The transformative power of spiritual renewal takes center stage as Bishop Joshua explores life's most fundamental truth: "Without Jesus, we can do nothing." Through powerful testimony and biblical wisdom, this episode illuminates how our attempts to find fulfillment through relationships, career success, or material possessions ultimately leave us empty when pursued without spiritual connection.
Witness Lisette's extraordinary journey from darkness to light.
The message resonates with crystal clarity: no past is too broken, no sin too great for Jesus to transform. Whether you consider yourself beyond redemption or feel the void of meaninglessness, the Holy Spirit is available to fill your life with purpose. Contact us directly at 1-888-312-4141 for prayer or guidance—your journey toward lasting peace begins with a simple step of faith.

Quench your spiritual hunger. Give the food that lasts forever
here on the Soul Food Podcast. Hello dear friend, this once
again together with the naked truth.
And the truth is without Jesus we cannot do anything.

(01:06):
He was the one who said without me you can do nothing.
I am fully aware and you too. How many things you have tried
to do without Jesus. Hey, hey, listen to me.
How many things you have tried to do without Jesus?
You tried to be married, to be happy without Jesus.

(01:29):
Your marriage came to nothing. You tried your career, your
business, relationships, everything that you tried
without Jesus came to nothing, but with him we can make it.
And maybe you ask me, who is Jesus, Where is Jesus?

(01:51):
How can I know Jesus? I want you to view right now
where Jesus is, who is Jesus, what he does get to know, and we
are going to show to you in a few the case of Lisette, she did
not know who Jesus was, but now she knows.

(02:11):
Do you know who the Lord Jesus is?
For the blind man, he's light. For the starving, he's the bread
of life. For the thirsty, he's the
fountain of living water. For the sick, he's healing.

(02:36):
For the lonely, he's a faithful friend.
For the accused, he's a lawyer. For the lost, he's the savior.
For the wandering, he's the way.For the deceived, he's the

(02:57):
truth. For the dead, he is life.
The Lord Jesus is everything. That's right, He is everything
that you need. I'm not talking about a
religion, a church, a denomination, a past.

(03:19):
I'm talking about the Lord JesusChrist, our Heavenly Father,
that He wants to be with you regardless of who you are or
what you have done. You can make it.
This young lady, Lisette, she was molested, yes, for two
years. For two years she was molested,

(03:43):
abused, and as a result, she became a rebellious person.
In this ministry, we do not criticize, we do not charge
anybody. We are willing to help
everybody. You know why?
Because we do not know the background, the past or what

(04:04):
this person went through. Like this young lady Lisette
came to the church and we did not know what was going on in
her life. Only when she came, she got
free. Now she's testify usually we
don't go into people's business,people's privacy.
No, we pray and we pray to the word.

(04:27):
So I say come as you are. We are not going to judge you,
but we are going to help you. What a case.
And in a few I'm going to talk about the water.
Can you please prepare a bottle of water or a glass of water?
Can you, can you OK, Fine. Prepare it.
Leave then near your computer, your device.

(04:51):
Because in a few. I'm going to talk about this
water. Are you thirsty?
Are you thirsty? Stay with me.
Do not go away. I am going to talk about this
water. If you need the spiritual help,
you are going to send me a text.My text message is appearing
right now on your screen. That's right.

(05:11):
This is my text number 1-888-312-4141.
I have here the device and I keep my device always with me
and I also pray with this device.
I receive many texts and I pray with the device.

(05:31):
I pray on the altar of the church.
For those who send the text, send the text or if you prefer
to talk to a pastor right now, you can call US 1-888-332-4141.
Watch the story of the set. Everything for me began when I
was at the age of 7. At the age of seven I was

(05:55):
sexually abused by a family member and that went on for
about two years. At first I didn't know what was
going on. I thought it was a game because
that, that's what the person hadtold me that we were playing a
game, you know, so at the age of7, a lot of kids are very
innocent. It then came to me that it

(06:17):
wasn't right. Like I said, two years.
It, it went on for two years. That's when it kind of hit me
that it, this wasn't normal because afterwards I was feeling
very, very, very sad. Instead, I was, it was just so
much pain, so much hurt that I had and it was just kind of a
secret. That's what the person had said,
that it was just a our secret. So I couldn't tell anybody.

(06:39):
So it was just to the point where I felt like I needed to do
something about it. So that's when I just, this
whole thing had happened at school, where I was at school
where he then tried to come pickme up early from school.
But the moment that I had seen him, I had start to cry.
So that's when I was called in to the principal's office and
the nurse starts asking questions.

