The night feels longer when the room turns cold, the hallway whispers, and 6 a.m. arrives like a clockwork dread. We open the door on a subject many keep quiet—paranormal night attacks that steal sleep, strain families, and blur the line between dream and waking fear—and we offer straight talk, a living testimony, and a focused path to peace.

Paranormal Activity series. Hi there, may the God of the
Bible bless your life. What is paranormal activity?
It's something that is abnormal, something that is no longer
normal. Like you do not sleep at night.

(01:35):
You have a few hours to sleep, then you wake up.
You feel like somebody is insideof the room.
You have your own bedroom, but it's like you feel the presence
of somebody. You live alone in the house, but
you hear footsteps. It's like the bed is shaking.

(01:57):
Even people who are in prison, they have the same problem
because you feel like the bank is shaking, the bed is shaking,
and in the silence of the night, the silence of the night in
prison, you hear the noises of the chains dragging on the
floor. You hear people screaming,

(02:20):
perhaps somebody that died over there, your bunk, yourself or
just next door. Somebody hanged himself.
Somebody cut his neck, his vein and died.
You saw the person dead. Now it seems like in the night
some evil spirit comes to drag you.

(02:42):
You have the pressure on your chest.
You try to scream like sleep paralysis.
Then you put all the lights and you see nobody over there.
What is that evil spirit? The spirit of the night?

(03:03):
The scripture says in a moment they die.
How many people die while sleeping?
In a moment they die and in the middle of the night people are
shaken and pass the might, or the strong ones are taken away

(03:28):
without a hand. Why without a hand?
Because spirits do not have hands, they are invisible.
You do need deliverance. I want to show to you how do the
spirits work during the night and in a few we are going to
watch the story of this lady of failure because she could not

(03:52):
sleep and an evil spirit was torturing her.
That's what she said. You are going to watch her story
in a few, but right now let me show to you what these the
spirit that attacks during the night even kills people.
The dance of the nights. like the night comes alive.

(04:34):
My family says it's just my imagination, but they don't wake
up every night at 3:00 AM hearing someone cry out to me in
the dark. It happens every night from
midnight until 5:00. By then I'm exhausted, too tired

(04:58):
to work, too tired to think. One sleepless night after
another and soon I can't tell what's real or what's just a
dream. When it's time to wake up, you

(05:35):
did not sleep, you did not rest. You feel like you are under the
attack, Indeed you are. You need to seek spiritual help.

door open, a gateway. The evil spirits enters your

(06:19):
life, your house only to attack you specially during the night.
So you are so worried, you are so concerned about something
they have been attacking you. You wake up with bruises in your
body, scratch. You are even ashamed to tell

(06:41):
somebody because they do molest you.
They messed up your brain. You need spiritual help.
Let us watch the story of failure and I am going to be
right back. There was a bad spirit in my
house living in there 'cause once he was on my in my mom,

(07:06):
'cause I look my mom look at me like a like a she was hating me
and I told my mom, why you why you looking at me like that?
I said, I'm I'm not, I'm just watching TV.
So it was the, the the baddest bit in there.
And then and then we were feeling like at night, I

(07:27):
couldn't sleep. He was like a trying to, he was
torturing me. It wasn't like I tried to, to,
to rape me, no, but just torching me like I couldn't
sleep. My legs, they were hurting me.
It was, it was a nightmare at night.

(07:48):
I, I wish to, to, to be 5 in themorning or 6:00 in the morning
to see the light because I couldn't sleep.
And also it was like a press in my head.
And then when we talking about with my mom in the morning, she
was feeling the same thing. Once he went with was with me,
he was with my mom too. When we invited our friend or my

(08:11):
mom's friend to clean, supposed to be clean the house, she did
with some herbs and then we wentto Burnett.
He says after that he's going back to to hell, I think.
But that herb, everything turnedto a dirt.

(08:31):
Not, not the ash, it was an ash ashes.
No, it was dirt. So we were thinking that it was
OK, that everything was gone, everything was OK.
But no, I was, I, I used to feelwhat I was sitting down, like if
someone was behind me or behind the sofa pushing me like that,

(08:54):
like get out or from there or get up or something like that.
And I say, I was thinking, whereis God?
What I mean, what is it? I was thinking to go to church.
I didn't know which church. And I have an aunt that she
started. She already was at the church,

(09:16):
the university church. And then when we got there,
there was just a pastor and he was very friendly.
And then he did the the service for us.
It was just my aunt, my mom, me and my kids and that's all.
And then when he start praying, put the the hands over me, over

(09:39):
my head, I felt something come out that day.
I didn't before my niece, they were hurting me.
I couldn't but that after that Ididn't feel that.
I felt peace. I felt different.
Well, I started at that time, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays

(10:10):
and Sundays. There were four days, but I
didn't miss Tuesdays and Fridays.
It wasn't easy because I think he she was doing it and doing
it. She couldn't stop doing it
because she was my my daughter'sfather's mother didn't want me

(10:30):
to to see well, she want me dead.
It wasn't easy. It took me a while but I started
feeling with peace changing I everything.
Every feeling bad feeling about my mom it was gone.

(10:51):
After my deliverance I received my the Holy Spirit.
It was amazing how he loved us. Even though I have my problems I
feel peace. I feel the love from him.
Now I'm sure that I have my salvation, but I have him inside

(11:14):
of me. I have the Holy Spirit inside of
me. I'm so happy and I, I think and
I and I keep God, you know, thank you because he sent me to
the church, Universal Church. She's happy, she's free from

of you. We are going to pray right now.

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
