn't get any

(01:06:58):
lazier than the finish they gave you here, the way
they did it and everything and all the interference. Literally
the only reason, the only reason that they broke out
the cage for this was so that Jacob could do
the spot off the top. And it wasn't even during
the match, it was when the match was over, you
had the MFTs, you had all the interference, Like there's

(01:07:21):
there was literally no other point to this stupid match.
Like I'm just I'm so over it with all the
interference and bullshit in these in these cage matches and
as cage matches go. My other issue with this, it
was just a boring, terrible match. Jacob. I love Jacob,
Jacob is great. Jacob did what he could. The way

(01:07:42):
this match was laid out and what they did here
and with all the interference, it just made for an
awful match. The the mft's are such a laughably bad
faction that if it wasn't so boring, it might be funny,
but it's really no laughing matter. Like it's bad, it's

(01:08:06):
really bad. I don't really have anything else to say
about this. I think all of this is just so
played out, and I hope that sooner rather than later,
Jacob can be moved into something completely different and not
related to the bloodline. Like, I'm just over all of
these people, whether it's Jimmy or Solo or Jacob, and

(01:08:30):
it all kind of revolves around the bloodline. It all
revolves around the family. Right. They've milked that cow so
much over the last five years. There's a whole universe
out there, right, there's a whole WWE universe that these
guys could kind of branch out in. And Jacob in particular,
I await the day that he can move on to

(01:08:52):
something else. It's not that he's doing anything to help
lift this up. It's that him being involved in this.
The longer this goes dragging him down. I hope that
changes very soon. Whether he doesn't have to win the
US title, you know what, let's Solo have it. There's
bigger things in Jacob's future than the US title. We

(01:09:13):
got Aj Styles one on one with Dominic Mysterio for
the Intercontinental Championship. The announcers noted that it's been twenty
years since the custody of Dominic ladder match at SummerSlam
between Eddie Guerrero and Raymistereo. So Dom came out first
and then it was AJ's turn. Aj Styles comes out

(01:09:34):
in a lowrider and his son, one of his sons,
is riding Shotgun in the seat next to him. Aj
comes out. He's wearing old Eddie Garrero Latino Heat inspired gear.
I think they may have mentioned that it might have
been the same style gear he wore at SummerSlam twenty
years ago, but it was definitely gear in, you know,

(01:09:55):
the kind of the vein of what Eddie would wear
back in the day. Don was in control until Aj
hit a tornado. DDT. Styles held control until Dom ducked
a phenomenal forearm hit a Mitchiinoku driver. Stiles countered the
last supplex of the three amigos from Dom into the brainbuster.

(01:10:15):
Stiles went for a frog splash. Dom got the knees up.
Dom hit a six one nine. He went for a splash.
AJ caught him an applied to calf crusher and dom
got the rope brake. So Dominic ends up removing one
of the turnbuckle pads to distract the referee. As the
referee is fixing the pad, Dominic grabs a chair and

(01:10:37):
he's going to do the old Eddie Guerrero spot where
he smashes the mat and then he tosses the chair
to Aj and he drops to the mat and that's
what he does. But the referee was still busy fixing
the pad. Now Aj is standing there with the chair
and he's looking at the chair, and so what he
decides to do is he wraps the chair around his

(01:10:58):
own head and he acts like he was he's on
the ground and he's acting like he's dying. He's like
twitching around a little He's either like a little twitch
a little bit there. So the crowd enjoyed this. I
enjoyed this too. I had one issue with this though.
It made Aj Styles look like a geek because if

(01:11:20):
the referee turns around, which he did, the referee, if
he calls for a disqualification, Aj doesn't win the championship,
like he almost screwed himself out of the Intercontinental title.
But the referee did not call for the disqualification. The
match continued because the referee didn't know who the guilty
party was, so Styles applied to calf crusher Dom's boot,

(01:11:41):
though slipped off in the process. This was the spot
from WrestleMania twenty with Kurt Angle and Eddie Guerrero, and
when they showed replays later on, it showed that right
before this, Dom had I think unzipped or like loosened
the boot in some way on purpose, so the referee
almost got bumped, and while he was still kind of

(01:12:04):
distracted from the near bump, Dominic blasted Aj in the
head with the boot and then he followed with the
frog splash for the win to retain the championship. This
was one of the better matches of the night, and
I think it was a very clever spot. I liked
that they showed the replay of Dom loosening the boot,

(01:12:24):
so I did like that, and also it sets up
a rematch I would guess in Paris between these two
look if ever, there was a place for AJ to
win that championship. Remember the last time AJ was in
Paris last year with Cody Rhoads and Leon France and
the reaction that he got, I mean, the reactions to

(01:12:45):
that entire match. So now they're going back to France.
You got to get aj on the show. If you
were going to do a title change, it would feel
like that would be an appropriate place to do it.
So I hope they do, but I'm like, I'm looking
at this, I'm like, holy shit, with these fucking finishes,
Naomi and the opener, the Heel goes over the Wyatt six,

(01:13:07):
I don't know what the fuck they're supposed to be.
But they retain their titles up and down the line.
Becky retains, Solo retains, Dominic retains, And you talk about
a night of depressing finishes here, this was not a
This was not a very uh you know, kind of
happy happy night here. And it's one thing for the

(01:13:28):
Heels to go over. But like some of these finishes,
especially the cage match, I'm like, this is fucking the
lame as shit. I'm like, who the hell booked all
these finishes like this on this show? What is going
on here? So after this, they introduced I want to
I want to tell you exactly how they introduced her.

(01:13:48):
They introduced w W E Icon Stephanie McMahon good Lord.
So she was there to announce tonight's attendance sixty thousand,
five hundred and sixty one, which when you combine it
with the fifty three thousand plus that were supposedly there

(01:14:12):
last night for Night one, means that it is a
two night total of one hundred and thirteen thousand, seven
hundred and twenty two fans. As I said earlier, if
you were wondering two night shows, they ain't going nowhere.
In fact, it's only a matter of time before we
get two night Royal Rumbles. It's coming. You're gonna get
one rumble on one night, you're gonna get the other

(01:14:34):
rumble on the other. It won't be next year, but
I think starting in twenty twenty seven, that's exactly what
you're gonna get. And then it was main event time
with John Cena defending the WWE Championship against the King
of the Ring. Didn't work out for the Queen of

(01:14:57):
the Ring last night, but now it was the King
of the Ring Cody Rhodes, and this was a street
fight pinfall or submission only, that's the only way to
win this match. Cody entered after they played some portions
of an old Dusty Rhodes promo from WCW, and I
believe they may have spliced. People were wondering, like, oh,

(01:15:19):
did they AI Dusty? They didn't AI Dusty. I think
even Biggie said this when the show was over on
the post show. It wasn't AI. What they did was
they took different clips of Dusty promos and they kind of,
you know, pieced them together, but in particular and this
is actually one of my favorite Dusty promos. It's just

(01:15:39):
it's a tremendous promo from WCW. The view never changes.
The view never changes. Baby. There's a great segment I
want to say. It was on WCW Saturday Night. It's
like a ninety four where Dusty reunited with his son Dustin.
I think he needed him to be as either Dustin
needed him to be his tag team partner or Dusty

(01:16:01):
wanted Dustin to be his tag team partner, and he
just they're in the ring together and he's cutting this
promo and it gets very emotional and they hug and
everybody cheat. It's such a great segment. But yeah, the
view never changes, so you kind of see it. It's
written on the screens. And you hear Dusty's voice, and
then Cody rises up through this elevator platform in the

(01:16:23):
stage and he's wearing a gold version of the skull
mask that he wore at WrestleMania. So this was awesome. Like,
as far as entrances go, this was awesome. So John
Cena entered next. Now, remember what happened on Friday, right,
Sina said, I want to thank you for waking my
ass up and realizing the error of my ways. And basically,

(01:16:44):
the old John Cena is back. And so you would
think that we would get the old John Cena entrance here.
At first, the screens were all black and it had
the very basic light of white lettering that just said
John Cena. But once the song kicked in, we got
the bright cut, we got the Scena logo. Scena comes out,
he's got the belt front facing right the right way.

(01:17:07):
He's going nuts. He's talking to stew the cameraman, and
I'm still not convinced. I'm watching this, and I'm like, man,
this just feels something feels off here. I'm not convinced
that this man is back to being a babyface just yet.
But he comes down to the ring and he does
his sprint down to the ring, he doesn't do the
slow walk, and the fans are going nuts, and Cody

(01:17:31):
got a very mixed reaction, more heavily boozed than cheers
when they did the inn ring introductions. When Alicia Taylor
did the introduction for John Cena, everybody went nuts and
he just couldn't help himself but smirk when she called
him the greatest of all time. Michael Cole actually said

(01:17:51):
that Cody and John Cena were two of the final
three in the Royal Rumble, and I'm sitting here and
I'm like, uh, I don't believe that's the case. I
have no idea what he's talking about. In fact, Cody
Rhodes wasn't even in the Royal Rumble this year, so
I don't know what the fuck Michael Cole was talking about.

(01:18:13):
But they were definitely not the final two or two
of the final three in the Rumble. The final three
in the Rumble this year was Sena, Jay Usso, and
Logan Paul. I believe right, Yeah, Cody wrestled Kevin Owens.
I have no idea what Michael Cole was talking about.
So Sena hugged Cody and then the slugfest began, and

(01:18:36):
you know, coming into this match, my expectations were very
low because, as I said many times, that WrestleMania made
event this year on Night two was a huge disappointment.
And Sina went in their Backlash with Randy Orton and
they had a very good match. Sina went in there
at Night of Champions with Cmpunk and they had a
very good match with the right people. I feel like

(01:18:59):
they can bring some thing out of him, but he
and Cody and just the way the match was laid out, whatever,
it was just that mass shit the bed. As far
as WrestleMania made events go, John Cena has a ceiling
for what he is able to physically give. At this
point in his career. He just physically can't do it anymore.

(01:19:19):
That's why he's retiring. Like he has said this himself,
I cannot do this anymore. So I kept my expectations
very low for this. And what we saw here was
it wasn't just the return of the old John Cena character,
Like we got flashes in this match of the old
John Cena. So they start slugging it out, they end

(01:19:42):
up outside. Sena got sent into the Steel Steps came back.
Sena walked over to Tyrese Haliburton in the front row.
He did the you can't see me gesture, and he
grabbed one of Halliburton's crutches and he used it as
a weapon on Cody. Cody was getting noticeable loose here
because people were very happy to see, you know, baby

(01:20:04):
face John Cena back. So in the ring, Sena lifted
the ring steps over his head and he threw them
at Cody and he hit him with him. So both
men went to ringside. They came back in with chairs.
They slammed the chairs together and then both men dropped them.
Cody kicked one chair to the floor and he picked
up the other and he slammed it across seen his back.

