Speaker 4 (01:07):
To Sports here, there and every oh It is It
is good to be back.

Speaker 5 (01:11):
Not in Parks yet.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
That will happen next week, but it's it's good to
be back talking some college football with that.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
And next week is Pennsylvania Derby Days.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Oh day after the you can walk across the parking
lot and see see some very good horses running. So
on the agenda today, as John just said, we'll go
over to the college football games in this first hour.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
We'll do the NFL games in the second hour.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Point spreads likes Eagles Kansas City obviously, specifically, we'll get
to that at the top. Phillies are running away, obviously
with the National League Geese. Now I'm twelve on the Mets,
who have faded into oblivion to the point you ready
for this, but Mets are now half a game ahead
of the San Francisco Giants for the last wild card.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
At one point they were forty five.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
I've been twenty four, the best record in MLB since then,
thirty one and forty eight. They've lost seven in a row.
The Phillies are the hottest team in baseball. Phillies are
fifty and twenty three at home, so they.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
Really would like that buye.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
And right now they're five and a half clear of
the Dodgers, who lost again last night to the Giants
and the Phillies are only two games behind the Brewers
for the best records, so that's now in play to
try to get the best record in the National League,
to get home.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Field, where it obviously matters.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
They are so good at Citizens Bag Park and it
doesn't seem to matter who's pitching. They're all hitting and
they're winning and they're crushing teams. And the Mets are
yesterday's news. So the big game, the Philadelphia's playing Kansas
City this week and everything in case nobody's known as baseball.

(02:52):
Potentially they could clinch the East before the Eagles even
play the Chiefs on Sunday afternoon. If the Phillies win
two more and then the Mets lose two more, atomagic
number is three, which is very Likely's right, you're some combination.
There are three loss and three wins and losses by
the two teams. The Phillies will have clinched the East

(03:15):
Eagles Chiefs. That game started. When we were on the
show last week, John that the Chiefs were a slate favor,
but that's before Worthy was declared out. Now Dallas Goddard
is out for the Eagles, but the Eagles are on
point and a half favorite at bet Parks. Got it.
I saw this online. It's kind of a stunning He's

(03:36):
been half fifteen games in the last two years. They're
twelve and three in the games he's been out, so
they're gonna have only lost like one game year and
a half. Yeah, there's that problem, man. They don't lose
that often.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
John will start with you Eagles Chiefs Chiefs a home
dog for the first time in like decades.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
Probably, Yeah, it doesn't happen often, and usually when it does,
you would lean the Kansas City side. Just because the
Patrick Mahomes hasn't lost very many back to back games
in his career. The Chiefs don't lose very many games
in general, they don't lose very many games at home,
so everything kind of just screams Chiefs. But I just
think that offense has a lot of problems. It is

(04:15):
very Patrick Mahomes dependent. And while they have been able
to get by on that, they got to a Super
Bowl last year on that, it's still it's gonna run
into problems when you go up against teams as good
as the Eagles.

Speaker 5 (04:26):
Now, if the.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
Chiefs can exploit the second cornerback for the Eagles and
doriy Jackson. Whoever it is the way that Dallas did,
Maybe the Chiefs can win this game because I think
the Eagles offense was fine. The Eagles defense was maybe
the bigger problem. I think the Eagles looked a little
bit more vulnerable in Week one than they have really
all of last season, especially after the bye week in

(04:47):
Week four. But I just don't think the Chiefs have
that kind of skill position players to do that. So
until I see it, I actually think the Eagles are
just the better team and they should win this one.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Yeah, I mean Jackson's but I would not create the
Eagles defense because without Carter, they're not remotely the same defense.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
So let's let's crede them one.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
They didn't have their best player, their pass rush wasn't
what it could pay five. Yeah. Look, it's a fascinating contest. Mike,
your thoughts. I know you were all Patrick Mahomes fans.
I mean, he's on his way to the Hall of Fame.
Win three Super Bowls, he's been in five, it's crazy. Yeah,
your thoughts, there's only one.

Speaker 6 (05:23):
It's kind of like the Super Bowl when I took
the Chiefs based on the fact that they won like
seven straight playoff games, and I had them like in
all seven Eagles killed them, which because the Eagles were
the better team at that point, because Patrick Mahomes had
been a magician to get the Chiefs to that point.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Okay, we all know that the Eagles are the better team.

Speaker 6 (05:41):
Like right now as we sit here, there's no doubt
in my mind, the Chiefs might not even be in
the top three or four five teams in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
But you're playing in Kansas City. The Eagles won their
two years ago a night game. Yep.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
The only reason why you would play the Chiefs.

Speaker 6 (05:56):
Game is because of the coach, the quarterback, and the
fact that they're trying not to go oh and two
because oh and two teams that's the problem only make
the playoffs twelve percent of the time. Now it's the Chiefs,
so maybe that they're in a tough division.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Yep. I mean, Denver's good, the Chargers look like they're
pretty good. Obviously Vegas is better.

Speaker 6 (06:14):
But again, just if this didn't involve the Chiefs, you
would take the Eagles all day long in this game,
which is why their favored and they have more time
because they played on a Thursday.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Yep. The Chiefs played in you know whatever whatever.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
The Eagles played late lay on Saturday.

Speaker 6 (06:29):
And again it almost and they just beat them by
forty points in the Super Bowl, like the last time
they played.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
There's no reason to bet the Chiefs, which is probably
why I wouldn't play it. But if if you said
to me, I think the Eagles are gonna win and
win whatever, Yeah, I think if you try to just
look at this rationally, it was thirty four to nothing
late in a third quarter in a Super Bowl. Yes
it was. I mean it was a blowout. I mean
they crushed them, and it was mostly because the Mahomes

(06:57):
couldn't throw the ball because he had no time to
for them. Yes, they just the Eagles were in the
backfield faster than he was, so forget I mean, he's
obviously better than that. Then he freaked out a little
bit late after they couldn't do anything and through two
terrible picks and the and that turned the whole game.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
The Eagles went they were gonna.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
Win anyway because they were just bigger, stronger, tougher better
at that moment. I think there's just what Mike said.
I don't see a lot that has changed in the interim,
the stakes obviously aren't nearly as significant and Kansas City
doesn't need to win.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
Look, I thought.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
Kansas City's defense wasn't awful in the Super Bowl, but
when they like their offense, their offense let him down
and their offensive line was horrible, and and then by
that time the Eagles just their defense kind of caved
because their offense couldn't.

Speaker 6 (07:48):
Know the problem the Chiefs had and Pacheco was out latuous.
Their running game was a look.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
Their wide receivers stand, they're hurt, right, Yeah, they're all
They don't have a deep No, they got the guy
they drafted is a deep traft. But Hollywood Brown is back.
But yeah, but again he's just a guy Homes Mahomes,
and you protect Mahomes, he's going to beat you.

Speaker 6 (08:10):
Most of the time, I thought, I there was some
stat which won't be surprising. The Chiefs are something like
forty and fifteen. Let's just say straight up, like, which
is all you're asking him to do this week?

Speaker 2 (08:22):
All they gotta do is win the game, and you're
right at home. I think it was at home, or
maybe with Mahomes, I don't know. They haven't been an
underdog at home.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
In like three or four years or whatever.

Speaker 6 (08:31):
The last time they were an underdog it might have
been in that playoff game against Cincinnati to one year
when Mahomes had the bad ankle.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
Maybe not, they were a dog again, no, nobody, it's close.

Speaker 6 (08:42):
But again, if you believe in Mahomes and Andy and
and that stadium I've heard is one of the toughest
places to play. The Eagles went after two years ago
won a game, and the Chiefs won a Super Bowl
that year.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
I guess right they did. And again there's no.

Speaker 6 (08:58):
Reason, but I just don't want to go like all
in with the Eagles and then have Kansas City pool
of Kansas City.

Speaker 7 (09:06):
Yeah, I mean, you talk about logic. Eagles are obviously
the better team, more well rounded. The only position that
the you know, Kansas City might have the upper edges
quarterback and even still probably get snack. Yeah, it's not
that much.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
They played against three times.

Speaker 5 (09:23):
Yeah, and Jalen Hurts has outperformed him every time.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (09:28):
But I'm gonna go against logic here because Patrick Mahomes
is somebody that defies odds and uh in a situent
situation like this, you're coming off in a divisional loss
Week two at home, you're a dog.

Speaker 5 (09:43):
I don't.

Speaker 7 (09:43):
I really don't have an x's and o's explanation for you.
But I'm I'm gonna ride Kansas City in this game.
I think Andy Reid Spags on the defensive end, they're
gonna have a game plan. And Mahomes is good enough
that if you give him anything to work with, he's
gonna find find a way to make it work. And
now that doesn't mean, you know, I would be surprised

(10:05):
if the Eagles won, But if you you know, as
my colone always says, if you put it gun to
my head, I'm I'm gonna roll with Kansas City with
no logic, just the fact that it's Patrick Mahomes. And
for the situation that's this is, did you.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
Make Did you make a pick? Micro? You passed on this? Well?

Speaker 3 (10:22):
Since I took since I took Kansas City in February,
I don't.

Speaker 6 (10:26):
But I'm not sitting here telling you I love Kansas
I'm along the lines of what Kyle's saying. I think
the interesting thing in this game is what Spags does.
I think Spags had.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
A pretty good game plan in the super Bow Stock
Parkle and and the.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
Two interceptions just changed the whole game.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
And then it was already going bad for them at
that point it was ten nil, but you can see
their opposes is big trouble. And and Mahomes himself said, look,
I should have just relaxed and relied on our defense
to keep us in.

Speaker 6 (10:57):
The game to picks and he never panics. But again,
I gotta believe that much like we said last year
in the Super Bowl, the Eagles remembered two years ago,
which they did. I think the Chiefs remember now, whether
they can do anything about it, that's they got. They
got embarrassed they did.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
I mean, they got totally embarrassed in the biggest game
there is, going for a three pep And.

Speaker 6 (11:18):
I wonder if they had beaten the Chargers last week.
I wonder if people will be looking differently at this
game because I think people were like, oh.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
My god, well they'd favor the game if they won,
but not by man, they would they would point two.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
Yeah, for sure, John, did you make us like you
made the Eagles?

Speaker 1 (11:35):
Right?

Speaker 5 (11:35):
Yeah, I'm going to go with the Eagles.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
And you know, I mean the scary part is and
Kyle mentioned it too that if there's something to exploit.
The Chiefs usually find it, and Patrick Mahomes will find it.
Patrick Mahomes is one of the best, like pre snap
quarterbacks in the NFL right now, that's his superpower at
the moment, not his playmaking ability, but he knows where
to go with the ball, and he is going to
exploit the fact that the Eagles maybe don't have a
good second option at cornerback, so that going with the

(11:59):
door Jackson again to start, Yeah, they absolutely will. But
the thing is, even if they change it, I just
don't know. Even if they go to Bennett, let's say,
I just don't think that's even a viable option at
this point because he hasn't been with the Eagles for
as long, so Beagles defense doesn't work in progress at
the moment in terms of secondary And yeah, the Chiefs
absolutely have an opening there, but it's just that I
don't know if they have the skill position players to

(12:21):
take advantage of that as much.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
Yeah, I think the theory on Jackson is at least
that the coach will find a way to scheme around
his faults because the coach is so good, but he
better because he was.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
The GM will find a way to trade three quarter.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
Five cornerback somewhere. I'll take the Eagles, so we'll make
it too too. All right, on to college football nude
on Fox. Oh, one thing real quick. Yeah, what's Aj
Brown's catch total today?

Speaker 6 (12:46):
You might want to look at that because I don't
think Aj is going to get one catch hopefully not.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
Yeah, that would not be a good thing. I've never
saw the all twenty two, so I don't know if
he was open or not open, or they just used
him as a decoy. Remember he'd been hurt, Yeah, practiced
at all? Yeah, maybe that was the issue. Last week?
All right, noon game on Fox Oregon, which I mean,
it's played like the best team in the country, minus
twenty eight and a half at Northwestern. For people that

(13:14):
don't know, this Northwestern stadium, which is right on their campus,
is being renovated. They're playing in like a makeshift stadium
right on Lake Michigan that holds like ten people. It's
like the It's like the Sacramento A's of college football.
So I don't know what kind of home field advantage
Northwestern is gonna have. Kyle will start with you.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
The Ducks giving twenty eight and a half on the road.

Speaker 5 (13:36):
Oh man, big ten open.

Speaker 7 (13:38):
Well, the way you saw what happened last week, it
seems like everything's starting to come into forum with college
football the way it's supposed to. Week zero, Week one
is always a little sloppy. A lot of bad games
last week. Conference play, yeah, because of what happened last week.
I know you shouldn't, but the top dogs are just

(14:00):
forming really well. I see no reason to go from
Northwestern here. I'm gonna ride Oregon in the points.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
So I think it was Joe Klatt, one of the
really smart commentators out there. He said he's watched everybody.
He said Oregon is the best team you've seen, and
he actually said Oregon this year is better than Oregon
last year, which shock me.

Speaker 7 (14:19):
Nicks, Yeah, bon Knicks, Oh yeah, that was two years.

Speaker 5 (14:25):
That's Dylan Gabriel. One am I talking.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
That's right.

Speaker 5 (14:29):
I'm still drinking coffee.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
Guys. John your thoughts on the Ducks early on and
they me sixty nine to three. We knew they were
going to run it up. Score in the fourth corner.
We knew they were going to run it up on the.

