(00:00):
I've been to four five, six state of the save is back with
part 2 of The Wolf Among Us. Thank you for joining us in
this. Continuing game club of this
Noir mystery. We have finished the game and
(00:22):
are ready to discuss the whole thing.
All the spoilers coming up for that.
Oh yeah. And John is back with me for
part two with this game. Welcome back.
John, thank you for having me back.
Absolutely, I appreciate, you'renot kicking me out after the
first part. I do not considered it but fair,
(00:43):
yeah, that's know. You've been you've been great.
Thank you. And I've enjoyed this game.
I'm excited to talk about the the middle middle of shinde and
finale. Yes, it's got what we do.
We kind of just break things up in a way that leaves us.
We had to break up the games. Such a way where we're left
wanting more. Yes, after the first discussion
(01:05):
because, like, these are types of things where, what if we we
have some games that are so short that we have to finish in
one sitting, but games like this, like, especially Mysteries
or much more fun to talk about you, when you are still piecing
things together because that's when you can toss out the ideas
of, I think it's going this way or I think is going this way.
Yes. And we can white plan till I
(01:26):
diverge and interesting way. So I'm excited to see What are
this shakes out? I'm kind of interested to see if
this how many branching paths are indeed in this game because
I have a feeling, this is a lot more narrow than I thought it
was, maybe because I'm curious. Yeah, I will find out.
I'm curious to see if we picked any more similar paths, but to
(01:47):
kind of tease where I'm going with this.
I don't think that how narrow like the scope of this thing is,
holding it back at all right. Some unlike some other Telltale
Games, but we'll get into that. But first, What we used to do up
the top, John, what have you been playing outside of The Wolf
Among Us? I've been playing Legend of
Zelda, tears of the kingdom and it's been great.
(02:11):
I so last take over here, it is,Elena is good.
Yeah, guys, I hate to break it to you.
I'm going to be a bit of a groundbreaker here, but this
game is good, not many people are out there saying that ya
know where the first. It's it's great.
It's a fantastic game. And I'm probably not even
tackled 10% of the Game. No, that's impossible.
(02:32):
Barely, it's ridiculous. Like, we were here last time, I
touched it a bit, but I have notreally gotten this far as I
wanted to. I just wasn't feeling it, but I
felt the urge to continue and boy.
Am I glad I did? Because it's, it's a, it's just
the, the best video. One of the best video game
playgrounds. I've I've had in a long time is
(02:53):
because it's the game trust. You does to make your own
decision to trust you a lot. Yeah.
Because there, There are ways I have solved, a few of the many,
like, not many dungeons, what are they?
What's the price? The shrines, a few of the
shrines I would solve? And I'm like, I am sure that's
not how they intended for me to solve this, but I would find
(03:15):
some, like, barbaric way to solve a puzzle and it would work
and I'd be like I did it even though that was probably not,
right, you'd be surprised. How many puzzles can be solved
by taping a bunch of logs together, throwing it up in the
air and then using recall to when it falls, Al's to to ride
on it, flight back up into the air, and just run across it.
And I've done stuff almost to that level.
(03:38):
They're not quite in terms of like stretching it to get to the
finit. Finish up a shrine, but I've
been doing those. I've been doing the shrines.
I've been having a lot of fun. Exploring, the new Hyrule as
well as then to new areas, whichwe touched on last time, the sky
and sky and the on depths depths, which are amazing.
(03:58):
It's just so much content and I did get the chance to face one
of the dungeons, one of the bosses and that was a lot of
fun. I went to the, I went to the
Ruto Village, she went with the game told you to I did.
I didn't do that last time. Last time I also went in the
direction over breadth of what you did in tears of the Kingdom.
I didn't rest of the loud. I went towards the southeast to
(04:21):
the well, that was El Direction. The game was pointing you in for
that game. So it was yeah, because I like,
because it's sort of hints that way.
I don't know if they directly tell Well, you, but what they do
is they put, they push you towards kakariko.
Village? Yes.
And then from kakariko Village you it's natural to go to Haiti,
no Village and from there, you see Zoras Domain and the big
(04:42):
thing, the way it does sight line in that game to kind of
push you in that direction. Yes, the game doesn't do that
this time. It just flipped tells you.
There's something wrong with therudos everywhere else do, but
especially those root Jose need some help.
Yeah, I went, that's nice. Sprinted the other day, I would
go that way. Look at that way with the
places. I'm not supposed to be.
There's a pirate camp. That was a problem.
(05:05):
Oh yeah, I didn't touch on this last time, I found like a kept
hearing, people talk about a village that was overrun by
Pirates and to basically do thatwith like low-level gear, having
to basically do Guerrilla tactics like tape and stuff to
my arrows from trees and just picking them off doing stealth
kills doing like the Puffs room.Yes.
(05:28):
Shoot an arrow and make it foggy, just like a sneak up
behind him and do stealth kills.I need to remember the Puffs
room. I have not really used it.
Much pops rooms are amazing for this game, especially when you
in. If you go the way I do, I've
ended up with some high-level gear because I went the way I
wasn't supposed to. So I am currently a glass
Cannon. I can do a lot of damage but if
(05:49):
one smacking your down yeah one black of a cob Wade hits me.
And I'm going flying off the maplike it's an unpatched version
of Skyrim. It's yeah, it's amazing how
vastly underpowered I have felt for most of the experience.
That's not necessarily a bad thing but it's so much fun to
feel. Yeah.
Cause it's kind of refreshing. I feel Scrappy.
Yes, game. Very it's like I'm it feels like
(06:11):
you're doing something, you shouldn't be doing.
I will say there is one thing I did where I did.
I've not really retreated for many enemies.
I would, I would try to fight them until they were dead.
I wouldn't back off, but there was one enemy.
I came across, I was like, oh, that's a really interesting.
King dilapidated, Roman Coliseum.
I'm going to make my way over there.
(06:32):
I cross a nice Regal looking bridge.
I get there. Someone who posted a while to
make. I know what's in there.
I don't want to touch it. Is it is it mr.
Lionel, he's got mr. La.
Oh no, I don't like mr. Lionel.
He's not very nice. He is very mean, and I'm not
seen him yet. And I'm afraid this haven't seen
one either. And I'm like, where are you?
Yeah, you're here somewhere around here, and you're going to
kill me many times before I can beat you, but that's okay.
(06:56):
I came Came across a giant three-headed monster.
I've seen one of those. You have.
Okay, seen an electric one of those.
Yes. To the nor.
Do I like the Northeast? This might lose your powers to.
I saw it from the distance. I just put a skull on my mat
there, but we're not touching that yet.
Welcome back to it. That was what I did.
(07:16):
I don't know, but I entered the Coliseum.
It was like, what? Like whipped his head around,
like, would move. So, the Coliseum little know.
And then I was like, I'm out of here and then it before I could
run away, it killed me. This redheaded boy, Just guard
the bridge. Oh my God.
It's like, you shall not pass onmy cue, right.
You're right. You're right by of.
No, I'm not. This a here.
I'm gonna go beat about 20, moreshrines before I face you again.
(07:38):
Goodbye. I'm always trying to pick.
What was this thing? What's this thing is, what do
you prioritize with the shrines?Let me just because I, my brain
always goes to Hearts is my first priority.
Do you go do the hearts of the stamina wheel in breadth of the
wild? It was stamina, okay, it was all
stamina in this game is hearts with a little bit of stamina.
Me too because just the way I'm going, I feel like I need some
(08:00):
buffer in my health here. And with the new systems you
have a lot of ways to circumventthe climbing the climbing and
yes, getting around light. It feels like grains.
Not as much of a problem in thisgame.
It's been annoying for me a few times, but it's definitely more
of a staple of rest of the wild,I would say.
Because the toolkit they give you, they give you more
(08:22):
circumvention tools. Yes, exactly.
More things to piece together. Why?
If you want to make a campfire, you can just put one of the
little wing and things on to putlike, put it on a tree.
Yeah. You have like a little shelter
and then you can make a campfireor make or have one of your
(08:44):
little traveling pots. That that's another thing too.
To help some circumvent it too. Because if I'm about to climb a
mountain, I can just make stamina stew.
I don't have to go and like backtrack to find.
Yeah. Hey A place where I can cook.
I can just be like I'm just going to pop one up here.
Makes go through my inventory ofthings because I'm a collector.
(09:04):
This guy. Collect every single thing I
see. I do too.
So I just go down the list and go stamina, stamina, stamina
stamina and then all of a suddenthis thing is no problem in
front of me. Yeah, exactly.
I needed. So, luckily, I had a similar
situation when I went to the wind Temple, which is what the
location I went to it requires. It's in a very cold place.
(09:25):
So I had a Apparently gotten lucky because I had made a whole
bunch of food where I could resist the cold before hand.
Not knowing that the dungeon would require such.
Yeah. Come stances until I got close.
Of course, that's good enough. Yeah.
When you get close enough, you read, you're going to
immediately realize, oh, I get it.
I know why it's going to be so cold and it was great.
(09:47):
That part of the game was great. It was very invigorating to
fight a Zelda boss again, right? It's not that they're not like,
Super difficult bosses but theirbosses that give you enough of a
challenge and they make you think enough and they're fun.
At least the two bosses. I did, I did one mini-boss in
the depths and then one boss at the water temple and both of
(10:14):
them were distinct from each other.
They were evolved tragedy, they weren't necessarily hard but I
had a lot of fun doing them. Yes, they weren't like
impressive the wild at the end of each dungeon, you had to
fight a Different Light. Version of Ganon right water.
Fire Thunder and wind blight andthose were very integral, they
were okay. Yeah, I really didn't feel like
(10:36):
Zelda, boss these feel like justyeah, there's a, it's
everything. I love about breath.
Oh wild with more classic Zelda stuff thrown in.
Yeah. So I know I'm going to end up
loving this more in the end. Yes, as I keep playing it, the
boss I felt definitely the boss.I did fight felt like much more
of a Zelda boss than I would saythose like than anything.
(10:57):
After a while. Yes, that's what we're talking
about there. Yeah, yeah not too well no and
that's true but not in a not to distress of the wild, I loved it
and we loved it. I think I can speak for you and
saying that we loved it breath of the wild had to be made to
get this game. Yes.
Yes, we couldn't just go right here because a lot of the
building your knowledge base forthis game, kind of depends on,
(11:19):
but the wild is possible to go into this blind.
I feel like I would be overwhelmed.
Yes, I would be, I'm still I wasstoked.
Kind of overwhelmed just becauseit had been so long.
I've not touched breath of the wild and several years.
I probably hadn't picked that game up since.
Before the pandemic, I went backto it in the month leading up to
this game because I was like I kind of want to get my knowledge
(11:43):
basis again for this game like just the controls how climbing
works and that helped a lot. You're having the basis not
being like all right what you putting this?
What how do I Sprint again? It's kind of spider that.
Little bit. Jump this on X.
What? Yeah.
Well, don't know what makes sense.
Okay, then yeah, we had, we had to re go through that cycle of
(12:04):
what it's on this button and tendo and it's like, okay.
I so I was like, I had, you wentahead and just rip that Band-Aid
off. Yeah.
Like a month before the game came out.
And so, when it's Market came out, I was like, will rain for,
and plus I want to do some questlines at Miss.
I get into Tarrytown the first time.
So I did the Target on quest line, which is great do Charlie
town. Yeah but unfortunately the past
(12:27):
two weeks I wasn't able to spendmuch time with Zelda because it
was a game. I've been looking forward to the
past year that came out. Mmm Street, Fighter 6
understandable, Street Fighter 6is a fantastic game.
Good. What's your experience been with
this so far? So my experience with it has
been, what constantly? I'll go over my experience with
(12:48):
Street Fighter as a series first.
Yeah, she fires a series. I've been always been adjacent
into but never really. Got into until more recently.
I was um I was a Mortal Kombat kid.
Yeah we play Mortal Kombat. You play Street Fighter II was
playing Mortal Kombat. PS2 Mortal Kombat games, you had
to drink, Pepsi, you drink Coke.Yeah, exactly.
MK. 9 10 and 11, I absolutely loved Street Fighter was one.
(13:12):
I've always had like had sort ofpassing interest in.
I had puzzle fighter going up, which was a puzzle game with all
the street fighter dudes in it and I love that.
But I never quite made the Jump the street fighter.
I tried like I like Marvel vs. Capcom and stuff and a couple of
the art, Capcom Fighters. But Street Fighter was one,
didn't get into until the 30th Anniversary Collection on
(13:35):
switch, which had one most versions of to every version of
like three and all versions of Street Fighter Alpha.
So I just kind of went ever. I played around with it, Molly
from a game, like historian Sandpoint going.
Okay, these are what these gamesare.
Right. Comparatively then I dug.
(13:56):
Once I saw a street fighter, 6 was coming out.
I dug deep into it or adding themechanics, trying to get good at
Street Fighter. Then I got a Street Fighter 4
didn't touch Street Fighter 5 because I know that when I was
little if he had heard it's likereally good now but it seems
like it. Whoa, intimidating to jump into
a game, that's a fine game does active for so long.
Yes, Street Fighter 6, got into it on the ground floor.
(14:18):
This game is everything I could possibly want from, not just a
fighting game, but a video game.Ooh, so many modes, so many
like, so, there, I'll go walk through my experience with each
of like the three main modes. The first one is your typical
fighting ground mode. That's where you'll find where
most content of your fighting game is, you'll find your ranks
matches, your player matches, your arcade towers and your
(14:40):
training mode, your training, the training mode in this game
is fantastic. Every single character has a
separate tutorial on how to playthem.
And there's instances where, like if you pick Rio weekend,
it'll not only explain how to dothe fireball, motion the
hadouken course, Circle forward punch but it will explain okay?
(15:04):
You know how to do it. These are the situations when
it's best to use these. Oh, if you try to use it here
when they're jumping, it'll leave you opened and then
they'll kick you or do a attack to do more damage because that's
considered a punished when you're open during the attack.
So what explains to you, the materials Annex of the game and
that combined, with the multiplecontrol schemes.
(15:28):
Yes, makes it easier to jump in as a newcomer, I'm stubborn.
So I picked the classic controls.
So rewarding the 6 button layout, but there's also a
modern control scheme for this game, which everyone people who
are coming back to fighting games after like a decade, and
people who are new to Fighters, because they think the
characters look, cooling the characters look really freaking
(15:49):
cool in this game. There's Martin control scheme,
which consists of you have one button for light one.
But for me, I haven't used as control schemes on my beginning
to strong. You have a button for a light,
medium heavy. And do you have a button for
your special moves? So, for example, with Ryu
instead of doing quarter-circle forward punch, you just hit
like, on PlayStation 5 yet triangle and that's it.
(16:13):
Your triangle towards to do a kick triangle back to a bat, the
bat kick, special triangle up todo the uppercut special.