(01:20:26):
Cody wedged the chair in the corner. Seena reversed a whip.
He sent Cody crashing into the chair. Seen it. Put
Cody down with a shoulder block, and then another one
slammed him down to the mat. Then came the five
knuckle shuffle. So we're going to old school here. So
the five knuckle shuffle connects and Seena hoists up Cody,

(01:20:49):
who slips out, clothes lines him. Cody threw some punches.
He threw a bionic elbow. People are booing this. He
connects with a Cody cutter that led to a near fall.
Then Scena came back with an attitude adjustment. Cody kicks out.
Cody came back with a moon salt off the top,
only for a near fall. Cody drops Sena on his

(01:21:10):
head at this point with a pile driver. Now we're
going back to like punk and scene to twenty thirteen. Here,
you don't get to see this very often. Hits him
with a pile driver, only got a two count out
of it. So now the referee in this match, Dan Engler,
is checking on Sena and Cody is backing off and

(01:21:31):
because he's telling him go check on him, and Cody
is looking very frustrated. So eventually he goes over to
grabs Sena to pick him up. Sina, they'll hoist him up,
and he drops him with another AA and now we
have a double down. Okay, both men are flat on
their back. Once they got back up, Cody hit a
pop up power bomb. Scena, though transitioned into an STF

(01:21:52):
and Cody dragged himself to the ropes. But there's no
rope brakes, right, what are you gonna do. You're gonna
call for the disqualification. There's no rope breaks in a
street fight. And Cody keeps crawling to the point where
Sena his throat is up against the rope and he's choking,
and so finally he releases the hold. At this point,

(01:22:12):
Cody reversed outside the ring. Cody reversed him over the
barricade into the timekeeper's area. Seena came back with a
microphone shot to the head, made a great sound. And
then John Cena hits a fucking code red on the
floor that we've seen like Dustin Rhodes, you know, turn

(01:22:34):
back the hands of time, and he's always doing moves
like that and all of his matches. Now, it's been
a while since I've seen John Cena hit a code red,
and it reminds me. You know, we went through this
phase many many years ago where John Sena was trying
to show people that hey, I know more than just
five moves of doom. Right, he would bust out this

(01:22:54):
new move that we had never seen him do before.
He was doing standing her at caranas and people were
like losing their minds. And then for a while there
he was doing a springboard cutter, right, that look I
think awful. I think that was what the move was.
But it was like, all right, you know what, at
least he's trying new things. So now here at his
retirement year, we have John Seena trying something a little

(01:23:17):
bit different and hitting a Code red on the floor
and it looked great and he had a big smile
on his face after he hit it. The amazing Red
would be proud. Today's episode is sponsored by Hymns. Now

(01:25:27):
Cody up on the English announced desk and he delivered
an attitude adjustment to him through this Spanish announced table.
And yes, the Spanish announced table did infect break. As
indestructible as these tables are, it did break. So Sena
dragged Cody back into the ring. Cody, though, ended up
getting him in position and he hit crossroads and he

(01:25:50):
nearly had him, but Sena kicked out it too. Cody
then brought him to the ropes. He attempted a superplex.
Sena those shoved him back to the mat and seen it.
Came flying off with one of his old moves. And
again I don't know that we've seen him do this
since he came back. He does the leaping leg drop,
the leaping leg slice off the top rope, so he

(01:26:12):
connects on that he goes flying through the air right
to the back of Cody's neck and then another attitude
adjustment follows. Scena covers, Cody kicks out. That's something else
I was expecting in this match. I knew we were
gonna have a lot of finisher spam and a lot
of kickouts. That's something that has peppered most of the
John Cena matches in this I mean, Pepper's a lot

(01:26:32):
of other matches in wrestling today too, but Sina more
than most, relies a lot on that. Like when him
and rock wrestled, especially their rematch of WrestleMania at MetLife.
That's all that match was. That's why I fucking hate
that match. That match degenerated into nothing but attitude adjustment
rock Bottom rock Bottom, attitude adjustment, attitude, like over and

(01:26:54):
over and over, where it's like this is like what
is this? So you do ten to see a lot
of that in the Scena matches, but it worked here.
You know again, people genuinely wanted to see Sina win
because they were happy to see him back as a babyface.
I was happy because midway through this match, I'm like, fuck,
they would have to severely fuck this finish shop for

(01:27:17):
this to not be better than their WrestleMania match. Like
midway through, I already said this is ten times the
match that they had a WrestleMania. It had already exceeded
the match they had a WRESTLEMANI Sina went under the
ring and he pulls out a slim gym table and

(01:27:37):
he slides it inside. He sets the table up, he
measures Cody for another attitude adjustment. Cody wisely pushes the
table over and then he drops Sena with the DDT.
Sina then propped up the table in one of the corners,
but they ended up outside. Cody tossed him over the barricade,
and now they're fighting deep into the crowd. Here it
met life a grenade. Uh, it's a street fight. Hey,

(01:28:06):
it's legal. Nobody said you can't do it. I was
gonna say garbage. I don't know why that auto corrected
to fucking grenade. Actually I like that idea. Better forget
forget the garbage. Can Uh. Cody tossed a grenade, yes
at John Cena. Scena caught it though and just tossed
it aside. So they fought further in the crowd. No less,

(01:28:29):
how awful is that? I mean, it's one thing to
throw a grenade at somebody, but in the middle of
the crowd here at MetLife Stadium, that would have been awful.
That would have been terrible, fucking bodies everywhere. So they
fight further into the crowd. Sena hits him with a
guardrail and then a second time hits him with the guardrail.

(01:28:50):
Scena then props the guardrail, the piece of guardrail up
against a metal barrier, and Cody ends up suplexing Sena
onto the steel. So now both met are down. Then
at this point they fight underneath the stage. Right there's
some curtains and they go underneath the stage and we

(01:29:12):
can't see them now, and they're missing for about probably
twenty seconds, right twenty thirty seconds, they just disappear. We
don't know where they are. All of a sudden, that
little elevator lift right that Cody used for his entrance,
right in the middle of the stage, you see the
outline for the door. All of a sudden it starts
to rise back up, and there's smoke coming out. And

(01:29:33):
as it's through the smoke in the fog. As it's
rising back up, you see John Cena standing there and
he's got Cody's lifeless body basically on his shoulders as
he emerges. Scena then dumps him down hard on the
ramp with an attitude adjustment. So Cody is laying there motionless,
and Scena thought about dragging him, but it's a long

(01:29:55):
way back down to the ring, so he opts not
to do that, and instead he lifts Cody back up
onto his shoulders. He walks with him back down to
the ring. Once they get back inside, though, Cody throws
Scena through the table that was propped up earlier in
the corner. Then he picks him up and he hits
another crossroads and he hooks the leg and Seena kicks out,

(01:30:18):
and everybody goes nuts for this. So Sena lowbridges Cody
out to the floor, but then Cody grabs a chair
and he blasts Sena right in the head with it
when he was over by the ropes. Cody then starts loose.
He looks over like he's desperate, right, And he looks
over and he walks over to the bottom rope and
he starts to loosen the turnbuckle beam so that metal

(01:30:44):
beam that connects from the post into the rope. He's
loosening it, loosening it, and so the bottom rope falls
off and he gets back into the ring and he
grabs a hold of that steel beam. It still has
the ring rope attached to it, and he nails Seena
in the head with it, and the fans are booing.
They're booing Cody Rhodes, and they really were making you

(01:31:05):
think that maybe they are going to turn Cody. Maybe
Cody is going to go heal tonight. So they're booing him.
Cody tells him to get up. Sena is just laying there,
but when he gets back up, Cody hits him again,
and again the fans boo. So Cody is begging the referees,
begging Dan Engler just check on him, you know, go

(01:31:26):
check on them. Maybe he's done. Go go check on
this guy, right like he's having pity on him. So
when Sena gets up, Cody goes for a third shot
with the beam. Sena, though, got to drop toe hold
and he used the bottom rope to choke Sena in
an STF. So now we're kind of going back to
the Royal Rumble right in two thousand and seven, when

(01:31:48):
John Sena had the last man Standing match with Umaga. Now,
this was not exactly the same. I mean, when John
Cena was choking Umaga with the bottom rope at the
Royal Rumble, Umaga legitimately passed out at the end of
that match. Sena did not realize the force with which
he was pulling back on that rope and he couldn't breathe,
and he passed out legit because and Sena back then,

(01:32:12):
even the STFs, when he was doing the STFU, Sena
would wrench back on that hold. I think Edge had
this issue in their TLC match in two thousand and six,
where after a while they had to talk to Sena
and say, look, you're you're fucking killing these guys like
they can't breathe, Like you got to loosen it up.
And the problem is he loosened it up so much
that for the rest of his career, his STFs looked

(01:32:33):
like shit. Like even Steve Austin would call him out
for it and say, hey, tighten your shit up, kid,
but he never did. It always looked like crap. It's
like he goes from one extreme to the other. So
he wasn't really wrenching back too hard on Cody here,
but this was kind of a callback, I think, to
what you know, intentionally or otherwise. This was kind of

(01:32:54):
a callback to that spot from the rumble. Cody quickly
reversed that of it. He used the rope almost in
like an Anacon device. Seen it quickly worked back up
to his feet, hits an attitude adjustment, but no, no crossroads.
But he holds on a second crossroads. And then Cody

(01:33:15):
holds on yet again and hits a third crossroads, and
you're thinking, that's it. He just hit his finish three times.
That's how he beat Roman Reigns last year at WrestleMania
with the trifecta covers John Cena. John Cena kicks out,
and now the fans are going crazy. They can't believe it.

(01:33:36):
Cody can't believe it. The fans actually begin chanting super Sena.
This is a chant that would have been unimaginable fifteen
years ago. Okay, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen years ago. They are
chanting for Supersina. They hated Supersena back then. Now they're
chanting for it. Cody goes outside. The podium is right

(01:33:59):
there with the title sitting on it, and he grabs
the WWE championship brings it back inside with him. Cody
was not about to flint shift or what happened to
him at WrestleMania, because he flinched and he got fucked
and he lost his title. That's when Sena kicked him
in the dick and hit him in the head with
the belt. And he's not gonna let that happen again.
He's going to give John Cena a taste of his

(01:34:20):
own medicine. So he's in the ring and he has
the championship and he goes to hit Sena with it Sina,
though instead hits an attitude adjustment, and then he hits
another attitude adjustment, and then he picks up the title
like he's gonna use it, which is what he's been
doing this entire run, and he throws it down because
now he's good guy John Cena again, right, So he

(01:34:40):
throws the title down. He's not going to use it.
He places Cody on the top rope and he climbs
up and he gets Cody on his shoulders and he
delivers an avalanche attitude adjustment all the way from the
top covers him and Cody kicks out everybody who's losing

(01:35:01):
their minds. Dan by the way, Dan Engler, he was
going for those old Earl Hebner counts here. He was
taking his sweet time with these three counts. He's going
the dramatic kind of slow counts that Early used to do.
He was doing that here for the added dramatic effect.

