Satan doesn't appear with horns and a pitchfork—he whispers lies directly to your spirit. Bishop Joshua takes us deep into the wilderness temptation of Jesus, revealing how the enemy operates not through physical manifestation but through spiritual influence, targeting our most vulnerable moments.

"The love you're looking for won't come from a club, boyfriend, or family," Wilma shares. "The only love that fills every void comes from surrendering completely to God."
Whether you're struggling to identify deceptive voices in your life or seeking the peace that comes through God's Spirit, this episode provides practical guidance for navigating spiritual warfare. Join us as Bishop Joshua continues this vital series on how we can recognize when the enemy uses those closest to us. Share this episode with someone battling unseen spiritual forces in their life.

will feed your soul. A faith-based podcast that will
nourish your mind, body and soul.
Listen here with your main host,Bishop Barrett Joshua.

(00:23):
Don't let your soul go hungry. It's time for.
Soul food. Hello dear friend is may the
Lord Jesus bless your life together once again with our
series the voice of Satan. Don't talk to Satan.

(00:45):
Don't waste your time talking tothe devil and he's not going to
appear to you physically. He is spirit, evil spirit,
unclean spirit. The scripture says that Satan
when Jesus was fasting, he appeared and he said then the

(01:10):
devil said to him, to Jesus, allthis authority I will give you,
and their glory, for this has been delivered to me.
So Satan is the father of lie orlies.
Satan used that moment that Jesus was hungry, fasting and he

(01:37):
brought his life and how many times Satan comes to you and
bring his lies? I know that some movies,
cartoons shows Jesus on the mountain and show a character
like a demon, but in that case sat appeared to Jesus in spirit

(02:04):
talking to him in his mind, but Jesus was in spirit and that
Satan said all authority I'll give you for this has been
delivered to me and I give I give it to whoever I wish that

(02:26):
was a scam. Satan brought this trap to
Jesus. Therefore if you you wash me all
will be yours. Just wash me, all will be yours
and Jesus said get behind me Satan, for this is written you

(02:51):
shall worship the Lord your God and him only you shall serve you
see in that moment Satan wanted Jesus to transfer his worship,
his obedience from the Father God to him himself.

(03:12):
But Jesus was there. Remember fasting he was in
spirit. Tomorrow I'm going to talk about
Peter because the same God said here to Satan, He said to Peter,
gets behind me, Satan. He identified the voice of the

(03:37):
devil. You needed to identify who is
speaking to God, to you, God or the devil.
Jesus identified his voice and he said get behind me Satan.
He said the same to Peter. When Peter spoke, he used by the
dev. So when SATA comes with his

(03:57):
lies, say I have authority to give you this, to give you that
your blessing comes from the Lord.
Especially when SATA use the people to say why not?
It's not like that. Don't be so serious about your
religion. Don't be so serious about your
church. You always in church, church,

(04:19):
church, church, church. You are a church person.
These are the lies of the devil, the lies of the devil.
First of all, you are not serious about a religion, about
the church. You are serious about the word
of God. Don't hear the voice of the

(04:40):
devil. Jesus on the mountain was in
spirit only. If we are in spirit we identify
the voice of the devil and deep inside of us we have to say
Satan you are tied up in Jesus name.
I will listen to the Lord only. All right, be the God of the

(05:02):
Bible. Bless you.
Tomorrow we are going to talk about Peter when he was used by
the devil. God bless you.
Thank you for listening here on Soul Food Podcast.

(05:24):
Stay tuned to listen to a real life story, make sure you don't
miss it and share with your friends and family.
We'll be right back. When I was a year and a half, my

(06:22):
mom passed away. I didn't have like all kids had
a normal childhood. I didn't have that.
I was molesting. But he was like a Deacon in the
church. They used to preach on the
altar, his molestation. It wasn't like to say
intercourse, but he would fill me up.
Like you touch my private parts and stuff like that.

(06:43):
Like you'd come and say, oh, you're coming to wake me up in
the morning and he'll touch my private part and stuff.
But the physical abuse, like sexually was a friend of the
family. And then I went to my dad and I
told him and he turned back and did it to me.
And I did hold that grudge for years.

