Unknown (00:01):
Hey everybody. I'm Angela, Amy.
And hi, I'm Lila.
We're going to be discussingalternative health techniques.
So if you are looking to healthe physical, mental or
spiritual parts of yourself, orcurious about what to try, or

(00:21):
what could help you live yourbest life, you're absolutely in
the right place. So welcome, everyone for being here today.
And for tuning in. Today I havethis very special guest. I'm so
excited. Her name is LaraDillon, and she is the founder

(00:41):
of Holistic Life communitylocated in Wakefield,
Massachusetts. She is a shamanicenergy healer. And Lila and I
are just so excited to dive in.
So excited to hear all about allthis good stuff. So thank you,
Laura.
Thank you so much. I'm soexcited to be here.

(01:02):
Awesome. So why don't we justbegin with you explaining how
you or why you started yourcenter.
Okay. So I'm in 2017, I left thecorporate world, I was
struggling, I was 30 pounds overoverweight, I was having panic

(01:24):
attacks, four to five panic, panic attacks a day. And I
needed to do somethingdifferent. I had been in the
accounting world for a longtime. So I ended up leaving in
2017. And around the same timemy kids got into this allergy
Release Technique program thatreally opened up my world to the

(01:48):
power of alternative andholistic medicine. So they had
severe food allergies to prettymuch everything. milk egg,
peanuts, tree nuts, like severe when lorises, severe
people listening to this, likesevere allergy.
Yeah, they have a they have bothanaphylaxis multiple times, oh,
I'd say my oldest four times andmy youngest, probably twice. And

(02:13):
so it this program lasted forabout three and a half years.
When they were about six monthsinto going after I had left
converse, the founder approachedme and said, Hey, would you be
interested in becoming apractitioner? And I actually
said no, because I'm like, Whatdo I know? I am an accountant. I

(02:34):
mean, I was director ofaccounting at Converse, right.
And I had worked at Deloitte andTouche public accounting. So
this was not my world. I'm like,What do I know about working
with people, but I knew a lotabout food allergies because of
mykids. And meanwhile, you pretty
much curd your children. Yeah, right. Yeah,
right. Definitely my my youngeststruggles a little bit, but

(02:54):
we're working on some stuff. Butmy oldest is absolutely eating
everything. And, you know, whenwe were going through the
program, you you're giving themthese small doses of whatever
the allergen food is that theyou know, and you're
desensitizing them using thismodality, but a big piece of it

(03:15):
is energy work. And so I endedup ended up getting trained and,
and there's something a processcalled the Emotion Code, which,
when you think about these kidswho have anaphylaxis from a
peanut and had been stabbed byan epi pen have been
hospitalized, there's PTSDrelated, right, right. And so I

(03:37):
started getting into energywork, Reiki and motion code. And
I just started working on myselfinitially. And so basically, I
ended up not doing allergyRelease Technique anymore after
about 18 months, because rightaway, I knew the energy work was
for me, you felt a chi couldfeel and sense things that I

(04:01):
know that wasn't normal for foreven other practitioners that I
was working with. And so Ireally started to get into the
energy work and I had actuallyseen Angel Amy, in a session,
you were in like an awakeningwhen you so basically, Lara had
worked on done energy work onherself, so you can do this on

(04:25):
yourself. And she forged adeeper connection between her
physical body, her mind in hersoul, her spirit in your spirit
vibrates 1000 times quicker orhigher than the mind in the
physical body. So the soul willthen lead and that's when you

(04:47):
enter into an awakening. Andthat's when a lot of people come
to me and find me and they saywhat is happening to me? Yeah,
like what am I experiencing? No,you are telling me things that I
just couldn't I didn't reallyunderstand because you are like
you're so powerful, you have noidea what you're going to be
doing. And you know, I hadalways struggled with future
law. You know, I had struggledwith depression and anxiety,

(05:11):
severe depression, anxiety myentire life, I was on medication
and stuff. And so anyway, to getback to the original question of
why I opened the center, so mykids now go through this
program, I have now gone off myantidepressant medication that
I've been on for over 20 years, and I'm starting to heal myself.
And I and I was like, I need tocreate a community and a

