I can't believe it, but this is the halfway point, Chris,
of the regular season.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Can you believe that? I didn't think of it that way?

And you know what that means. I have to get
a tease out here for tomorrow show. You know what
that means. Oh my god, this is so exciting.

I could since the midweek.

Excuse me, I blew it. I'm so excited mid season
award time. Oh my god, I cannot wait. But first
we have to take care of business today, and that business.

Is our week nine pound.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
All right, we start with the teams that just didn't
quite make the cut. Our jdq MTCs for Menumber eleven
is the Seattle Seahawks. Number twelve is the Los Angeles Chargers,
and then I gotta be honest with you, it got
really hard. Everybody kind of stinks right now in the NFL,
like no one's doing positive things aside from the teams

that I just listed, and then the teams that are.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
In her top ten.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
But I had the Niners at thirteen they lost. I
have the Steelers at fourteen they've lost too straight. And
I have the Houston Texans at number fifteen because somebody
had to be at number fifteen. Like, seriously, I'm looking
at the bottom of the standings. Everybody's basically coming off
a loss, that's what.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
But I'm not.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Putting the Jets or the Ravens up there. They're rare
teams at the bottom half of the league that were
coming off of wins.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Yeah, it's the I guess I'm glad you said that.
But I was ready to like shock the world because
I have the exact same thirteen fourteen ft well not
the exact same order by Texans thirteen nine, Ers fourteen,
Steelers fifteen and so the same three teams I feel
in that. So there is that gap. I think my
eleven and twelve there's a I think there's even a
gap after eleven. The charges at twelve and yeah, I
was like, I kind of didn't I to send a

message to the Steelers and say, you know what, I'm
dropping you out of fifteen. But I was like, who
the heck? Yeah, I mean the kidding me? The Jaguars, Like,
no chance, I was putting the Jacks.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
What like the falcon to the panther. What are we
talking about here? Dallas days lost. If Dallas would have
won they might have been in my top ten, but
I mean the Commanders and Bears are like like blood
right now exactly, I'm.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Like minutes, so come on, what are we doing?

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Like everybody's just kind of at this point, like from
teams thirteen down, it's just like.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Who are you?

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Yeah, somebody make a move to kind of identify who
you are in the grand scheme of this.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Yeah, some of them could take it's funny because I
felt like, what was it one of the week and
you kind of made fun of me? Which, right, so
it was like week three or something. I had like
a bunch of teams tied for fifteen. All these teams
I think, I feel like are making a move. I
don't know who. There's too many good teams blood, But
with the fifteen now it's.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Like it's like who's fifteen? I mean, I don't even
know if they deserve to have it every fifteen? Who's
your eleven? You said, the twelve? This one, this, this
is spicy? Maybe the Philadelphia Eagles.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Oh my god, after a thirty four to ten win, Yeah,
well that's.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
The Giants and they lost their guys whatever.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
I don't well, see do you think that that did
deflate the Giants to have that game spiral out of
control as much as they couldn't, you know, just kind
of bounce back from Scattabo getting hurt because it was
close when he got hurt.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Just that game was kind of like there was a
couple like bat Well you you talked a lot about
the twist. There were some like bad calls in that game,
or or at least close calls, bad breaks for the
Giants to put it that way when the game was
still in doubt. Yeah, And it was like so I
could just feel like they're like because they're always doing
that pill battle as it is, and then they lose.
Like whatever you say about good Scataboos or not, he's

he's like he had juice and he's touchdown in that game.
I'm sure there was a deflating aspect of that. And
then you're like you're trying to make these plays and
you know you're out matched personnel wise, and you feel
like you're and then you know you get a bad
call here, a bad call. I just felt like, I.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Mean, like you're not even allowed to strip the ball
out of Jalen hurt hand at that point, How could you?