Speaker 3 (14:41):
Bozo coach on the other team opened up.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
His mouth in trouble get it, he might not make
the whole season. John, your thoughts on the Ducks giving
four touchdowns.

Speaker 4 (14:51):
Yet Northwestern has an offense problem. They do not score
very much. It is going to be hard against the
decent and good I would say Oregon defense, they are
one of the better teams in college football.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
They're number four right now.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
But if you can't score it all against Oregon, you're
gonna have trouble covering because Oregon is going to score
against anybody. Dante Moore has done a great job. So
he transferred from UCLA last year to Oregon, sat one
year behind Dylan Gabriel and it really reset him. He
is he is a top prospect, coming top recruit coming
out of high school, and it seems that the one
year sitting and kind of learning really helped him out.

Speaker 5 (15:26):
He looks efficient.

Speaker 4 (15:27):
He is every bit of the athlete and kind of
quarterback that everybody expected when he came out of high school.
So yeah, I just think Oregon rolls a Northwestern team
that just is lacking any talent and especially on offense,
and that's a big problem against Oregon.

Speaker 5 (15:41):
Well, they put up forty two against Western Illinois last week.

Speaker 4 (15:44):
When you talk about they went up against Tulane and
put up three three and Deelane's good.

Speaker 5 (15:50):
Don't get me wrong.

Speaker 4 (15:51):
Delane's a good defense, but Oregan's probably better.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
And that's a big pike.

Speaker 3 (15:57):
I can't wait for two weeks from now. Oh yeah,
the Oregans hang on, you get this.

Speaker 6 (16:03):
I will caution everybody with the NFL and college it's early.
There's still an exhibition season and will be probably due
about the end of this month, especially in the NFL
because they don't play anybody.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
But you can't bet Northwestern.

Speaker 6 (16:17):
If you want to tell me you're not betting the game,
hey that, but there is no way on God's green
Earth you bet Northwestern and hope they lose by what
twenty four?

Speaker 3 (16:27):
I mean Oregon Oregons can name the score.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
They might go there.

Speaker 6 (16:31):
It's a little bit like Oklahoma coming to Temple later
on tayor if Oklahoma cares, you know, Temple probably doesn't
have a shot.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
If Oregon cares, Northwestern has no shot. But there's no
reason to think they're not going to care. And yeah,
I mean, and they just there's like a track meet
how they play. Obviously, Dan Lanning's done a great job
out there. They were, but how often do they play
in stadiums like you're talking to them. You know, it's
like on a record, like what, But yeah, that's what
they're playing. And that game's now on one Fox at

(17:01):
noon and Mike refer to the game. In two weeks,
it's a white out at Penn State. Penn State host
Villanova one hour air today they're off three thirty. Penn
State has a buye. Oregon plays Oregon State next week.
But yeah, the Argan State sticks. Yeah, so that'll and
that's at home. Yeah for Oregon, that's their tune off
to get.

Speaker 4 (17:19):
I'm going to say, Penn State, you better find some
consistency on offense.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
I hear if we'll get.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
There, Tarlie John, we'll get We'll get to that arly.
But yeah, if that game was today, you'd be hard
pressed to like Penn State off the first two weeks.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
Yeah, I'm making a consensus. Giving the four touchdowns, I
think I think Northwestern is going to score ten. So
the question is, is are going to sort less than forty?
To the answer probably no? Uh all right, Uh Clemson
is this game has gone all over the place.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
They were minus nine and a half to start the week.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
Now I saw minus three three at Georgia Tech. Uh,
Clemson has been a major disappointment through two weeks. They
lose at home to LSU. All right, well you can
lose LSU.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
Then they trailing Troy, but they scored ten points, right,
They're trailing Troy sixteen.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
To zerl H. Late later in the game they come
back to when I don't know what is going on
down there, because we all thought the Clemson was gonna
be one.

Speaker 3 (18:17):
Of the teams this year.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
Georgia Tech went to Colorado and won, which means nothing.
That Colorado got blasted. Last night in Houston. They asked
Dion as your team struggling. He says, no, we're just
getting the hell beat out on us. So he just
told the truth. Yeah, it's just not very That's as
true as he gets. Andy Micha will start with you.
Georgia Tech at home Grant Field, downtown Atlanta, getting three

(18:40):
from the Tigers.

Speaker 6 (18:41):
I feel a little bit about this game, like the
chief Sagles game, ESPN game. Yeah, Like, do I see
Clemson going to one and two with a team that
was supposed But I'm telling you, first of.

Speaker 3 (18:52):
All, the line's telling you something. It's only three or whatever.
I'm telling you, I saw nine and a half like
early in the week.

Speaker 6 (18:57):
I'm telling you what, and I circle I think Georgia
Tech has a legit chance to beat them.

Speaker 3 (19:03):
Georgia Tech's pretty good.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
They're good right now.

Speaker 6 (19:05):
Again, the Clemson quarterback going to play leg A Heisman
Trophy is their front. They got two first round NFL
picks on their defensive line, and again they only gave
up seventeen LSU right correct. If they only score ten,
I'm telling you, I mean Clemson could turn around and
just say, hey, you know we're gonna beat to clem.
But I'm telling you, I'll bet you Georgia Tech is

(19:25):
as stoked for this game sure as they've been for
a while. So I it's a tough game for me.
But if I was gonna lean one way, I'd go
with the Texters.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
Yeah, I'm gonna take Clemson on just on the movement
of the money. Whenever the money goes one way the
other way? Did it really go from ninety I haven't
written down. It's possible I wrote it down wrong. Can
you see a movement of the lines over there? I
can probably look at articles from earlier this week see
if I've it's possibly I've lost my mind. Just wrote
it down wrong. Kyle, you got a thought on this.

Speaker 7 (19:54):
One, just on merit. I'm gonna go with Clemson. I
know they've been struggling again. It's early in the season.
Teams are going to be struggling. I think hopefully this
is a get right game for Clemson moving forward. Fifty
two points is a lot, but you know, if it's
gonna be a high scoring game, I'm gonna ride with
who I think is the better team in Clemson.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
Hip John.

Speaker 4 (20:16):
Yeah, this is a difficult one for me because I
came into the season liking Clemson a lot. They were
a team me a contender for a college Football playoff
final semi final, and they haven't looked that part. But
Georgia Tech, on the other hand, is a team that
I loved last season. They played really well. They've returned
a lot of starters from last season to this season,
so I love them again. They were one of my

(20:37):
again sleeper teams coming into the ACC and thought they
could compete in the ACC.

Speaker 5 (20:42):
So this is that big.

Speaker 4 (20:43):
Matchup where Georgia Tech to me has looked great.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
Now.

Speaker 4 (20:46):
Haynes King didn't play in the last game, he is
playing in this one, So how effective is he going
to be with the injury and how is he going
to be one hundred percent?

Speaker 5 (20:54):
I think that's a bit of a question mark.

Speaker 4 (20:56):
But at this point, I just don't love the way
Clemson has looked, and it's happened with Daboswiney at times
in the past couple of seasons that maybe he's not
getting it anymore. You know, he has the talent. Talent
is not an issue like that. That cannot be the
issue anymore. You can't say, well, they don't have the
wide receivers. Maybe they don't have the quarterbacks like they
used to, like Kay klub Micks a third year starter

(21:19):
at this point, and he's got NFL prospect type. They
have wide receivers coming back this year that everybody loves.
Their defensive line is as good as it has been
with some of the Clemson national championship teams. This is it,
Like this is the team that Clemson has been waiting
for since they've won those national championships, and they have
looked horrid.

Speaker 5 (21:40):
So I just I can't.

Speaker 4 (21:42):
I can't back a team that has been that bad,
and when coaching has been an issue, I think for
a few seasons. Now I think coaching again has been
an issue on Georgia Tech right now to me just
looks like a better team and maybe just as talented
as this point. At this point, it feels like, so
I'm gonna go with the Yellow Jackets.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
Yeah, two Techs took Clemsons in a sign I gotta
run this. Mike does a thing every week. Were to
frog five. Uh, this is unbelievable. You mentioned earlier that
the Oregon quarterback was at U c l A, right, yeah,
and the Tennessee quarterback was at U c l A. Correct, No,
the other way around.

Speaker 3 (22:15):
Now, the Tennessee quarterback was that at UCLA.

Speaker 4 (22:18):
Yes, Tennessee quarterback went from the app State, transferred to
u c l A and then transferred to Tennessee.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
UCLA went to Tennessee. U c LA played in the
Rose Bowl last night? Are you aware of this? And
played in New Mexico.

Speaker 5 (22:30):
You ready for the score?

Speaker 2 (22:31):
Oh God, let me U c l A ten Yeah,
New Mexico thirty five. Yeah. They're they're bad. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (22:40):
And the people people a lot on the quarterback and
they're going to put it a lot on Nico. That
is a horrible U c l A team, So I
like the guy is getting a lot of flat and
I understand that college football the way it is now,
sometimes athletes are going to chase money and people aren't
going to like it.

Speaker 5 (22:57):
But I don't blame the kid.

Speaker 4 (22:59):
At times, maybe for his career it was very short sighted,
but I can't blame him. And I think he is
going to get a lot of flak and he's going
to get more of the target on him than U.
C l A is a program who is just a
horrible program. It is is a downright terrible college football
program at this week.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
That's why Chip Kelly left. I guess he looks pretty.

Speaker 2 (23:16):
Smart right now. Yeah, he's smart. National title ring host
for a national title team and now he's back in
the NFL with Vegas. One of O.

Speaker 7 (23:24):
By the way, the best I have is as of
five days ago, whatever day that lands on, it was
six and a half.

Speaker 5 (23:30):
Okay, so you might be in the right road.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
Significantly. Yeah, that's that's that's a lot.

Speaker 2 (23:35):
That's a big line. So you c l I, Mike,
you can, you can mark them up.

Speaker 6 (23:39):
I remember you texted me that you said I took Yeah,
I took him in the Yeah, they lost, they got
they got an annihilated by Utah and it wasn't like Utah
was all that good. We should write notes down like
as the season goes on, here would be my note.
Do not any what bet you cl year. You can

(24:00):
back against them. But if there's a week where you think,
because they're gonna win some games, Penn State plays them
in the rose Ball in a few weeks.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
But again, let's say UCLA's playing a drag team and
you say, oh my god, no, just stay away, just
stay that is they were like u c l A
was like a two touchdown favorite.

Speaker 6 (24:18):
So they play the week after Oregon. I'm guessing, is
that about right, Penn State? Yeah, that's correct. What would okay,
what would a line. Let's assume Penn State twenty eight,
whatever happens in the Penn State Oregon.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
Twenty eight, Penn State will be four touchdown favorite in
the Rose Bawl. I'll lay yeah, No, this is the
They're hopeless. I mean, they lost it in Mexico twenty
but the low BOMs. This is not basketball. U c
l A would be lucky to get the two wins
this season.

Speaker 3 (24:44):
Yeah, I mean, they're they're pathetic.

Speaker 2 (24:45):
So DeShawn will be he's gone. I mean, they might
as well just drop football. I mean they're not even serious.
I mean, what are they trying? Who were they kids?

Speaker 4 (24:52):
They're not like a chip Chip Kelly leaving and and
this kind of statement it made when he left said
everything about that program.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
Exactly, you know, and he looked like he didn't do anything.
That's it.

Speaker 4 (25:04):
He was like six seven games and times, but he
felt a lack of supporter with with football and he
Larry Terry.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
Donne, you got to go back a long way. Who
succeeded for Meal. He did very well. They had some
decent teams after that, but yeah, but no sustained.

Speaker 5 (25:23):
I mean, you can't forget the Josh rows.

Speaker 2 (25:24):
In years in USC regular US that was like always
the game.

Speaker 6 (25:30):
And Peter Carol came in and said, no, I don't
think so, we're gonna bring Snoop Dogg in here.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
Take a hike. Uh yeah, you're in Westwood, We're in
We're actually in the city. We're like we're in l
That thirty thirty was on this morning and I watched
it for like the ten It is so good talking
about just what you said, Dick. The players like look,
this is where we are. You're out there. You're like,
you're in Westwood, You're in you're in the burbs. Get out,
get out of here. I mean, they're like if you

(25:57):
did no l A at all. They're like two miles
south of the Crypto dot Com Arena. And USC's campus
is beautiful. It's one of the nicest campus in the country.
But it's it's not the greatest area in Los Angeles.
But and but the people that live around there, they
love it.

Speaker 3 (26:12):
And Westwood is in a nice neighborhood, correct.

Speaker 2 (26:15):
And for the people that don't know, the Coliseum is
essentially right on the USC campus right It's right right
at the edge of it. So that's why they're really
They've always been kind of Los Angeles' football team, more
so than UCLA ever has been right on to the
game of the day, the game of the year, the
game of the century.

Speaker 3 (26:32):
We're all getting out of here right after.

Speaker 2 (26:35):
The show and heading for the link.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
I don't know if we'll be able to get I
think you were going to talk about different game now.
I don't know if we'll be able to get in
or not. But this line has gone.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
It went from twenty five Oklahoma minus twenty five to
twenty one.

Speaker 3 (26:47):
Now back that I got it at twenty two and
a half. Coyle's that look right at it's.

Speaker 7 (26:51):
Currently at twenty four twenty four, back to twenty fourth twenty.

Speaker 2 (26:55):
The money has come in on the Sooners at Temple
ESPN two at noon if you can't get in, which
I suspect people are lined up right now. Casey Keeler undefeated,
two and zero, Oklahoma big.