(05:36):
resource for people to find outabout these powerful, powerful
healing modalities that existthat have changed people's
lives. You know, in a lot oftimes, people are using it in
combination with, they're goingthrough cancer treatment, and
then they're doing this energywork, right. It doesn't have to
be one side or the other. Butwhat what this center is really

(06:00):
about is to let people know thatthese modalities exist. And so I
created Holistic Life Communityin August of 2020, in the middle
of a pandemic, with really thephilosophy to bring together
powerful, powerful healers thatare really passionate about what

(06:23):
they do, and are really good atit. And so, at our center, we
have an herbalist who's amazing.
She does a lot of intuitive andenergy work working with the
plants. We have a hypnotherapistwe have life, a life coach. We
have a massage therapist, andthen myself, what I do is a lot

(06:47):
of energy, shamanic typehealing. And the center we
provide so many amazing events.
Lots of events. So Lila, out ofall those modalities. She just
listed off. What have you tried?
Well, I definitely heardmassage. So we might Yeah,

(07:07):
but before we started, Lauramentioned that she has a chi
gong. Am I saying thatcorrectly? practitioner in you
just started this? Yes. Yeah, really cool.
super interesting. We'll see howit turns out. But
yeah, so far, what has yourexperience been, like,
you know, very basic at thispoint. But as you know, I've

(07:30):
been doing a lot of meditation, and just kind of as myself, I
like to move some times, youknow, so like, you know, yoga,
but I felt like I need somethingdifferent. So decided to try Chi
Gong, right. I've tried Tai Chi,it's a little bit not my thing.
So before we get into talkingabout Emotion Code, because

(07:52):
that's really why we have Laurahere. I just want to talk to
Lila a little bit aboutsomething because someone may
hear this and it may resonate.
So while you're doing Chi Gong, your body is in motion. Yes. Is
that correct? Yes. Okay, so wedid something similar before we
started with Lara to ground andand it was so beautiful. And I,

(08:13):
I really felt my energy bodyshift, and really grounded in,
in so when you're in this fluidmoment, movement, Lila, do you
start to notice that you drawyour you draw your energy inside
your body like an observation?

(08:33):
Are you there yet?
I don't know about anobservation that I definitely
focus on, you know, trying tofeel that chi or that you know,
lifeforce energy sort of moving.
One of the things I think formyself is that my chi is kind of
stagnant right now. Right needsto really be moving. And so
that's really where I'm focusedon it is trying to feel that

(08:56):
starting to flow more easily forme,
so if you start to feel it fromwithin, like, so meaning like,
come in, go inside your body, and see how it feels while
you're moving. And then move, move your observation outside

(09:19):
your body. Am I saying thiscorrectly? Trying to help people
be able to feel the energy moreis my point here? Yeah, yeah.
Well, thepractice that we did was more
shamanic based. I don't knowmuch about Qigong. But one of
our practitioners Angela, SoCalSoCal ova. She's amazing. She's
amazing. And she's doing a freeclass in February February 4,

(09:40):
and then February 11, and 18some of the fun events that
we're doing, but I mean, I knowthat Qigong like she has done
some things with us. It's verymuch about breathing and
movement and getting the flow,right.
Like a combo like a combinationis What I was explaining to Lila

(10:02):
because some people listening tothis will just get so much more
out of the activity, if theykind of understand where to go
inside their body. Yeah, yeah.
So let's dive into Emotion Code.
Yeah. So listen, everybody, I'vetried a lot of different things
in Emotion Code is up there forme with the tapping, you know, I

(10:24):
love the tapping. That's why I'man EFT practitioner. But I just
love the Emotion Code. So I'mgoing to let Laura just tell us
a little bit about what it is.
We'll dive in. And then maybe Iget to tell you the difference
between the two. And why I loveit so much. Okay.
Yeah, so Emotion Code is one ofthem. Various things that I do

(10:47):
in a session, I say, I have mytools in my toolbox. And I
intuitively will kind of knowjust what's going to be better
for some people versus others.
Because some people can bereally sensitive to things. I
also do tuning forks and doshamanic energy clearing. The
Emotion Code was developed by achiropractor. And after working