(01:35:23):
Seena goes back outside and he pulls out another slim
Gym branded table and he puts it inside the ring
and he sets it up and again he places Cody
on top and he climbs up after him for another
avalanche attitude adjustment. This time he's going to put him
to the table with it. This time, though, Cody elbows
out of it, lands on his feet. But Cody runs

(01:35:43):
the ropes, grabs a hold of Sena, and he delivers
a Cody cutter off the top rope through the table.
He puts John Cena through the table. This I didn't
like because Sena immediately gets back up to his feet.
Not that he like, no sold it, but I feel
like he popped up from it just way too quickly.

(01:36:06):
And now he's kind of hanging on the middle rope
and again he's selling it. But it's like if you
put somebody through a table with an avalanche cutter, like
they should be laying there for a while. I just
thought he popped up too soon. But he's hanging across
the middle rope. And the reason they did this is
because in the background they kind of focus. All of

(01:36:28):
a sudden, Cody in the background does the salute, one
last John Cena salute you see in the background, and
then he hits one final crossroads and he covers him,
and finally Cody Rhodes gets the three count, he pins
John Cena, and he regains the WWE Championship. He is

(01:36:50):
now a two time champion. And the crowd did not boo.
So for all the booing that Cody Rhod's got in
this match, when the match was over, they cheered Cody.
It's not like he got booted out of the building.
It's like Rock and Hogan at Wrestle Media eighteen right.
For the most part, Rock was booed, but pretty much
the entire match when Rock won, you could hear some

(01:37:12):
boozs mixed in, but all of a sudden, he got
a lot of cheers too. It's not like he got
boot out of the SkyDome. It's like, okay, all right,
you know, begrudgingly. We respect the guy, you know that.
That was a great match, So that was kind of
the reaction here. And with the title sitting in the
middle of the ring. After the match, Sena goes and
picks it up and he hands it to Cody. It's like,

(01:37:35):
what's he gonna do, right, you know, A whack him
with it. I didn't think he would, but you never know.
I was just I have PTSD from WrestleMania, Like, I'm
watching this and in the back of my mind, it's
like the voices in my head. All I hear is Fien, Fien, Fien,
and I'm waiting. I'm just waiting. I'm just waiting. Thank god,

(01:37:58):
there was no fiend and he hands the belt over
to Cody Rhodes and he grabs Cody and he whispers
something in his ear. For a good like twenty seconds,
he's talking his ear off and we couldn't hear what
he said. And then he raised Cody's arm and they
shot off a shitload of pyro in the background for

(01:38:21):
a good fifteen twenty seconds, and the two men embraced again.
Cody left the ring to Sina. He's like, I'm gonna
leave the ring to this guy here, and they cut
off Cody's music, so it was just the crowd noise,
and the fans gave Sena a standing ovation. They started
chanting thank you, Sena, and he got quiet, and I'm thinking, Okay,

(01:38:48):
this is not how it's going to end. I would
have been perfectly content with this being the end of
the show and no music. Have the camera follow Scena
back up the ramp and he just soaks up the cheers.
It does one final salute. This is his last Summer Slim.
Like John, Cena has had some classic matches at this show.
He's had great matches at Summerslim against Seth Rollins and

(01:39:10):
against CM Punk and against brock Lesnar and against aj Styles,
and so the fact that this is his last one
and now he's back to being a babyface, I feel
like that would have been a suitable ending. Yeah, you
wouldn't have had the big shock finish that they loved
to go for, but I would have been okay with that.
As great as this match was, if that's where the

(01:39:30):
show would have ended, just kind of following Sena up
the aisle, I would have been okay with it. But
it got real quiet, and I'm like something's about to
go down, like the rock is coming out or something.
And it was not the music that I was expecting,
but we hear Brocklesner's music. Not the first time that
brock Lesner has made a dramatic return at SummerSlam. Right

(01:39:53):
three years ago, after John Cena lost to Roman Reigns,
same exact thing happened, and just like they went nuts
back then, they went nuts for this as well. Michael
Cole is just going over the top on commentary. He's like,
holy shit, it's the Beast. It's the Beast. And Brock
walks out and he's the bearded man, right, He's got

(01:40:16):
the beard. He's wearing a black cowboy hat, he's got
a black leather vest on or leather vest, black T shirt, jeans,
and he begins to walk to the ring and scene
is in the ring and he has this stunned look
on his face, and it just brought me back to
that night. When Brock came back to the company in
twenty twelve, it was the exact same thing. Scene is

(01:40:36):
in the ring. I think he was waiting for the rock.
I think he was waiting for the rock to come out,
because this was the night after they had their first
match and Rock beat him, and when they hit Brock's music,
it was this big shock and he circled the Ring's
exactly what Brock did here. He took his time, he
circled the ring. Seena followed him. He's watching him the

(01:40:57):
entire time. And Lesner removes his vest, he removes his hat.
He gets into the ring, He ducks a clothesline attempt
by John Cena gets him up on his shoulders and
he puts him down with an F five and that's it.
They played his music. Brock left the ring. He put

(01:41:18):
his hat back on, he threw his vest over his shoulder,
and he headed to the stage and Lesner looked back
at the ring. He smiled before heading to the back
Sena for a while. This was when the I think
the show ended, and then they went into the post show.
They kept the cameras rolling and Sena is just sitting
on the apron. His music starts to play, and he

(01:41:40):
looks into the camera and he goes like this, goes non,
turn the music off. I just want to hear this.
I want to hear the fans. So they turned his
music off. The fans are cheering for him as he
walks up the ramp final time at SummerSlam, and he
gets to the stage and he salutes the fans he
teased going backstage, but then he turns around again and

(01:42:02):
he looks at the crowd one last time and emotioned
that he was taking a mental picture, and then he
made his exit. This match, this match saved the show
for me. I'm not saying that every match on the
show sucked. That's not true. But if we would have
had like a SOSO main event or a main event

(01:42:24):
that was comparable to what these two gave us in April,
like this show, it would have been an awful way
for SummerSlam to go off the air. As it was
to me, this match saved the entire show. This match
was awesome. This was the match that you would want,
like John Cena in his final year, to go in
there and have with Cody Rhoads. And they were out

(01:42:45):
there for thirty seven minutes and John Cena was pulling
things out of his ass that we have not seen
him do so far this year. At no point during
this match did John Cena look like he was gassed.
Oh he's got nothing laught, Oh my god, he's so
fucking old. Like he looked better in this match than
he has looked in any of the matches we've seen
him and since he came back at the beginning of

(01:43:06):
the year. So I'm glad that we got as close
to the old John Cena as we could possibly get,
Like this was the right time to get that, because
this was the match where Cody was winning the belt back,
and that always had to be the plan. Cody Rose
looked like an idiot at WrestleMania. It was awful, and

(01:43:28):
he's the guy now. It's not John Cena anymore. He
is now the John Cena of this era in ww
He has modeled himself after John Cena. John Cena was
probably his dream opponent, so this had to be John
Cena finally putting him over and basically passing the torch.
Cody is the champion. Where he goes next, I don't know.

(01:43:50):
I'm still waiting on that Randy Orton program. I'm not
sure if we're going right into that. I'm not sure. Frankly,
I'm looking at the lay of the land and on
SmackDown right now, and I really have to think about
like where they might be going, you know next with
with Cody, I'm not sure, but as far as John
Cena in this match, I thought he looked great. Cody

(01:44:14):
was great. They played their parts perfectly and genuinely one
of the best matches of the entire year. Like I
cannot say enough good things about the match itself. Brock
coming back to take it back to what we talked
about at the beginning here, there's gonna be a lot
said about whether or not they should have brought him back.

(01:44:34):
I don't think the WWE needs Brockleisner. I don't think
that they need the baggage that comes with his name
right now. Until this whole situation is settled or resolved
in some way, at least, they're gonna be haunted by questions.
They're going to be peppered by questions. Triple H will
be doing the Odd Media Interviewer podcast and he's gonna
get hit with questions, and he better be prepared for them,

(01:44:57):
because they're perfectly valid questions. You know, this may and
is named in a very serious lawsuit that is still pending.
Like there is a reason that Vince McMahon is no
longer running the show. There's a reason that Paulavec is
the one that is sitting in gorilla position right now. Right.
The reason for that is Janelle Grant. So it's a
serious situation and it's still unresolved, and brock Lesner's name

(01:45:21):
has been linked to it. Right, He's not a defendant.
He wasn't sued. But the fact that you know, these allegations,
when you read them again, it's it's gross and it's disgusting.
The idea that you know he was negotiating a new
contract at the time, and that these things were going
on or text messages were going back and forth like ah,
take a look at this, you know that kind of thing,

(01:45:43):
and you know he's he's been you know, kind of
roped into this and he's associated with this. Now I
don't know why. Now, I don't know why. Okay, now
the coast is clear and it's a good time to
bring Brocklesner back. I don't know what the thought process is.
I don't know if it had to do specifically with
John Cena. And we're not going to see brock work

(01:46:04):
with anybody else but Sena because this is it, right,
this is the last if they want to do him
and Sena, this is it. They don't have another chance
to do it, So I'd be very curious to know
more about what kind of deal they reached. But that's
that's just kind of the way things stand right now.
There's going to be a lot of a lot of
people very happy to see Brock back because they feel

(01:46:26):
that he can bring something that is missing to the
product right now, and a lot of people that are
just frankly, even if you kind of put all that
sordid stuff on the side for a second, I think
there are people that are just tired of seeing brock lesnar,
you know. I mean, there are people that probably are
just going to look at this from a wrestling perspective
and say, what's left for him to do here, which

(01:46:51):
is valid. I do think that they're from a wrestling perspective.
I think that there are new people that he could
work with where you know, there could be some fun
matches in there him and Sena. I mean, again, what
kind of match are they going to have in twenty
twenty five? You know, I don't know what that looks like.