Speaker 3 (27:09):
Win against Michigan last Saturday night.

Speaker 2 (27:12):
John Mattier, the quarterback from Washington State, Do I have
that right? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (27:16):
For Washington State, look very good.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
For Oklahoma, their problem is they couldn't score the last
couple of years. Johnny will start with you. The Awls
getting twenty five.

Speaker 4 (27:27):
Four twenty four, don't disrespect yeah, And I'll start out.
I'll give Temple some credit here. They are probably not
what they usually have been, like one of the bottom
five teams in college football. I do not think they're
that this year. They've actually been playing well. Their quarterback,
Evan Simon leads all of college football and EPA per dropback,
so he's been playing very well.

Speaker 5 (27:49):
But Dick Girardi and Mike Kurn, you.

Speaker 4 (27:51):
Know, perspective is everything, and UMass and Howard are not
very good. So like, yes, Temple's not the bottom five,
but they're still in the bottom tier of college football.
And it's a little bit different going up against a
UMass defense than a Brett Venable led defense who is
going to absolutely test Evan Simon's efficiency. So I think

(28:14):
Oklahoma is defensively going to give Temple a lot of problems.
But then John Mattier is just in a different class
of college football right now than anybody else that's going
to step on that field. For Temple, Mattier might be
one of the better, one of the top five quarterbacks
in college football right now. So Oklahoma to me, I
get the spot maybe is a little bit tough. I
get there on the road, I get Temple's a little
bit better. So the line is reflective of that. I

(28:37):
just think still this should be a thirty something point spread.
It's too low for me.

Speaker 2 (28:40):
I'm going Oklahoma our two Temple A lumser nets Mike, Well.

Speaker 6 (28:45):
Look, I've covered Casey since the early nineties when he
took the rowing job right after John Bunny had kind
of stopped. Casey is a winner. I love them against umss,
I told you guys that too. I love them against
Howard even though the line, apparently according to Kyle was
up to like thirty.

Speaker 5 (29:00):
It's Howard. Yeah for crying. I took Howard last week.

Speaker 6 (29:03):
It's a different animal. Good call, and I agree with
everything John said. This is not the Temple that we knew,
but it's not the Temple of matt Rule either. I mean,
let's not get kept. I feel the same way about
this as I did the Northwestern game. You cannot bet Temple.
Even if you think Temple can somehow only lose by seventeen,
you can't bet them because if Oklahoma cares, now you

(29:24):
could be a late cover, maybe maybe Tome. But I
think Temple's gonna have trouble scoring points in this game.
I could see about what do we say, forty five
ten forty five?

Speaker 5 (29:33):
Yes, so that's something that's the score.

Speaker 6 (29:34):
No, again, Oklahoma won't care, but they might not matter.
But again I applod everything in case he's doing. He's
got some people, you know, a little Hey, maybe we
can win some games for a change. They're two and
oh for the first time I think since nineteen something
like that.

Speaker 2 (29:51):
But it's open.

Speaker 5 (29:52):
It how many times they win more than two games.

Speaker 2 (29:54):
So yeah, well three games first them in Stanford.

Speaker 3 (29:58):
Thanks God.

Speaker 7 (30:00):
Yeah, I'm on the train that Mike and Jansen are on.
Temple's not bottom bottom bottom tier, They're only bottom bottom tier.
So I'm not buying into the hype of their blowouts
against UMass and Howard. Oklahoma is a powerhouse. I'm not
buying into this lowered line at twenty four. I like

(30:20):
Oklahoma here.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
Temple's the team that was running against five thousand dollars
claimers at Penn National that now they're in the Kentucky Derby,
little different world.

Speaker 3 (30:31):
Yeah, no, it's just a big state tree.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
Yeah, I'm not liking them in this spot. So I
was telling Micah Kyle about this before the show. John,
you'll appreciate this. There's a really interesting story in the
Athletic this week, like what in the hell is Oklahoma
doing it? How did this great question happen? So the
history is that Pat Craft, who was the idea Temple.
You know, when Matt Rule was there and they were

(30:54):
a factor. They'd become a real factor or undefeated playing
Notre Dame on on Halloween at the link on that
on ABC. They were trying to get a new stadium
in North Philly, and there was some momentum where that
could actually happen because the program was winning ten games.
They won the American the next year after that Mike,

(31:14):
the year after the Notre Dame, year after the.

Speaker 3 (31:16):
Noted in game, they won. That's when Matt left.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
They won the league, and then Matt lefton it's been
all downhill from there. And what pack Craft and is
people were trying to do was we want to get
a marquee opponent in here to open our new stadium
and maybe in twenty twenty five. So they called around
to all the schools Florida, Alabama and now we don't
want to deal with you. Plus at that point they're going,
wait a second, you're winning ten games. We're not coming

(31:39):
to your place. You know, you might actually give us
a game. We don't need that aggravation. So they called Oklahoma,
and their ag is one of the sharpest guys out there, said, look,
here's what we'll do for you. Normally, when you're bringing in,
you know, one of the other guys to your place,
you got to pay him like a million and a
half two million for a single game.

Speaker 3 (31:59):
They said, it's up.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
But we'll pay you a million to come to our
place twice, and we'll come to your place once to
open your new stadium. They agree.

Speaker 5 (32:08):
Of course.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
The only problem is, Mike pointed out, was there's no
new stadium and Pat Craft is now at Penn State, which,
by the way, we'll be here the second Saturday of
September next year when they will sell out the link
they I'm told that the upper deck is closed today.
They will not come.

Speaker 3 (32:24):
Close to sell Oklahoma. I will say this, but that's
how the game came.

Speaker 4 (32:29):
Usually teams back out of that though there have been
like two home games in away game, but they the
better team like Oklahoma would usually back out that.

Speaker 2 (32:38):
I think they like the fact that they only had
to pay Temple a million. Boxter come twice.

Speaker 3 (32:42):
That's cheap.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
That was that's cheap these days is probably getting more
than that. Just way. But I will say this, and
what Dick said is true. But the two years after
Matt left, Jeff.

Speaker 6 (32:53):
Wont and then Manny Diaz was going to be the
coach and then he I'm sure many would have probably
you know, then Mike would yeah a call and they
hired the guy from and then it's been Beno.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
Whatever Mike's porting is good. They still hung in there
as a pretty good program. But anyway, that's how the
game took place Sunday.

Speaker 6 (33:15):
So this was ten years ago when this basically came
in to be two thy fifteen fifteen.

Speaker 3 (33:20):
Yeah, round out it at that time, right, So Sunday
four PM.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
Birds are one and a half point road favorite at
Kansas City on Sunday in a big game rematch.

Speaker 3 (33:29):
Over under totals forty seven points.

Speaker 2 (35:41):
Yeah that's right. Hey, uh that's next week, all right?
The last of the noon games on ABC at home
Alabama minus twenty one and a half at Wiscon or
excuse me, against Wisconsin. The game is in the Tuscaloos.
Is that number still good to twenty one and a half?

(36:02):
It's twenty and a half. Wisconsin quarterbacks may not. Yeah,
they're gonna the guy was at Marylo. They're gonna send
him out for warm ups and see what's probably not Alabama?
You know, maybe maybe that opening loss wasn't as bad
as it seemed. Right, Maybe Farida State's a little better.

Speaker 3 (36:19):
I mean they beat you probably are somebody by a heart,
but it still was a bad loss. Didn't look good.
And then Alabama beat whoever the directional school last week.

Speaker 2 (36:27):
But Luis Michael's start with you.

Speaker 3 (36:30):
Alabama giving twenty and a half.

Speaker 2 (36:32):
Again, I have no opinion.

Speaker 6 (36:34):
I think if the Wisconsin quarterback were completely healthy, I
think I would take Wisconsin and the points.

Speaker 2 (36:40):
I got to see what Alabama.

Speaker 6 (36:41):
I still think Alabama can be a good football team,
all right, But that guy's under a lot of pressure. Yes,
and they've got I'm going to assume they've got three
or four or five games coming.

Speaker 2 (36:50):
Up this year that are going to be like Georgia and.

Speaker 5 (36:52):
Georgia game and that team two weeks and all the
games they.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
Lost last year were road games. Correct, they didn't lose
any home games last year?

Speaker 5 (36:58):
Did that?

Speaker 2 (36:59):
But they rolled a team. No, I'm not arguing that
he lost at Vanderbilt at Oklahoma? Who was the other
team they lost it? Miss? And was it a home
or road game?

Speaker 6 (37:08):
I don't think it was home did because they would
have run him out of town if he lost a
home to somebody bad.

Speaker 3 (37:12):
But yeah, and I don't even think that. I think
Vanderbilt is a decent team.

Speaker 2 (37:16):
They probably not at South Carolina.

Speaker 6 (37:17):
I don't crap on him for the Vanderbilt the Oklahoma
game twenty four to three. When you're going to be
in the playoffs, Yep, No, they can't happen Look, I
don't know if this guy can coach or not. He
obviously did a good job at Washington. You don't want
to be the guy who replacing Nick Saban. I would
stay away from this game. But I just think three
touchdowns is a lot. But if Wisconsin don't have a quarterback.

Speaker 2 (37:38):
Oh, that can be a problem.

Speaker 7 (37:42):
Okay, Yeah, I'm gonna go with Alabama here Wisconsin, whether
they have a quarterback or not. I think their offenses,
you know, very mediocre. I'm gonna go with Alabama here
at home.

Speaker 4 (37:56):
Johnny, Yeah, I guess I would go with the Crimson
Tide even I'm not as bullish on them maybe as
I was coming into the season because it was Clemson
in Alabama for me, and Clemson in Alabama have not
looked great. I mean Florida State, I think you're right,
Dick Groarty was like a test and maybe a better
team than we thought. They brought in Thomas Castellanos and
he was a really good quarterback in Boston College looked

(38:18):
excellent for Florida State to open. But still that's eye
opening to me that an Alabama defense that is that
good in Alabama offense too that I thought not only
have the wide receivers. This looked like one of the
better running back groups that they've had, and I thought
they'd be able to run on anybody, and they just didn't.
So something just seems a little bit off. It isn't
Nick Sabans Alabama anymore, and even with a plethora of

(38:40):
talent to go to offensively, it's just maybe not going
to ever be what it was. So I struggle to
lay twenty and a half points even against a Wisconsin
team that is not going to score any So if
I were to lean aside and pick a side, it
is going to be the Crimson Tide. I just have
a tough time believing that they can cover these spreads.

Speaker 2 (38:57):
Now, yeah, I like Alabama looking up their twenty twenty
four schedules. So they played at Wisconsin last year they
won forty two to ten. For people interested in such things,
all three of the regular season losses on the road.
The other one was to Tennessee they lost twenty four seven,
and that's not.

Speaker 4 (39:13):
Right.

Speaker 2 (39:14):
Then they lost to Michigan, a bad Michigan team in
a bowl game nineteen to thirteen. But as Mike pointed out,
the twenty four to three game against UH Oklahoma was embarrassing.
But look, they put up twenty eight at home against Auburn.
They beat LSU on the road forty two to thirteen,
thirty four nothing at home against Missouri. They beat South
Carolina by two at home. They beat Georgia by seven
at ZHO. They're a different team. You can't score I

(39:36):
will take and you guys are probably right. You cannot
score three points.

Speaker 6 (39:40):
At Oklahoma now that way, I don't care if they
had lost twenty seven to twenty four. Yeah, I say, okay,
Oklahoma added you know whatever, it not And that's what
kept them because they were still thinking about putting them
in the playoffs for best m you hadn't had.

Speaker 2 (39:53):
That was again real good.

Speaker 5 (39:53):
Yeah, that was that was disgusting.

Speaker 4 (39:55):
That was the one that was one of the most
pathetically worst performances I've seen. Also really talented. I mean,
they had a talented quarterback and the talented team and
they couldn't beat Oklahoma, who was awful last year. Three points, yeah,
three points and three points and that's about as bad
as it gets.

Speaker 2 (40:09):
Four noon games Fox Oregon Northwestern ESPN Clumps of Georgia
Tech ESPN two. The game of the decade year century
whatever Oklahoma Temple and then ABC Alabama Wisconsin three point
thirty FS one the other game of the decade on
our air, John Johnson's pregame showing what time that is

(40:30):
going to start at three three o'clock. John Jannsen pregame
the Villanova Wildcats visit Beaver Stadium. I got forty eight.
Do you see a.

Speaker 7 (40:41):
Forty eight up there at better there was a four
in there? Let me see if it's that's about forty
seven high four.

Speaker 2 (40:48):
Yeah, I saw forty eight last night.

Speaker 1 (40:51):
You know what.

Speaker 6 (40:52):
Villanova cares about. And I covered Villanova for a long time.
Don't get hurt because they would play these games, yep.
And they'd come out because there were some teams they
didn't want to play because they tried to hurt.

Speaker 5 (41:03):
You like that.

Speaker 3 (41:05):
There's games they didn't like playing. And again you just
you go in, you get your money.

Speaker 2 (41:10):
Yep.

Speaker 6 (41:11):
Maybe you put up a you know, hang in for
a program exactly because because I don't think I could
be I don't know de Penn State coach.

