of topics to get to in the next two hours.
The Sad Sack have lost five in a row. They
are thirteen and thirteen and it's might just put it
out to me. They're basically five hundred since late since

(01:07):
last July. They including the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
He swept the Dodgers in a three game series last
July seven, eight nine or something. Since then, there are
two games over well, no, two games over five hundred
if you throw in the three games with four games
at Themester are exactly five home.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Yeah, not good. Ninety four at home, four to nine
on the road. Not good.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
Couple of news items that we'll get to, obviously. The
big news and sports at the moment is Shador Sanders,
the terrific quarterback from Colorado, has gone through. They've gone
through one hundred and two picks. He has not yet
been selected. He was minus six hundred to go in
round one. Now he's going in round four. If he
goes at all. It's just a bizarre situation. Kentucky Derby

(01:48):
is a week from today. Big horse racing news around
here at Parks. It was announced late Thursday morning that
on August first and Saratoga Springs, the greatest tourse in
the history of Petsylvany new Smarty Jones will be going
into the racing Hall of a huge deales. Long story,
but he's it.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
I got you.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
Uh. Eagles Draft, We'll get to. They've made two picks.
They did not have a third round pick. We'll get
into that. Here's the question of the day for everybody.
Since we're in the middle now of the first round
of the NBA playoffs. How many X sixers are in
the playoffs? And I have them all, and what's the number.

(02:32):
I'll throw that out first, try to see what we
can get with X six three X sixers. There's sixteen
teams obviously playing, so keep that in mind. Doc count
not coaches, just players. But yeah, if Doc Rivers counted, that.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Would be one.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
Because Michael Bridges one more exod question X six ers,
he's not sixer.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
I'm sure he's on the list.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
I'll go I'll go eleven, eleven, Mike, Wow, I'll go higher.
All right, I'm trying in my in my head, I'm
trying to and and some of them.

Speaker 5 (03:11):
Oh, and I just I'm looking up the scores. I
just saw who the Lakers have to h.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
You don't don't look at don't look at box scores.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
I mean Tobias Haires would have been three the other night.
Didn't save them. My guess is out there already. I
love it.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
I'm just going over. It's like the price is right
on the number. Uh god, fourteen two touchdowns seventeen.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Oh, here's what we'll do each each each segment.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
We'll do one series.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
All right, we'll start off what you got to do
with We'll we'll start off with the Celtics and the Magic.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Are who's on the Celtics? How hor Uhue Holliday? Holliday?

Speaker 3 (03:55):
I don't know the Magic very well.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
The Magic they don't still have markel folds? Then they
do not? That's it as far as I know. Mark L.
Fultz is not If he's in the league, he ain't
the playoffsky. I think he's in the league.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
He might not be so so just just two for
the Celtics.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
True Holiday? Who was.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
The Sixers had at True Holiday? It was Sam Hackey's
first ever moved. They traded him for the rights to
Nerlins Noel?

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Is that correct?

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Does that sound right?

Speaker 2 (04:25):
How'd that work out?

Speaker 3 (04:26):
Not?

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Well? Is Neurlin still playing? Is he in the playoffs?
I don't think he's in the playoffs at least I
didn't see him. Was he in the league? He's playing?

Speaker 3 (04:34):
And look, I may have I may have missed one
or two, but my number is seventeen.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Don't look anything up here? No, I'm checking MARKL. Fults.
That's fine.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Yeah, I think he's still in Kings right there you go,
not in the playoffs, play in not the playoffs. Uh
so only only two in that series. And we'll get
to the rest of him as we go through the
through the day. So Mike, let's start with you, uh
your thoughts on the whole Shador Sanders thing. Obviously it's
the biggest topic in sport at the momental. What in

(05:02):
our memory, nothing like this has ever happened before. You
have a player who is everybody said, all right, he's
going to be the second quarterback off the board, or
a month ago or two months ago, he might have
been a top five pick up the first pick, but
minus six hundred to be in the first round, and
he has not yet been picked, and we're in the
day three.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
There weren't many teams that needed quarterbacks because like six
of them went in the first twelve picks this year,
So that might have something to do with sure numbers.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
So you're looking at the teams they could have.

Speaker 4 (05:31):
The Giants didn't take him at three because they took
what they think is a generational type player in abdul.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
And High School, in Penn State, yep. But then they traded.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
Back up in the first round and took the kid
from Mississippi, Jackson Dirt, which.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
You know what, this is what you do, you evaluate teams.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
Sure, and as we mentioned, Dak Prescott was a fourth
round pick.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
The guy from Missigan Stake or Cousins and fourth and
there was another one.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
I can't you know, so not every quarterback that turns
out to be pretty good quarterback goes in the first
you know, nine pis I don't know, like I just
can't imagine. And again when you got to like the
third round, there was only maybe two teams that were
going to take quarterbacks.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
But then the guy from Alabama.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
Went ahead of them by Seattle, which I thought was
a little Dylan Gabriel from.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
He goes That's right, he did, That's right.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
The player whose name has escaped me huff for something
from Louisiana Tech was.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Louisa Well Louisville was Tyler Shaw. And there's I think
there was what yeah, maybe that's the guy I'm thinking of.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
Yeah, and I know a lot of people like him.
I mean what I mean, is there a chance he
might not get drafted? I'm kind of thinking we're at
that stage now. And when you hear every evaluator on television,
it wasn't just mel Kaiper was going his top guns.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
Fine, but he isn't the only one.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
I mean, the former, all kinds of NFL guys, Dan Alobski,
all of them are like, what just happened here? It's
just it's just a weird circumstance. Kyle, you got any
sense of why this might have happened? I mean, I
I don't know. I'm a little confused.

Speaker 5 (06:59):
The only thing I can think of is that it's
something that we don't know about yet and something comes
out later on. Hopefully that's not the case, because obviously
it would be something negative.

Speaker 4 (07:08):
But somebody said last night, I don't know who, so
I guess that he didn't interview well whatever that means
with thirty two teams, Well you didn't interview.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
With the right I mean. But yeah, again, I'm just listening.

Speaker 5 (07:22):
But I get the first round, I mean, only two
quarterbacks when the first one was a given no.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
And not a lot of teams just Mike said didn't
need a.

Speaker 5 (07:29):
Quarterback exactly, So I'm like, okay, that's that's fine.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
Pittsburgh did not have a second round pick.

Speaker 5 (07:34):
Looking back at it, it probably would have been a good
bet to have Sanders not go in the first round.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
He probably did some because you got a big number.
I was thinking.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
I was thinking that you'd gotten probably plus four hundred.
It was minus six hundred the other one.

Speaker 5 (07:45):
But then, as I was telling you guys, I'm scrolling
through the picks just to you know, reevaluate everybody's picks
this morning, and I'm looking at the third round. I
see Gabriel, I see Shawl, I see mill Row, and
I'm like, wait, let me get back to the second rounds. So, yeah,
it's very shocking. I thought for sure he was going
to be like an early second round or who did

(08:06):
the Saints take Tyler Shaw in the first round?

Speaker 2 (08:09):
No?

Speaker 3 (08:09):
No, which quarterback did they take Shaw from Louisville? Okay, yeah,
there was a lot of speculations about New Orleans taking.

Speaker 4 (08:16):
So the only team that needs a quarterback that hasn't
dign Pittsburgh.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
Yeah, I can sayce Cleveland took Gabriel.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
Pittsburgh sounds like they think Aaron Rodgers is coming to
play there.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
Good luck to that. Who knows what Aaron Rodgers I mean?

Speaker 3 (08:29):
The owner said last night, they feel pretty confident Rogers.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Well they better hope so, because right right they have
Mason Rudolph. Rudolph. Yeah, I mean, is that really what
you want to depend on?

Speaker 5 (08:39):
It's not, but considering what they have right now in the.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
Cleveland have taken a quarterback. I mean maybe Cleveland now
if you're in the fourth round, they did Sitzers, who
they take? They took Dylan Gabriel. Yet, yeah, they did
the gods yes, oh my gosh.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
No. They multiple teams that clearly need quarterbacks or going.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
To need one, had opportunities and said no.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
So yeah. The bizarre thing is that you didn't hear
anything from any of the really good NFL reporters about
why this might be happening. And obviously there's some guys
that have really good so I don't think they know. Yeah,
it's just weird. And look, we watched them play. I mean,
we we all know football here. He's a terrific player.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
There's no argument about that the fact that he was playing.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
Obviously had some very good receivers, but his offensive line
was like maybe the worst than history.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
I mean, for two years.

Speaker 4 (09:31):
We've seen players slide before players but the knocks that
I can gather from watching knocks if you want, I'm
using the word quotations. Doesn't have the strongest arm, but
has a good arm. It's very accurate, very accurate. He
apparently holds onto the ball a little too long, but
again his line stunk.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
And I think one things that.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
Some people might be questioned, he's only been coached by
his dad. I mean, and I'm not saying that's a
bad thing, good, whatever, but his whole life he's had
his father coaching him, and his father is a very
dynamic kind of guy. Absolutely, there was even somebody speculating
and the team might not take him because if God
forbid it didn't work out, then the team would be
looking to hire his dad.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (10:15):
I can't believe that the people were that insecure at
the NFL level, but I just find it hard to believe.
And look, Jaylen Milbro, it might turn out to be
a good player. He has potential. The guy from what.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
You would think.

Speaker 3 (10:32):
I would but he came is a phenomenal, ridiculous athlete,
you know.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
I mean, he's up there with the Lamar Jackson.

Speaker 4 (10:40):
There was even people in the first round when he
when he got past the Saints.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
And nobody's.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
But the guys on there on were basically saying the
Saints ain't taking them. Somebody knew something, sure, and then
it came down the pit.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
But to me, the weird one was when the Giants
moved back into the first round and didn't take them. Well,
what would have been interesting is if the Giants had
gotten the Heisman Trophy winner m h.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
Would they have then maybe taken schedule interesting, put them together?

Speaker 3 (11:12):
Why not?

Speaker 2 (11:12):
Obviously had a great run of Colorado. Yeah, Now did
you like the.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
Move that the Jacksonville made the See, I'm a I'm
a fan. I get and I understand where the Browns
are coming from. They just they think they need players. Jacksonville,
they might have gotten a legendary player. And when you
have an opportunity to get a potential NFL legend, go
for Cleveland. Did get a lot And absolutely I'm with you. See,

(11:38):
I don't believe this is I want to go for
the legends because there aren't They ain't that many of them.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
This kid has that chance to a lot of people's points.
They gave up a lot to basically fill two positions. Yeah,
well that's right, that's the way they loved at Now
my concern is, I don't know how long that's gonna last.
I can't believe. I can't.

Speaker 5 (11:55):
I can't believe he plays a ten year career playing
two positions.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
I mean, the only guy that's done it in recent
memory is right now again, someone he didn't play full time.

Speaker 4 (12:08):
Of course, I think if I'm hunted, I'm being a
wide receiver because wide receivers make forty million. Yes, d
backs make half that. So but again, and I understand.
I love the fact that he's saying, hey, I can
do this. Can you can't do it? Yeah, very physically
when you have to learn at the NFL level. Now
he can, But he could be like a full time

(12:30):
receiver and play some second ay, I formally believe that.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
You know, watching him play at Colorado, Mike, I think
he's a very good defensive back.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
I think he's like Randy Moss. I agree with you.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
Wide receiver, No, I think he has that. He's way
better as a wide receive.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
But I think Ryan Thomas over and Jacksonville.

Speaker 4 (12:49):
I think if you made him a full time d
bat that wasn't was maybe only playing offense a little
bit right, I think.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
He'd be a full PROD fine defensive back.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
But I'm with you. I think this guy I've something. Yeah,
and then you throw him in, maybe you put him in.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
Some packages on defense, you know whatever.

Speaker 3 (13:05):
But he's gonna make a lot of money. He's a
He's a big guy, right, isn't he like six two
sixty three, like two twenty five. I mean, looks check
it out for me, Gosic mon, he just looks like
one of the like Randy wos like one of the.

Speaker 4 (13:18):
Sixth one and listening the Jacksonville's got a new coach, right,
he can't comes in there. I think they got to
sit him down at some point say long, we we
love what and we and we will well. But and
the big thing in Jacksonville was is the quarterback going
to take advantage just because he's basically close to being
a flop?

Speaker 2 (13:33):
Yeah, I mean you got you got to Hotel Janson.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
But they're not wrong, They're not wrong.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
I don't think he's a flop.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
I'm just saying that he's head if he doesn't do
anything in the next couple of years with a new
coach and this receiver.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
Yeah, you're right, I mean two receivers. Brian Thomas, very
good player. So the Sanders thing.

Speaker 3 (13:54):
But I mean and the team that took third, I
mean the Giants did get a great player, Aftil Carter terrific. Yeah,
I mean edge rushers. Man, they changed, they changed the
whole dynamic. So let's do Eagles for a second. Johan Campbell,
the linebacker slash edge rusher from Alabama as an injured
shoulder may or may not be ready to play at

(14:15):
the beginning of the season, but he played for Alabama.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
More enough set and the other guy played for Texas.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
Started in clubs and then ended up as a safety
in Texas. So they got a corner back, they got
a linebacker, which they needed. They got a safety, which
they needed. They still need a tight end, need some
defensive lineman. Well, they need a tight end. If Goddard's
gonna get traded, I just don't see him being here
for the twelve million. But I could be defensive lineman.
That that's obviously that's gonna I.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
Think you can find them.

Speaker 4 (14:44):
I mean, I don't mean you just picked guys off
the street, But what ask you, guys, what do you
think of the running back from boys? You going said?
Because well, listen, we've been here for years. Out of
run okay, I think and the guy Baltimore also, he
was a free agent.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
But we saw the Falcons take the guy to Bejon Robinson,
and I thought that was a great pic that they mean,
you know, but changed. He looks like a potentials major.
He looks like, to me, what.

Speaker 4 (15:15):
You just said about what you just said about Hunter?
I think this guy and what team did? He raids Vegas?

Speaker 2 (15:21):
Okay, so they have to and Carol, Look, Carol likes
to run the ball. I mean, he's gonna They were
They were all over that talking about how that's a
great pick for Vegas because Pete Carroll's just going to
run the ball, run the ball.

