Sometimes I feel their presence following me within the house
and even outside to hear them more clearly.
I sought out a spiritualist who could assist me in communicating
with my deceased relatives. Once I heard them again, these

spirits that I thought were my family started touching me.
Suddenly, the voices change fromsweet words to screams and
shouts. The dark shadows following me
around the house were no longer my grandfather.

My name is Kathy. I'm 38 years old and I work as a

secretary and my life when I wasa young child, I had a lot of
problems. Since I was nine years old, I
started having like paranormal activities.
I used to see some of my my relatives that had passed away.
So when I was little, I was I was always afraid because once I

used to the dark, like I used togo to bed.
That's when everything's to start.
Like I used to always cry and I told my mom that I couldn't
sleep by myself because I was always seeing spirits.
I was always seeing things that would make me scared and my mom
since then my mom took me to a location and they told her that

they felt as though that I had like a special gift or something
was told to my mom. So every time I used to tell my
mom that I was like afraid and and that you didn't want to go
outside because I felt like thisanxiety since I was young I
always felt like this anxiety inside.
So my mom believed the fact whatthey she was told and she used

to keep me home. So a lot of times I used to get
sick. Every time that we that I used
to get sick, my mom would say something bad is going to
happen. And it became often like that.
I would get fevers and every time things would that I would
feel that way, bad things would happen.
And so when I started growing up, I always kept that fear
inside of me. When I was like 13, I started

dating. I was always dating around.
I started going to clubs at the age of 14.
I was already going to clubs. And due to that, I got into a
relationship that led. I was 17 years old and I got
pregnant. So that's when the depression
totally took over. It took over me completely.
I used to cry every day and thenI had the baby and do with the

baby. I wasn't, I wasn't happy.
It was just it was just worse and worse.
I would drink, I tried drugs. Well, I tried marijuana, I did
ecstasy pills so that I did everything to try to be happy,
but there was nothing that was making me happy.
And I used to get in my car and I used to see myself like I used

to see my car going over the bridge, like I used to already
like see how it was going to be all this happened until I came
to the Universal church. When I came to the Universal
Church, I came on a Friday. And that day, the day that I
came here, it was already different.
Like I, I, the, the service, everything is just, I left from

here already feeling different. My, I felt like a weight was
lifted off of me and and then I just started coming.
I started doing my chain of prayers.
I started coming every Friday. I started coming on set on
Sundays. Then I started fighting for, you
know, my spiritual life, which Igot delivered from that it, I

mean that it was like it happened so quickly at the time,
you know, because it was like I was so desperate that I would, I
was doing everything that I was being told.
God bless me with a brand new car, you know, 0 miles.
And now I'm happily married. Now my oldest daughter, she's 20
years old, God blessed us. She goes to college.
We don't have to pay anything because she had, she received a

scholarship and we don't have topay anything.
My greatest blessing is receiving the Holy Spirit and
that was there. There's no, I can't even that
was the best day, not even when I had my kids, not even there's,
there's nothing that could compare to that day.
I came to church and I said I just like gave it all.
I gave. I just prayed and I just told

God I was like, God, look, I'm exhausted, I'm mentally
exhausted, I'm physically exhausted, but this is what I
want, I said, and I don't care. What's it going to take?
And that Tuesday I received the Holy Spirit, you know, and like
I said, it was like the best thing ever.
Like it was the best thing ever.It was a it was a feeling of
joy. It was like my whole life was

like transformed. Like once I received the Holy
Spirit, it's like I received thenew life completely, completely.
It's like it's just something that you can't really even
explain because it's like so glorious.
It's like, it's such a privilegeto have the Holy Spirit.
It's such a privilege to be ableto serve God.
You know, I just say that the biggest thing is first receive

the Holy Spirit. Once you receive the Holy
Spirit, everything else gets added on to your life.
You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you.
Well, you just saw that she overcame me.

That evil spirit that appeared to be like her relative person
that was dead, she overcame me. You can overcome me as well.