Speaker 1 (03:47):
I hope it's maybe it is a meme. By it
probably everything turns into a meme where where Brian Dable
plays like so angry at the officialty he puts his
like is headst on his slaves, it on his head
like that very dramatic. Yes, but so so I'm still,
like I said, I've I've been. I just still think
there's an implosion factor possible with the Eagles, and is

the compliment to as much as we just made fun of,
like you know, thirteen or fourteen, fifteen on not in anybody.
I think there's To me, the Chargers are definite twelve
to me. Yeah, and then there's and there's a and
that's a way above the thirteen in my mind, that
has never been.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
A more twelve team than the Chargers right now.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
Yeah, it's like throughout their history, I feel like such
a number twelve. Yeah, are and the top eleven you
can I think much. I think there's a top four
that are the same that it's kind of like the quarterbacks.
There's a four you can order them. I'll not say
any what you want, but there's a top four to
AFC two, NFC. Yes, okay, me too. Okay, So I
think we're on the same page. But five to eleven,

you could just put them in and shake it like
the Seahawks. I have much much quote unquote muchhigher than you,
but I don't have a problem and put them eleven
either like you do. All right, Number ten for me,
I have the Buffalo Bills.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
Okay, they just pounded the Panthers this week, but it's
the Panthers, although the Panthers were over five hundred and
I bet on the Panthers this week, So the Panthers,
but the Bills did what they had to do. Rico
Dwell will still run it for like eight yards of
carry at some point in that game, Like they didn't
actually stop the run. Well, I think they just started
scoring so many damn points that the Panthers couldn't just

keep running the football down their throats like they like
to and that's their identity. Plus and adult was starting
the football game for them, so that didn't help things.
But Bills run defense is a serious problem still. It's
not like that was fixed against Carolina, even though you
blew out the Panthers.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
I believe they have the Chiefs this week.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Am I correct in that? Oh?

Speaker 2 (05:36):
That's it's the do you think that's correct. Bills and Chiefs,
that'll be a big test. Chiefs still really run the
ball though, so we'll see what kind of gives there.
But I got bills coming in at ten.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
I got the bills at number nine. So a lot
of what you said. But see you did it wrong
because that's number ten, or but I want to get
your nine out of the way. Okay, my number ten.

Don't ever tell me if I did it right or wrong.

Okay, you have that actual you're not put a button.
You actually have like a laser sound machine thing here
that actually thinks that sound. It's amazing your your dedication
took it from that's right. Yeah, that's quite a that's
quite a especially a guy from the South Hills, the
big road they road grow it up here. I'm well versed.

The Denver Broncos are my number ten. That is crazy
low you think so well?

Speaker 1 (06:21):
Like I said, I I reiterate, did you know not
just let's what I said. I said five to eleven.
I'll put them anywhere. But you know, I thought the
bills it was a good like bounce back for the bill.
I still believe in the bills, like kind of like
I always the emeritus vote, like I kept the Chiefs
up higher when they were through their struggles. The Broncos, man, yeah,
that was probably their most complete effort, you know, when

you have the defense that shuts down. Dallas was leading
the league in offense at that point, and they skid
the forty four points. And now you know, I guess
it was finally because the bow nixt thing has been
kind of like this. One half they stink and one
half they you know, the fourth quarter of course the
week before against the the Giants. So I was impressed
by the Broncos. I just you know, I'm again I'm

looking at who. I don't know who to put the
Bronco Like, if they played a neutral site my nine, eight, seven,
six five, I would pick the other team. So this
is a power rank. I'm impressed with the Broncos where
they there was a very good win. I put them
both the Philadelphia Eagles because of it. But I still
have nine teams I think are better than them in

the league.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
My number nine team, yours was the Buffalo Bills.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
Mine is the New England Patriots. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
I have the Pats and the Bills back to back.
Nine Pats, Bills, ten I still think the Bills are
better than the Pats, but I just couldn't do it
because the Pats.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
Are on a roll.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
They beat the Bills head to head, They're in first
place in the division.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
But I don't know there is going to be.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Adversity that hits the Patriots, like they're not just gonna
now ho hum, thirty four to ten, thirty four to
thirteen victories every week.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
Drake May's not going.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
To be the greatest quarterback to ever live every single week.
There is going to be a game where they face
some pushback. I don't know when it's gonna because their
schedule is as soft as you could possibly get.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
It is it is so weak.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
But there's going to be a time where you know,
they stumble a bit, and I think Buffalo is just
going to be.