(01:47:12):
I don't know what that match looks like. But if
it were me, that would not have been something I
would have gone out of my way to make happen
is bringing Bracklesner back to ww A. And as I
said earlier seeing a schedule, he's down to nine dates
left on this retirement tour, and not a lot of

(01:47:33):
those dates are for events here in the US, So
we are rapidly approaching the end. I think it's a
shame that they wasted a good five months with this
heel nonsense looking back at what they did now that
we know the heel turn is officially over. You know,
I look at this and I go, man, I can

(01:47:54):
kind of understand them maybe not wanting all these matches
to be Babyface against Babyface, you know, like it would
have against the Orton and against Punk, But like there's
so many people, even some names he's worked with in
the past, like a Shamus or someone like that, that
I would love or AJ that I would love to
see him back in the ring with one last time.
There's still time for that to happen, But I don't

(01:48:14):
have a lot of optimism because he's only got so
many matches left and the fact they want to, you know,
use brock Lesnar for one of them, Well, we'll see
how that goes. I'm I'm skeptical about how that's going
to look. But let's take a look at this poll here,

(01:48:34):
very curious again. I did the format that we did
last night where I asked you guys to grade this
show A, B, C or D. Thirty seven point four
percent give this an A, thirty nine percent give the
show a B, fourteen point two percent give the show
a C, and nine percent give the show a D.

(01:48:59):
Was isn't the last person lesnar fock Cody? Yes, I
mentioned that earlier. That was SummerSlam two years ago. He
did the job for Cody Rhoads. And then Cody went
on to win the WWE Championship and King Nator just
dropped ten gifted memberships and everybody who has gifted memberships tonight,

(01:49:25):
You guys are awesome. Is that really his mother? Yes?
That is Nick Wayne's actual mother. It's not like Mama
Benjamin back in the day. This is his shoot mom.
All right, let me roll back to the early super
chats here so I make sure I don't miss anybody again.

(01:49:47):
Get those questions in. Now's the time to do it
if you haven't already done so, or if you just
want to support. We've had tremendous support this entire weekend.
So let me just thank everybody who has been a
part of all the stream games. Appreciate it very much.
All right, So let's see your death side getting us started. Earlier,

(01:50:15):
I was thinking that they should blow off punkin set
that Survivor series, since their feud technically began at that
show two years ago. Yeah, you know what, I don't
see that happening. I think that they're setting up for
probably sets guys to be in wargames, unless it's like
the MFT. Oh my god, I don't even want to

(01:50:36):
think about that. You imagine if it's Solo Socoa and
the MFTs in the fucking war Games match. Oh my god.
Death Site says, what if Sammy wins the rumble by
eliminating Drew, and Drew goads Sammy into putting his shot

(01:50:56):
on the line. Sammy finally beat Drew at the elimination chamber,
he challenges Cody at Wrestleman he of forty two, and
he beats him with the assist from Kevin Owens and
turns tweener. Yeah. I'm not a fan of that idea,
first of all, to goad him into putting his shot
on the line when he's worked so hard to earn

(01:51:18):
the shot in the first place. Just makes Sammy look stupid.
But I also think Sammy against Cody is not the match.
If anything, it's Sammy against Seth, not Cody. Also, what
did the Hunter say when he shot Bambie's mother? Oh dear,

(01:51:38):
not bad Bace beer Asena is getting number eighteen. No
he's not, No, he is not. His title run is ova.
That is it. That's why he kissed the title before
he handed it to the referee tonight, because he knew

(01:52:01):
it was the final time. Nick says, Look, if this
is it for the Scena heel run, I think it's
going to leave a permanent black mark on Triple H's
run as creative head that will be brought up years
from now. It'll definitely be a black mark for sure,

(01:52:21):
because I just don't think it was good. And how
do you fuck up a John Cena heel turn right?
It came ten years too late, right, ten twelve, thirteen years.
If it happened back then, I mean, under Vince, you
never know. If it happened back then and they did

(01:52:41):
it the right way, it would it would have been amazing.
It would have been huge, and he was full time
back then, so you could really have some fun with
it instead of him showing up once every six weeks.
Ace of Masta. Dustin had a better street fight. I

(01:53:02):
saw Meltzer gave that five star like it's just whatever,
it's his system, But my god, Dustin and Kyle Fletcher
five stars for that match on collision, Bass Beers says
Lesner with a feather in his cap Yes, he did
have a feather. That's right, he had a feather in
his cap ace of Master. Brock pits boy Lesner f

(01:53:26):
this company. Yep. Holiday one ninety seven, Night two of
Summer Slam has been by far better than Night one.
You added Gunther versus Punk to this card, it would
have been one of the better Summer slams. Boots Cody

(01:53:48):
went heel. He didn't come back out to defend Cena
from Lesner. Well maybe he went to the back and
he was in the bathroom, you know, he went to
the back, he was taking a shit, and then Brock
music hits to get to bolst pants up and go
running back out there. It's like, sorry, buddy, you're on
your own shapey ninety nine, the Rock sent Brock right,

(01:54:13):
because why do we need Brock versus Sena again. So
his theory is the Rock may have sent Brock. I again,
I we we don't need the Rock. We don't need

(01:54:34):
the Rock. Justter Benz, F Brock Lesner and F Triple H,
Nick con and Tko Dry Chicken says, I'm making this
prediction Brockolesner will have his own retirement match next year
at SummerSlam in Minneapolis. Well, he is a Minnesota guy,

(01:54:54):
although he doesn't live there anymore. I don't think brockn
it's a retirement match. Jano Compo. I think when Brock
is done, he's just done. That's it. Jan Ocampo says
if both made events didn't have neither of those finishes,
this proves, other than Mania and possibly the Rumble, there

(01:55:15):
shouldn't be two night pay per views. Money. It's all money.
They can make money. They're gonna do it PB with
a one hundred dollars super chap bomb, the big bomb
of the night. Right there. I may be old and tired,
but what was the whole point of Lesnar? Does he

(01:55:37):
need more money? Can never have enough money? All right,
that's what Brock says, Give me more money. I'll come back.
Lord Freeza says brother Solo, thank you for your work.

(01:55:57):
The Beast is back, says tremendous. I loved it, loved
this Summer Slam. Only match that was bad was Cross
against Sammy. Yeah. I don't think Cross did himself any
favors with that match. Alexander says the only good thing
of Brock's return is the match with Gunther at Mania

(01:56:17):
is a possibility. Again, well, I mean that was a
dream match for guntherro at one point. Actually, that was
the match that was supposed to happen to wrestle Mania
the following year, and obviously it didn't happen. Dry Chicken

(01:56:40):
says Gunther retired Goldberg, maybe Lesner is next. I'd be
okay with that. Look. I think Gunher is a possibility
for John Cena's final apoek. Can you imagine if they
had guntherer retire Goldberg and then Sina and then Brock.
Lakers pats speak for all. Travis Scott should have interfered,

(01:57:04):
you speak for all? Who is this all that you
speak of? Dry Chicken? Time for he says, time to
take a break from WWE. All right, Well, as long
as you don't take a break from the streams. You
can take a break from WWA, Jeremy Rose. Only WrestleMania
should be two nights. If it is supposed to be

(01:57:25):
the biggest event of the industry, then it should stand
alone as a two night event. I don't disagree with you.
I don't disagree with you. Justter bens with Brocklesner back.
I will be sticking with other wrestling shows besides WWE
for the foreseeable future. And on my birthday, of all days,

(01:57:47):
happy birthday, Justter you know what else happened. I mean
it's after midnight now, but twenty eight years ago on
August third, one of the greatest Summer Slam finishes of
all time Undertaker and Brett Hart with Shawn Michaels as
the guest referee. And where did it happen. Happen at

(01:58:08):
the Meadowlands in New Jersey, right up the road from
met Life Stadium. We got Tucky Neutron Mania, Roman versus
b No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
Tucky Tucky. We are not doing Roman reigns in brock
Lesnar again. Okay, you can forget about that, he says,

(01:58:33):
Roman versus brock Seth versus Punk Hayman on a pole match.
Oh oh, it's one big match. Roman versus Brock, versus
Seth versus Punk. I see Paul Hayman on a pole.
Peter McNasty TV Gunther versus Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania forty two,

(01:58:57):
Praying Holiday says, I wonder if we'll get Gunther versus boys.
A lot of interesting Gunther and Brock. I see, well,
look at mean, if Brock is back for more than
just a John Cena match, that would be the match
to see, right, that's the match I would want to see.

(01:59:25):
Halen's Haven Night two is a blast. Weird to have
two nights and have all the stipulation matches on one
of them. One of them would have stood out on
Night one. Yeah, they should have done a much better
job of breaking up those stipulation matches. To have them
all back to back to back like that was just
too much. I felt like I was watching SummerSlam Extreme

(01:59:46):
Rules Prince Vegeta. I know I'm a bit late, but
rest in peace, Hulk Hogan, Love him or hate him,
he is the Michael Jordan of wrestling, and, as it
says in the nWo theme, the biggest icon in wrestling. See, sir,
you are incorrect because according to WWA, the real icon
here is Stephanie McMahon. She comes first, then holkovid Uh,

(02:00:14):
mister Rod, the twenty dollars super chat, brock Lesner back, Huh,
what the fuck? Bro shocker of the whole weekend. Wow,
it was the shocker of the weekend. It was more
shocking than the money in the bancash. And I didn't
hear a single person talking about brock Lesner. They did

(02:00:36):
a very good job of keeping this under wraps. Apparently
they flew him in last night into New Jersey in
the dark of night, and they kept him hidden all
day long. And I'm sure they were filming all of
it for WWE Unreal. That'll probably be in season two.
Season two has already been confirmed as well, all the

(02:00:58):
stuff with Rollin's and the injury of the phony injury. Right,
all this shit is being filmed for Unreal. They got
cameras all over this stuff. They need content for the
next season, Mark Kwan. How do they promote seeing a
brock neither will barely come to raw or smack down? Yeah,

(02:01:22):
you know what, that's another issue. How do you promote
a match like that when the two guys are barely around.
This week's episode is sponsored by Express VPN. You know,
Jaws is the ultimate summer movie, one of the greatest
movies ever made. It's the fiftieth anniversary this year too,
of its release. Imagine going scuba diving in those waters

(02:01:44):
right now. Imagine going scuba diving in a suit made
out of meat. That's a good way to become shark food.
That's what going online with that Express VPN is like.
Scuba diving in a meat suit. Doesn't sound like the
smartest idea, does it. Every time you can to a
network that has no encryption, whether it's at a restaurant,
at the airport, maybe at your hotel, you need to

(02:02:07):
know that your personal data is not secure. Any hacker
on that same network can gain access to and steal
your sensitive information like passwords, bank loggins, or credit card details.
What a pain in that, you know what? That would be?
Good luck changing all of that, and that's the least
of your problems. If they make purchases with any of
your accounts, your data is valuable. Hackers can make up