(11:07):
with his patients for over 20years, what he discovered is
that people's back issues andtheir joint issues had these
underlying emotional componentsto them. So it's a process
basically, where you're usingkinesiology or muscle testing,
which is pretty common in thisalternative therapy world. And

(11:31):
you basically have this chart.
So if somebody has a physicalshoulder pain, or a headache, or
problems with their feet, you'rebasically doing muscle testing.
And you're using this chart, andyou're saying, okay, related to
this pain in your foot, is therean underlying distorted energy

(11:55):
that's causing this pain in yourfoot and so you muscle test this
chart, and you're and you know, you might get frustration or
creative insecurity, which iscreative insecurity is basically
feeling unsafe or unstable withchange, right. And so then
you're working with the meridiansystem. So your governing

(12:17):
Meridian goes from the yourforehead all the way down your
spine, and you're sending energywhen you're working with the
client, down their spine using amagnet. And most people feel it,
they'll feel tingling in theirhands or their feet, or they
could feel like pressure intheir chest or kind of movement

(12:38):
in their stomach. And it'sreally, really powerful. And for
me, what it opened up was, howmuch of our stuff is actually
not ours. It's inherited. Right?
So when I work with clients, Itell them, I say it's about
1/3 1/3 1/3 1/3 of the stuffSARS. 1/3 is from our mother and

(12:59):
the ancestral line, and 1/3 isfrom the Father and then
yes, so before we get into allthe ancestors, because I love
that piece, let's, I'm going toexplain to everyone because I've
actually done this with Laura, and I love it. And so you

(13:20):
basically go see her, you'refully clothed, yeah, right, we
have to say that a lot of peopleknow what massage is. And you
meet with Lara and she basicallyuses kinesiology and I'm going
to explain what that is. Todetermine what emotions which

(13:42):
are energy, your body is readyto release. So Kinesiology is
basically the study of like, energy within the muscles. Yes.
So that's how practitioners getyeses and noes through your
body. So when I saw her, Iforget what topic we were on at

(14:06):
that point. I don't know if itwas herniated disk at that
point. I think it was herniated.
Okay. Yeah. But I remember weyou tested me for needing to
release a lot of shame. And sowhich is on the money. So when
she tests she looks at the chartor this point, you know, the
chart and says, okay, thisperson has shame from the age of

(14:27):
13 Is it in this lifetime? Yesor no? Right? Yeah. And then you
want to pick it up from therewhat you do, and given them a
play by play? Yeah.
So you want to interject, Lila?
I just wanted to say but you ifyou had a herniated disc like
you're approaching Laura sayinglike my back hurts, right and

(14:50):
then you go and figure out doingthe Kinesiology testing
afterwards like then you'relooking at the chart right? Are
you person venting with the painlike, am I saying My feet are
killing me or my back hurts myneck hurt.
Most people that are coming tosee me have some type of
ailment, whether it'sdepression, anxiety, physical

(15:14):
issues, they all have underlyingemotional energetic pieces to
them. Okay, so using muscletesting you can like if you come
in and phobias are a huge onethat I work huge, like this
little 11 year old boy, thesweetest thing, his mother is a
psychiatrist, and she had triedeverything. And she, she had

(15:36):
heard about me through somebodyelse, she brought him to me. And
after three sessions of clearinghis energy, basically, he woke
up one day, I mean, he was soafraid of bees that he would
basically in January, when hewould start thinking about the
springtime and the grass and thebees coming out, and he would

(15:57):
start talking to his mom, likethe weather, the weather is
going to be getting warmer, andthen you know, I'm not going to
be able to go out for lunch forschool and all this. Yeah, it's
crazy. And after three sessions,he basically won't woke up one
day, and the mom texted me andwas like, yeah, he said, he's
just not afraid of bees. And soit's just a matter of shifting

(16:19):
and moving the energy, it canreally, really be anything, it
could be a trauma thatsomebody's going through a
divorce, it could be losing aloved one a parent, it doesn't
have to be a physical issue, itcan really be anything. So
remember, negative emotionscontribute to pain inside the

(16:41):
physical body, in the emotionalbody. And so in our very first
episode, the introductoryepisode, I do explain in depth
about I relate the emotions, thenegative emotions back to the
physical body. So if, if you'relistening to this, and you need,
like that piece of it, just goback and, and listen to that,