But there is a downside to it because you can do specials out
really fast. You don't have access to the
entire moveset. Okay, so I'm wondering if people
(16:34):
were realized I don't have access to a good anti-air with
the with this layout or and thenthese combos, the way these
combos putting together just doesn't feel right.
I'm wondering if they'll make the push to go to classic and
fully learned the character likemodern, I think is a good way to
test the character. Or out, without having the full
(16:54):
breadth of the mood set. It's like trying to figure out
what they're good at and what moves connect to each other.
Yeah and then I think switching the classic and then learning
how piecing together like this, how I want to play with this
character. Now I'm going to try to now they
have the whole moveset. I can try to like piece things
together and make some ridiculous combos out of it.
So that's been my experience with like, fighting ground.
(17:14):
Next is the battle Hub. The battle Hub is the online
Lobby system. Where it is a full like arcade.
There's a bunch of cabinets around.
They have different servers. We can walk around and join up
with different people. And they have icons at say, hey,
this players at your skill level.
(17:35):
Based on like the matches you Bueno lost.
I've lost a ton of matches. I thought it was getting good
with the character and I lost a bunch with that characters and
I'm rethinking everything. So, it's nice to know was like,
Hey, if you fight this guy, you might have a chance.
They also have a bunch of capcom's, like class that they
have a set of rotating arcade. Cabinet says, quack, capcom's
classic arcade machines, nice taking place that weird Megaman
(17:56):
fighting game over there. If you want you can play Final
Fight by the fights always on vacation.
Those are guy on launch day. Who on watched a the for a full.
30 minutes while I was in the Battle Hub was just playing
Street Fighter 2. Oh my God.
This is the new one but you can't fault the guys who is
great? No, but I'm like you're in
(18:16):
Street Fighter think it's playing Street Fighter 2.
If you're that guy, you have 10 ways to play Street Fighter 2
right now? That's funny.
I get it. But there's also like, for those
games. There's also like online
leaderboards and stuff. They have a maid for those.
So that's the other one is WorldTour which is a create a
character. Full-on adventure story mode.
(18:37):
Okay, with an open-world city, they're just going around and
the world in the world of StreetFighter.
Apparently set the set in place in Metro city, the city from
final fight. Mike Hagar's, the mayor was
pretty great and you just go around and go on like a little
Adventure meeting up with all the Street Fighter characters as
(18:58):
he teach you moves. So it's a good way to learn the
moves because you adopt their moveset and can mix and match
special moves from the fighters, who are your masters Masters.
But in this big open world city, you can just challenged random
people on this route will fight, and will agree to what the like.
Yeah, sure. Because in the street fighter
universe, that's how like exchanging goods and services
operates via fighting. Oh my God, I don't, I would die
(19:24):
in that Universe. I will ride be very poor in that
Universe know, I don't haven't seen anyone die or what get
bruised of. This University was getting
knocked down and go. Oh good fight man, and just walk
off. The magical part of the day.
Everyone's super like everyone'ssuper buff, right?
I guess. Yeah.
Or people like crack with vary in different body types can
(19:45):
still do, like, Judo or like thehot high-caliber.
Everyone can do a jump flip in this universe.
Some like the street by our universe might be the place to
be. Everyone just seems super cool.
You can just throw down to just throw a fireball at a given
notice. Who would think that the secret
to world? Peace is fighting.
(20:05):
Street Fighter, figure that out and as of like, so yeah, this
game. That's why I think this game has
reviewed really well, if I get 90 Plus on Metacritic, which is
unheard of for fighting games, because I think it succeeds as a
video game, and not just a fighting game because the
fighting is that as the Baselineis friggin fantastic, but it has
(20:25):
all of the layers here. So many fun modes, so many like
fun character interactions. So many fun online elements that
I think completes this package. That's true.
Power 6 is a friggin incredible game.
I'm having a blast with it and Ithink it's the perfect pairing
for something like tears of the king.
Hmm, there's a kingdom, is like more chill.
Yes. In a way, it can get stressful
when I wanted to get stressed. Yes, three, five.
(20:48):
Or six is just all-out bombastic, stupid fun.
My favorite characters right noware about to say who's the one,
you think you've mastered so farthe best and nobody who
mastered? But I thought it was getting
good with Jamie. Jamie is really cool.
He's a new character, he's a rush down tight who will get in
your face and you can get down down punched to drink and the
(21:10):
more he drinks the more More powerful and special your
special moves and you'll unlock new moves.
If you drink for heater face, will get read your hair will get
down and you'll just go into like Drunken Master Kung Fu pose
and then all of your moves, justget crazy, scream filling
nonsense. It's awesome.
But I was starting to get good with him.
I was starting to win ranked matches with him and then I
(21:32):
couldn't play this weekend and then jumped online and everybody
was kicking my butt. Oh, so I'm like, all right.
Time to learn new character. I really like, Ken is Classic.
I like cattle lat. He's like, Ryu, but he's more
Rush down. He's born in your face.
I'm gonna throw you and knock you in the air tight.
His critical art. His special move.
Is he not see when the other than just go sit out and shut up
(21:54):
and then knocks you back up? It's pretty great.
My null is awesome. She is a tall pink haired French
ballerina, who knows Judo so hermoves the more she throws you
the more powerful her throws gethuh?
So eventually gets the point where she just one hand tosses
you up. In the air grabs you and just
slams, you when the crowd and while doing like a pirouette,
(22:17):
it's amazing. I want to learn her so bad, but
it's like a character I want to make freaking cool.
I kind of liked it when it heard, there's also a new
character Marissa, who looks like she's a Grappler but she's
just a tank. She's a huge, frickin Spartan
Beast. This a fun bit where she takes
off her Spartan helmet. And her haircut is the exact
(22:37):
same cut as a Spartan helmet. But yes, she she just runs Is
it? You and punches, you punches,
and kicks really hard. So that's pretty cool too.
So, yeah, I love the roster, especially the new characters.
This is probably my favorite line up a special characters.
I've seen the flow of new characters.
I've seen in a fighting game ever.
Wow, this batch of new characters are great dancers, so
much personality that want to get good with all of them,
(22:59):
especially when it frustrates methat I'm bad with manal.
Just like everything on paper. I was like, this is awesome.
Just I'm going to, I'm gonna do some big kicks on you and then
throw you in the air and just slam you while, also doing
ballet. But yes, fantastic, I'm gushing
about this game. I know, but known
understandably, it's so much fun.
(23:21):
I just want to keep playing moreof it.
Yeah, honestly, fighting games have been genre that I have not
delved into enough or very much at all, in my, you know, time
playing video games. It's, it's just a genre that
I've always Found to be really fun to watch but it's like entry
level is always scary for games like that.
Yeah. Smash Bros is, the only is my
(23:42):
extended fighting games and that's not, not not like those.
Well I argue that this is the same boat as like a Smash Bros
4. Smash Brothers is not just a
good white fighting game. It's a good video game because
you have all those modes that I agree with everything.
So I think this succeeds on thatfront and there's a reason.
This is the best reviewed fighting games since Smash
Brothers, right? Probably because of those Those
(24:04):
are you can do the offerings in the way.
It kind of odd can onboard you into this game.
So yeah, I love Street Fighter 6, I'm gonna praise that, I'm
praising this game to high heaven Capcom can do no wrong
right now? No, they've been great, except
the press conferences, but the press conference is an urban
good. The one last night was just,
like, here's updates on games. You already know about.
Like, do you want you have recipe before you want to talk
(24:26):
about DLC? No.
Okay. No.
Are we going separate ways? Are we getting the Ada
storyline? I don't know.
Wasn't he said I don't know. Yeah but I can't but they put
out just this year alone they put out Resident, Evil 4 and
Street Fighter 6 so that they can do no wrong studios.
(24:46):
Are lucky to put out one game that successful every four years
five years ago because God's like here's two is two bangers
in a Megaman collection, everyone was asking for and
here's teasers for Dragon's Dogma to, so they're they're
doing great. Yeah, so happy like Everett
where they have a multiplayer shooter coming out next month
(25:08):
that I would otherwise not be interested in but now I'm like
you know, what comes hot right now?
Yeah, they've been on a streak. So maybe that's why I took it
into my check out that data. I was mad at first because it's
a game featuring dinosaurs, and it's not related to Dino Crisis
series. They own this present evil with
Dinosaurs. Oh my God.
So, there's no mention of that. So, not to get too long, I'll
(25:30):
just touch on briefly. I mentioned this on the show
before they have Have a, they have a pink-haired, a pink
redheaded lady with a black, bodysuit in the main dining
crisis, and in this game in the main game to, she's Regina and I
was like, oh, they brought Regina back for this, it's not
Regina. No, I'm like how healthy are,
(25:51):
you know what you're doing? How dare you.
I guess you don't want to tie itto the universe but also you're
doing time done with Shenanigans.
Just put Regina and here, ReginaSchool.
I yield my time that it's straight from the street
fighters on the radar now because it's just again, like,
I've always been intimidated by fighting games, but maybe, maybe
(26:12):
if I do, try one of the B StreetFighter 6.
There is a demo of that game, where you feet where it's one
chapter of the world tour mode, the insane character creator,
okay. And the two character is only
two characters, but you had in an arena but it's a good way to
like one of the moves and it hastutorial too.
You can play around with the classic and modern controls, I'd
(26:34):
say, play around with that tryout.
Modern controls run around MetroCity a little bit, get into a
fight with a street vendor, and if you don't like that was fun,
but I don't want to play anymore.
I'm like, hey that's that's awesome to see.
That was enough of an experiencefor me to be positive because
he's beating up people to in their jobs.
(26:55):
I guess they wanted. I wish you could, I wish you got
discounts on the stores by beingfight, winning fights with them
that it's my stead, you get money from them so you get money
for the store, which I guess counts.
Yeah, yeah, that doesn't go away, describe it.
Imagine if Pokemon was settled with this and not your Monsters
Face. I'd be I'd be like, what?
(27:16):
What? What?
It's like. Yeah, go out and catch all these
Pokémon, but don't fight with ifyou fight for them.
Exactly. And speaking of like little
monsters. Yeah, I guess that's a segue.
It's time to get back into The Wolf Among Us.
Last time we left off on our journey, man.
(27:37):
I can't believe that. T.j. was the crooked man.
I know. Right, man.
I'm just bummed about that. But, yeah, Wolf Among Us.
Last time we left off, Bigby wolf was Trying to solve what
was going on paper towels. We're trying to find Ichabod
Crane, he's missing. We inform snow-white of what's
(28:00):
going on which leads us to trying to find out where think
about crane is he stole a piece of the mirror and now, we spend
episode of 3, trying to get it back.
And that's kind of where we leftoff.
Let's do an overview of kind of are like white thoughts.
Before you get Deep into this. Yeah.
(28:22):
I think this game is so fantastic.
I thought it was very fun. I enjoyed it.
I am a little bit disappointed after playing it this time.
How little I think this game actually, like, branches out in
a way. Yeah, where it doesn't feel like
my choices. Overall, make that big of an
(28:43):
impact on the overall story. I had a few moments like that to
where I had like the thought in the back of my head like this
doesn't seem feels like it's railroading me back.
Yeah, it's like I did like the actions of one of the other
characters was like I okay that doesn't match with the decision.
Earlier. Yeah, there's there's a few of
those that's happened more than in this last half than in the
(29:03):
first hit for sure. Because this is where the point
where the story needs to wrap upsake.
I need to keep you on the path. You can't really straight, you
can Branch off a bit and then come back.
Life is strange, did that in a way where I felt like the chasms
between what you were doing? Even though you were hitting the
same beat for beat plot, it feltlike the context of each scene
was swayed by the decisions. Yes, the context here.
(29:25):
Feels like it's always the same.No matter. what necessarily I'm
doing, which I'm interested to see once we get to the beginning
because I know we took two different paths here, how it
kind of played out and why Therewas information that I was
unable to get that. I wonder if you were able to get
and if that makes a difference at all.
Yes. So we'll kind of, well, we'll
(29:48):
get into that. But so, yeah, let's go ahead and
get that. So, we have at the top where we
left off, we had choices of three places we could go.
We could investigate the tweedles.
We could investigate cranes apartments with doesn't, but it
doesn't seem like a great lead but bluebirds going up there,
and we don't trust Bluebeard. Yeah, or we can go to the trip
(30:09):
trap. To look for Lily's things to see
if she still has a connection towhere we can find the witch.
Yes, that seems like the most pressing thing for me at the
time but it is also possible that those things would still be
there. Even after like, situations
whatever. Oh so you went with, I went to
(30:31):
cranes apartment. All right, walk me through that
because I imagine our trips at scene.
I imagined our trip to have seenis similar but Probably, but
we'll we'll see. But I could not do a lot in
cranes apartment. So what me through cranes
apartment. Okay, so when I got two cranes
apartment, it was clear that he left in a hurry.
(30:55):
We investigate for a bit and we find ourselves.
I didn't see didn't say that Bluebeard was going to go to
Gran's apartment. Yeah.
Bluebeard was not there with me.Okay, that was in that was I
thought that was kind of odd, but if he was, I don't, he
didn't say he didn't have anything relevant to the plot if
(31:16):
he was there. But I came into what was crap.
Well, I found a bunch of more evidence that was incriminating
showing that he had been giving, you know, withholding money,
okay. That he had been infatuated for
lack of better words with snow. Okay?
And I went into, Room to investigate more and I came
(31:40):
across somebody who we briefly met in the previous, one of the
previous chapters. We found little Jack Jack was
there. He was okay, he always shows up
in my story again once that was that was the last time he showed
up for me as well. No, this wasn't the last time,
except for me, he didn't show upfor me until chapter 4.
(32:01):
Yeah, and the the pawn shop. Very briefly interesting.
Hmm. Okay, maybe there's more going
on than what I thought. All right, mr.
Being in the pawn shop. So why was Jack?
So why was Jack there? No, he might have been in the
pawn shop. Nevermind?
Very, very briefly during the beginning.
(32:22):
And he's like, hey, wolf and then bounces.
Yes. Okay, so he was therefore he was
there briefly. I was, I thought, what is the
point of this character? Yeah, he so he was there and he
was, it was clear that he was trying to.
He was like, I was, I was watering cranes, plants, you
know. And then Big B's like oh yeah.
Where are the plants then? And they would be basically
caught him in a lie. And he explained why he was
(32:46):
there? Or do you just he kind of gave
me the, he gave, I might have been because I picked bad
decisions, but he gave me the runaround and he essentially
said, hey somehow, we let it outthat we knew we were trying to
find the witch Got it and he waslike, Hey I know where you could
find her and he said but you gotto know basically don't tell
(33:08):
anybody I was here and I thoughtI could make that deal.