Speaker 2 (41:19):
I don't think the Penn State coach is gonna want
to put like a sixty old villain. He's interested in
the game in two. Its yeah, and he might not
be able to help it. I mean, you know, I
mean Penn State's really good when so, I don't know,
it's forty eight, the number forty. I would almost take
the forty seven, and I know that's stupid. Well, they've
been favored by forty three at the first two games,

(41:39):
did not cover an either, did not look all that
great for most of the game last week. Forty three
is a lot. It wasn't a lot for Oregon. So
here's my thoughts of the game. Look, the villain, I'm
a coach. Mark frantis terrific guy. He's done a great
job with the programs, exceeding Andy Tally. And he was

(42:01):
part of a lot of wood Indy absolutely, yeah, he
was part of the national championship squad, all those great
playoff teams. They're going up there. As Mike said, hopefully
the players don't get hurt, have a great time have it. Yeah,
it's like it's like a scene, man, I mean, it's
like playing in front of one hundred thousand people and
might that might be their attendance for the rest of
the year. Our buddy, our buddy, David Shirpanski's gonna call
the game. Yeah, I don't love a student radio. Ryan

(42:23):
fannit's gonna call it on our air. Uh my, man,
Steve Jones will be calling it on Penn State Radio.
And I'll be fine. Everybody have a good time and
you know, enjoyed Beaver Stadium and just don't yeah, don't
get people hurt. I hope they hang in, make it competitive.
But here here's my concern. Frankly, so, Penn State in
two weeks, white out NBC Saturday Night on the twenty seventh,

(42:49):
Oregon after Oregon, Pommell's Northwestern and Pommell's Oregon State. I mean,
you talk about pressure on the home team that is
the game and having played no games fanning, played against nobody,
and all of a sudden, now you're playing the team
you played for the Big Ten title. You have almost
your entire team back. They don't, but they're damn good again. Man,

(43:14):
we'll be talking about it in two weeks.

Speaker 3 (43:15):
Give me a lot, give me a line or neck. Yeah,
I think Penn State's probably like.

Speaker 2 (43:19):
A two or three point favorite. That's not a lot
for team late Penn State, that would be my guess.
But if margin keeps rolling, people like this, you ain't
given seven? I think is that up? Any that might
be up some places?

Speaker 6 (43:30):
I I think it may be a little hot, like
three and a half only becaused like you said, white
out Penn State or the pressure.

Speaker 2 (43:40):
On pen game night game? Yeah, John, your your thoughts
and again Penn State. I don't know what to make
of it. Maybe they're showing nothing, Maybe they ain't that good.
Maybe they're not as good as they're they're supposed to be.
You got any thoughts right now? I'm seeing six and
a half points for Penn State to work. Okay the way,
so Penn State is six and a half point favorite,
which I imagine as we get closer to that good

(44:00):
might go down. But I think right now, what happens
the next two weeks exactly, if they put up sixty
each of the next two weeks, that ain't gonna be
so well.

Speaker 4 (44:09):
The Oregon hype is going to continue to grow if
they if they keep winning like they are. Ye, look,
this is it's great for Villanova to be on a
stage like this, to be in a stadium like that.

Speaker 2 (44:18):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (44:18):
I'm really interested to see how Villanova plays this year
because they they have been primarily a running team for
almost the entire time under Mark Ferrante. And they have
a great running back in David Abbott, but they have
a transfer in in McQuaid and in his first game
put up two hundred ninety nine passing yards. I can't
remember how many times Watkins was able to put up

(44:39):
tw hundred ninety nine pasing yards.

Speaker 5 (44:41):
I don't think it was very many. He was more
of a running quarterback.

Speaker 4 (44:44):
So maybe Villanova's passing offense is a little bit more
dynamic than it has been. It's just on a stage
like this against a team like this, I just you're
not going to see much. I think, like like Mike
Kerrent has some fun with this game. Compete as best
as you can and get out of there as healthy as.

Speaker 6 (45:00):
N State starters. I'm going to guess are only going
to play into the third quarter pretty much. I mean,
I can't believe you're assuming shot up by four touchs.
But the second teamers are probably good and they're going
to get on the field Mornay with.

Speaker 2 (45:12):
The second teamers would be filling Oh right, right, That's
what I'm saying. So, I mean, might not necessarily be
You're getting paid a lot of getting paid Kyle, you
got a thought on this.

Speaker 7 (45:22):
I mean, I'll take the points just because of Penn
State's slow starts the last two weeks, which, again, as
you know, I'm just reiterating what everybody else said. They
might not be showing much. Get the starters out in
the thirty. Yeah, give me, give me like thirty five
to forty point win a couple more.

Speaker 2 (45:40):
Games men or two in each. Now we got to
get to the break three thirty big game in Knoxville today. ABC.

Speaker 1 (45:46):
Ye.

Speaker 2 (45:48):
This started at Georgia minus seven at Tennessee. Now I'm
seeing minus.

Speaker 5 (45:52):
Four minus four is correct, So this.

Speaker 2 (45:54):
Has come down. All the money's coming on Tennessee, which
is look phenomenal. The first couple of weeks Gunner stocked
and does not looked great for Georgia.

Speaker 3 (46:02):
Michael's start with you.

Speaker 6 (46:04):
Georgia has dominated. I think Georgia's won eighth straight, eight
in a row. Almost like I don't know what last
year's game was because I didn't go back and look,
I probably should have. I'm assuming they play every year.
Maybe they didn't. Uh, I'm leaning towards Tennessee and I
don't know why. Like part of what you said, Dick
did they Georgia hasn't looked great, and Tassie I like

(46:25):
the Tennessee coach, I wrote, but Kirby's got two rings,
so I get all that.

Speaker 2 (46:29):
I think this line is trying to tell you something.
Marny's all coming in on the somebody thinks the falls
and again, you know that's what that's worth. What it's worth.

Speaker 5 (46:39):
So Georgia won twice last year against Tennessee.

Speaker 3 (46:42):
They beat him in the SEC title game?

Speaker 5 (46:44):
Was it ot and then November sixteen, thirty one seventeen.

Speaker 2 (46:49):
Okay, I'm taking I'm going to go Tennessee. I'm taking
Georgia again. Movement of the money go the other one,
you go the other way?

Speaker 7 (46:57):
Uh yeah, I'm gonna go with the other way. Like
Dick Der already said, keep it consistent. The money's coming
in one way, I'm gonna go the other way. I'm
gonna go Georgia.

Speaker 2 (47:05):
Yeah, you get the best of the line. Yeah it
would a seven earlier, Johnny.

Speaker 4 (47:10):
Yeah, this is a tough one for me, just because
Tennessee has looked great. I don't know what to think
of Gunner Stockton yet. All signs point to being good,
but there's still not many things proven a small sample
size last year in the playoffs, but he played somewhat well.
Just still a lot of unknowns about Gunner Stockton and
especially in games like this, But I think with Joey

(47:32):
Aguilar there is a lot of me and he's the
Tennessee quarterback transferred from Appstate to UCLA to Ucla to
Tennessee when Nico left, and he's been putting up numbers.

Speaker 5 (47:42):
The only problem is he turns over.

Speaker 4 (47:44):
He turns over the ball a lot, and I think
there have been some passes I've seen that maybe he's
gotten away with that he won't.

Speaker 5 (47:51):
Get away with against Georgia.

Speaker 4 (47:53):
So if Georgia's defense takes over, they turn the ball
over and Aguilar is a little bit discombobulated. This is
where George, I think, thrives. So I just think the
matchup kind of actually works in Georgia's favor. So I'm
going to go Georgia, but I'm going to be very
hesitant in doing so because I just I'm not sure
the offense is going to look like for the Bulldogs

(48:13):
fair enough.

Speaker 2 (48:15):
So this is the biggest game in the history of
the CW Network. Four point today, Miami, give me seventeen
and a half to South Florida, which adn't beating the
ranked team like ever, and beats Boise State. Pummel's Boise
State then goes to Florida and wins. Uh And this
is a I believe the coach was that with Josh

(48:38):
Hipel at Tennessee. Does that sounds right? Do I have
that right?

Speaker 3 (48:41):
The coach at South Florida's name is escaping me.

Speaker 5 (48:43):
At the alex Ghulish gullish.

Speaker 3 (48:46):
Yeah, I believes Josh Hippel Polish.

Speaker 2 (48:49):
Yeah. Anyway, Miami, give me seventeen and a half. Miami
obviously beating Notre Dame in the opening week, They're very good.
It seems like a big number, but it it hadn't
moved much all week. It's still seventeen and a half.
It is seventeen seventeen. I'm taking South Florida. I've watched
them in both games. I thought they've looked great. I'll

(49:10):
take them to cover the same game last week And
you said two words South Florida. Yeah, it's the same game. Now,
I might be jumping on the bandwagon. Great.

Speaker 3 (49:17):
I like Miami. Seventeen is a lot of points, big number.

Speaker 2 (49:22):
So I don't know. I'll go with you.

Speaker 3 (49:24):
I'll go with the Senith theory.

Speaker 2 (49:25):
On the seventeen is there's no way South Florida can
keep this up. Eventually they gain the right when you're
still going to call it, yeah, I mean their quarterback
is decent, they have a good defense. Obviously, the coach
knows what he's doing. So and I got nothing against Miami,
but seventeen is a big number. CW Network, It'll be
flooding and Johnny. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (49:46):
South Florida's had a great run, two good wins and
one of those being against Florida, and they never beat Florida.
I don't think they ever have beat Florida. So a
couple of great wins, but those are two really tough games.
Now you have a third tough game and the much
better team than Florida or Boise State and South Florida.
South Florida's offense has been doing well, but if you

(50:09):
look at metrics, like their success rate isn't good Byron Brown,
isn't that efficient passing. At some point, it just feels
like the explosive place that they're getting is going to
run out and they're gonna have a tough time doing
that and getting explosive plays against the Miami defense that
just looks great, and Miami offense that looks rejuvenated with
Carson Beck there. Now, I know Kim Ward did a

(50:31):
great job, but it just looks a little bit more
I guess efficient. Everything around Carson Beck just looks great.
And kem Ward really had I think work at times
to get them to move the ball. Everything looks a
lot easier for Carson Beck. So Miami looks like one
of the better teams in college football, and I just
think they're gonna roll South Florida. It's just two really tough,
physical games for them, and this is a third one,

(50:52):
and I just I don't know how they're able to
keep that up.

Speaker 2 (50:55):
Kyle if the South Florida coach Alex Golasi was the
OC at University of Tennessee.

Speaker 5 (51:02):
Yeah, Josh, I'll split the panel here. I'll go with
John as well.

Speaker 7 (51:06):
I think the reason it's seventeen is because it's, you know,
the third game of a tough three late stretch.

Speaker 5 (51:11):
So for that reason, I'll go with the Miami Here.

Speaker 2 (51:15):
There we go. LSU at home. I got six and
a half, so that's stile the number against Florida. Where
we go.

Speaker 3 (51:24):
It's an ABC game seven thirty tonight.

Speaker 5 (51:26):
It is seven yep ooh seven. I'll take yeah seven.

Speaker 2 (51:29):
Good, Okay, now it's minus seven. Not to spoil, Yeah
seven minus seven Florida. I'll start Florida. They were horrible
at the beginning of last year. The coach saved his
job because they finished well. They lagway. The young quarterback
really played well at the end of last year. I
maybe South Florida is just that good that's why they lost.

(51:51):
But man, there's a lot of heat on them. I'm
taking I'm taking Florida plus the seven, coming off of
just a dreadful.

Speaker 3 (51:58):
Ail at home.

Speaker 6 (52:00):
Mike, I hate this game because I think LSU is
going to win. I don't know if they're going to
cover a touchdown. Florida has the toughest schedule in the country.
They just do it's and I think the coach is
going to be in trouble because he ain't gonna win
all those games, but win some of them. My friend,
who's a big Florida guy, said they're The game they

(52:23):
lost is they were undisciplined.

Speaker 2 (52:25):
The clock management was stupid. They the whole thing that
bothers me and go watch if you watch the Eagles player,
what are you doing? And LSU is good and it's
is this a Nike game or is this a seven
thirty ABC GA. We all know what night games are.
A red stick. I'll put it this way. If Kelly

(52:45):
loses this game, they ain't gonna be happy with him
down there now, I'm.

Speaker 6 (52:49):
Staying away from the game. I I just don't like
the game. Seven points is tempting.

Speaker 4 (52:55):
I have this.

Speaker 2 (52:56):
Yeah, I took Florida, but I have this in the
back of my mind. I have this Billy Napier confused
feel when they're doing forty one.

Speaker 6 (53:03):
Yeah, but you know you know what that means, Joe,
they probably lose a close game, right, and he makes
it he does something stupid in the final minute.

Speaker 7 (53:10):
Kyle, Yeah, I'll take Florida in the points here, just
because neither team's really been impressive so far. I mean,
LS you only putting up twenty three last week against Yeah,
Louisiana Tech. No team's really showing firepower. So for that reason,
I'm not a big fan of the game. But I'll
take the points.

Speaker 4 (53:26):
John, Yeah, very smart, Kyle, I will take the points
as well. Give me the Gators getting seven. DJ Lagway
has been okay, not really a great game against USF,
but he's so dangerous. But I think Mike Kurrn was
alluding to this. Once you feel like you got Billy
Napier Pegs, He's like, yeah, he's a terrible coach. They're
never gonna win games. All of a sudden, it's like, Wow,

(53:47):
he just won a really good game. It's not win
some of them exactly. He can't lose all exactly. It's
not sustainable. He's going to lose his job because you
can't lose the USF and he loses too many games
he shouldn't.

Speaker 5 (54:00):
But he does win big games.

