(00:00):
Hello, and welcome back toSolSocial with Dr.
Makeba and friends.
I'm Dr.
Makeba, your guide on thisjourney of self-discovery and
spiritual awakening.
In today's episode, we're divinginto something we've all
experienced.
That little nudge, that feelingdeep inside that just won't go
away.
You might ignore it, push itaside, or even rationalize it

(00:22):
away, but it's there for areason.
That my friend is the niggle.
Today we're gonna talk aboutwhat it means to trust that
niggling feeling, why it showsup, and how to work with it
instead of against it.
So let's get into it.
We're diving into the importanceof listening to that niggling

(00:43):
feeling deep inside.
The one that keeps calling youtoward change, growth, and
truth.
You know that feeling, thatslight discomfort that shows up
outta nowhere and just sitsthere.
It might be subtle at first, almost like a whisper, but the
more you try to ignore it, thelouder it gets.

(01:07):
That's the niggle, and it's notgoing anywhere until you pay
attention.
That niggle is your innerguidance system.
The part of you that knowssomething isn't quite right or
that something needs to change.
It's that feeling in your gutwhen you're about to make a
decision that doesn't align withwho you are.

(01:28):
It's the discomfort you feelwhen you stay in a situation
that's no longer serving you.
Now I know it's easy to ignorethe niggle.
Life is busy.
Sometimes it's just moreconvenient to keep moving
forward without stopping to dealwith that annoying feeling.
But trust me, the niggle isthere to help you, not hurt you.

(01:51):
It's a signpost that somethingin your life is out of alignment
and it's calling you to takenotice.
We're gonna talk about a fewtools today.
Tool number one.
Tuned into the nickel, the firststep is to stop ignoring it.
When you feel that littlediscomfort creeping up, take a

(02:11):
moment to tune in.
It's not about pushing it awayor distracting yourself, it's
about giving it space.
Here's something simple you cantry when the nickel shows up.
Just pause, close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and ask
yourself, what is this feelingtrying to tell me?
Don't force an answer, just letyour intuition speak.

(02:35):
It might not be clear rightaway, but giving yourself
permission to acknowledge theniggle is the first step to
understanding it.
Tool number two, the body knowssomething we don't talk about
enough.
It's how much wisdom the bodyholds that niggle you're
feeling.
It often shows up in the bodyfirst, long before your mind

(02:58):
catches on.
Maybe you get a knot in yourstomach, some tightness in your
chest, or a restless feeling inyour limbs.
You just can't stay still.
These are all signals from yourbody that something is off.
One of the best ways tounderstand that niggle is to
connect with how it feelsphysically.
Take a moment to scan your bodyfrom the top to the bottom, or

(03:22):
from the bottom to the top.
Where are you holding tension?
What sensations are younoticing?
Sometimes just tuning into thephysical sensations can give you
a clue about what that niggle isreally trying to say.
The body never lies.

(03:42):
It's always trying tocommunicate with us.
Those take time to listen.
Those aches and pains too.
They're trying to tell yousomething.
Listen, rule number three,trust.
The process.
Here's the thing about theniggle.
It often shows up when we are onthe verge of change.

(04:03):
Maybe there's a decision you'vebeen avoiding, a conversation
you've been putting off, or astep you know you need to take
that you haven't.
The niggle is there to remindyou that growth is on the other
side of that discomfort, buttrusting the niggle means
trusting the process.
You don't have to have it allfigured out right away.

(04:24):
You don't have to know everydetail of what's next.
All you need to do is trust thatthis feeling is showing up for a
reason, and that following itwill lead you to where you need
to be.
Start by asking yourself what.
Is one small step I can taketoday to honor this feeling.

(04:44):
It doesn't have to be a biglife-changing decision.
Maybe it's just speaking yourtruth in a conversation or
finally addressing that naggingthought you've been pushing
away.
Whatever it is, start small andtrust that each step will guide
you in the right direction.
Rule number four, letting go ofthe fear.

(05:07):
Let's talk about fear for aminute.
One of the biggest reasons weignore that niggle is fear.
Fear of change, fear of theunknown, fear of making the
wrong decision.
But here's the truth, the niggleisn't something to be afraid of.
It's there to guide you, to helpyou move closer to your true
self.
So instead of letting fear stop, you try reframing it.

(05:30):
What if the niggle isn'tsomething scary, but something
exciting?
What if it's a sign that you'reon the brink of something
beautiful, even if you can't seeit yet?
I want you to try this exercisethe next time you feel the
nickel.
Instead of reacting with fear oranxiety, say this to yourself.

(05:51):
I trust that this feeling isleading me to something better.
I trust that this feeling isleading me to something better.
I trust that this feeling isleading me to something better
repeat it until it feels true.
Over time, you'll start to seethat the niggle isn't your
enemy, it's your greatest ally.

(06:13):
The niggle is always there toguide you.
To remind you that somethingneeds your attention.
It's not fair to make youuncomfortable for no reason.
It's there to lead you togrowth, to alignment to your
next step.
So the next time that feelingcomes up, don't push it away.
Take a moment to tune in.
Listen to your body, trust theprocess, and let go of the fear.

(06:35):
Because when you trust theniggle, you're trusting
yourself, and that's where thereal magic happens.
Remember to listen to that innervoice.
It's always guiding you towardwhat's next.
