Ever wondered how someone battling invisible chronic conditions, like Lyme disease and a herniated disc, finds hope and healing outside conventional medicine?

That's the fascinating journey we traverse with author and amp coil sound and P-E-M-F practitioner, Suzanne Casamento. Drawing from her powerful personal narrative,
Suzanne unfolds her venture into holistic healing methods such as somatic therapy, breathwork, meditation, and particularly, amp coil, a therapy integrating sound and PEMF.

Suzanne talks about her struggles with chronic conditions, including Lyme disease, and how she turned to alternative healing modalities such as somatic therapy, acupuncture, and energy healing to regain her health.

She introduces the audience to the revolutionary amp coil, a pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) device combined with sound therapy, and shares incredible stories of transformation, including her mother's remarkable recovery from osteoporosis.

She brings to the fore the often ignored complexities faced by patients with unseen illnesses and the struggle of locating a healthcare provider who truly comprehends their plight.

Complementing her storytelling, we delve into the science of how trauma resides in our cells and how therapeutic practices like energy healing, breathwork, and meditation can help release it.

Whether you're looking for alternative healing methods, curious about the impact of lifestyle changes on health, or simply in need of some hope and inspiration, this episode with Suzanne Casamento promises an enlightening exploration.

Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hello everyone, Welcome to our Spiritual
Spotlight series.
Today I'm joined by SuzanneCasamento.
She's an author and amp, coilsound and P-E-M-F practitioner.
She's also working on a memoirabout her healing journey, which
I'm super excited to be talkingabout.
Suzanne, thank you so much forcoming on the Spiritual
Spotlight series.
I'm happy you're here.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
I'm happy to be here.
Thank you so much for having me.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Yes, I'm very excited .
We're like woo, woo, woo.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Me too.
We're like we're alreadydancing.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
We're already dancing .
I love this.
Let me see what wonderfulquestions do I have prepared
here.
You actually suffered from alot of chronic conditions that
led you into pursuing othermodalities, such as EFT and
other things.
Can you maybe start by tellingus more about the initial moment

(00:53):
where you're dealing with a lotof back pain and emotional pain
?
What was the tipping point thatmaybe led you to seek form of
somatic therapy?
Does that make sense?
Yes, I'll get there.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
Yes, I'm following you.
I know exactly where you are.
I love it.
I was actually bitten by a tickin 2003.
I had the classic bullseye, which only 50% of cases have.
I was really lucky to actuallyknow what it was.

(01:30):
Then I was treated.
I took antibiotics and thedoctor said your test came back
clear.
Forget you ever had it.
I was like, okay, because I hadno idea.
In 2012, I moved into a littlebeach shack and it had hidden

(01:51):
mold in it.
I didn't know there was hiddenmold in it.
I didn't know I know.
Right At the time I had no ideathat mold could re-trigger Lyme
disease.
I didn't know any of this.
It started with I had chronicinfections urinary tract
infections, kidney infections,yeast infections, vaginal
infections it was horribleMassive candida infections that

(02:16):
just wouldn't go away.
Then I got dumped.
My back exploded, literally.
I had a herniated disc in mylower back and spasms.
I was unable to walk, unable tomove.
It really took me about eightmonths to be able to walk again,

(02:42):
walk normally again.
I should say there was a momentwhere I was in the beach shack
and I'm lying on the couchcrying hi, I'm pain killers, my
back is killing me.
I'm staring at the ceiling andI said I think I need to get
some help.
That was the moment I happenedto be in this writing group with

(03:05):
another woman who said oh, Iknow this amazing somatic
therapist.
You got to go and see her.
I was like what's somatictherapy?
I discovered that it is therapythat is movement.
Really.
It's learning how tore-associate with your body.
We spend our lifetimes justassociating with our bodies.