(06:59):
And that's when CPS then became involved and CPS then of course
talked to my parents and my parents told them that I was
lying, that it was just that I was make probably making
something up like that just for attention.
Everything just began began to get really worse.
I was very traumatized. I couldn't stand people being
next to me, around me. I just, I was so scared.

(07:21):
I was scared to be alone. And throughout the years,
because of what had happened when I was young, I didn't want
to talk to my mom. My mom to me wasn't was dead to
me. She wasn't my mother because the
action that she chose to make wasn't something a mother would
do. So to me, I had no mom.
I then began to get involved with people at school.

(07:44):
I was introduced to weed. I was introduced to games.
I was introduced to a lot of a lot of things.
And for me, that was something that attracted me because in a
way I was important to those people that I was hanging around
with. And that's when I began to go
out to clubs, partying. I began to be with a lot of
guys. I was doing a lot of things with
other guys just because I loved having that attention.

(08:08):
Like I said before that I didn'thave that attention at home.
I then began to sneak outside the house.
I was doing whatever I wanted. Basically.
My parents had no idea what was going on because I never gave
them that door to even talk to me.
They couldn't talk to me becauseit was always yelling.
I basically did whatever I wanted.
I would come homely, I would come drunk, I would jump outside

(08:32):
of the window, I would get in fights when I was doing all that
stuff. And then I came home by myself
in my house. I was so sad.
I had put on this fake smile when I was with everybody, but
when it was just me by myself inmy room, I was always very sad.
It got so bad to then I began tobe suicidal.
I then tried suicide three times.

(08:53):
The first times, the first timeswere just cutting, you know, to
kind of relieve some of the pain.
The second time I had a cousin of mine that told me that
everything would be better if I were to just drink some pills.
I drink the pills. Nothing happened to me.
I just couldn't stand everythinganymore, which I would say was
my breaking point. I went out and I went out for a
jog and I remember I went into abusy street where there was a

(09:17):
bunch of cars coming and I threwmyself in front of a car.
The car did not hit me. It swerved and it burned tired,
but it did not hit me. And I just remember that person
got out of the car and started yelling at me and saying that I
was crazy. And in that moment, I think the
words of every, the words of that person kind of woke me up

(09:37):
because I remember that I got home and I started to cry and I
said, wow, like what's going on with me?
You know, like I really am crazyand you know, I began to cry and
I just, I couldn't stand it anymore and I prayed and I said,
God, please help me. I need your help.
I can't do this alone. If I keep doing this, I'm going
to end up being dead. I need you to help me.

(09:59):
And that was when I did my prayer and I went to sleep.
At that time, my parents were already attending the Universal
Church due to my father having abrain tumor and just having
three months to live. Thankfully, my father was able
to be completely cured of this brain tumor, and I was able to
see the difference in their lives that I wanted, that same

(10:19):
difference in my life. And that's when I decided to
come. I decided to come and
participate. And I remember it was a
Wednesday night and I remember that I came and I had felt peace
once I came in, I participated with the service.
And this piece was so beautiful and something that hadn't felt
ever in my life. And I remember that I said I
came here in this place and nobody's going to Take Me Out.

(10:41):
This is the place where God's going to help me change and take
this emptiness, take this hatredout of me.
Participating on Fridays. I was also delivered from
traumas, from depression, from the hatred of my family and also
from the alcohol use and from the, the drug use that I, I had.
I also then began to participateof Sundays, which was also a

(11:02):
huge blessing for me because Sundays was a Family Day and
through those Sundays, my familywas able to be restored
participating of the services, participating of Wednesdays.
One night the pastor was talkingabout the Holy Spirit and how we
needed the Holy Spirit in order for us to survive everything in
our lives. And I remember that I prayed to

(11:23):
God and I said, God, I never want to be apart from your
presence. I never want to go back to the
old me. I never want to go back to that
person that was traumatized, hatred, always angry at the
world. I don't want to ever go back.
And I understood that in order for me to never go back was for
me to receive the Holy Spirit. And I began to seek the Holy

(11:46):
Spirit. The pastor said to do seekings,
do fastings. I began to do everything that I
was going to remain until the very end.
And that's what I wanted. And I participated and I seek
with all my heart on a Wednesdaynight and I was able to receive
the Holy Spirit. When I received the Holy Spirit,
it was the most happy day of my life.
I have never been so happy. I felt so much peace, but it was

(12:09):
different kind of peace because I knew that God was with me.
I knew that God was inside of meand I knew that I was that he
was never going to leave me. Today, my life is a huge
blessing. I'm a person that wants to live,
that always has a smile on her face, has no more hatred
whatsoever. I love my mom.

