Beverly (00:00):
Hello magic makers.
(00:01):
Welcome back to the Spark andIgnite Your Marketing podcast.
This episode, it's a littlepersonal.
Today I'm sharing the story ofhow we completely rebranded from
BC and Associates Marketing toWickedly branded and how it has
changed everything.
Our confidence, our clarity.
(00:22):
Our impact, but this isn't justour story, it's also a roadmap
or a blueprint or kind of likethose special instructions just
for you.
If you've ever felt like yourbrand doesn't fully capture your
particular magic, like you'rehiding behind something that
works, but doesn't.
(00:42):
Wow.
Then I want you to stick aroundtoday because this episode might
be the spark you need to stepinto the brand you were meant to
have.
So let's go back a little bit.
For years we operated as BC andAssociates Marketing.
It was professional, it wassolid, but something felt a
little off.
(01:02):
It kind of felt like anaccounting or a law firm, and it
always made us have to explainwhat we did.
I remember sitting in a clientmeeting, I don't know, a couple
years ago, giving them brandingadvice and telling them to step
boldly into their business toown what makes them unique, to
stop watering themselves down.
(01:23):
And then it hit me as I had thislike out of body experience.
We were not doing that forourselves.
Have you ever felt that way?
Like you're showing up in a waythat's fine, but it's not really
you.
Like you've outgrown your brand, but you're afraid to make a
change.
That was definitely us.
(01:44):
We were the literal marketingcobblers kids with no shoes,
helping everyone else createbold magnetic brands.
While our own felt a littlegeneric, something had to
change.
Then one day I was writing ablog post.
Well, I guess a little bitbefore that actually, I was
doing a lot of work on ourservices and who we are and on
(02:06):
our branding from a colorperspective, textures, how we
wanted to show up a little bitmore magically.
Then it really kind of hit mewhile I was writing a blog post
about the movie Wicked that hadcome out in November.
And it was all about from asolopreneur, entrepreneur's
perspective of embracing yourinner Elphaba, owning what makes
you different, even when theworld tells you to fit in.
(02:30):
And at the very end of thatpost, I wrote a single line that
changed everything.
It said, dare to be wickedlybranded.
And in that singular moment.
Something clicked.
It was bold, it was sassy, itwas fun, and it was totally in
completely us.
(02:51):
I quickly checked, was thewebsite available?
The social media handles thosetrademark, and by some miracle
of magic, they were.
It was like the universe wassaying, this is yours.
It's meant to be yours.
Own it.
And so we did.
Now let's talk about whatrebranding really means because
(03:13):
it's not just a name change,it's not just a logo change.
It is a real transformation Thebrand should feel like you,
capital YOU.
If it doesn't, you're playingtoo small, you're watering
yourself down.
A strong brand should feel likeslipping on the absolutely
(03:35):
perfect outfit when that makesyou stand taller, walk bolder,
and own the room like a unicorn.
It should be about clarity andnot just design.
So it's not just about a newlogo and colors, it's about
getting crystal clear on who youserve, how you help, why you're
(03:57):
different, and what you want tobe known for.
And when your brand is aligned, confidence just simply follows.
Once we fully embraced this ideaof being wickedly branded,
everything just got easier.
We started attracting the rightclients.
(04:18):
Selling felt like way morenatural.
Our message just clicked, and weshowed up bolder, more authentic
and more magnetic than ever.
Heck, I even dyed my hair pink.
So here's the question, doesyour brand feel a hundred
percent aligned with who you areand what you do.
(04:41):
Do your dream clients, thoseabsolutely favorite clients that
you have instantly get what youhave to offer.
Do you feel excited to show upand talk about your business
every day.
If not, maybe it's time for yourrebrand.
Maybe it's time to step intoyour own wickedly branded
(05:04):
moment.
I don't say this lightly.
Your brand is the foundation ofeverything you're gonna do from
a business and marketingperspective, but when it's
aligned, everything else flows.
Your marketing, your sales, yourhiring, your confidence.
(05:25):
So if you're ready to stophiding and start showing up
fully in your business, weshould definitely talk.
You can book a brand sparksession, a deep dive
conversation into where you'vebeen, where you are now, where
you wanna go, the challengesthat you're having.
And then we can create uniqueopportunities for you and to
(05:48):
completely own it by startingand stopping doing some of the
things that you're currentlydoing.
So let's awaken your brand magicbecause trust me, when you get
clarity, everything elsechanges.
And if you've loved thisepisode, share it with other
business owners who need to hearit.
Let's spread wickedly brandedenergy far and wide.
(06:10):
More of us should show up moreboldly and with passion and
confidence, and do the thingwe're meant to do, spreading
more wellness, joy, kindness inthe world.
We all need to magnify ourimpact so that we can leave the
legacies that we were born toleave.
(06:30):
That's the most powerful thingthat we can do with the life
that we have.
So until next time, go be bold,be confident, and most
importantly, be wickedlybranded.