(03:30):
At least I did.
It was a combination of talkand somatic therapy that really
launched my healing journey.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
That is amazing.
I find it very interestingabout, like, for people who have
Lyme disease and it's almostlike unseen, not visible, like
chronic conditions that you knowI'm a registered nurse, I run a
doctor's office and I feel likethere's a lot of patients that
kind of fall through the cracks, you know, with invisible

(04:03):
illnesses, like and it'sinteresting like Lyme disease.
We've had patients call thatwant to be tested for mold and I
feel like, unless there's adoctor that's bought into this,
then like you're like, well, who's going to take care of me,
who's going to help me?
And I think it's amazing thatyou really turn towards this
like somatic therapist.
And then you you found otherholistic healing methods, such

(04:25):
as acupuncture, chinese herbalmedicine, breathwork, meditation
and more like you found a lotof different practices.
Can you maybe share aparticular method that had a
profound effect on your healingjourney?

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Yeah, you're so right about the doctors I mean I went
to, I went to Western doctorafter Western doctor after
Western doctor, who, who youknow, would say, well, your
tests look fine and you're good.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Your labs are normal.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Yeah, your labs are normal.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
I don't feel well.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
Exactly.
And they would ask me you know,do you think a little?
This is in your head.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Is it anxiety, is it depression?
You know, that's exactly itRight.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
So I'm being gas lit by the Western doctors.
Everywhere I went, yes, andthen yeah and so and so, like
you said, I went to Chineseherbalists, I went to homeopath,
natural paths, I mean, you know, acupuncturists, all the things
.
And the three modalities thathelped me the most were
breathwork, meditation, the ampcoil, which is the sound, and

(05:33):
PMF therapy that I'm doing now,and energy healing.
Those were the three thingsthat, like, really got me going
back to a functioning member ofsociety.
Yes, yes, yep, yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
So tell me.
I mean, I'm not familiar withamp coil and I'm also not
familiar with PEMF.
Can you please tell us whatboth of those things are Sure?

Speaker 2 (06:03):
So yeah.
So amp coil is a PEMF device.
It also incorporates soundtherapy.
So PEMF stands for Pulse, electromagnetic Fields, and
basically frequencies, right,because we're all energy, we're
all frequencies, and this devicetunes your cells to their

(06:26):
optimum frequencies.
It's basically like a tuningfork, right?
So you know, when you thinkabout all the stuff that's in
our environment, you know wehave unbreathable air, we've got
dirty water, we've got.
You know we've got heavy metalsand pesticides and everything
you know we've got you knowwe've got a lot of oil.
We've got a lot of oil we've gotare not working properly.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
They don't.
They don't.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
Where is cesspool?
Yes, where is cesspool.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
I mean really Like we're.
I'm sorry, but we we pick up alot of crap Like.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Yeah, yeah, it's in everything.
Is it what we eat?
It's in you know what webreathe.
Yeah, everything Unavoidable.
So like, if you think about anormal round healthy cell, right
, you know, traveling along withall its normal round healthy
cell friends and and operatingthe way they're supposed to be,
that's not what's happening.
You know, our cells have dentsin them.
I mean they're, you know,they're, they're, they're,

(07:23):
they're not breathing properly,they're not, they're, they're
impaired.
And so the amp coil tunes, their, tunes the cells to their
optimum frequencies and it sortof gets them like oh wait, this
is what I'm supposed to be, thisis what I'm supposed to do.
So it excites them, it helpsthem breathe and it helps them
dump their garbage.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
I okay, that is amazing.
So okay, I'm like, oh, oh, oh,so amp coil, like is this
something that you could turnthis on and I could experience
the benefits, or do I have to gosomewhere to experience the
benefits?

Speaker 2 (07:58):
So normally I run in person, one-on-one sessions Nice
.
But my my sensitive friends, Ican run a program and they can
feel it wherever they are, so Idefinitely do remote sessions
for people who are open to it.
You definitely have to be opento it, so that is amazing, like

(08:21):
cause.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
I mean, honestly, this is spiritual spotlight
series.
So all most of my listeners arein the spiritual realm, they're
empathic, they they're used toenergy healing, they're used to
you know all of these things andthis just sounds like to bring
up ourselves to an optimalvibrational frequency, sounds so

(08:41):
transformative.
So can you tell me, like, either about yourself or about
other clients that have, like, had a powerful transformation
from this type of modality andhealing?