(12:31):
We have a best friend relationship.
She's somebody that I can count on.
My whole household is just it's just so much peace.
I'm telling you that there is a solution to your problem, and
that solution is you coming and participating in the Universal
Church and seeking for God. Did you notice that Lisette,

(12:55):
before she received the Holy Spirit, she was doing drugs,
partying, rebellious, But when she received the Holy Spirit, we
can see the change in her life, the change in her face, in her
eyes. I'm not talking about the look

(13:16):
or makeup, but the splendor, theshining of the Holy Spirit in
her face. You'll see, you don't see any
beariness, depression, frustration, sadness.
No, you'll see the shining of Jesus Spirit because this is how

(13:39):
it goes. What you have inside of you
reflects outside on your face. If you are angry bearer,
depressed, you have this sick face, pale face, frustrated
face, because it comes from inside.

(14:01):
But if inside you are lighter, you have light, you are free.
All my friends, this is what people see.
They see they splendor off the Spirit of God.
Now let me explain it to you about the water.

(14:22):
Look here, please. This water is for the thirst of
our throats, our body. We all need to drink water,
right? Very well, but the Lord Jesus
was before the well, there came a woman to draw water, to take

(14:44):
some water from there, and Jesussaid to her, whoever drinks of
this water, which water, the water that she was there to
take, see what the Scripture says, whoever drinks of this
water will thirst again. This water is the water that

(15:09):
Lizette was drinking Paris drugs, alcohol.
She drank of this water, but shewas always thirsty.
Let me put it this way, you havethis alcoholism problem, drug
addiction. You are always going to Paris

(15:29):
because you needed to meet people, to feel good, to have
good times. Always you need more.
You go to one party, then you goto another one.
You drink 1 alcohol, then you have to drink another one,
another drink and another drink. And you need to smoke one

(15:54):
cigarette, 2 cigarette. Then you go to marijuana, then
you go to crack cocaine, heroin. You always looking for something
strong, like a strong dose, but as you know you are always
thirsty. But once you receive the Holy
Spirit. See now what Jesus said, talking

(16:16):
about himself, talking about theHoly Spirit.
But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never
thirst, will never thirst. This water Jesus was talking
about is not the liquid, the natural water is Stillwater.

(16:38):
But he was talking about His Spirit, the Holy Spirit.
When you receive the Holy Spirityou are going to be free and He
is available for you. And maybe you say I am a Sinner,
meet you. You say I don't deserve hey,
hey, nobody deserves the Holy Spirit.

(16:59):
Just needed to find someone that's seeking Him, someone that
is sincere. It helps.
You are likely that or even worse, you are a prostitute, a
drug dealer, homosexual. You are the worst person on
earth. Very well Jesus is calling you
the way you are. He is going to clean, wash your

(17:21):
past. He did follow that and he's
going to pour the new Spirit andyou shall thirst.
Never, never again. The Universal Church is open
every single day. However, Wednesday in the
evening and the Sundays in the morning.

(17:42):
We are there seeking the Holy Spirit.
However, do not be limited for two days.
The Holy Spirit is available every single day.
Don't stop listening. Soul food has more to feed you.
You are listening to soul food with Bishop Joshua.

(18:03):
We'll be right back. There's never been a moment you
were forgotten. You were in that whole place.
You have been broken or innocent.
Stolen. I hear you whisper underneath

(18:26):
your breath. I hear your ass always.
Your ass always. I will send out an army to fight

(18:48):
in the middle of the darkest night.
It's true. I will rescue you.
There is no distance. They cannot be covered.
Over and over. You're not defenceless.

(19:13):
I'll be your shelter. I'll be your armor.
I hear you whisper underneath your breath.

(19:41):
send out an army to find you in the middle of the darkest night

(20:38):
Spirit, and He's going to fill your heart, fill your soul.
I want you to get this cup of water wherever you may be.
Let us pray together. Close your eyes.
It's now the moment of prayer. Let us talk to God.

(21:01):
Here I am in this moment. Of prayer so despise.
Oh my Lord and my Father, there are a lot of people praying with
me right now whose life is meaningless.

Empty void. They try to put a mask, a real
mask. There are people that liked a
lot. They liked a lot.
But she wants to hide the sadness, the beatiness on her

(22:12):
face. Oh Lord my God, my Father, but I
pray to you right now and I ask always, Spirit of the divine
God, answer our prayers. Answer my Lord, our voice and
let disperse right now. Rise high and above coming, my