(02:02:29):
to one thousand dollars per person selling your information on
the dark web. ExpressVPN stops hackers from stealing your data
by creating a secure, encrypted tunnel between your device and
the internet. ExpressVPN is also the best VPN because it's
super secure. It would take a hacker with a supercomputer
over a billion years to get past EXPRESSVPNS encryption. It's

(02:02:50):
also easy to use with the tap of a button
in the app, and it works across all of your
devices phones, laptops, tablets, and more. It also comes with
Identity Defender, new suite of tools to get your data
removed from data brokers, alert you when your data appears
on the dark web, and even insure you against data
theft for up to a million dollars. There's a reason

(02:03:11):
ExpressVPN is ranked number one by top tech reviewers like
c Net and The Verge. I use ExpressVPN whenever I'm
on the road, like at the airport of the hotel,
so I know it keeps me private, and that's important
to me because I need my information to be uncompromised.
It's just a headache that I do not need. If
my data falls into the wrong hands, it would be

weeks ago on Raw when he said bron Breaker is
the next big thing. And I told you this can

(02:04:13):
mean Brock against Braun at WrestleMania. I'm not shocked. That's
not really what that was. I mean he had it
wasn't just the next big thing. I think the next
big thing was said the Big Dog. It's like a
bunch of different nicknames. So I mean that in and
of itself wasn't really much of a giveaway. Holiday says

(02:04:37):
Sena could have worked with Styles again and with newer
talent like Breaker and Gunther. Brock against Sena is not
something I need to see again. Last time they wrestled,
I believe the last time they were in the ring
together was that triple threat match with Rollins at the
Royal Rumble and that was an excellent match. But Brock

(02:04:59):
he was kind of la out for most of it.
Then he made the big comeback at the end. Saquan
chills when Vince walks out on Monday, Monday Night Raw
and we get the shots of the crowd bowing down
to him. Well, I'll tell you right now, if Vince
comes back at some point, you will see these people

(02:05:21):
in the crowd bowing to him. Oh, I guarantee it,
guarantee it. I'll be the first to jump on Amazon
and buy them some towels for their knees so they
don't get rugburn. I'll fetex them to them. Johnny Bernie

(02:05:43):
says they don't care support other wrestling companies. Yeah, I mean,
they certainly don't give a shit. That much is clear retro. Koh,
I guess now we all know why they just so
happened to end the phony scrums now of all times. Yeah,
it's funny how that works. It's funny how that works.

(02:06:06):
Bobby's World gifted a membership to Tanya. Welcome Tanya uh
duffs VID's Brock against Sena at Paris. That's what I'm thinking.
I mean, otherwise it's got to be Paris or Perth.
I mean, there's no other real logical time to do

(02:06:27):
it unless they save it for the end of the year.
Bass beers as Lessener's return in twenty twelve was insane.
I marked out well in the building. It was crazy.
And what was crazier is this was around the time
that Daniel Bryan started the Yes stuff and I remember

(02:06:50):
when that show was over, there was a dark match.
It was like a ten man tag or a twelve
man tag because I don't even think he was maybe
in a backstage segment on the show that night, he
wasn't even raw, but he came out and I have it.
I recorded it on my phone, like everybody in the
building is doing this, and it was like the first
time that I really saw that, and it was like

(02:07:11):
a dark segment and I was like, holy shit. So yeah,
the crowd in Miami that night was insane. Jack Davis,
I wonder how Triple H explains to the female talent
about bringing Brock back. I feel like they at least
deserve an explanation from him or Nick con I don't
think that they share your opinion. I don't think they

(02:07:33):
give a shit. I really don't but just in case,
they should probably just make sure the door is locked
when they go to the bathroom. Holiday one ninety seven.
I think they're sowing the seeds of Cody turning heel
with the pile driver on Sina Orton would have to
be an extreme heel. Otherwise, in a program with Cody,

(02:07:56):
for the fans to turn on Randy, he would be
and I think that he still can be. I'm intrigued
by the possibility of heel Cody and babyface Randy. I
just still think it's very stupid to turn Cody. I
still just don't think it's the right time for that.

(02:08:21):
Justin g All Hail Taller Tonga, Bigger than Tonga Loa
nash DTV s up Solo SummerSlam was a low B
grade show for me on both nights. I hope you
have a good night. I hope you have a good
night as well. I think you and I are in agreement.
I have it at a BEE. I have it at

(02:08:44):
a B for both nights. And to go back to
the pile driver, the pile driver, I didn't read anything
into the pile driver. I don't think the pile driver
has anything to do with him going heel. I think
you're looking for something that isn't there. Nash also says,
are you good at wrestling impersonations? Can you give us

(02:09:06):
your best one? I'm not. I'm not. I've done my
Russo before. But other wrestlers, there's other people who are
far better at impersonations than me. Darth Panic says, is
wwe going to get to a point where all pls

(02:09:28):
are two nights? Not all of them, but you're gonna
see rumble, You're gonna see money in the bank. I
think within a few years Survivor series, you could do it.
With Survivor series. You could have two nights for two
wargames matches where there is money to be made. If
they feel like the market is there for that, they
will do it. I mean they are in money making

(02:09:50):
mode more so now than ever. Even if it's detrimental
to the on air product, they can make money off it,
They're gonna do it. Jeremy says, any thoughts on the
Zio Rakkeishi beef not really. It's kind of sad that
all of that is being litigated publicly like that, so
probably should be taken private. But that's that's between two

(02:10:12):
family members. You know Zilla's father, Umaga is Rakishi's brother,
and frankly, I haven't really been following all the comments.
I think Mozilla's mom made some kind I haven't even
been following all of it. Def sithe. Unless wwe can

(02:10:34):
get Stone Cold Steve Austin to be John Cena's final opponent,
which I doubt, then it is safe to say that
this retirement tour has been a bigger botch since the invasion.
Angle John Cena and Stone Cold in Sena's retirement match.
You think Sena? You think Austin is going to come

(02:10:56):
back just to lose to John Cena in his retirement match.
Nick Grosso, what does Ria and EO do now? Maybe
they team up for a bit and feud with Oscar
and Kyrie, because these Oscar segments have to be going somewhere.

(02:11:17):
I would think that the Oscar stuff, it's been like
these little subtle hints about maybe her and EO having
some sort of issue. You know, if you're going to
do a tag team thing with Ria for a month
or two, I guess that's fine. But she's too big
to be stuck in a tag team, Like she's too
big of a star to just be stuck in a

(02:11:38):
tag team for months on end Asia twenty dollars super chat.
Just to thank you for your review. Thank you, my friend.
I appreciate you very much. That means a lot, Holliday,
says Cody versus scene. It turned out to be better

(02:12:00):
than I expected. The Scena heel turned ruined the big
fight feel of their WrestleMania match, and Sina was less
spirited and more worn in his performance. Night two to
one by a mile. Well, if I was gonna compare
the two nights as similar as they are, I enjoyed
the main and I like the main event on Night
one with Gunther and Punk, but I enjoyed the main

(02:12:21):
event on Night two more so. Night two gets the
nod for me, but only slightly. Terrible. Dried Chicken says
John Cena. Heel Run should have been the easiest task
to do in pro wrestling, seen as Heel Run was
more dried chicken than me. It's pretty dry, uh, doctor Scorpio.

(02:12:41):
I'm willing to wager Naomi beats Vicaire in Paris. Yeah,
I mean, she's she's got to be the favorite. Prince
Vegeta twenty one months in membership, This rollins punk Stuff
needs to end. They are trying to make this an
all time few, but it's just not doing it for me.
Punkin McIntyre was better in my opinion. Yeah, I mean,

(02:13:05):
if you want to compare the two, Punkin McIntyre was
great at least this one though, like it does have
an element that a lot of feuds don't have, where
you can you can buy into the idea that these
two really don't like each other. Duff's VIDs. How come
you can't trust trains? They have locomotives they do Nick

(02:13:38):
Grosso nineteen ninety nine, just like Duffs. Maybe they could
be attack team. I'm not surprised Becky retained because I
knew where they were going. Bailey plays a role in
Lyra losing. She's out of the way for now, and
now we get Becky versus Bailey. Then we get Bailey
versus Lyra with Bailey dropping the title. We'll see that's

(02:14:01):
the only way she's gonna get her hands on that
title now, so better hope that's the way it works out.
Cobalt Jones, thank you for the membership. Duff's viz. Why
can't a tomato win a race? It can't catch up,
it can't catch up death side. Also, speaking of Sina

(02:14:26):
and Austin, it is also safe to say Austin's heel
turn in two thousand and one was far more entertaining
than Sina's heel turned in twenty twenty five. Entertaining absolutely,
it was much more entertaining. Duff'svid says, I really love
pizza from my head to Motoes, I like see I

(02:14:52):
like that one. That's my favorite one so far, from
my head and to Motoes Holiday one night twenty seven.
Where does this your summer slam rate? Out of all
summer slam paper? Oh? I don't dude, Come on, man,
there's been like thirty something SummerSlam. Is this? This is
not even in my top ten? Night two alone would

(02:15:15):
be up there for me, but Night one brings it down.
This could have been a one night show with Gunther
versus punk dude. I don't even think it's in my
top ten. But where exactly it ranks? I have no idea?
Doves VIDs? What do you call your grandma on speed dial? Instagram? Instagram?

(02:15:49):
Bass beerus with a five dollars super chat felt somber
seeing Jeff he should be way bigger than he is.
He could have had it all. Glad he's at least
doing okay today. He's referring to Jeff Hardy, who was
in the crowd with his brother watching the show. You know,

(02:16:11):
considering his his history and all the issues he's had.
If you're a Jeff Hardy fan, I think that you
should just be content that he is doing well. You know,
he's doing well in TNA, He's still wrestling and seems
to be doing well. Otherwise. It's about as good as
you can hope for. Could he have been much bigger,
of course, but you know, again, he's got nobody to

(02:16:34):
blame for that but himself, the sheriff of Patties. When
life pulls me away from wrestling, your shows keep me informed, entertained,
and always bring me back to watching. Still the best
in the biz. M That's what I love to hear,
Thank you, gold Dust, respector love that Becky is embracing

(02:17:02):
the Becky Hogan things so much. Her entrance video was
all yellow and red. You know, I didn't even notice that.
I was just so focused on the new music. I
wasn't even really paying attention to what was on the screens.
Duff's VIDs with a nineteen ninety nine Why did the
one handed man cross the road to get to the

(02:17:25):
second hand store? Hmm, not bad, but I liked the
last one more. Arnold PJ. You would dislike Lyra and
Becky's match even more as I did if you would

(02:17:48):
notice that Lyra got free after she first avoided a
manhandle slam on the chairs, and then she quickly put
her hands together. You know what, I I did not
catch that. Then she quickly put her hands together again. Wow,
I have to go back and take a look at that. Now,
that's just awful. Again. I know what they were going for,

(02:18:13):
but it just all it really did was hinder the match.
Honestly didn't. It didn't enhance the match or make it
better at all. Duffsvids. How do you get a smoking
hot body as a senior citizen god cremation? That's terrible, terrible, true,

(02:18:37):
but terrible. Bender mc simpson. Uh. The Women's Triple Threat
and AJ and DOM were the best parts of the weekend,
But this weekend was an l random question. Where do
you rank the Hull Cogan diamond shaped WWF title belt?