(17:03):
again. Because what happens isthe negative emotions live
inside the cells inside yourbody, which then live in the
fascia. And when the cells gettired, the energy spills over,
and causes dis ease. And disease could be a disease, or it

(17:25):
could just be a herniated disc,or headaches or whatever it is,
or it could be a phobia, that'swhen we get into the mental
piece. Or it could get into likea spiritual piece. And so this
is why Emotion Code reallyencompasses everything as a
whole you know, Laura doesn'tneed to know all your background

(17:49):
so if your private in you don'twant to get into it, like I'm
gonna dig it out of you. Soyeah, I am annually and he's
going there. But if you youknow, if you're ready to go
there and get it out, you'regonna you know, want to talk
about it and do energy work, yousee me if you really just kind
of want to, like, you know, youwant to get it out, but maybe

(18:10):
not dive into it as much andprocess. That's when you're
gonna go see Laura, what are wethinking about this
Lila? So it through thatprocess? Do you then say, you
know, for example, let's go backto the herniated disc? And do
you say there is there is shamehere in your past or in your or

(18:32):
you don't even have to do thatpart of it?
No, I would I would muscle testso like for Angel Amy, she came
in for a herniated disc I muscletested to see what the
underlying vibration and emotionis that is causing us because,
again, to what Amy said, anytype of illness or physical

(18:52):
issue manifests in our energeticbody first, we don't deal with
it. And then maybe we get asoreness or a pain in our knee.
We don't deal with it, it getsworse. And then if we keep
pushing it off, that's where itbecomes a lot more serious.
And so you you stand and youface this beautiful lake Yeah,
that she that she's on in heroffice if she can you do to this

(19:17):
over zoom to do we can do aremote? Yeah. Which is what
really? Yeah. Because we do havesome out of state listener. Yes.
And other country too. Yes. Soshe will work with you if you're
out of the country. And youbasically then do what?
So then basically, I am figuringout what underlying emotions

(19:40):
right? So in a typical session, all usually release eight to 12
for people and 12 a motion.
Okay. All right. So again, let'ssay you come in because you have
a shoulder pain and And I'llalways start out the session,

(20:01):
I'll have them stand up lookingout at the lake, because I'm
going to be working on theirback, I usually have my eyes
closed as I'm tuning into theenergy. And I'm basically going
to muscle test and I and Ialways start out every session
with asking what can be releasedfor this person's highest and
best good because sometimes whatthey're coming in for may not be

(20:24):
a priority for their overall, well, you know, highest, highest
and best good. So I'll usuallyrelease a couple of those
emotions, and then we'll getspecific to why the person is
here. So again, if you have thisshoulder pain, you know, and I'm
gonna get what the emotion is,I'm gonna get Okay, whose is it?

(20:45):
Is it yours? Is it inheritedfrom your mother or your father?
How many generations does it goback? I can also figure out
where on the body it's actuallylocated. Right? Like, is it in
your chest area? Is it in yourlegs, and then I'm using the
magnet, and I'm going from, like, the top of your neck, the

(21:06):
top of your neck down yourspine, and I'm going to send
energy down showingus every day we get a live demo.
It's good.
And so, so again, people, willyou I'd say probably 60% of
people feel it, they'll feel itas sensations and tingling in

(21:28):
different parts of their body.
It could be in their arms andtheir legs. For me specifically,
when I work on myself, I usuallyfeel it on my left side, and my
leg because I've had multipleknee surgeries. So it's almost
like, the energy gets released.
And it's now flowing better, ifthat makes sense. Yeah.
So you would go see Laura, ifyou're maybe more introverted,

(21:53):
or maybe even at a verytraumatic place with whatever
this is, or even meaning, like,if you just want Laurie to just
go in and get it, then you'regonna go see her. It's such an
easier thing. Yeah. Some peoplelike me love the process, love.
Like, we love to go into thetapping and go into make

(22:16):
connections. And this is just alittle bit different. But all
roads lead to Rome, right? Yeah.
It's really cool.
Yeah. And so a couple of thingsI've added since you saw me
last, I also use tuning forksnow. So I have a massage table
in my office. Again, everybody'sfully clothed, right. And so
I'll have people lay down. Andso I'll do the Emotion Code in

