Wow! We feel so lucky to have spent some time at Hayward Field with the incredible Devon Allen. Sometimes the stars align and we get to chat with the greats!
In this episode, Devon Allen, 2x Olympian and 4x USA champion, shared insights into his athletic journey and personal growth. He discussed his experiences in sports, emphasizing the importance of well-being and recovery, especially after dealing with injuries. Devon also highlighted his role in coaching emerging elite athletes and balancing his career as both a pro football player in the NFL and a track and field athlete.
He talked about how he manages confidence and the benefits of participating in multiple sports. We brought back a round of rapid-fire questions, where Devon revealed some of his favorite spots in Eugene and his preference between a Super Bowl ring and an Olympic gold medal.
Overall, the interview provided a glimpse into Devon Allen's multifaceted career, his integrity, and his dedication to both personal and athletic development. We are Team Devon through and through!
*We had some audio difficulties as addressed at the beginning of the episode. Hang in there - it's worth the listen!
**Special thanks to Carter Stedman, host of the Birds of a Feather podcast for helping us out with some additional equipment - gotta ensure an Olympian has his own mic!