(02:18:57):
Are we talking about the Hogan eighty six belt? The
Hogan belt that he had at WrestleMania three. I liked
that belt, so he had it from eighty six and
to eighty seven. That belt I liked. I assume that's
the diamond belt. That's the one you're referring to. There

(02:19:22):
was another one that was a little bit smaller that
he had, like an eighty five. That one's okay. I
wasn't like a I really wasn't like a huge fan
of that one though. Bass Beers says, we don't get
enough Number one Contenders matches on ples. I think they

(02:19:45):
belong on TV. You save your biggest matches for the pls.
I mean, you could do Number one Contenders matches every
now and then, but you gotta save something for TV.
It's so many freaking hours of TV. I want some
matches that mean something. Athletic Geek eighty nine. Do you

(02:20:07):
think that Brock coming back will be bad PR for
WWE and TKO? As bad as this may sound, do
you think it matters? I appreciate hearing your take. Love
the show. Is it going to be bad PR for them? Yes?
Is it going to matter? No? No, Because here's the

(02:20:31):
reality of it. For all the people that you're going
to see on social media who are very upset that
WWE would bring Brock back when things are still very
unsettled when it comes to all that stuff, The majority
of fans, they don't care. The majority of WWE fans
probably are not even aware of the situation, and even

(02:20:52):
if they are, I would say more than not, don't
give a shit. You want a realistic reality take on it.
That's the reality of the situation. So to answer your
question doesn't matter. No, it's not going to affect their

(02:21:13):
business one iota. So they don't care. Uh Duff's VIDs.
Why did the belt and the suspenders go to jail?
They both held up a pair of pants. Jeremy Rose

(02:21:38):
exorbitant prices, two nights, lazy, creative until fans stop shelling
out the money. This is what we are going to
get going forward. Yes, but Jeremy, it's it's cinema. Larry

(02:21:58):
Jester has seen a call his rocker dropper the Seeneasser.
I don't think so. I've never heard him use that name.
And now it's too late. He's retiring, so now it's
too late for him to start calling it that. Bace beers.
We need more backstage segments on Ples. Well, I mean,

(02:22:21):
especially when you have twenty minutes in between matches. Debt
sithe the only Samoan Jacob fought too should be in
a program with his Roman reigns. Hopefully it WrestleMania of
forty two. We need to get that match at some point.

(02:22:42):
I do agree. Derek J. Speaks fans were chanting we
want Cross on the post show, Triple H thought they
were saying we want Brock. Is this the definition of
tone depth? They hear what they want to hear. They
hear what they want to hear, King Nader. I enjoyed tonight,

(02:23:10):
and I think I missed John Cena as a baby face.
I popped for him for his entrance even though I
knew it was coming best Sena that I have seen
in years. Anobie mL Hello Solo. Could Sokoa's MFT be

(02:23:35):
the new Learning Tree? Oh my god, I think it
already is not nearly as annoying, though also a wild
Nick con appears during the Sena Lesnar moment. Yeah, he
was right in the front row, right at the corner

(02:23:55):
of the aisleway. That's usually where he is when he
shows up. Uh Duff's viz. What do you call a
funny mountain hilarious? What do you call a funny mountain hilarious? Okay?

(02:24:21):
I once loved two girls at a time. Their names
were Kate and Edith. I learned what they say is true.
Can have Kate and Edith too? Oh boy, your suck

(02:24:45):
Bobby's world. Thank you for the gifted membership to JL.
Justin g with two gifted memberships, Fabian Garcia. I heard
you were rooting for Miz at WrestleMania twenty seven from
wrestle Talks Nexus video Allie named you. Is this true?
I was rooting for the Miz at WrestleMania twenty seven.

(02:25:16):
Link me to the video. I certainly wasn't cheering for
that main event Wolf nine Deuce, although missus intro video
on that show to NAS was quite awesome. Wolf says,

(02:25:37):
how about a salute to you, my brother? Well, I'm
gonna salute you right back, mutual salute my friend Duff's viz.
Why don't roosters wear underwear? Their peckers are on their
face down bad. Even before the lawsuit stuff, I stopped

(02:26:08):
caring about LESNAR a long time ago. Great main event
though it was, it was a great main event. Don't
forget we got two rounds coming up. Man of be
the booker. We got two shit. I might go three
if a fucking gigantic bomb gets drop. Super Pony says,

(02:26:30):
fien fien fien, fien, fien fien fien, And here I
was hoping not to hear it. Tonight, Pisco ninety five
wrestling is so fascinating. Two guys can have a shitty match,
but put them in the ring again, and now they
have a Match of the Year contender. Too bad. Brock's

(02:26:51):
return is going to overshadow SNA passing the torch. Yeah,
well pretty much torch at that moment. Uh got Enigma
three sixteen. Can't wait until everybody says this is an
eighty seven percent ple like good little drones. No percentages

(02:27:17):
on this one, A B, C or D. Jeremy Rose says,
Drew Cody in Paris, Ah, Drew. That's right, Drew is
on SmackDown. Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes could be the
next program. I am down for that. I am down

(02:27:39):
for that. Matt Fisher, you could say that I can't
think of any puns. You could say that I can't
think of any puns well, thank you anyway, Matt appreciate

(02:28:01):
the love the Juliet with the twenty five says, what
I say about Brock's return would be censored by YouTube
in this super chat. I wonder if seeing a politic
to have Brock returned to have one last match with Brock. Yeah,
I don't see scene a politicking for any specific opponent.
So the answer on that is now, brock Lesnar is

(02:28:24):
not back because John Cena lobby to have brock Lesnar back.
I just I can't see that. I just don't think
he would get involved in that, you know, throw himself
into that. Mactubb says better overall performer Punk or Jericho.

(02:28:49):
Oh man, I mean we're not just talking about right now. Okay,
let's assume we're not just referring to, like right now, Jericho.

(02:29:09):
Justin g two gifted memberships. Let's keep racking them up. Man,
there's a number I'm trying to get back to rack
him up, King Nator with ten. That'll help. Thank you,
King Nator for the gifted memberships. Death Site thirteen dollars.

(02:29:32):
Super chest Sena passed the torch to Cody. I thought
Cody already had the torch when he beat Roman at WrestleMania.
Since Roman had already replaced Sena as the face of WWE,
and now Cody has replaced Roman. Yes, but Roman is
not the one that they refer to as the greatest
of all time. When he comes out the idea that
Sena is the goat. It's not my goat, but to them,

(02:29:54):
he's the goat. Cody has now beaten the goat and
Sina hands the title to him. It's like a passing
of the torch. I always laughter wrestle Many at eighteen
when they said that Hogan was passing the torch to
the Rock. Meanwhile the Rock, it was two thousand and two.
Rock's already on his way out. He's starting to do

(02:30:15):
movies in Hollywood passing the torch. Zizo zanc good moments,
but SummerSlam was not worth two nights of my time
as a fan. Keep SummerSlam one night. But I understand
WWE is money over quality. Yeah, yeah again punkin Jericho, Man,

(02:30:41):
I just I go back with Jericho. I go all
the way back to the cruiserweight stuff and the conspiracy
theory stuff in WCW. And you know the list of
one thousand and four Holt. He's been able to like
reinvent himself in different ways over these past few decades
where he's been consistently entertaining up to a point, he's

(02:31:03):
been consistently entertaining while also being able to go out
there and have these great matches that he's had. So,
you know, with Punk it's close, but I just got
to give Jericho the edge on that Punk. Punk has
something that a lot of people don't have when it
comes to the promos he cuts. Because Jericho was never
a bad promo. I would give Punk the edge on promos.

(02:31:27):
He had a certain again authenticity to him that a
lot of people don't have. But when I look at
the whole package, just I give Jericho the slight edge.
Jacob says, I was there and I couldn't help but
cheer for Supersena over Cody. Seeing John Cena run down

(02:31:48):
the ramp made me feel like a kid again. Matt Fisher,
j C should win the Intercontinental title. I don't think
he's ever held it. Oh, JC got I thought you
were talking about j C. Matteo. I'm like, it's kind

(02:32:12):
of random. You say, Jason, we have a JC on
the roster. You gotta specify these things, man. John Cena
should win the Intercontinental title. I don't think he's ever
held it. Actually, he said win the IC title. Sir?
Do you think John Cena should win the women's Intercontinental

(02:32:33):
title as well? Just give him both. John Cena is
not going to waste his last nine appearances going after
the Intercontinental Championship after he just lost the WWE Championship.
So it's not happening. I can't tell you how many
people always bring that up to me, and do you
think that? Do you think they'll do this? Should they do? Like? No, no,

(02:32:56):
if he wasn't retiring, then maybe, but no, the time
for that is long gone. It's over, it's done. It's
beneath him. Owen Curtis, first time in eleven years that
WWE title has changed hands at SummerSlam. That's an interesting stat.

(02:33:23):
Jesus Christ should win the Icy though. Okay, so in
that one super chat we have, j C could be
John Cena should win the Intercontinental title. J C. Matteo
or Jesus Christ. I don't know. I don't think Jesus
needs it. I feel like he's probably a little bit
above the Intercontinental title. Owen Curtis. Last time was Sena

(02:33:52):
versus Brock history overlaps. Wow. So this is the first
time since Brock beat Sena that the WWE title has
changed hands at Summersley? Is that true? That sounds impossible
to me. Mactub buy or Sell two thousand, Triple h

(02:34:18):
Or nineteen ninety seven, Brett nineteen ninety seven, Brett abyssle
zones By Sell rent On in Ring Chemistry, Rock Austin
Rock Triple H or Austin Triple H by On Rock Austin,
rent On Rock Triple H, Sell On Austin Triple H.

(02:34:38):
All three were great, but that's how I'm ranking them.
Thunder Force. I think WWE wants see it to get
a big win over Brock. While he did beat him
at Extreme Rules in twenty twelve, Brock dominated him in
that match. What do you think is gonna happen this time?