(22:37):
the beginning. And then I may bedoing some sound healing, or I
will usually have my client'seyes closed, and I'm just kind
of sensing where there could bedistorted energy for whatever it
is that the person is strugglingwith, right? If it's like their
Sacral Chakra, if they're havingissues with shame, fight

(23:01):
financial issues, creativitiesdown their sexual issues, right?
Then I'll work in and it's, it'skind of like Reiki on the table.
Super peaceful. It's superpeaceful, and I'm not touching
them. But I use a lot ofcrystals to crystals are
powerful, because you think ofan LCD screen your TV, it's

(23:25):
liquid crystal technology. Socrystals magnify any frequency.
And so a lot of times I'll beplacing crystals on on people,
or I'll have them hold thingsas, as I'm walking them through
st something's like I'm choosingto let go and to release this
vibration and emotion of shame, right. And so I can usually find

(23:47):
on the body where where it'slocated, which is really cool.
So when it during my session, Ikept seeing a Black Panther. And
Lara is a shaman. So do you mindjust explaining to everyone what
that mean? Yeah. So I'm likethis black panther. Lara is

(24:08):
breathing on me and you're like, that's good.
Love this world. So I started Itook a shamanic program because
I kept going to these differentenergy healers that knew nothing
about me had never met them. Ihad gone to three or four of
them and every single one ofthem was like, Oh, you are a

(24:29):
shaman in your previous life.
What does that mean? That meansand so I ended up taking when
COVID hit the universe threw inmy lap, this man who was down in
Mexico and I'm Mexican. So mymom's parents are from Mexico.
So really resonated with me andhe used to work with a really

(24:52):
good friend of mine, and he'sactually from the Netherlands
but lived down in Mexico. cuz hemarried this Mexican woman. And
he had really gotten into likehe was doing tours in Peru and
gotten into the shamanic stuff.
So basically, shamanism isreally about working with the

(25:15):
energy of Mother Nature. And weuse a lot of animals, right? So
when I have somebody on thetable, a lot of times I'm seeing
or sensing, I'm seeing images ofdifferent things, or I'm pulling
in the energy of maybe differentanimals or different plants from

(25:37):
from nature and Mother Earth, right, like I'll see. And I'll
see an image of a dandelion. AndI'm like, Oh, that's
interesting, right? Becausethat's all about digestion, or
I'll see an image of it like youwere saying the Panther. Right.
So Black Panther. But let's leteverybody know the elements that
you work with. So it's fireether, air. Water. Yeah. And one

(25:58):
more Earth Earth.
I see. I didn't get trained withthat, specifically, yeah, I work
with more the directions. So Iwork with the North. So you
always start out in the east, the east, the South, the west
and the north. So I work withthe energies of that. And
there's certain animals that arereplicated for each of those

(26:23):
for each of those directions.
So which is the Panther? Am Ilike in the North Pole? Well,
too cold up there.
In the shamanic world, there'sthree different worlds. So you
have the upper world, the MiddleWorld, and the lower world and
the Catholic in me, you know, itdoesn't correlate with heaven

(26:46):
and hell, it's, it's just howthey view different energies.
Right? So the upper worldcorrelates with the eagle. It's
about clarity, seeing thingswith new perspective, clear
vision. A lot of people who havepassed and crossover are up in
that world. And then the MiddleWorld is correlates with the

(27:09):
Panther. And that's Earth,right?
And nettles, my people, thatpeople,
the Panther is such a powerfulanimal, because it's the highest
on the food chain. So itapproaches things from a
curiosity perspective, right? Itit. You think about its ability

(27:31):
to hear its ability to see it'sable to mulch dense energy. And
so that's where the Panthercomes in. And then in the lower
world is the snake, which isabout the ability to sense and
feel you you think of a snakegoing down a path. It's not so

(27:52):
no, no, no, it's not a Catholic.
Yeah, no, I was I was born andraised to. It's not it's not
for snake.
Okay, so let's talk about thesnake. So I've learned a lot
about snake energy from hangingout with different shamans, as

(28:12):
in this career as Angel AMI, andlet's start here. In Roman
Catholicism, when we see MotherMary statues, she is basically
has her foot on a snake, wherethey're both shaking their heads
at me. Yes. So we automaticallygrow up as little girls and cute

(28:35):
little dresses and pigtails. Andlook at a woman standing on a
snake. And we're taught we youknow, glorify her, which I do
think we should because I'mreally big into Mother Mary. But
she It looks like she's tellingthe snake you're bad. It's
slithering away. Right? Well, because Adam and Eve, right?

