in Dublin at noon minus three and a half at
bet Park's over Iowa State, top twenty five matchup in
the Big Twelve.

Yeah, this one has college football playoff implications because I
think these are two of the top teams in.

The Big twelve.

I know Arizona State is looked at because of what
they did last year to be that team, but I
think they're actually going to lose a lot with Cam
Skataboo and the running games is not gonna look the
same as it did. So that's really up to Sam
Levitt the quarterback, to kind of elevate his game.

But I don't think he's that good. To me, they're
like an eight nine with Tea.

I say he's not that good, but not good enough
to elevate the way they need him. So really it
comes down to I would say Kansas State for me.
Two great quarterbacks in Rockebec for the Cyclones and the
Wildcats with Avery Johnson. Campas State's lost a lot on
offense and defense, so they're trying to get some production
back from last year, or at least try and elevate

their production from last year. They only scored thirty points
per game, which is down from their previous year.

So we'll see Abray Johnson.

It was his first year starting in a second year
starting now, he could be better. But I'm actually looking
at Iowa State. They have to replace Jaydon and Higgins
and Jaleen Nowell. They're two wide receivers on the offensive side,
but they bring in Jase Soul from East Carolina and
a couple of other transfers. I just think this is
gonna be a really rock solid showing from Iowa State's
offense and just Iowa State in general. So I'm going

with the Cyclones here. A bit of an underdog at
three and a half, but I like them to win
this outright, So I'm taking them on the money line.

had to say that. I mean, the weather's starting to

this is gonna be a really good contest, you know,

their offense. Last year was a bit of a down year.
Jalen Daniels a good two years ago. Last year did
not look as great. But I actually think with last

Leopold he's a great coach. Uh it's gonna be a
bit more of an up year for Kansas. I think
they they kind of do a little bit better than
they were five to seven last year.

their offensive line and just weapons overhauled. It wasn't a
great offense, but I think a lot of the problems
do kind of stem from him, and I don't know
if it's really going to get fixed in Auburn, where
they also deal with some problems well on the offensive side.

But the problem is for their Week one game is
Georgia Tech brings back a lot of great players. The
Yellow Jackets are loaded on offense. It all starts with
Haines King and Jamal Haynes uh two really big, two
good speechers out of the backfield. King is the quarterback,
but I think he was a track athlete back in high.

School, so he's got a lot of speed.

He's been really great with Georgia Tech and they've had
a great running offense for the past two years and
I think that's just going to continue.

They should run all over Colorado. So Georgia Tech.

To me is a bit of a sleeper team when
it comes to the ACC. I know Louisville and Clemson
really just Clemson on the two talked about teams, and
Clemson is probably the overwhelming favorite, and I think they
should be. But Georgia Tech to me could be a
sleeper at the a SEC.

Yeah, that game, I believe is it's next Friday night
at eight o'clock, and I believe it's a fussome field
and Boulder, which is one of the great settings in
college sports.

Game, you skip a great Thursday game, a great rivalry
match up between the East Carolina Pirates and North Carolina
State wook Pack.

were eight and five last year, So the Pirates were okay.

revenge game. NC State Dave Jordan, I think are looking
to have a bit of a better year than they
did last year. ECU loses a lot of skilled players
that they that they had last year. They were very
good for them. Roger Harris has moved on, he was
a senior last year, a couple of transfers from wide receiver.

They do have a couple of good ones. Anthony Smith
I think his name is tall, quick guy, so a
really good vertical threat. But it's going to be tough
to replace a lot of that production. So I actually
kind of like the wolf Pack. Get the eleven and

It is fascinating Belichick. He is he is definitely trying
to take advantage of the fact that he This is

of any school in that state, and he is going
to basically have like just say on anything, he can
do whatever he wants.

a disaster just because it feels like he's trying to
prove a point in a point in his career where
I don't think he has a point to prove. So

one is gonna be the start of that disaster. And
give me TCU the horn, Frost, I think.

