, you know and I actually justgot a new shipment because I
went through my first one, sojust got the new one and I
(01:42):
actually am fine with the, withthe, the taste.
Now I'm fine.

your daily vitamin c and d perbottle.
So it's 100 safe um and it'snot a coffee replacement.

(02:28):

Next you will hear theconclusion of the touch that
(02:51):
heals discovering reflexology'shidden power.
All right, I'll be right back.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
Well, I'm going to
ask this question because I deal
with epilepsy, and so I wascurious on how could touch
therapy, reflexology, help withepilepsy um, I love that
(03:30):
question.
That's it, yeah because I,because you, I um take, I'm on
so many type of differentmedications.
Sure, I'm on zanacemide and I'mon Lamotrigine, but the side
effects of those medications oneof them, which I actually
(03:51):
talked about in an Instagrampost that I posted on my page
was short-term memory loss, andthat was one of the things that
my neurologist she told me thatwas going to happen.
Because of that, the medicationthat I had to take, and it was
(04:19):
a thing of either I take thismedication and control the
seizures or I have to have brainsurgery, you know, and that was
just like oh yeah, I went tohave the brain surgery.
So I elected just to, you know, continue to take the medication
.
So I was trying to figure outis there a way to touch, you
know, reflexology?
How can that?
Could that?
Speaker 3 (04:38):
help.
Think about it.
When you're talking aboutepilepsy, you're talking about
the nervous system.
You're talking about the nerveendings that are doing what?
Overworking.
They're overworking, whichmeans they're never stopping,
(04:59):
and when they're overworking,what happens?
All of a sudden, you go into aseizure, and so what allopathic
medicine looks at?
We got to stop the overworking, but what's causing the
overworking of the nerve endings?
(05:21):
That's not what's beingaddressed, so, which means that
you have to be what?
In a calm state.
We got to calm you down.
We got to show you how to relax, and once we can get you in a
state of relaxation, now whatcan we do?
(05:44):
We can now look at what is itthe nervous system is in need of
, what is it asking you for inorder for it to get back to its
normal state?
Wow so when we're talking aboutreflexology and I say relieving
pain first.
(06:04):
What I want you to understand Idon't care whatever the illness
is that you're diagnosed with.
The body will never heal itself, no matter what medication
you're on, no matter whattherapy you're on, no matter
what treatment you're doing, until it's in a state of rest
(06:24):
and relaxation.
And if the body is not in astate of rest and relaxation, it
will never be able to healitself.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
And because we live
in what a stress-intensified
lifestyle that our eyes areseeing, we get caught up in that
.
And what is that doing?
It's tripping us up, mm-hmm,and it's creating illnesses that
don't necessarily have to be apart of our life.
(07:00):
When we understand the healingpower of touch that each and
every one of us has in our hands.
And let me give you an exampleof what I mean when I say that.
Everybody listening, at somepoint in time in your life you
(07:21):
have done reflexology and youhave received reflexology, and
you don't know that you have.
And it goes all the way back toas a child, or either you as a
parent doing this to a child.
It's called this little piggy, and if you remember that, this
(07:43):
little piggy went to the marketand this little piggy stayed
home and you're turning thelittle toes backward and forward
and all of the nerve endings toyour head are in your fingers
and in your toes and just byactivating those nerve endings
it relaxes the whole body.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
And that right.
There is the process, and ifyou think about it as it relates
to a baby, the baby maybe startgiggling and feeling a little
happy, or if the baby's realhyper and needs to calm down,
it'll start calming down.
If the energy level is low, itcan elevate it.
So what we're talking about isusing the power inside your
(08:30):
hands to bring about relief fromthe stress that is overworking
the nerve endings in terms ofbeing able to communicate with
the brain most effectively inrelieving pain and stress.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
It's a part of our
makeup.
This is who we are as a people.
We are a touching people andbecause of the pandemic, we have
all of a sudden gotten awayfrom that which sustains us and
my unscientific study as itrelates to being in lockdown
(09:17):
because of the pandemic.
Most of the people who madetransition probably made that
transition because of the factthat they were not able to
experience the touch in somekind of way from their loved
ones, from their friends, fromtheir family.
(09:38):
And touch does not have to beanything physical.
It could just be me being ableto see you, just to see a smile
on your face, just to hear yousay a kind and loving word.
That's touch and that's healing.
That's how you bring abouthealing.
Speaker 2 (09:59):
Wow, I know you were
saying that we were living in a
stressful type world and it'shard for us to stay in a state
of calm.
So what advice would you giveto my listeners to help them
stay in a state of calm?
Speaker 3 (10:20):
The first thing I'm
going to say is you're going to
have to give value to who youare.
Okay, you're going to have togive value to who you are.
Okay, you're going to have togive value to yourself.
And when I say give value, you're going to have to see your
body as being one of two thingsIs your body a warehouse, where
(10:44):
you just store stuff and justthrow in there, or is your body
a temple, something sacred andprecious?