Speaker 2 (08:51):
system Sure.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
Yeah, yeah, I'm obviously very excited.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
I know it's so exciting though.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
I mean it really is.
It really is.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
It's like oh my gosh, this is cool, it is.
I know I actually have the coilon my lap, so I'm going to show
it to you.
So this, this is what it lookslike this.
So so it looks like a donut.
It looks like a donut, but itacts like.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
It acts like a supercharged frequency machine.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
Wait there, you got it.
It's it's kind of I mean so, soyou don't hear anything when
it's on your belly.
You know you might hear a tonehere or there and sometimes it
vibrates just a little tiny bit,but it's basically like I like
to compare it, or I like to sayit's like a subwoofer to your
cells.

(09:39):
Wow, so and yeah, yeah, and ithas.
It has all these differentprograms which they call
journeys, and you know there aresome that are high level.
Relax all helps to relax yournervous system.
There's a general harmonizerthat's just super groovy and
there are things like headachehelper, deep sleep, very, you

(10:01):
know, intuitive.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
It's like yes.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
Very, and then, and then there's a general detox
album and then there it's likeyou can detox airways, liver,
kidney, brain, and that's that'sincredible.
So so it can get really finiteif you will which is really cool

(10:24):
I like that, so really good.
So about my clients yes, so Ihave the most awesome story ever
to tell you, even though it'snot my client, it's my mom but
Okay, she's a client.
She's a client, so she owns anamp coil too now and she bought
one last summer and a few yearsago she was diagnosed with

(10:46):
osteoporosis and so her lasttest was done in.
Her last bone density test wasdone in 2021.
So last summer she started ampcoiling the bone regeneration
journey on the amp coil once aweek and she did it for a year.

(11:07):
She just got her test resultsback last week and her bone
density has increased in herspine by 11%.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
Yeah, she's no longer-.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
That is amazing.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
I know.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
Wow, that's so cool.
I mean, how does she feel?
Does she feel like her bonesare stronger, or did she notice
any difference?

Speaker 2 (11:32):
Well, I don't know that she noticed a physical
difference, but I think thatshe's now so excited.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
What other journeys is she gonna run?

Speaker 2 (11:41):
I know right now she's, and she does run other
journeys all the time.
One of her favorites is calledBalance the Mind.
It just really helps withenergy and clarity and focus.
Yeah, yeah, so she's really.
I mean that story is so nearand dear to my heart because
it's my mom.
But I mean, but also like wow,I mean we have test results to

(12:02):
prove that-.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
Right, you have actual scientific evidence.
Well, and also you, like you,had chronic conditions, so it's
just like you said urinarybladder, kidney infections,
chronic line back pain.
You couldn't walk and nowyou're a healing practitioner
that's here for anyone thatwants to book a session.

(12:23):
That is amazing.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
It is.
Thank you?
I think so too.
I mean, it's funny how it allhappened.
Right, I just I was travelingIn 2021, I got rid of all my
stuff.
I got rid of my apartment, mycar, everything and I decided I
was gonna do a digital nomadjourney.
And while I was traveling, everywhere I went, somebody
needed healing.
Yeah, in Greece, there was awoman with horrible migraines,

(12:47):
so I ran headache help on her.
And there was a man with aswollen knee.
And the Caribbean, and so I rancirculation on him.
And a woman with emotionaldistress in Scotland.
So, everywhere I went, somebodyneeded help.
And that's when I decided toreturn to LA.
I was like, oh, this is whatI'm supposed to do.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
I love.
No, it's interesting because itsounds like your mom also
purchases, so are you also like?
Are you like an affiliate?
Can people like learn how to dothis from you?

Speaker 2 (13:18):
Oh yeah, Well, yes, well, no.
So I'm not an affiliate per se.
I know right, I'm not anaffiliate per se.
I am an ambassador and apractitioner.
So, yes, someone could come tome and they could get a demo,
and or if I refer them to thecompany, then I do receive some

(13:43):
monetary exchange, which is verynice because energy exchanges
are good and so that's prettyawesome.
And then I also providecoaching.
So if someone gets a new ampcoil and just isn't really sure
where to start, I do coachingcalls with them, and then,
obviously, I help people here inLA.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
Yeah, that's cool.
I'm just like.
I'm like I'm gonna hang up withyou and sign up.
So you actually are gonna.
You're writing a memoir andit's called Pre-existing
Conditions.
Can you maybe tell us a littlebit more about what to expect
for this memoir that's comingout?