Speaker 6 (15:33):
Run.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
I look, they have no who's their quarter They don't
have a quarter.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
They don't have a quarterback, isn't it? That's right? They
do have it, they do, they already have.

Speaker 5 (15:45):
Believe the best tight end in football did did the
Rake Currents guy.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
Did the Rah He's no, he's phenomenal.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
There was three guys. Richardson who's really good him and
I didn't know as much about Jalen Carter because I
because he was an interior Lineman Richardson, the guy went
to the from Alabama.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
Yeah, that went to Texans at Richardson's back Iniapolis. I
know what you're talking about. The linebackers.

Speaker 3 (16:10):
The line back he was thirty one at Alabamas.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
Anderson I always say he's great.

Speaker 3 (16:16):
But Bower you conte when Bowers are frishdiculous. So the
Raiders have Bowers, Gino and Ashton jen do they have
Here's an interesting point, do they have another quarterback? Uh?

Speaker 2 (16:29):
If you're the Raiders, would you think about taking the
chador and say, hey.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
Yeah, Gino is not twenty five years old. No, you're
gonna you're gonna learn it. You're gonna sit and learn
for a year or two. I was also thinking the
Jets too. I mean they got Justin Fields? Is he
the Jets? They committed to Justin Fields? They paid them,
they're paying them money, so they're.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
Yeah, but how many years? Though?

Speaker 5 (16:50):
I don't I don't think it's a lot of years.
Vegas just has Aidan O'Connell backing up. But I mean,
you answer your question, No, they don't have another quarter
and you don't think I think some team could read
like Pittsburgh.

Speaker 4 (17:01):
Here's another thing trade for the guy in Atlanta that
might not be playing Kirk Cousin.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
I mean that's sure.

Speaker 3 (17:07):
Forgot training camp is still for four months at a
lot of stuff could happen. Uh, we'll get into the
NBA playoffs in a minute. We got four games today
for tomorrow, a lot of a couple of months. AI
is gonna end today. The Oklahoma State it's going to
end today.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
That was it was a fluke play.

Speaker 3 (17:26):
I think they would have won. I think the grizz
would have won that game. Yeah, they were gonna win again.
They were up at thirty. Yeah, they were definitely.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
Well tell you what for Okie's Casey to come back
from that far on the road, they're good.

Speaker 3 (17:36):
Yeah, good luck beating them, beating them.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
Somebody's gonna see if they can do it or not.

Speaker 3 (17:43):
For the people that didn't stay up late last night,
Lebron was sensational.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
He had thirty eight. Uh, Luca was sick.

Speaker 3 (17:52):
Luca was sick and look really out of it, even
more than usual. McDaniel's at thirty and at twenty nine.
Milwaukee or Minnesota scored all the points at the end.
They beat the Lakers to go up to two to one.
Lakers better wing Game four, that would be helpful. Orlando
beat Boston, No Drew Holliday. The thing that surprised me
about this series is Orlando's done a phenomenal job of

(18:14):
taking Boston's three point shooters out. They've had trouble scoring.
But again, no Drew Holiday last night, So no teats
put that name. Did Tatum play? Oh, I'm sorry, he
was fine. Oh I'm sorry, he was fine.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
And then what's his name?

Speaker 4 (18:27):
The other guy, Jalen Brown got whacked at some point
in the game. He got late, yeah, to the ground
or something.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
The Celtics had the game, looked like they had the
game in hand at the end of the first half.
Then Orlando went nuts in the third quarter. The Celtics
had eleven in the third court. Then they had the ball,
the chance to win the game. They just didn't. They
just didn't do it. So a couple we'll get into
that a little bit. So the two the two Sixers players,
Campbell it was from South Jersey and Macoba. Is that

(18:54):
how I'm saying that Mcoba Andrew Maccoba from Texas?

Speaker 2 (18:58):
Am I saying that right? I don't know who that is?

Speaker 3 (19:00):
That's the same that got the kid from West Saint
the safety. Oh you're talking about yeah football, I know
you're talking about X six or Yeah, we thought we
were talking about six Eagles draft Campbell from South Jersey
and Macoba.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
From mccoba from Texas, timber Lake. Yeah, but Coop, excuse me,
a lot of Philadelphia kids. I mean that the kid
is from lasal right, abdual quarters erect. That is correct.

Speaker 3 (19:24):
Well, so what don't we think about the Eagles picks?
Mike look good, position, Howie the last his last four
second round picks five might be five. Yeah, and one
year they didn't have a second round pick. Have all
made the Pro Bowl?

Speaker 2 (19:38):
Yeah? So if Howie doesn't do well this year, you know,
I mean, I don't.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
Know this kid.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
How these words were? We had this kid as a
top ten pick, right, They were trying to trade for him,
they said for more than so you.

Speaker 4 (19:50):
Know what if they got the guy at thirty two
or thirty one, I guess they moved up one.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
Yep, good for them.

Speaker 4 (19:56):
And I know nothing about the kid from Texas except
he played Fred watched it in the playoffs last who
watched a few highlights last night?

Speaker 2 (20:02):
He looked good. But everybody looks good in the highlights,
and nobody seems to know what to say. I actually
watched his low lights last night. I don't like that.

Speaker 4 (20:09):
Is the Alabama guy gonna be an off side linebacker
or is he going to be an edge rusher?

Speaker 2 (20:14):
Maybe?

Speaker 5 (20:14):
I mean both, a little bit of both. That's what
I was gonna say. That's what I like about that
pick because it seems like he can do both. He
can maneuver however they want him to. And I think
to start the season you're not gonna have Nacobe Dean.
I think he's gonna be plugged into the drop back
linebacker role. And then when Nacobe Dean comes back, hopefully
you know, looking like his old self, then you can

(20:35):
utilize him as an edge rusher.

Speaker 3 (20:36):
So my question, that's a perfect world. Yeah, here we
are in April. Who are the who are the defensive
ends for the Eagles at the bout.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
A Jomo Well, the guy hoff right that didn't play
much less.

Speaker 3 (20:49):
Sweat has gone Brandon Graham retired. So that would be
my bit. That's the next issue. Maybe they'll get it
free agency, They'll get it somewhere. I don't know, you
don't here's the problem with you.

Speaker 4 (21:01):
It's not a problem because you just won the Super
Bowl and you won sixteen in your last seventeen games,
so there's not a problem. The best statement, yeah, and
whatever you think where they're won the best four or five, six, whatever. Okay,
I like, by the way, I like too the Chiefs
got they got that lineman from Ohio State.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
Who appeared Ohio States.

Speaker 3 (21:21):
I know why they won the title. Michigan finished so bad.
They had three guys taken into the final fifteen one
and the one guy dropped defense. But I mean Ohio State.
There was a point in the second round or like
every the two running backs went picks. But if the
Eagles lost a lot, I mean they had a lot
of needs.

Speaker 4 (21:41):
It wasn't like they went in the draft. I mean
there were people saying the Gas are using another cornerback.
There was people saying, like you said that defensive linemen offense,
they were fairly set.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
You know, they didn't really unless they trade the tight end.
They need nobody on offense, that's correct.

Speaker 4 (21:55):
I mean they have Calcatara, not that Calcaterra is the
answer Dallas. Yeah, but the guy to get draft might
not be Dallas Gotter either, So if that's what they're
gonna somebody else.

Speaker 5 (22:03):
Too, that we might be overlooking at Rusher. Yeah, I
mean he had flashes last he's good in the Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (22:12):
Everybody, everybody sweat how much money did sweat met the
Super Bowl?

Speaker 2 (22:17):
Who looked bad in the Super Bowl? Nobody?

Speaker 4 (22:20):
They look They lost Williams and he was a really
good player for good solid rotation.

Speaker 2 (22:25):
I'm not paying him that money though. Here's my thing.

Speaker 4 (22:28):
Total, So last year we said if the defense went
from thirtieth to twelfth, hey, we'll be fine.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
First year.

Speaker 3 (22:34):
If the defense goes from first to twelfth, their offense
is just going to have to do more, and you
know what they can't. Their offense can't, no doubt. So yeah,
I mean I'm su already seen their schedules is going
to be.

Speaker 4 (22:46):
Brutal, brutal, So they're probably were looking at if they
win eleven or twelve you know games, that's probably pretty good.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
And it's one of the toughest schedules I've ever seen.

Speaker 3 (22:54):
It's the NFL given because they wont you know, they
had the best record last year of the second.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
And when's that schedule? Really? My current.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
I love Colleen on a couple of other items. Tomorrow
at eleven thirty, Mike Kern. Unfortunately for you on Peacock
at Anfield, Liverpool and Spurs. They clinch if the Liverpools
win or tie in the Premier League. And there's like

(23:25):
six games left, right, six matches left? Four Yeah, so
that the it's the sore. They're twelve points up on Arsenal.
Arsenal has four games left if they win or tie tomorrow, Arsenal.

Speaker 2 (23:36):
Can catch does anybody over there?

Speaker 3 (23:38):
It's awesome?

Speaker 2 (23:39):
Care but this is the way they do it.

Speaker 4 (23:41):
I mean, because we're in America, we're so playoff oriented,
like we're like, you know, okay, make the playoffs and.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
Then yeah, you know what, they're old school season starts
in August and ends in Maven doing this for that's
how we do it.

Speaker 2 (23:53):
You have the best record over the entire season, you're
the champions. What a concept?

Speaker 3 (23:57):
Yeah? Yeah, not the NFL or not not in uh,
the NBA or the NF leave half the teams out
of the play Yeah.

Speaker 4 (24:06):
They re signed Mo and they re signed that other guy, right,
Virginians pretty good, greatest defender on So yeah, Liverpool, Yes,
every venue is I'm a Liverpool fan.

Speaker 2 (24:15):
So I'll be watching tomorrow and Ave at thirty and
I'll give Mike.

Speaker 4 (24:18):
Updates because he does not have I'm going to predict
and and and felts pretty good, right or who they playing.

Speaker 3 (24:25):
They're playing Spurs, Spurs. They stink, so I'll say three
to one three.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
One, all right.

Speaker 5 (24:32):
I like, fine, you can bootleg it for current good
live streaming from your phone as you're filming.

Speaker 4 (24:37):
The one time I watched the game, they lost to somebody.
I mussed them. They had like fifty shots on goal
and didn't score.

Speaker 3 (24:46):
Out in the Champions League, and I may never get
over that. Real Madrid had one shot, they won one shot.
That's soccer, though, So it's a lot like hockey in
that way. Drive absolutely crazy, uh, completely insane. It's just
some playf games. Today Cleveland minus five and a half

(25:07):
at Miami.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
Cleveland leads two nothing.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
Okay, see as I said, minus fifteen on the road
at Memphis.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
Chance to clear it out.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
The reason they're such a big favorite, No, John Moran,
the Clippers is, I think we advertised last week, are
playing great.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
Nobody in the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (25:24):
Is playing better than Kawhi Leonar right now, he's been
on Denver's kind of Denver's kind of a mess. Yes,
Clippers minus six. They lead the series two to one.
They really probably should lead three. Oh, they had Game
one one in Denver and kind of gave it away
Golden State. And we do not know about Jimmy Butler
whether he's going to play or not. He got injured

(25:44):
in Game two minus three and a half at home
against Uston. That series is one one to one. We
can go over to the individual games. Anything stick after
you might there in any of those games.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
This is what sticks you out to me.

Speaker 4 (25:58):
Kawhi Leonard and we've been cheating the last five years
because he's been injured yep, for whatever I mean. Lots
of guys we could make since he.

Speaker 3 (26:06):
Gone, since he went to the Clippers after they won
the title with the Rapids.

Speaker 4 (26:09):
Well, there are people who speculated he was hurt that
year too and basically gutted it out and found a
way to get it done. He right now as we speak,
right now, I gotta believe he's one of the top
five players playing, no question.

Speaker 3 (26:20):
And he shot fifteen for nineteen and most of those
I mean, and he just looks like and he's one
of the best defenders around. He does that player, he's
the ultimate two way player. And you know, and Harden's
playing well, the big guys is playing.

Speaker 4 (26:37):
I mean, they've got a chance. I think Okac is
the real deal. I think that's going to be. You know,
people have been talking for months that's the next series
the Clippers, and that'll that'll be that'll be tough. But man,
I mean, I just appreciate the fact that for the
last two and a half months I've gotten to see
Kawhi Leonard as Kawhi Leonard should be absolutely and it's amazing.

(26:59):
I mean it is just.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
Yep, uh Kyle, anything stick out to you.

Speaker 3 (27:04):
And again we'll go over all these games individually at
some point of these four that are today and tonight.

Speaker 5 (27:10):
No, I mean, the biggest thing is, I know, the
Jammerant injury happened, but even before that, okayse is just
you know, making a statement that they're they're not the
young team anymore that needs the experience.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
They had the experience.

Speaker 4 (27:25):
I don't care about them making a statement now. I
wanted to make a statement for me.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
The next year. Yeah that's the case. Yes, that's why
they got knocked out last year. And look what they
did was but at least showed growth from last no doubt.
They brought back all the young, high end talent and
added Hartenstein for the Knicks, who's just a.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
Guy that helps you win games? Yes, he does?

Speaker 3 (27:45):
And Caruso for the Polls, who is another guy that
just helps you win?

Speaker 2 (27:48):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (27:48):
They were the perfect older Vets to bring in with
that group. And again major credit to Sam Presty, who
built one championship team and lost it through free agent.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
See basically, where was that at and Oklahoma State? He
was the guy, he's been there at.

Speaker 3 (28:04):
Durant hardened I got so Westbrook consecutive drafts and when Frank,
I mean, Durant was the only obvious guy to me.
Neither of the other two guys were that obvious at
the time, and he hit on them both. But yeah,
now he's done it again. After having it, I didn't
realize the same guy. He's been there long.

Speaker 5 (28:22):
But the other thing was, I know this isn't a
game today, but to the Lakers, are they hovering over
the panic button?

Speaker 2 (28:30):
They had him down to long?

Speaker 3 (28:31):
Yeah, it's gonna be fascinating. I mean again, the game
last night, they certainly played well enough to win. Luca
was sick. But having said that, I wrote this, I
was thinking this this morning, Lucas starting to get and
again forget last night.

