Before sunrise, a quiet sanctuary reminds us of a moment we often rush past—a man crippled for thirty-eight years hears Jesus say, “Rise,” and everything changes. But the real lesson comes after the miracle, when Jesus points him toward a life that protects the healing he just received.

In this episode, we talk about what happens after the breakthrough: how staying close to Jesus turns sudden change into steady growth. We rethink church—not as an emergency room, but as a home base where worship, Scripture, and community form rhythms that keep you whole.

Here on Soul Food Podcast Motivational Mondays with Bishop
Joshua. Hello dear friends, Good
morning. Good morning, God bless your
day. Oh, good afternoon, good
evening. Regardless of the time that you
are watching this message today we are here in the sanctuary of

(00:24):
the church. I don't know if you can see the
time over there. It is still 54543 in the
morning. The lights of the church I still
off. Our next service is going to be

(00:44):
7 in the morning, the first service of the day.
But we came here early in the morning to pray, and the
Scripture says that Jesus healeda man and this man who was

(01:05):
paralytic, you know the story ofthat man.
Jesus met him by the pool, the pool by the the gates of the
city. And there were many sick people.
Many, many, many, many sick people.
And that man was there waiting for an Angel to come down from

(01:29):
heaven to stir up the water. And that man was paralytic,
disabled, handicapped for 38 years.
The Bible says for 38 years thatman was disabled.
You know, just I said, if you want to be made well, do you

(01:54):
want? He said, yes, Lord, I want to be
made well because I said take upyour bed, your your bed and go
home. He stood on his feet for the
first time after 38 years. He took up his bed and he
walked. He went home very well.

(02:16):
But what I want to share with you about this miracle is that
afterwards Jesus found him in the temple after that great
miracle that happened to him. Imagine a man that could not
walk for 38 years. Now that man was found by Jesus.

(02:44):
Where? Over here, over here, over here.
He was found by Jesus in the temple, in the temple.
How many people came to this temple?
I was thinking, praying. The church is empty, nobody's
over here, but how many people have passed in this place?

(03:09):
How many people have come and they have sat down here to hear
the message, the words, the pastors preaching.
They clapped their hands for thetestimonies.
They even got baptized and they left.

(03:30):
It seems like they took their miracles and they put it under
their arms and they left. Well, the House of God cannot be
for us like a restaurant. Do you go to the restaurant
every day? No.
But when you are hungry, you go there like a person that goes to

(03:56):
ER emergency room because he's sick.
But nobody that is fine, that iswell, goes to the ER, right?
But the House of God cannot be for us.
Places like this, like a grocerystore, that you go there to buy

(04:17):
food and then you leave. No, the House of God is open
every day and we have to be found by Jesus in the temple.
In the temple. When was the last time you came
to church? How often you come to church?
Maybe you come some days or whenyou feel like, no, especially

(04:40):
Sunday is the Lord's day, Wednesday is the night of
salvation, Friday for deliverance.
I don't mean to come to church every day.
You have your daily tasks right, but the more you come, the
closer you are going to be with Jesus.
Let me get the Bible, because Jesus told that man, he said

(05:12):
afterward Jesus found him in thetemple and said to him, See, you
have made well, you are healed, see no more, lest a worst thing
come upon you, so see no more. In other words, leave your old

(05:35):
life behind. See no more, stay here in the
temple, because if you go back to your old life, remember that
you were a paralytic for 38 years, 38 years.
Now that you are made well, you are healed.
Stay with me, stay in the temple, do not sing, do not live

(05:57):
a life of sin, do not go back tothe old life.
Otherwise, worst thing will happen to you.
What could be worse for him thanto be paralyzed for 38 years?
But as I said, sing no more. Live a clean life.
Stay here with me. The doors of the Universal
Church are open every day and you are our special guest.

(06:23):
And maybe you say I have backslided.
I'm no longer in the temple, in the Kingdom, I mean no longer in
the presence of God. Come as soon as possible because
the Lord is waiting for you. Share this message with a friend
of yours. God bless you.
The temple is available for you.