(28:57):
Have a snake. Yes. So Right. Sohe has I know, do you want to
jump into this?
Well, so the first time I did ashamanic journey, which is just
really a guided meditation, foranyone that knows what it is. I
knew nothing about any of theanimals nothing. And two animals

(29:19):
came to me in that meditation, apanther and a snake. And, and
then I told people after andthey're like, Wow, those are,
those are shamanic, reallypowerful animals. And I had no
idea what it really meant. Andthat snake in that meditation
was literally taking off itsskin. It was shedding. So it can

(29:41):
be very symbolic of birth andand rebirth, you know, or death
and rebirth like like, this isthe old you and this new you're
you're literally shedding yourskin so it's not necessarily a
negative thing.
They do that in my garage. Ohgee.
South, you know how he's talkingabout the directions of South

(30:02):
can correlate with the snakeabout letting go of the past?
Yeah shedding that skin.
And just to complete my motherMary thought is, you know she is
a goddess in as she stands, youknow, on her podium standing on
the snake it just represents herpower of such gracefulness that

(30:29):
that there isn't anything shecan't handle or withstand.
Right? So I think that's wherethe snake just get gets used in
relation to her her strong, strong power. If I could just do
a quick Storytime with Angel heis allowed by law. Absolutely.
Okay. So I love that you saidthe snakes shed in your garage?

(30:53):
Does it happen a lot?
Yeah, we have like a really bigsnake. So somewhere in the
foundation, they can get in andmy husband was out of town and I
was like, Oh my God, there's ahuge steak in the garage. And I
took a picture of it andeverything. And he came back and
he looked around, he couldn'tfind it. But then he pulls out
of the corner, that thing that'shuge snakeskin and he's like,

(31:17):
Well, I don't know where he is.
But here's the snakeskin knowwhen New England, Massachusetts,
everybody. So we're not like wedon't see a ton of snakes. I'm
not afraid of them. Okay, storytime ready. So early on in
my angel Ami. Career like doingthis publicly. I started to have
a reawakening of like, a verystrong spiritual magnitude. And

(31:43):
there was this one night that Iwas in between sleep state, so I
wasn't fully crossed over insleep state, which I know when
we sleep, we travel through thedimensions, right? But I also
wasn't fully in my human body.

(32:03):
So I was in between and fullyaware, and I saw myself laying
in bed. And this snake, that wasthe biggest thing I've ever seen
in my life. It wasn't evenhumanly possible to be this big
slithered. It was a you can'tsee my hands everybody, but it

(32:27):
was like four feet thick. LikeI'm five foot two. So it was
like massive and it went all theway around my room all the way
over the bed slow that over endthan livid over me. So I came
back in my body body and I waslaid there and said to myself,

(32:53):
Why did I feel this because Ifelt no fear, zero fear. And in
that moment, I could feel thepower of my goddess in my soul.
Like that snake came to align meto who I truly am on my
blueprint so if you don't knowwhat a blueprint for it and I'll

(33:16):
teach you, I'll teach you okay, but it really aligned me because
it was the duality on somelevel, but I didn't take it as
bad that the snake was bad. Itwas in its power on earth on an
earth realm. And I It threw meinto mine. Is this making sense?

(33:39):
Says Lila is looking at me now.
Laura's shaking her head. Yes.
Okay, got my duality right inthis room, everybody. Yeah, I
wasn't freaking out. Lila I wasjust like, it's gonna be okay.
I'll bring it right back down. Iwas like, I'm I'm now I'm
standing in my physical bodyfrom a different perspective.

