I forgot to take notes and can't remember the exact order of events. Whether I remember all of it or not, it was still a very good episode. You'll hear which part I found most compelling, and I'm sure it was your favorite part too.
We mostly followed the events of the episode as they occurred. It's intriguing to see Morgan and her goons arrive at the Nightsister temple, where the Great Mothers are waiting with yet another star map. I wonder if these maps are an essential part of Dathomiri culture or just a plot device.
We briefly discuss the motivations of Baylan Skoll. We know he survived the purges of Order 66, but he harbors no love for the Old Republic, the Jedi Order, or the Empire. He mentions to Shin that he's trying to break the cycle of history, which raises the question: why help the Imperial Remnant? Didn't the Empire just lose the war?
Yes, Thrawn is their best hope of challenging the New Republic, despite its strained state. I'm very curious to see how Skoll's story unfolds. The same goes for his apprentice—will she follow her master to the end or forge her own path?
Give this episode a listen and share your thoughts. I thought it was really good.
What did you think?
