As you wind down tonight, let your heart settle in this truth—you don’t have to carry today’s weight into tomorrow. God is your strength, not just in the morning or midday, but even now, in this quiet moment before sleep. When you seek His face, even through your weariness, He meets you with comfort, peace, and reassurance. You don’t need all the answers. You just need to draw near. He is faithful to refresh your spirit, renew your strength, and watch over you as you rest. Release it all into His hands—He never sleeps, and He never leaves.

SPEAKER_00 (00:01):
Good evening and welcome to Faithful Rest Bedtime
Devotional.
Tonight we're going to bereading out of the book of First
Chronicles, but before we dothat, we are going to do our
breathing exercise for us torelax, get calm, and get
prepared to hear the Word ofGod.

(00:22):
So what we're going to be doingis we're going to be taking five
deep breaths in through the noseand exhaling out through the
mouth.
So let's begin.
First breath in through thenose.
Inhale.
And then exhale out through themouth.

(00:43):
And we're going to inhale againthrough the nose.
and exhale out through the mouthand we're gonna inhale in
through the nose again as deepas you can and this time as you
exhale i want you to focus onreleasing all of today out of

(01:06):
your body just push it throughyour body as you're exhaling all
the way out through your toesand exhale until you have no
breath left and then we're goingto inhale again through the nose
and we're gonna exhale throughthe mouth.
And this time as you'reexhaling, I want you to start to

(01:29):
feel your body naturallyrelaxing and the calmness that
is coming over you and continueto push that air out all the way
until you have no breath left.
And last one, we're gonna inhalein again through the nose and
we're going to exhale throughthe mouth and just allow

(01:50):
yourself to feel the calmnessthat's coming over you and allow
your body to get heavy and juststart to relax okay so tonight
we're going to be reading firstchronicles 16 11 and it says
look to the lord and hisstrength and seek his faith

(02:14):
always So tonight, as youprepare to go to bed, really let
this verse quiet your soul.
Look to the Lord and hisstrength and seek his face
always.
So whether today brought youjoy, you were struggling, you

(02:35):
were tired, exhausted, you know, this really The scripture really
is inviting you to come back tothe source of your strength, and
that is God.
Every time we go out into theworld, it's just a lot these
days.
There's a lot going on, and theworld can literally tear you

(02:59):
down.
And a lot of times you can getcarried away with the ways of
the world and things that youhave to do in the world.
And You know, it can drain youemotionally, mentally,
spiritually.
But if we remain focusing onseeking the Lord, especially in

(03:20):
quiet moments, like when we'regetting ready to go to bed, you
know, first thing in themorning, then you're allowing
God to fill you back up with hisstrength.
And what I'm saying, likeseeking his face, there is no...
regimen you need to do there isno ritual to do this there is no

(03:44):
you know you don't need to beperfect you don't have to
practice it's not a performanceit's just about connecting with
god and sitting with themsometimes it's a simple you know
just sitting there quietly andjust saying thank you jesus
thank you for watching over meum and showing gratitude

(04:04):
Sometimes it's a simple one,especially for me when I'm
feeling like stressed out oranxiety.
It is a simple, I trust you,Jesus.
And repeating that to myself acouple times and just allowing
myself to feel his presence comeover.
Because I feel like when I'msaying, I trust you, Jesus, I

(04:26):
feel like he comes just close tome and I can feel his presence.
Like he's like, you rang, youcalled, I'm here.
So I like to use that and say, Itrust you, Jesus.
And it also helps me rewire mybrain that it's not my presence.
job to do everything.

(04:47):
I have someone 100% I can alwaysrely on, and that's Jesus.
So tonight, as you're going tobed, instead of worrying about
what has to happen tomorrow orgoing over tomorrow's tasks,
spend time just with Jesus.

(05:07):
And even if it's saying thatsimple phrase, I trust you,
Jesus, say it tonight.
And then I want you to reflecton this question tonight.
Have I been seeking God'spresence today or have I been
relying on my own strength?
And if you answered, you know, that you've been relying on your

(05:31):
own strength, well, now's thetime to turn to God and use his
strength.
so tonight too when you go tobed make sure you're praying
tonight and thank god for beingyour strength throughout the day
ask him to draw you closer andrenew your heart as you sleep

(05:53):
invite his peace to replace anyanxiety overthinking any of that
going on stress Fear of what'shappening tomorrow, any of that,
ask him to replace that with theinner peace and joy that he
gives us.
And also seek his face anddeclare your trust in his plans,

(06:17):
even if it's unknown.
Thank you so much for comingalong with me tonight through
our bedtime devotional.
If you are watching on socialmedia, thank you for joining me
here.
If you are listening to me on mynew podcast, Speak Life, thank
you for joining me on thepodcast.

(06:38):
Please like, share, follow,subscribe, comment.
All of the above.
I truly appreciate it.
And if you're watching on thepodcast, if you go over to Speak
Life, there are weeklyaffirmations that I base out of
Bible verses and we do them.

(06:58):
I release them on Saturday andyou have the entire week to use
them.
There's some reflectionjournaling question that I have
you do.
along with a prayer.
And so it's just a really goodway to really speak life into
yourself and to really speak theword of God over you.

(07:19):
I am a big, big advocate forpraying scripture, speaking
scripture over yourself, andspeaking life through scripture
over yourself.
It is a game changer when youspeak life into yourself.
It is an amazing thing.
And I have been doing this for awhile and it is truly a game

(07:42):
changer.
It truly changes your lifeperspective and how you view
things and how you deal withlife stress and struggles.
So I hope to see you tomorrowfor another bedtime devotional.
And until then, have a beautifulnight's sleep.

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
