Good evening and welcome to Faithful Rest Bedtime
Devotional.
Tonight we're going to bereading out of the book of
Jeremiah, but before we get intoour Bible reading tonight, we're
going to do our exercise just torelax and calm ourselves and get
ready to hear the Word of God.

(00:23):
So what we're going to be doingis we're going to take five deep
breaths.
We are going to inhale inthrough our nose and then exhale
out through our mouth.
So let's begin.
Inhale in through the nose andexhale out through the mouth.

(00:46):
And we're going to inhale inthrough the nose again.
and exhale out through the mouthand we're going to inhale in
through the nose again and thistime as you are getting ready to
exhale i want you to think abouteverything that you had going on

(01:08):
today and release it as youexhale allow it just to leave
your body And continue to exhaleuntil you have no breath left.
And we're going to inhale inagain through the nose.

(01:30):
And exhale out through themouth.
And I just want you to closeyour eyes and become aware of
your body relaxing and allowthat to just take over as you're
exhaling out until you have nobreath left.
And we're going to inhale againlast time.

(01:51):
And exhale.
Same thing.
Close your eyes and just allowyour body to calm and start to
relax.
And just become aware of thatfeeling.
And keep pushing out the airuntil there's none left.

(02:15):
And okay.
So tonight we're going to bereading Jeremiah chapter 31
verse 3 and it says, I haveloved you with an everlasting
love.
I have drawn you with unfailingkindness.

(02:37):
So tonight as this day iswinding down, I really want you
to let this truth sink in reallydeep into your soul.
that God's love for you is nottemporary.
It's not fragile.
It's eternal and unbreakable.

(02:59):
When you think about it, eventhrough your mess and your
nonsense and all of yourmistakes and all of the times
you turned your back on God, hestill loved you anyways,
unconditionally.
There was never a moment wherehe didn't love you.
love you and there will never bea moment that he does not love

(03:21):
you his love is not the same aswhat we view as humans as love
and you know the world willteach us that you have to earn
love you know you have to proveyourselves worthy you gotta hide
you know your flaws because youneed to look like this lovable
person but the truth is with Thelove that God has for us is he

(03:47):
sees everything about us.
There is no part that you canhide from him.
He sees beyond the outerappearance because he is looking
at your heart.
He's not looking at yourthoughts and what you think you
can trick him into seeing.
He's looking deep down into ourhearts.

(04:07):
And God's love, it doesn't goaway.
no matter what we do, no matterthe times that we doubt him, any
of that, it never takes his loveaway from us.
And it never changes thedeepness that he loves us.

(04:30):
Even when we're...
doing mistakes, even when we'remessing up, what he's trying to
do is not push us away.
He's trying to draw us in closerto him.
So it's not going to matterwhether you're having the
greatest day or the worst day,no matter what, unconditionally,

(04:54):
he's going to love you anyways.
So tonight, as you are justwinding down, relaxing in bed,
preparing to go to sleep, justlet go of all the weight you've
been carrying today and restreally in confidence that you

(05:15):
are deeply loved and gentlypursued by the God of all
comfort.
And tonight, I want you to justreflect on these questions.
And if you have the time or feelthe desire, you can even journal
these out.
But in what ways have you triedto earn love from others that

(05:40):
you already have from God?
And how can you remind yourselfdaily of God's unfailing
kindness And what does it meanpersonally that God's love is

(06:00):
everlasting?
What does that mean personallyto you?
So think about those questions,answer them in your head.
And allow the Holy Spirit totalk to you if there's places
that you need to improve on.
Allow the Holy Spirit to talk toyou and speak to you about those

(06:25):
areas.
So just remember tonight thatyou're not just loved, you are
eternally loved.
And let that truth carry youinto a peaceful rest tonight.
