Welcome to Sometime Between Dusk and Dawn Ghost Stories. This episode is written and produced by me, Jannette Quackenbush, with folklore drawn from many resources. But there is more than just this podcast. You can buy my book series on Amazon and in bookstores, including one from my newest book and the second in my series, Haunted Hikes of the Appalachian Hills and Hollows which contains ghost stories, legends, and abandoned places from seven different states, including this one from West Virginia along with directions and maps so you can check out the ghost story and perhaps, be scared by the ghost!

In the mid-1700s, Native Americans and settlers fought over the land where Morgantown, West Virginia stands today. . . with horrifying results that left a terrifying ghost behind. And you can visit the site if you dare!

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