Speaker 2 (28:44):
It wasn't fair because you could see he just he
had nothing.

Speaker 3 (28:47):
But Luca, Trey Young, who he was traded for, Russell Westbrook,
and I could name a few others are phenomenal talents
who to me are not ultimate win players. Yeah, that's
my impression. And prove would job one of those guys.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
Yeah, I mean undred percent. Your Dad's always looked fantastic,
But at the end of the day, I've always felt
that way about Trey Young. Yeah, he's he's just doctor.

Speaker 3 (29:16):
I give Luca credit because he did get him to
the finals last year.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
They did, but I I agree, wouldn't be wild. Think
about this.

Speaker 3 (29:25):
The Lakers and If and the Warriors could both lose
and everybody was Jimmy Butler's hurt. The Warriors are a
big truck. Yes they are, I guess Houston. Yeah, as
great as Curry is, he knows to me, the player
that makes okay s is chet Holgren. Yes, I mean Sga.
He's going to win the m v P observery, so

(29:45):
you can give it the joke each but yeah, Holgrin's
the perfect compliment. He is just any classic modern NBA
player inside, outside, offense, defense, exactly, grim protection, you get
everything from you.

Speaker 2 (29:56):
Know, who's Who's He a little bit like Berzingis is
a little bit like him.

Speaker 3 (30:00):
Porzingis, by the way, was awful last night for the Celtics.

Speaker 2 (30:04):
He couldn't make a layup.

Speaker 3 (30:06):
I was watching him.

Speaker 2 (30:07):
I might have been shaken up from that big hit. Yeah,
when he got hitting it. Yes, by the scar, I said,
I'd like the Celtan game four.

Speaker 3 (30:14):
Yeah, I think I like their chance to say it
made major credit to Orlandover sure, you know, and what
they're doing is they're limiting the Celtics three point chances.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
That's why they're staying in there.

Speaker 3 (30:23):
They can't shoot threes, but they're making it to the
Celtics have trouble and they're playing.

Speaker 4 (30:26):
Real they're playing real fish. I mean, somebody, these playoffs
it's brutal.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
I mean it's brutal out there. You got to kill
somebody to get a foul out there.

Speaker 3 (30:34):
It's nuts.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
Sorry, we're through a half an hour.

Speaker 2 (32:13):
Go to Betparks dot com.

Speaker 3 (32:14):
The only app I recommend must be twenty one and
an NJPA Maryland, Ohire Michigan Gambling Problem one eight hundred
gambler DICTARARTI, Mike Current, Kyle not a maker, and Kyle
just brought up an eighteenth former sixer that I that
I missed as he was cruising about. But Nicks and pistons,
h Kyle, you've already named three two so named the

(32:35):
two Knicks you.

Speaker 2 (32:36):
Named so yeah, the Knicks mckel Bridges, Yep, even though
it was for five minutes. It took a and Cameron Payne.

Speaker 3 (32:43):
Cameron payin mic and you have a piston for us,
Tobias Tobias Harris.

Speaker 6 (32:47):
So we got two more Knicks former sixers. Me, it's
obviously on the bench. I don't have legendary former Sixers.
One of them is a total legend. I can't believe
you don't know.

Speaker 2 (33:00):
I'm not.

Speaker 3 (33:01):
You're obviously not looking at the Knicks bench like I am.

Speaker 2 (33:04):
During well, they never played. All I know is one guy.

Speaker 3 (33:06):
Plays a touch, the other guy absolutely bench.

Speaker 2 (33:10):
Guy I know in the Knicks is McBride. Everybody else
is Landry. Shamit, shamit. What's a toss state?

Speaker 3 (33:16):
And everybody's favorite former sixer? PJ Tucker, PJ.

Speaker 5 (33:25):
PJ Tucker plays for Peter Detroit. PJ talking to the Knicks.

Speaker 4 (33:29):
There's about ten guys you could they kept him on
the up the Sixers.

Speaker 3 (33:34):
There's like ten.

Speaker 2 (33:35):
But it's so well, let me ask you a question.

Speaker 3 (33:40):
So right now, if Detroit came to you said we'll
give you Tobias for for Paul George, you're making that trade?
No I would, Oh I'm making this. I say, how
fast can I can I make that move?

Speaker 2 (33:56):
Paul are swapping contracts too?

Speaker 3 (33:58):
Of course?

Speaker 2 (33:59):
Then yeah, I'm.

Speaker 3 (34:00):
Paul George stinks, he's old, he doesn't want to be
on the East coast, And and what more do I
need to know? Here's what you need to know. Mike,
the Clippers wouldn't give him the extra year. The Clippers
have a chance to win the NBA title, and Paul
George's to your point out gone didn't care.

Speaker 2 (34:23):
Could have cared less about this whole season, cast his checks.

Speaker 3 (34:26):
They sold him what they sold him on a bill
of goods that the Sixers were going to be all
in which they were knowing that Joe was going to
play seventy games, and they gave him an extra year.

Speaker 2 (34:36):
They gave him the extra year. That's the only reason
he's here.

Speaker 4 (34:40):
And I don't blame a guy because so it works
more money you go there now, And he didn't know that, Kawhi,
I guess you know it was going to be like
this or whatever.

Speaker 2 (34:48):
Who knows what he do. So that's just the next
Is there other Pistons? Yeah, that's it.

Speaker 3 (34:53):
Five, four from the next one from the Pistons. Okay,
that's five and we have two Celtics. So that's seven
of our now eight because again, just found found the.

Speaker 2 (35:03):
Player that I had not considered at times. I don't
want to look at the box scores until.

Speaker 3 (35:07):
I told you I could have miss some Eighteen of
them were in the playoffs, and.

Speaker 2 (35:12):
Yeah you missed one. Yeah, you missed one on Detroit.
Oh I did. Yep, there's another one. We're all read.
Of course, I had him written.

Speaker 3 (35:22):
I had him written Dan originally, and then I forgot
to put him in b ball.

Speaker 2 (35:26):
Paula, Paul, you know what. I saw them. I saw
them on.

Speaker 5 (35:30):
The bench and then I remember I was watching highlights
or something on Sports Center on Friday morning and he
was in one of the highlights.

Speaker 2 (35:37):
I'm like, bee ball, Paul, I think you got in
an argument.

Speaker 3 (35:40):
It was driving me crazy because I had I originally
had eighteen. Then when I wrote them all dead, I
couldn't find the eighty guys. Well, I must have made
a mistake. I did have bee ball, Paula paul four
points eight boards. Good Taylor, I'm just six in the
next pistons, I'm going to throw up. I'm just going
to heave right here. I'm just going to get me
a bucket.

Speaker 4 (36:00):
All this sums up the set and look, noney, none
of these guys I get.

Speaker 2 (36:04):
But this is.

Speaker 3 (36:04):
What we drew Holidays drew. But that was twelve years ago, understood.
But you had a guy, an Olympic gold man, a
two time NBA champions, and the first move your genius
general manager mix and at that time, he's in his
mid twenties.

Speaker 2 (36:20):
He was he was.

Speaker 3 (36:22):
Yeah, I loved Drew Holiday, Let's get him out. But
you know why I think they did because they were
take it nobody. They didn't want a good player on
and they got Michael Carter. I think they have Michael
Carter at the time, and he was the rookie yo whatever.

Speaker 2 (36:33):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (36:34):
That was his first pick of the draft. First pick.
I'm losing track I have, But anyway, they got rid
of him in But this sums up your process, and
the process ultimately came down to Joe.

Speaker 4 (36:46):
I mean, it would have helped if Ben didn't lose
his mind because he was.

Speaker 2 (36:50):
An All star.

Speaker 3 (36:51):
Whatever we want to say about him now, he was.
But I mean again, you're just as anyway, nineteen as
and I want to see if we and there might
be more. Yeah, I easily could have.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
Minister was definitely more.

Speaker 3 (37:05):
The tomorrow NBA games, we'll talk generally about the series.
Detroit minus two at home against the Knicks next one
the other night, lead the series two one h LA
needs has to win this game. Minnesota minus three and
a half. Minnesota leads two to one. And by the
way that Minnesota Knicks trade, which we all kind of
panned at the time, Randall is playing well. I'm not

(37:25):
a fan, he's playing well. Dante's playing well.

Speaker 2 (37:29):
And I don't think the Knicks one to give Dante
up now they did not, you know.

Speaker 3 (37:32):
And Karl Anthony Towns, who I love, has been just
okay for this not great.

Speaker 2 (37:38):
He's been like that in the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (37:40):
Correct, that's right. His history is not great. A good
game the other night, get better for sure. Boston minus
seven at Orlando, Boston leads two to one, Milwaukee minus
five against Indiana and everybody. I don't know if anybody
watched that game. It was like on ESPN you last night.
I was not watching and I was watching the Boston
and Orlando they were on at the same time. Janna
said thirty and fine. Dame is a shell of himself.

(38:03):
Gary Trent at thirty seven last night for the Bucks.

Speaker 2 (38:06):
I don't think that's because you're going to get thirty seven, right.

Speaker 3 (38:09):
That seems unlike news teams for reasons they hate each other.

Speaker 2 (38:13):
Yeah, what's up with it? I don't know, it's weird.
I love it though.

Speaker 3 (38:17):
So Milwaukee favored Dame again a shell. But anyway, those
are those are the games tomorrow. Milwaukee's favorite in Game four,
it's at in Milwaukee. They're favored by five. They won
last night, pretty convinced they ran away at the end.
But yeah, well we'll see how that all plays out
before we get into the individual games, which we will do.

(38:38):
Can we talk about the Phillies, the five hundred Phillies.

Speaker 2 (38:42):
It's base it's baseball. Let's keep the depression going, right.
So we're twenty we're twenty six games in, there's one
sixty two.

Speaker 3 (38:49):
It beings probably nothing other than that the fact that
it's a pretty as Mike point out, a pretty large
sample size. That they've been five hundred over a number
of months, and right now they look listen list. Is
that a fair word? The stale stale? I like the
the same team. They basically have had the same team
for four years. I know they've made, they made, they

(39:09):
ruined their bullpen. At least as of now. Dombrowski's supposed
to be this great. Whatever the trade deadline moves the
last few years, not.

Speaker 2 (39:19):
I mean, my word for them yesterday was just unwatchable.
Four nil. They lose to the Cubs Taiwan Walker. This
has to be a record. I was watching this yesterday.
Taiwan Walker had a thirty seven pitch in it and
did not give up a run. That's got to be it.
He's the least of their worries. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (39:37):
Like and again, so when I think one of the
problems with the Phillies is we look at them or
they look at themselves and think they're better than they are.

Speaker 4 (39:44):
And there's times when when they're all hitting and they're
all they're wonderful, even in the playoffs they do that.
But right now there twenty third and slugging, and I
don't pay attention. But again, there's supposed to be a
slug team, right the Hawker's not hit. Trey Turner an
average short stop. That's exactly what he is. May maybe
a little better average, I mean, I don't know.

Speaker 5 (40:04):
And he was part of the reason why Tywe Walker
had a thirty.

Speaker 3 (40:07):
Can't play average is more than fair. Okay, that's more
than fair. But again, uh, the third basement is what
it is. Twenty three I can't watch, but yeah, but
that's come up again because he had one he had
won four hit. The second basement is good, but he's
not too eighty four solid, he's solid good. Major League
is solid. He is what he Iscelona's two seventy center

(40:30):
fielder and left fielder.

Speaker 4 (40:31):
Now, this is the third straight year to trying to
pray these guys out to me.

Speaker 3 (40:35):
No, morohas has actually been fun's And here's one one
thing I don't understand.

Speaker 2 (40:40):
He's hitting three or two. Just let him play.

Speaker 3 (40:42):
And they keep pinch hitting guys that can't hit late
in the game, like he's the one of the few
guys actually hit it.

Speaker 2 (40:49):
You're not bringing Stevenson and these guys. I have a
breaking news though. Yeah. The Phillies, Yeah, this is big,
very big marsh coming up.

Speaker 5 (40:57):
Phillies have traded Cody Klin Lemons to the Minnesota Twins
for cash consideration.

Speaker 3 (41:03):
O mine, no more Cody, see Cody goes. I mean
the catcher is still good. He's yeah, but again he's
going to want a contract. But I'm not worried. Five Yeah,
but he he he's getting older.

Speaker 2 (41:15):
Yeah, he looks old. He's still a very good catcher.
Turn seven.

Speaker 3 (41:19):
Yeah, I mean shores two fifty, but that means nothing
he gets that's good for it. Forty seven. The team
is batting to forty eight. It's that seems hot.

Speaker 2 (41:28):
That does.

Speaker 5 (41:30):
And then you see, like I'm watching the Cubs yesterday.
The Cubs have like four players hitting three hundred or
something and I just watched there at bats.

Speaker 2 (41:38):
So teams do can't hit, can't hit the ball. Yeah,
our teams. I just watch their at bats and they don't.
They don't swing at bad pitches, pitches that are fringe
that on two straight camp two strike counts, they're not
trying to pull it.

Speaker 5 (41:52):
Yep, they're just wasting it all. It's just old school hitting.
I guess at this point that I like to see.
And the Phillies always have their always seem like they're
swinging a bad pitches, have their heads in the left field.

Speaker 2 (42:02):
Yep. It's just unwatchable. I can't stand it.

Speaker 4 (42:07):
Philly fi Is or Philly, just Phillies in general. So
I keep here. Now, Christopher Sanchez, I'm hoping that his
arm's okay.

Speaker 2 (42:14):
I don't know who knows.

Speaker 3 (42:15):
They're talking about Tommy john with with this, but whatever, Well, no.

Speaker 2 (42:19):
Because what he complained about apparently.

Speaker 4 (42:22):
It's a bad spot, but who knows. I don't really
care about Walker. I mean, if he throws he throws,
I don't see him. He's going to be on another
team that's starting. Well, people are like, well, don't worry
about it, because Painter's going to be there. How do
I know the Painter's going to come by? He's never
pitched into Major Lick, but he's going to come up
in July or August and he's going to be whatever.
Steve Carlton.

Speaker 3 (42:42):
Then Ranger hasn't thrown in a year.