If it's sacred and precious, the first gift you're going to
give to yourself is I love you.
You're going to love yourself, and when I say this, what I'm
(11:05):
saying is you are not the titlesor the labels that's given to
you.
That's not who you are.
The only label that you own, that belongs to you is your name
and the reason why that labelis so important because behind
that label there's a story, there's something sacred behind
(11:30):
the name that you hold.
That's the only label that youhave, and when you understand
and start accepting that as whoyou are, that's where you start
beginning the journey of takingback control of your life from
all of the pain and stress thatexists according to what our
(11:51):
eyes are seeing, because youhave to become, when you
understand yourself in the formof really loving who you are and
understanding that you are, that you see your body as a
temple and something sacred.
You must remember that whatyour eyes see is not real.
What your eyes see is only adelusion.
(12:14):
Because you are in a spirit andbecause you are a spirit, you
are at the highest manifestationof who you are created to be.
Because that's who you are andthat's who we are, as the people
we were created to be,understand that we have been
(12:39):
through so much and becausewe've been through so much, we
are I'm going to change thisword we are seen as being
traumatized, but the traumatizedthat we are seen as being does
(13:00):
not define who we are and theexperiences that we're going
through, because all that'shappened to us, no matter what
it is, it's nothing but a lifelesson that we have to learn.
And once we learn that lifelesson, just like life changes,
(13:21):
you get a new one.
That's all it is.
It's called an evolution.
That's all it is.
It's called an evolution.
So, whatever illness that youmay have, understand that it's
(13:42):
nothing but a life lesson, experience that you are going
through, and if you trustyourself, you trust who you are.
You believe in who you are.
You'll get through this withflying colors, and that's what
you want.
That's where you begin.
You begin by impact, becausecan't nobody empower you and
can't nobody heal you but you.
(14:03):
You are your own healer, andthat's where healing begins.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
Wow, amen, wow, that
is amazing, wow, wow.
So I am going to shift gears alittle bit and going to ask you
this question real quick.
(14:32):
So how do you see holisticwellness integrating with
traditional health care systems, traditional health care system.
Speaker 3 (14:45):
It can integrate very
well when you understand your
body.
And when you understand yourbody, you're understanding from
(15:06):
the standpoint of making thechoices of how you want to
receive your healing and from aholistic approach.
It's also cultural.
See, this is another thing.
When we start talking aboutalternative healing, we have to
look at who we are culturally.
And culturally we are hands-onhealing people and that's the
(15:30):
healing that heals us.
And when we talk about it fromthe standpoint of conventional
medicine, conventional medicinedismisses the cultural
connection, but the culturalconnection is crucial for us as
a people in our healing process.
And when we understand andaccept our healing power based
(15:53):
on the power of touch, it willbe an easy integration.
Because, think about it, If youif I'm going to deal with it,
say I'm going to deal with fromwhat's defined as the spiritual
essence, Back in the day youwould go to church and when you
went to church they had what wascalled the laying on of hands.
(16:16):
The laying on of hands isnothing but an alternative form
of using the power of touch toheal.
It's the same concept.
If it worked in the church withthe laying on hands, the same
thing will work with you If yourmother, your father, your best
friend, your cousin does alaying on of hands, it's the
(16:40):
same concept.
Speaker 2 (16:43):
It's the same concept
?
Yeah, yeah, that's true.
That's true.
Have you faced resistance fromthe medical community in
reference to your holisticwellness approach?
Speaker 3 (17:01):
I'm a rebel rouser so
I could care less.
I'm at the point in my liferight now where it doesn't
really matter, because mymission is to be about helping
to empower people with analternative, and it's a choice.
(17:22):
People make a choice to choosethe alternatives and if they
choose the alternatives, I'mhere to help you find that
practitioner who will do thatfor you.
If you choose to deal withconventional medicine and you
just maybe want to test thewaters for the alternatives, I'm
here for that.
I mean, I don't tell anybodystop taking your medication.
(17:47):
I don't tell anybody not to seeconventional medicine practices
.
The thing that I'm seeing is,use the power that you have, be
in control of your healingprocess.
I'm your ambassador, I'm yourcheerleader for you being in
control of the way that youselect to heal your mind, your
(18:09):
body and your spirit from aholistic approach.
Right.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
Now, um, as we kind
of wrap up, so can you share
some simple reflexologytechniques for listeners that
they can use, I guess, like intheir everyday lives, that
they're dealing with some typeof pain or anything like that
nature.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
I'm going to show you
if you can see my hand.
The first thing you're going todo, you're going to take your
thumb and you're going to dowhat's called a walking.
All you're doing is bendingyour thumb.
It's a walking technique.
You're going to put your thumbon the, on the palm of your
hands, starting at your wrist, and all you're going to do is
(19:05):
walk up the palm.
Go down the palm, walk up andyou're moving toward the base of
your fingers or the palm ofyour hand.
Now, you don't know the exactreflex point area, and that's
not important.
