In the third part of the newly launched segment of Starting Overdrive called Turning Points, which explores life-defining events of irreversible change, creator and host, Reg Seeton, tells the story of his five-year recovery period after waking up from a coma in the hospital as a result of a hit and run accident that left him clinging to life on the side of the road one night in 1985.
During that five-year period, Reg underwent numerous life-saving surgeries and life-changing procedures. It was a cascading effect of injuries that forced him into an ongoing state of recovery all while trying to get through school and not be left behind

Reg also explores the life-long injuries he suffered, nearly losing my life, undergoing major brain surgery, starting over, letting go of his identity, his fight to finish school while being in and out of the hospital, and how he was suddenly different in the blink of an eye than everyone he knew.
