Our “Queerly I Do” series is our look at what is going on in the world of gay marriage or LGBTQ weddings, with a southern twist. This episode we talk a little about the politics of same-sex marriage, including the history of how southern states legislatures tried to prevent queer marriage from taking place. Our special guest is Mr. Greg Bourke. He, and his husband, Michael De Leon, were the lead plaintiffs in the Kentucky federal case that was a part of the  historic Obergefell v. Hodges case.

We’d like to give a special thanks to Greg Bourke for talking to us. His book, Gay, Catholic, and American: My Legal Battle for Marriage Equality and Inclusion, available for pre-order now.