Speaker 2 (42:45):
Am I right? It's been a while, been a while.
So now Ranger's going to come in and he might,
God bless him, he might. But why do we sit
there and think this.

Speaker 3 (42:54):
Nola has been terrible six forty three, Yeah, brutal, I mean,
and again, I mean the number one pitcher.

Speaker 4 (43:02):
It's early for it's only for everybody. You know, Schwarber
is gonna have a June where he hits twelve home runs.
I mean, that's what Schwarber does. So here's the pitching
Wheeler three sixty two. He are a little high for him,
but fine, we love Wheeler. Lozardo has been great Ober two.
He's been everything they wanted. Morenola has been weird. Might
beat Dombrowski's best move he's been great. Sanchez three forty

(43:24):
two e r A.

Speaker 3 (43:25):
But we don't know what his injury situation is walker
for him to seventy eight awesome. Alvarado has been great
out of the bullpen. Strom has been fine, no problem.
Ross and Banks and Ruiz and these guys, they're just
not breaking them. Perker has been not goodin and Ramano
at this point, and I'll give him a little bit
of a break. He's coming off an injury. He's been awful,

(43:46):
but he's got time yet to get this. David that bit,
Cras thirteen. They've been pitching alvara't that bit?

Speaker 2 (43:53):
Yeah? They and and at some point his arm is
gonna be blown out by September. That's a problem.

Speaker 4 (43:58):
Yeah, And I look do I still now it's not
a very good I still think maybe I'm an idiot.
I think the Phillies are gonna win ninety games or whatever.
They're gonna be in the playoffs. I don't know if
they're gonna win the division or not because the Braves,
you know, or whatever.

Speaker 2 (44:10):
But again, like you.

Speaker 3 (44:13):
Know, is this there just seems like there's something wrong
with this team. And I don't know what it is.

Speaker 4 (44:18):
Because I still think they're one of the best six
to seven five teams in base.

Speaker 3 (44:22):
Maybe they've just hit their ceiling, you know, they and
they got through it a couple of years ago, and
they're not gonna get any better. And I mean, look,
the trend line is Game six of the World Series.
Blow the series against the Diamondbacks, not get out of
the first round. That's the trend line. That's not a
good trend line. A couple other pitching stats which are encouraging.

(44:42):
Wheeler fifty strikeouts, eight walks, Blazardo thirty six and seven,
Santchez thirty three at eight.

Speaker 2 (44:48):
I mean, you love that from your starters and all
the thirty know.

Speaker 4 (44:51):
That their bullpen is the worst in baseball or near
to worst than baseball.

Speaker 3 (44:54):
Yeah, I mean, yeah, they're bad. Yeah, that's it. That's
a sole killer, soul crusher when you start blowing games
like that. But anyway, they're in Chicago against the Cubs,
who are pretty good seventeen and ten. How about that
they're playing well, that's the Fox National game today at
four oh five. For those interested in such things. Come on, man,

(45:18):
what's the matter with you? But you wanna watch the
Food Network? Like, yeah, Colombo rerun. Yeah, all right, games
today in the NBA, let's go over an individual think,
do you what do you think? Do you think they're
gonna be okay when we get to September?

Speaker 2 (45:36):
I don't.

Speaker 3 (45:37):
I don't have any great feel for it, But I
know this much about baseball. As bad as they've looked lately,
they've looked really bad. April means not much the last
three years. The Phillies of the first two months have
not been the Phillies at the end.

Speaker 4 (45:51):
Right, twice it was good. Yep, they were bad, and
then they got good.

Speaker 3 (45:55):
Once it was good, and then they never got and maybe, Look,
it's a possibility that that blown series against Arizona well
be the end of this group up.

Speaker 2 (46:05):
But why did they start out then? Last year?

Speaker 4 (46:07):
So great good question. I mean, I know they were
playing bad teams. I know they're scheduled last Jenimately still
legitimate question. But look, that was their best chance.

Speaker 3 (46:16):
I mean, they they were better than Arizona, and they
were fifty to fifty to beat Texas, right, I mean
that I thought when it might have been favored, I
think they would they well, Texas would have had the
four home games, which usually that usually is the reason.
But anyway, when they were up to to one with
Houston and they hit the five home runs in Game three,
thin I thought they were going to go to Houston

(46:37):
up three to two.

Speaker 2 (46:38):
I figured Houston would win a game. They'd win in.

Speaker 4 (46:40):
Game five they could have it was that that great game.
But my god, Houston was the better team. Most people
would sit there and say that I would agree with that.

Speaker 3 (46:49):
The Phillies were better than the Diamondbacks, way better. I
know they blew it.

Speaker 2 (46:54):
They gave it away.

Speaker 3 (46:55):
I mean up three to two, but they went out,
they were up to zero in Law lost the two games.

Speaker 2 (47:01):
Craig kimberl And it's.

Speaker 4 (47:02):
Always when they've lost, and even in the Mets series
last year, it's because they don't hit.

Speaker 3 (47:07):
Yep, it's a it's an issue nobody, but let me ask.

Speaker 2 (47:11):
Let the issue a question.

Speaker 4 (47:12):
So when Philip Sixers were going to play the next
last year, me and you sat here and said they
ain't bet the next and people were like.

Speaker 3 (47:18):
No, no, no, no, no, they ain't.

Speaker 2 (47:19):
Beaten the next.

Speaker 4 (47:20):
When they played the Mets last year, and I sat there,
I said, it was a pro I do people think
that the Mets a the under dog in this series.
The Mets have played the best record in the National
League since.

Speaker 3 (47:30):
Memorial Day, and it's always but no, no, no, no,
And that's only kept hearing And I'm like, wait a minute,
that did not surprise me at all.

Speaker 4 (47:39):
If I was, that's why I would have went out
and bet on it again, you know. And they had
one good inning against the Mets.

Speaker 3 (47:46):
That's it. They had one good inning.

Speaker 2 (47:48):
It was not a good effort and people.

Speaker 4 (47:51):
In Philadelphia can't take it because it's the New York team.

Speaker 3 (47:54):
It's beating the crap out you not good. Next beat
them and then the Mets beat them back to back. Yeah,
I'm I think real quick, peoples, the Giants didn't be before.

Speaker 5 (48:02):
We get before, before before we move on. It's just
I know it's only April, and I bring this up
every week. But the reason why they're so maddening right
now is the same reason they were maddening in the playoffs. Absolutely,
and that's what's concerning. It's not anything different. It's not
like the starting pitching is kind of struggling and you know,

(48:23):
you know it's gonna get back on track. It's the
same glaring issues that got them kicked out of the
playoffs the last three years, and that's why I have
a problem, and I'm I'm worried about it. I have
no doubt they're still gonna make the playoffs, but I
don't see them as being here.

Speaker 2 (48:35):
We say that, say that like it's a given, and
I get it.

Speaker 3 (48:39):
They're saying that about this.

Speaker 2 (48:42):
About this week. But until they proved me wrong, I
don't see them getting the jobs. I've heard this before.

Speaker 4 (48:46):
Suspencer Strider's coming back from his tom whatever.

Speaker 3 (48:51):
He injures his hamstring. He's on the fifteen day io
or whatever they call it, having to catch Yeah, am
I missy, Like, how do you do that?

Speaker 2 (49:02):
Maybe just leaned out? I don't know. It's like, let's
do some serious stuff.

Speaker 3 (49:08):
Bet parks Cleveland minus five and a half at Miami, uh,
where we have the war of words now. Cleveland is
saying we're targeting Tyler Tyler Hero and Hero saying we're
targeting Darius Cars.

Speaker 4 (49:21):
Comes down to do you think that the Miami culture
can win the game right or stay.

Speaker 2 (49:26):
With in five and a half.

Speaker 3 (49:27):
Yeah, I mean, look, it's it's fair to say that
because they won two road games in the play in
impressed of Chicago, had been playing great.

Speaker 2 (49:34):
They killed them Atlanta.

Speaker 4 (49:35):
I mean, Atlanta's just there's something just and the Cavaliers
might think the series is already over.

Speaker 2 (49:40):
The Cavaliers are better.

Speaker 3 (49:41):
Cavaliers were the better team all year by twenty twenty
five games, whatever the final number was. Who do you
look in it? Do you like Cleveland? I just think
Cleveland is just good better. Look, I was impressed with
Miami and the playing, but it was the playing.

Speaker 2 (49:56):
And if you're playing the seventh seed.

Speaker 3 (50:00):
You're playing against band teams. Cleveland has just been is
a killer. They have a phenomenal defense. Uh the Atkinson
the coach, He's basically made him into an elite offensive team,
which was their problem before.

Speaker 2 (50:14):
They have Spider Mitchell, who is a star.

Speaker 3 (50:16):
I mean, I just one defensive Player of the year, phenomenal.
I just don't see Miami to me has two guys
that would be in Cleveland's rotation.

Speaker 2 (50:26):
That's it at Obama and here and here that's it
and nobody. I mean, if I if I'm Cleveland, I
don't see it.

Speaker 4 (50:32):
And I don't know if if Boston, if that series
is going to go long or not, I would tend
to death.

Speaker 2 (50:37):
But if I'm Cleveland, I want this over and four. Sure,
I want to.

Speaker 4 (50:41):
I want to just be done with this. And then
I guess they would get.

Speaker 2 (50:46):
They'll get the winner of Milwaukee and Indiana.

Speaker 4 (50:48):
Okay, and I think if it's Indiana it could be
more trouble than if it's Milwaukee.

Speaker 2 (50:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (50:52):
But but again, but I mean, if I'm Cleveland, you
want to I want to get to Boston with as
few treads on my tires possible. There's many treads on
my tire. You got a thought on this contest? Sky,
You don't have to have an opinion.

Speaker 5 (51:05):
No, I'm with you, dig I think Cleveland looks to
end the series early.

Speaker 2 (51:09):
He just don't have it.

Speaker 5 (51:10):
I mean, the reason they won their two play in
games because Tyler Hero went nuts. I don't see that
happening with this Cleveland defense. I think they get the
job done early.

Speaker 3 (51:20):
Okay, I do.

Speaker 4 (51:21):
I do respect though what Miami has been. They don't
have Jimmy anymore. Sposter's still there.

Speaker 3 (51:26):
Should they're going to come up with a big effort.

Speaker 2 (51:30):
This has got to be the game. This is it, Yeah,
because otherwise they're getting swept.

Speaker 3 (51:34):
Okay, see minus fifteen, Memphis had him down twenty nine
the other night and Mornt got hurt.

Speaker 2 (51:41):
Unfortunate play. Nobody's falled. 's just anybody that's seen the
replay was nothing. He doesn't have much luck, does he?

Speaker 1 (51:46):
No?

Speaker 3 (51:47):
He does not. Memphis normally is a team that can
score a lot. But I mean they got they got
boat raced in the games in Oklahoma City.

Speaker 2 (51:55):
I mean they weren't even competitive.

Speaker 3 (51:58):
I'm not a huge fan of laying fish team, but
doesn't this have blowout written along? Maybe maybe you just
stay away? Maybe, Yeah, I'm gonna I'm with my I'm
gonna pass on.

Speaker 2 (52:08):
I think I'm gonna take the fifteenth, take the fifteen
in okay favor, you're going to give fifteen fifteen? Yes, such,
I think that game just ripped their hearts out, and
with job being out, I think it's it's game over.
I would tend they might have, yeah, because they could
have won that game. Then it would have been one.

Speaker 3 (52:25):
I mean, they had the game won and then they
weren't winning the series.

Speaker 2 (52:29):
But to make it competitive, you gotta, you know, win
that game. That was it for Yeah.

Speaker 3 (52:33):
Look they had a late season coaching change. That's they
won the second playing game they played the Warriors a
really good game out in Golden State. Then they won
the second playing game I believe fairly convincingly over who
I can't read my Dallas.

Speaker 2 (52:46):
I think dead. I think it was I think it
was Dallas.

Speaker 3 (52:49):
But yeah, what, Yeah, you're dad. Three out of the
best team in the league. Good luck not optimistic? Uh,
Clippers in their second ever playoff game, and you to
a Dome minus six against Denver, which also blew their
coach up late in the season.

Speaker 2 (53:07):
Something is wrong. I love Joker, Okay, I mean I
love the Clippers.

Speaker 4 (53:14):
The way that they're playing is just scary, and I
don't think Joker can do it by himself and looking
more and more like that's kind of what Denver is.
Murray's kind of I don't know if he's heard, if
he's just whatever.

Speaker 2 (53:29):
In three the other Yeah, it was not like you find.
Their problem is they can't guard the Clippers. At the moment, Clippers.

Speaker 3 (53:37):
Can guard them, and they had six bench points. I'm
betting my money on Kawhi Leonard. I'm going to lay
the six.

Speaker 4 (53:44):
I know it's a lot because Denver kind of has to,
you know, win this game.

Speaker 2 (53:50):
I don't see them winn if I didn't see him winning
the series.

Speaker 4 (53:52):
Before the series, I think the Clippers is I think
now they're gonna have to play Okay, see if they win.

Speaker 2 (53:58):
And that could be a hell of a series. That
could be a tough assignment.

Speaker 4 (54:01):
But I'll tell you what, I would take the Clippers
over the Lakers right now. I would take the Clippers
over to the Warriors right now. I mean, I mean,
if Jimmy was.

Speaker 3 (54:09):
Playing, they're the second best team in the world right
now with no Butler for for Golden State. And I
like Houston. I think Houston's good.

Speaker 5 (54:17):
I don't just feel like it came kind of came
out of nowhere with the clip, and it's probably because
Kawhi came on.

Speaker 3 (54:23):
Well that's what happened. Yeah, the record since he came
back is one of the best.

Speaker 5 (54:27):
They were always in the playoff realm, but they were
always under the radar because everybody's talking about Denver and
Lebron and okay. See, so it's just it's interesting.

Speaker 4 (54:37):
One of he's one of the best five players right now.

Speaker 2 (54:41):
And again it's a big list.