Speaker 4 (54:01):
At times, and they did last year at the end
of last year, and I think they do it again.
Not do it again here, but they're gonna make this competitive,
make it close. I don't like how LSU's offensive look.
So I get Garrett Nusmeyer is a talented quarterback, and
I like that everybody likes him because he's this NFL
prospect and you should be really good in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (54:20):
All that.

Speaker 4 (54:20):
I get it, I get it, I get it. LSU
is not the kind of offense they were when Joe
Burrow was there. This is an offense that has been
way far down what they were. Even with nuts Meyer,
who seems like a good quarterback, he does have flaws.
He does make really big mistakes, and also they just
don't have the talent wide receiver maybe like they used to.
This is when they were at their best. They can

(54:42):
average forty or more points with Jane Daniels and Joe Burrow.

Speaker 2 (54:45):
They did it.

Speaker 4 (54:45):
Garrett Nusmeyer's good, He's not those guys. And they are
averaging close to like thirty points per game with Garrett Nusmeyer.
That is well below what they're used to. So this
isn't a juggernaut offense. This game is gonna be close.
I think LSU does win it, but if it's a
full touchdown, give me the full touchdown here with Kelly Oh.

Speaker 2 (55:03):
I love it.

Speaker 5 (55:04):
It just warms my heart.

Speaker 2 (55:06):
War on NBC seven thirty Notre Dame minus six and
a half, Texas A and m I will take Texas
ANAM plus the points. I didn't like the I wasn't
thrown with wild Notre Dame played against Miami. I didn't like.

Speaker 3 (55:20):
I didn't like much of anything that I saw that
Texas anam is pretty good. Mike, I feel the same
way about this game. Is the game we just talked about.

Speaker 6 (55:27):
I think Notre Dame will probably find a way to win,
because it's hard to see them having two losses this
early in the season. But yeah, the thinks that it's
a revenge game for A and M. Yeah, hey, seven's
a lot of points or six and a half or
whatever it is. I think it could be a good
Would it shock me if A and M went there
and won. No, But I'm staying away from If I

(55:47):
took a side, I'm going with Dick. I'm taking the
A and M into points.

Speaker 4 (55:50):
John, I'm probably going to go with Mike. Elko's Aggie's.
At least with Red they can run the ball on
offense at quarterback. He's a good runner and they may
be able to manufacture some points that way. It's going
to be a defensive battle. I don't think there's going
to be very many points score. The one thing I
did like with Notre Dame though against Miami is CJ.

(56:10):
Carr actually put up some points, and even with Riley Leonard,
they didn't really pass the ball that well, so maybe
their passing offense gets a little bit better with CJ. Carr,
But six and a half points seems like a lot
when I think both defenses are gonna shine.

Speaker 3 (56:23):
This is going to be a give the Irish trouble cock.

Speaker 5 (56:26):
Yeah right.

Speaker 4 (56:27):
I think this game just stays in the teams, though offensively,
with both offensive quick note the over runners fifteen and
a half John.

Speaker 2 (56:35):
That under under.

Speaker 5 (56:36):
I'll go with the Aggies here as well. I think
six and a half is a lot.

Speaker 2 (56:40):

Next weekend on Long Island at Bethpage the Ryder Cup.

Speaker 2 (59:39):
It's two weekends, two weekends, excuse me, two weekends Ryder Cup,
but this weekend the tune up for the Americans.

Speaker 3 (59:46):
It sounded like the Sonoma Valley Valley, Well.

Speaker 6 (59:50):
What happened two years ago apparently they took off for
like a month, like the guys didn't do anything. Yep,
and you know they got beat in Europe, which they
always do. And so Keegan Bradley decided, no, no, no,
I won't like to so he's going to play in
this tournament. I think eleven or twelve guys are playing
this week, and not surprisingly, several of them are at

(01:00:12):
the top of the leader board. Ben Griffin, who's had
a quietly good year. He's in a Ryder Cup rookie.
He's fourteen under. He's three ahead of Russell Henley who
is a Ryder Cup rookie. And then here's an interesting
one also, what eleven under is the top amateur in
the world or wow? Call Jackson Colvin who just helped
the US win.

Speaker 2 (01:00:33):
Can he turn pro midway through the tournament so he
can make money? So I don't think you're going to
do that. That's happened before. I mean, like, we're guys,
but he last week the US won the.

Speaker 6 (01:00:45):
Equivalent of the Walker Cup and he was they played
at the Cypress Point by Oh very nice.

Speaker 3 (01:00:50):
But he's he's eleven under.

Speaker 2 (01:00:52):
Then you have JJ Spall in your US Open, winner
was a nine on the team and you have Scottie
Scheffler at six. So you're ads are one of those
ryder guys are gonna win? Well, Griffin is plus one twenty.

Speaker 6 (01:01:05):
I don't like betting guys one, but I would tell
you that I think Ben Griffin has a pretty good
chance of winning. Henley's three thirty, which did in bed
for you know the amateur is Oh no, women, I
don't think I saw oz on him on the way.

Speaker 2 (01:01:21):
Wait, there's got to be a Scheffler is I have
only nine nine one? Spawn is twelve.

Speaker 3 (01:01:28):
Let me see if I can get odds on the yard.
I'm taking Spawn at twelve. I can't hold on. I've
always loved Spawn. Yeah, I can't find odds.

Speaker 2 (01:01:35):
I forget it.

Speaker 6 (01:01:36):
The Amateur would obviously be a great story Spawn. If
you're looking for a bet with odds, JJ's probably your best,
the one so stealing. If you want to go there,
we're gonna go there, twelve, go there?

Speaker 2 (01:01:46):
All right? Before we get to the NFL games, I
mentioned this last week, John, Are you were where there's
a gigantic boxing match, one of the biggest ones in
a decade. Yes, I am actually is it the the
Alford Cane. Correct. So this is for the super middleweight title.
It's on Netflix, So anybody's got Netflix, you have to

(01:02:08):
pay to watch it. You just watch it. It's into
Football Stadium in Vegas. Canelo Alvarez minus one fifty nine
at bet Parks. He's sixty three to two and two.
He's thirty five years old, and he is fighting at
about the way he normally fights at against Terrence Bud
Crawford from Omaha. It reminds me of like Floyd Mayweather,

(01:02:31):
Roy Jones, brilliant tactician. He's forty one and oh he's
moving up two weight glasses plus one thirty two. He's
thirty seven years old. He also reminds me of Bernard Hopkins,
just incredibly smart. Alvarez bigger, stronger, He pulverizes people. I'm

(01:02:52):
taking Crawford, the smart guy in a decision the under
plus one thirty two, Mike, you have no clon like
guys moving up and wait two weights by the way,
the amateur plus six fifth plus sixth, which is I
think kind of low for the amateur.

Speaker 3 (01:03:07):
But he's not one.

Speaker 2 (01:03:09):
But you know boxing better.

Speaker 6 (01:03:10):
Than I do, so I mean, I'm but usually when
you can be a tactician, but when the other guy
is bigger than you, hit you in the hits you
in the bath, then your tactician.

Speaker 2 (01:03:19):
Kind of goes the old Mike Tyson. Right, everybody's got
a player hitting them out. John, you got a thought
on this.

Speaker 4 (01:03:26):
No, I'm surprised he's in a football stadium. That's the
only thought I had. That's a huge deal, man, I
mean it, this is like boxing was capable of that anymore.
But unless he didn't involve a Paul Brother, Yeah, very.

Speaker 2 (01:03:37):
Few people even have heard of him. He's a three
division champion. If he wins, he's gonna go down. He's
gonna be up there with Floyd Mayweather as one of
the box him. That's what he Yeah, and he's a
southball and he's smart, but again he gets it in
the head. He's good.

Speaker 3 (01:03:53):
Change Cole.

Speaker 7 (01:03:54):
You gotta think, well, this match is actually tomorrow because
it's at twelve thirty.

Speaker 2 (01:04:00):
Right, so I uplated probably won't be up for this.

Speaker 7 (01:04:03):
Chances are, but I'm gonna stay consistent and take who
I took last week. Who I don't remember who it is,
but whoever I took last week is who I'm taking.

Speaker 2 (01:04:11):
This switch. That's fine. I think it was Alvarez to
the NFL one PM games will start in Cincinnati, which
got out gained by like two hundred yards in Cleveland
last week, but still found a way to win the
game minus three and a half against John's favorite squad,
the Jacksonville Jaguars, which actually looked pretty good under Liam

(01:04:33):
Collen the new head coach Paul Rise in Carolina and
the opener John will start with you.

Speaker 4 (01:04:39):
Yeah, I think Cincinnati's kind of got some problems on
the offensive line again and Miles Garrett kind of wrecked them.
And the good thing about Jacksonville is they actually have
good defensive ends. Josh Allen Hines and Trayvon Walker have
been really good. If I were to say, like the
best unit for Jacksonville, it's probably been their defensive ends.
So I think that's gonna spell some trouble here for Cincinnati.
And Liam Cohen did a good job run the ball.

(01:05:00):
They have not ran the ball well. This has been
one of the worst rushing teams in the NFL. They
have the most rushes by far in the NFL the
past two seasons that have gone for a yard or less.
That is horrid. So the fact that they were able
to move the ball running. Trevor Lawrence had an okay
game and they still really had an easy time moving
the ball. So with Cincinnati's defense is not good, Cleveland

(01:05:23):
had all the chances in the world to score points
and didn't. I think Jacksonville win not only covers, but
wins this one.

Speaker 2 (01:05:29):
I know everybody's shocked that john took jackson go ahead.

Speaker 7 (01:05:33):
I'm actually gonna go on Jacksonville as well. Cincinnati. It's
the same old song and dance. It's their offensive line stinks,
their defense stinks. It's just Joe Burrow needs to play
hero ball with Jamar Chase and the other receivers. And
unless he plays hero ball, the team does not look
good at all. And Jacksonville looked pretty good in Cohen's
debut last week. They traded Tank Bigsby to the Eagles

(01:05:58):
earlier last week, but trav A etn was the story
of that game regardless. I think they're gonna ground and
pound and Trevor Lawrence is gonna make throws when he
needs to against that hard defense. I don't know if
I like them to win the game, but three and
a half, I'll take the hook and go with Jacksonville.

Speaker 2 (01:06:13):
Yes, my theory on this game is real simple. If
last week hadn't happened, Cincinnati would be a seven point favorite. Yeah,
so I'm assuming I'm saying last week didn't happen. I'll
give the points. I'll take the Hunt team. Mike, I
was leaning the same way Dick was.

Speaker 6 (01:06:26):
One of the problems is Cincinnati has won two games
in September in the last four years, but again.

Speaker 2 (01:06:31):
And should have lost last week. Well, the guy mister
Fiel goal, right, and you're totally outplayed the Browns.

Speaker 5 (01:06:36):
Brown play.

Speaker 3 (01:06:37):
Cincinnati has to win this game.

Speaker 6 (01:06:40):
They had to get off to a two and oh
start because of who they're playing, because the schedule will
get tougher at some point.

Speaker 2 (01:06:45):
I don't like the game.

Speaker 6 (01:06:47):
I can understand why you would take the three and
a half because I think, to John's point, Jacksonville could
maybe win this game.

Speaker 3 (01:06:53):
I mean it's not like but again, I'll give Joe Burrow.

Speaker 2 (01:06:56):
I'll stay away. But if I was leaning, I would
go with Dick. Yeah, lay to three and a half.
Cincinnati has two of the ten best players. People overreact
to Week one. I mean, it's just it's nuts. Cincinnati
has two of the ten best players in the NFL.
Jacksonville doesn't have any of the top one hundred. In
my another quarterback, he's not in the top hundred. He's
not even close. I mean, not off what he's done.

(01:07:16):
Maybe what he will receiver, but not up till now.
I mean Jacksonville stinks.

Speaker 7 (01:07:20):
Oh yeah, I mean they have potential, but they've stunt
they haven't executed.

Speaker 2 (01:07:24):
Yeah, I'm not buying it.

Speaker 7 (01:07:25):
And also, it's not a week one overreaction for twenty
twenty five for Cincinnati. It's a week it's a week
one reacting for Cincinnati the last couple of years.

Speaker 2 (01:07:33):
You're right, and I get it, I got all that.
But who did Jacksonville beat the Panthers ship? Yeah, okay,
they both young regressed significantly.

Speaker 6 (01:07:39):
He and Cincinnati always play, I mean Cleveland always plays Cincinnati.

Speaker 2 (01:07:44):
But whatever to all right, here's a stat for everybody. Uh,
when we get before we get to our next game.
And by the way, in my survivor pool last year,
everybody got blown out. This year, three people missed. Yeah,
New England. Three people took New England. And for a
reason it's not entirely clear, and they deserve to be gone.

Speaker 3 (01:08:03):
Yeah, that's not a game you're supposed to take. So
check this out.

Speaker 2 (01:08:07):
Entering last Sunday Night, NFL teams that scored forty points
or more and led by fifteen or more after three
quarters were seven hundred and seventy two and zero.

Speaker 5 (01:08:19):
I can't figure out this Baltimore team.

Speaker 3 (01:08:21):
And until the Ravens managed to make it seven to
seventy two and a.

Speaker 5 (01:08:25):
One, figure it out.

Speaker 3 (01:08:26):
What's the second time?

Speaker 2 (01:08:27):
Do you give us one? Last? We had the same thing.

Speaker 3 (01:08:29):
It was like it's madness out there.