Speaker 3 (08:13):
Right there waiting for him when that happens, and they're
going to be in striking distance. And then they got
a game against them still to come. They got to
go to Foxborough. You don't think they're licking their chops
to get revenge in front of that home crowd. So
I still lean Buffalo in the East, but the Patriots
are going to the playoffs. I don't think there's any
way around that.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Do you have any more thoughts on the Bills or
should we get to number eight because your bills are
number nine?

Speaker 1 (08:36):
Okay, well Bills, yes, yeah, fine, yes, okay, you're fine
with them. Patriots, Okay, I'll talk about Patriots.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
Might get to my Are they number eighth?

Speaker 1 (08:43):
Who's number eight? Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tampa Bay Buccaneers are
not my number eight team. Actually they are my number
eight team.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
I read my handwriting, so we're right here on Tampa
Bay together for questions. They kind of were one of
those games where it's like are they playing this week?

Speaker 1 (08:59):
Are they on?

Speaker 3 (09:00):
Oh? They won twenty three to three against the Saints,
and it's just like, yeah, that's exactly what they should
have done. So good for them, but that doesn't move
the needle at all. But just don't lose and win
kind of by a respectable margin. Both of those boxes
checked by the Bucks.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
But again, they had that game against the Lions where
they just kind of ran up against the buzzsaw.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
They bounced back with this win.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
I don't they're definitely a contender, but I don't know
they've lost a bit of shine these past couple of
weeks when you say they've.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
Lost the what's going on? And they you know, they
won this game, and they no shame in losing out
the Lions. But all of a sudden, they went from
this dynamic offense sort of Baker Mayfield MVP hype train
to the last two games only one touchdown pass you
one hundred fifty two yards this past game. I guess
they didn't need it against the Saints. That's part of
their defense was making plays against the Saints that that

didn't necessitate. It was kind of like, well, we'll just
let's get in the stadium and out of the stadium.
We know we're gonna win. We're getting Splasher mart got
a touchdown from the defense. We don't to really reinvent
the wheel here, which is which not anybody hurt almost
you know that that kind of thing. I guess you
can shock it up to that per se. But yeah, whatever,
you know, dynamicism they had and what you were saying, like, well,

these these bucks, they're they're still six and two, they're
still there, so they're gonna buy a week coming up
this week. And and to tie this together here, the
Patriots actually Patriots Bill's Rams in the next three games,
so we'll know a lot more about the Bucks after
the buy coming up after that, but definitely intriguing game.
We'll see what the Patriots do. But Patriots Bucks coming

(10:33):
up in two weeks. In terms of a kind of
a show me game, you know this team which for
the Patriots, not the Bucks. The Bucks have already shown.
I think the Bucks have already showed me what they are.
I mean, the Bucks have some nice wins, Yeah they do,
but are they truly super Bowl type? I think they.
I think so they can absorb a loss to the
Patriots and you're still gonna I didn't.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Say that show me show me game or the Patriots
is to show me game. The Bucks won't have to
enter into a show me game until they lose that
game to the pay then it might have to show
me again. Then they enter into the show me again
game like you showed me before, but now you need
to show me again.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
Because then they have Bills and Rams after that, so
they on.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
The road both although are the Bucks in Are the
Patriots even in a show me game because they meet
the Bills?

Speaker 3 (11:12):
I don't know. This is all getting very confusing right now.
Show me, not show me games. And then we got
a guy named show he pitching on the mount of
the boat series. I mean, it's all over the place
right now.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
All right, number seven, this is where I have the
Birds the Philadelphia Eagles the time that you left out
of your top ten. Sorry, but I got the Eagles here.
They won thirty four to ten. The touch push is disgusting,
not because of anything that the Eagles do, but because
the refs just don't officiate it.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
Right, What are the Eagles supposed to do?

Speaker 2 (11:35):
Like that commercial, that stupid commercial where the kids are
playing basketball.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
Have you ever seen that?