(34:01):
And whatever this glorious lightinside of me, I'm feeling I'm
going to use this to helppeople. And that was a piece of
my story that I know she hadpublicly. But this snake, I
could see it as clear as I lookat you ladies. That's yeah,
that's powerful. A life path isnot. So that's my snake. I'm

(34:25):
backing you up on that. JustOlara Yeah, but I did. I felt
this Black Panther breathing onme. If we're working, because I
see as a psychic. And that's howI know you're legit. Because
then I asked you what does thismean in shamanism and you
rattled all that off and I'mlike, great. We're gonna be
okay. I'm in the middle realm.
All my humans. Love that. Wheredo we go from here? I don't

(34:50):
know. What questions do we havefrom his Lara?
What about how long is thesession how soon Oh,
my sessions are an hour and 15minutes. Oh, okay. Yeah. And,
again, I usually so if it's anew client, you know, we'll

(35:10):
spend 20 to 25 minutes, typically just talking about
whatever it is that's ailingthem. But again, they don't have
to. I've seen a lot of teenagerslately. And you'll get some
teenagers that come in therebecause their parents have
forced them and don't want totalk about anything, literally.
And that I have one of thetotally okay. And even the

(35:37):
process is still going to workright to me, because they're at
least open for me to work onthem. They're there,
right, I would send my daughterto you in a heartbeat in a
heartbeat. But we're vibing highright now.
Yeah, I've I in the last year,I've started to see so many kids

(36:01):
from, I'd say, the 11 year oldboy all the way up to 25 year
olds that are struggling withanxiety. So bad.
Yeah. Well, they're Gen X. AndGen X is no Oh, Gen Z
Gen Z. Sorry. Whatare we Gen X? Where do ya Oh,
geez, I'm tired. Today. Gen Z isthe highest vibrating generation

(36:22):
right now. Because Alpha hasn'tfully they're not all here yet.
So Gen Gen Z, are made to doamazing things. And they are
living in a world that right nowthat is broken. Yeah. Right. So
they're going against the tide.

(36:48):
And those of us that can seethis, what's really happening in
in those of us that can see allthese kids beauty, we are
basically like devoted to makingsure that they're on the right
path. And they're in alignmentwith their true soul, and

(37:09):
releasing them of that anxietybecause they did not come here
to feel that. So if you have ateam that's really struggling
with anxiety, please, pleaseplease think about going to see
Laura or Alright, some healerthat can help them in some way.
Because they do not need to stayin struggle, right? Between
anxiety, panic, well, and what they've been through.

(37:31):
And just I mean, the differencein their world regarding social
media is in great learning. Imean, who would ever have
thought of it? You know what Imean? Like what they have been
through is, is prettyextraordinary. So hands
down all three of my girls, Ihave three daughters. I have a
sixth grader freshman in highschool and a junior. The remote

(37:53):
schooling was detrimental. Itwas really, really hard for
them. And to the point they wereso excited to just be back at
school.
I know. Yeah. Mine loved it. Theremote learning. Yeah, mine is a
homebody. She did.
I had fun that didn't mind it.
Yeah. My older ones. Julia, butmy younger one who used to you

(38:15):
know, when you'd get them up inthe morning, she's like, why
don't go to school. I don't wantto go to school and after remote
learning. She was like, ready togo like get me out the door. A
littleone needs to be in LA. She's
gorgeous. She's a redhead. Sheneeds to be she's your actress I
love Yeah, she's she's yourfire? Yeah, so it No, it really
mine was not the norm. But a lotof kids have, you know,

(38:40):
struggled so much so.
So can we just take a second andtalk for a little bit about so
say somebody has a kid orwhatever, it doesn't matter what
age they are? What sort ofthings are they going to see in
that kid? If they are suffering, maybe from anxiety or something
else? Is there something wecould give people to look for?