So I made the deal with him to not rat him out.
Okay yeah I'm a diver I made a deal with Jack.
He seemed and I made a note thathe seemed to be a bit of a
actually I'm not going to say this yet but We were, I was
(33:28):
wondering if he worked for somebody specifically but that
never really seem to wrap you. Go ahead and talk about that.
We can spoil the whole game here.
Okay? Doc we don't have to take it
like beat for beat. We can because we played this
full game. Yeah, hand kind of dive into the
full like analysis here. So I didn't, I was I was
(33:49):
wondering if he was working for the Crooked, Man.
Okay, after that, after I met the Crooked Man later in the
game, I was like, was Jack working for him, but I didn't
see anything to indicate that heWas he might have been but it
wasn't as blatant as some of theother characters, okay?
The point is I made a deal with Jack.
He told me where I could where Icould find the Witch and then he
(34:12):
said, just don't tell anybody and I was like, okay and then
snow comes in and she's like, ohwhy is Jack?
Here's a good, I didn't have to tell anybody, she just saw that
he was there, that works out. Yeah.
That worked out well and he was like, oh, hey.
And then she went and talked with Jack and then big be moved.
On to the next location. Okay, so you got the location of
the, which yes, from here that interesting.
(34:35):
And then I believe, oh wait. I'm double checking my notes
here to make sure I'm not lying to the audience.
Okay, no. She did talk with Jack but then
we I left with snow, you're supposed to do here.
Yes. Okay.
So snow went with you to the next location.
That's interesting snow was never with me here, we went
together to the witch Right to the so you only went to one
(34:58):
stop. I went to another stop after I
can't remember it was after the width.
So you only went to to, I went to all three, really?
Yes, I only went to wait. I'll walk through what I went
through. What I did then.
So I went to the trip trap grindle, and The Woodsman were
waiting at the door for me. Acted really nice.
(35:19):
They were, they were drunk because like way to nicer you.
So, you did go here, I did go there.
Okay, I did go to the trip trap.Wendell's on painkillers.
Yes. Because of being white shot or
whatever happened to him at the events of the funeral.
Probably from you. Ripping off his arm.
Yes. 2010 that comes into play. It doesn't really does it.
(35:41):
No, it just seems he doesn't he just doesn't have an arm.
Now that seems to be the only thing.
Oh man, that's a bummer. So Yeah, the painkillers are
making grindle. Hi.
So, I took an ill-advised drink with him.
I feel like I'm going to try to play this out to where I can be
friends with him. They said the doctor says he
shouldn't like makes like his alcohol with his medicine but I
(36:05):
end up drinking with him. Anyway, I did too.
Okay, so him in The Woodsman, get into it.
Grindle was mad at The Woodsman because is revealed here at The
Woodsman hired Lily. Yes.
And he hid it from Holly. Hmm.
And I just Was I defend The Woodsman I'm like, hey, whatever
happened between then is betweenthem.
(36:28):
Yeah, I just not make amends with The Woodsman.
Yeah, he was me too. I was like, it's not his fault,
she had of dead. What he did was probably was
wrong. Yes, but it's and he clearly
felt somewhat guilty about it. Yeah, and she said that that was
between them is no reason for usto get involved with what
happened was between him. Her him and her and by extension
(36:51):
Holly like there's no need for us to get involved in that whole
situation. So yeah, I defended Woodsman so
that that didn't calming him down was mint, leaves, and
Grendel, gets quiet. He just like, ghosts.
He goes to sleep because the sleep.
So now the mission becomes to search the room without waking
Holly. Did you wake Holly?
(37:12):
Holly No, Holly thinks I'm The Woodsman.
Ah. Did you wake Holly?
I did wake up had this go. She, uh, she was on those
painkillers to and she was resting.
And at first, she thought I was The Woodsman, but I know I like
was getting. I found out.
She does that like, she kind of like, like she, it's a hazy I
(37:34):
call that hat. Half asleep.
There we go. But I do something, I like bump
something. When I'm getting a box out to
look inside of it and she's like, oh, Big B, what are you
doing here? Oshin.
If he finds out, it's you. Yeah, she realizes, it's me.
Oh, so you do wake her up more. Or and I tell her the truth, I
say I'm here to look for I was Iwas honest with her and she was
like, take what you want you've already you she was very passive
(37:57):
and it was very sad because she was like, you know, she was
clearly a morning broken person and she just was like, what more
can you do? Just take what you want and
leave you thought. It's all you do is take and it
was like my mind was like this is like I so I search I find all
of the information here which which is the the vile believe.
(38:22):
And yes, photo and Holly thinks in The Woodsman I found the big
thing is I find her the address book here.
Yeah, so that is so that is whatwe need.
I imagine you got that and plus the piece of information from
Jack that tied those two together.
So you know exactly where to go.Yes, was that what happened
here? Yeah.
Okay. So I get the, I get the second
(38:44):
piece of information from a different place.
Then so, Queens apartments next Buff kid is watching Bluebeard
is what because I get terrified guy jump because like the phone
rings and Snow White is calling.Ah, remember snow called in
mind. I don't recall if snow call it
(39:04):
in mind. Okay?
Because you already had the info.
See if I like, okay, we got we got what we need.
Let's go. I'm still looking for the second
piece of info. Yeah.
So where I'm going? Next is cranes apartment.
But I will say here, when alwayslooking out I never tell her
that the wise, man. She says someone's like, do you
think like, big beat like cares about us?
I don't know if he does and I say, like something on the
(39:26):
wasn't like, you know, I think he's trying his best.
Huh. Something like that and she's
like, I hope you're right. She did ask me a question there
at the end. Like do you even like she did
ask a similar question and I waslike I care about everybody here
in this, town was essentially myanswer and she was like oh you
know basically show it was basically her response if I
(39:47):
recall. Yeah I'm starting to in the
first half you don't know how tofeel about like a lot of
characters I come around on so many characters thing in this
fat calf, knowing like the places.
They're Are making them do the things they are.
Yes. They're a product of the system
keeping them down and one man profiting from all of their
(40:09):
misery. There's a reason I feel so bad
about ripping Grendel's arm off now.
Yeah, I mean he's not the best guy but it's clear that he's a
victim of this system. Yeah, exactly.
And like having to wait in line and feel like frustrated with
the bureaucracy, it was like I was trying to find this person.
You guys weren't doing anything and I was too late because of
you. Yeah, so you have to live with
like a lot of The not your decisions but like a lot of the
(40:31):
decisions from like management and like the corruption go
people, you kind of LED for thisto happen.
Yeah. So second place I went was
cranes apartment. I brought Bluebeard burned
everything, but now I'm not after you told me about Jack
now, I'm not so sure about. Can I thought mentioned that?
He destroyed everything but likeif Jack was there so yeah
fireplace was burned, those are both burn book, a burnt clock
(40:54):
and a Burt photo. So, all the things you gather
this evidence. When the fireplace, wow, what
was the clock? The clock was, the clock was
burnt. Did I have?
Did you investigate that? I don't remember investigating
the clock. I do.
Remember I remember a photo. I don't just buy the
incriminating evidence. Yeah.
(41:15):
Ty crane mortis? No, yes.
I don't remember a clock, though.
Maybe I missed the clock. Getting it at the club shoot.
Darn it. And then big pieces.
Well, that was a waste of time and that's it.
That's how that sing well. So, and did you go to tweet the
tweedles? At all?
I did go to sweetles at all. Are you did not?
I did not know everything about to say to you is new To you.
(41:38):
Yes. Okay.
I don't even get that chance. All right.
Fi catchers here. Have you met?
Did you meet flycatcher at all here in this section at all?
No, he's a janitor with a fly hat with a frog hat.
Oh, I met him at the very end ofthe game.
And I was like, who is this guy?Like it literally, it was like,
who is this? I didn't.
(41:58):
I've never seen this man before in my life.
I was like, all right, this is acharacter I guess.
Okay. Froghattan why catches a janitor
here? He tells me he's seen a Just
come by, but he doesn't know much.
So he's just going the places. I guess the sweetles are there
out but like I can, I can show you around I guess he like opens
the door to their office. Mmm.
(42:21):
And in the twetos office is justlike a typical like messy Noir
office here. There is a punching bag with big
B's face on it. Oh, in the corner, that's going
to write everything I taught. All right.
I'll read over my notes here andthen I'll try fill in what I
have it written down here. Sure, crane owes money to the
(42:43):
Crooked Man. I find their ledger so you
probably found something similarat his placing, does he owes
money to the Crooked Man? It was it was indicated there
that he had been giving money tothe crook of okay.
He owes a lot of money to for command crane hired the tweedles
to take a photo of faith. Ha ha Cinderella is on vacation
(43:06):
in Europe because you can, that's right.
It was they have dots like folders.
On each of the Fairy Town fairies are very Talent.
Fables and know everybody peopledown tabletop, very comfy, but
yeah, the Cinderella's game, she's on vacation in Europe.
Avoiding all this lucky Cinderella.
Of course, the detective, who detained Big B has a file
(43:27):
saying. Keep an eye on her.
She doesn't play another role inthe story, but the tweedles or I
would guess Like looking after everybody who's connected to
this overall thing and we eventually find out that the
tweedles are mostly there to keep the cricket.
He's kind of their enforcers tight, we learn later who is
real enforcer is yes, we do Beauty owes a lot of money worse
(43:50):
than big be thought. Yeah, so if I catch her, he's
cleaning up the room base like, you know, Tweedy and um they're
not as bad as. What they say, they took me in,
they gave me a job when like no one else would they provide for
me? They've been they've been really
good to me, huh? So big be mad.
Just says, like, are you kiddingme?
(44:12):
I told him about what they did at the funeral and he led me to
a hidden staircase that because I find a key.
There's also a little bit here, that's kind of cute where they
have letter boxes to each other,D in Dumb, and they're at their
opposite desk. And there's one that says, like
dumb. We should get a dog D.
(44:34):
If you go Sierra 1D, I hate dogs.
Dumb. It was so fine.
Key, flycatcher pushes, a metal case to the side and walks me
down this area here like the staircase to a hidden basement.
(44:55):
Um, it's right fly. Catcher wants to come back to
the wood ones. Which ones at some point crane
was sending his. Here's the thing.
So this is probably find out where I find out about the
Crooked man's like package, delivering operation.
Yeah, it was partially being runout of here like they were.
(45:17):
So if I got this right, the Dee's were about getting
packages to the Crooked Man. I believe so whereas they were
part of their pack that packaging operation giving stuff
to the Crooked Man whereas for we find out later in chapter 4
The Butcher Shop was sending things out from the crooked man.
Yeah. So they were like it was a
(45:38):
circle that none of the areas like really touched each other
who was all a perfect like circular operation that led
through the office here. So some parties being more
willing to participate Brothers crane was sending snows hair
through D and Dumb to the which Auntie Greenleaf to make the
snow glamour. Yeah, a package is here from
someone names of the butcher which we later know now the
(46:02):
butcher. Yeah, Greenleaf was disguised as
the kit wipes, oh I did not separate my notes Here for when
we go to Auntie Greenleaf. Oh no, you're good.
So that's basically it. We find out here this is where I
get the connection because of The of what flycatcher told me
(46:26):
and what was in The Ledger of the money that where we find out
where Aunty Greenie? No, because sorry, the package
is where we find what. Auntie Greenleaf is he clears
the air because we find the package and find a package.
And rest. In that place, we find the
package in that place of that. Okay, so that's how you.
(46:47):
So that's how I knew about the pack.
So you get this cool, you get the same information, just
divvied out in different ways indifferent.
Locations. Because I'd that was my first
exposure to any packages. Was that greenleaf's?
See, I got from like the D and dumbs in their hidden link
packaging operation here. So we go to Andy Green Leaf.
We get the knock on the door anda little girl answers and
(47:08):
immediately I'm like, I rememberthis.
I know what's up here. I had a much more.
I had a much more dark thought of who it could be.
I was like this is obviously somebody who's glamoured?
And I thought it was crane. No.
No, I was crane trying to like hide there because they thought
that they thought that she was hiding crane.
Yeah. Because, like, in, there was
(47:29):
even a comment where big B's looking around in there and he's
like, I can even smell his cologne.
Long. So you thought, oh, and I was
like a stress himself as a. Oh, yeah.
So that's why I was like, I've been pummeled this man and what?
And so, when the little girl wasnot crane, but was in fact, a,
which I have released, I was like, oh, thank God, those two,
(47:52):
which I don't wanna talk about this.
Yeah, I have to talk about this game.
I don't like about exactly like,the god, you're a witch, but it
was like, wait, you're a witch. And, and that was anti Green
Leaf. She was disguised as a girl, and
she did not like that. We were going around the
apartment and she seemed particularly, protective of the
(48:12):
tree. Yeah, we were investigating.
Yeah, she's not helping. So we get her to talk.
He went to the crane, went to the pudding and pie.
How did the wit? So this is where snow is at
because this is where she sent an emotional height, he or she
is very upset. This is where We find out that
(48:36):
like she's one of the people whomakes the Glamorous.
Yeah. Or at least the get gathers, the
ingredients, to make the Glamorous to send to the Crooked
Man for a part of his operation,The Butcher Shop.
This is the origin of the snowplow.
So yeah, this is where this is where it started to get that
well-trained, supplied the support supplies, she supplied
(48:58):
the magic materials and sent it to I guess the other which is
too. Make the illegal illegal
glamorous. It's a RL equal.
The bootleg glamorous. Yeah but snow does not like
that. She's like we're gonna burn your
tree. Yeah.
Do you burn the tree? I did not burn the tied to not
(49:22):
burn the tree either. I was like this is too far.
Like I get this is wrong but this is someone's property.
We can't just go in here and Destroy someone's property.
I did it last time. Oh, okay.
Because I knew what was coming up.
I know we're in the trial, seen that the whole you got me my
(49:43):
tree, I got you, your Cherie. That moment of.
Oh, ha ha ha. But um, yeah, so I didn't want
to do it this time. I'll Sky hoping, I was kind of
hoping you would like help John,Princeton trees.
I suggested. I should just messed up the
(50:04):
tree. I was so touched that was
probably the first non simple thing for snow.
Call the time because I've been sippin hard for snow, I mean,
wheat. Yeah, this is a space.
Here we go. I was like, I Do I want to get
on his good side? But then like when she was like,
burn the tree, I was like, no, no no.
And that was the first time I went against any of her wishes,
(50:24):
pretty much. Yeah, I was like, nope.
Is that the one that I guess? The first time I was not as
strong, I was like. Yes, ma'am.
Yes, ma'am. I got a lighter here.
I like cigarettes all the time. There's hufflepuffs that
everyone crabs on me floor. It's a great gag.
It is I try to play it back at the end of chapter 4.
(50:45):
I like make it a Like they did it twice.