Speaker 2 (11:39):
And the ball goes out on the one kid and
the ref makes the wrong call and the kids in
the huddle and he's like, coach, it was out on me.

Speaker 3 (11:45):
And they're like, what are you doing? Don't say that
and he's like, no, coach, it was out on me.
And it's like integrity, blah blah blah.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
Hegan's not gonna do that.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
They're not gonna be Jalen Hurts is gonna wadle over
the ref and be like he took that ball from me,
that was a fumble. I wasn't down, So like, it's
not the refs. It's the Eagles fault, but the rest
just got to be better at it. Yeah or else,
it's just going to make me so mad every time
I see it. Eagles prove that they can play.

Speaker 1 (12:06):
Pretty well without A. J. Brown.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
I'm just saying he wasn't out there. They did a
good job. Trade deadline November fourth. You still have time.
You still have time to make me look right, Please, God,
just make me look right.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
And that might be one of the I don't know
if it's not well whatever, that's old other but yeah,
if the Eagles can be dynamic with that, And that's
why I keep mind on the top being because I'm
worried about the powder cake factor, where I think just
could all implode on them in some way or another,
because I just feel like that's but I think if A. J.
Brown wasn't there, then I would wouldn't feel that way.
Perhaps although they're head coach who's a Western PA guy,

just seems like that's also fragile, I guess is why
I don't why I have trouble believing in him, even
though if any Super Bowl champs, I don't believe in
him that much. So I don't know what that says
about me.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
But Saquon Torch just warmer team. The Giants in that
game start.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
A big game from him, was big from them.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
Well, and you know what, I'm starting to kind of
I'm starting to kind of, I think, get wise to
what they're doing here with him.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
Everybody's going to scratching their head right about.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
What's going on with Saquon's usage, Like why is there
some games where he's got eight carries early on in
the season. And I gotta be honest, I think a
lot of that is because of you Fanny football heads
out there are mad that you picked him second or
first overall, and it's like.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
What why is were the two thousand yard rusher doing
that again?

Speaker 3 (13:12):
And people point two very often. You know, there's not
a good track record of two thousand yard rushers really
bouncing back and having another immaculately strong season next year,
and I think people were starting to be like, is
that what's happening to Saquon? Then you see this game
against the Giants and you're like, Wow, he's still amazing.
But he had moments in the first parts of the
season too, where you'd get a ball in the backfield.
It's like Jesus, this guy's incredible. You can't bring him down.

(13:35):
So I'm starting to wonder are the Eagles wise to Hey,
what a crazy workload? Last year He's a two thousand
yard rusher, we went to the Super Bowl, We played
more games than anybody else. Maybe less Saquon in September, October,
beginning of November leads to more Saquon post Thanksgiving December,
playoff football, and we can kind of load management him

a little bit early in the season so he doesn't
hit that. Hey, I just ran for two thousand yards.
I'm gonna be gassed by week fifteen of next season.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
It's and see, you would think where you're at, you
would think that they would just have acquired or used
a backup running back more. That's the other thing.

Speaker 3 (14:16):
You think they would have upgraded that in the offseason.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
If that was strategy, that would be probably easier. Although
you know, I guess because there's been this floated that
like they were like, well, the passing games at work.
You know what, we're gonna go on show, but you
know what, We're gonna go out prove all you people wrong.
We're gonna throw the ball. If like they did that
trip where that was. And maybe it's like you get
the sense they listened to outside nows there, don't you.

That's what I mean.

Like this something doesn't seem I don't know, harmonious, or
something doesn't seem right from Afar.

Maybe like the seventies though, where they just anyway, and
if these theories are right, it's almost as if they're
just toying the people say, you know what, we're gona
get to the playoffs. We're gonna try to pass game
this week for doing the wrong game this week. We're
gonna do whatever we because we don't're gonna win it
that game, make the playoffs.

