Lizette Valarino was a government employee when she had an idea of starting a scholarship fund for deserving students in her community. With very little funding and a lot of initiative, she worked with community leaders to create the Hispanic Heritage Scholarship Fund of Metro Orlando.
To date the organization has given more than $1.6 Million to over 300 students. All of this happened because one person thought it was worth the effort. Listen as Lizette shares how she founded the organization and how you don’t need a lot to make a difference in the world.
