you're coming around a little bit.

Yeah, feel pretty good about it and working on getting
Mike Karn on the line right now, who's almost ready.
But I would give the six Ers an a plus
for the Edgecomb pick. I'm really thrilled with everything he's
bringing from a personality standpoint, and I think that's something
that's worth noting for whw their decision making process went.
Broom is another guy, a high character kid, a guy
that's a winner. So I think that's the trend. But

I think there's legitimate reason to be excited about the
Sixers team, which was just desperately needed with the franchise.

Yeah, no question, And what we said all along was
I needed to get younger and more athletic.

Edgecumb incredibly more athletic, and Kyle and I were talking
about this before we came on. One of their big issues
was they didn't really inhabit had a wing defensive stopper
for a long time. When I watch Edgecombe one tape,
the thing that I'm most impressed with is his defensive fundamentals.
Whoever's coached him, and obviously he was well coached at

Baylor and even before that at Long Island Lutheran where
he played with Carmelo, Anthony's son and the Mingo brothers,
one of whom is going to be the Penn State
point guard this year and the other one is going
to be like a top ten or twenty recruit. When
he played for Long Island Lutheran, Y got great coaching there,

so that part impresses me.

He's obviously a high flyer.

Again, when I watched tape, I didn't love the mechanics
on his shot, on his three point shot. But I've
seen a little more since then, and I've always concerned.
I don't like mechanics going from the college line to
the pro line. Yeah, you're starting to throw it, but
maybe that's not what they need anyway. And if he's
not great at it, well they got guys that can
do that obviously already would think.

Yeah. I mean it's starting to grow on me more
and more. I mean you talk about, you know, the
two big names where Ace Bailey and VJ. Edgecomb. Now,
as Bailey wasn't a solidified day one stutter either, I
mean he's kind of a project. His ceiling might be
a little bit higher than than VJ. Edgecomb, But I
think VJ. Edgecombe, his demeanor and his defensive presence is

what this team needs right now because they have the
shooters in Maxi and McCain and Georgia if he's healthy,
but they were looking for that defensive perimeter player and
then you throw in Quentin Grimes, so they're they're stacked
in guard. I think he has the ability to. It

seems like that he's willing to grow as a player
as well. And that's something that Sean Bernard said, is
really having that character, that dog in him to to
really grow his game and be a winner. And that's
something that the Sixers team really needs because as much
as a Joelle Embe or Paul George would like to
take that role, I personally don't think they have that

But as far as helping your team win, he really
has never done that at any level in his career,

if Embid isn't right, all this is I don't want
to say it's irrelevant because then they just go on
to the next phase of what six Ers basketball is
going to look like in the next five years with
these young guys. But they're not winning anything next year

feel like that they've turned a page organizationally as far
as this is the next generation with McCain, with Edgecombe

I mean Maxey Maxy was a good draft choice obviously

had a terrific run when he was playing last year.

the more I like him and I like how he is.
I love his backstory from the Bahamas.

To want to that this team is desperate for exactly