Speaker 2 (14:25):
Sure, so I wrote this book.
So last summer I was at awriting retreat in Greece, which
was amazing, and everyonearound me was writing memoirs
and I was working on a novelthat I had written and I was
going to rework the structure.

(14:45):
And then three days in Irealized, oh, I'm supposed to
write a memoir about seven yearsof healing chronic Lyme disease
in a country with for-profithealth care.
And at that retreat there werewriters from all over the world

(15:06):
at the retreat and I read ascene where I had to sneak out
of the hospital because I had akidney infection and they wanted
to keep me overnight and Icouldn't afford to stay
overnight.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
No, because you were probably an observation status
and it wouldn't have beencovered.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
Exactly.
And even if it had been covered, I had one of those
catastrophic insurance planswhere it was like a $6,000
deductible and then $10,000 forhospitalization, anyway.
So I read this scene, I readthe scene out loud, and the
international writers werehorrified.

(15:43):
They just kept saying I don'tunderstand, why did you have to
leave?
I don't understand.
What do you mean?
You couldn't afford to stay.
Well, how much would somethinglike that cost?
How could this happen?
It's America, it's one of therichest countries in the world.
How could they do that to theirpeople?
And then I thought oh my God,I'm supposed to write this book.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
I'm really supposed to write this book.
It's about the American healthcare system.
It's a travesty.
It's a travesty, it is, it is,and I think it's wonderful,
though, that you can say look, you don't necessarily have to go
the Western healing route.
There are other options andother opportunities to heal

(16:20):
yourself through somatic healingand you doing the amp coil and
maybe doing holistic healing andyou don't necessarily have to
turn to OK.
Well, my doctor said and I feellike a lot of people are
turning away from doctor's wordis sacred gold, Because we can

(16:40):
go on the internet, we cansearch.
You had an epiphany, I don'twant to do this anymore.
And you were able to find thesebeautiful healing modalities.
That has transformed your lifeand transformed lives of a lot
of other people too.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
Yeah yeah, that's exactly what happened,
absolutely, and I think you'reright about people starting to
understand that there are otherways.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
Yeah.
So let me ask you this so Ilike that you became a nomad and
I know you just brought that upso, traveling around the world,
how did that nomadic lifestylecontribute to your spiritual and
emotional healing?

Speaker 2 (17:21):
Oh, it was amazing because I was so uncomfortable
in so many situations and itreally made me slow down.
My biggest lesson, I think, isthat maybe of my lifetime is to
slow down.
We don't need to be like go, go, go go go make the money, do

(17:42):
the job Again.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
American lifestyle Exactly.
So what I'm hearing is we needto move.
I know right.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
Sorry, all right, I know.
So yeah, slow down was one ofmy biggest lessons, and also
just have patience and then alsoroll with it.
I left the US and I went toBonn Air, this amazing little
island just north of Venezuela, and I had packed this big

(18:15):
suitcase because I was planningon staying there for months.
And the suitcase got lost and Ihad no I mean, I didn't even
have underwear, wow, and it waslike, and then I thought, oh my
God, all of my belongings, because I had already gotten rid
of everything my apartment, allmy things.
It wasn't like I could go hometo a closet full of clothes.

(18:36):
That was everything I owned.

Speaker 1 (18:40):
I'm like oh, thank you yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:44):
And you know what Strangers stepped in.
I had a friend of a friend wholived on the island, who I had
spoken on the phone with once.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
Oh my goodness.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
And she actually came to the airport.
Just surprised me, and she Imean which I had spoken to her
once and she took me to a store.
She helped me buy underwear.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
That's amazing, like the power of community, like
that's really beautiful.