Speaker 3 (54:43):
I mean, you could put Giannis on that list, you
could put Celtics on that list. You could make the case, Mike,
and I'd be happy to make it that he's the
best two way player in the playoffs. Oh yeah, Tode.
If you watch them, just watch them play. Who else
would be a two way? Who else would we for that?
I mean, he's he's that good of a player. I
Thinkwi is better. Yeah, I mean right, yes, as two

(55:03):
hours we're talking, he's a better defender. Is not a
long list like the Knicks don't have anybody on that list.
I mean even some of the really good teams don't.

Speaker 4 (55:13):
Have any Brunton's obviously really good, but great offensive player,
a good average defensive play.

Speaker 2 (55:19):
I mean, is Lebron a two way player? Not to
not to me? He can't play defense like he used to.

Speaker 3 (55:23):
Just Sga, Sga would be in that at would be
right there with Leon.

Speaker 2 (55:31):
Yeah, he would mean the way he's playing right now,
you just watch him. Oh sure, yeah, I mean, no doubt.
His team just stinks. They're not very good kind of coach.

Speaker 3 (55:42):
Ain't real.

Speaker 2 (55:43):
You don't think Gary Trent's gonna put up thirty eight,
and they probably don't. We're gonna take a break.

Speaker 3 (55:48):

List we get two to one. He came back to
Justin Thomas on the first playoff hole. Yeah, yeah, the
other guy. I felt so bad and they had like about.

Speaker 4 (59:46):
A ten foot put on the last hole and he
didn't even hit the cat game said it was a
shame because anyway, they're played this week. Of course I
played actually of course down in New Orleans. Uh, and
they play It's it's different. They play a two man teams.
Today they're playing better ball.

Speaker 2 (01:00:04):
All right.

Speaker 4 (01:00:05):
That means me and you play. You make a five,
I make a four, we keep the fourth. Tomorrow they
play alternate shot, which gets kind of neat. It's like
a Ryder cup. I hit my drive, you hit the
second shot.

Speaker 2 (01:00:17):
Anyway.

Speaker 3 (01:00:18):
Last year, Shane Lowry and Rory McElroy one. Okay, they
are currently like the fourth favorite. It eight the one,
even though they're tied for twentieth.

Speaker 2 (01:00:27):
Yeah, probably had a few pints back in the.

Speaker 3 (01:00:32):
Yeah, and again I've and I've got lowry this week,
so I get but and again I don't think it
ate to one. That's a good bet.

Speaker 2 (01:00:40):
But what are you think?

Speaker 4 (01:00:41):
Well, actually, the guy Andrew Novak is second. He played
obviously well last week, was paired with Ben Griffin. You're
not gonna get great odds on them.

Speaker 2 (01:00:51):
Let me see here. I just want to double check this,
but I found something I thought was interesting.

Speaker 5 (01:00:56):
I had more cower this week. By the way he
got cut. He missed the cut at eight he was
eight under. Really yeah, uh, he was the second betting favorite.

Speaker 3 (01:01:05):
Okay, well, partner and Novak and Ben Griffin are the
favorites at plus three twenty.

Speaker 4 (01:01:10):
Because there's a lot of guys on here. You've you,
you know, average people. I don't even know him, so
if you don't know, but here's an interesting one. They've
already started play today now brand Sneddecker, who older now,
but when he's paired with Chez Review, right, they're three
hundred and fifty to one.

Speaker 3 (01:01:27):
There is how far back are they they're two under.

Speaker 4 (01:01:30):
Today, They're they're they're in tied for ninth, three fifty
to one, three fifty to one.

Speaker 3 (01:01:34):
Now I'm guess being the dime on him. I guess
they don't have a shot. I'm gonna see here. But again,
I just noticed that there.

Speaker 2 (01:01:41):
Probably won't take my bad air bet parks.

Speaker 4 (01:01:43):
They're tied for ninth. They're two under for today. Yeah,
they're five back. Rory and Lowrier like seven back, three
fifty to one. They got no shot, but wired the
three fifty man, you bet twenty bucks?

Speaker 2 (01:01:58):
You went, Yeah, you bet hundred.

Speaker 3 (01:02:01):
Never say never, I would note hundred, get you thirty
thirty five hundred. That's not bad. No, three hundred, No,
three hundred and fifty one, No, three hundred and fifty
to one, one hundred thirty five thous that's what I thought.

Speaker 2 (01:02:13):
Yeah, yeah, that's not bad. I don't worry.

Speaker 3 (01:02:16):
Yeah they got they're two under for to day.

Speaker 2 (01:02:18):
No, they're out there playing. You know, thirty five even
you could use thirty five.

Speaker 3 (01:02:22):
Yeah, I got a current. I got a great You
won't admit it, but I got a great golf story
for you guys. Your story we'd like. I'm up playing
Mikefield Highlands on Tuesday, or was it Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (01:02:33):
You didn't invite me up. It's my neighborhood court. It's
the matter with well Day's.

Speaker 3 (01:02:37):
Not there now, Yeah, we'll figure it out. I actually
paid what Yeah, it's amazing.

Speaker 1 (01:02:44):
What is going on?

Speaker 2 (01:02:45):
So I'm walking off the eighth eighth hole.

Speaker 4 (01:02:47):
It's a par three my friend and I see a
little like a ball marker laying it looks like I
pick it up. Yeah, it says Borgatta Casino one hundred dollars.

Speaker 3 (01:02:58):
It's a black chip.

Speaker 2 (01:02:59):
It's a chip. So I'm thinking.

Speaker 4 (01:03:01):
So I said to my friend, I think, do you
think I called Eddie bark? Which I said some picture
because I think that's real. So now why somebody I
don't know?

Speaker 2 (01:03:11):
I like, it wasn't on the green, was it?

Speaker 3 (01:03:13):
No? It was like, as you're walking off the green,
it was like, I wonder if he was using it
as ballmark But that's what I thought. Yeah about that.

Speaker 2 (01:03:19):
Shame When you get to the next hole, won't you
kind of say, hey, where's my word? Shame? It wasn't
a bed part, but here's the here's.

Speaker 4 (01:03:27):
I went to Vegas buch ten years ago with Eddie,
Eddie and the other guys and Kredi Gabriel stole black chip.

Speaker 3 (01:03:34):
Had he stole he hit it?

Speaker 2 (01:03:37):
So we spent three days and that he's looking for
this black chip. And on the last day Charice just
kind of put it that we were asking the Maiden.

Speaker 3 (01:03:44):
Here's a So if somebody went up to the Maiden said,
if you find this black chip, will give.

Speaker 2 (01:03:48):
You twenty dollars or something.

Speaker 3 (01:03:49):
No, she's going to keep the Yeah, so golf was
I've never I've never heard that before. Now Richard already
the richest man to go to the brigatta, the only guy.

Speaker 2 (01:04:03):
Yeah, the only guy that's won money by not betting them.
All Right, Our next NBA series, The Pacers and the Bucks.

Speaker 3 (01:04:13):
As Kyle just found out, we're up to twenty found
I only had I only had one in here, actually
two Alburton, Yeah, it never actually a sixer, but could
have been a Jesus unfortunately.

Speaker 2 (01:04:27):
Uh So, Mike, do we like Pacers? Bucks?

Speaker 3 (01:04:30):
Who do we like to see? Oh? No, no, what's
former six Kyle's much better at this than I am. Well,
you know one of them on the Pacers for sure.
This guy, very well known former Sixers, Arizona Wild plays
a lot for the Pacers, played a lot for the
Sixers point guard. I'm losing my TJ McConnell. Oh, okay, okay,

(01:04:53):
and Kyle just came up with this.

Speaker 2 (01:04:56):
Tony Bradley, you played twenty games for the Xers, now
comes off the bench. Apparently you covered him at the
seventeen finals, right.

Speaker 3 (01:05:05):
I had no memory of me. He was on the
North Carolina ten. Why would you there in sixteen? He's
probably there in sixteen, I guess, yeah against the llanov
But yeah, I have no memory. I remember him playing
for the Sixers. Now that you said that, Yeah, so
we're up to twenty, can I ask question? Yes, you
eat her those teams. I'm thinking more Indiana than Milwaukee
because I think can Indiana give Cleveland any kind? I

(01:05:26):
don't see it, Okay, I mean I like Indiana. They're
a fun team to watch. I don't think they have
enough defense. I'll play against Cleveland. I think that's that's
why they'd be in trouble. So here's another series where
we have one, two, three, four, five, former six we're
loaded Clippers Nuggets.

Speaker 2 (01:05:47):
Okay, let's start off with Ben Simmons and Simmons.

Speaker 3 (01:05:51):
She's Ben Simmons, you.

Speaker 2 (01:05:53):
Know, looking Mike Kurr's gonna leave. He's gonna leave early.

Speaker 3 (01:05:57):
I was a Ben Simmons guy.

Speaker 2 (01:05:59):
I thought, you know hard with Simmons. Uh, let's try
the Nuggets. The Nuggets. Why am I blanking on the nugget?

Speaker 3 (01:06:07):
I blank on everything.

Speaker 2 (01:06:08):
I'm because most of these guys are probably on the
former former Uh one of these players?

Speaker 3 (01:06:13):
You can't.

Speaker 2 (01:06:14):
You already came up with one of them, So you
know one of them?

Speaker 1 (01:06:16):
I did?

Speaker 2 (01:06:17):
You did. I don't know why I'm now you're blanking
on who you came up with. Yeah, I'm blanking when
when I came by?

Speaker 3 (01:06:23):
How about I tell you one of them is a
former six Ers first round directors? Wow?

Speaker 2 (01:06:28):
Oh uhlans know?

Speaker 3 (01:06:31):
Well, no, at least not to my not league has
been there for quite a while. Well, I didn't realize that.
Zire Smith incorrect out of basketball as far as I know.
Don't look on the Nuggets.

Speaker 2 (01:06:48):
You're you're looking at your computer. I'm looking at the Billies.
Thanks for everything, Cody there, thank you. I have no
well you already kill up.

Speaker 3 (01:06:58):
Wait no, no, you came up with the right Jordan,
then you forgot oh DeAndre Jordan's right.

Speaker 2 (01:07:03):
But you were the one that came up.

Speaker 3 (01:07:04):
How about Dario search Darni searches on the nugget hit
on the bench and you miss one of the Clippers.

Speaker 2 (01:07:13):
Have one more Clipper?

Speaker 3 (01:07:15):
This guy, this guy had a famous recent Sixers playoff run.

Speaker 2 (01:07:21):
And I do mean famous. Uh, oh my god.

Speaker 3 (01:07:28):
Uh Marco is another hit and he just had a
great run in Paris in the Olympics.

Speaker 9 (01:07:37):
Oh my god, I I have for France, for France,
Marco Bellan. How could you forget Nicholas Platoon Pato.

Speaker 2 (01:07:49):
I did see that earlier and I forgot Nico Patoon.

Speaker 4 (01:07:52):
And this helps explain why does Sixers have been this
way for last ten years?

Speaker 3 (01:07:57):
Because none of these guys we don't know any of them.
And the old pass through here.

Speaker 5 (01:08:02):
Yeah Nico, but Tom had out run, right, remember, I
mean yes, he was the man for.

Speaker 2 (01:08:08):
A brief, a brief he won that one game for them.
I'm losing. Was it last year against the Knicks or
I think it was against Boston Boston, Yeah, I was.
It was two years ago a Celtic. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:08:18):
And look, Nico's had a hell of a career. Yeah
he's Yeah, He's been a really good and he plays
for the Clippers. It's not like he says at the
end of the bench. He gets out, he gets in
the games.

Speaker 2 (01:08:30):
All right, So.

Speaker 3 (01:08:32):
Nico, we're up to twenty and again we'll go through
the rest of the series.

Speaker 2 (01:08:36):
We may have. We never going to be able to recover.
I'll check the box stores. I'm never going to be
able to you. Just check the box scores on those
for these ones.

Speaker 3 (01:08:44):
Those games, all right, other playoff games today, And this
is a hard one to pick because we don't know
Jimmy Butler's status. Golden Jimmy's gonna play, okay, all right,
Golden State.

Speaker 2 (01:08:56):
Will he be sixty.

Speaker 3 (01:08:58):
Back home minus three and a half against Houston and
we're tied at one. It's the veteran Warriors, Draymond Green,
Steph Curry, Jimmy Butler and a cast of you know, okay, guys,
as far as I'm concerned against the up and coming athletes,
talent and.

Speaker 2 (01:09:19):
Yeah, in Houston.

Speaker 3 (01:09:21):
By the way, did you see some of the shots
Steph hit the other ridiculous, I mean by by even
by me, even by his standard. One in front of
the bench was just like, are you serious, I mean,
you can't defend that any better?

Speaker 2 (01:09:32):
Just ridiculous. Your thoughts Mike, Golden State minus three.

Speaker 4 (01:09:35):
You know, I really I'm impressed with Houston, like what
they've been doing and how I'm going to go with
Golden State on the premise that Jimmy's going to play.
He ain't going to be Jimmy, but he's going to play,
and they're going to get inspiration from that, and Steph's
going to have one of those Steph games, and Draymond's
going to do some some stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:09:54):
All right, It's Draymond been a little quiet, Well he's been.

Speaker 3 (01:09:58):
He's just looking to cause trouble looking at and he's
got guys that are equally as nasty as he is
on the side.

Speaker 2 (01:10:05):
I met, I met quiet on the stat sheet. Know,
I know he's never.

Speaker 4 (01:10:08):
Quite right, but three and a half. I mean, if
you want to tell me you're going to make a
case for Houston, I'm not going to argue with you.

Speaker 2 (01:10:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:10:14):
I just think this is one of those I mean, look,
if all Houston wants to do is go back to
game five to two to two, do they just want
to win a game?

Speaker 2 (01:10:24):
Right? And they might because they're not, you know, bad team,
But I just think it's this.

Speaker 3 (01:10:31):
This to me just screams like Jimmy Butler is going
to have one of those Willis Reid moments.

Speaker 2 (01:10:35):
Kai maybe not, you know, maybe he's really hurt and
he can't.

Speaker 5 (01:10:39):
I accidentally just pulled up the box score to look
at the one of the other games and found the
six are so I apologize, sorry, but uh but yeah,
I think you know, Golden they kind of put up
a little bit of a dud, and a lot of
that might have to do with Jimmy Butler leaving the
game early. I think the first game at home, Golden State,

(01:10:59):
they're gonna be up for it.

