SPEAKER_00 (00:01):
Good evening and welcome to Faithful Rest Bedtime
Devotional.
Tonight we are going to be inthe book of 1 Peter, but before
we get into our Bible reading,we are going to do our breathing
exercise.
We will be taking five deepbreaths in and exhaling five

(00:24):
deep breaths out.
So let's get started.
So we're going to inhale inthrough the nose, and exhale out
through the mouth and inhale inthrough the nose again and
exhale out through the mouth andthis time as you inhale in

(00:49):
through the nose i want you tostop and think about everything
that you had to do today andrelease it as you exhale and
just allow yourself to let outall the breath that you have and
now we're going to inhale inagain and exhale out through the

(01:14):
mouth and just allow yourself tofeel the calmness that's coming
over you and continue to letyour breath out and last one we
are going to inhale in throughthe nose Exhale out through the
mouth and just feel thatcalmness coming over you and

(01:35):
keep pushing that breath outuntil you have none left.
Okay, so tonight we are going tobe reading 1 Peter 5, verse 10.
And it says, And the God of allgrace, who called you to his
eternal glory in Christ, afteryou have suffered a little

(01:58):
while, will himself restore youand make you strong, firm, and
steadfast.
You know, the day may have leftyou drained today, weary or even
wondering when things will shiftfor the better, but God's
promise still stands.

(02:20):
Suffering and struggle are neverthe end of your story.
This verse reminds us thattrials are temporary, but the
work God is doing in us iseternal.
He is not distant from our pain, but he is active in the process
of restoring, strengthening, andstabilizing us even when we are

(02:46):
asleep.
So whatever you have walkedthrough today, whether it's
frustration or heartbreakconfusion or simply downright
exhaustion god is using it umnot one moment is wasted in what
we go through in our lives andhis grace will meet us in our

(03:09):
weakness his plans alwaysinclude full restoration.
And just remember, you are notbeing overlooked.
You are being fortified.
And what feels like a breakingsession may actually be a
building session.
So tonight, as you get ready forbed, whether you want to just

(03:34):
ponder these questions orwhether you want to journal out
the answers, I want you to thinkabout these three questions.
What have you been walkingthrough lately that's testing
your endurance or peace?
How does it comfort you to knowGod himself is the one restoring

(03:57):
and strengthening you?
And the last question is, whatwould it look like to release
your timeline and trust in hisgrace tonight?
So as you end this day, I wantyou to remember you are not
alone in your suffering and itwill not last forever.

(04:22):
You know, the God of all graceis working behind the scenes and
he is shaping you into someonestrong, steady, and rooted in
him.
So let this Promise, you know, that he is with you.
He is strengthening you.
He is rooting you in faith.

(04:44):
Let that promise quiet your soultonight and rest in that.
Rest in knowing that everythingthat you are walking through is
part of your healing.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