And then it's the loud card round and they're hosting
I don't know, Seattle, and it's like here's fifty carries saquon.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
Yeah, it's just kind of like the rope of dope
or something maybe, and they if you go by a
roster player by a player, they and of any champs, right,
so you know, maybe they are just the best team
and they'll show it to everybody once the year time
becomes appropriate to you're a number seventeen. Number seventeen was
the New England Patriots over them. Some the Patriots. You

meant the one thing I wanted to talk about the
Patriots was was their schedule. Right, They're six and two.
These the teams, well, they lost to the Raiders. Okay,
you should be saying, which sounds about as bad as
a loss right now, as.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
One of the more weak ones, a liar results you have.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
You thought the Raid Remember we talked I picked the
Raiders week two and they just laid an egg. And
I thought the Raiders were were something and the Raiders
would just been might be the worst team in the
league right now if I had to in terms of
who would play a neutral site tomorrow, I don't know
if I'd believe in the Raiders at all. Maybe I'm wrong,
and then maybe you look foolish. But Raiders, Dolphins, There's Saints, Titans, Browns.

(16:02):
If you made a list of the worst teams, another
Panthers at a winning record, okay, whatever, you know, worst
teams in football? That and then they had the Jets
coming up twice, and another game with the Dolphins and
the Falcons who just looked atrocious, like that's their next
game coming up. It's like, do we get up? I
mean the Patriots, what I'm getting at they might end up,
you know, thirteen and four, and everybody thinks they are

(16:24):
they really I don't know. I mean the NFL, you
win games, you win games. They still have to play
the Bucks, as we referenced before, and he still have
another game with the Bills at home. They got the
Ravens in Baltimore, when theoretically, if the Ravens aren't going
to take off, they'd be at their kind of their peak.
So they still have some tests. But hey, these guys
haven't lost. Remember last team to beat the New England

Patriots taught me. Are you familiar with this? Yeah, it's
your Pittsburgh Steelers.

Speaker 3 (16:48):
That's right. We're the Patriot Killers.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
Now in this new era, we're going to be the
one that slays the dragon, as opposed to the dragon
always slaying us. All right, Number six for me, I've
got the Denver Broncos here. Bonnix look real good. A
lot of quarterbacks look real good against that Dallas defense.
But Bonex look real good. And Denver just keeps winning.

And you remember, Chris, you know, as we kind of
do these hypothetical you know, butterfly effects with these teams records,
there are a kind of wonky leverage call against the
Colts away from them themselves being.

Speaker 3 (17:21):
Seven to one the Denver Broncos.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
So they have been a very strong team this year,
kind of quietly almost, but I feel like they're starting
to kind of round in the form they killed Dallas.

Speaker 3 (17:31):
I thought that was gonna be a bit of a shootout,
and they crushed them.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
Denver's defense is Denver's defense is the best defense in
football in a lot of categories. And they have a
ton of dudes that make a ton of plays over there.
They got the Ragnty Defensive Player of the Year, although
he went down with an injury in that Dallas game.
Pat certained they got dudes everywhere on that Denver defense.
So you had him at ten, right, I have n't
at number six, right on the outside of that top five.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
I'm willing to put them up that I go back to.
They have two losses back in mine four points on
the road, both against the Colts and the Charters. To
playoff to one the best team in football and a
playoff caliber team in the road, I just I don't know.
I still have the taste of my mouth about thirteen
eleven against the Jets and then the Giants. Were you
just guldn't shut out going to the fourth quarter? What

(18:16):
was it again? The Giants again? Like whatever that happens.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
That The weird thing is is like, okay, thirteen eleven
against the Jets, but you survived and you were in
London and then the Giants you won, and then the Eagles.
Oh you look like crap against Eagles. Oh, but you
won like you came back in one. So it's kind
of tough, right.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
Yeah, that's why I still like that for stretch there
against the two New York teams have a combined three
wins between them. They went seven quarters with thirteen points,
and it's just like, so what they beat them both,
but so you can't really hurt them. And I guess
in the five quarters since if you're really going to
get they've scored what thirty thirty three in the one,
so they're up there seventy points in the seven quarters since,

