ABOUT CJ’S DIARY
CJ’s Diary is an episode where she discusses some of her thoughts from an interview or happenings in the world that may change the way we interact with the stories being told on the podcast. CJ’s Diary will evolve over time and is an opportunity to hear her unabashed thoughts.

ABOUT THIS EPISODE OF SORRY TO HEAR THAT
This week CJ discusses Mother’s Day in CJ’s Diary. It has been almost three years since she lost her mother and preparing for an Instagram takeover with Surviving Our Parents (@survivingourparents) during the next week has inspired some thoughts and ideas about what Mother’s Day, coming on May 15, will look like and feel like. This also comes with acknowledging that sometimes complicated feelings of jealousy, anger, and sadness will come to the forefront, sometimes in situations that don’t make a lot of sense.

MENTIONS
  • CJ brings up that her mom’s story is bigger than just how she died, as explained in Episode 1 called I’m CJ Williams; and
  • CJ mentions what it may have felt to lose a parent for an even longer time than she has, like Marcus & Brenda in Episode 3; and
  • Living life in and cognizant of The Dash, a poem by Linda Ellis, that was a part of CJ’s mother’s memorial program; and
  • The Hallmark commercial reminds you about how we should think about mothers, but also with the traditional “twinkly music”.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