Speaker 2 (19:10):
It was incredible, yeah, and I saw that everywhere.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
And then for you to not be like you know, I know
like just hearing this from meI'd go, but you, just you kind
of it sounds like you just kindof rolled with it, like it's
like okay, I don't have a choice.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
Yeah, I didn't have a choice.
Yeah, but I'll never forget her, jean.
I love you, jean, jean.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
We love you, we love you, jean.
Thank you, jean.
So let me ask you this Whileyou're, you're helping others
now, was there maybe a specificperson, book or event that did
aid you in your own healingjourney?

Speaker 2 (19:43):
Oh, absolutely yeah.
So in 2017, I had spent $20,000out of pocket in medical costs.
I had, like you know, thousandsof dollars worth of supplements
in my cabinets.
None of them were working.
You know, I'd been doing thesame thing like year after year
after year, and I knew I had todo something different, and I

(20:05):
just didn't know what it wasgoing to be Right.
So I Googled best energy healerin LA and Gars Chan came up,
and so I I read her Yelp reviews, which were like amazing, and
then I went to see her and itwas.
It was incredible and you knowwhat?

(20:25):
I met her at such an importanttime.
She I mean she's now has, likeyou know, 100,000 followers, and
I mean she's, you know, she'sbooked a year in advance and I
had the luxury of like seeingher in person in her home every
other week for like almost ayear and so, and it was so funny

(20:47):
because At the same time, I'dheard about the amp coil and
it's expensive.
You know, it's $8,000 for theamp coil money.
It's a lot of money, it's worthit.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
Think about $30,000, $8,000.
I mean there, there's value in.
Yes, it may be expensive, butthink of your life.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
Yeah, absolutely.
And so that was the question.
Right, was I gonna spend?
Oh, did I tell you $30,000?
I had $20,000.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
I'm sorry, I may have , I may have a proportion, guys.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
Oh, no, no, no well, because I only made $31,000 that
year because I was so sick.
So that's how upside down I wasand I was $65,000 in credit
card debt, medical costs, wow,and you know and I'd had family
that that was so kind andgenerous enough to help me above
that $65,000, you know, thewhole thing cost about a hundred

(21:35):
thousand dollars.
So so when I I was wonderingwhether or not to get to buy the
amp coil and and I mentioned itto Gars and she said that
sounds interesting.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
Does she do it now?
We both bought one and sheprobably uses intercessions now.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
She did for a long time.
I don't think she's still usingit in sessions, but but yeah, I
mean maybe she, if I don't, Idon't know.
But yeah, on that.

Speaker 1 (22:03):
So let me ask you this if anyone is interested in
booking, like a healing journey,a one-on-one session I know you
have a lot of informationthat's up on your website when
is the best place for us to goto?

Speaker 2 (22:16):
Suzanne Casamento calm.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
I love that.
And finally, what advice wouldyou offer to those who are just
beginning at their own, maybehealing journey?
Any tips or resources that youcan recommend, I?

Speaker 2 (22:32):
Absolutely.
Yes, okay, so Read the bodykeeps the score by.
I think.
What is his name?
Bessel van der Kolk.
I might be messing up his name.
It's a doctor that explains howTrauma is carried in in our

(22:53):
cells.
It kind of makes it clear that,oh, you know, there are
pre-existing conditions that arenot mine from generation to
generation to generation, and sothat that was, that was a great
book for me.
Absolutely.
Energy healing, breathwork, meditation is so incredibly
important and Just try it all.

(23:15):
Anything that comes your way,try it Because it's coming your
way for a reason.

Speaker 1 (23:20):
100% agree with you, 100% agree with you.
I feel like the universe youasked the universe, is going
into the liver and it's going tobe like oh, I'm gonna try this,
I'm gonna try this, I'm gonnatry this, and then you find your
own toolbox of what works foryou.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
Yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
Well, suzanne, thank you so much for coming on the
spiritual spotlight series.
I am so excited to learn moreabout this amp coil and this
wonderful healing modality.
I just want to say thank you so, so, so much.

Speaker 2 (23:49):
Thank you, it's really fun.