(18:50):
so whatever. Figure out the NFL. It's the NFL. Who's
your number six? My number six team is the Seattle Seahawks.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
You have them a lot higher than myself. Yeah, And
it's like I didn't know where kind of like Denver,
where you got Seattle and then you got Seattle where
I got Denver.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
It's like we got those teams Matt mixed in our
head and it was kind of strange because Seattle was
off this week, so I kind of kind of forget
about them. Yeah, so I've actually raised them, but it's
like you start to look at kind of their resume
and stuff. I mean, I think maybe Houston coming to
life last this past week in terms of c J.
Stroud and the offense, and because watching Seattle or seeing

(19:28):
how Seattle shut them down in their most recent game,
and now seeing Houston has some life, maybe that's maybe
part of it, you know. There. I'm also going by
this that that defense really impressed me. It was the
best defense that I've seen the Steelers favor any game,
at least the Steelers played that was there was definitely
the best defense that that It just felt like the

only one that's really kind of made I want to say,
mortal made Aaron Rodgers, you know, made the Steelers offense,
which you quite like that game, so that obviously plays
a role in it too, So I still believe in him.
But yeah, again, I can't have fether enough. Five to
eleven could be you can put them anywhere do you
want to?

Bringing and it's one of those takes now where you
have it and it's like, oh crap. Now I have
to kind of root for my take, and it's not
necessarily the best thing for the Steelers to root for
this take, but I see in my mind's eye as
I close it, and more specifically, just go to ESPN
dot com and look at both of the team's schedules.
I really see on December seventh, when the Steelers go

to M and T Bank Stadium to take on the
Baltimore Ravens, Your Pittsburgh Steelers are going to be six
and six. You're Baltimore Ravens, who are not? Are Baltimore Evens.
I don't know why said that, They're Baltimore Ravens. You
just say, you know, you just fall into these cliches. Literally,
they're gonna be six and six too, and that means

have been a really strong team in Stafford has been
a very kind of quiet MVP candidate.

I think all year long, number three in the league
in scoring defense, and you have a MVP candidate quarterback.
I mean, that's that's a formula hunt. That'll probably pretty much,
you know, everything else is well, honest say it's window dressing.
But if you have those two things, you got a

like he was. The Chiefs are fourth in yardage right
now in defense right there, and they're they're probably they
might be there probably if the playoff well, if the
playoffs started today, they have the best defense of any
playoff team right now because only teams ahead of them

yardage right now are the Texans, Falcons and brown which
is kind of odd. Lo the Browns, we know a
good defense, but going so that they might have the
best defense in the the playoffs started tomorrow. They have
the best defense statistically both points and yards and they

It's a little easier to get the ball to Tailor

Defenses can do some things to stop that. Defenses can
get in Donald's grill, defenses can double and triple Justin Jefferson.
And then the playoffs come around and the Rams are
sacking the Vikings like fifteen times in that game point

look like in my mind he's been in the league

Pro season where he had eighteen hundred yards and eighteen touchdowns.

He was a freak at Wisconsin too, I mean, and
that's the thing, Like his workload at Wisconsin was heavy,
so like he had a lot of miles coming into
the NFL. You worry about that sometimes, like is there
enough there for a long career.

He is getting better and he missed some time because
of injury then, and that it's actually hit what we're
talking about, but you wonder if his body's breaking down,
and you kind of right out in my mind kind
of hit the resetting a little bit.

Yeah, Like I also, people kind of forgot about how
good he was last year when he was hurt, and.

Yeah, exactly, that's fourteen games. He had fourteen hundred yards
and eleven touchdowns last season, and of course that was
Anthony Richardson and like they were the weird Joe Flacco.
So it's like again, I'm just say like, in my mind,
I'm kind of right, like, oh, especially because we've been
so trained out running backs have a short shelf life
and there's too much trading of the tires and all
of a sudden they just lose it. And we've seen
too many of those guys. Le'Veon bells all Pro. And

then he was met and then he was out of
football pretty much. It was like bang, it was it.
Life comes at your fast and you kind of like, well,
Jonathan Taylor really Jonathan Taylor still, like you know, is
he gonna be? And and again that's my bias in
my head. And you come out and you just look
at and what now when you sit and you watch,
you know, you know when the culture coming up right,
and some of the cuts he makes, the speed he
shows like he tip breaking tackles the elucid like there

really good, don't get me wrong. You know, sometimes running
back production is the whatever you plug somebody in, see

of the things. It's like, Wow, he's fun to watch

a high. You know, he's not the McCaffrey like, he's
not doing it necessarily, although he can, you know, reception wise,