Speaker 2 (01:11:00):
I like Golden State in this situation fair enough. Yeah,
I'm gonna go.

Speaker 3 (01:11:04):
Look, Steph Curry might be one of my all time
favorite players in any sport.

Speaker 2 (01:11:09):
I'm convinced he's so fun to watch.

Speaker 4 (01:11:12):
I always thought Kevin like there was a lot of
guys that have played recently like but my problem is
if I put like Kevin Durant on the list, like
I take Birder Magic off and like I those guys were.
Do you realize Nikola Jo it's going to be the
fifth straight year he's finished one or two in the
m v P. The the last guy to who that
was and maybe the only guy. But I know it's

(01:11:33):
Larry Bird and people. When they told about Mary and
Larry and magic, it's always magic. No people, people, people people.
Larry Bird was freaking phenomenal, but he was white and
he was he didn't look the part.

Speaker 2 (01:11:47):
He played on one of the greatest front lines in
NBA history.

Speaker 4 (01:11:50):
Steph Curry, now, in my mind, I gotta figure out
why you get him in the top ten of all time.
I mean, he changed to change the games. Is a
tremendous player. There's no doubt I would take.

Speaker 2 (01:12:03):
Steph Curry's career over Durant's career. But would you've said
that before the last couple of years meeting.

Speaker 3 (01:12:09):
Maybe it's a good question, maybe not. But Curry is
as good as he's ever been. Somehow, some way, the
Olympic finish added to the LA and Duran had a
great Olympic movement with Jay right, Durant is the greatest
Olympic player in USA history. They wouldn't have won four
years ago. Three years ago went in Tokyo. He absolutely

(01:12:32):
won the game for him. But yeah, Curry to me
is somewhere on the top ten. I don't know what
the number is, but love him and the fact that
he's doing this at thirty six and he's tireless. He
just runs people ragged. And then the fourth quarter he's
better because you're tired of chasing.

Speaker 4 (01:12:47):
Him, and he ate tired because anybody he's at such
an NBA history, Rand Morden stuff Curry No, no, chick no, no,
check no, No, I agree, no, No, I mean I
think there's a now that they have that is in
in arena's tracking devices.

Speaker 3 (01:13:03):
Mike, it's out there. It's clear that he the numbers.
I haven't seen him recently, but the numbers are astonished.

Speaker 2 (01:13:09):
He gets shots off that I don't know how he
like the guy will be guarding him and he'll have
him and step from through like some Hilf step or something,
and all of a sudden, the shots in the air.

Speaker 7 (01:13:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:13:20):
You have the combination of him running around all over
the place, his quick release, and him only needing an
inch of room.

Speaker 4 (01:13:27):
Have you ever seen Dick a shooter get off shots
quicker than Steph Curry?

Speaker 2 (01:13:32):
No.

Speaker 3 (01:13:33):
And the other thing is when he wants to take
his time on the shot, he also does great with that.
He's equally as good off the bounce and the catch,
and then the hidden part of his well, there's two
hiding parts of his game that people don't really appreciate.
How often he gets to the foul I And he's
obviously a killer from the line, and he is a
phenomenal layup shoot. Yeah, it's just how often does he
get to the basket for a guy he's signing a

(01:13:54):
ton because everybody's running trying to run him off the line.
He puts up those floats. Great, he's a final I'm
an a ballhandler. He's one of the great ball handlers ever.
He's not he's not Kyrie Irving, but he's in the
hunt with just a ball handler. So all those things.

Speaker 2 (01:14:08):
Combined to me put him up in one of the absolutely.

Speaker 4 (01:14:10):
I don't know who I'm knocking out him because you know,
you end up it comes down to his curry better
than Oscar Robertson, and you can't can't answer to his questions.
But he's got to be I think.

Speaker 2 (01:14:19):
In the top ten. I just I just love him.
So you get to see. That's the late game tonight
Golden State Houston.

Speaker 3 (01:14:25):
All right, tomorrow, Detroit's probably in a must win to
stay alive in the series, and they've been very competitive
in the series. We thought they probably would be Detroit
minus two. K Cunningham's phenomenal. Yeah, he says he wants
to become the best player in the world. He's not
there yet, but he's he's editing in a direction that
might give him a shot. And by the way, and

(01:14:45):
they're playing without Jay Bruntson's been awesome. He's phenomenal.

Speaker 2 (01:14:50):
Mean, I know he won that Clutch Award, which she's
just like they look, he's.

Speaker 3 (01:14:54):
Going down as the most accomplished player in the history
of the Big Five and it's not particularly close. Just
accomplished straight out accomplishments, two national titles in the hunt
for m vps of the NBA. I hadn't thought of that,
But he's the guy Detroit minus two over the Knicks.
Uh next lead the series to one. Your thoughts on

(01:15:16):
Games four in Detroit tomorrow.

Speaker 5 (01:15:19):
First off, Tobias Harris five points in thirty two minutes
the other night.

Speaker 2 (01:15:25):
So that's he does. Yeah, that's that's what he does.

Speaker 3 (01:15:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:15:30):
Again, this is a must win for Detroit. I just
don't know if they have enough manpower. I think the
Knicks are eventually going to catch up with how physical
they are. Kate Cunningham is I mean this. The Pistons
aren't even in the playoffs without Kate Cunningham. I think
they find a way to contain him as much as possible.

Speaker 2 (01:15:51):
I like the Knicks here. I think they they ultimately
wrap the other guy playing the guy.

Speaker 3 (01:15:58):
He's really good there, their second best player, and he's out.
I mean he's I mean he's on the bench, but
he's just not in uniform. I don't get any sense
that they're going to bring him back. I mean Detroit,
they've done that in a big hurry, where they've hit
through the draft and they've and they and they and
they're they're like, they're kind of like the Eastern Conferences
version of Houston with a little better offensive firepower. When

(01:16:21):
Jade and Ivy comes back, Uh, that's a team that's
going to be around, assuming they can keep all their players.

Speaker 2 (01:16:26):
That's that's it.

Speaker 3 (01:16:27):
That's a dangerous They went from a total nightmare. They
improved by thirty games.

Speaker 2 (01:16:32):
In one sea.

Speaker 3 (01:16:33):
I think the Knicks are going to win the series
because I think them in Boston and then we'll get that.

Speaker 2 (01:16:37):
But I would, I think I would for no.

Speaker 4 (01:16:40):
Good reason I'll take Detroit every games to this that
they know they got to win this game.

Speaker 3 (01:16:46):
Yeah, that doesn't mean they're gonna win it. Yeah, this
series has every chance of going seven. Look, I want
to see the next win because I want to see
the Villanova guys get the key in. I love watching
Josh Harten, Bridges and and and Jalen brought some some
play and it's it's great for the city to see.
You know, some of the big five legends national chance.
Shame they couldn't have made that trade and kept kept

(01:17:07):
or Dante.

Speaker 2 (01:17:08):
Yeah, no doubt.

Speaker 3 (01:17:09):
Yeah, I'm gonna pass all this game. I find it
far it's probably the right move. This game, to me
is the most intriguing. Minnesota minus three and a half
over the Lakers Minnesota one. Last night they lead to
to one. And let's put in top five two way players.
Anthony Edwards. Yeah, he's in it of modern might be
one of my favorite players just.

Speaker 4 (01:17:30):
For not I think he's got a chip on his
shoulder that because let's face it, they didn't have a
great season.

Speaker 3 (01:17:36):
They did, they played. It took a long time, but
they figured it out down the stretch. They were playing
hot coming in.

Speaker 4 (01:17:42):
I think the whole world wants the Lakers to win,
and the Lakers getting three and a half, you're saying,
which seems like a sucker bet you got you almost
have to take the Lakers, right, because it's just I'm
telling you, I won't be surprised if Minnesota wins this game.

Speaker 2 (01:17:57):
Lakers have their against the wall.

Speaker 3 (01:17:59):
Yeah, no, I didn't stap to watch it last night,
but I watched the highlights this morning.

Speaker 2 (01:18:02):
This was a This was a dead heat with three
to go.

Speaker 3 (01:18:04):
Yeah, and Minnesota outscored him by a dime at the end,
and and Ant made all the place he either scored
it or passed it or defended it again.

Speaker 2 (01:18:13):
Luca was sick.

Speaker 3 (01:18:15):
I mean, he's a terrible defender when he's well. Last
night he was. He was pathetic. He was like a mannequan.
He couldn't do anything. So I'd like to know how
he feels tomorrow because he's probably gonna have to.

Speaker 2 (01:18:27):
Score thirty five. Lebron was great last night. He had
thirty nine.

Speaker 3 (01:18:31):
When I look at the Lakers team, Reeves is very good.
I'm a Reeves fan. Luca is an offensive savant. Lebron
is still very good.

Speaker 2 (01:18:39):
What else is there exactly.

Speaker 3 (01:18:41):
There's just not much more each more. What's the one guy, Ronnie,
He's supposed to be more from Zach A good good player, Yeah,
good good player. Reeves I like, But yeah, Nowise, I
don't like at all.

Speaker 2 (01:18:54):
We know what the Lakers are.

Speaker 3 (01:18:55):
I mean, yeah, they are, and they're and they're old
and you know what else, Mike, they're not very athletic. No,
I mean Lebron is as great an athlete as he is,
he's not. He's forty years old. They were blowing by
him last night at Reeves average they win, Lucas stinks
if they win this game. Yeah, Lucas obviously good. But
it's going to be a Lebron game. I mean, that's

(01:19:16):
just what's going to come down to. But he gets
thirty nine and they lose, that's problem. Is he going
to be able to come back and do that again tomorrow?
That's asking a lot just just looking at it purely
on who's got the young, fresh legs and the best
player in the series, and.

Speaker 2 (01:19:34):
It's Anthony Edwards. As much as I love Lebron, I
think Minnesota might win again. I think they might, Yeah,
I would think. I hate it. I hate laying three
and a half. Yeah, because I think the Lakers could obviously.

Speaker 4 (01:19:45):
Win the game absolutely if that means okay, and that crowd,
that crowd again that wears off after a while.

Speaker 2 (01:19:52):
I mean, yeah, that's not bothering Lebron or those people.
I love.

Speaker 3 (01:19:58):
Doncis, who's been traded twice. Is which which is?

Speaker 2 (01:20:02):
But he is a defensive liability. It's no, he is hot,
it's I know sometimes you say that, no, he's off.

Speaker 3 (01:20:10):
They show pictures sometimes of him just guys going around him.

Speaker 2 (01:20:14):
I mean like sixty five.

Speaker 3 (01:20:15):
Percent of the time, right, that's where that that's where
the non athlete in him.

Speaker 2 (01:20:19):
He's not, he's not. That's why Dallas made the trade.

Speaker 3 (01:20:22):
Ultimately, they said we're not gonna win big with this guy,
even though they got to a final, they got to
the finals.

Speaker 4 (01:20:28):
I guess they just decided it was a fluke. But
you and I, as we said last year though, when
they got to the Celtics, Yeah, it was a terrible man, right, horrible, horrible,
horrible sore. You're going where hair Kyle, if you're making
an opinion.

Speaker 5 (01:20:40):
I want to go with my heart here just because
I love Anthony Edwards. But I'm really I'm probably gonna
stay away from it. I'm gonna take the Lakers just
because their backs are against the wall here and the
series is over at Minnesota.

Speaker 2 (01:20:54):
Two for ely NBA series, I'm playing like three or
four from it are pretty good. I'm gonna play the
espiration card.

Speaker 3 (01:21:01):
Take the Lakers plus the three. They wouldn't shock anybody
if the Lakers won that game. Yeah, absolutely not. No,
you know, and look, Lebron's one of the legends. But
this would be a bad album if they get Luca
and bow out in the first round.

Speaker 2 (01:21:14):
Oh absolutely, they were like the third or fourth choice
when you're the third seed. Not good. Yeah, I'm telling you.

Speaker 4 (01:21:20):
The NBA is sitting there look at this and say there,
we could lose Golden State and you can lose the Lakers,
and that was the second round match.

Speaker 3 (01:21:26):
That's not what they're like everybody, So we would be
it could be Wolves, Wolves and Rockets.

Speaker 2 (01:21:32):
Yeah, nobody cares about that, correct, That's correct? Maybe not
even in Houston.

Speaker 3 (01:21:37):
In Minneapolis, okase would care. That's Boston minus seven. At Orlando. Look,
Orlando's two star young star players got a break and
been great.

Speaker 2 (01:21:51):
Benk Arrow and Vager. They've been sin sation.

Speaker 3 (01:21:53):
They scored sixty between them last night, but neither one
of them can shoot threes, and in fact, I don't
even know why they try. They're both pathetic, in fact,
their whole team is pathetic. But they're staying in the
series because up till now, Boston has only been outscoring
them by like eight to ten point three play basketball
in this era and not shooting. They're the worst three

(01:22:15):
point shooting in the NBA in like twenty years. They're
like thirty one and a half percent. But they're phenomenal
at defending the three, which negates how bad they are,
and so far they've been able to keep Boston from
making who's fifteen threes?

Speaker 2 (01:22:30):
Mosley I can't remember his first name, but he's done.

Speaker 3 (01:22:32):
He's done a good job because again you look at
their personnel and you go, hell the hell are they winning?
And keep in mind they're doing this without their point guard,
jail and Subs has been out for months.

Speaker 2 (01:22:40):
Yeah, I keep forgetting about you.

Speaker 3 (01:22:42):
He's a sitational young player, so that but their problem
is they got to find some shooting. I'm taking Boston.
I would like to know what Drew Holliday's situation is
if he's playing. I can't bet enough on Boston, but
I'm taking them just because they're Boston and at some
point they're gonna hit eighteen threes and.

Speaker 2 (01:22:58):
Blow Orlando out. Boston minus seventh from.

Speaker 4 (01:23:01):
Me, I don't like the game, but you know, I
hate betting against Boston's I just, you know, because I
don't think Orlando can win two in a row.

Speaker 2 (01:23:11):
And I could be wrong obviously because they're home.

Speaker 3 (01:23:13):
So I'm betting them to cover, and I hate betting
to cover, you know, but again, I don't know did
Drew hot. I just think Boston is going to be
really ticked off by what happened, and I think they
could win by double ditch.