Am I going to make it a rule of three here by adding like a
doing it for the Cliffhanger, but we'll get to that.
So yeah, we don't bring the street.
Did you hire the winch to be a part of fable town?
Or did you arrest her? I think those are two options
here. I don't remember doing either
(51:07):
those right after that second circumstance.
Oh, did you just like alright, we'll leave you alone by?
I think so. Okay.
I think that's what I did. I don't remember how I didn't.
I didn't you did. You definitely didn't hire her?
No right now. But I also didn't like take her
into captivity or any. I wonder if it was something I
did then because I got a talk. We went to.
(51:28):
Yeah. I I'm a note here so I stood
between them, it was like Hey look we got a glamour shortage,
it sucks. But if we had another witch who
knows what she's knows what she's doing working for us.
We can at least Get the gears turning to stop this societal
(51:49):
issue from happening. We take away one of we didn't
know at the time but we were taken away once a crooked man
suppliers but also moving it towards us.
That's a pawn, that's not pain but like a piece from the
Crooked, man's play roster into ours, helping us instead.
So I thought that was like, the best decision here, giving her a
(52:11):
job to where she was like contributing to the society,
from a positive standpoint, rather than helping people in
like the dark sense of the word.If I had those, if I, if those
were the only options I would have picked that one but I do
not recall picking either of them.
Got it. You're probably just like I will
(52:31):
leave you alone by basically. Yeah, that was what I remember.
Thanks for the info. Keep your tree.
Twice a day, make less of those lose those glamour's.
Yeah, but most of my decisions here were geared towards Fixing
the societal issues in Fable Town.
Yes. Snow wasn't as mad as me as I
(52:51):
thought she'd be. Yeah, she was mad but not like,
I'm never going to talk to you again.
No, nothing like that. The pudding and pie first note,
George is here, I hate Georgie Georgie sucks.
Yeah, I grabbed crane Greenlee said sold crane out with a bad
(53:13):
ring. He was trying to get do
something. He he's trying to break the
spell. Yep.
To keep the to keep the Rissa from Talking.
Yes. And she was like crying but that
ring is like she sold you out. That's a fake ring.
Yeah no one told no one had toldhim that the ring stopped
working. Yeah he's like oh because was it
(53:33):
Bumpkin who told us that someonetold us that the ring hadn't
worked in like 10 years got shitor something like that.
And yeah work the it is fun isakwork.
Why aren't you working? There's this as like I've been
telling the same thing I told you.
My lips are sealed. Which confirms?
Yep. They've been cursed to keep a
secret. Yep.
Train didn't kill Lilly. I believe snow because he's like
(53:53):
sniveling, like, crying and was like, this is much bigger than
crane. Yeah.
He was just, he was on the floorand I was like this man's
pathetic, but I think there's more to it than that.
Yeah, he's a creep. But yeah, I don't think he would
have killed. No her know someone who was
like. Giving it like this Twisted Dark
(54:15):
Fantasy. I don't think he wouldn't have
killed her. If you want brave enough to ask
snow out he wasn't brave enough to kill somebody.
Exactly 100%. No snow was mad at old crane.
If she wasn't here I'd hang his head on the Washington Bridge.
Oh hey be a step too far. I hit a button and it was like I
was like yeah the snow was like just glared said it was like
(54:39):
that may have been a little too far there.
Because baby can snap at a moment's notice and just go for
quite good. Calm, like good cop, big be to.
I'm gonna rip your head off. What are you doing?
And hang it on the Washington Bridge just like, okay, I just
so are not get that. So we arrest crane.
(55:01):
We won't credits. The game is fine and dandy and
that's the end we solved it justkidding.
A car rolls up and we when we arrest klain and I wrote Oh yeah
this lady. Yeah, Bloody Mary.
A bloody mary, a cool idea for an enforcer, very cool idea.
And a Villain. Like I'm not 100% 100% sold on
(55:24):
the way she looks, but I love her white, I love her writing
and I love the role. She brings to this story and
Despite her look, she's scary. Oh yeah, her form.
Her final form that. You fight is closer there, but
we cool. Uh, I was hoping for something
more mirror like and like broke it like broken pieces and like
(55:48):
Jagged edges to her, but she I know she's like glamoured up
here and everything, but like I thought I liked the like glowing
red tattoos on her chest and on her arms and everything.
Yeah, but I'm not 100%. So one or two look.
But as a Sure. She's great.
Yeah. So very minor complaint their
Heroes up with the the twetos with their guns.
(56:10):
Yep. So train is the Crooked man's
property and We get the option to their appointed guns on us
and we have the option to dodge out of the way, but it doesn't
work because we dodged one were shot by the other yuck.
And This scene rules? Yeah, we go a little farther
(56:32):
with our wolf transformation this time.
Yeah. Like that.
These, he's you throughout like, you think.
Oh, this is the final transformation?
Yeah, exactly. You like, oh, this, this is the
final one. No, the big bad wolf.
And then, no, that's not the bigbad wolf.
Nope. That's the mildly irritated
wolf. Yeah, that's the wolf yeti, man.
Um, You walk in I'm like you're the Terminator.
(56:56):
Yep. Just charge them as they're
shooting. He lasting you and you're like,
Boo, throwing things picking up like the like AC units in the
trash cans, just throwing it at them while like Mary watches.
So you run up, you pinned, um, against the wall and you have
the choice here to kill him. I beat the hell out of him but I
(57:18):
did not kill him. Yeah, I didn't kill him either.
I was just like because at this point it's like I'm trying big.
I'm trying to project. Big be in the direction of being
be honest. If Snow White wasn't looking,
would you have killed him? I would rip his fat head.
I would have enjoyed it too. No, but he, I was trying I was
trying to play it. Like I was actually trying to be
(57:40):
a better, a better Sheriff, a better person of justice.
And I just wasn't going to rip somebody's head off because I
didn't like them or because theywere trying to kill me.
I was going to subdue him. And that was what I did.
I didn't kill him. Yeah.
Snow trace my life for train because because your shot with a
silver bullet. Yeah.
She's, yeah. She's in there, they pull off
(58:01):
the Silver Bullet stuff. Like, oh good, like a line here
that didn't exactly right down. But she was like, I don't really
believe in the silver stuff, butit seemed to work just fine.
She takes trained and walks overto you and break your arm just
steps on your army, break it. Yeah, that wasn't that didn't
phase me. What face me is, what came next.
Ya later on but So really chilling moment here where she
(58:28):
walks away and then says this nolong was the queen because those
in charge now. Yeah.
So it's like the power Dynamic we wanted but not the way we
wanted it. Whether it's like the villains
are making this happen. Yeah.
It's like we almost like snow tobe in charge, but but that was
like, are we playing into their hand?
By making it happen? Yeah.
Are we good? Are we the ones who are going to
(58:50):
make things right? Or we, the ones who are just
going to keep them in power which is a very interesting
Dynamic. This cut this Cliffhanger, the
Cliffhangers in this game top-notch.
Yeah, that's it was a really good one.
I did play Chapter 4 right afterThree.
I stop myself. I wanted to try to break this up
(59:11):
between like different, like play sessions.
Hmm. Yeah.
I had, I to, I did three and four, and then I did five
separately. So this episode 3 sounds like
we, we broke off for a bit that it had acting like the same spot
which is kind of how these like adventure games where these
narrative adventure games especially from Telltale sort of
(59:31):
go. But I like that we were able to
get our information action in different places and that I saw
location that you didn't even see ya.
It was kind of cool. Yeah, like maybe that would have
made me feel a little bit more connected to the tweedles.
But by that point it was just like, I hate these guys.
It's or like, what did you miss flycatcher as a character?
Yeah, he just shows up. I'm like, who are you?
(59:53):
Why are you here? Episode 4, Bigby's apartment.
Physician swinehart is back. Yeah, I like swinehart.
Yeah, I like it too. He SAS.
See I love it. Big B has nightmares a bloody
mary to kind of start us off. It's like a mirror of what
happened here. Goodbye meerkat is a mirror of
what happens at the beginning ofchapter 2 where we see Like we
(01:00:20):
see from a different angle of Big B, remove the sheet and see
Snow White's head and then we goto the police station.
It's kind of a similar effect tothat where we are living like a
traumatic moment and we cut thatto the present after the
horrifying thing. Yeah, I wrote look, I can handle
blood but something about havingthe snap your own bones back.
(01:00:41):
Into place is kind of cringe. Yeah, that was bad guy.
I like doing it multiple. I thought would just be like a
one-time thing is like - I do itthree times.
You gotta tap X and hit Y type exit.
Why is that? Oh, so you were able to get it.
Did, you know did you fail this Kono so so I failed the last one
and then he was just like, oh, For Heaven's Sake.
(01:01:04):
And he grabs your arm and he snaps it back in and things like
this white Hearts. My heart just grabs your.
I was like, oh, For Heaven's Sake.
And then he that makes me loves in one swift motion.
He just With Force jobs it back in and they'd be like, oh, open
Palm. Just like yep.
Oh man, that's great. That rules.
It was funny. I was like, ah, shit.
(01:01:26):
Because when I missed that was like, oh, that's probably bad
and then immediately, I was like, oh and then he fixed, it
calls me, it's a see here. He basically like just harassing
the doctor. I said, please don't distract
the doctor while he has my chestcut open.
Yeah, good really good. Wine here.
So we the stakes are kind of raised here.
Daughter says one more silver around to the In your dad.
(01:01:48):
I'm not even I will be able to put you back together.
Yeah so the stakes are higher. This reminds me of because these
fables are not Immortal but theycan take a lot of damage.
Yes this reminds me of like the movie, The Wolverine, or
Wolverine loses. His healing factors all of a
sudden. Everything can be a danger.
Ah and it makes it makes the stakes more race even though
(01:02:08):
he's like on the level of like anormal dude.
Yeah. It's almost like, oh, wow.
We see what these freaks are capable of.
So you might want to take it careful, especially with With
Bloody Mary just hanging around with a revolver.
Full of silver bullets. Swinehart hates Colin, is my
dedicate. This is like it's no big baby
Colin. Yeah, he doesn't like what
(01:02:31):
happened between these two? I'm wondering if swinehart one
of the pigs that was when I thought I was like, maybe that's
one of his siblings. He's mad that he doesn't want to
like he's living with the big bad wolf.
Yeah. Then why is the White Hart
likewise when are helping them. But yeah, but he's name is
(01:02:52):
swinehart. So it's like, so my speculation
is like, he's probably he has his life together.
He's probably the brick. Yeah whooping.
Yeah. If I had to break sibling most
intelligent the most competent, Calling Collins the snake.
The stick guy. I imagine if strong guys.
Probably dead somewhere. Strong guys are armed going.
This is great. Oh yeah I'm talking about.
(01:03:15):
Let's try White live in a mansion now.
Yeah I mean we think of that Futurama quote.
One of my favorite ones are for.We live like kings nothing.
That's the strong. Yeah dropping.
(01:03:44):
Cautiously optimistic about thatcoming back.
Yeah, that's my joke. I'll kill you a future of this.
Great. I say the snow snow.
I'd never leave you because of course I did.
Oh yeah, I should big be in snow.
I do too. It's a very sweet dynamicism is
(01:04:05):
very good Dynamic. I love those two working
together, even if it's not like romantic them as partners and I
love ya. You not romantic.
I love it. Wait date.
They need each other. Yes, no snow is driven but big
toe is driven. Big B, can be The Logical one
to. They can keep each other in
(01:04:26):
check. Yeah, for what multiple reasons,
they complete each other and because of them.
I think they're the perfect pairing.
I love those too. We want to read the comics again
to get more of their like Dynamic that I wrote.
Right? Yeah, of course, I'm defending
snow and every option I take whatever part of you thinking,
Fair II. Gal.
I get it. Snow is deep now that she's the
(01:04:47):
deputy. Deputy basically deputy mayor of
fable town. She is hard to enforce the farm
thing. So what video did you tell
Colin? Then I said snow will come
around. That was what I said to.
Yeah. Yes, I didn't want to say,
you're going to the farm. Spoiler alert.
Snow does not indeed, Comer. No, she does not.
(01:05:09):
He's not she doubles down on this Farm.
I was like, screw my decisions. All right, that's fine.
All right, so yes, it was a start thing.
Although I wonder maybe if we were more matter of maybe if you
were more firm with our decision.
What if we said, no, you're not going to the farm.
Maybe it would have been different outcome.
Maybe I'm not sure. Um, one thing that I think this
(01:05:31):
game would have One of the complaint I have with this game
is I would like more context forthe farm in order to make a more
informed decision. Yeah.
Because for like, for most of the farm stuff I took the Middle
Road because I'm like, I don't know one way or the other some
say is bad but some seem like okay with it, I'm not sure.
I Colin just doesn't abide by rules anyway so I imagine if
(01:05:55):
they even have like a schedule, he's like I hate this.
Yeah I'm piece of anything wherehe has to conform to anything
he'd probably just yeah. But But big beam like makes it
does it doesn't seem like a bad thing at the end of the game.
Yeah. Because I don't think there's a
way to avoid having some people go to the farm, you had the end
of the game and it's kind of like a sad moment but also is it
(01:06:18):
cuz I don't I run a couple you with the comics.
I don't know fully what exactly the farm is but also it's like a
matter of folks know is pushing. It can't be like to but it can't
be like order. Just have too much faith in.
You can't be like a prison camp which is very possible that I
just have too much Faith. It's so it could be, but I don't
(01:06:39):
think snow would send these. These people to be like a
prison. No, it's not.
Well, It's Tricky. Yeah, we're context would be
nice and I hope for Like The Wolf Among Us to.
We see how did it go to the farm?
Yeah, that's what I thought we were going to end up going.
Yeah, me too. At some point this game.
Like obviously we're going to have to go to the farm and I
(01:07:00):
Chapter 2 or 3. Yeah, this isn't we come to
pass? No, we're done.
It just told about it. Big B's office.
Yep. Because we get because Snow
White when she comes in. She tells you that you have no
you get a phone call. Right.
Where nerissa is waiting and she's willing to talk to you
because I want to talk about something.
(01:07:20):
So in big B's office, nerissa ishere hopefully with more info.
I forgot to go over the decisionpoints for part one because I
have them here what we touched on it.
So o know, if you visit, cranes Apartments first, then visit the
trip chat, flycatcher and the twetos office will not appear
(01:07:42):
in. You want to give the decision.
I offered flycatcher job with 97% of people.
Huh. You decide to make a deal with
Jack. You are the 70%?
Yeah. 70%. 80% did not burn the tree.
Yeah. And 55% did not kill Tweedledum
that was like, more of a split this.
Yeah, that was definitely, I could understand why people
would have wanted to do it, so Iwanted to do, it becomes a
(01:08:04):
calling 85.5% people did not send Colin to the farm.