When there's another way of looking at that, though, John,
I understand exactly what you're saying. But this is Bill
Belichick we're talking about, and I get it.

I think he can out coach a lot of the
guys he's going to be coaching now. I could be wrong,
but I used to see him out coach guys in
the NFL almost every week with his defense what he did.

Got bad New England teams, he out coached a lot,

Got even a little bit left in the tank, and
I'm assuming he's got fairly good assistance around him or whatever,
I'm not saying that, but I can see them being
like a decent team, like a six and six, seven
and five kind of team.

My theory is he's stealing money on the way out
the door. Well that's David, but.

All just depends on like how serious.

I know he's probably gonna taket serious, but he's also
he's going on book tours. He did more interviews and
I think I've ever seen Bill Belichon do. It's it's
a little bit of a different kind of Bill than
we saw in New England. And so I just I'm
not sure if that discipline is going that we saw
in New England is going to work its way into college.

Yeah, David, any any of these college football in general,
David will be doing the Bulova games with a student
radio station again, going on a football, men's basketball, women's basketball,
any of these team slash games early on Stick out

Well, I'll talk a little bit about Belichick really quick.
I agree with you know what you guys were talking about.
You're seeing a little bit more personality from Belichick, which
is something that I don't know if the Patriots intentionally
tried to.

Keep you know closed he did, he did.

I agree, So you're seeing definitely a little bit more personality.
But I really like, you know what Mike said about
you know, I mean, Bill Belichick is one of the
best coaches of all time. You could very well say
he is the best coach of all time, absolutely, and
I just think, you know, him against a lot of
these college coaches, I think that he has a really
good opportunity to take advantage there. But I think he's
also going to use this kind of I don't necessarily
want to say his legacy tour, but I think in

a way it kind of is, you know, it could
be you know, his last job, and you know, we'll
see kind of, you know, what happens after this, But
I think this is an opportunity for him to kind of,
you know, make a lot of money and kind of
show in a way his personality because I don't think
a lot of people have seen a lot of that,
and we'll see if he can make more money off
of it. So I think North Carolina is going to
start the season. We'll see it's still they do. But

I think, you know, when they match up a lot
of these teams earlier in the year, I think the
main question is is going to be but what does
Belichick do? And I think just in the early part
of the season, I think the Belichick and UNC could
start off the season hot, just because I think he
is kind of a mystery card in terms of, you know,
what is he going.

To do with the college level.

You know, people know his playbook with the Patriots, but
obviously a much different story in North Carolina. So I
think UNC could start the season hot just because of
the fact that it is somewhat of a mystery of

Wildcats with Avery Johnson. Campas State's lost a lot on
offense and defense, so they're trying to get some production
back from last year, or at least try and elevate

their production from last year. They only scored thirty points
per game, which is down from their previous year.

It was his first year starting in a second year
starting now, he could be better. But I'm actually looking
at Iowa State. They have to replace Jaydon and Higgins

but they bring in Jase Soul from East Carolina and
a couple of other transfers. I just think this is
gonna be a really rock solid showing from Iowa State's
offense and just Iowa State in general. So I'm going

with the Cyclones here. A bit of an underdog at
three and a half, but I like them to win
this outright, So I'm taking them on the money line.

It is fascinating Belichick. He is he is definitely trying
to take advantage of the fact that he This is

North Carolina made him the largest paid public public employee
of any school in that state, and he is going
to basically have like just say on anything, he can
do whatever he wants.

And I just think it's it's gonna end up being
a disaster just because it feels like he's trying to
prove a point in a point in his career where
I don't think he has a point to prove. So
it's just it's gonna be It's gonna be a mess.
I think it North Carolina, honestly, So I think Week
one is gonna be the start of that disaster. And
give me TCU the horn, Frost, I think.