Speaker 2 (01:23:27):
By the way, Orlando has Mac McClung. Oh the slam
dunp jit. Yeah, I'm a former Sixer? Is that twenty one?

Speaker 3 (01:23:35):
Did he play for the Sixers? Did he ever get in?

Speaker 2 (01:23:38):
Thought he was a league? Two games? Blackjack? Twenty one?

Speaker 3 (01:23:45):
Two games?

Speaker 2 (01:23:45):
Wow, black Jock. I was just researching to see who
he is. He on the playoff roster. I don't know,
you don't have any minutes logged or anything? Well whatever,
we can't. He's got to be twenty and a half
twenty and a half. I was trying to see who
the the coach was and I saw his name.

Speaker 3 (01:24:01):
J's still not saying it. Yeah, but I'll keep the coach.
That's what he's looking for. Its fine, don't worry about Yeah,
Jamal moves one more game, Milwaukee minus five Indiana.

Speaker 4 (01:24:19):
Indiana leads a series two games to one. Mike, I
like the Indiana before the series. I know the injury
to Dame, you know, effected things.

Speaker 2 (01:24:28):
Now he's been.

Speaker 4 (01:24:30):
And I think he's a show of himself anyway, but
the injury obviously doesn't not have the blood pought thing.
I'm gonna take Indiana. But again, if if Jannis wants
to score forty, which he might fifty, yeah, I mean
he can pretty much do what he wants. And I
think Indiana I just like getting five and a half. Yeah,
I think Indiana is a better team. I think last
night Darry Trente getting thirty seven again, I'm taking Indy.

Speaker 2 (01:24:52):
Wouldn't be great. Wouldn't be great, Dick? If the better
team always.

Speaker 3 (01:24:56):
Won, Yeah, we could just say, yeah, that's the better
who like Saturday journalism wins the Derby and I have
got a hundred thousand on him in four to one.

Speaker 2 (01:25:06):
Country. Got your thoughts, Indiana, Yeah, I like Indiana.

Speaker 5 (01:25:12):
I mean, Giannis has consistently put up thirty five plus
in each game and they still can't win.

Speaker 2 (01:25:19):
They can't guard.

Speaker 5 (01:25:20):
Except for you know when when what's his face put
up thirty seven to help him out there.

Speaker 2 (01:25:25):
You know what, Jannis is actually amazing.

Speaker 3 (01:25:27):
He can't shoot outside of twelve feet, but he doesn't
band from free throws.

Speaker 4 (01:25:31):
He doesn't, but he just drive to the rim at
will and nobody can stop. He takes five steps nowhere,
and you know what, this could be his last go
around in Milwaukee.

Speaker 3 (01:25:41):
What's this contract status? I think he signed, but you
want But in the NBA, it doesn't matter if you
signed or not.

Speaker 4 (01:25:48):
I mean, Durant's going to be you want Phoenix out,
you get out, right, So I don't know, I don't
know how he feels about it. But again, the championship
was four years ago and it's kind of blown up
on them a little bit. And their draft situation everything
is like horrible, their salary cap and there's teams that,
I mean every team in the league obviously would be.

Speaker 2 (01:26:08):
In they're older, they don't have any they don't have
any young stud kind of players on the roster at all.

Speaker 3 (01:26:15):
But final break, phill Up and Baseball lost ten of
their last fifteen games and five games in a road
day baseball today four pm. They should be doing in right,
I would think, Mike Clive bet in Philadelphia baseball, golf,
of the pro hoops and hockey playoffs.

Speaker 2 (01:26:29):

What eight hundred gambler?

Speaker 3 (01:28:31):
Dick you already Mike Kern Kyle not a maker? Lakers
Minnesota X sixers only one? Only one shake Milton shake
Milton for the Lakers. Can you look up the box
scores of Minnesota?

Speaker 2 (01:28:48):
Yeah, you didn't have any Minnesota one. I didn't.

Speaker 4 (01:28:50):
Is there any correlation here to the number of X
sixers you have to how far you can go into playoffs?

Speaker 3 (01:28:56):
We'll find out.

Speaker 4 (01:28:57):
I guess one team had four. You said right, there
was there one team that had like the Knicks. Well,
so they got no shot. I got nothing nothing from Minnesota.
I know Minnesota has Jaden McDaniel's. I know the Sixers
had his brother.

Speaker 3 (01:29:11):
I think doesn't count. Okay, alright, So here's one Miami
and Cleveland.

Speaker 2 (01:29:18):
One player? Oh bang bang niang? Is he on Cleveland still?
Georgian Atlanta eliminated in the player dang player. I'm impressed
with you, useless knowledge.

Speaker 3 (01:29:34):
That's okay, one player.

Speaker 2 (01:29:36):
This is not an easy one. Miami and Cleveland. Mike
lost no chance. Miami and Cleveland.

Speaker 3 (01:29:44):
I feel like it's a big veteran player who had
a brief run with the Sixers a couple of years ago.

Speaker 2 (01:29:51):
Guard shooting guard from Colorado. If that helps anybody from Colorado,
I got nothing and not Chelsea Billips, Alec Burks, Alan Burs.
I don't even know who that is.

Speaker 3 (01:30:08):
I honestly, Aleck, I'm beating his honest with you.

Speaker 2 (01:30:12):
I don't even know who that is. I was so
confident Bang bang the yang. So I'm glad he's not
on the cabs anymore.

Speaker 3 (01:30:20):
There you go.

Speaker 2 (01:30:21):
Okay, see Memphis, Okay, see and Memphis. I have one
Okase has Isaiah Joe.

Speaker 3 (01:30:30):
That's so impressive. Wow, I'm amazed. And I did not
look at Isaiah Joe.

Speaker 2 (01:30:38):
Who everybody thought he was going to be, like the
answer was the shooter. Yeah, well he ends up with
a good franchise.

Speaker 3 (01:30:43):
He's got a role he plays occasionally, and he's there
to make open threes.

Speaker 8 (01:30:48):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:30:49):
And finally, Houston Golden State. This should be relatively.

Speaker 5 (01:30:56):
Jimmy Buckets, Jimmy Butler, Cute Houston, have any money not
not on my list? Golden State. Oh this one might
have helped because I saw the box score earlier. But
Buddy Heal, Buddy Healed, my man, Buddy and those men.
How many guys those are your twenty former Sixers.

Speaker 2 (01:31:18):
I'll be serious.

Speaker 4 (01:31:19):
Now let's go back to about We'll just go to
like twenty nineteen on because that was the first year
they really made a run and people got excited.

Speaker 2 (01:31:26):
How many guys have come to the Sixers as the
answer or what?

Speaker 4 (01:31:31):
They're all like a Buddy Heal type kind of got
there will must be a half a dozen.

Speaker 2 (01:31:36):
What did Maury say about Buddy Hell? He puts the
fear of God.

Speaker 3 (01:31:40):
And fear God, fear of God. He used that phrase.
And the man still has a job.

Speaker 2 (01:31:46):
So here we go.

Speaker 3 (01:31:47):
Celtics Joe Holliday, Al Horford, Clippers, Ben Simmons, James Harden,
Niko Button, Pistons, to buy, Harris b Ball, Paul Red Pacers,
DJ McConnell, Tony Brad Nuggets, DeAndre Jordan Terio, sarahsu I

(01:32:10):
never liked by the way.

Speaker 2 (01:32:11):
I hated him, when they were.

Speaker 3 (01:32:13):
Talking about him. When I watched film of him when
I was still at the paper.

Speaker 2 (01:32:17):
They never liked him. It seemed like a nice guy,
but he was another savior.

Speaker 3 (01:32:20):
Right, not a good player Nicks Mikal Bridges for an
hour or thirty minutes, Yeah, not long, about thirty minutes,
not a long Landry Shammit campaign, PJ.

Speaker 2 (01:32:31):
Tucker, Blaker's Shape, Milton.

Speaker 3 (01:32:35):
Thunder, Isaiah Joe heat Alec Burks, Warriors, Jimmy Butler, Buddy Heal.
And if you said, if you can have like any
two or three of them, Drew Holliday, Jimmy Butler, Mikale Bridges.

Speaker 2 (01:32:53):
Yep, those would be my threat. You know I won't
mind having. And again it's not in that category. For
the column.

Speaker 4 (01:33:00):
I loved j I always thought loved he was miscast
if he was just the guy coming off the bench
for fifteen eighteen minutes to.

Speaker 2 (01:33:07):
Tell you what Mike I liked, I tell you loved t. J.
McCollum and opinion. I respect her. Lastly, Jimmy Lyon. Jimmy
Lynham told me he thinks he's Murray's cheeks. That's how
much he lost.

Speaker 4 (01:33:17):
A friend of mine, an older gentleman up the gym
who loved McCom. I mean he used to tell me.

Speaker 3 (01:33:22):
I said, look, I said, you can't win with him
as your starting point guard. But if he's on your
team playing like I said, fifteen to twenty minutes a game,
and the Sixers don't hurt, that could play more, could
play more, He'd be their best point guard.

Speaker 2 (01:33:35):
On this roster. No doubt he's a winning player. No
TJ mccomm no, I always, I mean he'd be my
next choice. McHale.

Speaker 3 (01:33:44):
I mean, jesus, I mean, he's like.

Speaker 2 (01:33:45):
Harden, serious heart and he was serious at the moment.
But yeah, but he's also paired with very hell hark.

Speaker 4 (01:33:52):
Very Harden was not a failure here in the sense
that when you got he won two games in the
Boston series by himself. Now, did game five disintegrate and
did game six just go down?

Speaker 2 (01:34:06):
Whatever?

Speaker 5 (01:34:06):
But if Harden went single handedly wins two games games
against Boston, then you're then you're on the first one.
Then your phenom should be able to win the other
something the other two for.

Speaker 3 (01:34:17):
You, I mean, and then again, James Harden has obviously
has the issues, but me is an offensive savant. He's
gone to the Hall of Fame, and obviously there was
a promise made.

Speaker 2 (01:34:30):
Yeah, not kept. Yeah, pretty clearly, pretty clearly. And then
again get.

Speaker 4 (01:34:34):
Over and mkil Bridges is everything you want in a
player in the NBA these days.

Speaker 2 (01:34:40):
But I gotta ask you a question.

Speaker 3 (01:34:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:34:42):
So the Phoenix Suns got to a final to twenty
one and they're winning two zip and they.

Speaker 3 (01:34:50):
Lose yep, and they they blow up the team to
get Kevin Durant, I mean four match. They had a
young up and coming get the center right who never
really managed right, good fire double guy Cam Johnson has
had a very nice career for the Nets. I mean

(01:35:11):
they had a real right Chris Paul is the veteran guy.
If you if you drafted well or traded well, you
had a change.

Speaker 2 (01:35:19):
They were up zip over the box. You had a
chance to be good for ten years. And they blew it.
And now there are clowns.

Speaker 3 (01:35:26):
And then they went out.

Speaker 4 (01:35:27):
Not only did they get three in, but then they
got And I'm not going to knock a team forgetting
it's Devin Booker, right, that's on that team.

Speaker 2 (01:35:32):
Yeah, Booker's already I'm not going to knock.

Speaker 3 (01:35:35):
But yeah, and they had Devin Booker already and they
got Bradley be Right, dude, it's the quick fix and
it just doesn't. Yeah, I won't want Bradley Bale on
my team.

Speaker 2 (01:35:46):
I'm just telling you.

Speaker 4 (01:35:46):
He's one of those guys. He's another guy liked. In fact,
I think Trey Young's better. But what I'm saying is,
Bradley Beal, you will never win with Bradley Bual.

Speaker 2 (01:35:54):
I don't care.

Speaker 3 (01:35:55):
He've been playing with a loserus whole life and he
became that nothing through no fault of his own.

Speaker 2 (01:35:59):
But you're with a Wizards logging enough about this year.
They wanted to trade him to a good team.

Speaker 3 (01:36:04):
They wanted to trade him to Miami because he just
moved to Look, I get it, if you if your
family life is important, I'm not gonna rip you for that.
But my god, you can go to Miami and I'll
stay in Phoenix. And Phoenix is a nice place. I'm
not knocking Phoenix, but my god, Bradley Beale. And I
heard somebody saying, well, the Sixers should try to trade

(01:36:24):
Paul George.

Speaker 2 (01:36:25):
For Bradley Beale.

Speaker 3 (01:36:27):
What does that do for me?

Speaker 2 (01:36:29):
It gives you a third shooting guard. In addition to
the two you already have.

Speaker 4 (01:36:33):
If you trade Paul George, you're gonna trade your problem
for somebody else's problem.

Speaker 3 (01:36:37):
That's exactly what's the only way it's gonna work. That's
the only way it's gonna work. You're absolutely right. It's
like when they traded Ben Simmons. That's how that was
gonna go down. You were gonna trade Ben your problem
for somebody else's problem. And you know it could have
been Halibert, which wouldn't have been a problem. Well, big
news out of Kentucky to Pans Street, who won the

(01:36:58):
Florida Derby out of the Kentucky Derby with a.

Speaker 2 (01:37:01):
Fracture in his right four land. Oh now is that fatal?

Speaker 3 (01:37:05):
No? No, no, that's a fixable. They get fractures. That's
probably a retirement. But yeah, go to stud Okay, good
horse probably was going to be like the third choice
in the race.

Speaker 2 (01:37:15):
This just happened.

Speaker 4 (01:37:16):
But if there a horse has something like they cannot
run again, like it's not well they could.

Speaker 2 (01:37:19):
God, they've come back from consiner fractures.

Speaker 3 (01:37:21):
But a horse that valuable, that's the same injury a
fleet Alex had twenty years ago after he won the Belmont.

Speaker 2 (01:37:26):
He never ran again. When you have really valuable horses
like that, you could bring the horse back, but it's
not worth it.

Speaker 3 (01:37:32):
But he's not going to be the same. So, uh
that opens up a spot that uh the post raw
is tonight.

Speaker 4 (01:37:39):
But this might put journalism's odds down right because you
know what that horse race, no question.

Speaker 3 (01:37:44):
Look, I thought he was a contender, Uh to pans Well,
everybody's content.

Speaker 2 (01:37:49):
I'm joking. I mean a serious contender.

