Jess stars as Jin Cheng, a theoretical physicist, in 3 Body Problem, which is about a group of young scientists at Oxford University, who uncover an existential crisis that is about to threaten humanity. Jess opens up about the interview process behind 3 Body Problem, how creators David Benioff, D.B. Weiss and Alexander Woo tried to surprise her with her casting news over zoom but their surprise took a turn.
