As you prepare to sleep tonight, take a deep breath and remember this truth: the God you serve is the God of hope. He sees every detail of your day and every weight on your heart. When you choose to trust Him—even with the things that feel uncertain—He pours joy and peace into your soul. Not a temporary escape, but a lasting, Spirit-filled calm that refreshes you from the inside out. You weren’t meant to carry everything alone. Release your thoughts, your to-do lists, and your worries to the One who never sleeps. Let His hope rise within you as you rest, and know that He’s already working on tomorrow.

SPEAKER_00 (00:01):
Good evening and welcome to Faithful Rest Bedtime
Devotional.
Tonight we're going to bereading out of the Book of
Romans, but before we do that weare going to do our breathing
exercise.
This exercise is just to relaxus and get us calm so that we

(00:23):
can prepare to hear the Word ofGod.
So what we're going to do iswe're going to take five deep
breaths We're going to inhale inthrough the nose, exhale out
through the mouth.
So let's begin.
Inhale in through the nose.

(00:43):
And exhale out through themouth.
And we're going to inhale inthrough the nose again.
And exhale.
out through the mouth and we'regonna inhale in through the nose

(01:07):
again and this time as we exhaleI want you to focus on
everything that you had to dotoday all the stress of the day
and allow it to leave the bodyas you're exhaling and I want
you to continue to exhale untilyou have no breath left all the

(01:29):
way out until you are completelyempty of breath and now we're
going to inhale in again throughthe nose and we're going to
exhale and this time as weexhale i want you to focus on
relaxation focus on the calmnessthat's coming over your body as

(01:52):
you are exhaling all of thebreath out And last one, we're
going to inhale in through thenose and exhale out through the
mouth.
And the same thing, allowyourself to just feel the

(02:13):
calmness coming over your bodyas you continue to exhale and
let all of the breath out.
Awesome.
So tonight, we're going to bereading Romans chapter 15, verse
13.
And it says, May the God of hopefill you with all joy and peace

(02:40):
as you trust in him, so that youmay overflow with hope by the
power of the Holy Spirit.
So tonight as you are settlingin for the night, you're getting
ready to go to bed, I want youto do something for me.
I want you to speak this overyourself.

(03:02):
God is the God of hope.
Not far off hope, not maybe, notmaybe if I feel like it.
He's always there.
the God of hope, the hope not inthe future, but the hope that
happens now.

(03:23):
He has the kind of hope thatshows up when you're battling
fear, anxiety, when you are inthe middle of dealing with
stress, when you are feelingbroken, weary, you can't go on.
Whatever is weighing on yourheart, he comes in with that
hope and can just...

(03:44):
take that away in an instant ifwe call on him and we allow him
to um and romans chapter 15verse 13 is a really good
reminder that you know we needto be trusting god We need to be
letting him in and building thatrelationship with him.

(04:06):
That is how we get the joy andthe peace and the calm and
serenity that comes along withhaving a relationship with Jesus
Christ.
You have to build it.
You have to invite him in andwant to spend that time with
him.
So as you go to bed tonight, Iwant you to focus on, you know,

(04:30):
how God is the God of hope.
Do not focus on what you have todo tomorrow and try to figure it
all out or start planning yourday tomorrow.
Focus on that and just rest.
Let go of whatever is in yourmind, whatever you have to do
tomorrow.
Put that in God's hands andreally just focus on him.

(04:53):
And I want you to really thinkabout this question.
Where do you need to let go andtrust God a little more so he
can fill you with his peace?
Wherever that is, tonight as yougo to bed and you're saying your
prayer, I want you to pray forhim to come in and allow you to

(05:15):
release whatever it is to himand give it to him.
Some prayer points for tonightthat you can use are, you know,
thanking God for being the onewho brings hope even in hard
moments.
You can also ask him to fillevery part of you, your mind,

(05:36):
your body, your soul, yourheart.
It's so important with his peaceand joy.
And let go of everything thatyou're carrying.
I know that it can be hard, butreally truly it is doable.
You just have to rewire yourfocus on something else.

(05:56):
And a lot of times, it reallydoes help when you just say
simple phrases a couple times.
So like one that I always useis, I trust you, Jesus.
And I will just say that acouple times.
And I always, whenever I do, Ijust will feel a peace and a
calmness come over me.
It's like saying that literallyinvites him in and he just kind

(06:21):
of A wave of just calmness willcome over me and I can just say,
you know what?
I give it to God.
I'm good.
I don't need to focus on this.
I don't need to worry about it.
I'm just going to give it toyou.
And also, don't forget whenyou're praying to invite the
Holy Spirit to refresh and renewyou as you rest.

(06:42):
Invite him in and ask him tojust...
Go search you and whatever it isthat's been in the way, ask him
to show you so you can removethat out of you.
So if you are listening on SpeakLife Podcast, thank you so much
for listening there.

(07:02):