Speaker 2 (01:08:33):
Baltimore eleven and a half over Cleveland, thirty year anniversary
of the Ravens moving from Cleveland. The Ravens have actually
been in Baltimore now as long as the Colts were
in Baltimore, both for thirty years. And of course what
did they do. They stole Cleveland's team after Indianapolis stole
their team. John, we'll start with you here. Actually we

(01:08:56):
will not start with you, because we started with you
a second show. We'll let you figure about this, Mike.
The Ravens are clearly better, there's no argument about it.
But they're just bizarre. And the Cleveland guy came out.

Speaker 6 (01:09:07):
Look, they if the guy doesn't fumble, they probably don't
lose that game.

Speaker 2 (01:09:11):
John Harbor, John Harball, the argument was, you should.

Speaker 6 (01:09:14):
Have went for it on the fourth and three, and look,
I don't give you're on your own thirty five.

Speaker 3 (01:09:20):
I mean, I don't know. But again, the Ravens do
this all there was.

Speaker 6 (01:09:25):
They're like one in five in the last couple of
years against the only teams that really matter.

Speaker 2 (01:09:29):
They give away games like I've never seen a team
with the talent that they have. And we're somehow some way.
That goes back to two things. You're coaching your quarterback somehow,
some way, and by the way, and it wasn't the
quarterbacks fault last night.

Speaker 3 (01:09:42):
They still do things like they have a great defense.

Speaker 2 (01:09:44):
They don't. This is not the day now.

Speaker 3 (01:09:47):
When they lost that game to.

Speaker 6 (01:09:48):
The Chiefs two years ago, they did have a great
defense and they just blew up forever. I could not
bet Cleveland in the NFL. You should never lay eleven
and a half. Not But I'm gonna tell you something.
I think the Ravens are gonna kill this team.

Speaker 2 (01:10:00):
Yeah, they're They're going to be the most popular team
in survivor pools this week becas they.

Speaker 3 (01:10:04):
I won't want to be Joe Flack though. Yeah, I'm
just saying yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:10:08):
Not a not a revenge game for Joe Flackham.

Speaker 2 (01:10:12):
Won the Super Bowl. He needs no revenge.

Speaker 5 (01:10:14):
That was a different lifetime.

Speaker 2 (01:10:15):
Kyle, Yes, thank you, no question, it really was John
Kyle the raven giving eleven and a half.

Speaker 7 (01:10:22):
To Mike's point, you never lay eleven and a half
in the NFL unless you think the team's gonna win
by thirty. I think Baltimore wins this game by thirty.
There's just no way that they don't cover the eleven
and a half here. Cleveland's stinks. How can how do
you give up one hundred and fifty total yards and
lose the game? It's just unbelievable. I think Baltimore. Baltimore
is gonna come in.

Speaker 2 (01:10:42):
This game is close in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 6 (01:10:44):
The Ravens should just be I don't know who they
got next week, so maybe this is a middle game
for them or something.

Speaker 2 (01:10:50):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:10:51):
Yeah, this is the Ravens all day, every day.

Speaker 2 (01:10:54):
My theory on sports is rather simple. I always want
to take the team that could score. I don't care
what sport it is. Give me the basketball. Cleveland can't
put up. They can't score in the Ravens are putting
up thirty. Yeah, they're just gonna put up thirty. That's
what they do. I know Cincinnati is not the Ravens.
The Ravens really good players all over the field. And

(01:11:14):
I don't know who his safety was for Cleveland Delpit
or whatever I forgot about. Yeah, man, what are you
not very smart?

Speaker 3 (01:11:23):
What are you saying for the people who didn't Derrek?
Henry is not that hard attack on?

Speaker 2 (01:11:27):
Okay, good luck as good as Saquon is. Sequon was
great this year. Obviously he was historical. Henry's tork. Henry
is right there behind me. They let him, he was done.
I'll tell you one thing about the Ravens. Their personnel
people are way better than the coaching staff.

Speaker 3 (01:11:44):
And that goes back to Dodds. He knew them because
knew them.

Speaker 2 (01:11:47):
Wait, Amena, they got Lamar Jackson at the end of
the first round. Nobody wanted them. That's how stupid these
NFL people.

Speaker 7 (01:11:53):
By the way, Baldon Baltimore's next two games are Detroit
and at Kansas City.

Speaker 2 (01:11:58):
So they have to win a game. Yeah, John, that's
They're gonna be like eighty percent of the survivor polls
this week, including me, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:12:08):
Aheadt rightfully.

Speaker 4 (01:12:10):
We are talking about the Ravens blowing big leads because
they have before. They've also blown a lot of teams
out before. Yes, this is a team that's won by
double digits multiple times with Lamar Jackson at quarterback. And
the one thing I hate about Cleveland's offense right now,
I know they can move the ball a little bit
and Joe Flacco, well, there's many things out the like,

(01:12:30):
but there's there is also like a giant, giant red flag.

Speaker 5 (01:12:33):
Joe Flacco turns the ball over a lot.

Speaker 4 (01:12:36):
Did it with Cleveland the first time around, and it
finally kind of was there Achilles shal going into the
playoffs and it really bit them in the butt in
that postseason game against Houston. I think it's gonna do
it again in a game like this. He already had
two turnovers against Cincinnati. I think he's gonna probably throw
a couple of picks. Now, Ravens defense maybe isn't like
it was in like the two thousands Ravens defense or

(01:12:57):
the Ray Lewis defenses. It's still a good Yeah, it's
still a really good defense though, And I think they're
gonna give Cleveland at Cleveland's offense a lot of problems.

Speaker 5 (01:13:06):
They get turnovers.

Speaker 4 (01:13:07):
So I think Lamar Jackson's been outstanding and he was
outstanding last week, so they should They should win this
game by more than eleven and a half or whatever.

Speaker 2 (01:13:14):
They lost forty one to forty to Buffalo, but if
you watched that game, they were two to three touchdowns
the better team.

Speaker 3 (01:13:20):
But how many times I just think that in the
last three or four years have we said that about Baldy.
I know we said the Kansas City game too. I
mean got they were the better team and.

Speaker 5 (01:13:30):
It took it took a lot of luck too for
that to happen.

Speaker 2 (01:13:33):
Last year. I mean even the game they lost to
Buffalo last year, they probably out played Buffalo. They never
put it's unbelieva lose game. So their last game last
year was a loss of Buffalo by two. Correct.

Speaker 3 (01:13:45):
Their first game this year was a lost of Buffalo
on the on the Dallas.

Speaker 2 (01:13:52):
Those are all the one o'clock games, Uh, minus five
and a half against This is five and a half.
Yeah with the Giants, actually it's six now six.

Speaker 7 (01:14:00):
The Giants awful and I like, I like they looked
off for awful because they are awful.

Speaker 2 (01:14:05):
Yeah, well, the quarterback are streaming for Jackson Dart after
one game. We'll see how long they hang, not long,
go to Jamis Winston if they don't want to play dark.

Speaker 7 (01:14:17):
I just I go.

Speaker 2 (01:14:19):
This is what I say a lot. I can't bet
the Giants in the spot because they're as long as
they're going to start Russell Wilson, which I assume they're
going to, and the Cowboys aren't pay I mean the
Cowboys aren't very well. They could have won that game.
I mean I think the Eagles would have figured out
a way to win it. Dak Prescott is a very
good regular season quarterback. So can the Giants get to Dak?

(01:14:41):
If they can get to Dack, they got maybe get
a shot. If they don't, it ain't happening. And you're
laying under a touchdown.

Speaker 6 (01:14:48):
Sad Lamb's not gonna drop. And if the NFL in
a division game, six is a lot. But I would
have to lean towards the Cowboys.

Speaker 2 (01:14:55):
Here because John can can I talk here? Under the Giants?

Speaker 5 (01:15:00):
Is Russell Wilson starting?

Speaker 2 (01:15:01):
Yes? Yeah? Okay, so yep?

Speaker 4 (01:15:06):
No? Do you know? And one thing I'll give Dallas
not credit, not Dallas, Jerry Jones or anything, but Dak
Prescott looked great. Dak Prescott is a really good NFL
quarterback to me, he he always looks like a top
ten NFL playerback when healthy right playoffs, playoffs aside, for sure.

Speaker 2 (01:15:20):
And that's the regular season.

Speaker 4 (01:15:21):
He's been wonderful, right and he I just think at
home too, They've been a really good home team over
the years with Dak Prescott under center. Just as long
as Dak is healthy, you know, yeah, I don't think
they should have any trouble against the Giants.

Speaker 6 (01:15:33):
By the way, guys, how about the Giants quarterback goes
to Indianapolis first team since night?

Speaker 2 (01:15:39):
Can you relax? No, we're talking about the Giants, talking
about the Giants first team in forty some years.

Speaker 5 (01:15:47):
Not to Danny Sport to score.

Speaker 2 (01:15:49):
In every possession, Daniel Jones always, You always knew he
had it in d Jones.

Speaker 5 (01:15:54):
He's got that dog in him.

Speaker 2 (01:15:55):
Are you alpathetically Miami?

Speaker 5 (01:15:58):
Oh no, talking about the hot seat that you.

Speaker 2 (01:16:01):
Might not last all half and I'd like him Mike McDonell, Yeah, yes.

Speaker 5 (01:16:06):
Yeah, Miami does not like him.

Speaker 7 (01:16:09):
On the Cowboy Yeah, Dallas is always a different team
at home, and the Giants are just another lackluster team
all around.

Speaker 5 (01:16:16):
You gotta rode Dallas here.

Speaker 3 (01:16:18):
This looks like twenty seven three. Yeah, I'll take Dallas again.

Speaker 7 (01:16:21):
It's one of those things where it's six points in
a divisional game. I'm you kind of want to stay
away from it, but this is one of those anomalies.
And the Giants that are just a terrible team. Yeah,
and not what's going to matter too much in this game.
But Michah Parsons was a game changer for them. They
they could look like with Dan Quinn and Michael Parsons
one of the best defense in the NFL.

Speaker 4 (01:16:39):
They looked nothing like that last week. So I think
that's gonna be a bit look. That's more for moving
forward and games outside of Russell Wilson led offenses. But
that is a big like red flag for me with
them is their defense is going to probably take not
just a step back, They're going to be maybe one
of the one of the worst defenses in the NFL
without Michael Parsons.

Speaker 2 (01:16:58):
Somebody made a real.

Speaker 6 (01:16:59):
Good point quick about Micah since she's bought Micah what
he does on Green Bay don't look at his sacks necessarily.
I mean, look at what he does as far as
helping the other guys on the defensive line, like get
to I mean he.

Speaker 3 (01:17:13):
Jerry Jones defended it. Jerry Jones, My man, we got
a better chance.

Speaker 6 (01:17:18):
Hey dude, Yeah, but they got draft picks that they can.
Jones is the best thing that ever happened to the
Eagles ever. That's all I gotta said.

Speaker 2 (01:17:28):
Detroit minus six Chicago. Detroit looked awful. Chicago had the
game one against Minnesota and blew it, as they often
do regardless of the coaches.

Speaker 3 (01:17:41):
New coach John will start with you, Lions.

Speaker 4 (01:17:44):
Giving six, Yeah, this is a tough game for me,
and I think with the Lions, maybe last week is
a bit more in perspective just how game wrecking Michael
Parsons is. And to Mike Current's point, it just everything
falls into place because he knocks the quarterback off their
spot with how quick he is, and then they run
into other guys in other sacks or maybe you know,

(01:18:06):
their footwork isn't great, so they're trying to throw the
ball with their their feet kind of in the in
the wrong places.

Speaker 5 (01:18:12):
So it just changes everything.

Speaker 4 (01:18:14):
So maybe the Lions get back on track, and it's
not that Ben Johnson loss isn't as great as we
thought or at least as it looked in week one.
But still there is a bit of questions as to
what the Lions offense is going to look like. But
at the at this point too, Caleb Williams just doesn't
feel comfortable yet.

Speaker 5 (01:18:32):
I don't think of Ben Johnson's offense.

Speaker 4 (01:18:34):
His inaccuracy I think shows that he just doesn't seem
confident in the pocket of what he's looking at. And
if that's the case, I just don't know if I
would be able to kind of bet Chicago as long
as Kleb Williams isn't really one hundred percent confident in
what he's seeing.

Speaker 2 (01:18:49):
Yeah, I don't have any particular conference in either one
of those TAMSD Trops all God all they were taking
on the screen may in the first week. GOFF was
thirty one for thirty nine. But yeah, they didn't look
at all like the TV reception. They still have talent.
The Bears, I don't know what's up with them. I'll
take the home team, give it a six cop.

Speaker 5 (01:19:07):
Yeah, I'm gonna take the home team as well.

Speaker 7 (01:19:09):
Caleb Williams just looks wild out there, like he's just
trying to do too much still, and maybe he'll settle
in as the year goes on. But week two, I'm
gonna ride with the more stable team at home in Detroit, Gas.

Speaker 6 (01:19:21):
Mike, you got the you know, the former offensive coordinator
going back to play them.

Speaker 3 (01:19:27):
I don't know what the make of either team after
one week.

Speaker 2 (01:19:29):
I don't like this game at all because I think
Detroit can still be a really good team, not as
good as they were probably last year.

Speaker 4 (01:19:36):
I can't.

Speaker 2 (01:19:36):
I just can't make Chicago out.

Speaker 6 (01:19:38):
They seem like they're in a lot of games, which
would lead me towards taking the six or six and
a half or whatever it held a number, isn't it.

Speaker 2 (01:19:44):
And it's a division game and they got the talent.

Speaker 6 (01:19:48):
I'm just to me, Caleb has so many bad habits,
whether they're his bad habits or the other coaching staff's
bad habits.