(39:03):
I mean, what I see is peoplehaving fears of being in public
places, fear of going to school.
You know, just like differentanxiety. It's almost like they
have anxiety. I have one guy whohe started having panic attacks
and he starts getting panickybecause he's about to have a

(39:26):
panic attack. Right? You knowwhat I mean? Yep. One of the big
one of the big things that I'mreally, really passionate about
with all my clients, butspecifically the teens, is I
say, I teach them to fish. I'mliterally when life happens
because life happens, givingthem the tools and giving them
things that they can do thatwill help with whatever it is

(39:49):
that they're going on. Right andso I work a lot with the energy
of nature. So one thing that I Ihave people do I call it tree
therapy. And this is againanother shamanic technique that
I learned. But if you literally,if you sit with your back
against the tree, and I'll do itin all seasons, in the winter, I

(40:12):
have my hat on my coat on, I doit with my oldest daughter will
go out and we'll find a tree andwe'll sit for at least 15
minutes. And I guarantee you bythe time you leave there it like
rate yourself on a scale of oneto 10, you're at an eight, by
the time you leave there, you'llbe down at least three or four

(40:33):
points, like you'll be down to afive or a four. Because you
think of your breathing in thecarbon dioxide, or I mean,
you're breathing in the oxygenthat the tree is giving off,
right, and you're giving thetree the carbon dioxide. So
there's this natural cyclethat's happening. So that's like

(40:53):
a real powerful thing that I do.
I love that I say to if younotice that your child's light
is dimmed. So that just meansangry, sad, and I would let's
give this percentages, like 80%of the time that needs some

(41:13):
support. Yeah, if the light isdim, so if they have a lot of
the negative emotions 80% of thetime. That is when I would say
to send your child to see ahealer or seek some medical
attention.
Yeah, that's a good yeah,analysis,
because I don't see many teenssaying a lot having a lot of

(41:36):
words to sort of identify a lotof those feelings around
anxiety. Yeah, canwe go there? So listen, I, I
always say that the biggestepidemic in this country right
now is the lack of knowledge todo with the emotional component.

(41:57):
So emotional, likeunintelligence. And so like most
humans know, sad, angry andlove. But there's like, if you
study the emotions is like 80something human emotions, right?
So I'll say to my husbandsometimes, like, how does this
make you feel? He's like, I haveno idea. Yeah, we need to really

(42:19):
think about this end married tothe emotion lady. Right and
gentle with it. But then he'slike, I never thought of it that
way. It's really hard for adultsto figure out shame. Like when
they feel shameful. They don'treally know what that feels
like. They just think that theother person makes them feel

(42:40):
bad. But what you're feeling, you're feeling shame, right? And
so it's it's runs, it startswith adults, and then run
trickles right down that lineageinto the kids. And this is why
it's it's so amazing to start tomaybe do a little research on

(43:00):
this. There's lots of beautifulbooks you can read that teach
about the emotional component.
And it really helps make you abetter parent. If you're a
parent listening to this.
Upset isn't an actual know whatthey say like I'm just upset.
So when when adults say that tome, I say upset, sad or upset.

(43:22):
Angry. Right? You love upset?
Frustrated? Right? Upset? Hey,you got it, sir.
So I have a good bookrecommendation. Oh, great.
Comment. Yeah. It's by Dr. JoanRosenberg. She is a psychologist
and professor, I think atPepperdine University, and the

(43:45):
title of the book. It'ssomething like 90 seconds to a
life you love or something likethat. But the premise of it is
that physiologically in yourbody, when you are experiencing
an emotion, it actually onlylasts for 90 seconds. So if you
are experiencing anger or shame, the chemicals and hormones that

(44:06):
your body is producing, dissipates after about 90
seconds. And she has a lot ofreally cool exercises and charts
in her book where she she talksabout eight specific emotions.
And she basically says that, ifyou can start paying attention

(44:27):
to when you experience certaintrigger emotions, one of these
eight or maybe have multiple andstart enduring and know that
it's only going to last for 90seconds. It's going to really
help you to not avoid certainsituations, right? Like let's
say your emotion is humiliation.
You're going to you're going toavoid certain things where

(44:48):
you're not going to feelhumiliation, but if you learn
how to endure that and know thatit's only going to last for 90
seconds, right?
You can do anythingreally powerful. It's so
powerful. Yeah. To really tunein. There's another book I'd
like to add to it's Dr. MarkBrackett permission to feel is a

(45:11):
really good book to really is toreally get to know about the
emotions, and it's an easy read.
So I thought I'd throw that inthe mix too. So this was
amazing. Lara, it was so nice tohave you today. Yeah. How does