(02:34:59):
What do you think I think is going to happen
this time? Do you think that Brock Lesnar is coming
back to go in there and do what to get
his ass kick for eighty percent of the match. It
still bothers me that Brock lost that match by the way,
first fucking match back and he loses to John Cena.

(02:35:22):
We got j F Dubie or dube. Am I the
only one pissed about l A. Knight's treatment? No, I
mean there's a lot of people who were upset about that.
I mean, the fact that they couldn't find a spot
for him on the show is pretty ridiculous. But now
that Seth Rollins is the champion, LA Knight should be
challenging him in Paris for that title because he has

(02:35:43):
a win over him from Saturday Nights made event. That
should be the world heavyweight title match in Paris at
the end of the month. We got Leolio is with
us five months. Just call me Leo. Well, I wish

(02:36:05):
I would have read that first. Okay, well, I will
do that. Just call me Leo, he says. Bringing Brock
back just reeks of creative bankruptcy. Aside from a couple
of matches, this was pretty boring. Yeah, that's why I say.
I mean, it's certainly not a top ten SummerSlam for me.

(02:36:26):
I'm willing to go as high as a solid B
for both nights. That's about it. I mean, I have standards.
Kevin Brock and Sena should just play a friendly game.
Of mini golf for the main event of the next
pl e with Fien French version playing in the background.

(02:36:50):
Is a French version of Fen? Really? Yeah? Maybe Brock
and Scenic could have some kind of competition other than
just a wrestling match, could do musical chairs like they

(02:37:10):
did on that one episode of Raw Peanut Butter Shelley
with the nine ninety nine, I feel it is gross
Brock got brought back. But just FYI to all the
people saying, watch aw, they brought back Rick Flair for
Sting's retirement after he had very gross allegations, bad all around.

(02:37:39):
Thank you, Peanut Butter Shelley, we got capyitaw. I remember
you saying that there's no chance Vince McMahon comes back,
and I would wholeheartedly agree. After the last few days,
I'm not so sure now, you know, nothing would surprise

(02:38:01):
me anymore, but I'm gonna say no, he is not
coming back. Would I put it past this company though? Now?
Fabian Garcia comfort Match and comfort Show, Comfort Show, King
of the Ring ninety three, that's my comfort show King

(02:38:26):
of the Ring ninety three or Royal Rumble ninety two,
Comfort Match. I mean, there's any number of them. Really
probably Brett Haart and mister Perfect from King of the
Ring ninety three. I have, I have watched that numerous times.

(02:38:55):
I mean, there's there's a lot, there's a lot of
different options, but I'll I'll throw that one out there.
That's my comfort match on my comfort show death side. One.
Last thing. I didn't say Austin would lose to scene
a Goldberg lost his And there's been plenty of wrestlers
who have lost their final match. Yes, but you're missing

(02:39:19):
the point though, Like you're gonna bring back sixty year
old Steve Austin out of retirement to beat John Cena
in his retirement match. Why, I don't understand the logic.
You get a lot more out of it if you
use a guy like Gunther who's on your roster right now,

(02:39:41):
or Eve been a bron breaker Davy Boy eleven. Here's
a terrible impression of Duff's VIDs. What's the worst tasting
part of a vegetable? The wheelchair? Oh? I think even
Duff's VIDs is like, dude, what the fuck this journey

(02:40:10):
called life? Hello? Solo haven't been in. Haven't been on
in a while due to the work schedule. But I
had to check in and say I had a great
time at SummerSlam, went both nights and I am pleased.
Punk getting cashed in on made me cry? Why not
as much as that guy in that video? I saw?
There was one CM Punk fan going down an escalator

(02:40:31):
as he was leaving last night, who apparently was very upset.
He did not look like he was having a very
good time. Bobby's World, Buy or sell Austin's heel turn
at Wrestleman he is seventeen or Austin's heel turn at Invasion,

(02:40:52):
if in fact you consider that Austin turned face at
the raw before Invasion. I mean, if I had to choose,
I would buy on the WrestleMania turn the Invasion turn.

(02:41:13):
Just it just irritated the shit out of me, like
I couldn't. I couldn't enjoy that, death Sithe. What did
the rabbit say to the veterinarian? What's up? Doc? Thank you?
Death Sithe? James Gentry. If Sena has four matches left

(02:41:46):
and one is Brock, who would be the other? Three? Punk?
Roman seth Aj who else would you say? Brock for
last or the next PLA. I would not save Brock
for life. I think you do that in Paris or Perth.
Punk's been done Roman. I have no interest in seeing

(02:42:07):
seen in Roman. I didn't think their first match frankly
or not the first one, but the well actually now
even the first one they had in twenty seven teen
was it twenty seventeen at no mercy, I don't remember
that being all that great. And I really didn't think
their summer Selim matches all that great. And now they're
both babyfaces and it doesn't make any sense. So I

(02:42:30):
would not do Roman. I would not do Punk again.
I think AJ would be great. I think Gunther. I
think Gunther as his last opponent makes a lot of sense.
As far as you know, they're gonna do Brock. If

(02:42:51):
they did Brock AJ and Gunther, I'd be fine with that.
I'd be fine with that. Drew, Drew could work to
him and Drew El Prescat who appears on WWE in
person first, Vince or Trump god El Prescat neither. Matt

(02:43:23):
Fisher says Scenasser l o loo l. He had the
chance to do it. He had the chance to do it.
Now he's retiring. It's too late. Can't do it. Chris
as a woman who is a wrestling fan. It's scary
and upsetting to see how little people care about victims

(02:43:44):
love your show though, man, keep it up again. That's
why I said before, you know, when I got that
other super Chat, It's like, realistically, you know, do you
think it really matters? Is it gonna matter? It's like
it's not, you know, their business is kind of bulletproof
right now, honestly, and I just feel like the majority

(02:44:07):
of their audience is unaware of a lot of things,
and maybe they choose to be, you know, or it
just doesn't bother them. And you know, in a lot
of the in a lot of those cases, it's sad,
but you know, that's that's just kind of the way

(02:44:27):
it is. That's that's what I've seen. But thank you,
Chris uh Super Pony, Sammy against Seth Cody versus Punk

(02:44:51):
WrestleMania Lock it In Sammy and Seth Cody and Punk.
I could live with that. And Dan Neil Malcolm celebrates
twenty three months of Channel membership. Constable Corbin anyway, Yeah no, no,

(02:45:14):
no bum ass Corbin for seeing his final opponent. Well,
thank you guys for all the messages and the questions.
We are currently sitting at nearing fourteen hundred likes, which
is awesome. We could break that, right, we could break

(02:45:34):
fourteen hundred. Let's get twenty more. But we are scheduled
for two rounds of be the booker. We had quite
the night last night. Let's see how it goes tonight.
It is time to be the booker. Ladies or gentlemen,
It is now time to be the booker. Oh, it

(02:45:59):
is time. We had some interesting choices last night that
we ended up with. So we're doing two rounds. Let's
do this first one here, and we're starting things out now.

(02:46:21):
We have some new people here who have probably never
seen this before, and they're wondering what is this. We're
just randomly booking some matches tag match, women's match, main
event and seeing what we can come up with. There's
dozens and dozens of options here. And this right here
are the Kings of Wrestling. This is Chris Hero and
Claudio and former tag team champions together could have been

(02:46:49):
a great team in WWA. Kings of Wrestling against the
Kings of Canada. Look at this Brett and Owen Hart. Dude,
the Kings of Wrestling against Bretta and Heart Take my
money now that's a tremendous start to be the booker.

(02:47:16):
We have Raquel Rodriguez, one half of the Women's Tag
team champions. Ever since the Kevin Nash comments, she's been
working big. She's been working like a monster in the division.
I like what I've been seeing from Raquel. She took
those Kevin Nash comments to heart, and Raquel is going

(02:47:39):
to be working big against Jamie Hayter, who was out injured.
Once again. I'm telling you she got hurt when she
got spiked by Mercedes in their match, like right near
the end of that match. She got spiked in her
fucking head. And then we have not seen I mean
they did the tecla Al on TV where Tekla took

(02:48:01):
her out, but we haven't seen her since that. That
was an awful bump. I'd be shocked if that's not
what injured her. Ah. Yes, I'm sorry, former Women's Tag
team champion, Raquel Rodriguez. You are correct. All right? Our

(02:48:25):
first main event here, let's see we have two in
the no. Uh Nigel McGinnis. He was pretty great too.
Back in the day. I saw many great Nigel McGinnis
matches and Ring of Honor and even summoned TNA Desmond Wolf,

(02:48:51):
Nigel McGinnis against bron Breaker and that is a clean sweep.
We got bells for all three. How can we possibly
top this? I think we should just cut our losses.
It's just kind of cut the second round out. I mean,

(02:49:13):
we can't top that. We'll save the second round for tomorrow. Now,
I'm kidding, I'm kidding. I owe you a second round now.
In the second round, we have stipulations. Tons of stipulations
are in here, all kinds of wacky stipulations too. So
let's see what our first match is going to be.

(02:49:34):
It is going to be. Well, look I said wacky,
and I was not lying when I said that. It
is a Mimosa Mayhem match. Look at Jerichosa. This is
what he's been doing the last few months. He's been
off TV, by the way, he's been lounging out in

(02:49:55):
his Mimosa bath, probably shooting great into his veins. All right,
so let's do, uh, how do we do? We can't
do a tag match? Usually we start with the tag match.
How are we gonna have a tag team Amosa Mayhem match?
All right, we'll have to do the ladies. We'll have

(02:50:15):
to do the women. That's all. You got no choice.
We gotta do the women. This is going to be
a women's Mimosa Mayhem match. Now, the way this works
is the match is over when you throw your opponent
into the mimosa bath. So that is how you win

(02:50:36):
the match. Yes, this was a real stipulation, Randall. I
did not make this shit out. You saw it in
the photo right there. That was a real stipulation. We
have Zaia Lee who is now in TNA, but we
have Ziya Lee and she is going to be stepping

(02:51:00):
into the ring with Tony Storm. Tony Storm and Zaya Lee.
You know, if anybody can make the stipulation work, it's
Tony Storm, Timeless time. She's not timeless in this photo,

(02:51:22):
but timeless Tony Storm. I was ready. I was all
ready to hit the buzzer on that one. Now we
do a tag team match. It is a tag team
hair match, so the losing team will have to have
their head shaved. So that's what we're doing here. Okay,

(02:51:48):
tag team hair match. I don't believe that there has
been a tag team hair match since Eddie and Art
bar Right. If the World's Collide wasn't that a hair
match love Machine art Bar another controversial figure. Oh well,
this is not fair. Can't do that. It's the Toxic Turtles.

