THE BIBLE TELLS US NEVER TO QUENCH OR GRIEVE THE HOLY SPIRIT. THERE ARE CONSEQUENCES FOR DOING SO. THERE WILL BE A DECLINE IN OUR SPIRITUAL LIVES. YOU WIL EXPERIENCE SPIRITUAL EMPTINESS, AND BECOME VULNERABLE TO SIN. 1 THESSALONIANS 5:16-22 TELLS NOT TO QUENCH THE HOLY SPIRIT AND YOU SHOULD NOT TREAT PROPHECIES WITH CONTEMPT, BUT YOU ARE TO TEST THE SPIRIT. THE HOLY SPIRIT IS IS THE FIRE OF GOD THAT BURNS WITHIN US. THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE ONE WHO GIVES THE NINE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. WE CAN DO NOTHING WITHOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT THE HOLY SPIRIT IS OUR ADVOCATE, OUR COMFORT AND HE IS THE ONE WHO CONVICTS US OF OUR SINS. THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE '"RESTRAINER" THEREFORE, THE ANTICHRIST WILL NOT BE REVEALED UNTIL THE CHURCH IS TAKEN OUT OF THIS WORLD.. THE HOLY SPIRIT AND SIN CANNOT CO-EXIST IN ONE PLACE. HE IS SENSITIVE TO SIN BECAUSE OF HIS CLOSE RELATIONSHIP WITH US.. WHEN YOU GRIEVE THE HOLY SPIRIT YOU ARE ALLOWING YOURSELF TO DEPART FROM GOD.