When there's another way of looking at that, though, John,
I understand exactly what you're saying. But this is Bill
Belichick we're talking about, and I get it.

I think he can out coach a lot of the
guys he's going to be coaching now. I could be wrong,
but I used to see him out coach guys in
the NFL almost every week with his defense what he did.

Got even a little bit left in the tank, and
I'm assuming he's got fairly good assistance around him or whatever,

My theory is he's stealing money on the way out

I think I've ever seen Bill Belichon do. It's it's
a little bit of a different kind of Bill than
we saw in New England. And so I just I'm
not sure if that discipline is going that we saw
in New England is going to work its way into college.

David will be doing the Bulova games with a student
radio station again, going on a football, men's basketball, women's basketball,

Well, I'll talk a little bit about Belichick really quick.
I agree with you know what you guys were talking about.
You're seeing a little bit more personality from Belichick, which
is something that I don't know if the Patriots intentionally
tried to.

I agree, So you're seeing definitely a little bit more personality.
But I really like, you know what Mike said about
you know, I mean, Bill Belichick is one of the
best coaches of all time. You could very well say
he is the best coach of all time, absolutely, and
I just think, you know, him against a lot of
these college coaches, I think that he has a really
good opportunity to take advantage there. But I think he's
also going to use this kind of I don't necessarily
want to say his legacy tour, but I think in
(20:46):
a way it kind of is, you know, it could
be you know, his last job, and you know, we'll
see kind of, you know, what happens after this, But
I think this is an opportunity for him to kind of,
you know, make a lot of money and kind of
show in a way his personality because I don't think
a lot of people have seen a lot of that,
and we'll see if he can make more money off
of it. So I think North Carolina is going to
start the season. We'll see it's still they do. But
(21:07):
I think, you know, when they match up a lot
of these teams earlier in the year, I think the
main question is is going to be but what does
Belichick do? And I think just in the early part
of the season, I think the Belichick and UNC could
start off the season hot, just because I think he
is kind of a mystery card in terms of, you know,
what is he going.

To do with the college level.

You know, people know his playbook with the Patriots, but
obviously a much different story in North Carolina. So I
think UNC could start the season hot just because of
the fact that it is somewhat of a mystery of
kind of Belichick's whole plan being down there in North Carolina.

His reputation and Dick could be totally right.
Speaker 7 (21:41):
His reputation in the last three or four years right
has taken a hit. He's got six Super Bowl rings,
but people now, why you know he only won because
of breedy?

Well, no, his defenses were pretty damn good.

But I think he's got something to prove, even if
it's only to himself that I think the last thing
Bill wants to do was go to Carolina and go
three and nine. I just and again, he's not gonna
win the aces.

North Carolina has a pretty good tradition of pretty good football.
It's not like they're just short, right, and they've had
some very good teams since I hate him.

more mentally ready to go than any quarterback. He's thrown
ninety something passing college football, which is more than the
other side that nobody's talking about. Julian Sen has thrown

twelve college passes? What about his inexperience? Why is nobody
talking about Ohio State losing their starting quarterback, their offensive coordinator,
their defensive coordinator. It's all about Well, arch Manning hasn't
played that much. Ohio States quarterback hasn't either, So like,

you know, brad Ledge. I mean, you know, everybody's.

I mean just being able to It's so hard to
believe that Duran, with one hundred and three mile hour

I mean, it's it's just been been brutal and he
is the Phillies closer. I think last night was just

I mean, they beat the Mets in the series two
or three in DC. They spoke with the Phillies. I mean,
they're a really tough team.

You know, when you look at the win and loss record,
you know they're not good. You know they're in the
bottom of the division. But they're a really good team.
And they have a lot of young talent. I mean,
James Wood is going to be a really really good player,

to come along to Gore kind of struggled in the
second half over the last couple of weeks, but I
mean he's a really good pitcher as well. So they
have a lot of young talent. Nationals are gonna be
good in a couple of years.