(02:52:11):
They have no hair. Well, we have a bit of
a We're in a bit of a stalemate here. I
don't know what to do now. This is very unfair.
I mean, this is like Caine being in a first
Blood match and he's covered from head to toe. How
the fuck are we supposed to do a hair man.
I gotta pick a new stipulation. I can't. We have

(02:52:36):
to pick a new stipulation. They have no hair, all right?
Tag Team Bear God Tag Team buried a live match,
So basically we're burying two people in one grave. You're
gonna have to stack them up. This is unbelievable. Tag
team buried alive. You've got to stack them, stack them

(02:52:57):
and bury them. Actually, one of my favorite SmackDown matches
was a tag team buried a live match. Right, it
was Rock and Mankind against the God. Who was it? No,
I'm sorry it was Undertaker And yeah it was Undertaker
and Big Show against Rock and Mankind? Oh god, did

(02:53:24):
they have it? Did they have a name? Where they
were they? Harlem Heat two thousand? Was that? Their name,
Stevie Ray and Big T the former Ahmed Johnson. This
was in w c W. I think they were Harlem
Heat two thousand. Oh my god, poor Ko and Sammy

(02:53:46):
Kevin Owens and Sammy Zain in a tag team Buried
a live match against Harlem Heat two thousand. You know
I am, I am kind of morbidly curious what this
would look like with Ahmed Johnson wrestling Sammy's Ain. I

(02:54:11):
have look I feel like I would be sports entertained.
I also am I actually am a fan of the
Buried a live stipulation. I'm a mark for that step.
I don't know why I've always liked that stipulation. I
can't explain it. All Right, we have one last main

(02:54:35):
event left to go. We could very well end up
with a second clean sweep here. This is going to
be ah fuck Kennell from Hell. I spoke too soon,
Kennell from Hell match. I mean this is this is

(02:54:59):
going to take two tremendous performers to make this work. Well,
that ends that a Kennel from Hell match with Bill Goldberg.

(02:55:26):
I mean it's already been buzzed. I'll finish the job
here and just see who the opponent is. But it
doesn't even matter. It doesn't even matter. Goldberg against Miro
or Russev or whatever you want to call them in

(02:55:47):
a kennel from hell, still giving it the buzzer, still
giving it the buzzer. Fuck it. He's supposed to be retired.
He's not supposed to be here. Brett would be. If

(02:56:10):
it was Brett, I would have given it the bell.
If it was Brett, I would have definitely given it
the bell. Why would you put poor Brett through that? Though?
I wouldn't I wouldn't want to be responsible for that.
I'd never forgive myself death side. What's the worst thing

(02:56:32):
that a woman could say to Jesus to kill the
mood when they are performing The Beast with two backs?
Oh my god, the Beast with two backs? Okay, this
journey called life? Where do you see Styles going from here?

(02:56:54):
Since losing? I see him going into a rematch with
Dominic in Paris because dom cheated, right, he hit him
in the fucking head with a boot, So I think
he's headed to a rematch. That's where I think he's headed.
Look at Sammy. If Sammy's ame was in a dance competition,

(02:57:15):
he would already be world heavyweight champion. Aila Tonight's ending
had me screaming, screaming in a good way, screaming in
a bad way, and it can mean different things. And
Clone Forest ninety nine says, hey, solo, I haven't been

(02:57:38):
on here in a minute because wrestling overall has burned
me out, and I've only been seeing it on YouTube.
And have you seen Cross's recent tweet? I have not,
so I will very quickly, will very quickly go find
Carrie and Cross's recent tweet. Let's see from two hours ago. Okay,

(02:58:05):
so apparently this video that was mentioned before of people
in the background chanting we want Cross and yes, apparently
Triple H ponded off as we want Brock, which is
fucking ludicrous. Cross quote tweeted it and says unreal. They

(02:58:26):
write the scripts, but the fans write the truth. Thank you, TikTok. Yeah,
I think he's I think he's gone. I think he's gone.
It doesn't look good, Uncle Gumbald. I blame this on

(02:58:51):
Duff's VIDs. I curse you, mayor Marinara, never cling to
your pasta. You got that from the Golden Girls. I
know that, I know that that was the episode with
Sophia and her sister from the Old Country Athletic Geek

(02:59:15):
eighty nine. You also feel Brett Perfect King of the
Ring ninety three is better than Summer Slim ninety one.
I do, I do. I enjoyed their King of the
Ring match more than their Summer Slim match. And Perfect
was also physically in better shape than he was in
ninety one because in ninety one going into that show
he had the back injury. Isla says, screaming in a

(02:59:38):
good way. See, That's why I asked, because there were
a lot of people tonight screaming in a bad way,
so I wanted to clarify it a good scream or
a bad scream. This holy crap Solo remembers the exact
Golden Girls episode. I do. I watched the entire series.
It's a great show. Writing on that show is fantastic.

(03:00:03):
Solo is a Golden Girl's mark. I am. I think
one of the other Sophia jokes because she and her
sister didn't get along and they were going back and
forth with insults, and I think I think it was
in that episode where Sophia had a line about may
you pull your lip over your your head and swallow
or something like that. RAF says, did you or will

(03:00:27):
you do a BTS on how B to B is built?
I don't know. I don't know if there's enough interest
in that. I need to make some updates so I
will be doing that, but I'm I'm undecided on that.

(03:00:47):
Maybe something at some point for members, maybe members only.
We've got besico. Can we never see the Three Amigo
spot ever again? Yeah? You know, I think it's cool
that all these wrestlers like to pay homage to Eddie Guerrero,
But like now that everybody is doing the Three Amigos,

(03:01:08):
it's like, all right, can we just keep it to
like a few people so it's their thing. I do
feel like almost everybody does it now. Devin from New
Jersey by Rent and Sell, which walkout affected WWE, Moore,
Austin and O two, Brock and O four or Punk
in twenty fourteen. I think Brock and O four really

(03:01:35):
really screwed up their plans. I mean they really pushed
him to the moon and they were kind of building
around him, and I do I do sometimes wonder when
I get these questions like had he stuck around right?
Because in five is where they crowned Sena and Batista,
and they really gave the ball to Sena, but they
separated them. One was on one show, the other guy

(03:01:56):
was on the other show. If Brock sticks around and
oh four, it changes everything. So I still think Sena
ends up getting over and getting pushed, but it might
be delayed a little bit. You know, maybe Batista doesn't
get the push he gets. So I kind of want
to go with Brock. I mean, not that Austin walking
out wasn't a big deal. It was, but at that point,

(03:02:17):
no too. It almost felt like they were kind of
beyond the point where Austin walking out was like a
killer for them. You know, I might be inclined to
buy on Brock honestly, and then rent Austin and sell
Punk Darth Panic. What is a Kennel from hell Match?

(03:02:39):
So Kennel from Hell Match was thankfully just a one
time thing. It was between Al Snow and the Big
Boss Man. I believe it was unforgiven, right, it was
it unforgiven September of ninety nine, and it was a
traditional at the time. They had the blue bar steel cage,
not this mesh stuff. So you had the regular steel cage,

(03:03:01):
and they put the hell in a cell over the
steel cage, and then in the space between the two cages.
The idea was you would have these like rabid dogs.
I think it was like Doberman's like guard dogs that
would be barking and like ready to bite you, and
they'd be running around and making noise. So like as
a concept, it's kind of interesting, but then an execution,

(03:03:22):
it just shit the bed and the dogs were I
think the dogs were like congregating in one area only,
and they were like peeing on the floor, and it
was like it just didn't work. It didn't work in
the way that they intended for it to work, so
they never did it again. But it is one of
the more infamous matches in WWA. BW Roses TNA's Bound

(03:03:48):
for Glory got a plug at SummerSlam. Yes, the Hardy's
and Dudley's match A Bound for Glory got a quick plug.
On commentary by Michael Cole says that Jesus should win
the intercontinental title. I'm telling you, man, it's it's beneath him.

(03:04:09):
But then who beats him doesn't want to put anybody
over Duff's VIDs. I got tired from my job at
the autocorrect company. I got fried for no reason. Thank you, duffs.
It's a fine way to go out. And Navy forty

(03:04:30):
one eighty one Goldberg's retirement ruined Hogan passing away and
McMahon's car accident. I have one pair of skinny jeans,
and I'm gonna wear them every week just to piss
you off, Big Dave, Big Dave and his skinny jeans
from the Hollywood Batista days. But Navy says Goldberg's retirement

(03:04:53):
ruined Hogan passing away and McMahon's car accident. If I
was on brett shit list, I would apologize pronto. Yeah,
who else does Brett have an issue with? Terence pace Wwe?
The moral high ground has always been Crater Crater? Do

(03:05:14):
I say crater? This is crater? The moral high ground
has always been Crater hm and doctor Scorpio says, with
all this cancel culture stuff, wouldn't Jesus technically be considered
the first victim of cancel culture. I'll show myself out please.

(03:05:36):
Do you're proud of that one too, aren't you? I
could see his smile from a mile away. Goldberg ain't
leaving the house, says Connor. Well, Rollins is doing okay
at least. I don't know if Rollins is on Brett

(03:05:56):
shitless at least not anymore. I think he's okay, but yeah,
I would definitely want to stay on Brett's good side anyway.
Thank you guys for a tremendous stream tonight. I know
we had I don't know. I have somewhere between thirty
five hundred and thirty eight hundred at one point I

(03:06:18):
wasn't looking the entire time. We had a lot of
people in here and a lot of support, a lot
of new subs, a lot of new channel members. So
thank you. I hope you enjoyed these two nights. It's
been a busy weekend. Please hit that like button on
your way out if you have not already done so.
The audio for Night one of SummerSlam the review is
up that went up earlier today, and I will try

(03:06:41):
to get the audio for this out tomorrow. If you
missed episode nine to twenty three. There was a full
ass podcast that went up earlier today, not just talking SummerSlam,
but talking the Vince McMahon car accident and a classic
story from Jim Ross of riding with Vince McMahon, Cody
Rhodes talking about the Bad Blood from his AW departure,

(03:07:06):
talked about that WWE's list of the top twenty five
SummerSlam matches, some other AW stuff as well, so go
check out the podcast as well. I would very much
appreciate that. Be well, stay safe. The next time I'm
live here with you is in less than twenty four
hours because we have the Raw post show tomorrow night,

(03:07:26):
the post SummerSlam edition of Monday Night Raw. So that
is where I will see you back here next. Until then,
take care, guys,