Speaker 3 (01:37:52):
The last five years have been some of the more
bizarre horses ever win the Derby. Any early weather forecasts
for dinner next week, I have not looked.

Speaker 2 (01:37:58):
I don't want to look.

Speaker 3 (01:37:59):
I don't fact whether he is supposed to get colder.
I know, yeah, we're gonna get like some.

Speaker 4 (01:38:06):
It's may man, that's what happens like that, and then
two weeks shift to that it'll be ninety five.

Speaker 3 (01:38:11):
That's Philadelphia. But so the Eagles have how many picks
in the round left? They have four more picks left.
I don't think they have a seventh round pick.

Speaker 2 (01:38:19):
They don't have a seventh they have. I think they have.

Speaker 4 (01:38:24):
What some people are speculating is if they see a
guy early in the fourth round that they really like
they have enough ammunition to go up to maybe go
although my take would be if you didn't take him
in the third round, while you go to But again.

Speaker 2 (01:38:34):
They have two fours, three fives and a six, so
they have six left. Okay, so this is where they
they've done it. These are where it's harder to hit.

Speaker 3 (01:38:42):
Obviously they've hit mostly in the second and third and
first rounds.

Speaker 2 (01:38:46):
But they could use it. They could use the defensive
lineman here.

Speaker 4 (01:38:50):
I don't know anything about the guy from Texas, Miles Sanders,
Jalen Hurts, Dickerson, Cam Jurgens, and last year was the
Cooper de jene All second round five guys who are
I mean? I mean, hell, the quarterback maybe getting the
Hall of Fame some day. You know, heading in the
right he's heading in the right direction. Dickerson and Jurgens

(01:39:12):
have been signed now to longer term contracts. The gene
will probably so. And Miles Sanders was good, good. There
was nothing wrong with Miles Sanders. Good play unreal not Barkley.
That's just why I couldn't get on the field at
bench Barklay. And you know it's funny. I think I'm
not the year before they took jailing. It was the
year they took jail one of thosewo years. That was

(01:39:32):
a year they messed up on Jefferson and they took
what's his name?

Speaker 3 (01:39:37):
I mean that was the same year, Mike.

Speaker 4 (01:39:39):
It was the year before maybe twenty nineteen, right, it
was nineteen or twenty, I'm not sure. All twenty was
which was the worst was worth the worst non draft
pick ever?

Speaker 2 (01:39:49):
Yeah, that was.

Speaker 3 (01:39:49):
That was the one where everybody in America knew it
except the general manager at the Eagle.

Speaker 2 (01:39:54):
But I give him this, He made a comeback. He said,
you know what, I screwed up. I'm gonna go out
and get the Van Day Smith and I'm gonna get
a J. Brown. Absolutely so to me, perfectly.

Speaker 3 (01:40:03):
Everybody makes mistakes, Yep. The guy that comes back from
making the mistakes and says, hey, Roy McElroy and the Masters,
those are the guys with the Yeah, that's because it's
easy to get the back. In two thousand eleven, Roy
shoots eighty the last day Augustin. He did.

Speaker 2 (01:40:19):
Two months later, he wins the US Open by eight.
At Congression twenty nineteen was Andre Dillard Okay, Intil twenty
twenty was was Jefferson.

Speaker 4 (01:40:29):
That might have been, and then the Sixers and then
the Eagles took sailing in the second round.

Speaker 2 (01:40:34):
Yeah, you might be right. So you you you whiffed
on the on the Hall of Fame wide receiver, but
you got the quarterback. Say you know what? And your
two receivers are as good as any pair in the NFL.

Speaker 4 (01:40:46):
No, although I will say this right now, if one
of them gets hurt, I mean, and again, you can't
git back up. Yeah, and they need they could use
a little more depth on the offensive line.

Speaker 3 (01:40:56):
Yeah, because they just let Dodson go, right, he was
their third guy last year. They obviously that they can
do better at the draft or in the trade or
something or another. I don't who would their third receiver even,
I have no no clue. There's a tall kid from
No he's gone.

Speaker 2 (01:41:08):
John Doatson still here. It didn't they just they just didn't.
They just didn't resign.

Speaker 4 (01:41:13):
I thought he still had one more years because I
googled him the other day and it didn't say they
had let him go. But I heard that on the
radio that they had let him go.

Speaker 2 (01:41:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:41:21):
Look, maybe that's the wrong terminology. I think it was
like the just this rookie contract. It was something there
was something they didn't they needed to extend it, and
they said.

Speaker 2 (01:41:30):
They weren't doing it. I think they weren't doing it.

Speaker 3 (01:41:34):
Still on the road. Maybe there's a date when they
can do that, Like maybe they haven't hit that date yet.
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:41:39):
They declined his fifth year options, so he's gone after
after this upcoming year.

Speaker 4 (01:41:43):
This is his fourth year coming up. Yeah, okay, okay,
I'm I misread that. Then, well then he's still on.
If he's still on the team, he's their third receiver.

Speaker 3 (01:41:50):
Was fine and he was fine.

Speaker 2 (01:41:51):
He's the problem with good player. Yeah no as a
number three. I love it. Yeah, yeah, I apologize.

Speaker 4 (01:41:58):
I think and I know there's a long I think
the running back is not going to have as good
but he not having as good as year. It could
be fourteen fifteen hundred yards I think Jalen's going to have.

Speaker 3 (01:42:09):
If he doesn't get two K, then they gotta get
rid of I think Jailen and their schedule is gonna
be tough. They're gonna be playing some really good teams
in some hostile environments. I just think Jailen, I still
have problems with people in Philadelphia to sit there and go,
you know what, man, Jalen, Really, you were.

Speaker 2 (01:42:24):
Handing the ball to a guy who was gaining.

Speaker 4 (01:42:26):
The Eagles are rushing for two hundred and twenty five
yards a game, and only people in Philadelphia would have
a problem that it was.

Speaker 2 (01:42:32):
Boring or it wasn't.

Speaker 3 (01:42:33):
No, and every other game the running back was running
for a sixty yard touchdown.

Speaker 2 (01:42:38):
But we're nuts.

Speaker 4 (01:42:40):
They won sixteen at their last seventeen games, and the
one they lost, the quarterback didn't finished the game.

Speaker 2 (01:42:46):
That is so.

Speaker 3 (01:42:48):
And they won the Super Bowl by one hundred.

Speaker 2 (01:42:49):
They did thirty four and nail at one point.

Speaker 3 (01:42:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:42:52):
And if the day, if they had wanted to or
they needed to easy, they had kept everybody in and
tried to leave the score. Ye wudn't even Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:43:01):
That was actually my favorite part. When the coach said, Hurts,
figure out we have enough. He goes, what do you mean?

Speaker 2 (01:43:06):
What are you talking about?

Speaker 3 (01:43:08):
I'm still angry about two years ago. I want to
cross can he Pickett? I would love to ask. And
why was Andy?

Speaker 2 (01:43:15):
I love Andy? Andy? I mean he's won three Super Bowls?
He what was Mohames doing it? At the end of
the game. Why was Andy Why didn't he just wave
the white flag like and just say I think he
was embarrassed that they were he was, and he wanted
to make the score a look better than.

Speaker 3 (01:43:30):
Going for two point Carsons.

Speaker 2 (01:43:32):
And he didn't want to put Carson Wentz in the game.

Speaker 3 (01:43:35):
I would have put Carson went and I would Yeah,
what would have happened if Mahomes got hurt there?

Speaker 2 (01:43:39):
I mean and the Eagles were tearing off of them? Yeah,
i mean really, why why is he was he out
there that they were.

Speaker 3 (01:43:45):
Going for Because I was in a pool where one
of my friends had a chance to win the pool
and he's going for two and I'm like, why why
is he going for two? And then he did it again?
Then he had an on side kick like and I'm like, no, dude,
you're down forty to twelve, like, please come on. But
but Andy's earned the right to do that, you know, Hey,

(01:44:06):
he can do what he wants. Hey, he's going he's
gonna break Schule's record. I'm telling you, he's how far
away is at this point like three seasons maybe.

Speaker 4 (01:44:15):
Three or I mean, assuming that they're gonna win, you know,
eleven twelve, thirteen games, a year.

Speaker 3 (01:44:20):
No reason to think they're not gonna win, right, They've
won the division, like what eight straight years. Defense is
really good, the quarterbacks.

Speaker 2 (01:44:28):
He's among the base.

Speaker 4 (01:44:29):
Just drafted a lineman that can help protect the quarter
I mean, I think it's hilarious that people think the
Chiefs are just.

Speaker 3 (01:44:35):
Going to go And I'm not saying, Look, the Chiefs
might not win any more Super Bowls in the next
three four I don't know. They've been very fortunate the
last couple of years. They've won a million, they'd won
a million close games. They still they still have that
close game streak going. They just weren't in one.

Speaker 2 (01:44:48):
Yeah, but Andy's fifty five wins behind me.

Speaker 4 (01:44:52):
That's four years maybe right, Yeah, that's probably more like
four three three would be impossible.

Speaker 2 (01:44:57):
Do they count they count your playoff wins? Also?

Speaker 3 (01:44:59):
They gets just regular season. I think it's just regular Okay,
I believe Yeah. I mean, he went out, they got
a tack. You know, they said, hey, we can't block.
The Eagles were in the we're in our backfield the
whole Yes, they were, you know, And I'll tell you
one thing, Know, did the Bucks and the Eagles kind
of prove the way you beat the Chiefs. He just
live in the backfield. Don't let Patrick Homes do anything, right,

(01:45:22):
I mean, as great as he is, he can't do anything.
If they got it, don't let them The lineman set
up in the pocket at the same time he does.

Speaker 2 (01:45:29):
He's got issues. Uh So here's what's to look forward
to Next Saturday.

Speaker 3 (01:45:33):
Kentucky Derby Day Parks open across the way, and interestingly enough, Mike,
they're going to have a display of Smarty Jones, Kentucky
Derby and Preakmus winning trophies. Wow Up, Walk Up the
ramp be twenty one years, twenty one years and in
honor of him just being elected, as I said officially
on Thursday, And if you get a chance.

Speaker 2 (01:45:56):
Go on YouTube.

Speaker 3 (01:45:57):
We'll be back on NBC Sports Field next week with
Let's Go Racing on Let's Go Racing dot Com.

Speaker 2 (01:46:04):
This week the YouTube show. My buddy Bruce Cassello, who
produces it.

Speaker 3 (01:46:08):
Went down to Florida on Tuesday and I surprised Pat Chapman,
the owner of Smarty Jones, to let her know that
her horse was going into the Hall of Day. It's
kind of what some of the the NFL guys do
when their players are going into the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 2 (01:46:23):
Or baseball, they get a call. We set it up.

Speaker 3 (01:46:26):
The guy at the Hall of Fame is nice enough
to let me know on Monday that Smarty Jones had
been voted in.

Speaker 2 (01:46:31):
So now down.

Speaker 3 (01:46:33):
Well, Roy Chapman passed away twenty years ago with the Facima.
But yeah, Missus Chapman lives in Florida and Bruce went
down and she had no idea.

Speaker 2 (01:46:43):
What was going on.

Speaker 3 (01:46:43):
It's pretty good team, so let me get And then
we did the same thing with John Servis, the trainer
on Thursday, where Missus Chapman called him, and we have
that so we know years Philadelphia horses won five races.

Speaker 2 (01:46:56):
Do I have that rate?

Speaker 3 (01:46:57):
Marty one two ifleet Alex won too, and Barbara won
the Derby and then got hurt, hurt in.

Speaker 2 (01:47:03):
The Preness, correct, that's right?

Speaker 3 (01:47:05):
Yea horses with philia and they were a length away
in the Belmont and a length away in the Derby
from winning seven in a row. Horses with Philadelphia ties.
And if Barbara doesn't get hurt, no telling he was,
you don't know. He could have been the best of
all of them. His derby was the most impressive I
ever saw in person. It was phenomenal. It's just took

(01:47:26):
a bit. Was it just a bad step in there
coming out of pleteness? Nobody quite knows exactly what happened.
The vet who operated on Dean Richardson from the New
Bolton Center in Kennett Square, he thinks he got stepped
on from behind and that's what happened. Uh, you lived there,
You lived at there for three months, right, I remember
you count that story? Yeah, it was crazy and he

(01:47:46):
got hurt in the Preakness. I spent the entire next
day at the New Bolton Center. Didn't get until midnight
and then yeah, they actually they ended up having to
put him down the following January because they're just all
these complications.

Speaker 2 (01:47:56):
But if you were covering horse racing for another one
hundred years, yep.

Speaker 3 (01:48:00):
You'll never get that story ago, no chance Philadelphia or
the greater Philadelphia area, right, And Smarty Jones is gonna
be the fourth ever, of course, born in the state
of Pennsylvania, to go into the Racing Hall of Fame.

Speaker 2 (01:48:13):
So, and the Hall of Fame has been around for
seventy five years. That's crazy. So it's pretty impressive. It's
hard to believe that was twenty years ago.

Speaker 3 (01:48:20):
But I guess everything's going fast forward for people like
you and me, Mike, even maybe even for Kyle.

Speaker 2 (01:48:26):
Oh, definitely fast forward to I'm feeling it. He came
up with like seventeen name totally, so what is it is? Twenty?
We came up with twenty. Matt mcclun would be twenty
and a half. Yeah, he's got to be on a
playoff ross So.

Speaker 3 (01:48:42):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:48:43):
PJ.

Speaker 3 (01:48:43):
Tucker is my personal favorite. I mean, you got a lot.
I mean he seems like one of the greatest guys ever. Yeah,
but the idea that they brought him into here to
be the savior, and people who know nothing about basketball
kept saying that whole year, Well he's a great defender
and he's this, and you could see and I felt
bad for you could see he had nothing. All I
remember people telling me is thirty eight. People kept telling

(01:49:05):
me we need a player like PJ. Tucker, we need
to get tough, and I'm like, he's tough for Miami.

Speaker 2 (01:49:11):
Yeah he's not.

Speaker 3 (01:49:12):
You know, you put him on this team.

Speaker 2 (01:49:17):
I got it.

Speaker 3 (01:49:18):
Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 2 (01:49:18):