He's better at that. Now he's getting better at passing game. Yeah,
and he's not Derek Henry just you know, do the

back all the way around. But Taylor style is is

literally the two backs back to back weeks who find

for you every week. They will win your anytime touchdown

these guys have to be bad, Like you almost don't
want to bet on a Jonathan Taylor touchdown or Josh
Jacob's touchdown. So he has an incredible nose for the
end zone. He had another three touchdown performance last week,
two rushing.

Great NFL guy who hosts the NFL if Forever on

ESPN now does his own stuff, I think, But he
pointed out, you know, last year, Yeah, great year from Saquon,
Dereck Henry was not that far off of him. Derrick
Henry in fact, averaged more yards per carrie than Saquon
did last year and had more touchdowns than Saquon Barkley
did last year. Now I will say that to that Trey,
I would say yeah, because Jalen Hurts just vultures all
the damn touchdowns on the one yard line away from

Saquon Barkley. But still like last year, Dereck Henry wasn't
this ocean of a gap away from Saquon Barkley. Now,
James Cook's only like a couple hundred or one hundred
yards behind with a less game played as far as
yard is just concerned from Taylor, but no one's sniffing
him in touchdowns and yards per carry like he has
astronomically been the best running back.

Speaker 1 (43:58):
Yeah, and it's all could if it ever was, if
he stays healthy and he keeps averaging what is one
hundred and of one hundred yards per game, so he'd
be in that eighteen hundred yard range. You know, if
he if he could get up to the two thousand.
But he's on a pace for what he's on a
pace for twenty six touchdowns, right or whatever? I mean,
he has twelve and eight games, that's even caught the receipt, right,

how many touchdowns could he have this season? So, and
what I'm saying, what I'm getting at is and I
know Daniel Jones is new to the team and deserves
credit and is playing well, but not having the Star
Court like, they're not going to be a vote chair
in terms of he'll take be an attribution to.

This, right, he'll take the votes. Taylor will, They'll they'll
look at Taylor more than they will Danny Donne.

And if they go fifteen and two or sixteen and one,
if they have the best record in the league, automatically
the best offensive player generally on the best team with
the best record is going to get on MVP. Yeah,
so you go, you add up all that, and like
I said, he is he is fun to watch too
in terms of of you know, just because he can
break tackles, he's fast, he's burst through the whole. A

couple of those touchdowns, and one of the at least
one of those couple of those plays, even on this
past Sunday, was something like, wow, I didn't know, you know,
I didn't I didn't necessarily see you know that with
him or for what I thought. It's fun to watch.

It's funny now because I've been watching more I haven't.
I didn't watch an alf all prime time for probably
a decade, and I'm watching it again. Chris Burmer' is
still doing the same thing with the same references he
had when I was a kid. Yeah, so in my mind,
this is the way I treat Indiana Jones. It's like
bad Daniel Jones, or at least unproductive Daniel Jones. And
now this is like the new and improved Daniel Jones.

(45:56):
So when I say Indiana Jones. I don't think it's
a good nickname. I don't like I'm with you on that,
But it's like it's the way of like saying this
is like, this is the this is the Colts. Whether
it's Shane Stachen or put on the well, it's the
blue jersey both time. Put on that the uh, the
horseshoe on your your helmet, it's the new and improved.
Danny Dives is Indiana Jones.

No, it doesn't make sense. His name is Danny Dimes.
It's a great nickname. It's one of the better nicknames
than sports. And now he's good. So embrace it. And
there was a sort of it was derace. It was
almost like you're mocking Danny.

not anymore. So embrace it. He's Danny Dimes.