Yeah, I mean, Collins kind of a bit of an asshole but I don't
want to send him to the phone although you do get called out
for you hypocrisies later on. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So, alright, now that we caught up on decisions.
Let's go to big B's office. Now, this is here hopefully.
For more info, she can't speak magic keeps them from talking.
(01:08:28):
So baby figures out that the ribbons are doing it.
The ribbons are tied to keeping their secret.
Yeah. Do you try to remove the ribbon
so before I before my dumb brain, put all that information
together. My decision was this is an audio
show so you can't see it, but I essentially went just, I reached
for it, I was putting grab, I thought I did that too.
(01:08:50):
I thought Big B would be a little more like gentle, like,
hey yeah, I'm going to do it, not just like let's just figure
this. So, she freaks out and then I
comfort her. Oh, I do the thing where I put
my hand on her shoulder as they noticed, I'm sorry, I'm not
going to do that, don't worry? Yeah, let's see.
And that was sort of the end of that conversation.
We've had people 63% do not. So it's 30 was like a two-third
(01:09:15):
split. We are in the third that was
like, we'll see what this ribbons about.
Dang. We've been consistently picking
the same thing for the most part.
For the most part. Yeah, you know like the wood
split stuff here because I thinkwe have like the same like Yet,
when it comes to what we're like, trying to figure out.
Yeah. So Snow White comes in until
they'll wait, sorry. I comfort her and I promised her
(01:09:38):
that I will keep this between usto keep her safe.
Mainly the information about theribbons and the information
about the spell. Yes, I probably know white comes
in and tells us, she has a lead Beauty and the Beast.
There's a moment here where you're like looking for your
things and services. So what was that about?
I just keep silent just like thescope at the silent button.
I said something but it was not like there was like another
(01:10:00):
option that wasn't like, oh, I was Keeping secrets for nerissa.
It was something that was one. That was like the magic, the
ribbons are doing it but you might deploy it that way at all.
Cause I think the other one was just like, matter of fact it was
like, well, you know how these things go?
That might have been it. I might have been with something
like that. Um, I think that was what I
(01:10:20):
picked or nothing. We didn't already know
something, like just that. But so Teresa Williams saying
that the lead that Snow White presents will help us Us, which
is beauty. The B.
So, this is a really short scenein here.
That is just made to tell us that if you had it already
connected that it was magic ribbons doing it.
(01:10:43):
I feel like the game through that of you enough.
This is just a point you in the direction.
Hey, these are magic ribbons. Yeah, this is so big.
It is everyone on the same page good?
Okay. Magic ribbons.
All right, bye. Go to go to Beast and Beauty and
Beast apartment. We learn more about their
financial struggles and how theyreally are.
Just trying To keep up their oldliving style, despite it being
(01:11:05):
harder to maintain. Yeah, I point out how expensive
places versus the debt? They're in?
Yeah. I'm like yeah, this place is
very nice. Yeah, look like you're in debt.
Yeah. So the Beast was not happy to
see me. It was not at all because he's
like, are you going by your backis like, I could have killed
you, bro. But I'm just not lie.
That's why I was sort of like, and plus you agreed, like when
(01:11:26):
he saw the murder scene, he likehelped us.
So I was like, what happened to that?
So there's no decision points here.
You get there at you, get their terrible, but hilarious
answering machine. Yeah, IV what our base and we
are at our away like this typical couple fabulous.
Yeah. Yeah.
The big piece like a too busy being adorable or something, it
(01:11:48):
being in love. It's like this various and even
the guy calling the threatening message like I hate answering
machine. I'm gonna kill you so I stopped.
Do you stop being he's from picking up the phone or do you
take the phone? I stopped to beast from.
No, I didn't stop beast. Beast answered the phone and
(01:12:08):
hung it up. Oh, so you just picked it up and
hung it up. Yeah, that's the other option
was I think to pick up the phoneand try to talk to the guy.
I just stopped by. I let the message play out,
knowing that if I pick up, he will hear it, hang up the phone
or something. But I stopped BC just like, just
just typical thing. It was like, I'm gonna I'm gonna
kill you because you owe the Crooked Man money.
(01:12:31):
Is that what he said basically? So Mike that it's called, um,
Paraphrasing a little bit but this game is better dialogue
writer than I am. Um, so you point me in the
direction of two locations, the lucky Pond, where the above the
cut about the lucky pain is where we know that that's where
(01:12:52):
Bloody Mary frequents a lot because that's where she got
like the woodsman's axe and everything and I forget what
system, they're running out of there, but you also know that
Beast has been working for the Crooked man's Delivery Systems.
Try to earn that money out of a,The Butcher Shop.
(01:13:15):
The Cut Above So Choice, side butcher shop or lucky Pond.
Where do we go? I was like, I'm scared of bloody
Mary. I'm going to the butcher shop
that's why I went to. It makes the most sense being
like that. Seems like the place where
things are going out of ya. So I want to see what's there,
so I imagine are things here kind of played out similarly.
(01:13:35):
Yeah, 6336 Cut Above. Yep.
So I felt bad for the butcher after learning more about him.
Yeah. But the butcher shop seems like
this place. There's no smoking sign.
Oh yeah. Do you keep smoking or he played
out? I put it out with big because
like any like I keep smoking everything with the cigarettes I
(01:13:59):
did took full advantage of especially in this chapter
because there's a lot of that like the smoking imagery coming
into play. Yeah and their package system
seems important to the operationthe butcher trip.
I thought was a silent alarm. Yeah.
Me too. But was this hot alarm?
It was like a warning light. So you're like chasing him
through the like neither am I chasing him?
(01:14:21):
You're just hitting like your dialogue buttons as big as they
travel to meet through the meat. The meat locker reminds me of
like the scene from Rocky. Even though I just this cell
every Meat Locker looks like it's like it's like Rocky.
He leads you to a door, it was smart to lead.
You directly where we wanted to go where we want to go.
Good job butcher there. But I guess we wouldn't find it
(01:14:43):
any fun anyway. He's like, please don't get in
there. They're gonna kill me like what
they're gonna kill me anyway. Now, that led you here.
So, rip, open the door, and thisis where they're shipping
glamour's, and other magic from So the cookie man's got Monopoly
and fabled town. All this to run like cheap
(01:15:08):
magic. Yep.
So there's white Shackles on thefloor like body shackles in the
doors. This is like the Sweatshop part
of like, the operation and new, like, push back the board, and
you find out just how many people are asking for stuff from
the crooked man. Everybody's got ties in this
because the system failed. Everybody in this town.
(01:15:30):
Yep. It was a long list names on that
board. So, What do you say to Johan?
Do you promise that you're goingto take his operation down?
He's like, he's gonna come back and kill me.
You have a choice to make. I've told him.
I would protect him. Okay, that I promise I'll
(01:15:52):
protect you, I'm with you, no matter what happens.
We'll make sure that you're protected.
I said, like, we're gonna take down this entire operation, but
when we wound up The Shard mightwe get a note here at the shop,
The Shard might be at the lucky on.
We've got like a kick in the right direction, about The Shard
to the mirror. Yep.
At this point, when I played this deferred update this close
(01:16:13):
enough together. Why?
I remembered The Shard with a plot point?
Keep in mind that when this gamewas coming out back in 2013 and
14 chapter 2 was I think in February chapter 4 was, I think
in June. So that was like chard much.
Are we looking for though? Yeah, that's like wonder what is
(01:16:34):
I forgot all about that. Plot point and everything.
Yeah, but I can understand why you would.
It's not really touched on much in three.
I recall chapter 3. Or if it is, I don't remember.
I don't remember it being like, no.
It's at the beginning of chapter, never mind.
Is that the beginning of chapter3, what do you find out?
(01:16:54):
He liked destroy, some air and takes a piece of him because
that's what you're looking for, why?
Yes, in chapter 3. But there is some more time
difference versus US playing, like, in the same part.
Exactly here. So, um, the lucky pain was Ben's
looking for his acts. Yep.
And you meet the Jersey Devil here.
(01:17:15):
Who was just like a scummy, likepain dealer, when he's out of
this form, really awesome designon the Jersey Devil.
It was really good. I liked his design demented.
Demon skeleton dear. Yep.
I love his design. It really cool fight here.
Yeah, you're just messing up theplace.
Yep. And and Woody's their old Woody,
the woods minute laser is anyway.
(01:17:36):
Knocks back out so he's not participating in the fight
initially. Yeah.
But I think he helps it one point in the end, you're
choosing what to slam. Head.
And I'm trying to be like nicer here said, there's like
something that's obviously sharpand then something I think is a
cushion. I go to one of the cushion is
but turns out it's glass. So I'm breaking glass and go in
the glass. So it's face is like, oh, Messed
(01:17:59):
up, but doesn't matter. Anyway, I take part of this
antler and then stab him with it.
Yeah, yep. Like that part they just one
thing you have to do but I was like yeah, this fight this fight
rules so after this is pretty short scene, here you go and
find the codes, ichabod's coat. Did you look through all the
(01:18:20):
pockets? Did you take the money?
I did not take the money. I continued the trend of not
taking the high a continued by trend of taking Money and took
back the magic mirror shot yard.I went Jersey talk.
While I was leaving I think I did, too.
Yep, it's just like a small minor thing, but he's just like,
I'm going to you're no match forthe crooked man.
(01:18:42):
I was hoping for him to like, you know, somebody that's still
something incriminate himself. And I was just writing stuff
that I was just like, I'm not going to let him know what
bothers me. There's a really nice seen here
with what he he he trashes your cigarette, penguin huff and
puff. Yeah.
We um, because you give them a, I chose to give him a.
(01:19:03):
Did he ask for a cigarette, right?
Yeah, and I'd yeah. someone I get very basic who asked for one
same, but Yeah, just really nicescene where he's like, hey yeah,
just go and go and find this guygoing make things, right?
Yeah, it was it was a good scene.
It was like, they kind of made like, it was clear that they
were not friends, but they were like he does get his axe back.
(01:19:24):
And he just said, one thing is like, for a second.
I didn't know who I was going toswing this at.
Yeah, probably like. That was funny.
Back at the business office Bluebeard and towed or yelling,
it's no. So then you find out that
buffing talks about bloody mirror and Bloody Mary.
And the mirror have like a complicated history so I can
want with pumpkin first. He was looking, he is working on
(01:19:46):
the mirror and he said, oh, it doesn't like being spied on
because like, oh, he doesn't like being spied on.
It's like, oh, he's a little shywhen you try to put them back
together, it's like pulling out the hypocrisy there.
Yep, I did that, too. I think I did that first.
It's no sends you to toad. Yeah.
Cuz she's like, hey, we have no,we have no money to give him to
(01:20:09):
buy glamour. So you need so you just need to
let him down easy and tell him. He's not getting it clamored.
How this conversation play out for you.
I said I know down the toad I was like I'm not gonna, I'm Not
Gonna Let You Go to The Forum, buddy.
Oh no. Yeah.
And that made it all the worse at the end.
(01:20:30):
I gave him cranes, money. Oh my glamorous know, I could
have got no. Wait, it's not gonna be as good
as you think. I gave him.
The money is like, hey, but it was like listen to me.
You're gonna buy glamour with this.
You are going to buy glamour with this.
You were going to get glamoured up and if I see you and you're
(01:20:51):
not glamoured, you're going to the farm, do we?
Have a deal to his like, that's a good deal than takes the money
and is he, he has his hands in his pockets of whistling only
jovially leave. That was what he did when I told
him and then Snow White just glamorous.
Yeah. She's like you told him that
you're giving money. I was like, not my money.
I've said is, I said, don't worry, it's going to work itself
(01:21:15):
out, that was okay. Big be did say that.
But y'all she said what did you tell him?
I said, I told him that we do. We'll deal with this later.
Yeah. Yes, I gave money is good.
I don't think I did that last time because I don't think I
took the money or found that money was like, yeah, it's gonna
go great. Right.
Right. Right.
So you get on the mirror. I play ball this time with the
(01:21:36):
mirror, like doing the I do too. You're a weird little light
mirrors. They're flying crane to Paris.
Yeah. Yeah, you saw that.
So we don't seek re and again, for the rest of these chapters
await, you picked crane to fightto look for train.
Yeah, I don't remember that. So that's for Crane went.
(01:21:58):
Yeah, he got they got it. Got Bloody Marys intimidating,
him and saying you're going to Paris and then she tried and
then because it Bloody Mary's there and she's like there's a
really cool scene here but she'slike, Someone's watching us.
Yeah, this he turns and tries toreach through the mirror and
(01:22:18):
then the mirror stops thinking. Oh, I hate that.
I hate it when she does that. Okay, no, I do remember that my
brain completely forgot about that because at the end of the
tsar's crane essential weird, like five second thing is like,
you're going to Paris, you're gonna lay low.
She's like, she says a fun line here says, like, please mess
(01:22:39):
this up, so, I let you down, so I can Yeah.
She's like, please, please. Screw this up.
But you know yeah we got information from Jersey.
That the door to the Crooked man's operation.
It moves, it moves goes to different places.
Yeah. Frane was using the door, the
(01:23:01):
mirror to find the location of the door.
That's how he was able to find it.
Yes, the door moves the central talk to park and snow asks you
to bring him back alive. Hmm.
Do you agree to that? I do abs.
I Pol II like yes, we'll do that. and I remember agreeing to
that, So I get a scene of him running towards the running
(01:23:23):
towards the door and central part we go in and Tiny Tim.
This is the guardian of the door.
Yeah, I've got about this whole thing here.
I was like, oh, hey buddy, what are you doing here?
Like a more recent Fable. Did you read any of the Like,
Fable Town entries that you wantto walk as you go through the
game hoot? I read all the ones for chapters
1 2 & 3, but I didn't read the last two chapter.
(01:23:45):
So there's something interestingabout Tiny Tim, where Tim is,
They say that a fables health isdependent on how well he's known
how? Well the Fable is known.
Typically, the more well-known afable is like the more well off
they are. That's why the more popular
fables was low and good wise because right?
(01:24:08):
Well and good people. They said Tiny.
They said Tiny Tim seems to be exception because his ailment is
a part of the story so they recognize so the Mondays no his
ailment. So the is projected onto Him.
Yeah, so it will never get better because we recognize who
he is in the store, even though at the end of the story, he's
(01:24:29):
like doing better. But I do that because I guess he
has that. It's our knowledge of the
characters that shapes the characters.
Yeah, which is a fascinating concept.
It is. So, yeah, baby was the door
tight. Tim, is there, he calls him Tim,
and he's like, hey, I appreciatethat.
You didn't call me Tiny Tim, So he leads big key to his boss.
(01:24:54):
Do you wait for Tim? I wait for Tim.
It's like I'm gonna get in trouble.