What you're doing is activatingthe nerve endings to be about
relaxing you, putting you in astate of rest and relaxation so
you can calm yourself.
You do this on the palm.
(19:27):
You also do it walking each ofyour fingers.
You can walk.
As you do it on the palm, youcan do the same thing on the
back of your hand, and allyou're doing is walking.
When you do this, the one thingyou want to remember to always
do is take a deep breath, breathe in and then breathe out.
(19:50):
While you're doing this, asyou're doing this, if your
energy level is high and needsto come down, it will bring it
down.
If your energy level is low andyou need to be elevated up, it
will do this.
Because what you're doing andjust get in the habit, no matter
where you are, just startwalking.
If you start feeling reallyhyper or you start feeling tense
(20:12):
, just go to the palm of yourhand and just start walking, get
in the habit of walking andbreathing, walking and breathing
.
And what you're doing is I'mrelaxing, I'm releasing, I'm
letting go of the tightness, I'mletting go of the tension, I'm
bringing a stress-free feelingto my mind, to my body, to my
(20:37):
spirit, as you're walking thepalm of your hands.
That's an empowerment movementand that's something basic.
You can teach this to youngpeople and get them to start
doing this to you, because nowwe got an exchange, we got an
energy exchange going on.
That makes it even morepowerful and that's what I do
(20:59):
with my clients.
When they come to me, what I dofirst is I give them the first
tool of touch, which islistening.
I listen to them talk abouttheir pain problem, because what
I'm listening for is because Iwant to find out where the
stress is.
When I find out the stress nowwe move to the reflexology.
(21:21):
And when I work with them.
I do like maybe a series offive.
I teach them how they can dothe reflexology for their
particular health problem ontheir hands and on their feet.
After that, we've now been ableto calm down and relieve the
pain.
Now they're open to looking ata treatment plan, which means
(21:44):
now we're going to put theintegrative approaches of the
various therapies that toaddress what is the cause of
that pain problem.
So my suggestion to everyonelistening as we come to the
conclusion, what I want to leavewith your audience to
understand, is that you want tobe in control of what you do to
(22:13):
heal yourself, and the firstthing that you need to do, there
are two very powerful healingwords that you need to always
remember to say each and everyday, and it's called being in
(22:36):
gratitude.
Being in gratitude, and the twomost powerful healing words are
thank you.
When you wake up in the morning, wake up giving thanks, thank
(22:57):
the universe for this new daythat you are blessed to receive,
no matter what goes on.
Give thanks, then, what youwant to do, you want to
understand that, no matter whatis going on, know that it is the
power of touch that heals all.
(23:19):
And when you understand thatyou're now taking your steps,
slowly but surely, to empoweryourself, to become your own
healer.
Wow, and that's the concept youwant to deal with.
(23:40):
And before I leave, I want toshare with you.
In the African tradition, whenyou visit somebody's home for
the first time, you bring a gift, and I have a gift for you and
your listeners and that gift isI have created gift for you and
(24:01):
your listeners, and that gift isI have created what is called a
medication-free pain and stressrelief poster that you can
download.
All you do is go totouchologyreflexologycom and
download the poster and it willshow you some various techniques
(24:25):
and various practices on how torelieve stress medication free.
And that's my thank you giftthat I have spent here to be
able to share information withyou and your listeners.
Speaker 2 (24:40):
Thank you so much.
I really appreciate that.
Thank you so much.
My listeners would reallyappreciate that.
And thank you for just sharingyour knowledge with reflexology
touchology.
You've shared so much insightand I am definitely going to
(25:06):
continue to rewatch this episodemyself and then we can practice
that, practice the walking withthe hand that way, because I
know when I get stressed I don'tneed to get stressed, because
that definitely causes that, brings on episodes, and so that
(25:26):
definitely helped me especiallyto lower, you know, lower my
stress level.
Make sure I don't have any typeof episodes, because what I do
and I know we have to goeverybody um what I, what I
would do is, if I'm stressed, Iwould just take a deep breath
and breathe in, breathe out, trying to just calm myself down
(25:51):
like, okay, yes, but that willdefinitely help me a whole lot.
Thank you so much.
Speaker 3 (25:59):
You said much and the
other thing I want to share
with your listeners.
My website is focusonhealingcom, and I encourage you go on my
website and click the contactpage and ask me any questions
that you may have aboutrelieving pain and I will get
(26:21):

Any questions that you may have, just write it down.
I will definitely get back toyou with answers and ways that I
can help you, because I'm herefor you, just like you've been
here for me during this podcast.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
Thank you so much.
And then again you said withthe poster what was it was, it's
touchologyreflexologycom.
Touchologyreflexologycom.
Speaker 3 (26:53):
And that's the
download link and it'll open up
for you to see.
I have a poster right then andthere.
Speaker 2 (26:58):
Okay, all right, I
will go ahead and put it in the
chat and um, when our in the uhlink my description so everybody
can see it, and then I'll putyour website as well all right,
thank you, and I thank everyonefor your time thank you so much
um to my audience out there.
