Last night, something simple and beautiful happened for my friend Theresia.
Her daughter wanted to set up a lemonade stand, and although at first all Theresia could think of was the amount of work that was going to cause her as a mom (relatable!), she still said yes. They figured the sweet spot would be from 6pm to 8pm, away from the heat of the day and as families in their neighborhood were arriving home.
After setting up, Theresia took the opportunity to enjoy some fresh air and sunshine on the porch. With Spirit 105.3 playing loud and clear, she settled into a peaceful evening wrapped in worship music and the golden glow of a summer sunset.
And then, a moment of connection.
A neighbor, someone she had never met before, walked over and said, “I heard your music and I’m a believer too.”
Her words were so sweet and encouraging. In that moment, Theresia was reminded of how the love of Jesus draws us together. Spirit 105.3 wasn’t just music; it was a bridge.
Theresia told her neighbor about the summer backyard Bible study happening at another neighbor’s house. "She lives just a block away from me, but we’d never crossed paths until last night."