If he doesn't see me, show you when I let him open the door to
he's a nice tight him. Yeah, I didn't want to be mean
to Tiny. Tim always be nice to Tiny Tim.
I've seen enough version of The Christmas Carol.
That made me cry that I'm like, I'm gonna protect you, but you
don't worry, you're gonna be okay.
Yeah. Everyone is here.
(01:25:16):
All the villains are here. Yeah.
Alan, I remember this crooked man.
Really cool. Look, like a messed-up I yeah
suit in like change necklace. He like have a seat.
We have so much to discuss. He's very professional.
What do you say? I say?
All right, let's talk or basically, you're trying to
(01:25:38):
talk. See you are forty.
One percent who tried to who, You're one, 40%, 40%.
Who wanted to talk to them? I was, I had did something that
wasn't on this list. I had here today.
Take a picture of it. No, I did not.
(01:25:59):
I put it in a cigarette. Let it as soon as I lit the
cigarette cut to Black. Oh, it was so bad.
Just like, because biggest looksat the room of everybody around
him, just cigarette I thought was a good, the mattock moment
because everyone's bashing his cigarette choices.
(01:26:21):
His cigarette brands, I think, first time it was late, I don't
care. You're coming with me and then
white cigarette which was also really cool.
Is it yours by like The Silent? One Big be two sizes up the room
realize He's going to be here awhile because he might not make
us out there alive. So just one last cigarette, cut
the black. Yeah, but did you guys figure
(01:26:41):
out like okay, well I did mine ended with a cigarette lighting
but such a good like moment. There it was amazing.
Cliffhanger here. Then episode 5 Cry Wolf, the
final episode of The Wolf Among Us.
We there's no code up and it goes right to credits here.
(01:27:03):
Just that. Yeah, like it.
It's like we're gonna keep moving.
We're not going to take a break here.
We're going to, we're going to get started.
And we're going to keep going through this entire chapter.
This is the most action heavy chapter of the entire game
because it feels like all your decisions.
Kind of melted up is going to play a part later on in the
climax of this game, which I think is really Really, really,
really well done. It's cookie man's office.
(01:27:27):
T straight-up asks you like saysoh yeah the killer like does it
matter? And you can say as big baby,
I've already figured it out or tell me who did it.
What did you say? I said, tell me.
Who did it. Oh, I got it wrong.
I was like, I know who did it and you get a choice on with
Bloody Mary. Wait, no, you idiot everyone.
(01:27:48):
Everyone got Snickers is like itwas Georgie.
It was Georgie and what pissed me off.
So much. So okay we now know we know why
Georgie did it now all. That's all been said and done.
Yeah even with that knowledge. It pissed me off how Georgie
acted about it. Hmm.
He was like yeah I killed her. Who killed?
(01:28:10):
I don't? What, what of it.
I don't care. And I get why he acted that way
but he sucks. Hey George.
Yeah, I guess that's the point when I know we're not quite
there yet, but let's just say I let him suffer.
I also did and I was like, yeah,we're just gonna yeah, I'm
better than you. We yeah.
(01:28:30):
We learned that that's probably the more close option, but I did
it before. That was probably the coldest.
It felt good, it's all good. He's like we would do It's not
very corporate here. Quick - like, we will deal with
this matter. Internally, this is an internal
issue. He was very professional.
Well-spoken, Pittsford stable down that you enjoyed your
little Club here. That runs everything.
(01:28:52):
So I try to take both of them inand then cookie man says, it was
a wide mediate when you can justdecide.
Yeah, there's a mirror in the corner of the room says Bloody
Mary. You just appear at any time.
Yeah she just walks and walks onin.
So Data. So a fight breaks out here.
(01:29:12):
So you're trying to take them ineverybody's like saying there's
no one to cook it man ago but I just go with him Georgie like
just give herself up there trying to throwing him.
He says under the carriage yeah Zone under the carriage to like
say themselves like that it justtaken down, the people will see
that they did a murder. Every you caught the murderer,
everything goes about. According to plan from here on
(01:29:35):
out, nothing changes. I'm still in charge, do get your
person. Fable towns, happy, I'm happy.
Everything could go about their business, but big B's, like
screw that. I'm taking you both in and fight
breaks out where everyone is kind of nerfed here.
You can kind of deal with everybody and just a few punches
(01:29:55):
and a few of the Rosier but it has to be.
Yeah. Otherwise, you're just vastly
under. What do you marry takes Crooked,
Man and pieces out. Yep.
Into the, like, The Factory's hyper area.
What's it called? Well there's like a portal
surround the area because you'relike an area separated from
everything else. So once you like break a window
(01:30:15):
you can kind of Escape into there but you fight everybody do
you hit the devil wise now and Idecided not to do that.
Because there's a moment where you throw the devil, the Jersey
Devil of your shoulder and you pin him down, you just keep
punching them. I think I stopped.
I don't think or do know you canstall bottom because I remember,
I did that before at, when I wasinterrogating him at the lucky
(01:30:39):
Pond, I like stomped on togetherto talk.
So I was like, I'm not gonna do that again here, because if he
is suevi, it's a whole remember that.
So, I decide not to do it a second time.
I can't remember, I might have stomped on in the video.
This is it's right. There's a prompt.
Yeah, yeah, right trigger. Or so it's so enticing so
enticing. They're having all these fools
(01:31:01):
chased or Georgie down. He goes into like the void and
there's a really fun chasing do it.
Yeah, cool car. Chase sequence when you were,
you don't are not in the car or you're literally or chasing the
car. There's a new like art, like the
same form of the big bad wolf. We saw in part 3.
Yeah. Well, you're running down which
has me whole thinking. I was like, are we sewing table
(01:31:21):
town and he's Monday suits, watching us?
Yes, this whole thing. I was thinking too, there's a
bit where you jump over the bridge and there's a bit where
you can choose a car or a limousine.
Did you pick the car? I picked the car because I
enjoyed oven and then though theCrooked Man, Herr commandant and
pulls up his window. I'm like, I don't know if that
would have changed. I don't think that would have
changed anything. I don't think so either because
(01:31:42):
it just the way we kind of see how it would have.
Yeah, because the way this has to play out.
But that's a cool moment where you're like for a second.
Oh my God. Yeah, it's like, oh, so you
chase them down. You turn back into To your human
form in walk in the club, George, he's dying.
He stole, he spills it here. He spills his guts.
(01:32:02):
Yeah, well, well, spill literally, yeah.
Well luckily, his good faith in a lily wanted to run.
Georgie was given the order to take care of it.
When the girl with the ribbon, Iforgot was a part of the story.
So remember last time I talked about how the girl with the
ribbon story where girl takes off her ribbon in her head falls
off. Yep.
And I was like she's every part of the story that forgotten the
back burner. I forgot this was actually the
(01:32:24):
thing here. Yes.
What happened guys? Like I did the same thing.
I did last time when I was like,it's Definitely time to the
story and then, like, Doug the donkey skin stuff.
I'm like, well, I guess not and I was like, oh I'm Vindicated
story. I was right.
Yes. Did the same thing again here?
I was like, oh no, I hope I didn't spoil it for job or I
imagine I gave you, maybe it helped because I give you
(01:32:45):
context for what that story was it didn't spoil anything.
Okay, that's good. See ya Vivian was the original
so she just tried to remit what happened here.
She removed the ribbon to break the spell killing her.
She killed herself. Yeah, sadly.
But it removed the it removed sothat in effect removed the curse
(01:33:06):
from nerissa, right? Yes, actually, that was okay.
I thought that that was what that was all for.
I just wanted to make sure George, he's bleeding out and
tells you that the Crooked Man is probably at Shepherds.
Metalworks, I left him to die. I walked out what you can Can
say something I walked out without I am.
Were there were no Sailors you go up, just turn off the light
(01:33:27):
and the way out you said you loved it so much so cold.
Yeah, we are. I think we're in the minority
here. I don't know why.
Because yeah, I do not know why George.
Yeah, just let 77037 Jersey 30%.Let him suffer.
(01:33:47):
We're just cold apparently, maybe or maybe their logic was
they wanted to be the one. To do it.
You know. Maybe I'm just like it.
Maybe it wasn't like a mercy thing that I wanted to be like
it wasn't I wasn't Mercy. Ya know.
I was like, I'm better than you like you're not like I was like
you're not who I'm after, you'renot worth it.
You led me on this whole thing. You killed people, but you're
(01:34:10):
still nothing to me. I want to be like, I don't care
about you. Yeah.
Like, he's screaming at me. I don't say anything going.
Like, I don't care here. You're nothing to me.
Is that died on the floor of your Club?
You say go? Yeah, we do take his advice
though and we do go to her, he believes the Crooked Man, the be
(01:34:30):
and you break the lock to get in.
He goes like, of course. This one bit, that's really
short. But yeah, you just, you just
break the line to get in. Yep, so you find out, this is
where the boxes have been going photo.
There's photos of snow, big beat, and faith on like a big
like bulletin board thing. Here you here.
Bloody Speaking to you as you'retraveling throughout the
(01:34:53):
building, really cool monologue. Here is like we've heard stories
of the big bad wolf. Yeah, it's really cool.
Monologue. It is, you see a silver bullet
station here, Yaris being, like, kind of Smith, stir around.
Mary has the gun on you cooking man's like, is this, like, do
(01:35:13):
was come see me when you're done?
Come see movie. You're done.
Dear anyway. She makes a crack at the big bad
Wolf's mother. Remember that?
He's like your mom was like would just give it to any North
to any wind that passes by. Oh is it?
But because if you read the description big B's mom hit big
(01:35:36):
B's. Dad is The North Wind.
Oh, so oh yeah. Something you've wanted to know
unless you like retread that thing, but it was such a cool
like because then you get that and you see, like, The
navigation is like you know I have a new favorite injury so
it's one of those things that like you wouldn't have got until
(01:35:57):
after you read it which if I would have forgotten that line
anyway. I think I did forget it because
but because I read all that stuff prior because I had it all
on locked after my first playthrough.
I was reading through it again and let's all the north wind I
was like, oh, that's sense is tosomething that happens later.
I wish you may have like a pointof it like later.
He's like, yeah, my dad's win. Don't worry about it.
Yeah, which is how he gets his ability to muffin top and
(01:36:19):
puffing. The house is down.
Yeah, exactly. It's awesome.
That's a really cool touch. I like that.
Mmm, so we got our fight here, pretty cool.
I like this fight sequence. Real tense killer ending.
We get bit. Bloody Marys transformation
where you prove few breaks off, a whole bunch of different
stuff. And it's let's talk about where
I wish her design was a little bit cooler.
(01:36:41):
Just, I would like to see like There's just a bunch of her like
imagine if like she made a mirror of herself, it all the
Mary's would flights just like crawl out of her.
Oh there's like just a bunch of like infinite.
Mary's like coming through the shadow parts of the mirror.
I thought immediately of that scene in Doctor Strange
Multiverse of Madness for Wanda's just like using the
(01:37:03):
mirrors. Yeah so like reach out of I was
like that is a real But he marries a cool character, I wish
they did more with her design. Yeah, there could have been a
really cool like this scary visual imagine Bloody Mary
standing there and obviously yousee like Co our hands reach out
of her chest and crawl out of her chest.
(01:37:23):
Wouldn't that be cool? That was something I thought up
that would ban will be there. Could've been some cool buddy
married really cool fight. You turn into the actual big,
bad wolf that. Yeah, big wolf, the final form.
He said, I'm gonna say it because it was a good Boy, he
doesn't like this is. The less scary.
Looks less threatening he's lessthreatening than big be.
(01:37:44):
Yep. But he's in the other thing.
Yeah, kind of. If you like, okay, he's all go
have a smaller. He would have absolutely been
there. He's a good boy.
A good boy, go, fetch and fetch. He did, he fetched a mini had,
Bloody Mary clones. Really cool.
Like, there's a bit where ones on your back and just tip over
and like, like a horse. Just fall on your back.
(01:38:07):
Yep, slam. And but the final charge where
she's doing like the, the two knives that you and you aim your
bite and you just break her in half.
Yep. Yeah really, really great by
saying and the blend the huffingand puffing part was great.
I like that. Yes.
Charging me are so bro, you coollike tents fight?
(01:38:28):
It reminds me of the fight a lotstorm.
A references here who has the fight in the steel meal from
Terminator 2? Was one thing that came to my
especially when you're like going through the narrow area
and she's just like Scratching you from the sides?
Yeah, yeah, what--right. Remind me of just like the T1000
white. Just stabbing Arnold in random
places. So you go to his little alcove
(01:38:54):
or he's like watching the thing play out.
He points the gun at you and this is where all my choices,
all of a sudden became Spanish. Yeah, you sent me you send me a
picture of that knows. Yeah, what does like nothing
some you beat the game is like okay, I can send you the
screenshot, all my choices became Spanish here to end of
the game or just till the end ofthis.
I really love. I was able to reload.
(01:39:15):
Okay, thank God, but that's a weird glitch.
Let me see. See the choices here when it
comes to this very important seen my choices become poor,
cookware Essa to got me a Hora or no, cigar Vivo Y, what again,
(01:39:38):
what does he picked one? And then all the characters just
started speaking in Spanish fromthe resident.
Know, because, like the subtitlethere, the subtitle there was
English, it's so weird is happening.
That's so weird. Range weather, like where it was
like code. Like it became like binary for a
minute, then for one choice, andit was fine.
What, what, what the hell happened here?
(01:39:59):
Very weird, but all I get, we'reI reload this, a then played the
section again and then it was fine, except for this one scene.
The will you cook it? You decide to take Crooked Man
in. That was a German, why they're
crooked Met? Look what her crooked like,
(01:40:19):
what? See ya.
So in this scene you can decide to take the quick man in or you
can just keep going and just push them off of that because
he's just backing up just slowlyback it up.
Yep. You take a man, right?
I take a minute. I promise.
No, I would take a Min. So I took him in.
That's like the majority option here, but that you can do, it is
(01:40:40):
cool. It makes me wonder how that
whole lendable. I looked it up.
And apparently, it's just like the trial plays out except like
he's not here to defend himself, there's like way you killed him.
Now we don't have evidence. So everyone's mad at you for it.
Yeah, you can kind of bide, yourtime until nervously comes in
who's like hey got him and Aiko. That's it was it that that
explains so it doesn't change too much but you do have the
(01:41:02):
option I guess the bad ending toleave.
Whether yelling at you before, nerissa comes in and cleans the
air. So that's like the quote
unquote, the were standing in this game.
Is you kill him? And then we before, nerissa,
can't explain it. So everything's fine you saved
the day, but nerissa, just everyone hates you.
Everyone hates you and not in, there's still no trust for the,
which is not like for the Bianca's.