(07:04):
I was told that I was ugly. I was told that I would never be
nothing in life, that nobody would ever care about me.
Once I was a teenager I try and kill myself 2 times.
I was crying, I took a whole thing of pills, I swallow it but
for some reason I slept for like2 days straight.
Nobody know nothing. The second time I did it, my son

(07:25):
was about 3 or 4 months. I was like 18 and his father no,
and his father made me vomited out.
I was fed up with the situation.I could, I feel like I couldn't
take no more because there was Icouldn't, there's nobody that I
could have talked to. I at one point I thought my aunt
was my mom, but the way they were treating me, that's why I'm
like, oh, she treated all the kids, you know, better.

(07:46):
Maybe because I'm a different father because I didn't know my
mom. I thought she was my mother.
So I went to my father and I wasasking and nobody couldn't give
me a straight answer. So then I was like, oh, so
that's why I'm getting treated the way that I'm getting treated
because I don't have a mom. I used to go to, but I never
know. Like, OK, the way we know God
now, I did not know that God wasGod at that time.
I hear about him. I we read about him.

(08:08):
They talk about him in the church, but there's nobody to
say, oh, they'll break it down to you about the I didn't even
know about the Holy Spirit untilI started coming to the
universal Church. When I came to the Universal
Church, I spoke to the pastor and his wife and, you know, we

(08:31):
used to have counseling and theyused to counsel me and
everything. And then they talked to me about
the chin of prayer that I used to go seven days a week to the
chin of prayer, Monday, Tuesday,Wednesday, Tuesday, Friday,
Saturday, Sunday, just to fight for my life because I had, let
me tell you, it was a lot on me.So now going there, talking to
the pastors, their wives, you know, help me to overcome that

(08:56):
pain, that resentment, that anger that I had.
I learned how to forgive, which was the first thing I called my
father. Tell him that I forgive him.
The people that did hurt me in the past, after I spoke to my
father, which was of my first call, I called everybody else
that I had their number. I couldn't find their number to
tell them that I forgive them. I'm no longer holding any
bridges, and I often ask God to forgive them for what they did.

(09:20):
Then after that, I realized I don't get upset.
Like if somebody bump into me orwhatever, I don't get upset like
I used to. So that's how I realized, OK,
there's a change in me. The pastors were talking about
the Holy Spirit going to serviceevery Wednesday evening at 7:00
PM, every Sunday morning at 10, seeking for the Holy Spirit.
I didn't get the Holy Spirit right then and then I still was

(09:40):
fighting for the Holy Spirit, still doing my chin of prayers.
And 1:00 Saturday morning, I wassitting in the church.
We had service in the morning. I'm sitting there.
Pastor said pray, you know, do your prayers, seek for the Holy
Spirit. I put my nails down and I
actually, I did pray. I really stick for the Holy
Spirit and I'm like, I need yourpresence now more than I ever

(10:02):
did. I need you inside of me.
I need your guidance. I need your protection.
I need your spirit to live in mebecause the person that I was, I
don't want to be that person I want to be.
I want to be born again. I want to be baptized with the
Holy Spirit. And I'm there and I'm like, OK,
whilst I'm praying, I feel that joy.
So I was like laughing and crying at the same time.

(10:25):
And when we finished praying past, the pastor, look at me and
he's like, oh, Miss Walmer, he'slike how you feel?
And he's laughing and I'm laughing and I'm crying.
Holy Spirit came up on me and I was like the best thing ever,
the best feeling ever. I cannot never forget this date.
That's the best comfort, the best blanket, the best security,

(10:45):
the best of everything that you could ever receive, the best
gift of life, that joy that I had, that peace I, I received
that day, It stays in me. No one cannot take it away from
me. No one cannot.
No one has nothing to do with itbetween me and God and it stays
inside of me forever. I'm a changed person.

(11:05):
I'm a born again person. No more anger, no more feeling
suicidal thoughts, no more yelling, cursing, screaming,
fighting. None of that.
The love that you're looking for, you're not going to get it
in the club. You're not going to get it from
a boyfriend, you're not going toget it from your family.
You're not going to get it from your friends.
The only love that you're going to receive is the Holy Spirit.

(11:27):
You're going to get that from God.
Surrender your life to God and give it.
Give Him your all and He will return back to you.