Speaker 2 (01:19:55):
This guy has to break those habits. I think it's
gonna be a hard task. I really do. Yeah, I
hear you, all right, here's an interesting game for people
who are total degenerates like us La Rams minus five
and a half at Tennessee. Now, I was interested in
the Tennessee Denver game because I was trying to stay alive,
and Tennessee stayed in that game for a long time.
I was getting nervous. The only biggest bone Knicks was terrible.

(01:20:19):
He was throwing picks. Tennessee's offense generated I think one
hundred and fifty yards against Denver's defense, which might be
the best in football. So I wouldn't judge that score
by anything. Bone Decks kept the score close a campboard.
Actually was fine. His problem is they stick. They have
no other talent around him. They picked number one in
the drafts. Yeah, they are horrible number one for a reason. Mike.

(01:20:41):
I'll take the Rams Matthew Stafford giving five and a
half on the road in whatever the hell town where
they Nashville.

Speaker 3 (01:20:48):
Whatever town there.

Speaker 6 (01:20:49):
Yeah, again, another one of those games. I really it's
too early in the season from both. Yeah, how could
you bet the Titans they're not going to score?

Speaker 3 (01:21:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:21:00):
I mean so if the Rams care a little bit,
which they probably do, because the Rams think they're going
to be good and they have next game is against
the Eagles.

Speaker 3 (01:21:08):
Yeah, you got to pile up as many w's as you.

Speaker 7 (01:21:10):
Can, so yeah, yeah again, Matt Stafford is still doing
at a high level. Pooka Nakua is back in mid
season form already. Oh, by the way, DeVante Adams is
on that team. So when Pop is not open running
and the running backs good, wait till Stafford and Adams
really getting mid season forms as the.

Speaker 2 (01:21:29):
Best part of Rams might be seriously, their defense really
yeah there, and they're young, very good jo.

Speaker 4 (01:21:36):
Yeah, that's where it all starts at for me is
the Rams defense, and especially their defensive line led by
Jared Verse, who looks fantastic, by the way, like one
of the best young defensive linemen in all of football.
They caused havoc in the backfield for CJ.

Speaker 5 (01:21:48):
Stroud.

Speaker 4 (01:21:50):
Titan's offensive line isn't very good. That was part of
the issues they had last week. Their pass catchers are
dropping everything and Kim Ward's young, so yeah, there are
gonna be at times.

Speaker 2 (01:21:57):
He looks like a rookie quarterback.

Speaker 4 (01:21:59):
I just think there's to be so much chaos surrounding
cam Ward in this game, uh that I think he's
really going to struggle. So give me the Rams. Matthew Stafford.
In the offense, it was good, efficient, he was twenty
one to twenty nine. They they probably lack some explosiveness
in the offense, but I think they can do that
against Tennessee, who had. Really their defense isn't good either.
It's just a bad football team, bad coach team. Brian

(01:22:21):
Callahan's the first year coach, but they were not the
second year coach. Yeah, that's right. They did not look
great at all in Week one. Very yeah, actually very forgettable.
It really is just seems like another guy.

Speaker 3 (01:22:32):
Where did Verirst got to college?

Speaker 4 (01:22:34):
I forget, uh, I think I forget you somewhere weird somewhere.
I know, I know it wasn't I don't know if
it was a big school, big time program. What to
Florida's day May So he was on the real good team,
Yeah he was. So it looks like he started off
with alban He started off with the Great Danes of
Albany and then transferred to Florida State.

Speaker 2 (01:22:57):
The Great Danes there. The consensus is Tennessee States. That
is the consensus is. Oh, he started at Albany Jared
Verse before he transferred to Florida State. Yeah, now he's
one of the best defensive.

Speaker 3 (01:23:10):
Line You love the great days.

Speaker 5 (01:23:12):
Well, how about that too.

long with my team at Bett Parks, where there's always
another way to win.

Speaker 3 (01:26:15):
Must be twenty one and located in PA or New Jersey.

Speaker 2 (01:26:18):
Gambling problem one eight hundred gambler Dick Jarding my current
command maker John Jansen.

Speaker 6 (01:26:23):
We're in the home stretch. I'm thinking of driving to
the Link. Mike is gonna go to the Owls he
wants to see it. I'm gonna get scalprol be outside.
The better game in the area is not is not
in the Link.

Speaker 2 (01:26:36):
Where's the better game?

Speaker 4 (01:26:37):
It's in Delaware the Blue Hens and the Huskies. Yeah,
at three o'clock today, Come on, what is it?

Speaker 3 (01:26:42):
Connecticut? At Dover huge, huge.

Speaker 2 (01:26:45):
Jim Mora Jr. Coach nine point favorite. I believe, uh,
Miami minus one and a half not homes against New England.
New England lost his home favorite to Vegas, which I
think is better than anybody thought.

Speaker 3 (01:27:00):
They were gonna know, they were competitive. Quarterback did not
play well.

Speaker 2 (01:27:04):
Yeah, Drake May was just okay. Miami was. I mean
they were pathetic. No, just pathetic and they w is
why I'm taking Miami. There you go.

Speaker 3 (01:27:14):
And I actually was thinking a lot about New England.
Miami can't be that bad.

Speaker 5 (01:27:19):
They got to it.

Speaker 3 (01:27:20):
They got Tyreek Hill, who I know he's going through
some whatever.

Speaker 2 (01:27:23):
I like the coach he's going to be going because
there's no way he might be going tomorrow night.

Speaker 6 (01:27:28):
Well, I mean, this is another reason why you gotta
like Buffalo to get like the number one seed, because
there's division. Ain't that good now? I look anybody that
bets this game. But again, if I was betting, I'd
take Miami. It's a minus one five.

Speaker 2 (01:27:44):
Right, yes, and they're getting no, they're giving they're given.
If Miami, if their players have any pride a win,
I'll take Miami giving one and a half. And if
they lose. It's been nice now in mid uh it's
say if they lose bad at all, over their heads scene.

Speaker 5 (01:28:06):
I don't want to touch this game with a tenth.

Speaker 2 (01:28:08):
There you go.

Speaker 5 (01:28:11):
Give me Miami. Miami is the better team.

Speaker 2 (01:28:14):
Last week was I thought they were the better team
last week.

Speaker 5 (01:28:16):
Yeah, last week was a disgrace.

Speaker 2 (01:28:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:28:19):
I mean, if Daniel Jones can do it, why can't
Drake May? But just bit the fault. Give me the
home team in a divisional match, John, Are we all
going to pick Miami?

Speaker 2 (01:28:28):
Is that possible?

Speaker 6 (01:28:29):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:28:29):
I think we are.

Speaker 4 (01:28:30):
And there is some history here to it does play
well against New England. This may be a little bit
different because it's Mike Rabel and Mike Rabel might be
the better coach, So it's maybe New England does a
little bit differently against Tua, and all the problems Miami
has just continues to kind of plague them. And look,
they're not a good roster anyway. It's not a great roster,

(01:28:51):
so I think that's a part of the problem in
Miami as well. But I'll take the history of TUA
doing well against New England and I'll take the home
team as well.

Speaker 2 (01:29:00):
That maybe people against Denver two years ago, and looking
on the flip side of this, and shouldn't New England
ever be just a one and a half point dog
on the road against anybody right now? It's a reaction
to letting Miami's patheticness last week. That's what it was. Ridiculous?
Are you serious? Really? All right? San Francisco on the

(01:29:21):
road minus three at New Orleans. Colin More did a
good job his first game. They were in the game,
no Rock party. Who knows who the quarterback is for
San Francisco. I know who it is. I know who
it's looking at the Mac Jones, Mac Jones, if you
bet this game, No, I'm being serious now, bet, don't bet,

(01:29:46):
but you don't have to bet every game?

Speaker 1 (01:29:48):
What do you do?

Speaker 4 (01:29:48):
Rock?

Speaker 3 (01:29:49):
They got no problem, They got no kiddle, no kiddle.

Speaker 2 (01:29:52):
The running back could go down at any time because
he's always hurt against the team that might be one
of the worst in the Spencer Rattlers.

Speaker 3 (01:30:02):
That yes, I'm telling Matt Jones. If you need to
bet this, let's go ahead.

Speaker 2 (01:30:09):
This is disgusting.

Speaker 6 (01:30:11):
And I knew I wouldn't touch this game with a
thirty San Francisco schedule early in the year, is easy,
like they got to get off to a good start.

Speaker 2 (01:30:18):
I just wanted to let everybody know that people with
the slot machines are staring over and Johnny, we can't
wait for you, for you to I dare you.

Speaker 3 (01:30:29):
I dare you to take this game in your in
your in your your pool got the winner.

Speaker 2 (01:30:36):
No change on this, Yes, that it's nonsense.

Speaker 5 (01:30:42):
I will take.

Speaker 7 (01:30:44):
See New Orleans now has a good coach, though, I
will take Kyle to win. I think better than what
they have. I mean, I like Kellen Moore, but I
have no idea. Still think San Francisco has the coaching.

Speaker 2 (01:30:56):
What's the line on this game?

Speaker 5 (01:30:58):
Okay, gimme, gimme Kyle Shane into super Down. Don't give
me the Niners.

Speaker 2 (01:31:02):
Give me.

Speaker 3 (01:31:02):
I would take the Niners if I had to, John, I.

Speaker 4 (01:31:09):
Mean, Brandon Ayuk is out, George Kittle is out, Brock
Hurdy is out. Yeah, it's just they're all out. The
one good thing that I can say is christ McCaffrey.
I mean, look, he at thirty one touches. That is
not remotely sustainable, but he's probably gonna get thirty plus
touches again in this game, and that's probably going to
be enough to beat a team like New Orleans. Rattler

(01:31:30):
throwing forty six times is you can't do that. Spencer
Ratler cannot throw the ball in a professional game forty
six times and you think you're going to win. It
was a huge problem against Arizona, and I think it's
going to be even a bigger problem against San Francisco.

Speaker 5 (01:31:44):
I just I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:31:46):
It's really I don't know how New Orleans really is
going to find any offense with a quarterback that just
doesn't seem like a starting court.

Speaker 2 (01:31:52):
Not anything I would like. Dislike the bet San Francisco
and mccaffery's they're playing on a green cement. That's indoors'
problem for an older guy. But yeah, I'll pass the game.
They should cancel this game. He rips me for saying, Buffalo,
mine is six. I didn't say don't know. I said

(01:32:14):
i'll pass. I'll pass the same thing. Now, it's not
that Parks is our sponsor. Let's go, But yeah, Buffalo
minus six and a half at the medal. I have
an opinion against the Jets. Mike Current with an opinion Jets.

Speaker 6 (01:32:27):
Just the Jets always played Buffalo for reasons I you know,
some teams do they don't They play him fairly to
Buffalo's coming off that emotional game and.

Speaker 2 (01:32:37):
It was what a Sunday night game was that Sunday,
justin Field, the Jets didn't look hard, and I don't
think the Jets are necessarily horrible. I think they're going
to finish second in that division, for whatever that's worth.
I think the Jets can give him a game that's
and six and a half in the NFL was We
understand that's a number. It is a big number college,

(01:32:58):
that's two touchdowns and its John.

Speaker 5 (01:33:01):
Yeah, give me the Jets here.

Speaker 4 (01:33:04):
I think this is gonna be another game like it
was in Pittsburgh, maybe high scoring. Both quarterbacks looked great
last week. Justin Fields really surprised me. Just in the
passing game. It was more of like he made really
good decisions on whether or not to run or pass.
We know he can scramble, we know he can make plays,
but just being a playmaker in the passing game was
really surprising. And if he can continue to do that,

(01:33:24):
they're gonna put up some points. Because that's a good
that's a talented offense. It's a young offense that has
Breese Hall who looked great nineteen carries for one hundred
and seven yards. Garrett Wilson is a really great wide receiver,
and they also have some great players on defense as well.
So like, yeah, I agree with Mike Current. This isn't
a team that lacks a lot of talent. There's good talent.
It's just gonna be up to quarterback play and Justin

(01:33:44):
Fields looked explosive in both the running and passing games,
so I think they can. They can stay close in
this one, so I'll take the polls.

Speaker 7 (01:33:51):
No, I set a six point spread for the Giants
game in a divisional game was an anomaly.

Speaker 5 (01:33:56):
I'm gonna hold true to that. This is a divisional
game and a half.

Speaker 7 (01:34:00):
I think it's too much for a divisional game against
a Jets team that is actually, you know, looked impressive
in Week one, could actually be decent.

Speaker 5 (01:34:09):
To my current point, I think could finish second in
this division.

Speaker 3 (01:34:12):
The Bill's defense didn't look all that No, not at.

Speaker 7 (01:34:15):
All, and I again at Baltimore is a better team
than the Jets, but still they didn't look impressive at all.

Speaker 5 (01:34:22):
I like the Jets here to cover.

Speaker 2 (01:34:24):
I think Buffalo has two really good players, the quarterbacks
I was tremendous and James Cooked the running back. I
don't like anybody else and the rest of our team.
I don't think they're that good. I haven't thought they're
that good. But they earned, as Mike said, terrible division.
That's why they keep winning. I'll think the Jets plus
is six.

Speaker 5 (01:34:39):
I said it last week.

Speaker 7 (01:34:40):
I'm kind of upset that they didn't go out and
get another playmaker on offense. Yeah, they're big, they're big
playmaker and was Joshua Palm.