(01:41:23):
Yeah. So it's just like a, the
Situation is different the same but the context for the choices
are different. And that's why I think the
biggest disappointment for me, why is it the end?
Like there's not a lot of, like tangible physical things for
fully different about the city, these endings.
Yeah. Yeah. 90% broaden The Crooked,
(01:41:45):
Man. Oh, ding.
Okay. So yeah.
I d-- 10. Yep.
Imagine the 10% are people just going back to see what the other
endings like? Yeah, probably.
So then we got like the scene itself even though I am
disappointed that there's not more Blaze to play it out, I
love the trial. Yeah, it's very well to go back
and forth a lot so neat. there'sa thing in Telltale Games and
(01:42:11):
like a lot of these games where your Your be the character who
put who puts a mirror back at you.
And say, these are the decisionsyou made a nice or how they
affected, not just you. But the people around you, this
is the one, I think, this one doesn't the best.
The trial here is very similar to, I seen the scene compared to
a trial in a game called Chrono Trigger.
(01:42:33):
Ah, Have you heard of that game?Or I like the game not played,
there's a bit near the beginningwhere you're running around like
the town and doing just RPG stuff like opening chests, like
going into people's homes doing stuff and you can't or you
cannot and there's a bit later in the game where you're on
trial and different curves look like he came to my home and
(01:42:55):
brought my stuff. Oh, oh, shoot.
And then there's a way to avoid it.
I think the story like plays outin different ways and there's a
beginning but you get through Owning I got thrown in jail
because I kept stealing people'sjust play like an RPG.
They got punished for, I like that as a great.
So that's what this reminds people of white, bringing your
decisions back to you and how itaffects other characters.
(01:43:17):
So, Snow White gives them a fairtrial.
And basically, I step because I step in as like, no, we're
going, we're going to do this, we're going to play it out
because we have to be. We're going to try From This
Moment On to be a civilized society not divided by fear but
/. Brought together by like laws
and custom order and we vote live work and we vote.
(01:43:43):
Yeah, but I do the same. Every choice comes into play
here. So there's the Crooked man's
like speech. Again, as you said, there's like
a lot of back and forth here. Yeah, some characters change
their opinions a couple times back.
It's like well, there's a point here where the agreement is
like, what is this town? Everybody.
Usually agree with. McDowell he off, they offered me
(01:44:04):
a job. It was like, but before that any
and you're like, well, nothing was like, well, he did.
What did she? What did she do?
Is like she wanted to burn my tree.
Yeah. Versus the whole day Bert.
My tree that. Would it play out?
So again, there's still it railroads you into a lot of the
same things, like the plays. Like, well, we were going to
(01:44:26):
burn the tree. Even those like that wasn't my
choice. Exactly.
If I destroyed the trade, that would have been my choice but
the fact that like they were getting mad at stuff, The
problem with some of these gamesis when they get mad at you for
making a choice that wasn't yours to make.
Yeah. Yeah.
Which they have to do in a game like this in order to keep like
the scope kind of small because if you do Branch out in every
(01:44:47):
direction, all of a sudden, If Ihave a split in the game that
doesn't come back around I made two I'm making two games.
Yeah the only one of the only games I've seen like do that is
like The Witcher franchise in the winter to the games, like
Branch off, they kind of come back around to the end but
mostly it's kept separate from like the chapter one onward from
(01:45:12):
the end of that. I won't spoil what happens here,
but it's like really cool. The branching path there.
You're going to the similar location.
But the people you're with and the storylines are doing are
very different, but that's really cool.
But yes, it's a trial here. He's going over basically all
your major decisions and being like, well, you did this, you
kind of been running things and everything.
(01:45:33):
I've been trying to make it mostly comes down to the fact
that crooked man's like, I've been trying to make people's
lives better. There's been trying to come
through you and that's why they've gone to me, and Notice
it comes in and she can talk to herself.
Can talk for herself because Vivian killed herself.
Yeah. To finally speak the truth.
(01:45:53):
So you have the choice to decidetwice because you're all decide
is like, well, we're going to bea democracy.
We're going to vote on what the punishments going to be, but
they vote to have. You make the final decision?
They do because you're the main character, that's what happens.
Yeah, you have the choice to make you have the option to make
a choice. But as soon as you click the
(01:46:14):
button, Crooked man comes up, puts you in a Stranglehold.
You have it starts walking you towards the well.
So you have the, uh, then big bebest him.
Turns around, grabs them, hoes them over the.
Well, what do you do? I don't drop him in the.
Well, I don't drop in the well, I am prison in time.
Yes. A because like we have like we
got a way to imprison him like that scene with magic.
(01:46:35):
So I was like that seems to be like the just way of doing this.
We're going to show that by doing this, we're going to show
that like we are. A merciful government that will
light try to shield and protect you.
We're not going to be vicious. We're not going to but there's
consequences for Crime, so thereis consequences for crimes but
it is tempting because you hold in their sick, all I have to do
is hit this button. All you have to do is just it
(01:46:56):
was very tempting to my grip just a little bit.
Just go like I was gonna save you but and then there you go
down the well but no, it was switching.
Well it was very tempting but I did not.
Yeah, I did not. Do I pulled him back and we Even
him, I love this scene. It's so well done in frames
(01:47:17):
everything you did and I can eatlight so that's the end of the
mystery there. Talk about what nerissa really
does. She comes in and white frames
the conversation that because it's interesting cuz she points
out a kind of a lie here. Where she says she sees this.
Correct me if I'm wrong to see chec, here's the Crooked Man.
(01:47:39):
Give the order to Georgie or that he was the one who killed.
She heard him give the or she heard him give the order.
That's what I remember Heroes. Gosh you even though she doesn't
she just knows that Georgie saidthat the Crooked Man did it.
She made the link a lot more. Clear.
Yes. And what was that?
She filled in the missing link, with a lie that we would have,
(01:48:00):
which makes you feel better about imprisoning him versus in
him. Yes.
Exactly. Because you're like, you're,
you're obviously guilty. But the level of gilts maybe
shifts with that, missing piece of evidence.
So, the Crooked Man is a bird. He turns into a little.
Rip LEL Raven in a cage is like that's it.
I like that lady. Green Wave was like, I'm going.
(01:48:25):
He seems to like to use his tongue, so I made sure he can't
use it anymore. Oh, so like big B's off the
business office. Busy.
Yep. Call it as walking around with a
six-pack of beer. Yep, kids.
So yeah, I'm like, what are you doing?
Exactly big piece. Like, you're gonna get caught
and then columns, like what? You didn't even say anything
here, there's something that didn't change for me, Toad and
(01:48:47):
TJ are off to the farm. Yeah, I'd like toad, I gave you
money for glamour. He but here's the thing towed
says to me, he was like I try toget snow the money but she
wouldn't have given me the glamour.
Toad has been lying to me a lot where I don't trust him.
I was like why, what if you had the money?
(01:49:09):
Why wouldn't she even if it was cranes?
Money cranes out of town. He's in Paris.
Now, why wouldn't you just take the money?
Why wouldn't she just take the money to give you like glamour
to keep you to stay around for abit longer?
That didn't sit with me. I was like yeah, nah you.
So you lost some money or did something stupid with it towed.
I don't trust you and that tracks but for me it was a
(01:49:29):
situation where I didn't even have any money to give them.
So it was just an unfortunate seen of me.
Watching him get taken and I could, I gotta promise.
I'll save you. Whoops and that was what I saw.
That's why I've had no sympathy for him was like a gave you an
out just because you're like student.
Give me money. I was like 10.
I helped you now my problem I would have had a lot less
sympathy for toad, if I had beenable to help him because it's
(01:49:52):
also that was when I met frog hat man, who I'd never seen
before, I was like, who are you?I guess you're gonna fly
catcher. So he has a job.
So he has a job there. Is he working the inside or the
outside? He was the one who was taken to
the farm. Oh, that's right.
Yeah, that's because he's everything.
So, yeah, so he just get a job eventually.
Yeah, I guess they eventually find it working like the
(01:50:14):
tweedles and Go. Yeah, look at this Natalie.
This nice frog hat, man. It seems.
All right. Didn't owed on the way it goes.
Hey Big B house (01:50:22):
yeah.
Like look at him.
I smoke a cigarette. Don't say a word.
Yeah, that was that probably cause I was like, I gave you an
out for me that was seen was a lot colder.
I gave you an out? Yeah.
So I'm just like, you know what?I don't care.
(01:50:43):
Yeah, I wouldn't have anything. Empathy for toad.
If I don't trust, I don't trust the police.
No, I didn't take the money. I was like, if you came to me
with. So, like, what?
Because look, he has the money. Just give them the glamour.
I was like, some, there's a missing piece here too.
It's a even if he was telling the truth I wouldn't have
trusted him in this moment. This was the most undivided Civ
choice that I saw according to like the statistics.
(01:51:04):
But I so I'm going to assume youlet TJ give you the gift to you
by the witness but no one else because that was like I think it
was like literally two percent of people didn't take the game
on. Monsters.
Yeah, which those and those and those had to be nice.
It was worse. 98.5, 21.5 percent.
Oh my God, those people had to be the ones who were just like
trying to see them. What would happen?
(01:51:25):
Yeah. Even then I wouldn't do it, no,
because it's like, I don't want to see how TJ reacted would not
have wanted to see that. Well, okay.
Oh, oh, okay, you're nice to himbecause toad because toads,
like, it's going to be terrible and then you're like, hey,
there's a nice pain free to swimaround it.
Yeah, hide from the new diesel. You don't have to hide.
Money's anymore. You can go swimming wherever you
(01:51:46):
want this at. There's they said, they're the
big monsters are gonna eat me aslike, do you do guess you're
going to be safe for their? Because you can, you can, bu you
can walk around by yourself. It's safer there.
You'll get towed and say like, yeah, stop messing with the kid
trying to make him afraid of this place.
I hate toad. That is game.
Like, I gave you an out. I definitely like him, unless I
have no trust for. I have no trust for.
(01:52:09):
I thought he was funny. I thought he was my boy earlier
in the game, but now I don't really like him either.
So, Larissa had physical nurses here.
Yes, like waves, you over in, ithas an umbrella nerissa had
physical evidence of corruption. She went to Georgie with
evidence to protect her friend. She kind of walks you through.
(01:52:30):
Now, her truth, her side of the story so that physical evidence
on Jordan, On the Crooked Man isCorruptions but they went to
Georgie and that's when they're like they have it.
That's when crooked man. Put out the hit, but she didn't
hear this. So but Faith was killed.
So nerissa was the one who left face.
(01:52:52):
Head on the doorstep to kick. Start this investigation and
says, People Like Us get forgotten, we suffer in silence.
So she's the one who put the head.
There you start. This whole investigation.
She was a reason. We were able to solve it to make
sense, we think that's the one missing link.
Then she she turns around. What do you say what you're
(01:53:12):
saying here? The Lander is say your last
probably worse. The final decision is tracked.
The last the last true ones not trapped.
Hmm. My final track decision.
The final words, I say to her I hope I've done some good here.
Yep. Yeah.
Majority 55 percent versus I made a lot of mistakes and none
of it matters in the end or justremain.
(01:53:34):
Silent is 2%. This is great.
Don't, they'll be me numerous, it's okay.
I would not be mean in erisa, but then she walks away.
Then turns back and says you're not as bad as everyone says you
are it's big piece like, huh? Then thinks of it.
That's very familiar. Then the pieces start to come
together and you have the choiceto come back to her.
(01:53:57):
The end of the game, The Last Choice.
Do you run up to her or do you let it go?
I turn into a professional runner.
At that point I run right to her.
I let her go. Oh, I'm like this.
This is done. We got a guy in need.
It doesn't matter how I got there at this point.
We did it. That's how it is better off for
(01:54:17):
It. Whatever secret she has.
Those are hers to keep honks. Leaf Fair.
It was just in the moment. I was like, whoa.
So there's there's two splits here on what they think it
means. Means either you think because
the interpretation is, she says a line that they said?
Yes. So we will apply at that moment.
(01:54:38):
Do you think? Fit in when we met Faith.
Do you think that was actually nerissa or do you think that it
was nerissa's head? We found in erisa was dead and
faith has been doing us on this investigation this whole time.
So, or what did you think happened here?
I think out of those two options, I considered both of
(01:55:01):
those possibilities of those two.
I think that it's more likely that nerissa was glamorous face.
That's, that's where I'm thinking, because they examined
faith. And I remember when we were
examining a lily, her body shifted back into her troll form
(01:55:22):
because of the, but we heard, asI was, the black market glamour
that the track is possible. She got a good glamour though.
Oh, okay. But one thing that has a, that's
something I think. Both one thing that has me
leading to the fact that it was Faith, that died is no one.
Makes a that nerissa died but she made it seem like it was
(01:55:44):
Faith because Georgie had to do something with the bodies.
So I'm like Georgie knows who hekilled or maybe he just doesn't
know who he kills babies. That scummy of a person.
Yeah. But he also mentions that like I
think he said he threw their body in the river or something.
Yeah. But if they were in be able to
investigate the body, then there's like a missing link
(01:56:06):
there and less some nerissa got notice that being The Little
Mermaid, maybe it was able to swim down there, get the body
and get out there. That's my point.
Like I think there's more evidence leading to the fact
that Faith was nerissa versus nerissa.
Nerissa was face leading the investigation.
I think it was nerissa again. She's like, we suffer in
(01:56:27):
silence. She was doing everything she can
to bring everything back like inLife.
So pretending to be a dead girl while to reveal that the girl
was dead to reveal that the girlwas dead.
Not just because it'd be like, who's this?
Yeah. So give big be a connection to
this person. Yes, made this a personal case
(01:56:49):
because I feel like nerissa would do that because she would
be worried that they wouldn't care otherwise because of the
broken system. Yes.
Because no one could get anything unless they have like
personal ties to stuff or money money involved.
Volved. So it was a way of like, opening
the door to realize there's a, there's an underworld to What's
Happening Here. And we need big be to help us
(01:57:13):
white top topple, the Crooked Man.
But see that's the end of this game.
Yeah, so you right after faith, I let her go higher nerissa, I
let it go. Will I don't think this decision
will? Come up again, or if it does is
(01:57:34):
probably like a brief thing but I don't think they'll give the
answer. No, I think that it's a
situation. I think where they want it to be
like you, whatever you think it is, might be what it is, you
know, I don't think I want to give a definitive answer.
I like too much into the evidence for the faith being
arrested, actually being Faith thing but I'm like, yeah, if you
(01:57:55):
want to believe that, that doesn't The story still the same
is someone doing an investigation leading the
investigation, who's one step ahead of us, helping us guide us
through the story. But I think this is a great
game. I think that would make the
ending even more poetic because Marissa, is the one who gives
(01:58:15):
the final piece of evidence to to lock the case.
