Shammrie Brown is a passionate servant-leader, who is dedicated to the forward progression of urban communities and individuals in need. Originally from Grand Rapids, MI, Shammrie Brown earned an Associates Degree in Human Services from Lansing Community College, Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Aurora University, and a Master of Arts in Urban Leadership at Northern Seminary.
He serves as a Minister at New Life Encounter Church based in Chicago, IL. He writes devotions for YouVersion Bible App as a Content Partner, and authored a children's book entitled “God is a Girldad.” He lives with his wife Imani, daughter Olivia and Sailor (dog). Shammrie considers it a mere gift to serve the Lord and His people.