Speaker 2 (01:34:46):
They're not good enough to win the super Bowl with
the team they have. They're just not. A defense is
not They don't they don't create it a lot for me.
I just don't get it. One of the four o'clock games,
Uh four oh five? Well, Daniel Jones, Welcome to reality.
Denver is in Indianapolis this week. Denver giving a point
and a head. Look real good. They look terrible on offense. Yeah, yeah,

(01:35:08):
defense is among the best in the NFL. John will
start with you. I can't believe the Broncos offense could
be that bad. And I will say this, Daniel Jones
ain't scoring on every possession. He might not score on
any possession.

Speaker 4 (01:35:21):
Uh Yeah, I have a tough time in this week
because I wasn't a big bo Knicks believer even last year,
and it just seems like maybe he could take sens,
But I just it kind of is who he is,
and I don't think there's gonna be like a gradual
improvement every year with him. I just he's an older quarterback.
What he was last year was fine, But I just
don't think there's gonna be like a year or two

(01:35:41):
just like giant step improvement from him. So to see
that against Tennessee, that's kind of what I expect for
the most part. It's just that can Chain Styken continue
to give Daniel Jones opportunity in the passing game to
be able to get Michael Pittman, you know, down the
sideline wide open. Really, I just thought that was a
showcase more for Shane Steiken. Daniel Jones. If he gets

(01:36:02):
his first read, he's accurate, like he's good. It's just
that when things fall apart, he has kind of the
too a problem where he just goes into chaos mode
and anything can happen. But yeah, Shane Stikeen did a
great job. I just the defense for the Broncos is
very good, especially their secondary entertained.

Speaker 5 (01:36:17):
So I am going to lean Denver here.

Speaker 2 (01:36:19):
Yeah, I'll take Denver against the team that shall not
be named k Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:36:24):
I think nobody's giving into the Danny Dimes hype. So
a home dog is telling I like Denver here to
roll with their defense and put up enough points to
get business done.

Speaker 3 (01:36:37):
Mike, Yeah, I look, I'm not sold on Denver, but
I'm not sold.

Speaker 6 (01:36:42):
It's weak two, so we could be sitting here in
Indianapolis could win the game somehow, But I would take Denver.
And I just think whatever we're thinking of Kansas City,
they got the Chargers in Denver in their division and
that's some serious football.

Speaker 2 (01:36:56):
And I'm not saying the Chiefs Kansas do what they do,
but man then gets this no slouch. I'm telling you, John,
Jim Hartball, whatever you think of him, he can.

Speaker 4 (01:37:05):
Coach outstanding, coach outstanding, and really that's the best Justin
Herbert may have ever looked. And I think Jim Harbor
and him are going to be a great deal of
the game in Brazil.

Speaker 2 (01:37:14):
The other four oh five game Arizona one and one
at New Orleans last week, giving six and a half
to Carolina, which played better down the stretch last year.
If I couldn't protect Bryce Young and Jacksonville, Mike, start
with you. I hate Arizona. I hate Carolina. How I
was gonna start?

Speaker 6 (01:37:31):
I mean, John, John's right about Carolina. We don't know
what to make of Bryce. I mean, what is the
line on this game? Six and a half at Arizona.
I couldn't beat Carolina, But it's the NFL. You know
it could be a three point game because that's what
the NFL is.

Speaker 3 (01:37:46):
But my god, I mean, my selection is my god,
you're selecting.

Speaker 2 (01:37:53):
I'll take this.

Speaker 3 (01:37:54):
I'll take Carolina in the six and a half.

Speaker 2 (01:37:55):
How about that? Carolina plus six and a half? Coleh.

Speaker 7 (01:37:59):
Carol is just so bad. I hate Arizona so much.
I'm not a Kyler Murray, although I don't know how
many years we have to give him. That being said,
give me Arizona because Carolina is so bad.

Speaker 3 (01:38:12):
John, You've always had a soft spot for Kyler Murray.

Speaker 4 (01:38:15):
I have and I still do like Kyler Murray and
I thought he played pretty well last week. And it
was good to see Marvin Harrison Junior involved early and
scoring getting into the end zone Week one, because I
know that was a bit a connection problem there with
those two and just getting Marvin Harrison.

Speaker 2 (01:38:29):
The ball in general was very tough for Arizona, So
that's a great thing.

Speaker 4 (01:38:33):
McMillan is a great draft pick for Carolina and that
is a target that Bryce Young has, So even though
they lose Adam Feeling, McMillan is a rookie, looks like
he's going to be up there with some of the
league's best potentially. But what I saw was a significant,
significant step back for Bryce Young. He was turnover happy again.

(01:38:53):
He wasn't seeing things well again. It just looked like
he was lost the same way he did in his
first year and for the most part of the first
half of last year until he was able to really
turn things around at the end. So that was concerning
and I'm just gonna take that and run with it.
That I think maybe just Bryce younga was great to
see that he was able to take or at least

(01:39:13):
improve some. But there still is a quarterback there that
probably isn't a starting quarterback in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (01:39:18):
So I'm gonna go Arizona. We talked about the Eagles
game extensively changed my pick yes, you can.

Speaker 3 (01:39:27):
No, the Carolina came.

Speaker 2 (01:39:29):
You forget that. I'm just ignoring the game. It should
be ignored. Sunday Night football tomorrow, Minnesota minus three and
a half at home against Atlanta. Minnesota was outplayed for
three quarters and JJ McCarthy was looked like he didn't
know what he was doing. Now he's terrific. All of
a sudden in the fourth quarter, the Bears collapse in

(01:39:49):
Minnesota wins. I'm not sure what to make of it.
Atlanta played Tampa. I mean it was a fifty to
fifty game. It was a really fun game. Camp is
up in.

Speaker 3 (01:39:57):
I mean, Tampa was a good squad.

Speaker 2 (01:39:58):
Tampa had the ball last day, end up winning the game.
I will take Atlanta plus the points. I'm a Michael
Penix fan, always was in college. I thought he'd look good.
He's got a lot more game experience at six seven
games than McCarthy does. So I will take Atlanta plus
three and am.

Speaker 5 (01:40:14):
John ooh, Atlanta plus three and a half.

Speaker 4 (01:40:20):
The thing is the Vikings defense is pretty good, and
I think that that's part of the Caleb Williams thing
is he came out hot. I think ten for ten
to start the game. But once kind of the game plan,
you know, the opening script went away, I think a
lot of the problems came in. Brian Flores is just
kind of having him the Caleb Williams guessing on a
lot of things, and that's where I think some of
the confusion came in as well. Viking Stephen is great.

(01:40:41):
I think that's forgotten about for the most part, that
it wasn't just Sam Darnold and Kevin O'Connell's offense. It
was Brian Flora's defense that did an outstanding job for
the Vikings. So I think that could be the same
here for Atlanta. Now Minnesota was able to run the
ball well too, Jordan Mason. As long as they have that,
the play action is going to work, and JJ McCarthy
is going to be awesome to play action. He does
a lot of He makes a lot of the same

(01:41:02):
type of throws that Kirk Cousins does. So to me,
like Kirk JJ McCarthy, his comparison to me is he's
Kirk Cousins but can run. And so that just fits
so well into Kevin O'Connell's offense. And it's not as
surprise to me that he was able to figure it
out in just the second half of his first start.
So I actually like Minnesota here laying the three and
a half.

Speaker 3 (01:41:20):
Yeah, I could make a case for you to him.
I'm gonna agree with John and my legs.

Speaker 2 (01:41:25):
Are numb.

Speaker 3 (01:41:28):
Lee.

Speaker 7 (01:41:30):
It's a reason I think they're trying to kick us
out subtly. Now I'm gonna split it here. I'm gonna
go with Atlanta. I liked what I saw from Michael
Pennox last week.

Speaker 2 (01:41:40):
I like it when we go to too.

Speaker 7 (01:41:41):
Yeah, Tampa did a really good job at stopping in
the run game in Bjehn Robinson. With that said, the
Falcons should have taken that game to overtime and then
whatever happens happened. So I think they're gonna have an
answer for JJ McCarthy. I think it's two good teams
going at it. So again, give me the hook with
the three and a half with Atlanta.

Speaker 2 (01:42:00):
Monday Night football. We got two games we'll start with
in Houston minus two and a half. Chris Jenkins still
remembered in that stadium. It's gonna be Tis Houston minus
two and a half against Tampa Bay NRG Stadium, whatever

(01:42:21):
the hell they call it these days. Tampa Bay won
the opener Houston lost in LA. I didn't love the
way they lost him. They were competitive, but you know great, Uh, Kyle,
we'll start with you, Houston giving two and a half
the Tampa Bay. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:42:35):
I like Tampa Bay in this game on the road.
Houston just has not been impressive.

Speaker 2 (01:42:39):
CJ.

Speaker 7 (01:42:40):
Stroud hasn't been impressive since his rookie year. I think
they have some things to figure out down there in Houston. Meanwhile,
you have Baker who threw for three touchdowns last week. Uh,
he's picking up right where he left off. So when
you look at strictly the quarterback battle here, I think
Tampa Bay right now could change down the line. I
think Tampa Bay is the better team.

Speaker 2 (01:43:00):
I'll take the road dog. I think Houston picked two
years ago, Mike, but I don't like this game.

Speaker 6 (01:43:05):
I rode dogs in Marquee games. I just I like
home teams in the Monday Thursday nights and all those
kind of things. I'll go with Houston, but I agree
with basically, I think Houston better win this game.

Speaker 2 (01:43:18):
Because you know, did Houston win a playoff game last year?
Didn't they? They lost?

Speaker 4 (01:43:23):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:43:23):
They lost? Yes? Yes? Oh well the Chargers. The Chargers
last year.

Speaker 5 (01:43:27):
Oh no, they did, they did.

Speaker 2 (01:43:28):
They won thirty Chargers had five turnos right then he
for like four terrible. Yeah, so the eye I was
still a playoff win. You should take that back. They
want to playoff. You got to give credit for that. Okay, Kyle,
you're already thinking of.

Speaker 5 (01:43:43):
Oh you already went to make sorry Jock ahead.

Speaker 2 (01:43:46):
I will go with Houston in this one.

Speaker 4 (01:43:50):
Tampa Bay while good offensively, and you know, Baker threw
three touchdowns and uh was a little bit inefficient though
they didn't run the ball as well as I thought. Look,
Texans are gonna have problems just because their offensive line
is bad and it's gonna cost chaos. And I thought,
you know, Week one could have been maybe, you know,
Houston with a different offensive coordinator. See de Shroud gets

(01:44:11):
going again in year number three and it didn't look
like that. But I don't want to fully give up
on Houston. C J. Shroud still is talented. They do
have some good pass catchers there in Houston. And again,
I just think Tampa Bay at times doesn't really play
up to kind of our perspective of them. They play
over it because their offense is really good. They have
great wide receivers and Baker is turning into a very

(01:44:33):
very good quarterback. But I don't think Tampa Bay is
just a given in any week. I think Houston can
win this one, should win this one. So I'm gonna
lay the points with them.

Speaker 2 (01:44:42):
Oh okay, all right, So Canelo and Crawford in a
Llegiance Stadium in Vegas tonight, then Monday night forty eight
hours later or less, given it, it's gonna start who knows.

Speaker 5 (01:44:51):
What fights At three am.

Speaker 7 (01:44:54):
We have the.

Speaker 2 (01:44:54):
Chargers's road favorites minus three and a half against Vegas.
Chargers look great winning against Kans the city and the
opener in Brazil. Vegas won in New England as a
road dog. I will take Vegas, uh in this game.
This is a this is wild, Mike, think about this now.

(01:45:15):
Back in the day, I think I have this right.
Pete Carroll at Harball used to go eatch each other
us they got the fights.

Speaker 3 (01:45:22):
They hated each other.

Speaker 2 (01:45:23):
Harbor or Carol went for two or something, trying to
run it up at Yeah, she said, this is this
is going to be a scent. I think Vegas and
my man Gino Smith plus the three and a half
against the Chargers. But anybody who can stay up late,
this should be fun Monday night, Mike, I don't I
like both.

Speaker 6 (01:45:42):
I mean, I like what Kyle's going to do and
I like what Harball is obviously gonna do. I could
take either side. I'll go with Dick. I'll go with
the home team on a probably the biggest game they've
played there. Right, they've only been in Vegas for a
couple of years.

Speaker 4 (01:45:57):
That new.

Speaker 2 (01:45:59):
Vegas Raiders Allegiance Stadium. For the people that don't know,
it's not far from the airport. Yeah, and you know
you're getting vision. I could be wrong here. I think
it's a little disrespectful of Vegas. Is a three and
a half home dog in a reaction. It's a reaction
to Chargers in a divisional game.

Speaker 7 (01:46:18):
So for that reason, I'll go three to oh here
of a Vegas John Champsen, Yeah, this seems like a
huge overreaction, not just because it's you know, the Chargers
and everybody wants to believe in the Justin Herbert hype.

Speaker 4 (01:46:30):
By the way, I'm a huge Justin Herbert guy, so
that's no problem for me. Uh, But I just think
this is a little disrespectful to the Raiders. Pete Carroll's
the head coach. Now, Gino Smith is there, and you know,
Smith looked pretty darn good in week one, and Ashton
Jenk is only going to get better. Brock Bowers has
been great. So yeah, I think this is a decent

(01:46:51):
Raiders team. They can stay in. This three and a
half points on the road that the Chargers are laying
seems like a lot to me. So I'm gonna actually
take the home team here. I don't know if they win,