Yeah. And if she's the one who gave us
the first piece of evidence, she's one to give us the last
piece of evidence. Yeah.
So I kinda that's my personal. Hey A cannon.
That's what I think is the is what the situation was.
This is a great game, this is a great Noir story.
I do wish there was more openness to the story and not
(01:58:37):
like as many ways to like come back in.
Otherwise I feel like I'd be more open to playing this more
than I had. Yeah, but coming back after 10
years. I'm not too mad that there's
only like really one way. This story plays out with a
couple caveats here and there, okay, because the story is good.
Yeah, the story is really good, it's a great world.
(01:59:00):
Great characters, I've invested in everything happening.
Yes, I'll so it pays really well.
There's not a moment in this game where I wish it wrapped up
or that it moved on every scene was just as long as it needed to
be nothing dragged and these chapters were all like Felt
substantial enough for the most part.
Chapter 2 is a little bit short.Yeah.
(01:59:22):
Yeah. They felt substantial enough.
But again, didn't drag on. Yeah, I didn't have any moments
where I was like, this is just taking too long big.
I could sit down for like, an episode of a TV show.
It feels like the, I liked the first couple seasons of
Sherlock. Those were an hour and a half,
like detective stories, each episode felt like an hour and a
(01:59:43):
half to two hours. Detective story with a
cliffhanger, you like See you next week.
It's why I love games like Alan Wake games that are made to be
played in like bite-sized chunkslike this.
And then give you a previously on like it adapts the TV show
experience to video games and this was a great one of those.
(02:00:07):
And I really want a sequel that the seat.
Every want to play the sequel ofthis.
I'm excited to see what they do.Yeah.
I'm excited to see if it's like a direct sequel this and it
still takes place, but before the books if they're takes place
like during the time of the book's we'll have to see.
But overall I'm positive on thisgame.
Yeah. Like very positive.
(02:00:28):
I really, really like this game.I don't know if I loved it as
much as I did. What I played it but that's
fine. Yeah, I still I still very much
enjoy this game. I enjoyed it as well.
It's probably the second, my second favorite game, where it's
like, a story. Where you're my first favorite
(02:00:49):
being by the straight. Life is strange.
Yeah. But this is my second favorite
in terms of that genre, that seems to be like, the, for what
I've seen a most people say it'sone of three for those stories,
for those types of games, he's either like the more modern day
adventure. Sure.
The choice space adventure games.
Yeah, it's either like the firstseason of The Walking Dead,
(02:01:10):
which is also really good. Hmm.
The Wolf Among Us or life is strange?
Yeah, life is strange, is I get my personal favorite?
I love that game and a great game.
It hides. It seems a little bit better
too. Yes.
Where it makes you feel like, even though you do come back to
it and it ties the fact that youcan't, it always has to end here
(02:01:32):
to the story. Like it's not just like the
story Brewing, you is. Time for L roading.
You like you're competing against like this Unstoppable
Force that's putting you to the point.
It was always going to end here. You know, from the beginning.
It's going to end here. It has to it.
Has to be this way. Yeah.
So I think it it points out its limitations and I think that's
(02:01:57):
smarter versus something here. That makes it seem like you have
more. Yes.
There's more illusion of choice.Here.
I agree for somebody like this range where the The like
illusion of choice actually is apart of the story versus white
something that it tries to get you to ignore.
It makes you think is bigger than it.
Actually is a wolf in sheep's clothing, if you will.
(02:02:19):
But that will be it for Wolf Among Us overall, thought she
really enjoyed the game. I would give it a seven point
five out of ten. Okay, that's it.
The seems low. Oh, well, can I give up trying
to force you? But you're right.
You're right. My scale is a little strange.
(02:02:39):
Maybe eight out of 10 because I did like it it was a great game.
It's one that I would consider playing again at some point.
It's great after you forget everything about it, yes, 10
years. Time come back to it and then if
you like I forgot everything. This game is great.
That's why I ended up. So I end up it makes me
interested to play the sequel. I will say that.
Yeah I'm interested to see what they do with that thing.
(02:03:01):
They showed off the new and the new Telltale this back showed
off a little bit of their of theexpanse of the game based on the
Sci-Fi show and the book series The expanse and it looks pretty
good. I'm excited to see what a
Telltale Game looks. Like 10 years after they all
(02:03:21):
looked basically the same. Yeah, true.
That was, I'll be interesting tosee how that goes.
So, that is it for The Wolf Among Us game club.
Thank you so much for joining usbut as always, when we end one
game club is time to start up another.
So this will be a game that thank you for joining me for
(02:03:44):
this game club John. Yes, absolutely.
I'm going to get another Best oranother couple.
Guess I'm hoping for the next game club here.
Tanner friend of the show. You might know him from the
episode such as our Super Mario. What makes a Super Mario game.
I listen to that one, that one'sreally good and our Eldon ring
(02:04:06):
discussion. Yeah, he'll be joining us for a
game. We've been deciding stuff, so I
never played a game in a Serie, A very popular series called
Mega Man. It was like, we should buy a
Mega, Man. I'm like, is there any like,
sorry, Focus ones that like Meetthe criteria for like, what we
typically do. And so he came up with Mega Man
Battle Network and I'm like, if I'm gonna play a Mega Man game,
(02:04:29):
let's make it a weird Side Story.
I'm very excited for this. So I'm going to delve into like
the prep for this game. Mega Man Battle Network is a
real-time tactics RPG developed by Capcom, Production Studio to.
So, a quick note some of the following info comes from
translated interview so accuracy, Very well.
(02:04:51):
Start this prep with where Mega Man was as a series in the late
1990s. The main wine series had stalled
with Megan and eight on the PS1 and Saturn and an internal state
of several spin-offs both one-off games and full series,
especially in Japan in the late 90s, we got Mega, Man, Battle &
Chase, Mega Man and base super adventure, Rockman Megaman X4,
(02:05:14):
Mega Man, Legends the adventure of trombone Rockman and Forte
all those games. All these games, I listed
release in that window. All spin-off games, not tied to
the main series. I didn't realize, I knew there
were a lot, but dang it, man. In the 90s was very huge for
Capcom that in Resident Evil, were there to cash cows, then
(02:05:35):
they could do no wrong with those one kind of our.
So yeah, it took a lot of come back to that.
Yeah, I get ya. They are again.
Wow, Megaman extremist. Spin-off of the spin-off series.
Mega Man, X Mega Man. Extreme Was being developed for
the Game Boy. Color late in the console's,
Life, Capcom set their sights onNintendo's upcoming portable,
(02:05:57):
the Game Boy Advance, but not for a Mega Man game.
At least not yet. Capcom's, second Production,
Studio began work to have a launch title ready for the GPA.
The team began work on a horror game which would link to a
peripheral to monitor your heartbeat while you play.
Oh shit. This was scrapped as both the
team and the company saw the emergence of two things.
(02:06:19):
One One card games card games are the Rays.
Need to make a card game Yugioh Yugioh.
Welcome and Pokey, man, and the blossoming internet.
So once this new idea started totake shape it was decided that
the Mega Man IP would be used tothe game has ik.
We got a game that's gonna sell and is about like joining up
(02:06:39):
people. Let's listen was test.
What's attached? Her Cash Cow to it.
So inspired by Pokemon because we're approaching the 2000s.
Yeah, The game was given an emphasis on collection, like in
this game earning battleships and it had a tie-in cartoon
series, The Game would be designed from the ground up to
appeal to kids emphasis on head-to-head.
(02:07:00):
Multiplayer the aforementioned cartoon series and an easy to
draw main character and a focus on modern technology because
kids will all about that modern technology.
One thing I thought of that the main character was going to look
more complicated like more like classic Mega Man and like make
it make the soup more Slimmer. This guy be easy.
To draw. We want kids to like draw this
(02:07:21):
on there. Like School notebook in the
middle class whether thinking about this game when it could be
like what's that gonna be like, oh, that's Megaman.
And then they'll because we think about like the designs of
like some like Pokemon the time, they're very simple to draw.
It's just like especially like some of the earlier ones, like
you kid could like draw like a half.
Like a half-hearted Pikachu. If they wanted and he could draw
a Voltorb. It was the ball.
(02:07:42):
Hey, can you drop off? That's a Jigglypuff from the top
down. Yeah.
Oh shoot. I love that episode the gameplay
philosophy as described by scenario writer.
I'm sorry, if I mispronounce this masakazu iguchi, was that
kids were not great action. Kids, that were not great at
(02:08:03):
action. Games could rely on strategy, to
win battles. Capcom composer, as a car.
He kinda made the game's Original Soundtrack.
This was her first game composing independently, so like
it was by herself. She wasn't collaborating with
somebody to make the soundtrack for this game.
All right, the game was announced in Japan in August
2000 and a mongoose book series. The ad in the manga featured,
(02:08:26):
screenshots from four games for the upcoming GBA, including
Battle Network or Rockman .exe in Japan was what this game was
called. Huh?
The game was playable at space World. 2,000 Nintendo fans might
know the name space for old 2000because that was where that
weird Mario demo for the GameCube was Maria one more 128,
(02:08:46):
128. Mario's just wanna scream Why it
was that when they also gave thenot intentionally misleading but
misleading is Zelda clip where it showed Zelda and yeah or link
again into a set. This one to it might have been
like just like a tech demo. It was a tech demo showing the
capabilities of the of the upcoming dolphin which was the
gamekeeper. Look how cool this fight for
(02:09:07):
mockery looks and then two yearslater.
There's winwaker. Yep, I love, winwaker, how I
love that guy. If you hate winwaker, I don't
trust you as a person. It's a great game, but at the
time people were disappointed. By the artist.
I thought, even the time I was like, this looks nice.
I don't know. No, I look, it looks.
It holds up better than the older games do for sure.
It's much prettier today than flight.
(02:09:28):
Twilight, Princess does. It does.
It's just a better art style forthat, like aging.
So as Baseball 2000 to celebratethe upcoming Game.
Boy, Advance don't were 124 T Game Boy Advance system to try
games out on up those 140 systems only to had Megaman
Battle Network. Oh Golden Sun had five, Mario.
(02:09:49):
Hart had 20, you're not going tobe able to guess his but guess
what game had 60. Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire.
No. Oh, Silent Hill.
What? Yes, as I say.
We know that was too early for Ruby and Sapphire shoot that we
see info. There doesn't sour.
I was like, was there a silent hill Game?
Boy game. I didn't know there was, I
(02:10:10):
didn't know. Was it cancer?
I was like that. Can't be maybe those 60 people
played it more, like know the game released in Japan alongside
the system on March twenty first, twenty Twenty-One.
So even after scrapping, the original Horror concept, it was
still a launch title. Capcom released both Mega Man
Battle Network and Street Fighter 2, turbo Revival in the
(02:10:31):
United States on October 31st 2001.
The game received positive scores at lunch critics were
overall positive on the game's combat but were divided on the
story. Some had fun with it While
others thought it was to quote. Kitty in 2009 the game was given
a DS Port titled rock band, exe operate shooting star what that
(02:10:51):
sounds like a Coheed and Cambriaalbum.
Name is Dino. Hear the sounds like a code
name. They didn't give it a real name.
Like a programmer named for a shooting star is pretty badass.
No, I do like it. I don't like it.
Just doesn't sound like a finished naked, it was only
released in Japan. Okay, that makes more sense.
Yeah, but a fan translation, thegame was distributed online in
2018. Whoo, the Game Boy Advance
(02:11:14):
version was finally given a release in April 2000, 23 with
the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection.
You can play this game on GBA Wii U, Nintendo DS.
If you Have a Japanese cartridgePC PS4 and the switch, or really
anything with the screen becauseit's really easy to emulate Game
(02:11:37):
Boy Advance games, but I'm not kidding, heroin.
I'm not saying you could, you should do that.
I'm not condoning that saying that it's very easy to do
because not end those games aren't being sold that way
anymore. I'm not saying that's the way
I'm playing it. I'm not saying I'm not saying
that nobody saying. No one's saying that.
What are you doing here? Sir.
(02:11:58):
So the stopping point for this game will be defeated, we're
going to play along with us, it's on the collection.
If you have a Wii U is on like the Wii U.
I don't know if it's a sought-after game on the GBA,
but PC, it's out on PC. Now, Steam summer sale is coming
up, it might be on there. So, there's a bunch of ways to
play again. If you guys screen and like, 10,
(02:12:22):
Meg's of computer space, you canplay Battle Network.
The stopping point. The stopping point for this game
is we are going to defeat color, man, dot exe.
No. Oh, we're gonna forget to feed
an executable. Oh, okay.
You can execute the executable? Yes, exactly the color, man.
I didn't look I'm not I don't want to say this, but I'm gonna
(02:12:44):
say this in Japan. I did find out because I wanted
a Wiki just to see a breakdown in Japan.
He's named colored man. Oh no, so that channel
translation, so the localizer saw that with Yeah, we're just
going to take some couple letters out of here.
Those guys did good to do that. Yeah, Bob speech has raised me
(02:13:04):
to the localizers for ya boy saying that situation so defeat
color man dot exe and then we'llsee you in two weeks as we
discuss via a remote show me andTanner and possibly we're gonna
see if Nick can come back for this because he's awesome.
He's a battle Network guy, he's gonna see if he has the time to
(02:13:24):
come join us. So that will be there next.
Scheme for the show. And yeah, I'm very excited for
this one. So exciting, this is megaman, is
a series. I have not necessarily avoided,
but just like your pads have notcrossed our path and not
crawling. I played it like a little bit of
them via like different, like classic collections, like, it's
(02:13:46):
on Switched, the Genesis versions of the games are on
switch online. I played a little bit of that
Mega man-like, kind of fighting game on in Street Fighter 6.
Mmm. So, Um, this will be my first
time like playing a Mega Man game to completion and the weird
spin-off series, that seems a little boy, my thing with more
of a tactical RPG. So I'm very fascinated.
(02:14:06):
It's gonna be a lot of fun. I got that ready to go got all
set up to go portably and I'm leaving town for a couple days
this weekend so I'm like yeah noit a portable game like this is
probably gonna be probably go really nicely.
Yeah. Absolutely.
And so that will be our show fortoday.
Stay the save can be Be found. Sorry, I'm really bad.
(02:14:29):

want to tell us? We have bad opinions on games,
okay? You can find this at stay the
same on Tick-Tock, Instagram andTwitter, as long as that
platform stays afloat. As long as I have, this platform
is stays afloat. Yep.
Seems like, it's hard for anything to stay afloat.
(02:14:50):
Especially if you want to screw over the your third party app
developers with up, All of a sudden, charging them for API
usage roof at it. But anyway, thank you for
listening to the show in my fumbling outro.
Thank you. John, once again for joining me,
this time, I hope to have you back at some point for the game
club. Yeah, thank you for having me.
